The following stories are ongoing at my Wattpad account. For those who prefer to read on the Wattpad app, or who prefer shorter chapters, or just want to reread the stories somewhere different (or want to give me some love!), you can currently find these stories ongoing there:
A Stain that Won't Dissolve
Falling Falling Stars
Once the scheduled chapters for these come to an end, I will no longer be writing at Wattpad! And will just leave a note to anyone who finds me there that I'm on AO3 instead. It's been an interesting experiment, and a pretty spectacular failure, lol.
*
Thanks for everyone's patience while Patreon has been a bit fucky with payments and declining payments, I've experienced this myself too as a patron. The short version of the story is that Patreon started doing more of their payments through Ireland instead of the USA and didn't tell anyone, and a lot of banks freaked out because it was unexpected. As far as I know, that's the main reason this has been happening!
*
August (I always spell Augus first and have to remind myself to add the T, just little Fae Tales things) was a good month with a decent 14 chapters written across four stories, Underline the Black, A Stain that Won't Dissolve, Underline the Gold and Underline the Blue - Black got a whopping 6 chapters to itself!
And that was a total of 50,909 words. :D
My September writing is actually going to have a really heavy focus on A Stain that Won't Dissolve, other than that, I'll be diligently writing ahead because in October I'll be taking a month off from writing!!! I'll still be posting chapters as usual - more than in July and August, I was preparing for October :D - but my monthly wordcount will be set to 0 and if I want to write, I can work on anything I like, which I'm looking forward to.
I'm excited to take a full month off before NaNoWriMo, because I tend to burn out pretty badly towards the end of the year, and this is the first year of my writing life where I've managed to plan things enough that I can take a kind of holiday from writing, and while I'll still be doing other aspects of this job, writing and editing 10+ new chapters will not be a part of it. Or at least, if it is, it'll be on literally anything I want lol.
If you're particularly excited to see me work on anything in particular, including stories not listed here, please let me know!
This year I've written y'all 358,000 words, which is the equivalent of about 4 standard novels. :D
*
If you want to get updates or links to my fanfic, or hear about ongoing writing things, and read excerpts from future chapters, please find me on Twitter or Tumblr, and subscribe to my fanfiction account over at thespectaclesofthor.
If you want to keep seeing my writing and support it, come join a tier at Patreon - it's my income and it lets me share this writing with you! Alternatively, I have a Ko-Fi account for anyone who wants to support that one. :D
Sending love to all of you, from the lurkers, to the folks who just like that one story, to the peeps who aren't here for the writing and are somehow here for all my ask responses I love you all

Hey raff! Are you planning on going full patreon for your stuff, or will you move your stuff over to AO3 eventually? (after the patrons get their sticky little hands all over it of course lol) Thanks for all the great work!
hello! haha have no fear! my current AO3 fics will be updated as well (yes after my patrons have early access bc it's, y'know, what they pay for), and content will be posted on ao3 as well
however! there will be some content that will be Patreon-only, whether due to the uh, spice level not really being ideal for the ao3 crowd
i've got an inbox full of pitchforks and torches as it is and I'd rather not hold an all-you-can-torch buffet for the mouthier anons

It’s Done. (What’s Next?)
Like I promised, all selected works I announced on this post have been deleted.
There are 7 remaining works, with 6 completed, and one unfinished work recently published in October, 2021. I’m considering that part of this “new chapter” phase of my fanfic authorship. Though calling it an “authorship” seems kind of pretentious at this point...
Anyway. Thank you for understanding and being so supportive. The response has been full of kindness, patience, and gratitude that feels undeserved. Fanfic writers everywhere are lucky to have readers like you.
If you’re interested in the future of this blog, my AO3 account, and more to potentially come your way, read on...
I’ll be changing my AO3 author name and Tumblr username.
This one has been sort of a long-time coming. I’ve thought of a few names, but nothing has stuck as of yet. When that comes, I’ll announce what my new username will be on Tumblr, so that anyone who follows me knows that the name will change 24 hours after that.
The first new fanfic I will publish under this new name and phase will be a BakuDeku story.
The first chapter will be posted in September. I’ll be doing a week of announcements and plenty of teasers all throughout August regarding the summary, plot, etc. The outline is near-complete, and the story itself will end up around 20 chapters.
There will be an established publishing schedule to stay consistent.
I haven’t decided yet if it will be a one week or two week turnaround. It all depends on my work schedule, my personal life, and my original writing projects. I’ll have a better idea when the time comes.
Yes, there will be one fic I work on at a time. This will prevent the issue of impulsively publishing fics that I love that get a lot of attention, but end up never finishing.
I will only be working on one fic at a time.
This is part of me learning how to handle my mental illness more responsibly so I can better respect your expectations as a reader. I hope you can understand.
So when that new fic is published in September, I will focus solely on that until it’s completed.
I may start a Patreon account.
BUT ONLY IF... readers (both old and new) are interested in this.
This is by absolutely no means a requirement. This is only if people are interested in a concept like a private Discord server (to ask questions about fics, chat, share ideas, etc.), a view into chapters a week before they publish (depending on the schedule), or anything else that may come as exclusive.
I’m not even sure if I’ll do this, yet. Was just an idea that might be fun if readers want to feel a part of a community. We will see.
Let me know if this is of interest. If not, I’ll sweep it under the rug and never bring it up again.
I’ll be way more active on Tumblr to answer questions, talk to new readers, engage with communities I’ve left for a long time, etc.
I’m still very much a fandom loner, but I want to be more open in engaging in conversations if that’s something of interest.
Want to say another thank you.
To the readers, writers, and celebrators of storytelling who have not only supported me, but anyone else who has chosen to go through these tough decisions and are deciding to reinvent themselves for a new chapter.
I want to write better for you, and deliver stories that you deserve.
Thanks for everything.
- Drifty

So! I’ve been on tumblr since about August 2013 now. I had been away from fandom in general for a solid 3-4 years by that point, having left the Harry Potter fandom after a good deal of waning interest, which was definitely accelerated by basically everything about JKR (and this was before she outed herself as a major TERF) - adding to the canon with random shit she would say in interviews, etc, the whole “Dumbledore is gay” - but not in actual canon, including not making it canon in the movies that came after, etc. When I left the HP fandom, fandom in general was still very much on livejournal, though due to endless issues with LJ, people had already started drifting off to other platforms, which led to a widespread sensation of the fandom breaking up. My offline life got busy, I started my masters, and just didn’t have either the time or the interest in writing HP fanfic anymore. I had written 1.5 million words of fic and figured I was about out of words, anyway. My longtime friend, @moonflower-rose, had designed me an icon with the Latin phrase cacoethes scribendi, which basically means an endless mania for writing. I had started to feel that I wasn’t living up to that anymore, too, so I just quietly disappeared.
Fast forward to 2013 and my encountering the ridiculous talents of Benedict Cumberbatch via Star Trek Into Darkness (still think that title needs a colon, but what can you do) and immediately needing to see everything else he’d ever done. I’d heard of Sherlock in my last, lingering days on LJ, but hadn’t decided to delve into it at all. At this point, only series 1 and 2 were out, though setlock photos for series 3 started emerging just after I plunged wholeheartedly into the Sherlock fandom. I was hooked immediately by Ben and Martin’s acting, by the interesting stories (though I was irked from the beginning of the treatment of Irene Adler and the imposition of a hetero-ized romance of two obviously (one canonically!) gay characters). I was irked by the lazy writing and easy outs that Moffat and Gatiss always seem to prefer. Nevertheless, I was only about halfway through The Reichenbach Fall when I was seized with a feeling that was half sinking and half elated: that I needed to write about these two people. The old urge had come back, and it came back hard.
Now, a little over six years later, I’m over 2.3 million words deep into this fandom, with 88 posted stories and another that’s over 16,000 words in at this point. And the place where I re-found fandom and all of the community that comes with it, was here. It’s still astounding to me that anyone reads my stories. It’s astounding to me that 5,900 of you follow me. It’s really, really cool. :)
I used to make a post like this about every 100 new followers, but I’ve sort of slacked off it lately. If you’ve been following me for a long time, this will be repetitive and I’m sorry! But here goes:
-I generally follow everyone back, with the rider that, if the blog posts too much untagged content that I’m not interested in and can’t filter out because of the lack of tags, I’ll unfollow, just because that’s a lot of blogs. Sometimes tumblr doesn’t show me who followed me. If you’re following me and I’m not following you back and you wish I were, please, please, please just drop me a line and say so and I’ll fix it!
-I post my stories at ao3. I have not imported my HP stuff and have no desire to do so. You can still find it at skyehawke.com. As long as skyehawke is still up and running, I will leave my HP stories there. Meanwhile, my Sherlock stuff is all posted here at ao3.
-if you’re someone who has the means to support writers and artists in the fandom and that’s something you’re interested in doing, I do have a Patreon account. It’s over here. I always feel intensely squirmy about promoting this and only have it because @ravenmorganleigh made me get it (bless, lol). As a person who is perpetually struggling to make ends meet, I feel badly because I can never afford to support anyone else financially (every month that I make the rent is a win, basically). The donations people make through my Patreon have often meant the difference between being able to buy groceries or not. I don’t mean to be dramatic about this, but that’s literally the case, and I’m endlessly, endlessly grateful to every single dollar anyone has ever donated. But please don’t ever feel that you need to do this and please don’t if it isn’t something you can afford! I mean that. Also, my Patreon is set up for monthly contributions, and if you’re just dying to make a donation but want it to be a one-time thing, I also use PayPal, via my fandom email account, which is [email protected]
I’ve met some of the most amazing people here in this place and I’m very glad that I chose to come back to fandom, to find my own creative voice again, to have this chance to discuss and share excitement or rage or humour, and to be a part of so many of your lives, in whatever small way. I always get introspective at this time of the year, since it’s not only about to be a new year, but my birthday is also right at the end of the year (it’s December 30th), so I always end up having Big Thoughts About Life in this window between Christmas at the end of the year. Today, this is my Big Thought: how grateful I am to have all of you, in whatever large or small way, in my life. <3333333333333333333333

On a personal level, 2020 was not so bad.
Sure, I basically haven’t left the house since March except a few grocery runs, and that sucks. But hey:
I haven’t gotten covid
None of my close family members has gotten covid
No one I know personally has died from covid (that I know of; I sometimes worry that I should be checking facebook more often just in case)
Biden won the election
There’s a vaccine, even if I might not be able to get it for a few more months.
All my close family members are employed (including me still having a teaching job even if it’s only like 10% of our household income).
Honestly, given the year a lot of people have had, you gotta count that as a win. My mental health hasn’t even been terrible, under the circumstances. The anxiety circuits in my brain kind of burnt out around like June which I think is probably a good thing, so as long as I read/play animal crossing until my eyes are closing so that I can’t lay awake catastrophizing, I’m ok. Of course that’s fucked with my sleep schedule but that’s not so bad given that it’s 2020. I’m having a few more days where depression breaks through the meds than I did a year ago, but nothing major.
Plus other legitimately good things have happened:
I sold two magazine articles! One was published in the summer, and one is in the Jan/Feb issue about to come out.
My original writing goal for the year was 300,000 words. (For reference, in 2019 I wrote 214k.) Get Your Words Out allowed everyone to change their goal if they wanted once covid struck, so I took it down to 250,000. And I made it!
My total for the year was 250,499 words!
Of that, 213,383 was fanfic, 11,114 was original fiction, and 26,002 was nonfiction (this includes a couple metas but most was not fandom-related - magazine queries/outlines/articles and the edits I’ve been making to the textbook I use in my class).
I’m slowly, slowwwwwwly making progress on my middle grades novel, which makes up most of that 11k original.
I posted 141K words to AO3: six OMGCP fics and one short Untamed fic.
@season14podcast broke 1,000 downloads/month and has maintained it since like July or August. We also started a Patreon, which has enough patrons to pay our hosting costs each month, as well as a Discord server which has turned out to be just an awesome bunch of people.
Just as OMGCP and SPN ended, I found a new fandom to fall ass-over-teakettle into. I’m 76K into a canon-divergent Untamed fic, which is bonkers. I’ve met so many fun people on Untamed discord servers, fallen in love with Wang Yibo (in a mostly motherly way, I just want to see my bb happy and fulfilled), and have buried myself ever-more-deeply under my Marked for Later pile on AO3. I made this because I want to drag you all in with me.
Oh! And we hit a total of $100,000 raised through @fandomtrumpshate!
IDK, there are probably other good things, too. My kid is doing well, he started playing cello and every time he hits a bad note but it’s not like horrifically squawky I’m thankful he chose that over violin.
For 2021, I’m trying a 300K writing goal again. We’ll see how that goes. That’s 25k/month, which I managed 5 months in 2020. So it seems possible. Not a crazy goal to set. Beyond that, I’d like to sell at least one more magazine article and finish a draft of the MG novel. More than that would be nice, but if I can manage those two things I’ll be satisfied.
Other than that, I just wanna get vaccinated and go to Target and restaurants and volunteer at the library again. Finally go visit my family for the first time since March 2019, hopefully get to see my dad before he dies (he was diagnosed with kidney failure recently and is starting dialysis).

Patreon Plan going forward...
This is copied directly from the public post over on my Patreon. Please remember that ‘here’ refers to Patreon, not Tumblr!
Ok folks, so I've had some more time to think about what I'm going to do, and how Patreon is going to work, at least for the rest of this crazy year called 2020.
I've had a few people leave after announcing that I'll be winding things down, but I've actually had a few more join too, so I wanted to clarify things a little further for everyone.
You may remember from this post I made near the start of August, that I said I wish to focus on writing my novel, Weaver of Threads, and as such, I won't have the time or the energy to continue to post monster stories on here three times a week, as I have been doing.
Some of you expressed interest in the novel, and a few of you also said that you wished to continue to support me as a writer, which really moved me. Writing is my whole life, and without it, I think I probably wouldn't be here, so to know that you value what I create means the world to me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Now, here's what I've decided to do for the forseeable future:
Existing patrons will not be billed for September or October. Towards the end of October, I will make a decision whether to continue simply suspending billing for November and December (the likely option), or whether to unlaunch Patreon (essentially mothballing it. This means no one could access it - including me - but if I decided to relaunch, it would return as it was before, rather than completely deleting everything).
Unfortunately because of the way Patreon works, new patrons will still be charged (once) upon subscribing when billing is suspended, but they will not be charged again until I reactivate monthly billing.
I will not guarantee any new content during suspension of billing, but I may post things as and when anyway, since it's all up here anyway.
Many people were anxious that the stories on Patreon would vanish forever if I closed it down, and I have toyed with the idea of fully re-editing them and then putting them into an anthology e-book. That's still undecided because it'd be a lot of work, but if you'd like a PDF copy of any of the stories on here, let me know and I'll generate one for you (Patrons only). The only condition would be that it's not to be redistributed or posted anywhere, but I know I don't need to worry about that with you folks anyway.
The CYOA story with Gabriel will continue to be finished and posted on here though. There are four more chapters to go and it's all plotted out, with the various options taken into account. It looks like a crazy conspiracy theory in my notebook, but it's all sorted, I promise!
I think I will also complete the Ashridge Pack story, A Door to the Past (vampire), and Winter Solstice (Fae) prior to starting work on my novel. These three stories have all been properly plotted out with chapter outlines now, but it will require a lot of work to finish them all off. Ashridge and Winter Solstice will be released and sold as an e-publication, but patrons will receive a discount code if I can work out how to do that on whatever platform I post them! If I can't manage that, I'll release it on Patreon for you in full before publication.
A Door to the Past will be finished and either posted on Patreon or on Ao3 before hitting Tumblr too.
Depending on how things look when we begin November, I may continue to suspend billing for November and December, giving everyone free and full access to all the posts, but not guaranteeing any new content like monthly stories etc.
If you wish to support me financially during this time when I'm not charging you, there's always my Ko-fi (via Paypal), but no one is under any obligation to do so.
The Novel and Patreon - a tentative plan.
After my outstanding obligations (those three aforementioned multi-part stories and the CYOA) are finished, I may remove the $5 tier, but maintain only the $1 tier.
The Discord server will continue because it's a fun community and it's a nice resource and group of chill people. Once work on the Novel begins in earnest (after I've finished my outstanding obligations), and if there's enough interest, I may share worldbuilding and character info, as well as very short extracts, as I go along. This will be on the $1 tier. Let me know if there's still interest.
I plan on participating in NaNoWriMo again this year, working on Weaver of Threads. I may share my progress and extracts with you on Patreon from that too. The 'writing' and 'library' channels on Discord will probably feature a number of us sharing and stressing together, so feel free to join in! If your Discord account is not linked to Patreon, I'd suggest doing that because it's the easiest way to make sure you're linked up, otherwise, ask me and I'll generate an invite for you. Discord is for Patrons past and present, so even if you're not able to remain a patron, you can still be a part of our chilled out server.
Other Patreon rewards:
I had hoped to get my Etsy shop up and running sooner, and thus create discount codes for you, but I haven't had the chance, though I've made a lot of progress and investments in tech/equipment. I will share any discount codes on the Discord server when the Etsy shop is fully operational, so that you can still have access to these benefits.
Before I close Patreon, I will hopefully run one final mailout, featuring artwork (commissions) by Melonberri and Ilustrariane (permission has been granted!), as well as some of my own stickers and artwork. This will be done as before, with a confidential Google form where you will be required to fill in your details for postage. This info, as ever, will only be used for the purposes of the mailout and won't be shared anywhere or used by anyone other than me for that. More info to come on that front. Anything left over from this will be sold as grab bags via Ko-fi on Tumblr.
Any questions?
I realise that this is a lot of information and a lot of change. Thank you for your patience, and I hope that everything is clear. If not, do get in touch! Please leave me a comment below with your question, or get in touch on here in the private message function (it's clunky, be warned!), or on Discord or Tumblr. I want to keep you involved, and I want you to know that I value all the support you've shown me.
Thank you! G x

tying up loose ends/wip update
i have a little over a month until i start my phd, and i realize, sadly, something’s gotta give, and that’s probably going to be my fandom interaction/social media time. so i’m trying to finish/tie a few things up before my schedule explodes.
renovations
chapter 10 is complete, and i only need to revise 2 scenes of chapter 9. i’ll post them both at once since they ended up being a little shorter than the other chapters. hopefully they’ll be up in the next few days.
ace of spades
per @fraxinus and a few other anons maybe? i’ll be rereading ace of spades in the next week or so, parsing through my notes, and writing a detailed summary of how it would have ended. it’s been four years, so i have a vague memory of what i’d intended for it, and can only hope i made a diligent outline. i’m sincerely sorry i didn’t end up finishing this fic. i still love it, and it framed so much of what became my MFA thesis. i made the mistake of believing i could get it done in tandem with grad school, and i was wrong about that. by the time i graduated and had time to write fic again, my writing style and interests changed so drastically i couldn’t go back to it.
fake-dating your step brother (and other terrible ideas)
i’ve gotten a lot of asks about this over the past year, and for the most part i don’t answer them because i don’t want to inadvertently launch a shit storm. the good news is, ao3 is adding a feature to turn off comments completely, so what happened with fdysb won’t happen again.
i will not be completing this story or re-posting it to ao3. however, you can find the pdf of the existing chapters here, and read how it would have ended here. more info can be found in my fys tag.
other bellarke fics
i know i had a few unfinished km fills, but i don’t plan to go back to those, not because i’m not into bellarke (i am, but am just disgusted by the show rn) but because it’s gotten really difficult for me to write smut. i have no idea why.
untitled coriojanus fic
i’ve begun fiddling with a bosas fixit (just a one-shot) that idk if i’ll manage to finish. i’m not in a huge hurry because bosas isn’t even a wrangled fandom tag yet on ao3, and the book publicity fell totally flat. i don’t think most people even know it’s out. at least, i didn’t.
untitled stucky fic for fth
hopefully i’ll be able to work on this in july. i’ll be writing a 10k stucky werewolf fairy tale fic for fandom trumps hate! i’d love to post it before i start school, but i may have to save it for winter break. either way, it’ll be up sometime in 2020. it may be the last fic i write for a long time :(
baby/patreon
baby will finish up in august, although i’m considering posting the last couple chapters at once in july so that no one gets charged an additional month, since i don’t have any other posts scheduled in august. if i come up with some posts, i’ll stay up an extra month. after that, i’ll probably be deactivating patreon until i have a new novel, or can commit to posting consistently.
this means that if you were waiting until the end to become a patron so you could read baby all at once, you’ll want to do that in july, because by august it will be unavailable to read. i don’t have tiers, so you could read all of baby for $1.
original projects
2019 and now 2020 are turning out to be shitty years for me in terms of publishing, as well as just being shitty in general. i’m getting really exhausted by rejection and disheartened. i don’t have a lot of hope for my short story collection, which didn’t even get a partial request from the agents i sent it to, and i’m afraid it doesn’t stand much of a chance in the contests and small presses i submitted to, either. i think it’s a good book, but it requires a certain kind of editor/contest judge to champion it, and i think it will be hard to place.
i have two literary novels i’m working on, one i feel pretty good about and another that needs a major structural overhaul. i’ve also finished the first (bare bones, extremely shitty) draft of a YA SFF novel set in a simulated reality, kind of the matrix meets breaking bad, but written like a douglas adams/terry pratchett book.
all i can do is focus on the work -- writing, reading, teaching -- and have faith everything else will fall into place eventually.
as always, i’m extremely grateful for all the positivity and support i’ve received, and which motivates me to continue writing during the times i begin to lose hope.

October’s Patreon Oneshot is Now Available
We’re finally picking back up with our regularly scheduled Patreon Oneshots! My prompt patrons voted to allow me to skip July, August, and September due to how long it took to get my June oneshots out. So we’re picking back up with October. November was not kind to me mentally, and I had to take a break, but I hope the length of this oneshot makes up for the wait <33
Prompt: Prince Lance is kidnapped by Dragon Keith, becoming his treasure. Many suitors come for Lance, and Keith fights them off. Over time they become friends and feelings arise.
Prince Lance / Dragon Keith - 14,084 words As heir to the kingdom, Lance always thought he knew exactly what life had in store for him. That is, until a dragon kidnaps him at the age of sixteen. Suddenly his life is a lot less parties, lessons, and castles, and a hell of a lot more barren mountains, grumpy dragons, and boredom. From heir to prize, in just one night.
So now he’s stuck living in a cave with an adolescent, grumpy dragon who doesn’t seem to want him there but still won’t let him go. Not to mention his annoying habit of defeating every suitor who tries to come rescue Lance.
As much as he hates to admit it, he’s probably going to be here for a while. So he might as well settle in and get to know this dragon named Keith.
If you want access to this oneshot, many others like it, drabbles, early access to chapters, outlines, and other rewards, please check out my Patreon!

“How did no one notice you?” He asks instead. “You’re not exactly a huge dragon— don’t give me that look, Red. You’re practically a baby as far as dragons go—“
“I am not a baby—“
“But you’re still kind of noticeable. How did you manage to hide.”
“I didn’t go into a human town looking like this,” Keith scoffs.
And Lance’s interest is piqued. “Oh?”
“We can shapeshift.”
“You can?” His mouth drops open, eyes going wide. Keith is completely nonchalant. Completely casual about the fact that he can shapeshift. “Show me,” Lance demands.
The reply is instant. “No.”
“Please?”
“No.”
“Keith, come on—“
“No.”
“Show me. Show me. Showmeshowmeshowmeshowme.”
“Lance!” Keith snaps, whirling his head in Lance’s direction. But he doesn’t back down. He just gazes up at Keith with the saddest eyes he can muster (a trick he learned from his best friend, Hunk). Keith’s eyes narrow, and Lance can practically see the moment he resigns himself. With a long sigh, he growls, “Turn around.”
And as much as Lance wants to watch, he’ll respect Keith’s privacy if it means getting to see this. So he turns and faces the wall, excitement buzzing through his veins as he taps a hand impatiently on his leg.
He’s not sure what to expect, but his mind is whirling. Someone big, perhaps. Big and burly. With wide shoulders and thick arms. A wide chin and hairless head. Despite how young Keith seems, he can’t help but picture the human version of a dragon to be someone who could rip Lance in half—
“Okay, you can look now…” His voice is… surprisingly soft. Deep and kind of gruff, but… actually pretty pleasant.
Lance whips around, eyes wide and searching—
Keith is—
He’s—
He’s…
Wow.
He’s much smaller than Lance anticipated. Perhaps no bigger than himself? But it’s hard to tell with how he’s sitting. All hunched over with his knees pulled to his chest, arms wrapped around them. Chin on his folded arms and glaring out into the distance.
His skin is pale, and there are flecks of crimson scales that dance along his arms, all the way up his shoulders and neck, curving over his jaw to dot across his high cheekbones like freckles. Glinting like fire in the late afternoon sun.
His hair is dark. Wild and unruly. Falling to his shoulders in waves and across his forehead, hiding thick brows and intense, sharp, beautiful eyes that look more indigo than amethyst in this form.
Two thick, black horns curl out of his head, curling and twisting back along his head. Two pale, pointed ears peek out from this thick mane of hair.
HIs features are… strangely delicate. Sharp. Objectively beautiful. A deep scar runs up his right cheek from his jaw.
Full, pink lips purse into a scowl.
He looks… nervous. Uncertain. Oddly small for a creature so powerful. So inhuman.
So—
So—
“Why are you naked?!” Are the words that come tumbling out of his mouth, high pitched and strangely frantic as his heart hammers in his chest.
Keith whips around to glare at him, lips pursed and a flush rising up his neck, red against red scales. “I don’t wear clothes as a dragon, why would I have clothes now?” He snaps.
Lance slaps a hand over his eyes, though whether it’s whether he doesn’t want to see anything or because he does— he’s really not sure. All he knows is that his head is spinning and his heart is racing, and he feels giddy and dizzy. “For the love of— put on some clothes!”

Coming to Patreon this June
(And to Tumblr on August.)
Birds are made for Sunlight
Tumblr media
You always considered yourself a peaceful person, a copy of your father in serenity, honour and responsibility. When a decision of his shatters your world, you are driven into a secret relationship with Oberyn, Prince of Dorne.
None of you knew something that small would have such great consequences that would change your lives.
A.k.a.: Tired of not living for yourself and to avoid a forced marriage, you run away with Oberyn to Dorne.
Pairing: Oberyn Martell x Reader (Y/N Arryn)
A/N: In this AU, Little Finger died back when he and Brandon duelled, as in canon, so a lot of things changed as a consequence (Jon Arryn not dying is the main one). Fluff. A little bit of angst.
Warnings: Canon divergence, fluff, angst, smut, first time/virginity loss, passionate sex, oral sex, masturbation. More to be added.
Request: To remain private.
Coming on the 13th of June to Patreon.
(Coming to Tumblr and AO3 on the 15th of August)

[Support my Patreon] [Read on Ao3]
Well, guys, it’s here! This was a baby fic, but I’d love to thank all of you for the time and patience you’ve shown through the last couple of years of stagnant posting and random rambles of how much work sucks. I think I’ve settled into a groove of my new job now, and I’m hoping to get into a once a week update, kind of how I used to. Baby steps!
A special thanks to my patrons: @evertonem @starlit-catastrophe @kenobi-is-king @sylarana @frostylicker Duhaunt6, Mendacious Bean, Superlurk, and Cecily! You guys are the best!

January 1, 2019:
And Time Froze.
Will Graham died often. He died often, and nothing happened. People died, and nothing happened. Sometimes, he was commended for his work. Sometimes, he had a desire to put mirror shards in the eyes of his targets.
He doesn’t, but sometimes he thinks about it.
He’d told Alana it was a mirror, but it wasn’t, was it? He became, but he could become anything, and was he truly a person when he was constantly becoming something else? He thought of how Hannibal looked at him, hungry. How he’d slid that knife so smooth.
He’d wanted to confess something about Mason Verger. Will Graham did work outside of the United States.
Time passed, and nothing happened. Nothing happened because Will Graham was not a thing to retain information, but a thing to mirror the world around him just long enough to pass the power along. Never for himself, never himself, and nothing happened as the time passed. Will Graham wasn’t truly Will Graham. He was a ghost.
Ghost Agents aren’t people. Will Graham never had feelings for Hannibal.
Dying this time wasn’t anything special. It was nothing, but he knew it’d stain his ex-lover’s eyes forever, make them cry themselves to sleep. Enough they’d never know he was alive. Enough to know they’d not pry for him.
Enough to know he’d never again exist to them.
Despite the smell, sewers were the best of exits. Most of them were scarcely occupied by humans, and it led to avenues of quick getaways. Climbing out of the gutter and sliding out of the stained and wet jacket, he tossed it in the dumpster nearby and rounded the corner, picking up his bug-out bag.
Standing poised before a bleeding sun and Will’s only escape, Hannibal Lecter’s knife glinted, reflected and nearly blinded Will. He paused for the briefest of moments, his mind reflecting, turning in on itself. He stood slowly and gripped the duffle bag tight, calculating.
He couldn’t speak. He swallowed, throat tight, and his tongue stuck to the roof of his mouth. Nearly two years. Nearly two years, and Hannibal looked good.
Hannibal had a knife in his hand. Hannibal’s hand cut throats so smooth.
“You found me,” he said, hoarse.
“I never lost you,” Hannibal explained calmly. “You simply kept your head down and refused to see.”
Will held his breath just long enough to make it hurt. He exhaled slow, allowed it to burn.
“You going to stick me with that?”
“You were telling the truth the whole time, I think,” Hannibal said. “Bits and pieces, but true. I wondered, long after, if you had to doctor your own wounds most times, and that’s why they were so gruesome in the aftermath.”
“I’m not going to get into a knife fight with you. I’ll subdue you and move on.”
“I thought to throw away the hideous canvas, but it was a ship adrift at sea. It seemed somehow fitting for you.”
           “Enough, Hannibal.”
“It was not enough,” Hannibal interrupted, curt. “It was not so near enough time as I’d have liked, and in truth, Will Graham, I don’t believe it was near enough time for you, either.”
He tasted Ortolan and brimstone. Will bit at a dry spot on his lip, tore hard enough bleed. His grip on his bag didn’t falter, but his breath did.
“I thought you a remarkably difficult read until I realized it wasn’t that I couldn’t read you, but that you were never quite yourself to read. I miscalculated your affections, or so I supposed until I saw what it was for you to mirror someone’s affection back onto themselves. Then, I felt rather lucky in realizing I was able to experience a genuine intimacy with you.”
“You walk a fine line between arrogance and confidence.”
“You’d claim what you and I shared somehow compared to the watered-down version delivered in the coffee shop to Abigail Hobbs, whose grief and anger towards her father drew her into witness protection after your death? Or your romantic interludes with Nathanial, who could not convince you to come back to bed after you’d sufficiently pleased him?”
“If I was so unobservant I didn’t notice the third man in the room, I should retire,” said Will. It sounded far droller than he felt.
“You’re hungry for something, aren’t you?” Hannibal asked, and there it was: that look in his eye, that hungry look that made something inside of Will hungry, too.
           “No,” Will rasped.
“You once wanted to get to know me,” Hannibal urged, and his voice softened. It wasn’t rough, but hesitant, something smacking of vulnerability, but Will didn’t want to think of that right now. “I had thought you’d maybe like to know me still.”
He thought about fighting the Great, Red Dragon, how Hannibal had slit his throat so smooth. How his eyes burned, and there was a set to his jaw that hinted at a protective nature, an urge to act because he wouldn’t stand the notion that Will could get hurt again.
Will stupidly thought of Alana wondering who’d first got in his head and scrambled it all up.
“We have to go,” he said, and he glanced to his watch.
           “Will –”
“I’ll…I’ll talk, but we have to go.”
Hannibal looked likely to resist, but after a brief, taut second, he relaxed. “My car is less likely to be found.”
It wasn’t a lie. Will gripped his duffle bag tight, then relaxed. He gave a brief nod and gestured for Hannibal to lead the way.
There was a certain edge to be the one holding the keys to the car. It was a fucking Bentley, and Will allowed himself the luxury of melting into the leather. The last mission had been tiring, in truth.
There’d been a lot of missions that’d been tiring, if that was something he was willing to admit. Maybe not yet, not at a moment like this.
His duffle bag rested between his legs. In it held the key to a thousand identities, a thousand opportunities. He wasn’t sure if his mind was turning or reeling. “Tell me about Mason Verger.”
Hannibal held both hands on the wheel as they peeled through casual suburbs and took stop signs rather than street light intersections. Will saw the care of it, and his fingers fidgeted with the lock button.
“Mason Verger was a pedophile, and my work colleague shared it with me after a troubling day at set when she broke down crying and couldn’t continue the scene.
“I…do not have a tolerance for those that think themselves above the repercussions of harming the innocent that are in no place to protect themselves. I thought it important that I convince him of his wrongdoing, therefore I set out the careful planning of our friendship and his inevitable destruction.”
As orange, dull streetlights striped and skewered his face, it made his grim smile feral. Will liked it. It made him remember Dolarhyde dying. Will was shot, and Hannibal hadn’t hesitated in stabbing Dolarhyde so that Dolarhyde couldn’t stab back.
The scar was ugly, hidden only by a beard Will painstakingly maintained. It was difficult to blend in with a scar like that. Difficult to do your job when people kept asking questions.
“It was only one party, but it was enough. We procured drugs from his personal stash, and he didn’t notice that I mixed a potent blend of psychedelics into the powder. He took them without thought, and I’m sure you know the rest.”
“How the hell did you get a hold of something like that,”
“I have a friend in the pharmacy business. Big pharma is actually a large problem that the federal government should look into,” he chided lightly.
           “Not my job.”
“No, but I’d like to know about that,” he replied, and at the next stop sign he grabbed one of Will’s fidgeting hands, letting it rest in the neutral space between them on the armrest.
           “Hannibal—”
           “You said you would talk.”
He did say he’d talk. Will chewed his bottom lip and nodded in approval at Hannibal’s turn of head towards the interstate. Interstates were safe at night. Safer than people thought, so long as you didn’t drive like an ass and draw attention to yourself.
He waited for a few miles before he spoke. Hannibal’s patience was fine-tuned and calm, not at all intrusive. He knew Will had no sort of idea where they were going, knew he was at the mercy of Hannibal’s need to know.
And Will had known that walking towards the car, yet he’d gotten in anyway.
“What you saw was me using my hyper-empathy disorder in order to so completely ingrain myself into the space of another person that I’m able to aptly anticipate their needs or any potential hazards of them being within my workspace and mission. I was recruited because despite that, it doesn’t hamper my ability to kill someone, should the need arise.”
Admitting that was easier than admitting to the rest of the job. Other people had scrutinized his psyche before; one more was nothing.
           “You’re good at it.”
           “As are you,” Will countered.
“When I care about something, Will, I will protect it at all costs. I know what it is to be unable to protect the things that I love, and I promised myself that it would never happen again.”
There was something in the way that he said ‘love’ that made Will’s breath stutter past his lips.
“You don’t know me, Hannibal. You can’t suggest you love me.”
“I know more than others, otherwise you would not be so defensive of it. Instead, you’d be cruel, as you were to the rest of your targets that now think you dead.”
“You want me to be cruel to you?” Will asked –he didn’t appreciate the sound of it being more incredulous than threatening.
“No, I’m informing you that if you didn’t want me to follow you, you should have made me think you were dead. You ensured such a thing from every target after me, which leads me to assume you wanted me to find you.”
Will was still more baffled than angry that Hannibal had found him. Of all the stupid, risky, outlandish things someone had done just to get his attention…
“That’s not unreasonable, given the evidence,” Will allowed. Begrudgingly.
“And given how good you are at disappearing, I’d promised myself should I get you in this car, Will Graham, I wasn’t going to let you out of my sight again,” he continued, amiably. “As I said, I want to get to know you. I think I’d be more than pleased with what I find.”
Will looked at their hands clasped. He thought of the boat adrift at sea, likely still on the wall of that bedroom inside of a house that was dusty and abandoned. He wondered if Jack would comb through that house and find himself standing in front of that canvas. If he did, he would more than likely think of Hannibal asking Will if he wanted it back. He’d ponder it for years after, should they get away with this. Had that been a codeword? Did Will betray the organization, and I was too stupid to see it?
The bag at his feet held enough futures to last a lifetime of over and over again. Rebirth and death. Rebirth and death.
Red Dragon had tied Hannibal in a fisherman’s knot. In his spare time, Will quite enjoyed the sport of it. Maybe he’d like to know about that? Maybe they’d find a place in the forest where no prying eyes could see?
Will smiled. “I’d like to get to know you, too.”
There was nothing but miles of road behind them. Just ahead lay every possibility.

hiya guys!! I’m finally advertising my “new” patreon for comics!
It changed from the way it was before, so if you were a patreon before August of this year and you haven’t checked your messages, it’s got a lot of new things on there for you to see! I decided to keep the same page because I thought it’d be much easier for you guys not to have to pledge to a new patreon.
For clarity’s sake, also, I’d like to say that I first thought of changing the structure of my patreon because of several reasons. The most important of them was to have more fun with comics! I loved drawing them back when they weren’t a commercial thing, but I didn’t know if I could keep them coming at a steady pace. I’d always been a little scared of letting stories “die” right in the middle, but I’ve been making them for long enough that now I know my limits and my pace.
This patreon’s schedule is going to be: posting 2 pages per week if the comic is black & white, posting 1 page per week if the comic is colored. Right now I’m posting twice a week for the Nasty Shibe tier, and once a week for the Clean Shibe tier. And a few times a month I post a little colored sketch for the Fan Sheeblet tier, too.
Please give it a look if you’re interested in my comics! I’m going to post them for free after a few months that they’re completed, but it’s very fun to accompany them and I always love to read you guys’ reactions :3 ♥ The comics I’m drawing and posting and planning are actually my usual stuff (cough cough kinda nasty cough), also, so you don’t have to be worried that they’re going to be anything different from the ones I’ve already shared for free on my Ao3 or here!

Been a few months since I posted one of these. I did mention in my last one about cutting back on fandom writing to focus on original works. Well... believe it or not, considering how many WIPs I have, I have actually cut back (a lot less last minute fics and no longer doing prompts on my Patreon). I am currently WIP jumping around the below PLUS three original WIPs, so I am getting there (slowly) 😊
As some of you may know, I have top surgery coming up in June, so please be aware that some of the posting dates on the below may change, and/or I may have to drop some depending on how recovery goes!
In order of availability as of April 2018:
Driven Hannigram - different meeting AU - 1 chapter Ficlet based on I Drove All Night by Roy Orbison Patreon: Snippet available AO3: April (I will actually be posting this on tumblr then back dating it on AO3 later - see here for more details).
Doubt The Sun  Spacedogs - Soulmate AU - 9 chapters Soul mates finding each other on a planet of 7 billion people is getting less likely by the decade, even for those who registered their marks with The Agency. Nigel doesn’t even think about his potential other half, never really has. He has bigger concerns than romance. Nigel is an undercover cop and he’s just started a relationship with an unknowing Gabi as part of his cover. Deep cover is dangerous so the last thing he needs at this point is to run into his predestined soul mate - the blunt and totally gorgeous Adam Raki. Patreon: COMPLETE! AO3: 3/9 chapters available - I will be posting this on AO3 May 2018
A Mistake Worth Making The Big Unit (Allan Fischer x Lee Fallon) - 1 chapter A case at work leads to a chance encounter with a charming American. Patreon: COMPLETE  AO3: May
The Evening of The Wedding Evening Wedding (Buddy x Jacob) - 2 chapters New Installment of Tagged for Time Travel: On the evening of his sister’s wedding Buddy’s life takes an unexpected turn when he meets a stranger out of time. Patreon: April/May AO3: May/June
Untitled  Basic Chickens (Elias x Adam Towers) - 2 chapters New Installment of It’s Not A Secret - for babybullfest Patreon: April/May AO3: May
Designated Sitter Chocolate Dogs (Nigel x Aiden) - Werewolf AU (not omegaverse) Nigel would have stayed a lone wolf if his ex hadn’t insisted they join a pack before their daughter was born. Now Gabi has left and he raising Brie alone whilst trying to keep in good with Lecter - the pack alpha. So when Lecter needs him for a job and sends over a babysitter, Nigel can’t really refuse. Though don’t think he hasn’t considered it when the sitter turns out to be some kid called Aiden who has exactly zero childcare experience! Patreon: 1/7 chapters available - posting resuming May 2018 AO3: 1/7 chapters available - posting resuming in the summer
Untitled Hannibal Extended Universe commission Patreon: N/A - I don’t post commissions early AO3: TBC
Murderland Hannigram - AU - 2 chapters Will Graham has always wanted to be an FBI Agent, and shit is about to get real/unreal. Patreon: June AO3: August
Trope: Flower Shop AU (Hannigram AU) Hannigram - Omegaverse Hannibal owns a flower shop and becomes particularly intrigued by the scent of grumpy local cop, Will Graham.  Patreon: June AO3: July
Fine Dining Hannigram - Omegaverse New Installment of Food Lovers: Hannibal goes into rut. Will is thrilled. Patreon: June AO3: July
Spacepuppy (working title) Spacedogs - Omegaverse Nigel and Adam end up with a baby...  Patreon: June AO3: July
From The Beginning Hannigram - Season 1 omegaverse Isn’t latent biology an interesting thing? Maybe that is the reason Will and Hannibal hit it off so quickly - the deep connection they find between them that leaves them feeling practically conjoined. Or ~ another Season 1 AU with almost immediate Hannigram and some weird biology thrown in. Patreon: TBC - but hopefully July/August AO3: TBC Note - I will not be posting this on either platform until completed, they will then be posted first on Patreon.
Trope: Unexpected Pregnancy AU (Hannigram AU) Hannigram - Omegaverse An unexpected pregnancy, with a twist - for Hannibal Reel Fest Patreon: TBC AO3: August
Untitled Hannigram (kinda) Hannibal pre-Will for Ravage Patreon: N/A  AO3: TBC
Untitled Hannigram - AU  Midsummer Night’s Dream Hannigram for Murder Husbands Big Bang Patreon: TBC AO3: November
A Hundred Years From Today Stucky - omegaverse Bucky and Steve have been friends since forever, but when Steve asks Bucky for help during his first heat it drives a wedge between them that will echo through the years. Patreon: N/A AO3: 3 chapters currently available
So that’s it for now. I will likely post updates here now and then. For more regular updates, occasional snippets, and advance access - check out becoming a Patron for $4.50: TigerPrawn on Patreon.
💖💖💖 Thanks for checking this out! 💖💖💖

So I followed you originally for the kamafuta writing and in not going to lie I was beginning to get low-key salty about how you haven't updated in forever, but then I read bbac (holy shit that was a ride, it took me a week and I'm a fast reader) and I realized that each chapter you wrote is about 26000 works and I'm not salty that you haven't updated in a while because Jesus Christ that is impressive and your such a damn good writer who am I to complain. (Good luck with moving in and writing❤️)
as the recipient writer of this ask, i go :c a little. i understand wanting an update of things, especially rarepair content, but i create a lot of varied things and i don’t owe anyone anything. if you buy my book, then you receive a completed project. if you support me on patreon, then you get everything in your reward tier, such as early access and voting rights. if you purchase a commission from me, then you will again receive a completed project. but most of my stuff up on ao3 and ff.net? i write it, in my dwindling free time, and make it available for free to anyone with internet access. i’m not getting paid for it. posting stories online for free is not a transaction. it is at my discretion & availability that i work on projects, or even that i make them available to everyone.
but honestly, as a person, i completely understand. it’s totally normal to have preferences in content you’d like to see, especially from creators you like. it happens. i certainly have 47320948327 preferences of my own. do i go “man, i wish x person would go back to creating y content!” - absolutely. but aside from very special cases - if they are my close friend, if they are open for commissions, etc - i keep it to myself, or share in private with like-minded individuals. while i empathize with your desires (hell, i want more kamafuta content, too), as a writer (not even as the writer in question, tbqh) i find a lot of this ask rude.
but i also don’t mean to come across mean or insulted here! i hope you don’t take that away from this. i’m very, VERY flattered that you have decided to read my other things, especially bbac! it holds a Very Special place in my heart. i’m really happy when people read it! it’s very fun, and i think it has a lot to offer everyone.
that said, what the actual fuck do you mean i haven’t updated in awhile, it has been two months. i have had chapters in that behemoth break ao3′s character limit. some of those shits are 70k+. i’m not proud of that, but it is what it is, and the longest y’all have ever had to wait for a chapter is what. five months? plus updates of other things? (up until this last chapter, i was updating two other stories regularly as well.) the last chapter of bbac is going up on august 1st, with an early update for my patreon supporters, and i’ll return to my other projects when that is done and my life has calmed down. moving is pretty stressful, and i already feel guilty as sin for prioritizing bbac solely like this, but it’s what i have to do and what i’m doing.
i hope you continue to enjoy what i produce, no matter how long it takes me. if nothing else, you’ve already gone in for the long haul on bbac, so might as well touch that all the way through.
also, i wrote a kamafuta bbac side story. delight in it as i have.

progress update!!
Since we're halfway through July, I figured it was time for an update on current projects and what to expect in the next coming weeks!
- Petrichor is done and awaiting revisions, so expect sneak peeks, the cover reveal, and possible wip sketches of interior chapter art. Release on this book is scheduled for the Fall Equinox, so mark your calendars for September 22 for the thrilling conclusion to the Tempest Series!
- I'm currently over half done with my next book project and it's scheduled to be completed at the end of this month (fingers crossed). It's a fantasy book with bdsm elements, Drow, and polyamory so get psyched for that! (This will be a fic first and I'll be releasing the chapter notes and all that on patreon as well. If you've any comments/criticism/edits, please let me know too! I'm hoping my usual readers can serve as a sort of focus group before I turn it into original fiction)
- I've begun working on the chapter notes for Apricity, the prequel to the Tempest Series main books and I'm hoping to work on the book during August. I'm not sure yet when to expect the finished product to be published, but you can definitely expect it either around December or early next year, my artist's time permitting!
- Are you into anthologies? I've been working on one with some friends! It's horror themed and it should hopefully be ready sometime at the beginning of August. I'll be promoting it here and on tumblr both so keep an eye out for that too. It will be available for free download off of gumroad and will contain work from a few of my writer and artist friends!
Whoo, that's a lot isn't it? As you can imagine, I'm hard at work this month seeing to all of these projects. I should also have a few commissions posted on patreon and ao3 soon as well from some of our higher tiered patrons, so expect some content soon!
Also! Have you got Facebook or Goodreads? Turns out I'm now on both! Follow me on both for updates on projects, giveaways, events, and more and help get my work out there!
Until next time~
