ive seen people suggest that the bad batch should have been min-maxed in order to counteract the sheer power they have as characters w/ those sets of abilities, and I agree. it would help to round them out physically so they're not just combat gods, and also it would give them weaknesses that they could deal with with other characters.

ive seen someone (why do I get the sense it was @ollovae3 who said most of this) suggest that since Crosshair has such good vision for sniping, he can hardly see anything up close. if wrecker's huge then he's got a slow metabolism to go with it, or maybe even joint problems, who knows (I think it'd also be cool if his armor was mechanical so that he'd be able to lift a 2+ ton gunship without severely hurting himself). hunter has the magnetic sensing and the Heightened Senses but also he goes into sensory overload more easily than the rest. god forbid he has a stuffy nose cause then he can't even hear. the common cold would take him out. harsh noises overwhelm him. tech's knowledge...im not sure. maybe it's severely limited to technological things, and if he has shit memory than he could need constant reminding of goals/plans, and would need help staying focused.

on twitter I was talking about how I'd write tbb given half an opportunity. hunter is the youngest on the team and so is insecure as a leader because he was decanted late enough that there was, at first, a marked difference in how much he had to learn and how much tbb had to learn. maybe crosshair resents him for this. either way hunter's emotionally a coward and avoids conflict (which would explain why he just. ignored crosshairs existence for the most part after he started hunting them down lmao)

i can understand (however corny) the brains/brawn juxtaposition between tech and wrecker. rather than be racist about it though, first tech's design is changing lol. then we don't just make wrecker the more emotionally intelligent one of the two. he obv cares about everyone but sometimes he's pushy and wont give Omega her space when she needs it. otherwise, he's got intuition for physics since he and tech or crosshair often have to work together to get past an issue. and since his powerup is entirely physical, he'd be the medic rather than tech, whos the team IT/mechanic and would only know basic first aid.

wrekcer's being the weapons specialist also means that he's got a strong knowledge of chemistry. "destruction is an art" is his catch phrase ive decided. he teaches omega a lot about the human body and also bombs.

added to hunter's insecurity: there's no particular field that he's an expert in the way the other three are. they have internal conflict in this now.

they do literally everything as a team. great for when theyre all together, but god forbid one of them is taken out of the equation, then its like a table that's missing a leg. since they almost exclusively (at least it seems like it) train with each other, if/when they actually have to face other clones, they're too used to their own fighting styles to be able to move through the conflict smoothly.

My brother is more of a Sonic fan than me to the point where he has beaten sonic adventure 2 battle with only one hand and regularly attempts speedruns of many of the games so seeing the sonic movie with him was very funny because he knows a ton of lore about the characters and meanwhile the only sonic games I’ve come close to finishing are Unleashed and Colors (the best ones obvs) so I have the knowledge of sonic a 13 year old in 2010 would have which is wide-eyed wonderment at the flashing colors and powerful friendship and nothing else

He’s like “ah yes this was a reference to a moment in the soundtrack of this game etc etc” “oh we first see sonic do that in this game” and I’m just sitting here mouth agape going “TAILS DID THE SHADOW CLONE JUTSU”

Hello Anon!!!! I'm sorry to say that I accidentally deleted your other ask about what ship you wanted, but don't worry! I did read it before I deleted it lol.

Also, I wanted to get this up yesterday, but I...had kind of a rough day because of work. I'm not very rested, but I'm feeling much better and I now present to you your list!!!

Oh, you've probably read all of these. I don't have too many codywan sith Obi-Wan fics at the moment. LMAO JUST REALIZED THE REASON I DON'T HAVE VERY MANY IS BECAUSE I NEVER GOT TO BOOKMARKING ALL THE CODYWANWEEK SITH AU FICS SO THERE'S THAT

That being said, I did rec a few of this years fics, which I realize you mentioned in the ask....lol whoops. I'm also saying that you should read all of the sith au fics from the event.

A Beast Among Bookends; or, How to Domesticate Your Feral Librarian by @the-writing-mill A separation and a tumble on a mission leads Obi-Wan Kenobi down a different path in life.

Years later, during the clone wars, the 212th is sent to take out Darth Libri after failed attempts by both the CIS and Republic to sway him to their sides. The mission does not go well.

But if Cody choosing to stay with the vode's nightmare for a bit can spare his brothers, well... that's not really a choice, is it?

Limited By The Light by @wanderingjedihistorian After watching the missile come so close to killing Cody, Obi-Wan is done. He welcomes the Dark and all the power it brings. He won't be limited by the light any longer. It is time for the war to end.

What came after by @galateagalvanized “Are you all the Council sent, then?” Bo-Katan asks, swinging one leg over the speeder’s seat. Her voice is raspy, and Cody wonders if it’s from smoke inhalation. “Considering they wouldn’t help with the first Sith, I guess I should be glad for any help at all with the second.”

It's the first time he's heard someone use that word to describe Kenobi, and he bristles.

oh how unreasonably in love I am by @buckytheboss “Hello there,” Obi-wan Kenobi said to him, not even looking in his direction. The Sith was laying in the grass, hands behind his head, and copper hair spread in the grass around him. He turned to face him, and somehow it surprised Cody that his eyes were yellow. That’s just how Sith were, he’d been told. But it seemed…. wrong.

On Reasonable Terms by @wanderingjedihistorian Prince Cody of Mandalore captured the Sith Emperor's interest the first time he saw him in battle. Obi-Wan is only mortal and can't resist making Cody return to Coruscant with him as part of Mandalore's surrender. It is perhaps both the best, and the most foolish, thing he has ever done.

After all, even if he died, his life couldn't get any worse.

Addressing Batman’s Abuse

Damian: I killed someone

Bruce(and the rest of the batfamily but mostly bruce): It’s ok it’s because of your childhood, you were raised to be an assassin as long as you didn’t murder anyone innocent and do better next time

Dick: I killed someone

Bruce: well i saved them didn’t count bye

Tim: I killed someone

Bruce: Seriously Tim? ok I’m kinda disappointed but i’ll be ok in a little bit(actually idk cause I can’t recall if tim ever killed someone)

Jason: I killed someone

Bruce: HOW DARE YOU BREAK THE NO KILL RULE YOU LITTLE PIECE OF **** WE HAVE MORALS YOU’RE JUST ANOTHER CRIMINAL, A MURDERER, A MONSTER YOU LET THEM WIN IF YOU KILL

Alright enough with the jokes let’s get serious, let’s talk about the abuse. I have a lot to unpack and if you’re like me who doesn’t have the patience to read long things if they don’t matter then i’m sorry . I can read school stuff but fanfiction more than like 30 chapters irritates me which is stupid because I love to read but the human brain is A FUCKING ANNOYING HYPOCRITE. I love the batbros with all my heart and we hate to see bad stuff happen to them. but Bruce...he can get away with hurting the people who he should see as sons and who in turn consider him a father figure. He is essentially taking advantage of their love for his cause. Because the most important thing is batman and the mission which he will hold above his own children, the people in his life who care about him and support him in his insane crusade. Batman is someone who is consumed by this darkness that causes him to sacrifice everything for the mission. It is stated multiple times that his Robins are supposed to be better than him, they’re not needed as assistants in the battlefield but rather emotional support as they bring a little light to Bruce's pain and vengeful darkness. The Robins become better people than Bruce.

There are obvious examples of Bruce’s abuse such as his second Robin now Red Hood Jason Todd. Now I may be biased as he is my favorite but I love all the robins dearly so FREAKING much. Jason is constantly remembered as Batman’s greatest failure. Why is that? we are led to believe it’s because Bruce didn’t save him but really it’s because Jason didn’t fall in line with Batman’s code which is where we see the flaws in Batman’s philosophy. Why doesn’t Batman just kill the Joker? Jason makes some very valid points saying that all Joker does is cause pain and he keeps breaking out of prison and causing more pain and it’s a vicious cycle, a revolving door that Batman refuses to end. Joker and Batman are almost obsessed with each other. But Batman refuses to kill Joker saying if he does he can’t come back and Joker will win. It’s a war between numbers and moral high ground. But in reality who cares if Joker wins? It’s vague what does it even mean? Joker keeps on killing and if he was gone the world would be safer? It doesn’t matter if he wins as long as people live. Jason Todd is someone who is constantly hurt by the people who are supposed to love him. An example of this is Batman choosing to save Joker rather than his own son in the Under the Red Hood storyline. Jason is clearly heartbroken over the fact that Bruce refuses to kill the person who MURDERED HIM saying “I thought I’d be the last person you ever let him hurt” Jason obviously has lots of trauma PTSD depression and he probably just wants to feel safe pleading with Bruce to just kill Joker that’s it saying “doing it because he took me away from you” which Batman refuses just saying I can’t.

Now there’s other instances that make my blood boil such as Batman and Robin #20. Damian died in Batman Inc. and obviously since Bruce can’t ever deal with pain in a healthy constructive way, he goes full dark and rage and sadness. He becomes desperate to bring Damian back, being abusive to Tim even when Batman tried to experiment on Frankenstein to bring Damian back and Tim blew the lab up. But Jason...oh god...Bruce wants Jason on a mission in Ethiopia to bring the people who tried to kill Damian justice . (Talia put a bounty on his head) and then Jason agreed, excited at the chance of working with someone he considers a father again. Jason has ceased his killing he has calmed down from when he tried to hurt them all, his mind was damaged by the lazarus pit and he went insane with pain and rage. From my pseudo psychologist perspective I think he thought hurting them would make his pain cease if he tried to hurt the things that caused his pain it would fix him. Anyway Jason is on kinder terms with them but it’s still rough. They’re not all that kind with him sure he’s made mistakes but they all have and he’s really sorry about it. Anyway after taking those bad guys down they talk about family and trust and faith. Then...Bruce does it and reveals the real reason why they came to Ethiopia. Bruce wanted to bring Jason to the place he DIED. WHERE THERE IS A BUTT TON OF TRAUMA. Jason is just so shocked at first he stands there looking numb. He isn't even angry yet. He stands there feeling the pain of that horrible day saying”You lied to me. this wasn't about taking down those mercenaries. You wanted to bring me here..to the worst place in the world...and here I was starting to believe all your crap about trust and faith” He sounds broken which he is he’s been broken by so many people and now Bruce who isn’t supposed to break him just did by taking advantage of him and bringing him to somewhere of horrible trauma. Bruce reveals that he brought Jason here so he could figure out how to bring Damian back to life explaining “Those killers were the mission but this was something else something I couldn’t ignore I thought bringing you here could jog your memory-maybe retrieve a buried buried deep in your subconscious that could help piece together how you came to life so I” and Jason finishes this saying “-could apply it to getting Damian back. Yeah I get it. Did it ever occur to you I might like keeping whatever the hell happened to me buried deep?”Obviously, Jason doesn’t want to relieve his trauma, he doesn’t want to deal with what happened to him a second time. He just wants to move on but Bruce won’t let him. Bruce doesn’t seem to acknowledge Jason’s trauma nor does he seem to care for his well being. “If you cared about me, you wouldn’t want me to dredge up the one thing I've been trying to forget. I don’t want to remember the most horrific day of my life, all right? You may like wallowing in your tragedies but I’m done looking back” which is true all Batman does is sit in the pain of his parents death and he can’t heal like and he spreads pain to others at this rate the dead parents excuse gets a little old. BUT THEN BRUCE HAS THE AUDACITY TO SAY “If you cared about me and what I’ve lost, you’d want to dredge this up! Don’t you see-there’s a chance you can help me erase one of the worst days of my life. You can give me the greatest gift of all and help me figure out how to bring my son back!” Here he uses a lot of pronouns referring to himself, CARED ABOUT ME, I’VE LOST, HELP ME, MY LIFE, GIVE ME, HELP ME, MY SON. Yes Bruce, make it all about you, cause we definitely want you too. You’re a grown ass man and Jason is the more mature person here, honestly all the Robins learn to process grief and heal and grow and they’re just generally better people. Bruce is basically saying I care more about Damian than I care about you and my needs are greater than yours so screw your feelings, your feelings don’t matter. He really only seems to care about himself and he wants to erase his own pain. He doesn’t even seem to consider what Damian would want and what being brought back to life would do to him. Jason knows what it’s like, the pain of it, he’s probably the only person who would understand why someone wouldn’t want to come back. After All of this Bruce doesn’t even apologize and makes some half assed promise for unconditional truth but Jason still accepts this and helps Bruce get Damian’s body back from Darkseid even though he didn’t have to.

Also there’s battle of the cowl which I desperately try to ignore but what I can tell Bruce *cough* died *cough* at this rate whenever Bruce dies or some crap I’m like ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT??? But sorry back to the topic. Bruce had a message for Jason for everyone else was just like I hope you’re doing well I love y’all live your life for JASON HOWEVER. He was all like you’re a failure not because I didn’t save you but because I don’t like how you turned out. Also you have problems, you’re mentally ill(I know but don’t have to be so awful about it)and there’s a secret I shouldn’t have kept and bye. And he suggests help but WHY DIDN’T HE GET JASON HELP WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER HMMMMM? It’s so obvious Jason’s childhood is full of abuse of course he has bad mental health and all that jazz. Also he puts Jason in Arkham where the Joker is 5 DOORS DOWN. I don’t think I have to say anything but they could literally put him in ANY OTHER PRISON. Why this one idk?

Bruce beat Jason and was probably about to kill Jason in RHATO #25. All beacuse Jason shot penguin and since Red Hood is a criminal blah blah blah Bruce has to do something. Actually he doesn’t as he just assumes Jason killed him which he didn’t also he didn’t seem to consider mind control or clones or whatever and he thought it was a good idea to beat the crap out of his sons. Jason even points this out”You are a character, I’ve never seen you beat Joker that hard and you hate him”...Bruce is beating him harder than the Joker. BRUCE IS BEATING HIS GODDAMN SON, SO HE HATES HIS SON MORE THAN JOKER??? Here we see how Bruce constantly chooses Joker over Jason.

Let's also talk about Dick his first son (I love my circus boi). After Jason died *sob*(i’m gonna cry) Dick is pretty darn sad and Bruce didn’t tell him shit so he’s obv like hey what’s the deal and BRUCE HAS THE AUDACITY TO BE MAD AT DICK. and he tries to kick Dick out of his life and be like leave your key get outta my face and he punched Dick LIKE BOI YOU DIDN’T TELL HIM ABOUT THE FUNERAL OR THE FACE THAT JASON DIED. We already knew it was bad because Bruce and Dick argued like my parents argue which is pretty bad. Lo and behold Bruce doesn’t apologize.

Also Nightwing #30 after Dick was outed as Nightwing and fake died on telelvision. Bruce used like WAAAAAAY excessive force. They were sparring but it got real violent real fast. And Nightwing wasn’t in the right mindset he was traumatized and Bruce totally took advantage of him by asking him to work for Spyral which Dick obv didn’t want to do but Bruce fucking FORCED that crap onto him after something as awful as that and he probably knew Dick would give in eventually that bastard. No, Bruce doesn’t apologize either.

Most recently Batman #71...now see this is Tim’s turn and I love my big brain boi Tim... and when you love a fictional character you know something bad is gonna happen. Bruce’s abuse, it’s kinda worse cause he’s a fucking KID. now Bruce be like let’s meet and shit so most of them are there and some evil villain is doing their thang and Tim is tryin be nice comforting Bruce, telling him that Tim will always be there and that Tim will help AND BRUCE FUCKING PUNCHED HIM. HE WAS JUST TRYIN BE NICE AND HELP YOU FEEL BETTER YOU POS. Now do we see Bruce apologize? NOOOOO. What did you expect? Honestly it’s not that hard it’s a simple sentences even a dumbass like you can manage it

Now I’m not totally familiar with any abuse on Damian but it’s there. Bruce is allergic to emotions, and it’s hard for him to be emotionally supportive and show any affection whatsoever. Showing any semblance of pride to Damian is like me trying to do pushups it’s FUCKING impossible for Bruce to show any compassion toward his son whatsoever (seriously though push ups are a pain in the ass I’m not athletic whatsoever why do you think I waste my time venting on tumblr the only thing I’m good for is being the smart kid in school and even then some people outshine me in that.)...sad but I’m not here to complain about that. Anyway Dick is a BAMF and openly shows Damian hey i’m proud of you and I love you. IT’S NOT THAT HARD BRUCE.

Bruce can’t ever be happy, he doesn’t let himself be happy because he can’t move on from that tragedy that happened to him. And he doesn’t allow anyone around him to be happy either. Shown as when Dick is like hey I can be in love with someone and we can be long term we can be happy together. BRUCE BE LIKE NUH HUH VIGILANTES CAN’T BE HAPPY WE HAVE TO SACRIFICE FOR THE MISSION. Let your son be FUCKING HAPPY. I know I sound like I hate him and maybe I do a bit but I don’t think he’s like completely Joker evil and irredeemable. I just can’t deal with how DC handles abusers like Bruce and having characters enable this behavior. We need to know that Bruce’s behavior is not ok and his children are completely numb to it, it’s normal to them and it’s disgusting. Bruce needs repercussions and he needs to know that he can’t do that to kids who love and trust him.

So I've just finished reading the solo Magneto (2014) 21 issue series and let me tell you it is wild and hella dark lol. And I have discovered so many new things about comics!Magneto including the following random gems{SPOILERS OBVS - also it's all kinda gruesome}:

- If you are a doctor/researcher/scientist who has helped mutant hate groups than Magneto will happily replace your fillings with road signs shoved (impaled!) down your throat

- Even somewhat de-powered (something something Phoenix Force he's lost a lot of his raw power) he kicks all kinds of bloody ass with a handful of nails (or barbed wire, or the bladed head of a windmill, or etc)

- A single paperclip embedded in the palm under the skin and slowly making its way up the arm is an effective way to ensure cooperation from a scientist turning test subjects into human/sentinel hybrids

- Keeps a computerized memorial wall of thousands of mutants killed by humans, in a secret bunker in the Adirondacks

- Will chop the arms AND legs off a mutant (Greycrow, a Marauder clone of Sinister's) who mass murdered other mutants to teach him a lesson about turning on your own kind

- If you are a hot, human female who stalks Magneto he will definitely threaten you with your own metal leg brace, then, sleep with you when you prove to be useful by providing him with information and resources to go after anti-mutant hate groups, then, threaten you again by casually throwing you around the room until you tell him the 'real' reason you're helping him...

- ...And it turns out the real reason is you were a victim of one of his rampages as a teen and that's why you're wearing that leg brace, but also, you're part of a sub-culture of people who are "fans" of world-threatening villains and his powers/violence just turns you on???

- Will inject you with a Mutant Growth Hormone and turn you into a mutant for a few seconds just so that he can feed you to the giant mutant killing dog beasts that have been killing innocent mutants in your 'fighting ring'

- S.H.I.E.L.D. is somehow both useless and over-confident when dealing with a de-powered Magneto, not bothering to question why he would willingly turn himself in, thereby letting him on their Helicarrier so he could destroy their Cerebro knockoff (based on stolen tech obvs) and their (definitely not legal) database of mutants.

- Also their lead agent tells Magneto (Magneto! to his FACE!) that she doesn't really care about all the mutants that have been murdered left and right by hateful humans because her job is to bring Magneto in (for killing all those hateful humans murdering mutants). I am amazed at the self control shown by Erik Lehnsherr for not tearing her damn head off with his bare hands.

- More proof that 'Magneto is right' is actually true sometimes when he murders the shit out of Red Skull and drops a ton of bricks on his head for a) turning the ruins of Genosha into a mutant death camp and b) stealing a part of poor dead Charles Xavier's brain and grafting it to his own. Really unfortunate that Wanda and Rogue are there to poo poo him killing murderous Nazis and telling him he's bad for killing murderous Nazis jesus fucking wept. (Sadly the death doesn't stick).

- Turns out one of the mutant prisoners he rescues has a power that turns your nightmares real and it ends up turning Mag's Nazi boogeyman into a real life serial killer that goes on a murdering spree in the new refuge he builds on Genosha. The only way to get rid of it is if the original mutant who brought it to life dies (because she can't control it or stop it and once it's created it's un-killable by conventional means) so Mags...kills the mutant (with her blessing natch) just before the dream Nazi murders his human girlfriend (yikes).

- The series ends with him 'dying' while trying to save Earth from colliding with a parallel Earth because the barrier between realities is breaking down and he's fighting off massive Sentinels from the other 'Earth' while siphoning all of his own Earth's magnetic force (which is slowly giving him tiny aneurysms) to repel the other world and he's inner monologuing the whole time and he comes to some sort of epiphany about his legacy and than his final actual words are:

"Ah...Charles...Why didn't I see?"

It is all incredibly extra and I highly recommend 10/10 satellites!!!

okay we’re just over two days out from the beginning of the end ep 15 so here are some of my soft predictions for tbb - as in i’m not dead set on thinking any of these are 4 sure gonna happen (and tbh i’ll take what we get), but just roughly going off of the vibes i’m getting rn:

• hunter and crosshair are gonna get rescued and omega will be instrumental in this

• omega has some special ability that we still haven’t seen yet

• ahsoka could be a part of this rescue mission (they already said she was gonna be in this show ‘in a limited capacity’ so whatever that means lol plus she could very well be working w rex wherever he was in ep 14)

• none of the batch is gonna die

• nala se might die (in some sacrificial way that will try to make us feel sorry for her, which obvs won’t make up for fives, but i’ll still take it if it gets the batch out alive), lama su is most likely gonna be executed

• 50/50 on whether these last two episodes are going to have longer runtimes

• the ending of ep 16 will be some kind of cliffhanger/start of a new goal/mission and will be the thing that let’s us know there’ll be a s2

• tbb is gonna get the rebels treatment and end up getting 3 or 4 seasons total, in which they’ll explain 1) how the clones are eventually ‘decommissioned’, 2) how rex found wolffe and what caused them and gregor to stop fighting for the rebellion, and 3) where ahsoka is between tbb and rebels

• if any member of the batch dies, it’s gonna be in the final season, [redacted] from rebels-style

• maul’s gonna be involved at some point *john mulaney voice* as that is a given

• (also i feel like tbobf might give some people some plot armor the way the mandalorian brought in a lot of tcw and rebels but that’s just kinda my own personal shot in the dark lol)

sources: just me thinking they’re acting a little too playful on the twitter for anything majorly sad to be coming. also the fact that no one can give a clear ‘no’ every time they’re asked if there will be future seasons. and the fact that they said they always have more stories to tell with these characters. and how much they seem to love their new animation. and dbb calling crosshair a linchpin member of the group. and the tons of ends they now have an opportunity to tie up between tcw and rebels.

oh anon i have lots :)

recently i have been fond of the idea of anakin discovering a tiny in captivity/slavery, like on zygerria, and him just deciding he needs to save them because he cannot stand by and let someone be treated like he was as a child

he would be INSANELY soft when he rescues them. they would be cowering in a cage and anakin would be SO angry at whoever did this to them but would have to convince the tiny that he’s friendly

it’s less “i won’t hurt you” from him, more “i have to get you out of here” and “i can save you from this place”

obvs anakin is super imposing, with the unruly hair and the scar across his eye and the all-black and ohmygoshhe’ssoTALL, but of course he’s a jedi so he’s trustworthy because of that

he would kind of just slip the tiny into a pocket and he would absolutely go nuts trying to find out who did this to them. when he found them he would be SO angry and so violent and the tiny would be like 😳😳😳😳😳😳 shaking in the pocket

the tiny is absolutely confounded by anakin. he is helping them but also he’s fucking feral and they’re terrified of him

anakin keeps them hidden and takes them back to the ship. he doesnt wanna tell obi-wan until they hit hyperspace so he would be able to basically keep them and help them

he tries asking them a ton of questions but they’re like shaking so badly because of what anakin did before, and anakin realizes this and has to calm them down and get them to not be so afraid

he tells them he knows what it’s like to be sold into slavery, he obviously does not tell this to them lightly bc ahsoka didnt even know for a long time, and the tiny kind of gives him this look of “okay, i’ll give you a chance”

he promises to keep them safe and help get them back on their feet and protect them. this is when he starts to say “i promise i won’t let anybody hurt you ever again”

anakin makes it his personal mission to befriend this tiny and get them back to a semi-normal life and they end up having a lot in common and they become very good friends. the tiny trusts anakin with their life and loves to be around him because they feel so safe with him

they become the cute little companion of the 501st and everyone just adores them. ahsoka is like a cool sister and the clones are like goofy older brothers and the tiny is just forever thankful for anakin and all he did for them

-Eldritch Monster AU! Hermits are all Lovecraftian horrors who all individually decided that they wanted to pretend to be normal and are all trying to hide their otherworldliness. I also feel like Mumbo or X or someone as the one actually "normal" player on the server would work well. Most hermits don't know that everyone else isn't normal either, but some find out about friends maybe.

-Rabid Debate Club AU :: Random weird au idea where it's basic hs/uni au but like two of them try to start a debate club, then invite some friends just so there's enough people; cut to like two months later, it's all the hermits just fighting over whether or not pineapple should go on pizza or not lol it isn't very good i'm sorry but ya know rabid debate club AU.

-Animal/shapeshifting AU :: (Suggested Twice.) Every hermit can shapeshift into one token animal. (If it's something like "dog," they can only turn into one breed and color of dog, EXAMPLE: doc can shift into a black sable belgian malinois, but not anything else.)

-Wedding Planners AU :: Hermits work in various unrelated businesses such as a bakery, flower shop, etc., but see each other semi-often bc they're semi-often called upon to work together by another hermit's wedding planning business (obvs if you couldn't tell i know absolutely nothing abt wedding planning & businesses n shit lol but it's the /concept/ of it yannknow)

-Avatar: The Last Air Bender AU. (Suggested Thrice.)

-Fusion AU :: (Also suggested by Anon.) (Suggested Twice.) What if Hermits could fuse with each other? (Viva and Jumbo fused into MumboJumbo.)

-SCP AU :: The hermits have spooky powers and are kept locked up bc of it (or they have to keep the world safe from monsters and cursed objects!)

-Adventure Time AU :: The hermits live in a post-apocalyptic world and the Lich (bad guy) is making everything decay. They need to gather all the gems (belt colours) to unlock the Enchiridion (a book) and have one wish each granted from Prismo (multiverse wish granting dude) before the Lich does. Only 4 elements can enter the multiverse: Slime (The Lich & Jevin), Redstone (Tango or Mumbo?), Ice (Stress), and Dirt (Grian, much to his dismay). Only the elementals can see the book. Grian's the protagonist with his sidekick Scar. He originally started collecting the belts because they were shiny but eventually decided to read the book and find out what they were for when Scar said he didn't see it. Doc, False, and Iskall are major obstacles because they don't believe the book exists.</p>

Like Wels is from the mediveal/dark era, Mumbo is from 1890-1920's, Iskall is from 2030, TFC is from 2020(?), Cleo is from 2130, etc!!! Like the mobs/animals became feused with humans, is when the mob players came from.

-Star Trek AU :: Like maybe they could be on one ship and each have different roles like engineers or doctors? I don’t know if this has been suggested but hope you enjoy! - 🐦

-House Mates AU :: ApartmentAU but scaled down?

-Atlantis AU :: (Could be merged with Mermaid AU???)

-Fighting Game AU :: Some influences would be Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Ultra Instinct, that kind of stuff.

Xisuma - Making barriers, teleporting, and transforming into different mobs. Scar - Making mutant plants & boosting other hermits' attack & health. (-@datsaltyperson.)

-Demon AU :: Something enters the overworld and turns into a supernatural style-demon through Dimentional Distortion. Who gets posessed first, who goes crazy, and who actually kills it? Honestly I think that, if anything, Tango would know how to gank it, for obvious reasons. (-@fireflower-dusk.)

-High Street AU :: Everyone owns a different shop on the same street or some run a shop together (-@violets-arepurple.)

-Cat AU :: Either they're were always cats, or Hels turned everyone, including himself, into a cat, and they have to survive and overcome challenges in the Season 7 world. An example of a challenge would be Cub's a Sand Cat(the cats that always look like kittens no matter how old they are and live in deserts), and everyone's not sure if he can actually swim, so they have to find a way for him to get around without involving water. -How about a secret AU.. Every hermit has their big secrets and when Grian joined. He doesn't really know anything about those secrets even till season 7. Not many hermits talked to him in S6 anyway.. Mumbo was the closest to him so they would have regular chats For Iskall is mostly business related things Grian wants to know why so he set out on a quest to force the others to at least talk to him so he wouldn't be lonely. -Hermit Family AU :: Xisuma is very busy dad but when he isnt busy the kids and younger hermits annoying the hell out of him. Grian once asked to use Xisuma's computer and crashed the whole thing trying to download illegal gamesites and get money off the internet. BJ summons a bunch of clones and they have impromptu dance parties just because

Neither of them know how to clean up after themselves at all

They pick on each other for anything and everything

BJ taught Lydia how to tame sandworms and they tried bringing like three of them into the house. Charles almost killed them both

Lydia likes to say random shit to BJ just to watch his hair change colors. It's very entertaining

They have mini sleepovers where they'll just sit in Lydia's room and talk about anything and everything

BJ was the first person Lydia told about her being gay and ace

Sometimes they try and sneak BJ's pet rats out past the others for walks and it never ends well but hey, rat adventures are always worth it

Lydia summons BJ just because she's bored and they fuck shit up

Once Lydia went out and bought a shit ton of spray paint, and she and BJ painted the roof. Three days went by before Adam found out and told Delia who proceeded to tell Charles. They were all *pissed* (Besides Barbara, who thought it was really funny)

Lydia jokingly bought everyone in the house spray bottles to use on BJ when he started to act up. Even though she did it mostly for shits and giggles, it was actually useful sometimes seeing as BJ hates water

BJ will haunt the SHIT out of anyone who dares mess with Lydia. A kid in her geometry class called her a slut and you can imagine the hell BJ put that kid through

Sometimes BJ will find little things like rats or mice or bugs and try to keep them as pets until they either run away or Lydia finally convinces him to let them go

How strictly do you follow canon? — there isnt much canon to go off of i think? the album barely even states if ziggy is an alien and b*wie himself got really wishy washy about it (sometimes saying z is a human who was contacted by aliens, he was an alien himself, etc). i dont think we know anything about him besides what he looks like (red hair / weird eyes / pale / “well hung” lmao) and he has a band called the spiders from mars, he plays the guitar left handed, he’s bisexual + androgynous, and he’s charming and popular with the teens but inevitably is a victim of his own ego. and he dies. that too. but that’s literally it! we know Nothing else about him. so i filled in all the gaps because my brain has worms. theres a little bit of the story that verges on fantasy (that he’s some sort of messiah messenger for “the infinites,” whatever the fuck THAT means, david) so i nix that because i prefer hard scifi. and theres one BIG part that i just ... deleted out of his canon, in that the world is ending in 5 years in his timeline, and he’s like ... aware of this ? but that’s dumb and confusing. i legit dont care anymore. my OC now.

SELL YOUR MUSE! Aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutuals. — im so embarrassed i know i could be genuine and actually try but i have brain blockajjolajlakala33lak33klak333ak3jka3akjj323j3 i guess it’s like ... ziggy is truly the ultimate expression OF humanity because he reveals everything both wrong and right about the human condition, he literally embodies the best of humanity and the worst at the same time, he’s a really interesting critique on the idea of genuineness/earnestness vs commercalism in art, the perils of fame, and also how humans are so inherently corrupting? a lot of thematic stuff i like exploring is like what is innate to humans vs what is learned behavior, what are things that humans do naturally that ziggy mimics out of his desire to be like us? i think he has a really good story arc -- he went from being a literal nameless CLONE in a society full of pragmatic forward thinking science-oriented people to a sell out rockstar celebrity in a society of people that value individualism and self expression and art, but in the process completely lost his mind and himself and gave into the worst that humanity has to offer like rampant selfishness, drug abuse, self destructive tendencies, etc. characters changing is always interesting and ziggy truly changes for the worse -- but he is never just black and white, he was never good and then suddenly evil, he just was always the same person putting on different facades and trying to be himself by constructing an identity that maybe was who he wanted to be versus who he actually is. i dont know what im talking about. hes just an alien trying to be too hard to be human in all the wrong ways. i just like how “gray” ziggy is. he isnt good or bad, he can be very nice and he can be very mean, he’s overtly showboating confident but at the same time deeply afflicted with self-consciousness (why tf else would anyone be So obsessed with how they present themselves?). hes an icon of individualism but also commercialism. he’s freakishly alien but is almost more human than humans themselves. he struggles as lot in his head -- which makes for interesting writing, i guess !! Im so emabrrased im not going to go back and read what i wrote so if i typoed dont look at me

Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?). — i think ziggy comes across as really mean and nothing else. his horrible bitchy rudeness comes across as hee hee hoo hoo sassy isnt he a rascal when it’s supposed to be more like ... he’s so far gone into the celebrity delusion he’s conflated aggressive rudeness with charmingness because no one told him otherwise and everyone worships him to the point where he’s just given into the delusion that he can do no wrong. i think theres the general simplification problem that happens with a lot of fictional characters, it’s easy to see him as just a whacky sassy glittery quirky rockstar when i guess it avoids the inherent tragedy of like ... everything else about him. his totally fake and false sense of identity built up from superficial things like fame and labels and stardom. maybe my version of ziggy is just too weirdly depressing and sad when i know his original iteration wasn’t quite so ... grim. im not very sure tbh.

What inspired you to rp your muse? — hmmm ... a lot of things! i just really got into b*wie stuff in early 2019, i’ve ALWAYS loved aliens and sci-fi, and i was really shocked that db sets up such great visual storytelling potential but does it through music. i just really liked ziggys “story” and i like any chance to think about aliens so i just got invested into piecing together a little backstory for him using, like, the cumulative knowledge of literally every other piece of science fiction ive ever consumed in my life. this was summer 2019 when i was making initial pitches for my thesis film, and so i just randomly decided to pitch “animated version of ziggy stardust” as one of the potential ideas. shockingly everyone liked it a lot and so did my professor who thought it was really cool, and then i just ended up sticking with the character and working on him for an entire year. ziggy became my hobby but also my homework. he was such a fun character because everything about him was interesting to me and i had just enough source material to have a starting point but so much room to take him in any direction i wanted to.

What keeps your inspiration going? — honestly, yooooou guyssssss. i have some really amazing fwends that ive met thru here .... and some of our dumb stupid stories have literally become NOVEL length. it just self generates inspiration because you realize the limitless amount of stories you could tell with this one single character when your character enters his story or he enters their story and etc. etc. ive drawn endless amounts of comics and stuff for him ... ziggy is just so endlessly interesting ... cringe be cringed bro but recently (i know this sounds dumb bear with me or die.) ive kind of realized a lot of how i rp z comes as some metaphor for the experience of being an asian immigrant/being asian in the US -- his home “culture” is a lot stricter than the rampant selfish individualism of the usa (he only lives in the uk and usa, so he thinks the whole planet is like this), he’s dissuaded from standing out from his community and his selfishness becomes a community burden rather than a personal flaw, and when he does come to earth, he goes through such awful culture shock, literally nothing makes sense to him and everything is Different. and while some things are different in a Nice way, something things are different in an Awful way, and he’s given the option between losing his true personal identity as an atominan and giving it up to be a human. the allure of being a human is a little too much but losing yourself like this is traumatic, in a way. obvs like ... a little silly and definitely not something that i actively intended to put into his story arc, its just something that fell into place cuz i guess i worked so closely with my own personal experiences and feelings of “alienation” (pun intended) to try to understand how he would feel being a literal alien an shid. its cathartic to write about him. but he also has a lot of my own personal interests just thrown in -- 70s fashion, scifi, science, tryhard implications about human nature, art history, whatever dumb nonsense i get into

Do you accept criticism well about your portrayal? — definitely! like i said ... my version of ziggy ended up being the protag of my thesis film and for 1 yr straight his characterization, backstory, design, and even how i wanted to animate his fucking movements (ziggy stardust timing charts.) were beaten to death in a classroom environment, torn apart and rebuilt into something better. had i stayed with what i originally wanted to go with, ziggy would be so different than how i write him 2day. amazingly my pre production professor is a literal two time emmy award winning storyboard artist and animator so he definitely helped me design him (my version of ziggy is meant for ... a cartoon, obviously, not real life) and give him a better backstory? and my post production professor is a retired disney animator who worked on hercules and a bunch of old disney channel shows? had i gone wah wah wah i dont want to hear ur critiques i wouldnt have made him better. if you ever think ziggy seems inconsistent or poorly written ... tell me !! i literally major in ... animation. cartoons. entertainment. my job is to entertain you. if you are not entertained, there is a problem. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED ????

If someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why? — sure! i dont know why that would happen, though, because i mean ... he’s an OC. but i gues someone could be like “i feel like this is incongruous to things you’ve previously established in his character” or somethin

If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it? — i feel like a lot of b*wie stans would find my version of ziggy weird but i mean thats fine! i guess my goal is to have a well written character, not necessarily an accurate version of ziggy

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it? — if you hate MY version of ziggy thats fine but if u hate ziggy stardust in general (like the bowie concept) then u need some taste what the fuck is cooler than a egomaniac genderless bisexual rockstar alien with red hair? nothing. go back to watching your CW shows you dirty filthy normie

TROS REVIEW (spoilers)

Well...it was better than TLJ and there’s some pros and cons, so I’ll list them below👇👇

Things I didn’t like :

* FORCE ABILITIES

- I already hated force-FaceTiming, now you can apparently teleport objects through force connections??? Ummm yeah no.

-FORCE HEALING HAS ALWAYS BEEN CANON, BUT NOT TO THAT EXTENT WHAT THE KRIFF. It wouldn’t have been so bad if they wouldn’t have done the whole IMPALING KYLO AND THEN HEALING IT COMPLETELY thing😒. Also, it ruins other movies because there are so many instances where this could have been used. And you can say that it’s a new force ability that was discovered by Rey and Kylo (or perhaps Luke? And he taught it to both of them like when Ben was young and when Rey was training) but if that’s the case then, HOW DOES BABY YODA, WHO HAS NO TRAINING OR EVEN CONCEPT OF WHAT THE FORCE IS BC HES A BABY, KNOW HOW TO DO IT!? ok so let’s say that you have to be EXTREMELY powerful in the force to do it. So, we can say Baby Yoda is a clone of Yoda and Rey is the emperor’s granddaughter, ok so they’re really powerful and they can do it. But, why can Kylo (assuming that’s what he did to bring Rey back since both cases are channeling force energy into another being) do it? What makes him anymore powerful than Luke or Anakin? Why couldn’t they do it? Or why couldn’t Yoda do it in the Clone Wars (if Baby Yoda is his clone and obv. Yoda would be strong enough for an ability like this)? Idk the whole thing is very confusing...

- FORCE GHOSTS CANNOT INTERACT WITH THE PHYSICAL WORLD!!!! Whyyyyy would they make any indication otherwise because, once again, it ruins other movies. If force ghosts can hold objects and use the force, then why not help in battles? Is there like a force ghost code that says you can’t help your friends after death so that you don’t interfere with anything involving the way or the force or “destinies”? This just opens more questions and plot holes...why not just keep force ghosts how they were (guides/advisors that were at peace)? Instead, Luke can apparently hold his lightsaber and use the force to pick up his X-Wing. Isn’t he one with the force now? Isn’t he just a part of the flow of the force? imo, he shouldn’t be able to interact/interfere with anything in the physical world besides speaking and appearing to others.

* PLOT HOLES (there were lots of wait how did they do that, why is he here wasn’t he just-, can they do that...Moments. Also the concept of time in this movie is really bad...felt like GoT season 8 with the way they just seemed to be here and then somewhere else within 5 minutes with no real concept of time<<<but then again JJ did have a lot to cram in with this movie due to TLJ not really taking the plot ANYWHERE).

* FAKE DEATHS (too many. That’s all I’m gonna say😂).

* LACK OF LUKE IMPACT

- THIS IS HIS LEGACY. He was hardly in the Sequels and had little impact in them overall. I feel like at the end, he should have had something to do with the Emperor’s death ( my thought would be to have his force ghosts appear behind Rey and help her push back the force lightning since apparently force ghosts can do that now and that way he could have a larger role as a hero in the story and be directly involved in fulfilling his fathers final goal).

* Space Jumping

- I don’t think you should be able to exit hyperspace in the middle of the atmosphere of another planet. Also, doing it that quickly doesn’t make sense as well (once again concept of time/plot holes^^^).

Things I liked :

* The concept of the plot

-I actually liked what they tried to do with the plot, however it was just very jumpy and forced in your face sometimes (more of an explanation for this point with the points bellow). But I feel like TLJ left this movie with a lot to pick up from soooo...once again, I’m cutting it some slack.

* Sith lore

-OK SO THE THRONE ROOM (which is actually original concept art for the Emperor’s throne) AND SITH HOLOCRON/RELIC THINGS AND THE WHOLE CONCEPT OF THE DARKSIDE WAS VERY COOL.

- It gave more of an idea that the sith were a cult sort of thing it felt very tied to the history of the dark side/sith culture and I liked that a lot.

-gave a more in depth look at palps power👇 and his role in the sequels which ties it to the other trilogies as well.

* Rey/Kylo dynamic

- Not specifically Reylo (though I’ve never had a strong opinion about the ship, and I’m fine with them getting together bc I never really cared about that part) but the concept of: Ben👉🏼born out of light (Leia) but falls to darkness VS. Rey👉🏼 Born out of darkness (Palpatine) but raised in the light. Both are tempted to swing the other way around ( Kylo temped by his parents, Rey, and the force itself to go back to the light and Rey tempted by her grandfather, her need for a legacy/purpose, and Kylo to go towards the Darkness). However, in the end, Darth Vader’s grandson and Emperor Palpatine’s granddaughter (two of the most powerful Sith in history) must unite to destroy the ultimate evil and the darkness once and for all. Plus Ben’s sacrifice for Rey is really the only thing that made that kiss acceptable to me (other wise it would have been forced for fan service imo).

* Palpatine

- I think his broken body hanging from the crane was extremely terrifying (which is a good thing because you’re supposed to FEAR the emperor) and I loved the whole concept of him repairing himself with the life energy of Rey and Ben. His voice even sounded more demonic before he healed himself and I thought that was cool.

-Him being Rey’s grandfather explains A LOT about her abilities and fixes some of the parts of the movie that I didn’t like while watching.

-making him be the one to create Snoke (via cloning as we saw) was good because it shows how Snoke was just a tool he used to orchestrate this entire thing (in a way it fixed the crap pulled by killing him off in TLJ).

* Lightsaber Battles

- Let’s be real, I may not like the Force face timing or teleportation of objects via force connection....BUT that battle where Kylo figures out Rey’s location by breaking the stand Vader’s mask was on was pretty clever and the fight itself was well done.

- THE BATTLE ON THE DEATH STAR WAS VERY COOL (minus the “killing” Kylo part 😒). I liked the pure rage they both had while fighting and the jumping over the waves

* Other small parts I liked :)

-c3po (he was pretty much the comedy in this movie)

-Lando (he wasn’t in it much but they handled his character VERY WELL).

-prequel references (first time the sequels reference the prequels via quotes, lore, voices)

-voices cameos (along with what I said above^, it was REALLY cool to hear TWO animated characters make an appearance: Ahsoka and Kanan. <<<really ties it in to the rest of the franchise and makes everything more connected)

-Leia/Luke flashback (LEIA TRAINED AS A JEDI AND HER LIGHTSABER WAS SO PRETTY JSIDJDJFKFNFKGK). Side note: I was also fine with Leia’s death (she pushed all of the light-sided energy she had into Kylo, which resulted in her death but Ben’s rebirth 🥺).

-Final Scene on Tatooine (as Maul said in Rebels: “It ends where it all began. A desert planet with twin suns) ...ok but why bury the lightsabers :(

So was it the perfect ending to the Skywalker saga? No. But it did the best it could with what it had to work with. Overall, I’m happy I think and I’m just going to leave it at that. Feel free put your own opinions (I’m open to any and love to discuss SW so😂). Also there were a ton of Easter eggs that I plan on making a separate post about (I’ll probably have to watch again before that to see if I missed any)!
