The Best Things Take Time
Bucky has a code. You manage to crack it.
Tumblr media
A/N: This took me so long because I wasn't really sure how I wanted to go about it. I'm pretty happy with it, I think. Also, my first request! I hope I did your brain-child justice. :) Warnings: Mild language. Based on this request. Note: I do not own the character Bucky Barnes or any other Marvel affiliated characters.
You do not have permission to repost or translate my work; however, feel free to like, comment, and/or reblog.
----
Bucky Barnes decided early on in his life as a free man that he wasn’t going to try and date—even with Sam and Yori pushing him all the time. His triggers are gone, yes, but he is starkly aware that he still has a long way to go before he might be considered ready to give time and energy to another person on a daily basis. However, if there is anyone in the world that makes him reconsider his own rule, it’s you.
The two of you first formally met when Steve, Sam, and yourself finally tracked him down. You were kind to him, but you kept your distance. He never made many attempts to speak with you, but the short interactions he did have with you were short and clinical. He never asked, but he’s pretty sure you’re afraid of him—of what he’s done.
Despite this assumption, Bucky takes note of the way you drop everything to help him time and time again. You back him in Washington, you back him in Siberia, you back him in Wakanda, and you back him in Washington in the second go-round. He is appreciative—very much so—but he keeps his distance regardless. After all, he shouldn’t risk losing an ally by something as silly as small talk.
Things begin to change, though, when he runs into you at the airport. Both him and you felt the need to get on Sam’s back about giving up the shield.
“What are you doing here?” You ask, a little indignantly. You cringe a little at your tone, but you brush it off nonetheless.
Bucky shoots you an annoyed look before turning to Sam.
Throughout the mission to track down the Flag Smashers, you and Bucky bicker (even more than Sam and Bucky do). You challenge him on every opinion he shares, poke fun at every misstep he takes, and side with Sam for the sake of disagreeing with him. He returns the favor, and he ignores the bitter taste it leaves in his mouth.
Your interactions are not particularly pleasant, sure, but they’re existent—which is progress.
“Does he always stare like that?” Walker asks Sam, eyeing Bucky uncomfortably.
“You get used to it,” Sam replies.
You glare at Walker. His attitude towards you and your boys bothers you. His entitlement to Steve’s shield and name bothers you. He bothers you.
“Does she always stare like that?” Walker asks, shifting uncomfortably in his seat.
“Only when douchebags harass my friends,” you deadpan.
You are plenty aware this is the first time you’ve called Bucky your friend, and you can tell he is too by the way his eyes shift from Walker to you. You’re not aware, though, that your concession of friendship serves as the push he needs to talk to you more.
It takes time, but over the next few weeks, Bucky manages to get you to open up. He’s surprised with himself by how he’s willing to talk to you; after all, people are usually trying to get him to talk.
Bucky finds out that you’re actually not as reserved as he thought, but you had heard both Steve’s stories of before and multiple people’s accounts of after. Your distance, you admit, was a consequence of you trying to give him space when everyone else was crowding him. Your teasing and bickering with him was a consequence of trying to create said space. The revelation makes Bucky’s heart clench: no one has made him feel so cared for in a long time.
Bucky sticks by his no dating rule, though. After all, you may be friends, and you may be acting nicer to him lately, but there’s no way you like him like that.
Or, at least he thinks so until Louisiana.
“Hey, Sarah,” Bucky says, flashing a charming smile at her from where he sits next to Sam and yourself on the dock.
“Hey!” You smack his chest with the back of your hand. “No flirting with Sam’s sister.”
He lets his attention shift to you, and he can’t help the surprise. He’s aware that you could just be enforcing Sam’s demand from earlier, but you’re so adamant. He thinks maybe he sees a flash of jealousy in your eyes, but he thinks, too, he might just be seeing what he wants to see.
Sam and Sarah continue to bicker before she shoos the three of you away from the boat. Sam and Bucky step onto the dock and begin to walk away before you, and they keep walking even when Sarah stops you.
“Subtle,” she says, smirking at you. You wave her off, your face heating up with a blush.
“Shut up,” you say, embarrassment entwined with each syllable.
Bucky thinks maybe—just maybe—you might like him back.
Looking back on the last few years, Bucky can hardly believe the journey you and he had been on. Being so distant most of your time together in the first few years, and then being so rude to each other the next few, and then needing a push from the Wilsons to actually do anything about your feelings… it was interesting, to say the least.
He remembers the day you agreed to leave Louisiana with him. It was an impulsive decision, but it led to the first time the two of you had truly been alone together. It led to inside jokes and deep conversations. It led to a genuine friendship.
“I’m headed out tomorrow,” Bucky informed you and Sam.
The three of you were sitting on the porch of Sarah’s house, conversation flowing from friendly jests, to Karli, to the boat, to whatever else. Your head shot up to stare at him, eyes widening.
“What? Why?” Your tone was a little panicked. Bucky raised his eyebrows at your tone. Sam laughed, and you shot him a glare.
“I don’t want to overstay my welcome, Doll,” he said. Ever since the incident with Sarah, he’d let a few pet names for you fall from his lips, and he smugly noted the way they made you squirm.
“Oh.”
“Well!” Sam exclaimed, clapping his palms on his knees as he stood. “I’m gonna go check on Sarah and the boys while you,” he pointed at the two of you in turn, “figure whatever is going on here out.”
You protested, but Sam was gone without another word. Neither one of you spoke for a moment, and you chewed on your lip.
“You’re really going?” You asked shyly.
“Yeah.”
“Oh.”
“You can come with me, if you want,” he offered before he can think better of himself.
Your eyes shot to his, analyzing his face for any sort of jest. He seemed sincere, and once you decided he wasn’t pulling your leg, you responded.
“Okay.”
He remembers the day the two of you finally addressed that you were more than friends. Bucky, of course, has a no dating rule, and you? You had no such thing, but you weren’t dating either. In fact, you hadn’t since before Karli and the Flag Smashers showed up.
Bucky and yourself were at a bar, drinking and laughing with one another. He was sober, of course, but you were a little tipsy. You had a dopey smile on your face that he thought was the prettiest thing he’d ever seen. He still thinks your smile is the prettiest thing he’s ever seen.
That’s when a young woman sauntered up to the bar. She was gorgeous; her long, black braids reached her waist, her lips were painted a bright red color, and she wore a halter top that left little to the imagination.
“Hi,” she said, grabbing your attention, shooting you a flirtatious smile.
“Hi!” You said, the alcohol making you friendlier than you usually are.
“I saw you across the bar, and I was jus’ wonderin’, would you wanna grab a drink with me? Maybe dance a lil’?” Her eyes dragged down your body and back up to your eyes.
Your eyes widened and you blushed.
“Oh, uh! T-thank you! I’m flattered, but, uh, I got my guy right here, and I kinda like him too much to date!” You sort of yell-whispered the confession to the girl.
She glanced behind you to Bucky whose eyes had also widened in shock, his mouth hanging open a little. The woman laughed and touched your shoulder comfortingly.
“‘s alright,” she assured. “Was worth a shot, though.”
She turned to Bucky then.
“Yo, congrats, man. You’re a lucky guy once you two talk that through.”
With that, she had left, and you turned around to Bucky.
“Look,” you said, more sober sounding than you’d been since the two of you arrived at the bar. “I don’t know what you think this is, or what you want it to be, but I’m all in if you are.”
Bucky leaned forward and kissed you without a second thought.
And he remembers the moment he decided he was going to marry you, if you’d have him.
The two of you were sitting on the couch in your shared apartment; after about two years of dating, you insisted you live together.
“Buck, you’re always here. All your stuff is here. I don’t think you’ve stepped foot in your apartment in a month. You’re just wasting money on rent at this point.”
You were leaned into his side, eyes glued to the tv screen. The two of you were watching The Princess Bride (it’s one of the many movies you insisted was so culturally significant that he had to see it). It was the way you would turn to him at your favorite parts, gauging his reactions to see if he loved it like you did; the way you would mouth the most iconic lines along with the characters; and the way you would sigh contentedly and cuddle further into his side at the romantic scenes that really pulled the realization from deep within him. And, perhaps, it was the way you produced the most ridiculous voice to say "Mawwiage! Mawwiage is what bwings us here today!" that truly brought the idea of marrying you to the forefront of his mind. Regardless, he knew he wanted you around for the rest of his already over-extended lifetime.
Bucky Barnes decided early on in his life as a free man that he wasn’t going to try and date, and he decided late in his life as a free man that he wasn't going to ever try and date anyone other than you. So, here he finds himself, kneeling on the ground in front of you with a ring extended towards your person, and hoping you'll say yes.
"Sweetheart, I know we've had a lot of ups and downs. We met when I wasn't truly myself, we got together when I was still figuring out who I am on my own—without Steve, without HYDRA—but no matter what, you've been there for me. You're still here for me.
"You deserve the world, Doll, and I want to give it to you. I want to be here for all your ups and downs, and I want to spend my life being to you what you've already been to me.
"You're my partner, you're my best friend, you're the love of my life. And if you'll have me, I'll be your king, if you'll be my queen. I'll be your husband, if you'll be my wife.
"Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N, will you marry me?"
You let out a laugh through a sob, pulling your hand to your face to quickly wipe your tears away, and you nod vigorously. You drop to your knees, pulling Bucky's face into your hands, caressing his cheek gently. Smiling, you respond.
"James Bucky Barnes, of course I'll marry you."

looking for more rp partners on discord!! would absolutely love another small town mumu (multimuse) or two, extra info about me & what i'm looking for under the cut!
hiya, thanks for clickin!! my name is mo! i'm 28, she/her, and i'm in the PST timezone! i'm exclusively looking for rp partners who are at least 21+ please (but preferably closer to my age)! i write on discord only in a private rp server (with tupperbox!) i'll make for us!! i looove organization and will make us some character & ship categories, as well as a town worldbuilding section, i'll also keep track of things like the in-game calendar and timelines in reference to our threads!! once i get invested in an rp, i'm IN THERE in there
i write all genders, but i only write f/f, m/f, and nb ships! i'm looking for writing partners who are similar in enjoying and wanting to write all genders (and who have equal muse for all their characters regardless of gender) as i'm interested in exploring multiple ships and characters! i am also looking for a partner who likes to write a wide variety of ages, as I enjoy writing characters anywhere between the ages of 20s-50s! i prefer using & being opposite by faceclaims with resources from films & tv (i'm not interested in opposites such as sabrina carpenter, harry styles, madison beer, and the like)
i'd love an rp partner who loves to worldbuild, plot, write headcanons (or do little rp memes), share inspo stuff, and chat ooc! pinterest boards and playlists are a bonus! i really enjoy building a friendship with my rp partners as well as a fun, collaborative writing experience! i would absolutely LOVE to create a small town with a new partner and come up with its location, the names of shops and other places, some NPC names, maybe plot up some town lore & history, ect, and fill it up with a bunch of diverse characters and relationships we can continue to add on to over time! i'm interested in exploring relationships of all kinds, including romantic, platonic, familial, antagonistic, ect! for example, new budding romances, exes on good and/or bad terms, toxic exes or relationships, old high school sweethearts, best friends, friends who fell out or grew apart, close siblings, sibling rivals, and just other fun and/or complicated connections ahoy! i just love multi-muses and being able to write a living, breathing town filled with characters who can all freely interact with each other!
because i'd love a slowly expanding cast of characters (maybe start with 2-3 characters each and go from there?), it's very preferable to me that replies stay on the shorter side, as in one paragraph or less (unless the thread is really plot significant or intense/emotional! ik those can get away for us length-wise LOL) this way we can prioritize quality over quantity, and actually get to see relationships & plots evolve over time in many threads rather than spend weeks or months on a single thread and never actually get to all the good stuff we've plotted. in my experience, it's way more fun to have an evolving mumu where replies take maybe 5-10 minutes to write, and it also allows us to keep the progress of the rp going at a continual pace, which keeps it fun, exciting, and fresh!
i am happy to write smut when the relationship/thread calls for it, and i also enjoy nsfw headcanons alongside sfw ones! i'd say i prefer a 80/20 story to smut ratio. i am also comfortable with most dark or complicated themes, but this will probably be case by case basis. i'm looking for a soap opera inspired town mumu, basically! a good variety mix of drama & intrigue, angst & fluff, smut & sweetness, tragedy & other dark themes, ect, but nothing too intensely or consistently dark or taboo
i'd consider myself to be a pretty active rp partner for the most part (i'm in college plus i work sporadic hours as a private tutor) and when replies are on the shorter side, i can usually do at least one set of replies (if we are writing multiple threads at a time, i personally enjoy writing 2 at a time!) a day, but likely more, and i'm down for rapid-fire sessions as well when i can! i prefer my partner to have similar activity (it's difficult for me to stay invested in an rp when it mostly just consists of hcs & shared inspo, and when there is very little actual writing happening), though i don't at ALL want my partner to feel pressured to write replies!! it's just a hobby, not a jobby! things happen & life gets busy! but i really appreciate communication and transparency with rp friends! just lmk what's up and i'll do the same for you! and if you can't do replies for some reason, i'm always happy to just chat ooc or do some inspo chatting or plotting!!
this got so long, if you read all of it ily! if you have any questions or are interested in all this shit by me, please send me an IM!! or if you like or comment on this ad, i'll reach out to you! ty!! if i don't reach out it's because i found something in your guidelines that i don't think is compatible with this plot ad (usually has to do with desired reply length being multi-paragraph/novella, listed low activity, if the blog is heavily smut-centric, or rules state exclusively wanting to write one gender or kind of ship) but if your guidelines are out of date pls feel free to reach out anyway!!

i want to hear the sports anime manifesto
Tumblr media
Okay short version:
My life was a sports anime for a bit, and watching sports anime makes me nostalgic for those days.
Medium version:
The typical shonen sports anime deals with themes of camaraderie, ambition, and the intersections of camaraderie and ambition, which ALWAYS hits me right in the chest.
I'm not an ambitious person by nature, but--you know that one poem floating around on here, the one about the moth that wants nothing more than to fly into the flame, and how it would be nice to feel that kind of all consuming passion? Yeah, that's the feeling I get from sports anime.
And often, for the Team Sports anime, you'll get characters who have nothing in common except that they Love the Same Thing--a friendship/rivalry/(romance) formed on the basis of a shared interest. That's sweet as hell!
And they're super predictable and low stress for me. Very easy to watch! Total popcorn shows. Also I like listening to people infodump about their passions. Someone loved their Sport so much they wrote a whole-ass story about it, so yeah, eat that shit up.
Long version:
The Socioeconomic Inequalities of High School Sports
In high school, I was on a crappy underfunded soccer team (with a healthy dose of sexism) and due to [sports league division reasons] the schools we played against were almost exclusively private schools.
I cannot describe how existential it is to be wearing a hand-me-down formerly white-turned-disgusting-gray uniform that's at least five years old when playing against a team that gets brand new windbreakers every season.
(If you've read AAB, YES this is where my obsession with the windbreakers comes from.)
(Hilariously, the guys team got windbreakers but we didn't.)
(I am not over the fucking windbreakers.)
But anyway, when you're constantly losing to private schools you get this fucking complex about it.
This should come as no surprise but like. People with the time and resources to practice their Thing get good at their Thing.
Playing pick up soccer at the park is practice. Playing rec league soccer is organized, repeated practice.
Playing competitive club soccer is all of that, plus a coach who knows How To Coach and What The Sport Is, plus you get morale-boosting uniforms and the chance to play with and against other skilled players. So you're exposed to a lot more, and thus, you learn a lot more.
Competitive club soccer is also Expensive. Rich kids get good.
There's a reason why the "Powerhouse School" is a thing in sports anime, because it's a thing in real life. People with leisure time and money get to invest in their sports development, and everyone else gets left behind in the dust. It's basically a microcosm of capitalism.
The underdog sports story is (quite tragically) bootstraps propaganda. All you have to do is be really good and work really hard and have A LOT OF PASSION to get good at your sport! The cream rises to the top! This is a meritocracy! Let's ignore all the other factors that go into an individual's development as an athlete!
(My brother got scouted for club soccer as a kid. He actually went to tryouts and got offered a spot and a scholarship and everything, but there's SO many hidden fees after the initial registration. Uniforms, equipment, travel and accommodation, tournaments, plus like, the time sink, so we never signed him up. And equipment-wise, soccer is one of the cheapest sports you can play--just imagine the price for something like baseball or hockey.)
In sports anime, there is no reform. There is no revolution.
But sports anime isn't really about that. It's about the narratives we create when we convince ourselves that we deserve to win.
(You know what I mean. Every billionaire is convinced they're some sort of heroic underdog. The same exact kind of 'working your way up' narrative.)
Sports anime is like, the uncomplicated power fantasy of playing the game. It's a world where you are rewarded for your hard work, because it's narratively satisfying. It's a world where it's safe to want things, because you have the exact same chances as the private school kids.
I used to be an obnoxiously competitive child. Then I got all my competition beaten out of me by 3 straight years of constant losing in my clownagerie of a high school soccer team (affectionate). I am going to admit that experience made me a better person and I would not trade it for anything, but I also had to like, relearn how to want things. And maybe real life is not as equal opportunity as the world of sports anime, but I think it's good to want things.
Of course, the winner-loser dichotomy makes sense in sports because of the inherent nature of competition, but it doesn't make sense in stuff like society and economics because that's like, competing over the right to live. That's where the capitalism metaphor ends,
Does sports anime actually go into the socioeconomic inequalities of sports? No. Of course not. Giant Killing never got a season 2.
But it is something I think about when I write sports anime fic. Even if it's not the point, it influences my characterization. The ego of a prodigy character in a shitty sports program is different from the ego of a prodigy character in a rich kid sports program. I am obligated to my amateur attempts to capture the complexities of the high school sports environment in my fanfiction because I am fucking insane I had a specific high school sports experience and they do say to write what you know.
#MEG I SWEAR TO YOU I WILL READ TANGERINE AT SOME POINT#I have so many thoughts about sports anime which is tragic because sports anime is not that deep#it is never that deep#part of the reason why I got so sucked into Daiya is because of the powerhouse school setting#and the fact that Eijun was so obviously lost because he never had that kind of organized system before#people give Seidou a lot of shit for 'not helping Eijun' enough but genuinely it's because he has NO CLUE how to reach out#I poured so much brainpower into Eijun's backstory in my brain it's embarrassing as hell#*shaking fanfic authors by the shoulders* YEAH THE CUTTHROAT COMPETION SUCKS BUT YOU DONT FIX IT BY SENDING HIM TO A DIFFERENT SCHOOL#I also am the only person who understands Miyuki Kazuya (exaggeration)#everyone gives him shit for the Nabe thing and look. yes he was wrong.#but I was once in that same exact situation and responded exactly the same way#Daiya no Ace is not about friendship#it's about Ambition#and people tend to make Eijun the sweet sentimental sunshine friendship guy#but he has JUST as much cutthroat ambition as Miyuki#that's why they work. that's why they understand each other#there's a whole essay I could write about Misawa but it's basically just chapter 18 of AAB#anyway if you want to watch a sports anime that does the Healthy Ambition and the Friendship Thing in the most wholesome way possible#watch Haikyuu. it really is the perfect sports anime.#shame the fanfic is 99% ship because the sports aspect of it is SUPER sweet#asks#jumpstrike#I'm answering jumpstrike but Tav I hope you see this too#lazuli talks#sports anime

hey hey, do you mind sharing your akiyama headcanons? just saw ur tags talking abt how theyre dark and im very interested!!!! your fem ryuaki fuels me in ways i cannot describe and i havent even played dead souls FHKGJG and your tanimuras have my whole entire heart!!!
Oh wow first of all THANK YOU for the ask!! It's been only couple days since I've discovered I've had them disabled all this time so I'm very happy I noticed it before you found my blog (,:
I've already complained a bit on twt that when I've started to write down ryuaki headcanons, it prompted me to make a 35+ pages google doc with meta on both of them 😅 It pushed me to write more fun drafts tho, so all is well, but it won't fit in this post for sure ahbfght
But ofc, I will share a little about Shun specifically. (TW for implied SA)
Akiyama... I have complicated feelings about him, because on the one hand, he got betrayed by his closest people, lost all the standing in society and lived as a homeless person for a long time, and that's a big trauma to have. But on the other... He's got back up by a miracle, and now he's trying to recreate the miracle for others. He assumes the role of a judge for other people while himself being too young, too flawed, having black and white morals.
(In Y4 I downright despised Akiyama when he refused a loan to an abused woman on the basis that she didn't want to apply for sex work, but in the same substory gave some cringefail guy 4 chances to complete the test just because it was amusing.)
But I've just completed Y5, and it gave me lots of food for thought.
First of all, from what I see, Shun here was written (rewritten?) as a more sympathetic character. For example, now when it's implied that he's gonna make some woman "use her body" for the loan, it means he's sending her to work on the construction site. Well, alright. I'll take the bad taste joke over previous cases.
There's also an important quest when Akiyama meets his former boss, who not only initially fired him on false accusations, which started his downfall, but also married his ex-fiancée. And Akiyama finally admits that at first, he wanted to use his position as a loan shark to be selfish and to get revenge, but got disgusted with himself after seeing some humanity and principles in the former boss.
So, here finally comes self-awareness about his actions. Interesting tidbit.
Another big part of the character building we see now: when he is alone in Osaka, without Hana around, he's a complete mess. His new office is dirty, he barely eats some instant ramen and clearly just uses the place to escape Tokyo and the responsibilities he created himself. If in Y4 we saw him within his element, managing Elise and doing loan business (with a messy table because he's just soooo quirky and lazyyy \s), then in Y5 we get to see a bit of what's inside his head. And it's not pretty.
He's clearly distancing himself - from Hana and his new yakuza friends, because they have their own lives to care about. (Tanimura too mayhaps, but this is a separate friendship that I also like to talk about a lot)
Aaand he escapes to his ugly nook to have his ugly depressive thoughts. Can't let them witness it, can he? They'd lose all the respect for him.
At the same time, he throws himself into helping Haruka with passion, because that's the thing he actually cares about, for the first time in a couple years. (He also provides her with some much-needed parenting about the importance of being selfish, because, being raised by Kiryu, she's entirely too self-sacrificing.)
And suddenly - he's lively and energetic again, he's bouncing off other characters, he risks his life for what he deems right, he's helpful, organizing, charming. He's everywhere.
(But he's also afraid to acknowledge that he's got too close to people again. So he's ready to literally die for them and Haruka's dream, but avoids calling them friends, settling for "acquaintances")
Not much needed to imagine that, after everything settles down, he falls apart again. Because in his head he's never really needed or too important for the people around. They carry on with their life and plans. Such as Eri, Arai, Yasuko. Even Hana got fed up and left at some point, and has been keeping him at an arm's length since. (Good for her, that was unhealthy)
He's not only not that interesting, his trauma is "ugly" (by his self-admission). It's not heroic and it's very mundane. There's no clear villains to blame, like with Majima's torture in Y0.
It's just - waking up is hard. Akiyama can't see the point in much of what he's doing anymore. Money is just paper for him now, they might have bought him the freedom of choice, but somehow it didn't help. Even with all the financial help to struggling people he can't buy healing for himself. Most alive he felt actually was when he lost the money briefly in Y4 - it made him work to get them back again.
Now it gets a bit tricky, hence the TW.
I think that a lot of things about him actually make sense, if while living on the streets, he had it bad enough to the point of selling himself for food. Like, I don't want to make it into torture porn or downplay the traumatic experience of homelessness overall, but something for sure ruined him and his self-perception. That's why he's bouncing between playing a self-righteous entity and hating himself.
Aside from his crippling depression from all this being shunned deep inside and not addressed, there's the attitude about sex work I've mentioned he has in Y4. He is distancing himself from the situation yet again. A little bit of a trick to calm his mind: "If I treat it like every other job, it won't feel as dehumanizing applied to myself". And also: "Well, I was not above doing that! I was not too proud to do it! Why should anyone else be?"
Now, of course he doesn't want to subject his former boss (and, by extension, Eri) to the same hardships. Even though he is, actually, a bit of a cruel person.
So here's Akiyama in Y4-5. Not super pretty and kind of greasy, but nevertheless charming, gallant and crazy smart. Fighting and dancing and singing and networking equally well. VERY annoying, because he considers himself an expert in all things he read about even once (I also hc him eidetic memory, which makes it worse). And with every year getting more secluded and miserable.
That being said, fem ryuaki has slightly different tone even in all-fem AU because of gender expectations. Akiyama's upbringing for example.
I hc his parents seeing him as this very "proper" son, encouraging his risk-taking neurodivergent activity ONLY when it helped to build onto that image. They happily bragged about their son - with prestigious business degree, good banking job and pretty fiancée. But ofc, when it's all came crashing down, they didn't want to hear about him anymore. Nowadays they acknowledge his existance with some disdain, because they care about reputation more then about him or his wealth. And he has some "disgusting jobs, no respectable friends and no wife".
(It's all kinda complicated from both sides, mb I'll get deeper into it in fanfic that I'm writing)
(And forgive me for saying this, but fem Akiyama is more interesting for me to write in this narrative, because she needed to balance fitting "proper little quiet Japanese woman" with her loud banking career, and while she was always openly feminine, she was never proper or quiet "enough". And now she's "not enough" among actual living legends.)
Well, that's all I have to say for now!
I'm always open for further questions and discussions 😊

How about Kaycee for the ask game?
KAYCEE I love her let’s go
Favorite thing about them: I love how blatant it is that Kaycee just says “wouldn’t it be cool if—“ before everything she does. In the base game, all of Leshy’s cards (barring the rare cards) are based upon Canadian wildlife you’d realistically find around the BC area… not Kaycee’s additions. She adds a Central American mud turtle, a European lammergeier, and not one, but TWO extinct animals (the wild bull and dire wolf), not to mention the challenges themselves. She’s very clearly just shoving some of her favorite things into the game to say “look! I think you’ll like this too” and it’s so fun to me.
Least favorite thing about them: I love Kaycee. She’s wonderful. But holy shit does some of the lore in KMod fuck everything up. Inscryption was developed in the 90s but KMod seems to imply it was developed in the 2000s where she would’ve met Luke? Not to MENTION the partial retcon of the Scrybes fighting each other for control for years (granted that can be chalked up to an oversight on Kaycee’s part wherein Leshy’s takeover was just the first takeover she noticed, but still).
Favorite line: Kaycee being pissed that Leshy beheaded her self-insert will never not be funny.
Tumblr media
brOTP: This is such an “I’m sure everyone is going to answer with this” type of answer, but Kaycee and Leshy’s friendship means so much to me. Inscryption really said “here is a person who has dedicated his entire purpose to the existence of someone doomed to never see his work and here is another person who sees why he was doomed to never be seen by human eyes and she indulges anyway out of love for what he has created and out of love for their shared company” and then just subtly put it in the background of the narrative. Leshy just wanted to play his game and Kaycee wholeheartedly wanted to play with him, listening to his suggestions and using her own skills to add things she thought he’d like (in addition to the challenges that were just for her let’s be real). The game really stresses that Leshy—despite, by design, not really caring for anything outside of the game—saw her not just as the challenger he’d hoped for but, above all else, a friend and that means so much.
Having said that, I do dunk on Kaycee a little bit for not destroying a malevolent supernatural force trapped inside a floppy disk because her best friend was also on it but then again I think that would’ve been even worse if she destroyed it and then died anyway. Inscryption isn’t a game where anyone wins but that definitely would’ve been even more of a loss for everyone involved.
OTP: As per usual in this category I don’t really ship Kaycee with anyone.
nOTP: I’m not a fan of Kaycee and Leshy in a romantic sense. Them being friends just means a lot more to me.
Random headcanon: I mentioned with Luke that proximity to the old_data (filtered via Inscryption) sort of messes with the human body after a while and that’s… much more true for Kaycee than it is for Luke. Normally the old_data is a corrupting force that would want to turn whatever’s closest to it into a suitable host should it have to jump ship, but Leshy’s takeover of the game sort of interrupts that process and instead causes any changes to reflect his version of the game instead. It gets to a point where she actually has to wear her glasses to work otherwise she’s certain her coworkers will notice that her eyes have begun to shine in the dark like those of a wild animal.
(Worth noting there’s Zero canon basis for any of this; normally I try to keep my headcanons pretty grounded in canon but I hate the ARG as a whole and also how it explains it instead of keeping it as something undefinable so I’m doing whatever I want with the concept of the OLD_DATA. It’s the haunted cartridge equivalent of an eldritch horror to me. The Scrybes are all sending out fishing lines and hacking off pieces of it to use for their own means, not because it’s corrupted them but because they feel they have to. It is still alive. Hope this helps.)
Unpopular opinion: This isn’t an unpopular opinion in the slightest, I’m just pretty sure I’m the only person who gives Kaycee glasses. Probably because she pretty visibly doesn’t have them in her portrait, but she just seems like she’d be someone who needs glasses and Never Wears Them—she’s nearsighted and she’s a programmer, she doesn’t need to see far away (read: yes she does).
Song I associate with them: I have a lot of Kaycee songs (I have playlists for a lot of these characters admittedly but I’m just bad at picking songs to share from them) but my go-tos are Flight of the Crows by Jhariah (just general energy idk), The Most Peculiar Day of Your Life by The Hoosiers (works for any of the protagonists but I feel it aligns especially well with some of Kaycee’s entries), and Frozen Pines by Lord Huron. As a bonus, I associate Betrayed by Bones by Hellogoodbye with her, but I don’t really have an explanation for that one.
Favorite picture of them: There’s technically only one picture of Kaycee in-game (and I don’t even know if it’s canonically confirmed to be Kaycee… then again, who else could it possibly be). But I’m counting her Deathcard in this too. The head it uses is also called “the wildling” which is so fun

HAHAHAHA NO WORRIES PLS TAKE UR TIME TO ANSWER MY ASKS!!!! hope u are had a good sleep n are taking care of urself 🫶🫶 and AWWW THANK U pleaseeeee i wish i really did actually Write Write 😪 i just have a very active imagination n too many thoughts...
BUTTT i have to admit.. i did come up with a male oc last time.. may have dumped many thoughts about him n aaron... the premise is that oc joined the BAU and somewhere along the line, aaron and him became FWBs 🤭🤭 n they text A LOT which forms the basis of their friendship n closeness.
i think some of these scenarios r SOOO FUNNY EMBARRASSING bc there's so many ways where i picture them getting close calls and ALMOST getting caught. like they're both super intelligent n responsible men but the moment they're insanely horny... their brains fly out the window 😭😭... but i'd say it'll be AGES before i ever publish something concrete bc i need to brush up my Descriptive writing skills first LMFAOOO (bc i'm more of an academic writer which just focuses on getting to the point so my vocabulary is like. Horrible.) but lmk if u ever wna hear any of them bc i'll be more than happy to share HEHEHE .
maybe one day i'd just come off anon n create an account to actually talk Talk to u but I'm Shy 😪👉👈 LMFAOOOOOO SORRY this is SOOOO funny thinking abt how i literally said the most god awful filthiest things abt aaron n im yapping abt being embarrassed

IDK anon is kinda making sense but point is, fedal (tennis) soulmates and no one will ever be over last Friday
Ok long answer disclaimer: if we're talking seriously here I actually believe that it was the very unique circumstances of their relationship that creates this special bond between them, they have also confessed that each other occupies a very strange, one of a kind position in each other's life. I believe they realise how lucky they are because this bond (a rivalry that intense for 20 years) doesn't even happen once in a century let's be honest, and nor to anyone, most of us will never have this kind of unique relationship in our lives.
I personally don't think that they share every single thing with each other or are in constant contact all the time simply because it's just frankly impossible given the nature of the competition (they still have to beat each other on a daily basis), so they're not part of each other's personal lives per se at least so far. Roger and Rafa have their own circles in their homes and they've said so.
But at the same time, despite not seeing or talking to other all that often, it's this incredibly strange situation where I believe nobody knows them better than they know each other, simply because at the end of the day they are THE ONLY TWO people in the world, no one else, not even their significant others, best friends, or team, that truly, truly knows what it's like to ACTUALLY BE THEM, as they are the only partners in the best and worst moments of their lives, the two that were out there on the court.
I believe tennis is a strangely psychic sport, once the match begins, no matter how much coaching or support you might get before, or how many millions of people are watching, out there on the court, at a pindrop of the match, it's just the two of you. And for 3 or 4 hours, you unravel each other not only physically, but most importantly mentally. Trying to read (and to that, to understand) one another more than anyone else ever could, predicting each other's next moves, figuring out each other's gameplans, refusing their attempts to get into your heads but at the same time attempting to break into theirs, all the while fighting for the most important thing in your life. It's almost like a very intimate way of having a mental conversation with each other without actually saying anything. And once you've played someone as many times as Roger and Rafa played each other, I believe there is a sense of raw honesty and understanding that could never be hidden or scripted. Both of them said that they could talk about literally ANYTHING to each other without any embarassment or doubt over each other's total confidence. I don't think this is in any way achievable with just anyone, we don't even have that even with our closest friends. Thing is, their close circles might have the privilege to be with them and hear them share their pain or greatest happiness, but they COULD NEVER LIVE THEM. That's why their bond i think transcends even friendship, into something much more deeper, I don't think there'll ever be a proper way of referencing it that does it justice.
In that sense if there is any definition of soulmates, I fully agree with you that they are the closest thing to it. They are like two sides of the same coin, never really facing the same way but one nonetheless. This is why what Rafa said about a part of him leaving when Roger leaves actually makes so much sense and is probably the closest glimpse we can ever get of what it feels like to have a bond this INTENSE. Imagine winning the one thing you've always dreamed of, Wimbledon for instance, after fighting for it like there's no tomorrow for the past 2 weeks and in your indescribable happiness, across the net is another version of you, of what you could've been, of someone who fought equally crazy and dreamt equally hard, whom you know deserves the trophy as much as you.
There is a fantastic Oscar Wilde quote that I think helps describe it:
He and I are closer than friends. We are enemies linked together. The same sin binds us.

New Class 1-A Pronouns and Honorifics
It's been a while since I've really talked about my MHA OCs so in this post I'll explain one detail about them that doesn't really come across when writing about them in English: how they speak to each other. I'm specifically referring to honorifics and pronouns. And when I say pronouns, I do not mean things like "she/he/they." I mean the word "I" since Japanese has multiple words used to refer to the self.
I've organized the information into a neat little spreadsheet which I will now share!
Tumblr media
Further details about the spreadsheet below the cut!
The top row of names indicates the addresser/speaker. The order (kind of) goes from most prominent OC to least prominent. Tansai is actually a prominent OC but he's at the end for reasons that I will explain later.
The left-most column of names indicates who is being referred to/spoken to. The order of these names go by the gojūon which can be understood as "Japanese alphabetical order."
Now the colors of the boxes indicate the kind of relationship the addresser has with the addressee. -Pink = crush -Blue = friend -Green = relative -Yellow = classmate -Orange = rival -Red = enemy
Now you know why Tansai was placed at the end: he sees his whole classmates as enemies because he's not actually on their side. Also, the reason why Tansai is in the addresser row but Okimoto is in the addressee column is because "Okimoto Futashi" is the false name of Tansai so his classmate know him and refer to him as such.
.....
Now I'll go through each character (by order of addresser).
Haruka -In the beginning, she strictly uses "watashi" as it's the most polite version of "I" (outside of "watakushi" but then Haruka would come off way too stiff). Later uses "atashi" as she comes out of her shell. -Refers to everyone formally using "-san." She's overly polite due to her anxiety and using more familiar honorifics or forgoing them entirely would be "too rude" of her. -Her friends get the special honor of being called by their given names once the friendships develop more. -Not depicted in the chart but with Eijirou and Izuku's other classmates, she always calls them "senpai" even when using their Hero names (for example, she calls Izuku "Deku-senpai" when on Hero duty).
Ryouko -Refers to herself using "boku" primarily which is a masculine version of "I" but it's not entirely uncommon for "tomboys" to use it too. Also uses "atashi" if she wants to be seen as more feminine. -Tends to forgo honorifics with people she knows casually. -Her friends are known by a shortened version of their family names with "-kun" added to the end. -Starts calling Okami by his given name when they start dating.
Kyouhei -Uses "boku" as it's the softer of the two most common masculine "I"s in Japanese. -Calls most people "-kun" to be somewhat polite but still casual. As a celebrity, he does have an image to upkeep and thus he feels he can't be too casual (meaning dropping honorifics entirely). If asked, he will refer to someone with a different honorific. -Terumi is an exception. "Hikarin" is a nickname based on her Quirk; Terumi creates light with her Quirk, "hikari" is the Japanese word for "light," and the "n" at the end comes from the practice of adding it to names in order to make it sound cuter. "Teru-chan" is simply Terumi's name shortened with the "-chan" ender because that's what Japanese friends do. And Kyouhei starts calling Terumi by her given name when they start dating.
Terumi -Goes by "atashi." Feminine but not formal like "watashi." -In general, adds "-kun" to boys' names and "-chan" to girls' names. She shortens her friends' names and adds the appropriate honorifics. -Kyouhei's first nickname, Koe-hei, plays on his Quirk being based on his voice. "Koe" is the word for "voice." And then "koe" gets mashed with the latter half of Kyouhei's name. Kyou-chan is just his name shortened with "-chan" at the end. And his given name starts being used when Terumi and Kyouhei begin dating. -Her rivalry with Umeji is on the basis of both of them having pretty explosive Quirk with only somewhat good control. They're competing to see who has better control sooner.
Okami -"Ore" is the rougher of the masculine "I"s in Japanese, which is what Okami uses. -Goes without honorifics for everyone, even his friends. -Calls Ryouko by her given name when they start to date. -With Yuuki, he calls her by her given name with "-chan" added on her insistence. Also, he calls her both "nee-san" and "imouto" because neither of them actually know who was born first.
Fukue -Goes by "watashi," nice and polite. -Calls mostly everyone "-kun" to be polite but still casual. Changes it for someone who asks. -Sees Naoyo as a rival due to both of them being recommend students so calls her "-san" to show that formal respect.
Shouma -Refers to herself as "jibun" which is somewhat masculine but is still used by women too (Kyouka Jirou for example). -Largely forgoes honorifics except with friends, calling them by their given names with "-kun" added so it doesn't sound too familiar. -Maki is considered her rival as they both have Quirks that make them quite fast.
Jun -As a gentle and mild-mannered guy, he actually goes by "watashi" since it's gender neutral. -Adds "-kun" to most people's surnames, casual but not too much so. -Calls his friends by their given names (or a part of it) with "-kun" still added.
Umeji -Umeji is loud and bold but he's not really trying to come off as tough so he opts for "boku" over "ore." -Like Shouma, he only really uses honorifics with his friends, calling them by their given name (in whole or part).
Yuuki -Uses "atashi" for herself. Formerly used "atai" as taught to her by her mother because "atai" carries a "bad girl" connotation. -Calls his friends by their given names with "-chan" added to be familiar and cutesy. -With Okami, uses his given name with "-chan." She insists on it so they both seem more approachable. Calls him both "nii-san" and "otouto" because they don't know who the older twin is.
Gentsuno -Does try to come off tough so he uses "ore." -Usually just forgoes honorifics unless asked otherwise. -Adds "-chan" to the surnames of the friends, mainly because his closest friends are girls who let him call them as such.
Naoyo -Goes by "atashi." -Doesn't use honorifics with most people. -Chizuru is one exception because she wants to be called something different. -Calls Fukue "-san" to show respect to her rival.
Chizuru -For as casual as she can be, she uses "watashi." -Asks that everyone else call her "Chi-chan." -Refers to everyone by their given names, adding "-kun" to the boys' names and "-chan" to the girls' names. -Shortens Naoyo's name as friends and later girlfriends.
Ayuto -Despite not being a tough guy and actually being pretty ordinary, he uses the stronger, masculine "I" of "ore." -Doesn't use honorifics unless asked.
Daiki -He uses "ora" which is similar to "ore" but shows his rural background. -Calls most people by their surnames. -Calls his friends (which is just Ayuto) by their given name.
Tansai -Calls himself "jibun" since it's a gentler male "I" and comes off as detached. -Doesn't refer to anyone by surname or given names. He has insulting nicknames for them instead. -Ryouko's nickname for "wooden sword" actually has two words in Japanese, "bokuto" and "bokken." -Haruka doesn't actually get a nickname and is only called versions of "you" or "she" that are considered rude.

10, 17, 28, and 29 from that oc ask game for Ahuska? 👀
Tumblr media
10. Who’s the first person your oc goes to to talk about something that made them happy? Sad? Angry?
Happy is easy, she'll probably just turn to whoever's closest! Though she won't hesitate to seek out any number of specific people if the happiness is related to something she's spoken about with them before. Sad is a whole different story; she tends to bottle that up (whether or not she does a good job of actually disguising it is a whole different story) and attempt to work through it on her own rather than turn to anyone- it'd take a conscientious effort on the par to of somebody else to pry it out of her. Angry, meanwhile, will either be thrown headfirst at the object of her anger, or clamped down on, stewed on hard, and disclosed only to the handful of beings she trusts the most - Crow, Blakk, Zim, Fynta, and under the right circumstances, Nines. She'd probably be wise to take these feelings to Ulfran, but... this is something she's not especially wise about at any point in any story.
17. If your oc had a social media page, what would it be like? What would they post about? How much personal information would they feel comfortable posting on it? How often would they update it?
Ahuska would be intensely paranoid about sharing too much of herself on any sort of social media and use fake identities and pseudonyms pretty much anywhere, and probably do more lurking than actual posting. If she managed to ever exist in a world where she's not on the run or wanted in some way or another, she'd probably enjoy something like Instagram, and use it to create a very carefully curated collection of images from her travels and her own artwork, more as something to look back on to help her feel proud and happy with herself rather than actually trying to make a name and gain a following.
28. What’s your favorite thing about this oc?
Oh man, I just... love what an important part of my life she's become. She's given me such utterly amazing storytelling and creative inspiration, she helped me get out of a very bad place and made me some phenomenal and very real friendships, and she managed to do it all while being cute as hell but also sometimes a raging wolf monster. She's everything I could want in a character and I love her.
29. What’s your least favorite thing about this oc?
Every. Damn. Time. That I see a super cool artist open up commissions and they have the 'no furries' caveat and I have to stop and decide if I have the energy to write and ask if Bothans count for that particular artist, if they're willing to give it a go, if I trust them to actually do a good job with her when they have very little nonhuman examples to go with- man, sometimes I just wish the character that decided to mean the world to me had just been some sort of humanoid instead. Hah.
(Except I don't, really, I wouldn't trade her in for the world. It just makes me sad on a very regular basis.)

I am enabling to share your Rubius Dream parallels because I'm really curious
Tumblr media
Oh my god, I just finished Rubius Documental and when he was talking about yt and the fame and everything I could only think about Dream and how he's going down a very similar path.
Dream is a legend, right? An innovator, if you will, in the mcyt area. He is the first one in a lot of ways, he has his friends that are also CCs of course, but he is the shinning star.
Rubius is the literal base of hispanic yt/twitch. He (and others ofc but he is the #1 and we all know it) is the one who paved the way for what the community is today. He has his bests friends that are also CCs, but he is the shinning star.
Both Dream and Rubius started their YouTube career when they were young, they blew up their early twenties and no matter if you consume their content, if you are on the Yt/Twitch sphere you know who they are. They are YouTube's Golden Boys
Both of them met their bests friends on the internet in a random server or forum, none of them met their best friends until years later they first spoke, when they started creating content. Both of them planned on living with them during a few years. Both of them were/are shipped with their bests friends because they have such a strong bond we don't even need to see them together to know they love each other. I saw Rubius and Mangel in the documental (it's been a while since I saw them together on camera) and they are so comfortable with each other, lying on top of each other and hugging and the looks and oh, they are best friends! I will die when we get to see Dream with George bc I'm still amazed at Rubius and Mangel friendship and its been ten years.
Both of them became ridiculously famous at a young age, with huge fanbases that are accused of being a toxic fandom, when in reality thats just a small portion of it and it's actually filled with amazing people—but the general public thinks is bad to watch them. Since they are the firsts, they are also the ones under pressure, people expect SO MUCH from them that they do not expect from other CCs, no matter if they're bigger or smaller. They are both dragged through the mud for the simplest or stupidest things on a daily basis, but theyre still kind hearted and willing to learn.
None of them realize the magnitude of their fanbase yet, I'm 100% sure that when Dream face reveals and starts going outside is going to be just like with Rubius. He knows he has 40mill subscribers on yt, he knows he has 12mill on twitch, but he still feels like we are like ten people who listen to him talk and play video games (same vibes as drodcasts or chill dream streams), and he gets recognized a thousand times on a daily basis, people ask him for pics even when they don't watch his content cause they know he is famous <- I'm so sure that that's what will happen with Dream.
Both of them put so much dedication in their YouTube content, being little perfectionists, making sure to be creative and they are so exigent with themselves. But in twitch they get to be more relaxed and chill and they talk to chat about their silly little interests and they make me so parasocial.
This is not a parallelism (yet) but the Club Media Fest era was absolutely insane for Rubius, it was the literal life of a Rockstar and I hope Dream gets to feel the same when he starts going to conventions. The people, the noise, the shows, the meet&greets, everything was absolutely crazy when Rubius went through that and I really really want to see Dream experiencing that for the first time.
Also "bring your friends with you" is so them, they always make sure to include all their friends and talk about how much they appreciate them is so sweet.
Both of them are also mama's boys and that's endearing <- in the sense that they're really close to them and their mothers are huge pillars for them.
They were both super blonds as kids and now. Well. They are not (sorry Dreamie!)
Of course there's a lot of differences, specially if you take into account that there's a ten year age gap, but whenever I look at Dream and the dream team it's like watching the story repeating itself and is thrilling to see how this one will go.

*rings bell* s/i intro s/i intro
their name is Bry "Rosie" Eriksen, any pronouns w/ a leaning towards neutral pronouns! i went for a vintage comic book sort of theme for the art style, given their interests lol
(this ship is entirely platonic, pls dont tag it w/ anything romantic lol. yes i havent seen all of s.tranger t.hings s4, yes i still made an s/i for this friendship. not to be dramatic but i would die for e.ddie m.unson.)
(transcript of images under the cut!)
Bry Eriksen's life is mostly quiet....
Growing up the youngest child of a carnie father, plagued by persistent, recurring nightmares and anxiety, life never seemed to hold much in store for them.
Their routine life was turned upside down when their father sold his shares of the family carnival to buy a storefront in sleepy Hawkins, Indiana, hoping to turn it into a record store. Moving around every three months at the least, never setting down roots anywhere, Bry "Rosie" quickly settled into the change and began working at their father's record store. Life seemed simple again for a while, and they poured their energy into creating the horror comic books and zines that they based on their nightmares, but it would all change when they met a boy from their distant childhood, proving that...
Nightmares can become reality!
Before moving back to Hawkins, Eddie and Rosie had actually met once before: when Rosie's father's carnival had come to town. Rosie had wanted to go in the haunted house, but was afraid of going in alone. Other children had made fun of them for being afraid of props, so they sat outside instead. When Eddie happened across them, he had agreed to go into the house with them, and the two became fast friends for the day. However, he would only see them one more time after that day, in the supermarket getting ready to leave town, until their father moved back to Hawkins.
Upon meeting and hearing his name, Rosie had actually recognized Eddie right away; they pretended not to recall him, though, since they were self-conscious and worried that he would find it creepy of them to remember someone they met so briefly so long ago.
Rosie works at their father's store on Main Street, Eriksen Records, usually found behind the counter reading horror novels or comic books, but sometimes hiding in the back storeroom sorting the boxes of albums. Rosie has an odd habit of becoming extremely fascinated with that which frightens or disgusts them, likely from living with severe anxiety and recurring nightmares since early childhood. Their reaction to any frightening stimuli is usually to immediately attempt to study it, attempting to understand it. They cope with their anxiety and nightmares by writing their own horror comic books which are usually based on their own night terrors; they are trying to get these published, but are usually rejected on the basis that the content is too gruesome. Their favorite band is Oingo Boingo, who they heard of living in SoCal, and usually play in the shop when their father isn't around.

I watched Belle the other night and I have such weird feelings about it.
There's a lot of interesting ideas to explore in the film, like creative expression and how you are perceived when you put it out there. What power dynamics do in online spaces (I thought the concept of the corrupt moderator lead was neat, but of course there needed to be a 'Gaston' character, and that was a clever way of putting one in the story), and how perceived power just through attention and popularity can affect a person, whether it's positive OR negative attention. And of course, the internet as escapism, of creating a persona to express what you cannot in your regular life, and how real and affecting your friendships with others can be, and how special those connections are.
I am all about those points, and I'm sure that tons of people can find something to relate to from their own lives and experiences online.
But
The way characters moved through the narrative to navigate to those points felt awkwardly alien and clunky. The execution of the plot was so fucking weird. I get what the film was trying to do and it could have pulled it off better. The first kinda hour and 15 minutes into the film, I had said put loud, "this isn't bad, per say, but it feels like the movie equivalent of eating plain, untoasted white bread right out of the bag." The plots between Suzu's real life and what was going on in U felt so disconnected from one another, and maybe that was intentional? But even when those plot points converge and things come to a head at the film's climax, I found myself so frustrated at the characters (why in a room full of her friends and FIVE GROWN ADULTS would they encourage Suzu to go ALONE??? What does Suzu showing up actually accomplish to help the situation? I get the whole thing of her overcoming her grief by coming to understand her mother and her choice to act, and the tension of that scene was very well done, but what are we expected to believe comes AFTER???)
And like. I'm not a dummy about picking up on the grief that Suzu and the Beast share with each other. It's very obvious with the broken portrait, the spilled roses, and the glimpse into Beast's real life. But I wish they would have spent more time explicitly extrapolating on that point and having them bond in some way more than "this person continued to try to reach out to me even when I pushed them away". I wish they had room for some realer feeling semblance of friendship to bloom between them that wasn't just the Ballroom scene being shoved in there just to go "hey look it's Beauty and the Beast!!!". I know allegorically that the dance was them opening up to one another, but it still felt like these characters had almost no real basis for a friendship that strong. Suzu is obsessed from the start with asking the Beast "who are you" instead of "why do you fight like that", and I think that's the more important question to know the answer to. And also the one more approachable!!! Like fuck. Imagine meeting a stranger online and you need to find out who they really are behind the screen before you know literally anything else about them. And she kinds flops between having a desire to find out and wanting to protect his privacy, and I guess this is a way of her wanting to connect to this person, but also empathizing and knowing how important HER privacy is to her. But it's just ??????
Anyway, uh.
It was a pretty film. Very cool to look at, with interesting ideas, but presented with a clunky way of trying to explore them. Overall execution left me feeling like I didn't need to watch this film a second time. But in U, Moderators will doxx you in open forum if you fuck up enough, and that's a hilarious concept to me.

looking for more rp partners on discord!! would absolutely love another small town mumu (multimuse) or two, extra info about me & what i'm looking for under the cut!
hiya, thanks for clickin!! my name is mo! i'm 28, she/her, and i'm in the PST timezone! i'm exclusively looking for rp partners who are at least 21+ please (but preferably closer to my age)! i write on discord only in a private rp server (with tupperbox!) i'll make for us!! i looove organization and will make us some character & ship categories, as well as a town worldbuilding section, i'll also keep track of things like the in-game calendar and timelines in reference to our threads!! once i get invested in an rp, i'm IN THERE in there
i write all genders, but i only write f/f, m/f, and nb ships! i'm looking for writing partners who are similar in enjoying and wanting to write all genders (and who have equal muse for all their characters regardless of gender) as i'm interested in exploring multiple ships and characters! i am also looking for a partner who likes to write a wide variety of ages, as I enjoy writing characters anywhere between the ages of 20s-50s! i prefer using & being opposite by faceclaims with resources from films & tv (i'm not interested in opposites such as sabrina carpenter, harry styles, madison beer, and the like)
i'd love an rp partner who loves to worldbuild, plot, write headcanons (or do little rp memes), share inspo stuff, and chat ooc! pinterest boards and playlists are a bonus! i really enjoy building a friendship with my rp partners as well as a fun, collaborative writing experience! i would absolutely LOVE to create a small town with a new partner and come up with its location, the names of shops and other places, some NPC names, maybe plot up some town lore & history, ect, and fill it up with a bunch of diverse characters and relationships we can continue to add on to over time! i'm interested in exploring relationships of all kinds, including romantic, platonic, familial, antagonistic, ect! for example, new budding romances, exes on good and/or bad terms, toxic exes or relationships, old high school sweethearts, best friends, friends who fell out or grew apart, close siblings, sibling rivals, and just other fun and/or complicated connections ahoy! i just love multi-muses and being able to write a living, breathing town filled with characters who can all freely interact with each other!
because i'd love a slowly expanding cast of characters (maybe start with 2-3 characters each and go from there?), it's very preferable to me that replies stay on the shorter side, as in one paragraph or less (unless the thread is really plot significant or intense/emotional! ik those can get away for us length-wise LOL) this way we can prioritize quality over quantity, and actually get to see relationships & plots evolve over time in many threads rather than spend weeks or months on a single thread and never actually get to all the good stuff we've plotted. in my experience, it's way more fun to have an evolving mumu where replies take maybe 5-10 minutes to write, and it also allows us to keep the progress of the rp going at a continual pace, which keeps it fun, exciting, and fresh!
i am happy to write smut when the relationship/thread calls for it, and i also enjoy nsfw headcanons alongside sfw ones! i'd say i prefer a 80/20 story to smut ratio. i am also comfortable with most dark or complicated themes, but this will probably be case by case basis. i'm looking for a soap opera inspired town mumu, basically! a good variety mix of drama & intrigue, angst & fluff, smut & sweetness, tragedy & other dark themes, ect, but nothing too intensely or consistently dark or taboo
i'd consider myself to be a pretty active rp partner for the most part (i'm in college plus i work sporadic hours as a private tutor) and when replies are on the shorter side, i can usually do at least one set of replies (if we are writing multiple threads at a time, i personally enjoy writing 2 at a time!) a day, but likely more, and i'm down for rapidfire sessions as well when i can! i prefer my partner to have similar activity (it's difficult for me to stay invested in an rp when it mostly just consists of hcs & shared inspo, and when there is very little actual writing happening), though i don't at ALL want my partner to feel pressured to write replies!! it's just a hobby, not a jobby! things happen & life gets busy! but i really appreciate communication and transparency with rp friends! just lmk what's up and i'll do the same for you! and if you can't do replies for some reason, i'm always happy to just chat ooc or do some inspo chatting or plotting!!
this got so long, if you read all of it ily! if you have any questions or are interested in all this shit by me, please send me an IM!! or if you like or comment on this ad, i'll reach out to you! ty!! if i don't reach out it's because i found something in your guidelines that i don't think is compatible with this plot ad (usually has to do with desired reply length being multi-paragraph/novella, listed low activity, if the blog is heavily smut-centric, or rules state exclusively wanting to write one gender or kind of ship) but if your guidelines are out of date pls feel free to reach out anyway!!

I even have a circle of very close associates — Alejandro Martinez, Deolu Ogunmefun, Sarah Rogers, Arnav Banerji, Heather Lethcoe, Leann Bowen and Sarah Braunisch. They have at all times been there for me once I wanted their help; after I was unhappy, feeling alone or planning petty larceny. lifestyle blog has sacrificed a lot to help me, and her indefatigable love and sacrifices assist gasoline my dedication, and I am endlessly indebted to her. For adults who don't work in conventional settings—those who work remotely, who work in very small businesses, who're retired, or who've devoted themselves to elevating children—making pals can feel daunting. So isolated folks could really feel extra anxious about talking to others.

Tumblr media
I was raised by a single mother and spent lots of time with my grandparents and great-grandparents. As a child, I did learn some children's books, but extra often I read books meant for an older readership. Now as an adult, I am exploring books that I did not learn as a baby. I believe when filming spontaneously it will actually show what the couple really felt like on the day, it will show to rawness of the love between the couple in front of the lens. Before I started wedding films, I had worked for 15 years in broadcasting where I use to film/edit most of the tv adverts for local TV stations. 5 Laws That'll Help the Find Coworking Space In Bangalore
For entrepreneurs, freelancers, and those who work from home, coworking spaces are a blessing and a welcome change of pace. However, one rotten apple may rapidly ruin the bunch. What it actually implies in this situation is that you must abide by both written laws that are plainly stated and unspoken rules that are referred to as etiquette.
The lesson we took away from our own experience managing these coworking spaces in Bangalore is that your community of coworkers quickly picks up the rules and builds an etiquette that everyone soon starts adhering to. The regulations must be known before entering a new coworking space, and you must ascertain the unwritten protocol that everyone adheres to as soon as possible.
Here are the top 5 coworking Bangalore Laws that, in our opinion, will benefit coworkers and coworking spaces around the globe.
Avoid borrowing.
The majority of coworking spaces offer access to supplies like chargers, headphones, and other items you might require. So don't be reluctant to use the resources the facility offers even if you forget to bring some of these. But never bring up this topic with your coworkers. Asking the facilities staff versus borrowing from your coworkers are two different things.
The personnel will no doubt be pleased to assist you in any way they can. Find what you need by looking around you; there can be a public charger or headphones on your desk or close to your table. Ask the staff if you're still having trouble in find coworking space in Bangalore.
Network to Build Relationships
Coworking spaces, in my opinion, are excellent for networking. You may always strike up a discussion with others around you, but try to put more effort into developing friendships than rushing to close a deal and gain a new client. By trading your services for what you need from a fellow employee, bartering is the quickest and easiest approach to establishing yourself as a recognized entity. The community of coworkers may watch your product or services in action and generate results right in front of them, which not only provides you with free services but also highlights your competence to them.
For instance, if you are a graphic designer, you might make a poster and give it to the coworking space or create a logo or business cards for another employee. Everyone in the neighborhood will be able to view it every day, which will generate a lot of buzzes. You'll become well-known as the accomplished poster artist for your coworking space or to find coworking space in Bangalore. Everyone there will come to you first if they require similar services.
Avoid Time Bandits
When you use the amenities and services provided by the coworking space within the time allotted to you depending on what you paid for, you will get the most out of it. Once your allotted amount of time has passed, leave your desk or conference room. Set an alarm to remind you of the time you need to go or extend your stay by using scheduling tools, at the very least your watch.
Be sympathetic to the diligent management and workers at the coworking space who must clean up after you leave the area.
Start Meetings On Time
One of the constant challenges a coworking space faces is meetings and conferences running longer than intended. You can’t ask people to vacate a meeting room while their meeting is in progress. On the other hand, you have another group who has booked a meeting room, and they must be provided their room on time. We can’t fault you if your meeting exceeds the expected time, but you can make it easier for us by starting the meeting on time. Most meetings that run late are those that don’t start on time.
Take Care of the Space
You can use shared facilities in coworking spaces with other people. You neither own nor rent the area, its amenities, or its furniture on a month-to-month basis. However, you are still required to treat all of it with the same respect and love that you would extend to property that you are the owner of or have paid for.
Make good use of the cafeteria. The use of printers, scanners, and other devices must be moderate. Keep your own work area organized. Observe the management's rules for disposing of rubbish. The most crucial thing to remember is to leave the area in the same condition for subsequent use as it was for you.
AT Last.
Clayworks top laws to find coworking space in Bangalore are listed above and they provide the best amenities in Bangalore as recommended by others who are already working from clay works.
