Danny, after going on a walk through the Ghost Zone, comes across a very friendly couple who quasi-adopt him.
They're super cool, too!
They used to be a part of a traveling circus, and they know how to do all sorts of neat tricks and flips and they teach him how to do them too!
Honestly, with their help his flying becomes next level; they forced him to obey gravity long enough to learn how to ignore it without using his abilities, and as such he gets a greater understanding of how to maneuver through it.
So when his Freshman class goes to Gotham on a field trip (scare tactic to prevent them from becoming drop outs because "oh if you drop out you'll resort to being a thug and you'll be trapped in this cursed city foreverrrrrr ooooooooo~") Danny decides to show off to Sam and Tucker in a small park.
He does a quadruple flip off of a wall he ran up.
Barbara stares in disbelief through her cameras.
That.
That shouldn't be possible?
She calls Dick to ask if he had any siblings or cousins he wasn't aware of.

Prompt 112
Once again, you know who is underutilized in DCxDP crossovers? Battinson. Skrunkly shivering boi. Who we should definitely give children to care for.
Did you know that Jason canonically had a brother named Danny? Well you do now, and it should also be used more.
We all want to give Battinson a robin, so why not give him four for the price of two. He of course gets Dick from the circus- he’s never going to go into public again, this was the first time he’d gone to do something out of his comfort zone for a while and look how that turned out.
And on one of the nights that Dick has to stay home (Alfred insists he must finish his homework if he wants to go out on patrol) Bruce returns to the batmobile to find not one child, but two. Is Danny reincarnated? Just appeared one day? Who knows, but he’s here now and going to protect his little brother.
Bruce might have tears in his eyes when they both hit him in the kneecaps and bolt because even with the armor it still hurts. How he manages to grab both kids he’s not too sure, but he ends up getting them food after they put the tires back. He also doesn’t understand how he’s convinced them into the car but they’ve both conked out and maybe he’s panicking and needs Alfred-
D-Dick why is there another child here? He’s the neighbor, cool cool. W-what do you mean he’s home alone, he’s like, 4?? What do you mean he’s been alone for a week now???
…
Alfreeeeed-

Stephanie: Hey Big Bird. Not too late, am I?
Dick: Steph?? *struggles to contain laughter* Babs must've stitched you up.
Stephanie: Wat?
Dick: The theme's super-villains!
Stephanie: ...Ohhhh, I'm not dressed up as The Spoiler! I'm Mrs. Baker.
Dick: Huh?
Stephanie: Mrs. Baker! You know, from back when you and Bats met Scooby Doo.
Dick: 😶😳
Stephanie (doing Dick's voice): Holy selective memory, Batman!

Bruce Wayne, drunk and full on Brucie mood in the middle of a gala: You know, that accent doesn’t really fit in around here. It’s cute. Where are you from?
Clark, internally debating every life choice that led him to this moment: I’m from Smallville. Kansas.
Bruce, leaning closer to Clark with a flirty smile: Oh you’re cute and funny. You know, I like that in a man.
Clark, very confused but trying to just go along with it: Thank you??
Bruce: I mean, everyone knows that Kansas isn’t real but I do always enjoy a good laugh.
Clark: What.
Bruce: What? Everyone knows that Kansas was made up for Wizard of Oz.
Clark, unsure if Bruce is fucking with him or if he’s just really deep into this dumb act: Bruce, Kansas is a real place. It’s one of the 50 states that make up America.
Bruce, tilting his head a little confused: There’s 50 states? Since when?

I feel like Damian is being brought into the live action DC universe way too soon
I wish that they would've just waited a little longer to bring him in, just like how the MCU did with Tom Holland's Spider-man, cause Iron man 1 was the very first MCU movie that was released in 2008 but they waited till 2017 to introduce us to the young web head in their movies universe
They should've just introduced kid!Dick, kid!Jason, and kid!Tim as young Robins first for the first few movies, and let them team up with Batman first, cause then it would've given us and new audiences a chance to grow with them and care about them in that universe first and it would also let us get to know about their stories in that world
We also would have gotten the chance to see in live action how different their team up dynamics as Robin were with Batman when they were younger and were fighting crime together and also would have given us wholesome scenes to see when they're bonding with Bruce as Father and son, not that I'm saying that we can't have wholesome Father and Son moments and stuff like that with Bruce and Damian, I just feel like we should be growing with Dick and the rest of the Batkids as young Robins first so that we can grow with their characters first as they become more of their own characters outside of the Robin persona (like later becoming Nightwing and Red hood as adults in future movies as their stories keep moving forward for example) before letting us actually meet Damian on the big screen so that we can already know about them and their history and already care about them as characters when they're already adults in these future live action movies
Idk, I just would have liked to have seen an evolution of the other Batkids when they were growing up with Bruce as young Robins first before introducing Damian and his story to us, because this is just something that feels too soon for him in my opinion!!
But for now, I can just only hope that they don't mess up my boy terribly in this new upcoming movie and just make him some evil child or whatever, cause I am very scared that they might do that to him and many other things!!😭😭😭😭

Why Wally isn't allowed in Gotham
Wally: I get that I don't have siblings of my own but why do I have to take care of yours?
Dick: Bruce went away... Again, please just watch jaybird while me and Alfred try to find B.
Wally: fine, good luck on that. He bites me though and I'm chunking him into the sun.
Dick: Jason is too sweet for that, he'll destroy you with his insults.
Wally: ah something I'm immune too.
Dick: ... Well then thanks again Wally, see you soon. Bye Jay I'll be back with dad
Wally: take care bud.
Jason: bye Dick!
Dick leaves.
Wally: so what do you want to do?
Jason: got any books?
Wally: yeah, I do.
Jason: awesome!
A month later, Dick dragging Bruce back by the ear too
Dick, through the window: Wally I'm here for Jay -
Wally: no.
Dick: wha-
Wally: he's my little buddy and like he told me everything... I might not be welcomed in Arkham or Gotham.
Dick: you didn't...
Wally: I did.
Dick: Wally.
Wally: you gave me a child with parents issues, have you not met me? But be lucky I only broke his femur.
Dick: Wally!? His femur!?
Wally: yeah, he's femur. Well technically both of them so he's not walking anytime soon.
Dick: oh my god.

one thought before i disappear again but i really fail to understand damian fans' logic or interaction with canon on any level like your entire engagement with him as a character relies on a bastardization of every person around him. i don't see what worth there is in comparing how dick and bruce are comparatively written as parental figures in damian's life when your primary basis for analysis is canon from a writer who believes (1) dick shouldn't be in a relationship with kory bc he's happy-go-lucky and hates drama; and (2) bruce's life as a hero naturally culminates in fascism. neither of these are good faith takes on the characters involved so how can you place any value in how either of them are portrayed to interact with damian by way of that. and obv this doesn't even get into the plethora of talia issues which i have essayed about to the point of exhaustion. like idk i get that i can't make people hate a character obv lol and for many damian fans that attachment is there bc they read about him when they were young but i still don't really understand what there is about damian to be invested in once you're an adult who realizes he is holistically built on character assassination and racist stereotypes that he is inseparable from. like you can't really analyze his interactions with anyone without the context for those interactions being shoddy writing of someone else and i know that can happen in comics a lot but it happening in isolation is different from it forming the entire basis for a character
