He did his best not to fidget in place, seated on the armchair he'd planned on using as a bed for the night. It would be hell on his back, healing suit or not, but the thought of sharing a bed with Manny hadn't even occurred to him until it was offered.

Marc hesitated. It wasn't that he worried the other man would try something, if he accepted his offer. He already knew he wasn't Jake (and hadn't that been a fun conversation to listen in on) and Marc was pretty sure he'd figured out that he wasn't interested. No, he wasn't worried about that.

Mostly, the issue was the nostalgia the concept brought with it.

It'd been a long time since he'd shared a bed with another guy. Years and years. Not since he'd been a little kid. Back when he would still had friends over for sleepovers. Back when Randall was still alive and woke him up because he'd had a bad dream. He'd had no problem curling up with his little brother, back then. Sharing a bed was just something they'd done, back then.

He cleared his throat, blinked away bittersweet memories. Jake might not be hanging around, but he could still hear his voice in his head telling him to grow up and grow a pair.

i wanted to bring this up because i know i make memes and jokes about the shadowtale characters and such.

Shaster (Gaster) is a genuinely horrible person. he's manipulative, mentally, physically, and emotionally abusive and manipulative. he's an egotistical narcissist who views other living and non living things and creatures as objects to be toyed with and experimented on.

Shadow has never been in a great state of mind. he's been pessimistic and nihilistic, and has reached the point of truly believing nothing matter before. part of the reason he's doing good now is both because he has friends he know cares and because he was fucking tired of being so sad, and moping all the time. he hated feeling down and like nothing all the time. the numbness almost felt worse then when he was actually crying and it was much more overbearing. he got tired of it. he forced himself out there. and he's actually doing better because of it.

Ash (Papyrus) tries his best to make people happy as much as drains him. he just wants to keep hope alive and keep people smiling. Papyrus is arguably at one of his lowest points currently. He feels hatred for his brother, uncertainty for his father, and is drained beyond belief. The only person he feels like he can truly vent to and just collect himself about is Mettaton. He hates Shadow for abandoning everybody, he has existential dread due to the existance of the multiverse, and doesnt understand why Gaster is making him keep it a secret, as well as the augmentations related to the void.

Raspberry (Mettaton) Is trying his hardest along with Papyrus to keep moral high, and people happy. he knows how much people really rely on him and need him to be at tip top best. its draining, but he knows it has to be this way. Him and Papyrus are very close and he thinks Papyrus is his closest friend, and is concerned for his sudden change in appearence, attitude, and he can just tell theres something building up thats going to boil over at some point.

Flowey is constently afraid. he's afraid of the infected and uninfected alike. he doesnt know where chara is and he doesnt remember chara being the one who killed him initially. the only time he gains some semblance of comfort is when frisk falls, and when he eventaually finds chara again.

Chara lives with the guilt of being the one who killed Asriel. she hates herself for it but knows it had to be done or else she would have died. she tries over and over to convince herself it was okay but she cant help but hate herself for it. the fact she ran away weighs heavily on her mind because she knows that to the dreemurr family they lost two children in one night. chara was eventaully found and kidnapped by gaster for a while. she was experimented on, abused and treated like a labrat. now that gaster has her with the rest of the survivors she's being blackmailed to stay quiet about what gasters real motives are to the people or else flowey will find out how he really died.

Plasma (Grillby) has almost given up completely. his daughter is infected and is slowly turning, its hard to keep people fed. he knows things are slowly going down hill and he's just waiting for the snowball to speed up at this point. the only reason he still gets out of bed in the morning is that way he can keep people fed, do his part, and because the somehow still alive burgerpants is too mentally unstable to do it himself. He's also being blackmailed by muffet.

Muffet is a crime boss essentially. she blackmails, threatens and harasses. she knows she's important because she can grab whatever remaining supplies are left from places the actual people assigned as guards cant thanks to her many many spiders. she views people as a means to get rich, and thats it. she, if anything, enjoys the apocalypse because it causes people to be reliant on her.

The AU is really screwed. Especially with the characters. Some are trying their best and losing, others have given up. Some aren’t even good people and are just using the apocalypse to achieve what they want because they can. So, enjoy. It’s less telling new info, and more putting things into perspective!

Does your muse believe in luck? How about fate?

100% Pecha believes in luck and fate. She overly romanticizes every meeting she has, be it romantic or platonic. It’s by fate her friends or lovers meet her! The stars aligned so she could have so many wonderful people in her life. She also really believes in horoscopes and will follow what hers say for the day.

Aman thinks luck is a thing, but not fate. He thinks everything in life just has a chance of working out/not working out and he’d rather take the side he thinks has a more likely chance of happening.

How well does your muse sleep?

Pecha probably sleeps better in a tent on a sleeping bag. Product of being raised in the wilderness by her dad. She has a nice bed at home but she sleeps a bit lightly in it? Sleeps more soundly in the great outdoors. Wakes up refreshed and rejuvenated when camping like a freak.

Aman doesn’t sleep well at all. Trauma does that to a person. He’ll wake up at any little noise.

Pecha prefers the sun. It’s bright and warm and it makes the world colorful. Without that bright light, you can’t see colors! And the sun also gives life. A day soaking up sun rays while laying in a flowery field sounds perfect to her.

Aman prefers the moon. The quiet darkness of night is comforting and it’s what he’s used to.

What is your muse’s opinion about flower crowns?

Pecha loves them and knows how to make them. She puts them on herself or her pokemon when just idly spending time outside.

Aman is okay with their presence but would rather not wear them. He isn’t a “soft boy” type.

What is your muse’s smile like? Do they smile often?

Pecha often has a worried looking smile, which I try to portray as a sort of shy thing she does? Worried smiles are my favorite kind because they make a character look like they’re have anxiety which I relate to a lot. I think I’ve drawn Pecha with a genuine looking smile only a few times and that was either when she was younger (more carefree) or when she was with a loved one.

Aman often has a smirky, menace smile. Comes with his cheeky disposition and also him masking his real personality. I actually don’t think I’ve drawn Aman with a genuine smile…

Pecha loves fall and spring! They’re the perfect weather for being outside. Not too hot, not too cold. Spring is when everything is coming alive and it’s gorgeous and theres flowers everywhere. Fall is the opposite, with everything going dormant and the tree leaves falling. It makes you really appreciate life.

On the other hand, she isn’t a big fan of winter. The cold weather makes it hard to do the outdoor activities she wants to.

Aman likes winter the best. Being Sinnohan, he’s just used to a colder climate. Snow is some of his favorite weather too since it reminds him of home.

He hates summer. It’s hot and gross and sticky and he hides inside most of the time to avoid the heat.

The post you made about Astarion being the fan fave. Have you ever considered... thats not an issue? Like ever? At all? I dont even play BG3 but after being in several fandoms where theres always been a small cluster of people that arent interested in the fan favorite and do nothing but constantly shit the bed over others all enjoying the popular characters, I just think its stupid. What do you expect as a solution - everyone forcing themselves to try and change their favorite and their blogs to please you, a complete stranger? Why would they? Do you not see the entitlement...? This isnt something like an area of scientific research getting neglected. Its fandoms on tumblr, and people enjoying something harmless. The only one who would benefit here is you and a few others that like the less popular characters - but you dont *need* to benefit. It would be nice if you did but if you dont get to, thats life. You are not entitled to a high volume of fics, artwork, posts etc that center around your fave. At all. Its not an issue that youre not getting that, creators will make what they will and people are allowed to enjoy certain aspects of a media most of all that you dont. Their fun isnt about you. It sucks for you, I do empathize that it must feel frustrating, but get over it. People dont need to change their fave and creative outputs all for your sake. And you can always commission if you feel so entitled to. But otherwise all of this stuff is free content people make primarily for themselves and those who feel the same.

I do think there’s a wider issue about the treatment of black characters in fandom, but there was no malice intended towards anyone and I think people should enjoy what they enjoy, just be aware. im fine im sane im noramal im so unbleiveably cringe ,, the only person i have irl- fuck, or even online for that matter- to show the dumbass things i write is my silly little dumbass younger brother who doesn;t understand what im trying to get at and i guess its not his fault, i seriously doubt he's spent unhealthy amounts of time making various short scenerios in his head about charcters he came up with and eventually trying to give them a story and write little things about them in google docs because where else am i supposed to put this and its just ,, he doesnt know wht im trying to do and i dont know how to explain it to him because the "history" i gess behind it is so fucking complicated by now that these characters arent even the same characters as they were when i originally created them, other than some physical attributes and their names and he just knows them as the random cringe shit i made up in middle school but so many years have passed by now that these stupid fuckers whose only purpose to serve is to make me stop remembering that i exist and ive gotten too attatched to them because who else was i supposed to get attatched to when i was going through an identity crisis at the time- and, quite frankly, still fucking am- and it was so much easier to pretend i dont exist and just project my flaws and insecurities and underlying subconcsious thoughts into these charactes that no one knows about except me and oh god im just created a long ass vent post on tumblr that no one's going to read and no one understands the story behind fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck whatever ill go ahead and post this unfinished thing because no one's going to get it either way ill probably delete it later if it doesnt get buried under reblogs

dont think too much about this i just got sad because my brother was giving me a bunch of criticism on an outline of a story i was working on- which is fair, i need to take criticism- but he only knows the characters in it as their semi-formed cringe versions so i chickened out half way and now i feel bad because i was really proud of this thing for the whopping span of like one day before i decided to show it to another human person instead of letting it rot away inside of me like i usually do and now i feel bad about my writing skills
