As we can see I’m still struggling to wake up earlier. But I think I gave myself enough time to get things done before we have rehearsal. I’m excited to dance today. I’m not sure what teacher were having but I’m excited to show up for myself and as a professional.

After last nights reflections I feel like today I need to pick up faster.nI got I need to find cadence in each move. From the videos, I did like my flow but I feel like I could add more character and step outside my comfort zone.

Either way I’m excited to take notes and indulge into today. I’m gonna try to get a closer step up and actually following through with my process.

I slept in out room last night with rain sounds loud as hell. It was peaceful but I need to get to bed sooner because that’s why I’m not getting up as early. It’s ridiculous to think I’m gonna be okay with a full day of dance on 4 hours of sleep. But today Im starting off on the right foot and with the right intentions.

Nothing else I really wanna get off my chest. I’m gonna keep indulging in my dance and how I learn a dance. I’m gonna keep asking KO his observations.

AFTER

Ko gave it to me. He said he likes the way I move but it needs to be polished and I feel the same. I feel like it doesn’t look good all put together. But also feel like I want to know what looks good so I know what to lean into and what needs work.

Alisha told me she’s staying with KO which kind of shocked me because I thought he was gonna offer me a place to stay but I guess not. Of course my mind instantly goes to, why her and not me. But I have faith God has what he has in store for me and I can do what I need to do how he wants me to do it. Although my doubts and insecurities are starting to whisper in the back of my mind but I’m trying to remind myself that I have my own unique journey and I trust Gods plan for me.

We have Ray foundation for the next hour but I figure I take a breath and check in with myself so I can do the next class prepared. & I actually feel prepared this time. Checking in with myself I feel okay. I could have tapped in way better this morning but that’s okay. That’s why I’m gonna take a beat and reset for the rest of the evening with this next class.

I WROTE THIS LONG AGO. IT’S NOT THE FIRST TIME I’VE POSTED THIS PIECE, BUT EVERY TIME I HAVE SOMEONE HAS REACHED OUT WHO CAN RELATE. IF YOU FIND THIS AND IT SPEAKS TO YOU, PLEASE KNOW, I UNDERSTAND.

In my head,

there is a room.

Black as night,

cold as a corpse.

I know this room,

fear lives here.

There are no door,

no windows.

I see a crack in the wall,

it leaks.

Not water, but tears.

My tears.

Mirror’s on the walls.

There is something in them.

Someone?

I look.

I see you.

I see me.

I see them.

They point and chuckle,

Mocking and yelling.

What is this?

What are they?

“They are you.”

“Your past.”

“Your present.”

“Maybe Even your future.”

I turn and see,

a hooded man.

A phantom.

The mirrors fall silent,

looking on.

“Who are you?”

“I am all.”

“What do you want?”

“Your Pain. Your tears.”

“NO!”

“Let me out! Where is the way out?!”

He points.

A crashing sound,

the floor quakes.

I turn and see.

A table,

not there before.

The hooded man appears.

I am scared.

“I give you many keys,

to a single door.”

He points upon the table.

A gun.

A noose.

A needle.

A knife.

“Four keys, one door.”

“You choose.”

“Why do you want to hurt me?”

“I don’t, I want you to die.”

“To let it all go.”

“Why?”

“To end the suffering.”

“Do you not wish relief?”

Not like this.

“Why not you?”

“Me kill you?”

“YES!”

“Only you can kill yourself.”

His gloved hands reach out,

pulling back his hood.

My skins crawls.

Blood runs cold.

Behind the hood,’

I see myself.

“I don’t want to die!”

“Do you wish to escape then?”

“YES!”

I turn.

The sound of a bell.

A string hangs,

a razor dangles.

“Blood will buy you time.”

“Punish yourself... bleed.”

“And I will disappear... for now.”

The edge glistens.

Pressing against my flesh.

If I will not die,

I must be punished.

The razor glides.

Falling crimson raindrops.

Release.

The hooded man,

grins and dissolves.

On the floor,

falls ashes and rags.

The mirrors look away.

A loud creak.

The crack opens up,

into light.

Walking through,

its bliss.

A high.

Pure.

I open my eyes.

The razor falls.

A pool of blood in the sink.

I’m in the bathroom.

I’m scared.

But at ease.

I’m lost.

But at home.

I will heal for now.

Maybe not now,

or tomorrow.

But someday.

Sometime soon.

The hooded man,

will want my blood again.
