🔯Zoldyck Family HCs🔯

I wish this had been explored more in the actual manga, because to me the Zoldyck family is one of the most intriguing things in HxH.

We did get this chart which is very interesting, but I wanted to expand on it with a couple more headcanons and speculations. Doesn't include Maha, Zigg or Grandma Zoldyck cause there's too little info on them (Seriously Zeno, where do you keep your wife?)

🪭Kalluto🪭

Starting with Kalluto because he's the youngest and also gets very little time to shine.

It is commonly agreed that he cares about Killua a lot and wishes he'd pay attention to him, and I think so too.

His relationship with Illumi is possibly one of mentor and apprentice, they go on missions together and Illumi supervises him to make sure he carries out assassinations properly, without toying with his victims too much.

We don't see him interacting with Milluki at all aside from flashbacks, but the two might have a pretty positive relationship. I think it still means a lot to Kalluto that his shut-in brother would take time out of his day to go on walks and play with him, even if that hasn't happened in a while.

As for his relationship with Silva and Zeno, I do like the idea of both father and grandpa being proud of Kalluto for mastering Nen at such a young age, though Silva might be a bit disappointed that Kalluto disobeyed him and became part of the Phantom Troupe.

🧸Alluka🧸

Such a sweetheart aaaa I wanna see more of her and Killua's future adventures.

Ever since her ability was discovered by the other members of the family, Alluka's either been used to get something (Looking at you, Milluki), or feared. Silva and Kikyo definitely fear her powers, and Zeno probably does too. Though... I have a weird feeling that unlike the rest of the family, Zeno would be like Killua and at least respect Alluka's pronouns, if she likes 'she/her', Zeno doesn't see the problem with referring to her as a girl.

I think Alluka on the other hand really wants to love the members of her family, despite how horribly they've treated her. She probably doesn't even understand why they all became so cautious around her at one point.

The only family member that Alluka does not like is Illumi for... pretty obvious reasons. Illumi isn't subtle at all with his desire to control her and her powers; plus, Illumi's hurt Killua the most, I don't think she could ever be okay with someone who's hurt her big brother so much (even by Zoldyck standards).

🪀Killua🪀

Not much to say about Killua since we see him interact with most of his family a bit more in-depth... aside from Kalluto-

Killua has definitely always favored Alluka over Kalluto, despite how much the youngest Zoldyck strives to get his attention. This is probably because of how close Kalluto is to his mom.

Killua finds Kikyo annoying, and definitely doesn't trust her, so since Kalluto spends a lot of time with their mother, by proxy, Killua can't bring himself to trust his younger brother either.

Aside from Alluka, whom he obviously trusts deeply, the other member of the family he trusts the most is probably his grandpa; Zeno clearly favors him and seems to be more supportive of Killua's choices compared to the rest of his family.

🎮Milluki🎮

Milluki my beloved, how I wish you weren't just the butt of a joke 90% of the time.

Physically speaking, he's probably the weakest Zoldyck besides Alluka, so he's most likely afraid of the other men in the family, and would definitely not want to get on their bad side.

He obeys and respects both Silva and Zeno, but I also think Milluki would like to be treated like Killua by his grandpa, that's why he shares his invention ideas with him; he wishes Zeno would praise him some.

Milluki is 100% a mama's boy, he cares about her so much, he definitely had the strongest reaction out of everyone when his mother's safety was threatened by Nanika's powers. Despite this, Kikyo doesn't seem to give him any particularly special treatment, again, that is reserved for Killua.

He's most definitely also the unlucky middle child, I think he was definitely put to the side once Killua was born; his family fully focused on Kil since he's the heir, and left Milluki to kinda do his own thing. I feel like this consequentially brought him to be jealous of Killua and all the attention he gets.

I swear he's even worse off than Kalluto, cause at least he's got his mother's love, Milluki's basically neglected even by Zoldyck standards.

🪡Illumi🪡

Man's the family's workaholic, you can't change my mind, he's also a little fucked up, but we love him for it.

He definitely cares about his whole family in his own twisted way. That includes Milluki too, they were the first two Zoldyck siblings so until Killua was born, they most definitely spent a lot of time together. Illumi doesn't really understand his brother, but he humors him.

His relationship with Kikyo is never really explored, but I see them as being definitely close, not as close as she is with Kalluto, but close. They share the same mindset when it comes to Killua. Illumi was also her first child, so she definitely poured her heart and soul into training him into being the perfect assassin, and it definitely shows.

Illumi's dynamic with his father and grandfather is definitely one of mutual respect, they may not agree on everything, but they trust each other's strength. Silva also appreciates Illumi's dedication to the family's business.

👒Kikyo👒

M'lady- okay no girl needs to take a chill pill, her fashion tho, on point.

Obviously her view of love is completely warped, growing up in Meteor City and marrying a world-renowned assassin didn't do her mental health many favors. But just like Illumi, she does love her kids deeply in a really twisted way.

She plays favorites, Killua and Kalluto are the ones she cares about the most, and with how dismissive of Milluki she is, he's probably her least favorite, kinda tragic since Milluki loves his mother a lot... but then we have Illumi, where does he stand? Kikyo cares about her first born child of course, she's very proud of him, and trusts him a lot with keeping Killua in check, since they seem to share opinions on how he should be trained. She wishes he'd spend more time with her for sure.

Her opinion however is way too often brushed off by Silva, not because she's a woman, but because she's not been raised like a Zoldyck, she doesn't fully know their ways, so she's not seen as a valid voice. It's an unfair treatment, and it really pisses her off.

☄️Silva☄️

True winner of the 'Father of the Year' award, along with Ging, great job you two.

Silva honestly has evil mastermind vibes, he cares about Killua, but also wants to constantly control him and test him in his own way (the needle was a massive proof of that). He's just a lot more subtle with it compared to Illumi and Kikyo.

He loves his wife, no doubt, even if he doesn't show it very often, I think the man is prone to small displays of love, and definitely shows it more with his actions than his words. (Him agreeing to let Alluka out of her room because he doesn't want Kikyo to die is definitely the biggest display of this we've seen canonically, he's aware of how dangerous Alluka's powers could be, but he still chose to risk the consequences of that over sacrificing his wife).

His relationship with his other kids is not really explored that much, but I believe he's mostly satisfied with all of them. I don't think he's super disappointed in Milluki either, but he definitely doesn't expect much of him, he does wish he'd take things more seriously.

🐲Zeno🐲

My favorite anime old man! I really wish people would pay more attention to him, he's cool as hell.

Zeno is probably the most chill man in the family, maybe cause he's old, but he's definitely the least likely to snap back at any of his family members.

He has a very strong set of morals, with him not wanting to cause any unnecessary deaths and all. I feel like because of this, he silently disapproves of Illumi's ways, especially regarding his Needle People, and the older brother's desire to control Killua.

Zeno doesn't really think much of Kikyo, he acknowledges her skills and such, but doesn't really go out of his way to interact with her. These two have definitely had their disagreements, mostly because Zeno tends to act on his own without consulting anyone, let alone her, which inevitably angers Kikyo.

He is quite proud of all his grandchildren, even if he's mostly focused on Killua. Much like Silva, he is happy that Kalluto mastered Nen at such a young age. He also sees more potential in Milluki, but wishes he was more committed to the family's business and used his genius to its full potential.

ABO Headcanons

California being a dormant omega. He doesn't quite look like a classic omega, being taller than even many alphas, but he has the nurturing tendencies (wanting to adopt Austin and wanting to care for him when he's cold). He's also unafraid of most Alphas - which is a quality considered undesirable in old society - and has often argued against them. An Alphas Voice works on him, still, but using their Voice has been made illegal in many states(not yet federal law).

New York as a dormant Alpha. He doesn't look much like one of his gender either, being of medium build, and he's shorter than some omegas like Mississippi or Florida. He has the aggressiveness of a stereotypical Alpha, but it's still nothing like a dominant's. He's not as territorial, but a majority of the Northeastern states are also Alphas of varying rank, and he grew up thinking it's what he's supposed to do

Alaska is a dominant alpha. It's surprising to many - not that he’s an alpha(he certainly has the build of one), but that he is a dominant one - because he's remarkably laid back. When people tell him this, he gets a little bothered, but refuses to show it. Being an alpha doesn't mean he has to be loud and aggressive all the time. However, his chill attitude also probably derives from a lineage of strong A genes, making him a higher rank than many.

Texas is a dominant alpha, the biggest stereotype. He's loud, proud, and loves to argue. California's got spunk, but he's raised to believe omegas are weaker, and that creates conflict in him. Also, internalized homophobia time, he is attracted to other Alphas

Florida is a recessive omega. He doesn't show any of the qualities typical omegas do, and his heats tend to be irregular. When it comes to recessive omegas, I think the Voice does work on them, but only when used by someone of strong A lineage, like Alaska(not that he would ever use it). The only real indicator that he's an omega is his medical records, if you can even find them. Otherwise, people just have to believe him. When it comes to pheromones, he can smell the scents, but they have little to no effect on him

Louisiana is another case of a dominant alpha with a lack of aggression/territoriality. He's heard it all, from every gender, about how he should act. He, frankly, doesn't care. He's confident in himself, and he's never felt more understood than by Florida, someone who knows what it's like to not fit in with people of your secondary gender. At the same time, however, he finds himself feeling more like a dominant Alpha around Florida than he ever did before. He wants to protect him and scent him and even make him submit at times. It scares him, especially since Florida isn't affected like he is, and he doesn't know how to allow himself to express these desires. They're normal to other dominant alphas, but not him.

Georgia is a dominant omega(wooo first one!) who very much fits in with his secondary gender, with a tendency to care for others and bring a sense of calm to those around him with his scent. His attraction is strictly towards other Omegas and Betas He loves Florida very much and the same is true vice versa. He is nervous around Alphas, though, for some reason.

Nevada is a dominant Omega; definitely lives up to the standard. His confidence as a Queen is a given, with an ability to make Alphas submit to him. Despite his status, his preferences lie most commonly in Betas. He has on-and-off relationships with Connecticut, Colorado, New Jersey, and even Gov.

Gov has no secondary gender. It's one of the things that's always separated him from the States. It’s never stopped him from keeping order between them, but hes never surprised when someone decides to challenge his authority. Thankfully, he’s got enough dirt on everyone to keep him cushy in his position.

My headcanons about Luke’s and Aemond's boggarts:

Aemond: absolute darkness. I think little would scare Aemond more than losing what’s left of his eyesight. The boggart would turn the whole room dark and Aemond would hyperventilate and shoot off a curse at it in his fear. It would take him a long time to be able to laugh at it and defeat the creature.

Luke: I think his boggart would change over time but would remain related to the fight when he took Aemond's eye. First, it's Alicent carving out his eye, then Jace being dead, then Aemond wanting to take revenge, and finally, after he falls in love, it's Aemond dead.

Their Patronuses:

Aemond: He would refuse to show it to anyone for a long time, long enough that people think he's unable to produce one. But it's actually a beautiful but plain arctic fox. He doesn't want to show it because it looks harmless and cute. But it's a very resilient and stubborn creature, and can withstand a Dementor attack the longest out of everyone's Patronuses. And its personality, coincidentally, resembles Luke's.

Luke: I like the idea of Luke’s being some sort of reptile. Sea serpent sounds great too, but I can also see it being an enormous and fiery dragon whose face is scarred. Maybe the exact same way Aemond's is. I would also love it if it was something related to his Strong heritage, but I'm not sure what that could be.

My Daycare Attendant Headcanons!

Sun and Moon are 12ft tall, or described as over twice the height of an average person.

Sun has pupils! They do not have irises though! Pupil color is a light red. They do not glow, unlike moon’s irises!

Moon’s irises are default red with white slit pupils. On (his) right, his iris is red, the left his whole eye is black.

Moon’s pupils can change from red scleras and white pupils, black sclera to red iris, & all black depending on mood. Sometimes it only effects the right eye. (The side of his crescent)

Sun and Moon go by He/They pronouns!

Sun will respond to any sun themed nickname while moon will only respond to Moon or Moondrop. He will respond to Moony if from Sun.

Sun has 12 bells on his person, while moon has 13

Sun and moon have a slightly wider chest than in canon though are still skinnier than the glamrocks.

Moon has claws, sun cannot activate them however due to his role as a daycare attendant.

Moon’s appearance was designed more in order to be a security parodical more so than a daycare attendant. He doubled as a DCA however due to the low light he would be exposed to in order to activate. This means his design is slightly less child friendly than Sun’s as children don’t see him much.

For the short period of time where Moon interacted with the children he was extremely pleased with his role.

Moon is very protective of Sun and will often drive other away if they are perceived as a possible threat.

Sun has a tooth gap while Moon has fangs!

Moon was additionally used for blood transfusions within the pizza plex. He takes on a slightly vampiric design to accompany his extra role. His fangs can work, but are not used for drawing blood. Not until recently.

Moon stores type -O blood within his casing, his back having a needle in it for blood transfusions or drawings.

Sun has two sets of rays, his initial yellow wavy rays and a smaller set of red rays. They both spin!

Moon’s stars and half of his face glow in the dark very slightly.

Moon’s red eyes also glow significantly brighter, often painting the room red.

Sun’s hands are specifically equipped with heating pads to simulate hand holding for children.

Sun’s body also has heated areas to simulate hugs!

Moon is affected by the glitchtrap virus which causes him to become more aggressive and unpredictable. He also tends to hurt others more easily, usually on accident. He is usually aware during his ‘glitches’.

Sun and Moon are like two peas in a pod, they are inseparable and rely on one another. As such, both of them usually cover or try to protect the other.

The daycare attendant is separated from the rest of the animatronics, resulting in them only knowing the band by their advertisements and rumors.

While Moon can roam freely, he tends to avoid the other animatronics due to his antisocial nature. The virus also makes him aggressive towards others, even other animatronics so this is another reason why he is hesitant.

Moon holds a very slight grudge against the Glamrocks for how management treats them in comparison to Sun and how none of them visit the daycare despite supposedly knowing about them.

Sun and Moon have a music box within them, though typically only Moon would use it. Sometimes Sun uses it to produce funny noises his voice box cant.

Both sun and moon are extremely flexible, though Moon shows off more than Sun.

Moon uses the pulley system around the plex more often than Sun. Sun can use it but has a bit more trouble than Moon.

The Daycare Attendant is deceptively strong, both for security reasons and for safety reasons.

Despite their heavier weight, they are rather light on their feet. Though they are not as heavy as the Glamrocks.

Sun does not exit the daycare, even at night. This is because he follows the rule of ‘staying with the children’ to the extreme and is afraid to break the rule even if during the night.

Management treats The Daycare Attendant poorer than they treat the Glamrocks, though not so bad that it warrants customer complaints.

Moon’s voice has gotten more gravelly as the virus worsens.

Moon used to work in the daycare, however recent incidents have caused management to pull him out. He is too expensive to decommission however, rather only preforming his nightly duties.

While Sun is not directly affected by the virus, he can still be rather unhinged and anxious due to its effects on Moon and the daycare.

hi i wanted to ask bc i’m always curious about other peoples orkneys takes: if mordred is the second youngest, who’s the youngest? (& if you want to share any other opinions you have on the orkneys, order of siblings or otherwise, go ahead :) but no pressure)

HIIII!!!! thank you so much for your question !!!! i'm sorry this is going to be super super long i have a lot of thoughts about the orkneys (guy who named himself after biblical cain and loves complex sibling dynamics)

of course gareth is the youngest, but generally it goes like this for me

gawain - eldest obviously. there's this line from alliterative morte that i'm really fond of that sums how i think of him really well

"like a berserker he fights in a frenzy for fierceness and heart; fights and cuts down all who stand before him and never did fortune so favor the brave"

++++++ eldest brother syndrome. eldest daughter syndrome, even. i think with having morgause as his mother + the death of lot he was put in the place of taking care of his younger siblings and tried his best to be the role model for them... i was always really fond of a teenage gawain taking care of an infant gareth while leading agravaine and gaheris as children to bed. he's super repressed and has a lot of angst... but i think one of his key traits is his devotion to his family (which of course includes arthur as well... who i think he found a paternal figure in, in the lack of emotional connection from morgause and lot's physical absence)

i think mordred came into the family later on but by then he'd be an adolescent and gawain would be fully integrated into the kotr which fuels his outsider syndrome tbh and the struggle w/ his family. i do think gawain really tried his best to reach out to him though because that's still his baby brother.... and it's one of the reasons why i like the idea of mordred killing gawain instead as opposed to lancelot haha i think it makes the betrayal 100x more agonzing and heartwrenching. plus the fact that they're family hits different for me. but anyways.....

agravaine - second eldest and has bad middle child syndrome, but i also read the wicked day by mary stewart when i was younger and it shaped my view of the orkneys a lot so i'm also fond of the idea of him being twins with gaheris... either goes though. i think agravaine is the second saddest in the orkneys apart from mordred, but for different reasons i think... there's a lot of bitterness in his heart. largely due to growing up with gawain's shadow over him i imagine

gaheris - either twins with agravaine or the ultimate middle child. surprisingly i don't have a lot of opinions on him ? i think. in my ditched retelling (different from lideri and closer to medieval arthuriana) he used to be really close with agravaine but they grew distant as they grew older. i liked making him an artist for some reason i think it's cute + i had the idea that he actually didn't die, he was the remaining orkney after the battle at camlann so he had to rule over orkney something he wasn't prepared for in the slightest

gareth is the youngest. i love making him the baby of the orkneys. i think gawain spoils him to death, i borrowed this from mary stewart again but i also like to think that he wasn't spoiled by not just gawain but also by morgause because of his likeness to her, though i don't think he's similar to her at all personality wise esp when he grows up. he has the image of a young awkward teenager to me haha and he struggles in his place amongst the orkneys. he also has a similar issue with gaheris wherein he feels at odds with his siblings esp their conflict bc the orkneys is dramaland. i don't know if you ever read the brothers karamazov but gareth for me is similar to alyosha where he acts as the glue for the orkneys, which is why when he dies gawain loses his shit

there's also clarissant... who i think is along the same ages as gareth and mordred. though i haven't thought much yet for her bc i only started thinking of her recently i like the idea of her being a lady knight though

and well.. there's mordred.... don't ask me i have a lot of opinions on that guy.

it’s ace week (yay!)

so as a resident asexual here’s a list of jatp characters that are asexual because I - an asexual - said so (along with explanations because I cannot in fact not over share):

when I first watched jatp, before I delved into our beautiful online community I was discussing h/c in relation to character sexualities with my friend (because it’s clear they’re all queer) and I had told her that reggie wasn’t really giving bi vibes but it wasn’t pan either. then in a moment of genius I went “biromantic asexual” and she responded with “..YES!” and I’m right.

Many headcanons

Red skull is 6 foot 6 while Steve is only 6 foot.

Although Steve is an enhanced super soldier red skulls’ reflexes are still better and so is his fighting form and stance. Therefore Steve can land blows but most of the time and from instinct red skull will catch and in able Steve to cause further damage.

Red skull knows debilitating pressure points.

Red skull trains Steve to be better in combat.

They are boyfriends

Alm and Celica don’t really ever do much explicitly romantic. At least not that I can remember. Like, they get married and look at each other longingly a lot, but I don’t really remember them ever doing something like kiss or hold hands. And yeah, they’re very emotionally invested in each other’s safety, but they’re also very emotionally invested in all their friends’ safety. They’re just more invested in each other’s. Yes I do!!! I added my sexuality and gender hc btw :D

So for Allura and Coran I like to think that Alteans don't really have labels. They just love who they love and there isn't "heterosexual" and "homosexual" you just love who you love.

Butttttt if I do give them labels I say:

Allura: Lesbian! I also like to think she uses she/they

Coran: Pansexual uncle figure, wouldn't be surprised if he practiced polyamory and uses he/him

Now for the team:

Shiro: Gay (going with canon as well) and he/they

Keith: Gay and he's defiantly a trans guy and no one will change my mind, he/him. I also like to think he's demiromantic/sexual (I will not be entertaining antis regarding this)

Lance: Bisexual icon! I like to hc him as a causal bisexual, aka he just drops the fact he had a bf in the past. He/him

Hunk: I tend to think of him as pansexual as well and I like to think he doesn't really care what pronouns you use for them!

Pidge: Aroace and I tend to write them as they/them but I hc them using they/she
