hey is it alright if I send a request? Maybe comforting the reader when they are sad and feel inadequate and lonely? I don’t mind who you want to write for I just wanted to ask because I’m really struggling atm
Helloooo! I'm sorry you are feeling down. I also have been feeling down for a while, so this kind of took me some time to write. I didn't really know what to say to make myself feel better let alone someone else...but Vass just has a way of cheering people up I think ^_^
Drider (Vass) x gender neutral reader

“What’s wrong (Y/N)?” Vass asked, looking down at you.
You weren’t your usual cheerful self, bouncing around his nest on the spongy floor as you worked on the little assignments he gave you to help him out with his business.
You sniffled and Vass gasped, scooping you up in his arms.
“Dumpling,” he murmured, pushing your tear streaked face up to his, “tell me what’s going on…”
You nodded to the mess you’d made on the floor. While working with the dyes you’d spilled the wrong color and then slipped in it, turning you and a whole pile of six beautiful shirts that were supposed to be red, blue. There was no way that was coming out and it was all uneven. You couldn’t save any of it, not to mention the blotchy blue streaks covering your feet and legs. You’d be dyed for weeks.
“I can’t do anything right,” you mumbled, lowering your head, “I just mess everything up.”
“(Y/N),” he cooed, trying to give you an encouraging smile, “you just made a mistake. I’m glad you didn’t hurt yourself falling but it’s nothing that can’t be fixed.”
Your eyes filled with tears.
“No,” you murmured, “I’m just a fuck up. I always ruin everything. That’s why they made me a trapper and wouldn’t let me back in the village. I was always knocking things over and breaking things. It’s like…I have a curse or something.”
On the word curse you let out a high pitched sob and tears tumbled from your cheeks.
“I’m cringe,” you wailed.
Vass tried not to laugh.
“Cringe?” he asked.
You nodded through your tears.
“My whole life is just cringe. Everyone else makes a mistake once in a while, but I can’t walk two feet without breaking something or knocking it over or saying something stupid.”
Vass clucked.
“I’ve never heard you say anything stupid, (Y/N)” he assured you.
You trembled in his arms.
“You don’t understand,” you sniffled, “you haven’t known me long enough. Once I told the chief of the village in front of the whole assembly that he “rode me too hard” and everyone laughed. I was always saying stupid stuff like that. I was the laughing stock of the whole village. I’m just…cringe…nothing comes out right. I can’t ever do anything right. It was better when I couldn’t speak at all. I just suck.”
You dissolved into your own pity party of tears and Vass sighed, pulling you to his chest, tucking you under his chin while he carried you to the bathroom. He didn’t speak or try to console you while he undressed you and then slid into the water with you. Sitting you on the little ledge of the large pool he carefully scrubbed the excess dye off of your feet.
It didn’t come off completely, but you were no longer dripping with it.
“You wanna know how my dad died?” Vass asked suddenly.
You blinked at him through your tears. It wasn’t the sort of thing you could say “no” to, despite how caught up you were in your own misery so you nodded.
“He was unabashedly a bastard,” he announced with a chuckle.
You blinked.
“What?” you asked.
Vass’s eight eyes flicked up to you and he nodded.
“He was. He was mean, drank too much and got meaner. He used to walk around the castle showing his dick to anyone he could catch just to prove how big it was and trust me it wasn’t that big. He almost bankrupted us on multiple occasions, almost dragged us into war by sleeping with the King of Verunia’s wife, and wrote really, really, really bad poetry about all of it, which he insisted our papers publish. He even wrote and forced the court to cast in movies he produced about his exploits, always painting himself as the hero.
“He died in a prison cell in Verunia, not from execution, but because he tried to eat a rat and contracted some kind of plague that gave him diarrhea. Can you imagine? The King of our land dying from trying to gnaw on a rat? The papers all published that he shit himself to death. The King. He was cringe, but you know what? The asshole had the most confidence of anyone I’ve ever met. It’s not fair.”
Your mouth fell open a little at his story.
“What’s not fair?”
He chuckled.
“That you’re in my bathtub crying over being the cutest little thing on the planet and he…spent his whole life informing anyone who would listen of what he thought were his many endearing attributes. I mean…anyone else would have been embarrassed, but not him. He held his head high every day of his life and I imagine he died with his head just as high.”
He shook his head.
“It’s not that you’re cringe,” he sighed, “it’s that the world doesn’t work right. The best people question themselves endlessly while the worst breeze through life like nothing around them matters. It should be the other way around.”
He gave you a small lopsided smile.
“You could spill a thousand vats of dye and you’d never be as cringe as my dad,” he said, “if you want more proof I’ll show you some of his poetry.”
You looked at him and blinked before a little giggle wormed its way past your lips.
“I-I’m sorry,”  you mumbled, “I shouldn’t laugh.”
He shrugged.
“It’s funny now,” he said, “but I can’t in good conscience let you sit here and beat yourself up and that’s what you’re doing. You’ve cornered yourself and now you are beating yourself down with your words. So you say silly things sometimes and you’re a little clumsy? You’ve never tried to hurt anyone. You’re kind to me and everyone else you’ve met.”
He chuckled.
“You try not to step on ants,” he said, brushing your cheek with his fingertips, “If that’s your brand of cringe then I will happily be cringe with you. You can be cringe all day and I’m just going to think you’re cute.”
You pouted.
“It’s not cute,” you said, crossing your arms.
He smirked at your defiance.
“I’m not allowed to think you’re cute anymore?” he fake pouted back at you with his handsome face, “dunno if I can do that.”
He pinched your blue toes.
“You’ve got cute little toes…”
Then he pinched your knees.
“Cute little knees…”
His fingers traveled up to your soft belly.
“Cute little belly…”
He gathered your hands in his and pulled them to his lips.
“Ten cute little fingers…”
His eyes focused on your lips and he bent down and pressed his mouth gently against yours.
“And a perfect, cute little mouth,” he purred into your lips.
You were too flustered to feel very upset anymore and your cheeks bloomed with heat. He pulled you into his arms and rested his head on your shoulder so you felt the heat of his breath on your neck.
“So stop beating up my cute little mate,” he said quietly, “I love you and I’ll fight you if I have to.”
You giggled at that.
“You’re gonna fight me?” you asked.
He nodded into your neck.
“I’ll fight anyone who tries to hurt my mate, even you,” he assured you.
You giggled a bit and leaned your head back into his chest.
“Well you’re a lot bigger and stronger than me,” you sighed, “I guess I have no choice but to surrender.”
He hummed happily in victory. You still felt a little cringe and maybe a little silly for even being upset to start with but tucked in Vass’s arms you felt like it might be okay anyway.

You want it now? - Megumi Fushiguro x afab!reader - Angst
Tumblr media
All characters are aged up!
College AU! Friends with benefits AU!
A/N: I had this for literal months on my phone, I forgot about it until yesterday 😅 But here it is, so enjoy it!
A/N#2: I promise i will write the requests I have when i have a lit bit of time to spare. 😜
You and Megumi are lying on  the bed, looking at each other with soft gazes and smiles on your faces. Megumi is caressing your face and helping you fix your hair the best he can in this position. You giggle a little, the touch of his fingers tickle your skin. "Y/N…" He speaks softly. "Yeah?" "I want us to…" he seems nervous and you wonder why, Megumi´s not the nervous type. "You want us to try a new position or something?" You joke to help him feel at ease and his lips twitch upside a little. "No, it's just that… I want you to be my girlfriend" he brushes a strand of your hair out of your face. You deadpan. "Excuse me?" you murmur, was your hearing alright? Is Megumi playing some kind of prank to you? "I'm in love with you, Y/N" You get up of the bed the fastest you can, getting tangled in the sheets, almost falling from it "Are you fucking kidding me, Megumi?" The anger and frustration in your voice is evident. Megumi sits up, clearly confused by your reaction. "No, i'm telling the true. Why would i be lying?" "You are insane" you start to get your clothes on. This whole situation was insane. Your best friend, the one you fuck with, the one you were in love with was confessing, but it fell so fucking wrong. "W-Why?" he stutters, completly taken aback "I don't get it. I am in love with you. Isn't that what you wanted to hear?" "No!" you answered. This was infuriating. "Not like this!" "Then how? You want me to take on a date or something? Fine! I can do that! Let's have a date right now!" he starts dressing too. His tone almost desesperate. "You are an asshole." you spit, wasn´t it obvious that this was making you unhappy? "What? Why?" "You want us to get serious NOW?" "I mean, yeah" he didn't know what else to say. You seem to get more angry with each word that spilled out of his mouth. Megumi had no idea why this was making you so angry. You should be happy, he is in love with you. That´s what you wanted months ago. "You don't fucking love me" you spit finally after almost a minute of silence, your glassy eyes express so many emotions that Megumi can´t define at the moment "You just like the fucking attention I give you, you damn narcissistic bastard" "Where is this coming from?" he defends himself. If he was being honest, he never thought that all of this was going to end like this, he pictured it the other way. He thought that the moment he confessed to you, you were going to be happy and give him the opportunity to love you the way he always wanted. He was finally realising that you were everything he needed, always had been, he was just "emotionally constipated" as Nobara has said a week ago. "I confessed to you 2 months ago and you rejected me! You said we were fine "just like friends and sexual partners"". you shout with the tears rolling down your cheeks. "But i'm in love with you now!" he tried to control his emotions, he realy did back then, but it was a mistake, he knew it then and he knows it now. It was a mistake to reject you, and he wanted to correct it, you just have to let him... "I'm sorry, i didn't know that i would fall for you. But it´s not a lie, I love you. Please believe me..." "You want us to get serious just when YOUR feelings are the ones involve." You laugh, but it is an ironic laugh. Not happiness, just the sour feeling your heart was feeling at the moment. "But you love me too, don't you?" It´s the only thing his brain could think about, but the last thing you wanted to hear from him and the disappointment on your face is everything he needs to know he fucked up big this time, he broke your heart, and it was game over for him. You sigh, and it´s all you can do right now, you don´t have the energy to spend in this situation anymore, you give up "Remember what you said to me when i first confessed? That's what i'm going to tell you right now: "You'll get over it". with that, you turn on your heels and leave the room and Megumi behind.

I AM IN LOVE W YOUR WRITING???? SOMEHOW???????? I eat it and leave no single word behind
I'm just like, so sososoososos sorry if you aren't taking requests- but I always wondered what would it be like for the welcome home crew to have a king dice like reader around? The reader lives deep into the forest and just one day comes across the neighbourhood, but someone sees them, and they just run away not wanting to interact with the eye-killing coloured creatures.
They have a 20s/casino aesthetic and is pretty much a smug bastard, but also funny and elegant, very good at board games and gambling in general!
(they can be another neighbour or a villain, whatever fits better!!! you can search up more info if you'd like-)
(I’ve got a brief knowledge of King Dice and what he plays a role in the game but I’ve never seen the gameplay or anything. Which I’m a little sad about I feel like I would like it, but oh well I hope this is acceptable for you, Darling 🫶🏼)
Tumblr media
You live in the neighborhood of welcome home, you’re all about fairness, you love when everyone is treated equally and fairly. You solve your problems with a deal and negotiation is your strong suit. You’re friendly and overall fair…unless you-
€#3@+
Anyways, just how you came to be a resident at the colorful neighborhood is quite a big misunderstanding.
~~flash back~~
It was a peaceful day in the neighborhood, Barnaby is playing a soft tune on a small guitar while Wally relaxes agains a tree holding an apple in his backyard.
Poppy opens her window as she sets a pie on the windowsill smiling and waving at Frank when he walks by holding a camera. “Good afternoon, Frank.”
“Hey, Poppy! The pie smells good.”
Eddie fixing his hat and closing his shop’s door waving at Howdy, who’s organizing the fruit on the front of the store. “Evening!”
Everything is just like any other day, nothing can ruin this day. Not a single-
“Go, go, go!”
“Don’t rush me, Sally! This is your fault!”
Oh no. What could possibly gone wrong? The crew was asking the question when they hear Sally and Julie yelling and running out the woods behind the horned puppet, followed by dark grey clouds and the booming and rumbling sound of a thunderstorm.
“Guys? What happened? Why is there a storm following you?”
“That’s all good questions, Barnaby and I would love to-“
“No time!” Sally cuts Julie off and pulls both her and the clueless Barnaby towards the middle of the neighborhood. Where everyone heard the commotion and rushed to investigate.
However before anyone could ask anything you slowly but angrily stomp your way into the neighborhood.
Frank was the first to react to you. “Did you make a deal with Y/n?!”
Julie shakes her head rapidly as she whimpers at the flashing lightning hugging Sally’s arm a bit tighter. The star puppet blows a raspberry at Frank. “Don’t be silly..!”
“Then what-“
“I cheated a deal with Y/n..”
“Sally..!!” Both Frank and you yell out, even though your voice surpasses franks as the dark clouds form a big monster like creature.
“What do we do?” Eddie asks, keeping the others behind him, looking up at the cloud monster.
“I have no idea! I thought Y/n was a myth.” Frank yelps and dodges a strike of lightning, jumping closer to Eddie.
“Why not admit you cheated?” Wally asks, calm as ever, holding his apple closer to him.
Everyone looks over at sally who flinches when she caught them staring. She glances behind her but doesn’t see anyone she points at herself when she glances back at her friend.
“Yes, you, sally!” Julie glares which quickly melts into fear when the dark clouds start surrounding everyone and creeping closer. “Ah! Sally just admit it!”
“That’s like admitting defeat! No way!” Sally pouts and crosses her arms.
“If you need to cheat you’ve already admitted defeat before the game begins so what’s your argument?” Frank retorted with a deadpanned expression.
Sally goes to argue but Julie and poppy yell when the cloud moves faster, the electricity flowing through it. Seeing her friends at the verge of danger the star puppet swallows her pride and turns to the big cloud monster with a determined look.
“Hey! Cloud monster, I have something to say!”
“Hurry, Sally!” Howdy calls over as he picks up Julie and Wally to make room and protect them.
The cloud monster roars toward sally, now turning its attention to her.
Sally balls up her fist and takes a deep breath then raising her hand to cup her mouth. “I cheated, I admit it!!”
A snap of a finger was heard, and the clouds slowly disappear. From the light clouds you make yourself visible and the neighborhood could finally see you.
You see, there’s a myth that on the top of the hill there’s a playful spirit. A spirit that loves to play games, but be careful which game you play and the rules they set. Play attention to their rules for they loathe tricksters and cheaters.
Gracefully walking towards Sally, your dress shoes giving a satisfying click with every step and your elegant tailcoat flowing behind you. Despite the elegance a smug twinkle sparks in your eyes as you look at Sally. “You admit it.”
Your voice is smooth and soft yet holds some sassy-ness and smugness into it. You move to her eye level and slightly smirk. “I’ll consider forgiveness. If you apologize.”
“What?”
“Apologize.” You hiss. Your eyes narrowing.
Sally pouts, now not fazed by the glare and sighs deeply. “Fine…I apologize for cheating.”
“Good. We’re friends now.”
~~Flash back to present.~~
That was long ago, and not like, two ish, give or take months. Everyone loves having you a part of the neighborhood, despite your temper and weird dislike for unfaithfulness in someone’s ability to play a game, you’re actually not that bad to hang around, you’re peacefully enjoying this game of monopoly with your friends at a sleepover—
“No! I refuse!”
Wally shakes his head and rubbing his temple at Julie’s protest when she landed on Burnaby’s property and won’t pay because he’s in ‘jail’.
“Julie you landed on his property you have to pay him the 200.” You said calmly, your smug smirk never leaving your lips as you lean your chin against your hand.
Julie stop for a bit, looking at you with a deadpanned expression, one that doesn’t face you. “But he’s in jail! You think imma give my hard earned money to a criminal!”
“That’s not how you play…Julie.” Frank sighs with exhaustion at this game dragging on and your smirk grows at his patience running thin.
“I didn’t even do anything? I just landed on the ‘go to jail’ spot. What’s that? Like—a ticket or something?” Barnaby scratches his head in confusion as Frank shakes his head and sighs again. Eddie, poppy and Howdy already fast asleep and gave up this game a long time ago.
“It doesn’t matter! Just give him the money!”
“N/n why do they keep yelling?” Wally asks as he takes the warm cup you hand over him to hold as you shrug your shoulders.
“No idea. Maybe if we wait longer enough they’ll get physical.” You rub your hands together, liking the idea of the heated ‘argument’ getting physical. You’re not a bad person! You would do anything to stop this argument if it were 100 percent serious, but this is a friendly game and banter. They’ll be fine.
“You know what? I can’t, I don’t wanna play anymore.” Frank crosses his arms and looks away from the board.
“Wha-FranFran you can’t quit the game, we havent made a single turn.”
“Julie…”
“Yes, Frank?”
“You’re the reason why we haven’t completed a turn!”
Yup, you wouldn’t have it any other way. You giggle at the interaction before glancing at the reader and smirking a give, sharped teeth grin.
“Shh.”

Hero || Phillip Graves ||
A/n: I’ve decided to write this imagine out , I’ve come to love this bastard, so I’m changing the cover up incident with Phillip tying to get to the men only for his things being cut off so he had no clue what happened and he doesn’t know about the cover up.
Warnings: Blood, torture, death, angst with a happy ending.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Getting told to betrayed the 141 task force was something he never expected Shepard to say. He didn’t even know how to respond to that but then the man had to bring up you, he had to bring up his little girl. He had no choice but to agree and while he may have told Shepard he would, it didn’t mean that he couldn’t warn Ghost and the others.
“What do you mean he’s trying to burn us.”
Adverting his gaze, Graves frowned placing a folder on the table with all the information he manadged it dig up. “You we’re getting to close.” He sighed dropping his shoulders. “It’s what he told me to do alright, he threatened to have Y/n killed, threatened my kid….look I need you to get her. Bring them somewhere safe….I’ll try to keep him off you’re trail but I do know one thing. You can not trust my team.”
+•+
Soap frowned as he glanced at the home, it was a nice little house. Something that Simon was not expecting at all. “Laswell confirmed Graves suspicions.”
“Which means he’s going to kill Graves when he finds out that he’s gonna help us.” Soap stated grabbing the door handle.
“Well let’s hope it won’t come to that.” Ghost muttered as he nodded to Soap.
Slipping out of the car, Johnny rolled his neck knocking on the door. Once it opened the man was taken back by how attractive you were though he finally noticed a three year old clinging to your leg.
“Can I help you?”
“Yes?”
“Y/n Graves? I’m here on behalf of your husband.”
Your eyes went wide for a moment, you started to panic. “W-what’s wrong with Phillip.”
“Nothing! It’s nothing. I am just sent here to bring you too him.” Johnny explained rubbing the back of his neck.
“Okay…do I need to get a bag?”
“Nope! You two are just fine.” He smiled as you gave him a look as you lifted your son up.
“Okay…”
Watching as you walk towards the car, a sigh of relief escaping your lips.
At least you were safe.
+•+
Graves sighed closing his eyes with relief, hearing you were safe, he couldn’t help but relax though seeing the computer blink the man quickly fixed his position answering the call. “Sir.”
“You disappoint me Graves…but I should have learned when you ran off to help those men. It’s a shame it has to come to this you were a damn good solider.”
“I do-.”
Getting cut off, Phillip felt a blinding pain in the base of his skull.Falling to the ground he could fell the blood tricking down the side of his head. Everything was spinning though he didn’t have a chance to get up due to the kick to his stomach.
“Such a fucking pussy Graves…Can’t even follow an order.”
Spitting some blood on the ground, Phillip let out a scoff. “So they sent the lap dog…hehe…hate to break it to you Cater but they know.Have fun trying to kill Ghost.”
The man Cater, knelt down infront of Graves’s his hand grabbing his hair. “You just don’t know when to shut the fuck up…I’m going to find them and then I’ll find your wife…I’ll have a lot of fun with her.”
“Don’t you fucking touch her, I’ll fucking kill you.”
Glancing at the gun in his hand the man let out a sigh. “You’re not in the best position to be making threats…night night Graves.”
Taking the but of his gun he knocked Phillip out, turning to his men he nodded to the unconscious body. “Get him out of my sight.”
+•+
Graves couldn’t count how many days he’s been here. The torture was starting to make him feel like he was going crazy. He could have been here two days, hell it could have been a week for all he knew, the only thing keeping him sane were thoughts of you and his little, knowing you were safe.
Hearing the door open, Phillip let let out a chuckle licking his lips, tasting the dry blood. “So what will it be today boys. You gonna break another finger, oh how about you put more cigarettes out on me but you know I gotta say the water boarding is my favorite.”
“You just don’t know when to shut your mouth do you Graves.”
Leaning back in the chair he let out a snort. “What can I say…it’s part of my charm.”
Clark gritted his teeth as he stepped forward pulling out a switchblade. “Tell me where the hideout is.”
“Go fuck yourself. Or better yet fuck Shepard.”
“You had your chance Graves”
Philip did his best to hold out but god he never expected for it to be this bad. A scream tore through his lips making his throat raw but deep down he knew he would take this and more, as long as you were okay, as long as his daughter was okay he could handle this.
+•+
Slumping forward in his chair, Phillip was surprised they even bandaged his eye. Hearing the door open, he closed his eyes hearing the clicking of the gun though glancing up he saw a shadow pass by and that’s when he started to laugh.
“Why the fuck are you laughing Graves? I’m about to put a bullet in your head.
“It’s nothing…I mean…I only saw a Ghost.”
The man did not get a chance to react, the room echoing with a gun shoot as he fell forward dead.
“Shit Graves.”
Looking up, Phillip gave them a bloodied smile. “Took you long enough.”
Phillip didn’t remember much after that, he didn’t remember getting tended too, nor did he remember hearing your screams, he was just tired and when you’re tired you sleep.
+•+
“You don’t have to fret over me Y/n.” Phillip was still trying to deal with the news of being blind in his eye now. He could deal with the burn wounds and scars on his body, but this, this was hard.
Sighing you sat next to his bedside, your hand holding his as your daughter fell asleep in his lap, clinging to him.
“I have every right to fret over you Phillip…you nearly.” Holding back tears you brought his hand to your lips giving it a kiss. “Seeing them bring you in, it killed me….I thought.” Tears now sliding down your cheeks you quickly slipped into his cot resting your head on his chest.
“I’m.”
“Don’t apologize, it wasn’t your-You’re a hero Phillip.”
Scoffing, he placed a kiss to your head. “It’s my job and if I had the choice I do it again.”
Glancing up at him you then gave him a weak smile. “Fine, your my hero…that good.”
Grinning, he tipped his head capturing you lips in for a kiss. “Now that I can take.”

It’s Too Late - Bakugou Katsuki
Bakugou x f!reader
Warnings: angst, cursing
Summary: You’ve always made it clear to him about what you feel for him. It’s always been known so you’ve never had to say it. Until months had passed and yet nothing’s been reciprocated or cleared up on his end. He didn’t express any emotions of desire or love towards you so when you finally confess, you get an answer you halfway anticipated. And when it breaks you and you move on, finally taking 1 step forward, Bakugou comes back and pushes you 2 steps back.
BAKUGOU’S MASTERLIST
“I just-“
“Love me?” Bakugou said with a raised brow and his hands in his pockets. “You love me? Is that what you’re gonna say?”
“..Yes. I love you, Katsuki.” You openly confessed to your best friend with a tired voice. You and Bakugou had been friends since childhood. You grew to love him as a friend, then a best friend, but now you wish to have him as a significant other. You’ve always been clear about your feelings. Telling others you liked the blonde, putting in a little extra effort to show some comfort and affection, or even just canceling everything for him. But you never said anything specific until now.
Your best friend continued to stare at you with a blank face. You were almost offended by it but you saw the gears in his mind trying to move. He was trying to say something but it’s like something else was stopping him. “Katsuki?”
“I don’t love you, Y/N. Why you think I would is ridiculous.” His words made you grow shock. He was lying now? You get it. This whole confession wasn’t cute or anything similar to what you would see in a cartoon. There was no blushing from either ends, no smiles. This was holding a dark element of hurt but you hoped that despite all that, he would still be able to find the light you always brought with you, just for him.
“…I know you love me too, Katsuki.” You said calmly.
“Don’t tell me what I feel.” He responded in the same cold tone but with a little more harshness.
“I’m just saying the truth. It’s the one thing you seem to be running from. I’ve accepted it, I’ve embraced it because I want it. I know you do to so why can’t you just admit it?” You asked before a block of silence filled the dialogue. “….I know you told Kaminari you love me.”
“That spark plug heard me wrong.” He defended.
“You also told Kirishima you love me too.” You added on. “You tell Kirishima, you tell Kaminari, you tell everyone and anything but me. Why can’t you just tell me?”
Bakugou looked at you in silence before squeezing his eyes shut in frustration. Frustration and anger with himself. Why couldn’t he just man up and say it to you? Why couldn’t he tell you? You were right here letting him know exactly how you felt! Letting him know you felt the same way he did so why wasn’t he saying anything to help?!
“You can’t run. You have to stay and hear it out ‘till the end.” You began making his shut eyes tremble. “Bakugou Katsuki. I love you. I love you so much that it hurts when you just walk away from it. So tell me what I know. Tell me you love me back so that everything we went through, the gossip, the lies, the secrets, everything will have been for something. So that we could end up right here where we are now with a purpose and happy ending. Please.”
Finally, after collecting himself and coming up with an answer, he speaks.
“Maybe it was.” He said with a softer tone..almost hurt. “And maybe I did love you…but it doesn’t matter-“
“Why not?!”
“Because I don’t love you anymore. It was a crush. It was for a short period of time. I’ve moved on so maybe you should too.” He said and began to walk away. “You know Damn well feelings don’t help you achieve anything. I don’t want love or a relationship, I want to be a hero. That’s all.”
There it is. He said it. He wants to be a hero. Only if he was smart enough to say the rest. He wants to be a hero to protect you. He wants to become strong enough to keep you safe in his arms. Let him achieve this dream first so he can move on to his second dream. You. You will always be his dream. He knows he still loves you and he knows he will forever and always love you..but he’s accepted that he can’t be with you. Not yet. Let him secure everything first. Let him become a hero and make shit tons of money so he can provide for you and protect you. Let him become so domestically secure that he can give you the love he knows you deserve. Let him grow first so he can be good enough for you. Please.
He shouldn’t have disregarded you in that moment. He should’ve told you right then and there that he loved you too. He should’ve been smart enough to be able to multitask a relationship with you and his career. He could’ve done it! But now he’s here, 2 years later sneakily watching as Todoroki asks you to be his girlfriend at the hero gala he’s brought you to as his date.
As if his night couldn’t get worse. After your confession, you distanced yourself from Bakugou after his harsh replies. He’s tried to reach out to you and stay in touch but you didn’t let him. Despite that, when 2 years passed and the hero gala came up and he’s still been so in love with you, he asked you to be his date..but you said no. You said no and shut the door on him and the roses he brought to your house that day. Then when he thought it couldn’t get worse, you show up. Looking as beautiful as ever in a red dress that matched the tie of his tux and reached the ground. It had a slit in it to reveal the smooth skin of your leg. You were the pinnacle of perfection. And he was now ready to make you his. But before he could reach you, your date did. Todoroki. He stepped up from behind you and snaked his arm around your waist before moving with you deeper into the event. The sight of you two made him nauseous. But it got even worse when the night continued and the two-toned hair colored boy was pulling you to a corner and confessing to you. Nobody but Bakugou saw and it was making his blood boil. He wasn’t about to lose you to this icy-hot bastard. So before you could answer the calm hero, the blonde came rushing in and dragging you away forcefully by the wrist.
Bakugou pulled you into the empty parking lot of the event and looked at you while saying nothing.
“What the hell was that Bakugou?!” You shouted.
“That’s not my name.” He replied swiftly.
“I’m pretty sure it fucking is. Why did you bring me out here?” You asked.
“I fucking saved you from that idiot and his pathetic excuse of a confession! You’re welcome!” He shouted. You gawked at him before slanting your eyes.
“I didn’t need your help.” You said calmly. Afterwords, a block of silence returned and Bakugou couldn’t help but feel like it was that one moment all those years ago when you confessed to him. Growing tired of this, you attempted to walk back inside. “If you’ll excuse me-“
“Are you going to say yes to him?” Bakugou asked from behind you now. You turned to him, shocked at the whimper in his voice, and noticed he wasn’t even facing you. He had his back turned to you as he looked to the ground.
“I don’t think that concerns you.” You said and began to walk away. Until you felt Bakugou hold onto your arm.
“I think it fucking does!” He exclaimed. You turned to look at him in shock and noticed a fire in his eyes that you never saw before. “You can’t be his girlfriend, Y/N. You can’t be his!”
“You’re in no position to tell me who I can and can’t be with.” You replied.
“I actually am because you’re mine!” He shouted. You looked at him with wide eyes and shaky breath as you stared at him.
“W-what?”
Bakugou smiled as he took your nervousness and shaking as a sign of happiness. “You’re mine. I love you too, Y/-“
*SMACK*
“The hell-“
“Don’t you dare say you love me, Bakugou.” You said coldly.
“What?” He asked in shock.
“You had years to tell me how you felt. Before I confessed and even after! But you can’t just tell me that you love me when I’ve already happily moved on!” You shouted.
“…moved on?” He winced. You moved on? You didn’t want him anymore? Didn’t love him anymore? “W-..WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU MOVE ON?!”
“Are you fucking serious?! Why?! Because I loved you and gave you my entire being just for you to stomp on my heart-“
“You can’t move on! Not when I love you too! Not when I’ve loved you for years! Not when I’ve loved you from even before you fucking told me! That’s right!” He exclaimed as he stepped closer. “I’ve always loved you Y/N! Always! So you can’t move on!”
You stared at him and bit your cheek before turning around. “Too fucking late.”
“..N-No.” He whimpered. Without being in control, he ran to you and pulled you back before forcing a kiss onto your lips. To Bakugou, it was heaven on earth. You tasted the exact way he always imagined. Addictive and sweet. Your lips were soft. So soft. So perfect. So..you. You are heaven on earth for him.
You were surprised and infuriated by his actions so you of course pushed him off the best you could but not without a fight. The more you pushed back the tighter he held on, the more you pulled away, his lips would find yours again and steal your breath. Eventually, you ended up having to use a small amount of your quirk on him to keep him at bay. “Y/N please! You can’t be with him! Please! You have to love me! I didn’t work my ass off for years to not have you by my side in the end!”
“The hell are you talking about?!” You shouted.
“I did all of this for you! Because I love you! I didn’t tell you then because I wasn’t ready for you! You were too good for me! I had to change! I had to fix myself! And I did! I’m a hero now, I have money now, I can provide for you, love you, and take care of you now! I did this for us!” He shouted as tears trickled down his cheeks as he confessed with a smile. You only looked at him as if he were crazy.
“It didn’t matter if you were a hero or not, or had money or not. You didn’t have to change for me! I loved you because of you! And I was ready to have you just the way you were, Bakugou.”
“So please say you’ll have me now.” He begged.
“I can’t.”
“Yes you can! Y/N I’m right here. I’m not running anymore. I’m not going anywhere. Just tell me that you love me too and we can be together! Please.” He exclaimed while you shook your head with small tears pricking the corner of your eyes.
“….it’s too late now, Katsuki.”
At least in the end, you finally said his name.

A/N: SURPRISEEEEEE!! I’m back. Not gonna lie, I’m still getting over the large amounts of hate as I am still being sent them despite over a week already passing. However, the urge to write has been getting so strong and I poured out a bunch of thoughts in my head. They’ve been filling my mind and I couldn’t sleep without typing something down. Then I just couldn’t let my work sit in the drafts, I needed them to be seen for others to enjoy! So I’m back, little by little though! I’ll start posting but I might not start replying. Idk, we’ll see.
Also, but thank you to those kind supporters. I hope you know that to those who are consistent with my blog (meaning you’ve commented at least more than once) I see you and remember you all. I appreciate you all and every time I see your name pop up in my notifications I always get a little happy bc I know you all are so nice. Idia, Leona: Oh, Brother!!
I don’t know why, but Idia’s cap reminds me of Dipper Pines from Gravity Falls—
Also you didn’t hear this from me, but I was definitely not staring at Leona’s chest and shoulder in the Groovy art 😂
Imagine this...
Tumblr media
Idia stared.
He stared and stared and stared at his birthday interviewer.
Leona Kingscholar, Savanaclaw’s infamous dorm leader. Broad shoulders and muscled frame, a mess of unruly hair, a handsome face that commanded attention, striking eyes, that signature scar... And a haughty aura that just screamed “I’m an all-around pompous meathead”!
Idia knew his type.
Leona was the sort of person that walked with a lazy swagger, his pride smelted and shaped into a crown, loyal minions at his beck and call. The scar threading through his left eye gave him a foreboding look--perhaps indicating a troubled past, a wounded heart. Definitely some kind of a bad boy.
If Leona were a candidate in some cheesy dating simulator, there was no doubt in Idia’s mind that he’d be a popular pick.
The appeal of a character like Leona-shi... It’s to ‘fix’ his broken self so he can give a genuine smile... But that line of thinking is all wrong! Totally wrong! Leona-shi’s true charm points are... his fluffy ears and tail, obviously!!
Idia looked on longingly at the beastman’s twitching ears, his swishing tail. W-Would I die if I asked to touch them?
“... Oi.”
“E-Eeek! Wh-What is it?”
“Stop staring at me, you gloomy bastard. I’m interviewing you, not babysitting you.” Leona scowled. “Those sparkling, eager eyes... Tch. They remind me too much of a certain little furball. It’s gross.”
“S-Sorry! Sorry for being gross!!” Idia bounded back, putting some distance between him and his fellow dorm leader. The less he got on Leona’s bad side, the better. “But... I-I didn’t know you had a little brother too.”
“Please,” Leona scoffed. “I am the little brother. The furball I was talking about is the king’s kid.”
“E-Eeeeeh?! Th-Then... The mega-bad boy meathead Leona-shi is someone else’s little brother?!”
“... What are you going on about?” The beastman’s scowl deepened. “Is it really so shocking to learn that? I have my delicate side too, you know.”
“I-It’s just... When I picture a ‘little brother’... I-I think of someone Ortho’s age... curious and loving and everything...”
“Hah!” Leona threw his head back. His laugh was low and mocking--a tone that Idia didn’t take well to. “You’ve got some strange ideas in your head, Daikon Sprout.”
“What... What’s so funny?”
“Has the thought ever occurred to you that not all families are as closely knit as your own?” Leona’s words were flecked with bitterness. “Older siblings and younger ones... They’ll fight, they’ll disagree, they’ll grow apart from one another.”
One will rise, and the other will fall into obscurity.
“O-Of course it has... I-It’s just not something I like to think about...”
It’s not something I want to think about. Fighting, disagreeing, growing apart from Ortho... Losing him... That’s not something I ever want to think about.
“Hmph.” Leona turned his head away. His tail cracked like a whip. “It’s another year gone by. Say what you will, but the kid won’t be with you forever. Being overly attached to him will only hurt you in the long run.”
Idia’s chest twinged, heartstrings plucked by the painful reminder that, someday, he would no longer be with Ortho. Flesh and bone would never outlive metal and magic, no matter how much of a genius he commended himself to be. Idia hanged his head, hugging his arms to keep stable.
I was right. Leona-shi... he’s definitely ‘bad’.
The lion regarded the birthday boy and his slumped shoulders with a cool gaze. Pressing a hand to the back of his neck, Leona expelled a groan. “... Relax. No need to be so depressed.”
“H-Huh?” Idia’s eyes darted up. Are... Are my ears deceiving me, or did Leona-shi say something semi-encouraging just now?!
“As gloomy as you are,” the beastman continued, “it looks like the one of the few things you can afford to be optimistic about is that little brother of yours. That precious brotherly bond... I may not understand it, but don’t let my humble opinion eat away at your happiness.”
“L-Leona-shi... I-I didn’t think you had it in you to give such an inspiring speech... Sure, I guess you can be a delinquent with a black soul and no motivation whatsoever, but e-even someone like you has the capacity to be decent...”
Leona made a face. “Decent, am I? We’ll see about that.”
“S-See about wha...”
SPLAT!!
With cat-like movements--quick, lithe--Leona had snatched a pie off of a nearby table and launched it at Idia. Whipped cream splattered in the birthday boy’s face, and across his clothes. Idia’s mouth was caught in a shocked “o” before curling into a frown, his eyes turning cold and dead.
“ L e o n a - s h i . . .” He gnashed his sharp teeth, his face a mask of peak passive aggressiveness--the sort of face he usually reserved for the saltiest of gaming nights.
“Uh-oh. Looks like I’ve made you mad.” Leona didn’t sound too threatened by the prospect, instead meeting Idia with a smirk and two hands raised in an act of innocence. “What ever am I to do?”
A revenge battle to the death would soon ensue.

Psychic Wedding Time!
Tumblr media
Art by @/cowboyologist
After months of holding back, we finally tied the ole knot! Me and the conman are officially hitched today September 10, 2021!
This silly little blonde anime man means an awful lot to me and its really more than I can say. These months with him have been a great help.
When I went through some of the roughest things I've ever gone through, I had him to think about for comfort. He is a little part in what keeps me going and I wish I could thank him for everything. He sparks a lot of joy so I think I'm gonna keep him!
I've never been happier and I'm so lucky to call him husband! He's had such a positive impact and I love him so, so much.
Special thank you to my friends and of course our son Mob who carried the rings!
Under the cut is a little fic about getting ready for the wedding. Thanks everyone for your support!
Reigen squinted at his reflection, dark eyes hauntingly focused on a strand of hair that didn't take to the product he put in it. A grunt of dismay rumbled low in his throat.
"Um…Reigen?"
"Just a second, Serizawa. Almost got it."
The taller man's voice wavered but he managed to hold fast and keep his confidence. Reigen could almost hear his hands wringing.
"Er...Well. Its just...you've been staring at yourself for a little over 20 minutes now and you haven't moved and…"
Reigen sucked his teeth and pressed his palm firmly to the side of his head. Damned strand of hair! Slick like the rest of it! Don't you know know day it is?!
"What I mean is..! Are you alright?" Serizawa finally asked, his voice heavy with concern. "Since it's your wedding and all I figured you'd be nervous but you seem really on edge. Is something bothering you?"
The blonde twitched.
"W...what are you talking about? Of course not! I'm calm and-" He stopped abruptly and slammed his hands flat on either side of the mirror, his eyes wide and bloodshot upon inspection of his suit. A fleck of black thread pervaded his white vest and he looked around frantically for the lint roller. "You thought you could hide but you can't best Reigen Arataka." He muttered as he furiously went over his all but pristine wedding attire.
His best man scratched his own cheek nervously and looked on with clear uncertainty. "If you're sure."
Once he was satisfied after a thorough inspection and having Serizawa scrutinize the back, he dropped into a chair. Nearby was a table decorated in what was probably a thousand congratulatory flowers from clients. He exhaled and stared a hole into the arrangement of colors. His heart was pounding. His brow, coupled with his hands, were visibly slick with chilled sweat. His stomach was full of stones.
He met his own gaze in the mirror again. He looked well kept and yet...disheveled at the same time. Come to think of it, his face was flushed the shade of his usual pink tie. The last 3 days without sleep also hollowed out dark circles under his eyes. His shirt collar began to feel more and more constricting as time went on no matter how much he tugged on it.
Maybe he really was scared.
He didn't doubt that he loved Mitty. In fact, he wanted to be with him more than anyone. A case of cold feet wouldn't change that. It was himself he was wrestling with here.
Spirits, monsters, and deadly espers. He'd faced them all and came out on top. But they were nothing compared to these looming expectations to be a person to rely on. This wasn't something he could bullshit his way through. This was marriage. Mitty was going to see the warted underbelly of when he was Reigen the man instead of Reigen the psychic. His fiancé was going to experience sides of him he only revealed when he was alone. Would he still like him even then?
Reigen was good at a lot of things but this had to be the one that counted most. Could he really be a good partner forever?
Was he really going to cut it as a husband?
"Hey, Serizawa?" Reigen asked, not looking at him.
The man's shoulders lurched at his name suddenly being called. He straightened his back. "Oh! Yes sir?"
"Do you think we'll be good together?"
Silence sat heavily for a moment. Every second felt longer than the last.
His friend seemed taken aback by the question but nonetheless looked at the ceiling as though collecting the right words to answer. "Well…"
Another moment passed and Reigen waited with his hands clasped and breath baited.
"I've never been with anyone so I can't say for certain what a good relationship is but," A compassionate smile spread across the esper's face before he continued, visibly more sure of his words. "I think you and Mr. Mitty understand each other. You always seem to know what the other is thinking. You motivate each other to be better and you seem happy when you're together. And...and you trust each other too. And I think that's whats important."
Reigen looked at the velveted floor. "Then…"
"You've become more honest by being with him and he talks like you're really important to him. So please...get married if it makes you both happy! I think you can really be something!" His friend was beaming with
what Reigen could only say was genuine assurance.
"I really believe you'll take care of each other."
His co-worker actually really was resourceful. Maybe someday he ought to pay him more. The uncomfortable feelings waned slightly and his shoulders slowly slacked. Mitty was waiting for him so now wasn't the time to lose it.
After a few seconds of letting his feelings iron themselves out, he stood and smoothed his hands over his suit jacket. "Well alright then. If thats what you think then I guess there's no backing out of this one."
Serizawa pressed his hands together in delight. "YES! I've got your back, Reigen!"
The door into the hallway opened and a set of black eyes peered into the room. "Master, It's starting. Are you coming?"
The jarring announcement had him scrambling to fix the piece of hair he'd been fussing with.
"OF COURSE." He jabbed his thumb into his own chest to feign total confidence. "Right behind you, Mob!"
He held his breath. Alright, let's do this.
Mitty POV
Teal eyes darted around the room carefully.
"Hey...Dimple? You there?"
The whizzing of the spirit materializing buzzed next to his ear.
"Yeah whaddya want? You're on soon, aren't you?"
Mitty jabbed his right hook into the air where the voice was coming from. "AGH WHAT THE HELL?"
A swift flash of green dodged his reach.
"HEY, why are you hitting me?! You asked for ME, remember?" The ghost clucked his tongue in disapproval and floated a few inches away for safety.
"WELL MATERIALIZE WHERE I CAN SEE YOU, YOU BIG BOOGER! I'm on edge!"
"On edge? What for? You're the one who wanted this, right?"
"W..well….yeah, sorry." He looked at his clenched fist and opened it. "...sorry." He said again more thoughtfully this time.
Dimple raised a spectral eyebrow. "Whats wrong? Having second thoughts? I mean it's Reigen so who can blame ya."
Mitty scowled while straightening his tie in the mirror. "Hey! REIGEN'S…." His voice softened closer to a whisper. "A pretty good guy. Get off my case. Aren't you supposed to be my support? You're being kinda harsh!"
"Well kid, something is obviously on your mind so let's hear it. Wedding starts soon right? Yeesh. Once you do all this he's your problem forever."
"I'm not worried about him!! I'm more worried about...me."
"About you? What're you talkin' about?! You're too good for him!"
"Thanks for the flattery. You still can't have my body though."
"Well I didn't want it anyways, ya bastard. You're weak compared to Shigeo. I'm just being honest here!"
Silence.
"So? Out with it, What did you want anyways? You're talking nonsense here!"
Mitty wrinkled his nose in discomfort.  "I just needed to ask something. But you can't run your mouth off like you always do, you old gossip. You're like a knitting circle."
"TCH. like I'd blabber your business to someone. It's all so boring."
"Yeah, yeah just listen, alright?!"
Another few seconds passed. "So? Say it. We don't have all day, you know."
He was looking at his hands again like he was somewhere far off. "Well. D...D'you think I'll be good at this?"
"Good at what, exactly?"
"Being married."
Dimple's form rippled with thought. "You're seriously worried about that?"
Mitty was going to make a sharp remark but his head dropped and his face buried into his knuckles. "Yeah."
Dimple deflated slightly in exasperated defeat. Humans could be so ignorant.
"Listen. That fraud never shuts up about you. You think you're not good enough? You should hear him talk. It's annoying how you both don't realize things."
"Realize things?"
He sighed and shrugged his tiny arms. "I hear everything whether you like it or not. You two idiots never stop talking and moaning about the other is too good for the other. It's getting old, really."
"HUH? He says that? No way! But he's always beaten me at everything! I always thought he was way out of my league."
"Kinda the opposite actually but...sure. What I'm saying is…! You're both seeing the best parts of each other. Keep doing that and it'll be smooth sailing."
"Yeah but...what if he stops seeing the best in me?'
"You planning on making things hard?"
"Not really. I just know I can be difficult to deal with."
"So is he. You really think you got this far because Reigen's all roses and sunshine? 'Course not. You've seen all the stuff he does and you still like him, right?"
He certainly was flawed, that was for sure. Mitty spent most of Reigen's antics with his eyes rolled up in his head but that didn't mean he wasn't enjoying the moment either.
"Right."
"Then it's the same for him. Sure it won't always be fun but that phoney won't give up on you just because you're annoying. He's way too persistent. It kind of ticks me off."
I'm annoying???  That stung but he shook it off.
Reigen was going to have to deal with him for the rest of his life once they said the right words. But if Dimple was right...would it be so bad to annoy each other for the rest of their lives if the other was willing to put up with it?
Reigen seemed okay with it so far. Mitty would just have to listen to him make a fuss about his coffee table clutter until he died. But really, he wouldn't have that any other way. His voice was kind of cute when he hit that inhuman octave he had when he was in disbelief.
The door from the hall swung open and a blond clad in what was perhaps the most blinding and loud suit he had ever seen poked his head in.
"Oh, You're still in here? It's bad luck to be late on your wedding day! Master Reigen is waiting. " He cocked his head to the side. "Or did you need some help with your suit? Its looking a little plain."
Hanazawa. This kid would try to accessorize his suit in the worst way possible. He put up his hands to wave him off.
"N-nah, kiddo that's alright. I'll be right there."
Hanazawa, after a few more attempts to get Mitty to let him help retreated back into the hallway. When it was quiet again he eyed Dimple. He was abrasive and unpleasant. He always had a motive for everything and rarely had something nice to say.
But he came through when it mattered.
"Hey Dimple?"
"Yeah? What is it?"
"Thanks."
Dimple wouldn't meet his eyes and levitated towards the hall. He didn't want to acknowledge he was helping, he supposed. It was in character for that tsundere blob.
"You ought to get out of here now if you wanna make it on time."
He stood and dusted himself off.
"Welp. Here goes everything."

LIKE A BIG SISTER SHOULD — WHEEZIE CAMERON
in which wheezie cameron finds that blood doesn’t make you family, love and affection does.
taglist | masterlist | 2.5k words | @pogueslandia ,
warning(s): food, she/her pronouns, ward slander, a little sarah slander but that’d include reading between the lines. why’d this make me want to make a series of reader and Wheezie being best friends.
Tumblr media
There's always been a heavy feeling of loneliness that rested upon the youngest cameron's shoulders, weighing her down as it seemed to pile over the years. Her siblings were always older, an age gap between them that even if it was shortened by a few years, their worlds would still be two different things. All three of them were in three different stages of life yet somehow it felt like Wheezie wasn't even there at times.
Throughout the entirety of her schooling career so far, everything had somehow been about Rafe and Sarah. Sarah was the perfect one; the paragon who could do no wrong. Even if Sarah tried to disobey, it'd be turned around to be made out as a minute mistake. She'd probably be able to get away with it a second time if she did it a different way. Maybe the same way.
Rafe was quite the opposite. The bastard child who needed a plentiful amount of attention in hopes he can be more like the paragon. With all this attention, his head only grew. It never gave him the space for growth. It minimized the space to stay exactly where he was for years on end.
This left Wheezie to be the ostracized sibling. She wasn't a social butterfly or a poster child like Sarah and she definitely wasn't a loner or the 'damaged goods' child like Rafe. She was just... average. With average grades and an average personality. Just average old Wheezie. She told herself this consistently, watching her father balance his attention between making sure Rafe stayed between the lines he'd drawn for him in a radius such as a dart board and allowing Sarah step out of them, even erasing some of the lines so she could walk on by them without a second thought.
But Wheezie was stuck in that tiny little circle in the middle, the bullseye as if scared to move out of those lines. The one place that was the hardest to pinpoint specifically by her father. But there was one thing Ward Cameron always said correct about his younger daughter. That he wouldn't be able to pin point his little dart of control into the middle of the board because she was misunderstood and misunderstood she was.
Though one person had been able to pick up on every single one of Wheezie's emotions.
Y/n Y/L/N was a pogue who had done tutoring on the side for a little extra money and when John B had recommended Y/n for help with Wheezie's homework, Ward was quick to say okay. He hardly even asked a thing about Y/n, just telling her to help Wheezie pass eighth grade and that was all. It was made very apparent to Y/n that was Wheezie was not as much of a priority to Ward as other things were.
Their first tutoring session, Wheezie was awfully dismissive. She didn't care for any of Y/n's efforts as they sat within the comfort of Wheezie's bedroom. She just wanted the entire hour to be over with the second she'd entered her room but Y/n was insistent, knowing that by the end of the school year she would have something instilled in Wheezie's brain. She just didn't know what that something was yet.
The second time they met, Y/n was more passive aggressive in hopes of breaking down the brick walls Wheezie had stored between her and everyone else in hopes of not disappointing them like the way she thought she'd disappointed her father. Y/n sat her down in her desk chair, swiveling her chair to her as she rested her hands on the younger girls shoulders. "You are going to have a really awkward couple of weeks if you and i don't become friends so no work today. We're playing 20 questions."
That night, Y/n learned a lot about Wheezie Cameron that she never thought she'd learned. Wheezie hated the color purple, she just painted her room that color because Sarah liked that color. Wheezie loved to paint and to draw, it was her favorite activity, she just rarely showed it bevause she hadn't believed in herself. Though, when she showed Y/n the canvas' that were shoved at the back of the closet, Y/n marveled at them. But Y/n's favorite fact, and the same one that almost made her hug Wheezie on the spot, was that she was never taught to swim and Y/n made her a promise that she would teach her.
As the weeks went by, Wheezie waiting anticipatingly for Y/n's beaten down, green ford bronco to pull up on the driveway and she'd leave the house with a giant smile on her face. It’d be early in the morning, a little less than an hour until school started, just like how Wheezie liked. She'd jump in the driver seat, embracing the smell of vanilla from the scented item hanging from the rear view mirror. She’d toss her bag to the back as Y/n would ruffle her hair, just like she had every morning. "And beloved was set in... late 1856!" Wheezie answered excitedly as Y/n drove down the final street towards her school after the two had gotten breakfast together.
"Perfect! You're gonna do so good on your test, Wheeze, I promise." Y/n told her ecstatically as she pulled into a parking space. Just before Wheezie could get out, Y/n held her upper arm just to gain her attention before she got out. "Tell Rose she doesn't have to get you after school. I'll leave school early and you and I are having a girls day. No studying, just me, you and a shit ton of sweets."
Wheezie smiled, she could feel the muscles in her jaw begin to hurt from how wide she had. She tilted her head to the side out of curiosity, eyeing the look of excitement on Y/n's face. "But why?"
Y/n shrugged, adjusting in her seat and fixing her rear view mirror. "Cause, you deserve it. I'm so proud of you, Little W." She told her, looking back towards the girl and seeing her smile slightly drop. "You okay?"
Wheezie couldn't remember a time where she was genuinely told that. Yeah, sure, Ward said it a few times but it'd be in a lousy tone before he'd wave her off, saying he was busy with whatever office work he had to attend to. Sarah may have said it a few times but it was rushed before she'd run after her friends with a quick goodbye to Wheeze, leaving her alone in the sand. It was never sincere. Not in the way Y/n had said it.
She rubbed her hands against her jean clad thighs with a sharp breath before nodding. “Yeah. I've just never really been told that before. Like—Like genuinely." She said, lowly, in hopes Y/n would understand and wouldn't push it.
Y/n had known Wheezie long enough to know her tells and avoiding eye contact was one of the biggest ones. So she didn't indulge further in the conversation, brushing it under the rug but knowing she'd have to go diving back in for that little tidbit later on. Instead she wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her into a tight hug from over the console. "I'll tell you i'm proud of you everyday if i have to." Y/n muttered before kissing the top of her head. "Now go, if you're late to first period, your dad will kill me." And Wheezie was able to leave the car with a smile on her face, already looking forward to the day planned later on.
Y/n was overall consistent, it was one thing Wheezie enjoyed knowing that when she made promises she tried to keep them as best as she could. Sometimes things slipped her mind but Wheezie could recognize that Y/n didn't forget a thing when it came to Wheezie. Like she made sure to engrave bits and pieces of her into her mind like a data chart. But it showed she cared and that was enough for Wheezie.
Y/n cared enough that when she entered her car after school, the smell of her favorite cinnabon's filled the car that made her look in the backseat, seeing a picnic basket. There wasn't a chance, right? You could only get them on the mainland. She turned her body swiftly towards the elder girl who sat with a smirk on her face. "You didn't?"
"I did. Second I left fourth period, got on a ferry just for you to have those overly sweet treats." Y/n said, tapping her nose with a 'boop'! "And I almost got stuck on the mainland because of it so you better enjoy the hell out of them."
"I will, I promise." Wheezie said dramatically as Y/n smiled, pulling out of the parking space to head down to the beach. Wheezie had said she didn't have a bathing suit, not prepared for the outing, though Y/n already said she had ransacked her room for clothes for after. Y/n was the only person allowed in Wheezie Cameron's room without Wheezie being there and the elder girl took pride in it.
As Y/n set up their small area for the few hours, she noticed Wheezie standing just where the water and the sand met. She kicked around the water with clear disinterest causing Y/n to huff, hands on her hips, before tossing off her hoodie to get in. The splash she'd made by pushing herself into the water made Wheezie jump, a laugh falling from the two's lips. "Come on." Y/n said, standing and holding her hands out to Wheezie.
"Y/n/n, I can't swim."
"Y/n/n I can't swim, well, obvi, i know that, little W. But, you have your amazing best friend to keep you afloat. I won't let you go, i swear." Y/n said, holding up her pinky.
"Swear?"
"On my life." She reassured with a trusting smile before Wheezie walked further in. When the water had gotten to her above her waist, it'd freaked her out a bit though Y/n talked her through it, coaxing her further in slowly. Wheezie was kept above the water as Y/n held her hands as the buoyancy was used to their advantage. "See, not as bad as you thought?"
Wheezie shook her head though still nervous. "Not as bad, not my thing though."
"Why don't we try actually swimming? I won't force you if you don't want to and we can get back to shore right now but maybe just try?" She asked as Wheezie had to think about it for a moment. She almost felt guilty, remembing just a few months ago when Sarah had asked her if she could teach her but she refused. Though maybe, just maybe, it was because of Y/n being a bit more trust worthy that Wheezie said yes this time.
It took a while, Wheezie was frightened by letting go even as Y/n would say she was okay. Wheezie would tighten her grip on her shoulders before trying again and again until she eventually got it. She finally was able to keep herself above the water without flailing, recognizing that she was okay. Y/n cheered as she watched, not caring for the stares of others around them. "See, dude? You just have to start applying yourself! You did it!"
"I did it!" Wheezie said as Y/n hugged her, the two laughing before Wheezie screamed making Y/n's laughter die fast. "Something touched me!"
"Wheeze, it was seaweed." Y/n said softly before turning and letting her place her hands on her shoulders. "Yeah let's get you out of here before a jellyfish gets you."
Wheezie widened her eyes. "Jellyfish?"
As the sun had began to set and people had packed up their things and left, Y/n and Wheezie stayed. Wheezie was on her fourth doughy treat, even though Y/n told her to slow down two treats ago. Towels were wrapped around each of their shoulders as they watched the pretty colors fade in to one another, a mixture of pink, blue and orange array of colors combining to make a cotton candy sky. Wheezie watched as Y/n got up, accepting a phone call from Ward, the only phone call she hadn't silenced since they'd left the car.
In the time she'd left, Wheezie took advantage of it to recognize how appreciative she was of all that Y/n was doing for her. She came in as a tutor and, to Wheezie, was to stay as a friend. As family. Wheezie was more then ecstatic to have someone who would be there to rant and rave about the other Cameron's, someone she could trust with her secrets and the contents of her always running brain. Someone who was just there.
"Hey, your father would like us back in thirty so we should leave in ten." She said coming back and sitting beside Wheezie as she caught sight of her face, the lack of the smile that was there previously concerning her. "Tell me what's wrong."
"Nothing, really. Just... I really enjoyed today, Y/n. It really lets me know you're not just here for like... like the money or something."
Y/n let out a scoff. "Are you kidding? I enjoy nothing more than watching you freak out over the existence of jellyfish." She joked as Wheezie pushed her to the side with a laugh. Y/n recovered, letting out a content sigh as she tossed an arm over Wheezie's shoulders. "You're stuck with me now, Wheezes. Can't wait to record you falling at your next soccer game."
Wheezie couldn't help the laugh that slipped past her lips, leaning into Y/n's embrace as her head rested against her clavicle. "And I'll be looking for you in the stands, Y/n/n."
Y/n and Wheezie had both found out something about the other that night. Wheezie found that she didn't want to be like Sarah and she was glad she wasn't like Rafe. She was content with her own little circle on the dart board but maybe she could take a bit after her newest role model. And Y/n found that she was able to instill several things into the youngers mind including To Kill a Mockingbird, Inca Civilizations, and that she now had a true and present big sister to look up to.

NOBODY'S FOOL
Chapter #33: Breaking Ties
Word Count: 1,268 Read Time: Approx. 10 mins
[Eveline's POV]
This was a nightmare I couldn’t seem to wake up from. Sam was shouting, blood dripping to the polished hardwood floor as Travis and Riley roughly escorted him outside. Dani held Penn in her cupped hand, he looked wide-eyed, shocked, sorrowful. I leaned down to his level.
“Penn?” He flinched when I addressed him, I could see his face was tear stained, “I am so very very sorry. All of this is my fault. Are you okay? He didn’t hurt you did he?” He shook his head, casting his eyes down, “Hey...” I lifted his chin with my fingertip, “I’m gonna go fix this, okay? You’ll never have to see him again, I promise. And Penn?” He looked back up at me, eyes burning, “I’m so proud of you for standing up for yourself. He fucking deserved that.” He lit up at this. I had to force myself to pull away from him, all I wanted to do was hold him in my arms and kiss every inch of his body. But I had some business to take care of first.
I chased after the trio of men stumbling out of the club and piled into the hailed taxi with them. We zipped off to the hotel, Sam having wrapped his hand tightly in a linen napkin. Wedged between Riley and Travis in the back seat he didn’t utter a sound, but cradled his hurt hand and stared at the floorboards.
When we arrived back at the hotel, he burst through the door to my room, rage in his eyes. Travis and Riley stood sentinel outside. “What the fuck is wrong with that little bastard? Here I am putting my neck on the line for his ass, trying to fucking help and he ups and stabs me! What an ungrateful little shit!! He made me look like an idiot!” The wound had seemed to stop bleeding. He was pacing like a madman.
“Sam. Sam—“ I stepped in front of his path, hands pressed into his shoulders, “We can’t— I can’t do this anymore…” he stopped dead in his tracks.
His brow furrowed, he smiled, disbelieving, “W-what? Ev… what’re you--? Are you… are you breaking up with me, right now?” I sighed. In spite of everything that had just happened and my certainty in my choice, I still felt bad hurting him. He shook his head, pulling away from me. His eyes alighted on the hundreds of drawings strewn around my bed. Normally, I would’ve felt a pang of guilt about having left these out, but not anymore.
“What the—?” He whispered more to himself than to me as he lifted a page up to look at my work, “Got an awful lot of pictures of the little pipsqueak here…” his tone was accusatory. I crossed my arms over my chest. “Wait… don’t tell me…. This—“ he waved the image around, clenched in his hand, leaving rusty blood stains where his fingers made contact with the paper, “This isn’t the reason why you’re… no!” He laughed, waiting for me to reply. I didn’t. His smile was cut short, “Eveline… no way. Come on! Him? Really? That little tiny… nothing? He’s a pet, Ev. A fucking pet! What the fuck is wrong with you? I mean how does that even work? How is he going to take care of you, hm? Answer me that. What does he have to offer? Fucking nothing! He can’t provide for you. How are you not seeing what I am?? Babe, I’m your family… ”
I stepped forward and pulled the drawing out of his hand, placing it gently back on the surface of the bed, “I’m going to have to ask you to leave…”
I watched as his eyes burned in pain, he was shocked, hurt. “Eveline… c’mon, you’re not thinking straight—“
“Get the fuck out of my life, Sam!” Then, something flipped like a switch. He rolled his shoulders back and even managed a small smile.
“Okay, Eveline. If that’s what you really want. I’ll go. I’ll get on the next plane out of here and leave you alone. I’ve always done nothing but try to give you the world, but I love you and I will respect your decision.” Okay?? Where was the catch? He seemed far too calm and certain. I eyed him suspiciously. “I’m serious. I’ve always wanted what’s best for you and if you think this is best, then fine. I just want you to find happiness.” He leaned forward, his hand on the back of my head, he gave me a soft kiss on my temple. Wow. That was so much easier than I’d expected. I didn’t know what to say.
He seemed so strangely serene that all I could think was that maybe he was numb or in denial or something. But in any case, I’d gotten precisely what I wanted and pretty painlessly too! I breathed a sigh of relief as we both walked to the door. We hugged for a final time before Riley and Travis escorted him to get his stuff, bandage his wound, and drive him to the airport. As they all three walked away, Sam never turned over his shoulder, but Trav did. He nodded at me, as if to applaud me for doing the right thing.
************
I sat quietly in Dani’s lap as she lounged on the bed in her room. She softly brushed my hair with the tip of her finger. We didn’t say anything, and I was grateful for the peace and quiet. It took me forever to bring my heart rate down after such a fucked up experience. I didn’t know what to feel. I kept thinking about the girl we left behind, the deal we’d lost, the enemy I had made. Did Eveline mean it when she said she would fix the situation? Was she leaving him? I would rather die than spend another moment with that horrible man.
Just then, a knock at the door. She held me in her palm as she crossed to open it. Eveline. “May I come in?”
Dani moved out of the way to welcome her inside. I was still angry with the beautiful woman with the stormy eyes, but seeing her free of him admittedly allowed me to breathe a little easier in her presence. Dani set me down on the surface of the bed, soft and comfortable. I sat back with legs splayed out before me, leaning back on my hands. The two women curled up on the floor, propping their elbows up on the bed to be level with me. Eveline just looked at me for a long while. We had been so distant for what seemed like so long that the sensation of taking each other in felt foreign. Finally she sighed, “Well, it’s done. Riley and Trav are taking him to the airport now.” Her brow furrowed suddenly, her eyes welling with tears, “I’m so sorry… I never meant…” her sobs overtook her. Dani reached out and placed a hand on Eveline’s trembling shoulder. I scurried to my feet and crossed to the edge of the bed. I threw my arms around her wrist, pressing my body into her.
“Hey, it’s okay…. Eveline you couldn’t have known… it’s not your fault.” She froze, tears streaming down her cheeks as she locked eyes with me. Her eyes watered even more at my words, as she placed a hand, tentatively at first across the length of my back. This was the first time we’d really touched each other since that incident in LA. I squeezed her more tightly, “It’s not your fault.” She burst into tears, picking me up and holding me against her pounding heart.

a/n: based on this request!! it’s a lot different than libido in terms of like, content lmao, but the situation is similar sort of?? idk hopefully it’s not completely terrible bc i felt like i was a bit rusty writing this?? also excuse my overall writing ability and bad grammar <333 also there’s like a little tiny bit of fluff at the end!!!
Tumblr media
“Give up already!”
Ground Zero barks, threatening sparks emitting from his palms. He was standing a few feet away from a woman, hysterical and clearly enraged by something he honestly didn’t care enough about to remember. Something about a cheating husband, maybe? Whatever, one thing he did know was that this lady just stabbed a guy in the middle of a popular park and if he didn’t hurry the poor cheating bastard would be dead soon.
The woman pressed her heel into the victims chest, he yelped pathetically in response. “I said get away from me! This son of a bitch is going to get everything he deserves!”
“Not happenin’ lady. Bastard or not you can’t just fucking stab people because you feel like it!” Ground Zero snaps back, he shifts his weight forward.
“He has to pay! I’ll make him pay!” She screams, turning the knife in her hand, her heel digging further into the victims chest, it was becoming increasingly apparent that Ground Zero had to make his move soon.
“Shut up and listen! Drop the knife or you’re gonna end up worse than that asshole!” He threatens, muscles tensing, ready to explode forward and overwhelm the woman if she didn’t comply.
“I’ll slit his goddamn throat don't you da-” She’s interrupted by your hand gripping her wrist bending it backwards in an unnatural direction. The movement makes her cry out and drop the blade. She tries to take the knife back but a swift jab of your elbow to her nose sends her reeling backward onto the floor.
“You bitch! That really fucking hurt!” Her hands grip her face, trying to suppress the heavy flow of blood now streaming from her broken nose.
“Shut up! You should have listened to me when you had the chance!” Ground Zero is suddenly beside you, he extends a fist and you meet it with yours, resulting in a friendly fist bump. “Nice elbow, Rookie.” He comments, impressed.
“Nice diversion.” You reply, leaning down to restrain the woman. “The police will be here soon so we should help-” You’re interrupted by a strange purple mist clouding your vision.
“What the hell is this shit?” Ground Zero asks, fanning his hand in front of his face, trying to push away the mist. “Her quirk?” You suggest, landing a quick precise blow to the woman’s neck, incapacitating her. The mist dissipates, having only reached you and the other hero.
“Hope it’s not some kind of defensive response. Like poison or something.” You worry for a second before standing, waving the remaining fumes away. “It’ll take more than some fucking purple bullshit to kill me.” You squint your eyes at him, an amused smirk finding your lips. “That sounds like something someone who gets killed by purple bullshit would say.” You quip, amused despite the looming danger of being exposed to an unknown quirk. A devious smirk finds his lips.
“If it kills me, it’s killing you too so I guess I’ll see you in hell, asshole.”
----------------
“They said they’ll get back to us once they figure it out. Also they said we can go home but we have to stay put, since we feel okay, oh, and also to call if we suddenly feel like we’re dying.” You explain, clicking the comm. in your ear off.
“Great. So we can die at home instead.” He mocks, rolling his eyes. You lift your arms above your head to stretch them, sore from a day of hero work. “I’m perfectly fine with going home early, maybe I won’t die and I can catch up on laundry.” You move past him toward the locker rooms, more than ready to change out of your hero costume.
“Oi, Rookie!” He calls out.
You turn to face him, still walking backwards toward your destination.
“Good work today.”
You can feel your cheeks heat up at the compliment.
-----------------
Once you finally changed into your civilian clothes you walk into the lobby, distracted, hand in your purse fishing for your phone. You smack into something hard. “O-ow.” You mumble, scrunching up your face in discomfort, hand reaching up to rub your nose trying to alleviate some the pain.
“Watch it, Rookie.”
The voice is familiar and you realize you’ve hit a person. More specifically, Ground Zero. Or Bakugo, as you knew him when the two of you weren’t busy being heroes. “Bakugo, sorry I was-” You un-scrunch your face so you could see properly. You should have closed your eyes and ran away instead because the sight in front of you would prove to be too much for your stupid brain to handle.
He stood before you, bag slung easily over his shoulder, the fabric of his expensive looking dress shirt clung perfectly to his impressive chest and biceps. Your eyes trail down the length of his lean body, his other hand shoved into his dress pants, perfectly ironed, and the way they showed off his thick powerful thighs nearly had you drooling. It’s becomes painfully obvious that you’re ogling him.
You’d forgotten there was a staff meeting earlier that morning and he was dressed nicer than usual. Yet, you’d seen him before all dressed up like this, so why was the sight of him making you feel hot now?
“My eyes are up here, pervert.”
His gruff voice snaps you out of your trance, you snap your head up to meet his fierce stare. Your entire face now covered in a thick blush. “I-I wasn’t looking at anything-” You lie, pushing past him. He takes a second to do some looking of his own, his eyes fixed on the swell of your ass as you walk away from him.
You stand impatiently outside the agency, fiddling with your phone, trying to push the image of Bakugo’s perfect body our of your mind. You take a quick look over your shoulder, making sure the blonde hadn’t followed you out. The sound of a honk made you turn attention to the company car that pulled up ready to take you home and save you from your own embarrassment.
Sliding into the backseat you offer a nervous smile, “S-Sorry thank you-” You’re interrupted by the force of someone pushing you into the space of the empty seat next to you. “Move over, Rookie.” The voice makes you tense, and you lose your balance falling back awkwardly into the empty seat. Your hands moving to tug the hem of your skirt down as not to expose yourself.
“W-What?” You sit up properly, adjusting in your seat. “Get your own car.” Your tone laced with false confidence immediately ruined by his ruby orbs peering down on you.
“Quit whining.” He snaps, shoving you further over with his large frame. “Drive.” He instructs and to your horror the car starts moving. You push against him with both hands, shoving him back over to his side. “Keep your dumb giant body over there.” He lets out an amused ‘tch’ and leans back in his seat. A stretch of awkward silence fills the air and it takes a second for you to relax in your seat.
There’s an obvious tension between you two, it’s thick and heavy and it makes Bakugo’s chest tighten. He decides against his better judgement, to find out if you were feeling just as fucking needy as he was.
Bakugo keeps his attention fixed on the window, but experimentally spreads his legs, his knee hitting yours. You take the bait like a fool. Shifting away from him, your mouth opens to lecture him about personal space but your jaw snaps as your eyes fix on the prominent bulge in his slacks. It finally dawns on you that he’s not even hard, he’s just that big.
“Shit-” You mutter out loud. Panic covers your features at your sudden lack of filter and you force yourself to look up, not surprised that Bakugo’s glaring down at you. “Keep looking at me like that, Princess, and i’ll get the wrong idea.” The pet name makes you rub your legs together in anticipation, why were you being so desperate right now? Suddenly, you felt the overwhelming urge to rip those stupid pants right off of his body and slip his cock in your mouth.
“I’m not!” You blurt out the obvious lie, covering your flushed face before smacking your head on the window in a feeble attempt to physically knock the sinful thoughts out of your mind. You were finding it increasingly difficult to focus on anything but the man beside you, he let out a dark chuckle at your embarrassment.
You glance over again and he rolls his hips slightly, purposefully, as he notices you sneaking another peek. “Oi!” He grips your face in his hand, roughly squeezing your cheeks together, you whimper at his force and you see his eyes widen a bit at the sound.
“What did I just fucking say, Princess?” You move your hands up to pry at his wrist to loosen his grip but he won’t budge. Your eyes betray you and you look down again. You swear his pants are even tighter then before and your tongue rolls out of your mouth at the sight, practically salivating.
“Oh fuck-“ Bakugo groans unable to keep himself from shoving his fingers into your open mouth. Your mouth shuts immediately and you begin to suck harshly against his slender digits. “Shit, you’re so fucking needy.” He began rhythmically pushing his fingers deeper into your mouth, eliciting a gag as he reached the back of your throat. You were actually drooling now, all over yourself and his hand, but you continue to take his fingers greedily. They actually tasted better than you could have imagined, they had a slight sugary sweetness to them.
Pulling his fingers from your warm mouth, he watches as excess saliva drips out, you unable to stop it due to his vice grip on your cheeks. His gaze darkens at the sight and he’s looking at you with a hungry need that makes you rub your legs together. Leaning forward enough to feel his breath fan your face, he smirks darkly, chewing his bottom lip in anticipation.
“Such a mess for me already and I haven’t even touched you yet.” He teases, his nose brushes against yours and you lean forward, whining when he pulls back just enough that he’s just out of reach. You clutch the fabric of his dress shirt in both hands, trying to pull him closer to you. “Bet you’d like that huh, Princess?” he asks, and you can’t help but nod like an idiot. You feel his grip on your face loosen a little.
His tongue lolls from his mouth slightly, per his instincts and he leans in, unable to control himself any longer, ready to taste that cute mouth of yours when the driver clears his throat rather loudly.
The two of you freeze, hyperaware of your surroundings. Bakugo pulls his hands away and you nearly fall forward.
“We’ve arrived, Miss.”
You wipe the spit off of your face as quickly as you can, and you stare at Bakugo in horror. “I-uh-” Your brain fails you as you try to form coherent sentences. Grabbing your bag from the floor you scramble out of the car shouting a ‘thank you’ to the driver as you leave Bakugo in the car alone, with his lewd thoughts, raging hard on and a very polite driver.
It takes him a second to snap out of his daze fully and by then he’s already a few blocks down the street. “Fuck-” He grips the passenger and driver side seats and leans forward so he can see the driver. “Stop the fucking car.” The driver looks confused, “S-Sir?” Bakugo is looking over his shoulder through the backseat window and the tightening in his chest worsens as he continues to get further and further away from your apartment.
“I said stop the fucking car.” He snaps again and the driver begins to slow the vehicle down to stop. But Bakugo being the impatient little shit that he is exits the car before it can even stop properly leaving the driver thoroughly annoyed and maybe a little bit flustered.
He starts a normal pace once he’s out of the car but it’s not long before he breaks out into a full sprint toward your place.
You’re clutching your chest, trying to calm yourself, but the urge to slip your hands between your legs to relive some tension overwhelming you. Every time you try to think of something besides the goddamn porno scene in the car your brain throws it right back at you.
Just as you hike up the front of your skirt ready to finish the job yourself when violent banging on your door makes you scream pathetically in surprise. You throw it open immediately. It’s Bakugo. Thank heavens it’s Bakugo. His face flushed, thin layer of sweat glistening in the afternoon light.
“You too?” He asks breathlessly.
“Yeah.” You respond, equally dazed.
“Fuck.” You say simultaneously.
You blink and his large hands are gripping your biceps to pull you toward himself and his lips crash hungrily against yours. He walks you both forward enough to shut the door behind him with his foot. His hands move to your waist and he spins you both around shoving you back against the door, his palms pressing against it, arms caging you in.
“What are you doing to me?” He asks, there’s a mixture of jest and seriousness in his voice. He tugs his dress skirt collar open exposing more of his neck and chest in an attempt to cool himself down.
Now he’s done it. You can’t help yourself any longer, and you lick a hot stripe up his neck, before doubling back to pepper desperate kisses against it. A low throaty groan escapes him and your fingers fumble as you begin to unbutton his dress shirt completely. He watches as you undress him, his tongue darting from between his lips wetting them before he leans down to capture you in another needy kiss.  Shrugging the shirt off of his body, he begins to unbuckle his belt.
You pull back for air, eyes wandering to his clothed member, eager for to see him, to taste him. He can see it too, the want, the need in your eyes. It matches the look in his own, vermillion and glassy. Your self control wavers again and you drop to your knees pulling his slacks down with a few good tugs, they were as tight as they looked.
Finally, his cock is free and of course it’s bigger than you thought, you take a moment to admire it before slipping it into your mouth. He hisses at the sudden warmth, both hands tangling into your hair, the dull pain against your scalp elicits a moan and you feel him shudder as he tries to compose himself.
“Couldn’t wait to suck my-” His breath hitches, an unintentional whimper falling from his lips as you move to take the entirety of him, cheeks hollowing as you greedily suck his cock. His hips rut involuntarily and you gag around him, the feeling of your throat around his aching cock almost send him over the edge.
Your movements are desperate and sloppy, moaning and mewling against him like his cock is the best thing you've ever tasted. You make eye contact and notice he’s having a hard time keeping his cool. His face flushed a dark pink, panting, low groans falling easily from him lips.
You’re honestly quite pleased with yourself.
With a sharp tug he pulls you off of his dick, excess saliva drips from your mouth and you look up at him confused. He presses the pad of his thumb against your tongue and you open your mouth wider for him.
“You’re being such a greedy little slut.” He comments, a smirk finding his lips, his hands move to grip the front of your dress shirt and he pulls you up off of your knees, tearing the shirt in the process. The second you’re standing he pulls you into another kiss, hot and blistering. His hands searing against the plush skin of your chest, he lingers at the lacy cups of your bra before activating his quirk just enough to burn the fabric away.  The sound startles you a bit but the feeling of his hands expertly kneading at your breasts makes it hard to concentrate on anything else.
He pulls one hand away replacing it with his lips, when he pulls away to give your other side the same attention his teeth lightly drag against the tender bud forcing a moan to spill from your lips. Your fingers dip down under your skirt to give your mess of a pussy some much needed attention. Your frustration is only made worse when Bakugo catches your wrist in his hand.
“Did I say you could touch yourself, slut?” He growls, you look up at him, still trying to pry your hand out of his grip. “Then you touch me.” You command weakly, voice dripping with want.
He can wait, he can. He’s trying to act like he’s completely in control. Like he isn’t burning up with desire, like he can hold out a little longer.
He can’t.
“F-Fuck.” He spins you around, pinning you against the door, thankfully you were able to put your hands up to keep from slamming your face into it. He pushes your skirt up and it bunches at your waist, you hear a loud ‘rip’ and he’s tossing what’s left of your panties on the floor. He teases the head of his cock along your dripping slit, you wiggle your ass impatiently.
He finds purchase on your hips before sliding into your soaking core. “S-So fucking tight, shit..” He mumbles to himself. You cover your mouth stifling a groan as you feel his cock stretch you out. His fingers dig into your hips harder and you’re certain they’ll bruise. He gives a shallow thrust, and you bite your lip to suppress another moan. His hands move to grip your arms where they bend, pulling them back toward him.
“I want to hear those dirty little moans, Princess.” You can't see his face but you can hear him smirking. You don’t have time to object as he begins thrusting into you, his pace brutal, your legs nearly buckle beneath you. But he’s strong enough to keep you steady. It doesn’t take very long for your orgasm to sneak up on you, each drag of his cock only worsens the feeling of impending pleasure building inside you. “I’m so close..” You whimper breathless, and he adjusts his grip. Both of your wrists are in his hand now, still trapped behind your back, his free hand moving to rub messy circles into your puffy clit pushing you closer and closer to your release.
“Cum for me, cum all over my cock like a good little slut.”
His skillful and calculated thrusts, mixed with his fingers teasing your clit and his permission to cum overwhelm you. “F-Fuck, Bakugo!” Your orgasm washes over you more violently than you were expecting, you’re a mess, whining and moaning incoherent praises. The feeling of you constricting so perfectly around his cock has Bakugo not far behind you, he releases your arm, and it hurts to move them, but you press your palms flat against the door as he adjusts himself his grip returning to your hips, his thrusts become more sloppy and erratic as he’s coming undone.
“S-shit, Princess, I- haah- I’m close.” He nearly whines, you begin to push back against him, doing what you can to match his movements. “Cum inside, Bakugo.” You command, your voice is smooth and breathy.
“Fuck-” You groan in unison as he fills you with hot ropes of cum, he falls forward a little, one hand on your hip the other against the door to steady himself as he rides out his high, his hips still gingerly thrusting into you. When he’s finished and you’re satisfied and full, he slowly pulls out, hissing at the overstimulation.
You both take a moment, still processing what happened. Bakugo lets out an amused huff of air and your glance over your shoulder.
Well this was new.
Sure, Bakugo knew his recovery time was amazing but never instantaneous. You glance down nervously at his still fully hardened cock, eyes widening at the sight. You dare to meet his gaze, hazy and piercing.
Without warning, Bakugo slides two fingers into your still dripping cunt, you whimper, pressing against the door with more force. He chuckles darkly and it matches his devilish smirk. You were suddenly hit with the realization that your night was far from over.
“I’m going to fucking ruin you, Princess.”
 BONUS:
The two of you lie in bed, exhausted and completely fucked out. You’re nearly asleep, resting comfortably on Bakugo’s firm chest as he rubs slow, soothing circles against your soft skin.
It’s interrupted by your phone, the loud ring tone makes you both cringe. He reaches to answer it, you open your mouth to object partly since it’s your phone and partly because the loss of contact but honestly you’re too tired to truly argue about it.
“Y/N’s phone.” He answers, voice slightly hoarse.
“Oh yeah?” He glances at you with a smug smirk.
“I think we’ve figured that part out-” You put two and two together and realize it's probably someone from the agency informing you on the unknown quirk you were both hit with earlier.
“Yeah, thanks for nothing.” He says his tone slightly irritated.
“One more thing, have whatever paperwork I need to document a workplace relationship on my desk in the morning.” He instructs and hangs up the phone. Your eyes widen a little and he thinks it’s cute how hopeful you look.
You chew your lip a little, “Is that paperwork for us?” You ask weakly, and he rolls over so he’s on top of you, arms caging you in.
“Of course it is, stupid.”
Your nervousness disappears the moment his lips meet yours.

Okay for supernatural/demon lads and ghosthunting MC though.... imagine one of their haunted house sleepovers. The guys torn between scaring off the actual hauntings and *also* liking the way MC snuggles up close when spooky sounds and blips on her camera/sound equipment/etc happen.... Maybe a ouija board session at the witching hour where some narc ghost tries to warn her about three demons clinging to her >:Dc
WAAA omg. omg. omg this gave me an idea i had to-
“... The collapse of the roof in 1755 crushed 4 residents of the asylum.” You were deliberately using your spookiest voice, drained of all but the bare essentials of emotion to get the point across, flashlight in hand. “Since the accident they’ve cleared the damage and fixed the ceiling... but some say the spirits of those killed still wander the halls today, trapped not by rubble... but by the pain that binds their energy to this location.”
You were still amazed at how steadily Skull could hold a camera. Whenever you looked through footage, even the stuff taken when he was walking, it was as if you had it on a professional electronic rig... you honestly had no idea what you’d do without him. It was pretty damn cold in the building, as it was completely derelict and abandoned, with no windows to furnishings to retain heat- only the concrete foundations remained.
“Visitors to the site have reported tapping on the walls, footsteps, shadows in the corridors, and the smell of brick dus-”
At the sound of tapping very nearby on the old plaster asylum wall, you spun around in shock, shining your flashlight...
... On Red, who was grinning like a bastard, rapping his phalanges on the wall.
“... s’pretty sturdy for an old ass wall.” He purred, pulling an ‘innocent’ face and putting his hand back in his pocket.
“hearing creaks and smelling dust in an old building.” Sans said, with his usual unbothered smile, like all this was just a bad haunted house attraction. “shocking. must be ghosts.”
“Oh, sure, act smug now, you’ll be apologising later when I get paranormal activity on camera.” You mumbled, deliberately shining the light into his face for a moment. You removed your spirit box from your pocket, ignoring the little joking vampire-like hissing sound he made.
The spirit box was your prized possession, your favourite method of communicating with spirits. It was a small black device that somewhat resembled an old walkie talkie; its purpose was to rapidly cycle between radio stations, producing static noise that ghosts could communicate directly with you through. It sounded sharp and horrible and always made the ugliest jittering sound, but even just holding it in your hands made you feel more and more excited.
“... I’ve got a device in my hand.” You said, addressing the room, the building... this was the part you never got over. The part where you spoke directly into the darkness that somehow seemed both smoggy and veil-thin, the part where you could almost feel the unseen eyes in the area turn to you. A shiver ran up your spine... you were certain that if you weren’t flanked by the comforting presences of Sans, Red and Skull, you’d chicken out before you could capture any video. “It’s going to play static that’ll allow you to communicate with us. If you want to, please speak, tell us what happened here.”
“geez. i hate this thing...
... You turned it on. Sans pulled a face, but didn’t make any of his usual complaints, which you appreciated. You stood there, waiting, all four of you staring at the device in your hand... it usually took a little while for something to come through so you weren’t expecting-
“ - - D E M O - N S -”
It blurted out of the box, clear as day, the clearest voice you’d ever heard coming from the box with only a slight jitter from the skipping. It sounded like a man. You jumped, your chest and your eyes widening- “Oh my God... I- what did it say? Did you say demons?”
“- E M O N S - - - I - N - -”
Your hands were shaking- he repeated it. Your full attention was on the box now, your heart was starting to pound. “There are demons here? In the building?”
“- YES-”
It was the same voice, giving you clear replies! This was huge! You couldn’t believe it! You were holding the box like it was a winning lottery ticket, just about losing your mind. “What’s your name? Tell me your name.”
“- -  PLE A S E -”
You didn’t see the expressions on the guys’ faces. You didn’t notice Red and Sans slip away into the dark, too exhilarated to be expecting their usual cutthroat humour and cynicism.
"Where are the demons? Are they in the building? Can you tell me where they are?”
Something came through the box, but it was too mangled by the static, too impossible to make out. “What did you say? Say that again!”
“- W - - TH -” It was like something was interfering with the transmission. “W I T H - Y O U.”
... What?
“... With me?”
“ T H E - S K E L E T - ”
... It turned off.
...
Everything turned off. Your fully charged torch went dead, Skull’s torch went dead, the camera's lights blinked out. Suddenly, all the noise in the world had vanished... it was so, so deafeningly quiet...
... and the only light was Skull’s blood red iris, staring at you.
...
“... All the stuff just...”
... You looked around the room, trying to see something in the murky darkness, as if searching the shadows for a reason for the sudden powercut to all your individual devices at once.
“... something wrong?” Skull asked.
His voice was incredibly gentle.
... It was as if a cloud descended over your mind. Suddenly, just like that, you felt like you’d been plunged into a dream. Nothing seemed... real. You couldn’t think, you couldn’t process... a horrible wave of dizziness accompanied the cloud, creeping over you, prickling at your temples and muddying everything that was going in and out of your brain.
“I-I...” You stopped being able to feel your hands or your death grip on the useless flashlight. The pitch black room was beginning to spin, slowly... “I don’t...”
“hm?”
“Where’s...” Your eyes were darting about. Pounding head, like it’d been stuffed full of cotton... your lips weighed too much, it was hard to speak. “Where... Sans... Red...?”
“... shh... it’s okay.”
A big hand softly closed over yours. You knew Skull had big hands, that was something you loved about him... but the one that held you was huge. Your tiny appendage was swallowed whole by thick bones with long, cruel claws... it felt like him, but it didn’t... feel like him...
... What’s going on? Where am I?
... The hand gently led you closer, easily moving you like you were little more than a confused child. His eyelight was in view... his huge, red eyelight... your own eyes were stinging, strained, wide and afraid. The other hand moved close to you but you didn’t even have the presence of mind to flinch as it gently brushed hair out of your face... you just stared up into the eyelight.
He had horns. Skull’s silhouette had huge, curved horns.
“it’s alright.” He murmured, cupping you like a precious baby bird. His voice had become distorted, warped... and even in your state of delirium, you were certain it wasn’t from the headache. “you’re with me. you can let go.”
The dizziness was becoming too much to bear. You couldn’t even focus on his iris anymore, you couldn’t see, you were either going to pass out or be sick. The distant sound of your flashlight hitting the floor... You pressed your eyes shut to relieve the aching, and tried to say something, but it was just a bleary mumble...
“that’s it.” He purred, the hand holding yours instead moving to your back to support your swaying body. You couldn’t open your eyes again... you didn’t want to. It felt so much nicer closed, the discomfort was muffled. “don’t need fight. none of this... ever happened.”
... You were vaguely aware of him catching your tipping body and scooping you up into his arms before everything went completely dark.

what i (mod li) hate about you: classpect edition
Light: you motherfuckers think you know so much huh. it doesnt even matter if youre insecure about yourself the fact remains that on a subconscious level you think you are smarter than any given person in a room and that pisses me off
Void: you also think youre smarter than the people around you, but in a mysterious, shifty way. that pisses me off
Time: you people are ALWAYS down to throw down. just fucking chill out alright just calm down. when im in the vicinity of another time player we have this little thing called a "race" where we both have to walk faster than the other or we die. as you can see im still here. there are bodies in my wake
Space: i want to strangle you people. youre so weirdly passive. if i want to go to a place you guys will be like yeah ok alright give me three hours NO motherfucker we are going NOW. you generally have plans. i dont. why do you do that.
Breath: every fucking thing. you goddamn airheads. if you befriend a breath player you can never be sure when youll talk to them again, because they never fucking check their messages. you apathetic bastards.
Blood: my own breath tendencies are in direct opposition to everything you people are. tradition? fuck you. community? NO bitch! the only time i like teamwork is when i am the leader of the team.
Mind: you think youre sly and clever and while youre right you have no right being that smug about it. now i understand being disconnected from your emotions but holy shit guys. you got something wrong with you
Heart: there are two types of heart players: the really emotional ones and the really emotional ones who pretend theyre not. i hate emotions. i think this one should be self explanatory
Doom: you EMO PIECES OF SHIT. i said space players are passive but you guys are on ANOTHER LEVEL. things will just happen to you guys and youll be like "ok cool." TAKE SOME GODDAMN INITIATIVE FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE. additionally ive never met a doom player that wasnt passive aggressive as fuck and oh. ohoho i hate that more than anything be direct ill kill you
Life: now this isnt universal but you people are way too chipper. youre like a fucked up combination of heart and breath players.
Rage: this is like the exact same as time players but the calm down is WAY more. youre so fucking emotionally charged all the time get ahold of yourself jesus CHRIST. maybe TALK about your feelings for once instead of growling at people
Hope: you guys think you cant die which on some level i understand because i too cannot die but the way you do it is INFURIATING. hope players are INFURIATING did you know that you just think you can do anything. your optimism is sickening
--
Mage: i dont know anything about you bitches youre so WEIRD like. the mage class is amazingly dependent on aspect so i cant even really do anything except vague curses. stop being so calm. go apeshit.
Seer: similar to light. i cannot stand you people. you think you know everything but you will not explain SHIT ever you just think you always know best because you got a good score on the sat. fuck you and fuck your sat and if you tell me what to do and what not to do because what i AM doing is "ill-advised" ill show you ill-advised and youll regret it
Sylph: STOP FUCKING DESTROYING SHIT. STOP IT. YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING. you cant cause problems and be like oh noooo i caused a problem i hate myself :( FUCKING FIX IT STOP MOPING. you people overdo EVERYTHING it is infuriating
Maid: get some self confidence. stop stuttering. if you tried believing in yourself one time youd accomplish shit but instead you just sit around wallowing in your insecurity
Bard: i dont hate you because you have trauma but i do hate you for the way you deal with it. learn to apologize
Prince: you bitches are a black hole of destruction. you think your problems are sooooo overwhelming that you drag everyone down with you. well guess what motherfucker? maybe if you stopped hyperfixating on hating yourself for two seconds and had a nice glass of milk youd start to get better
Thief: the fact that you are not me and dare to share a class with me. i am the only smug bastard allowed in the vicinity. if any others show up i take that as an immediate challenge and need to eliminate you
Rogue: i cant even do this one rogues are so goddamn different depending on aspect. like even more than mages. you are so so influenced
Knight: you think youre SERIOUS and COOL huh? you think no one knows anything about you? every single knight is deeper in denial than you could ever dream. you dont know shit and you dont act like they know shit but they sure act like something and they need to get it together
Page: most things. if we want to get specific, the insecurity, the hesitance to do things, the fact that you dont even pretend to have your shit together, the REFUSAL to improve until you experience DIRE CONSEQUENCES, the general idiocy, the list goes on. most things
Heir: ive thought about this one for a long time. i do not have any issues with heirs. like the only thing i mildly dislike about them is the fact that theyre a passive class
Witch: as much as i respect you, calm the fuck down alright

You wake up feeling sore all over your body. From top to bottom- it just feels painful. Even opening your eyes seems like a difficult task. But you somehow did.
It takes a while for you to adjust your vision although it is very dim in the room. The next thing you notice is cold fingers wrapped against yours when you try to move yours. That’s when you tilt your head very slightly and glance down to see your husband fast asleep, his free hand beneath his head as a pillow.
You want to call out to him but realize you don’t have a voice. So you result to moving your fingers several times to wake him up.
His eyebrows gather in a frown before he finally opens his eyes. When he lifts his gaze to look at you, he blinks several times.
“Y/N…?” He asks, as if unsure whether you’re really awake. Then he blinks again rapidly before leaning forward and caressing your cheeks with his fingers. “Oh God, oh God you’re really awake.”
You could almost swear that his eyes glisten a little. “You’re fine.. you’re fine..” he says repetitively as his fingers gently squeeze yours.
“W.. water..” you manage to choke out.
Jimin lifts himself immediately and quickly fetches a glass of water. You try to sit up but ends up letting out a whimper when jarring pain shoots across your shoulder.
“No, wait..” he reaches forward like he’s going to embrace you and it’s embarrassing how you feel your heartbeat starts to pick up quickly. He helps you sit up gently and arranges the pillow behind your back for you to lean back comfortably. Then he helps you to drink from your glass.
You let out a long breath once you’re finally done and your throat doesn’t burn so much. You look at your husband and he just shifts uncomfortably.
“You’re so pale.” He says and watch your face registers surprise.
“How- how long have I been out?”
“Almost a week.” He says with a clench in his jaw. Then he reaches forward again, fingers reaching up to lightly push several strands of hair behind your ear. His face is so near and your heart starts beating wildly against your ribs before suddenly the image of him carving your brother’s face and shooting him without mercy comes into your mind. Almost automatically, you jerk away from him. The whole thing had been so traumatising and you’re still very terrified of him.
He flinches when he sees you pull away from his touch like a burn. His expression hard. Then he sighs and pulls back from touching you.
Unconsciously, you pull your blanket tighter. “W-what happened to me?”
He hesitates before answering. “Someone tried to shoot me but missed and the bullet hit you instead. It grazed your shoulder.”
You touch your bandaged shoulder mindlessly. All images of the night in the warehouse then comes hitting you like a truck and suddenly it’s all too overwhelming. Your fingers grip your blanket a little too harshly. “Y- you didn’t have to kill him.” You say softly.
His expression turns furious instantly. “I did. Fullstop. And if it were to happen again, I’d do it all over again.”
You flinch at his words.
“Fuck. I’m- I’m sorry, I- I can’t let him go. Not after what he did to you.” He says softly.
You swallow thickly.
“I.. thank you for saving me..”
He lets out a sigh. “I.. just couldn’t bear the thought of you.. lying there.. you really scared me back there.”
Your gaze softens. “That’s what you do for love. Get hurt for them.. Instead of them.” The words are out of your mouth before you could stop yourself.
He looks at you in horror and you bite your lip while muttering sorry.
“No that’s not it… I..” he sigh. You watch his pained expression as he carefully chooses his words. “When we were back there.. and when those bastards touch you.. I was in rage. I.. I wanna tear them apart, limb to limb.”
“You care for me.” You say quietly. You know for a fact that he does. In his own twisted way.
He looks straight at you. “I do.”
For the first time since you wake up, you feel like crying.
“Y/N.” He calls. His expression serious and you find yourself immersed in his piercing stare. You swallow as you look at him expectantly. “Let’s.. start over. Do you want to.. start over.. with me?” He asks and it’s the first time you’ve seen him look so unsure of himself.
You continue to stare at him. A thousand words crossing through your mind but none comes out of your lips.
He swallows. “I.. I care about you. A lot. And I don’t know if this feeling is love or.. not.. but I’m gonna try.. for us.”
Is it weird that you just somehow know Jimin cares for you before he even says it out loud? It’s a foreign feeling for him but you know it better.
But for now, it’s good enough. It’s all that you could ever want. For him to open up and let you in.
Because you want to fill him with warmth and embrace every part of him.
You feel a tear dropping.
“So.. what do you say?”
And suddenly your tears turn into sobs as you frantically nod. His eyes glisten when he sees you breaking into tears and he instinctively leans forward, pulling you gently into a hug. His lips find your forehead and he kisses it tenderly.
“I’m so sorry for everything..” he says softly.
And for a long moment, he just lets you cry on his shoulders.
The doctor comes to check up on you, explains to you of all the side effects you might be having, gives plenty of lectures to your husband and you find it funny how he just sit through it like an adolescent child being told off. Later that evening, you sit in silence as you watch your husband brings you a tray of chicken porridge. You’ve fallen asleep after crying so hard and only wakes up now with your stomach grumbling.
Jimin feeds you the porridge and brings you water every now and then and you just sit in silence as you study his face.
It’s very weird to have him tending to you like this. Like he didn’t just make a killing spree which includes your own brother and the memory makes you recoil. You try to take the spoon saying you’ll feed yourself only to earn a glare from your husband.
When you’re done, he cleans it up and comes back to sit on the chair beside your bed. His fingers find you immediately and you find it weird how it feels so right and natural against yours when in fact you didn’t have much memory of holding his hands.
Unconsciously, your fingers reach to your neck to find your ring and you feel your heart dropping when you realize it’s not there. Jimin sees the look of panic in your face.
“What’s wrong?”
“My- my necklace. Oh my god, my ring-”
His shoulders visibly relax. “Ssh.. relax. It’s in a safe place.” He squeezes your fingers.
And that’s when you notice he doesn’t wear his as well and your look of terror reappear in a speed of light. He’s always worn his ring and you wonder if something went wrong. “Jimin you- you‘re not wearing your ring too oh God- oh God we’re- we’re still married right? Y-you didn’t divorce me or something right??” You ask frantically in utter panic.
He just chuckles. “Relax Y/N.. shh.. I was gonna wait till you’re better but at this rate I think you might die from heart attack. Of course we’re still married, you idiot. I.. I just thought that the rings.. is like the worse part of our marriage.. and they’re all just bad memories for you.. and I want to make it all better for you, so I plan to get new ones and wanted to keep it a secret.. but I guess it’s no longer a secret.” He grins.
You swallow as your fingers play with his, tracing the slight mark left by the ring on his fourth finger. “I… I like the rings.. it means you’re taken..”
He grins even wickedly. “Don’t worry. No one has come for my hand in marriage in the span of two days I don’t wear my ring.” He winks.
He freaking winks.
You blush crazily.
Silence settles again between the two of you before you speak up.
“I.. thought you didn’t care about me..” you say quietly.
“Is that why you went out without security??” He bursts out.
You slowly nod.
“Do you know how fucking stupid that is?” He snaps and you flinch. “Damn it, if you’d just told me.. I would’ve.. given you time.. or space from me or whatever you want. But you decided to escape security, pack your bags and leaves a stupid fucking note saying you’re sorry without any sort of explanation and then just disappears. Did you have a death wish or something??”
You blanch at his words and looks down immediately. It’s not even two hours before he says he’s trying to fix ‘us’ yet he’s here scolding you like you’re a child. “I’m sorry..”
He shuts his eyes for a moment and when they reopen he looks at you softly. “Fuck, I’m sorry for yelling too.”
You swallow bitterly. “I.. Jimin.. if we’re going to do this.. I just want you to know that I can’t share you.. I mean- I won’t.”
He stills for a few moments, just processing your words. Perhaps wondering where this is all coming from. Then he rolls his eyes. “Baby, I just talked about us.”
His term of endearment make your heart skips a beat but you still couldn’t shake the thought that has been haunting your mind. “What about Clara Kim?”
To his credit, he bursts out laughing. “You’re in a coma for almost a week and yet you still can’t forget about her huh?” He says, wiping a nonexistent tear of mirth from his eyes.
You still stare back at him, looking serious.
He realizes you aren’t laughing and just smiles as he takes your hand, wrapping it gently. “No, I’m not hooking up with her. I mean, long time ago yes,” you narrow your eyes, “sorry- but not anymore. I’ve been faithful since I married you. I didn’t sleep with her or anyone for that matter.”
You couldn’t stop the butterflies in your stomach but you still wouldn’t let it go. “Then who’s she?”
“She’s just one of the dealer in my illegal business. You.. don’t wanna know the details they’re.. dangerous.” He gives a plastic smile. “But she’s out now. I cut all sorts of business with her and she’s gone missing too.”
“Missing?”
His jaw tightens. “Because she knows I’d cut her alive if I find her.”
You blanch. Your husband really likes.. cutting people.. a lot.
“I- fuck, damn it. I’m sorry. You should probably rest before I make it worse.” He smiles apologetically.
You take a deep breath, not ready to let it go just yet.
“I- I’ve seen you.. and her in the office.”
“Oh she can be tempting.” He smirks. “Particularly when I don’t agree with her on certain things. But no- I told you I never touch anyone after I married you.”
O.. kay. You can live with that.
“I’ve said horrible things to you..” He starts.
“You did.” You respond almost immediately. All memories of him throwing words like you’re nothing to him comes flashing.
He bit back his words and perhaps wants to defend himself but thinks better of it. He runs a hand through his hair and sighs. “Why.. why didn’t you leave me..? Even when I was so mean to you..”
You just give him a soft smile before reaching to touch his hand. “You told me before.. that I would leave this marriage if I know the reason behind it.. but I know you.. I don’t know why but it just felt like I know you, not the outer appearance you put on. But you on the inside, the beautiful and kind and the attentive man I fell for. You’ve always shut people out.. including me as well.. but I just.. I just want to show you that there are people who cares for you.. that I’m never gonna leave no matter what. Because.. I love you..”
The look he gives you when you utter those words makes you wonder if his heart is skipping a beat too. He smiles at you fondly. “So what do you say?” He suddenly asks.
“Hm?”
He brings your hand to his lips and then he kisses your knuckles. “Say yes..? To this new journey with me..?”
You want to say yes. You really want to.
But there’s something heavy in your heart and it’s something that you just can’t shake off immediately. “I.. I don’t know..” you say after a while, giving up on finding the right words. “You still scare me.. a lot..”
“I understand.” He says quietly.
“Can we.. can we take it slow..?”
He looks at you for a moment and then smiles softly as he nods. “Okay. I’m not gonna rush you into anything.”
You nod as well. “Thank you.. and I’m sorry..”
He quickly shakes his head. “Don’t be.” Is all he says.
For the next few weeks, Jimin takes care of you at the hospital. It’s awkward and you feel it and you know he feels it too. It’s the way your eyes would meet when he hands you something because it isn’t something he usually do. He never does that- he never takes care of anyone, period.
It also doesn’t help how your heart races every time he comes near. Intentionally or unintentionally. And you think for the most part Jimin does things intentionally just to see you all flustered and flushed crimson.
For example, today- is one of the days you wish Jimin is the cold guy you know and not this- flirty Jimin. He walks out of the bathroom, freshly showered. He’d been practically living at the hospital with you, and it’s comfortable enough since he’d so conveniently transferred you to VIP suite room and the room is almost as big as the one you shared with him at home with a King sized bed which he could sleep into with you but he insists to sleep on the massage chair beside the bed or sometimes the couch at the near end of the room because he’s scared he might accidentally hurt you as well as personal bathroom, mini fridge and a small closet.
You gulp and silently curses your rapid pulse because your husband’s not even naked for you to react this way.
He’s just half naked.
He walks out with only his pyjama bottom, his hair still wet from the shower and you feel like salivating over his toned body. His back is vast, almost like you can lay a canvas and draw on it without a problem, and it comes down into a very muscled structure, and on each side of his waist, a V line so deeply engraved looking like a sin on plate as if it’s been carved by the sex God himself. You briefly wonder what kind of exercise he has to do to make those Adonis belt.
He turns around and you look like a deer caught in headlights and you quickly look down while clearing your throat. For a fleeting second though, you think you see his smirk but it’s gone too fast.
“Are you hungry? Do you want to eat now?” He asks, face seemingly too innocent.
You suddenly don’t feel hungry anymore. Not for food, anyway. So you shake your head. “I- I’m just gonna lie down.” Or more like, calm your freaking heart down.
“You sure? You okay? Do you want me to call the doctor? It’s about time he comes anyway-“
You’re about to say no when there’s a knock on the door. And as if he’d been summoned, Doctor Lee appears in the doorway with two others behind him. Jimin lets him in immediately while he puts on his shirt. Thank God all of them are male.
“Evening, Mrs. Park.” The doctor greets you and you just smile at him. “How are you feeling?”
“Good.”
He eyes the device to your right as he reads your chart. “Your heartbeat seems quicker than normal. Are you feeling alright? Any dizziness or particular pain you’re experiencing?”
You’re pretty sure your face is flaming red now. Jimin looking as if he’s trying to hold his laugh, his shoulders silently vibrating.
“No, no nothing. I’m fine.” You say quickly.
“I’ve looked into your charts and your recent CT scan is fine. I’ll consult with orthopaedic specialist and if everything’s fine, you should be good to be discharged this weekend. You’re very lucky the bullet just grazed your shoulder, otherwise you might’ve caused your husband to become a widower.”
Jimin hisses upon hearing that.
“I wouldn’t say lucky.” You mutter under your breath.
“It’s not a serious wound but you still need some serious recovery. You’re not allowed to do anything heavy. You still suffer from injury around your throat. Any sorts of pain, please inform me immediately.”
You just silently nod. The doctors are about to leave when Jimin calls for Doctor Lee.
“Doctor, can I have a second?” When the doctor nods, he follows him outside. What kind of question does he have that he cannot ask in front of you? You frown.
When he comes in, he sits on the chair beside you and you look at him suspiciously.
“What did you ask the doctor?”
He just gives a sly grin. “I think you don’t wanna know.”
You narrow your eyes and is about to push him for answer when he leans so close to you, and all words slip back down your throat. Your breath hitches when he hovers like he’s about to kiss you.
“You don’t look so pale anymore.” He suddenly says.
What?
He leans backward again making you all confused. His eyes suddenly darts toward your heart rate monitor and your eyes follow his gaze.
And your worst case scenario repeats; the monitor giving away your spiking heart rate.
And your husband finds amusement in confirming the fact that he caused it.
He smiles a little too widely. “Perhaps you shouldn’t really be discharged that quickly.”
“Shut up.” You glare at him and quickly hide yourself under the blanket.
The next morning, you tell the nurse to get you off the machine. She agrees to it, much to your husband’s rolling of eyes.
While you’re in the hospital, Jimin’s group of friends also come to visit.
That morning, Jimin’s spoon-feeding you a bowl of noodle although you resisted at first, only to earn a piercing glare from your husband when there’s a rapid knock on the door. Whoever it is, or are outside doesn’t seem to mind about an invitation because a second later, they barge in with total chaos. The room is instantly filled with large bouquets of flowers and fruits basket.
“God, it smells like newlyweds all over again!” Someone shouts in the midst of all the conversations erupting at the same time.
“Y/N how are you?!” Jungkook asks and doesn’t hesitate to pull you into an embrace, making you wince a little. Jimin pulls him off you instantly.
“Careful, brat.” He glares at the younger boy.
Jungkook’s eyes widen. “Oops, sorry sorry.” He smiles apologetically at you and you just smile back kindly at him.
“How are you feeling Y/N?” Jin asks, he’s already peeling off an apple for you.
“I’m feeling okay. You don’t have to do that Jin.”
He flashes a sweet smile. “Nah, this is nothing.”
“I’m really glad you’re getting better Y/N.” Namjoon says and smiles his dimpled smile.
“Jimin was really beside himself while you’re unconscious.” Hoseok chirps in.
“Yeah, saying something like being stupid or something..” Jungkook says and everybody else laughs while your husband yells at him.
“Shut up, brat.”
Then they each starts a conversation of their own with each other. Your husband discussing some things with Taehyung.
“Did you bring the files I asked for?” Your husband says.
Taehyung nods. “I’ve asked most of them to prepare written reports but there’s some that you might still have to come to the office to look at yourself.”
Jimin just nods.
“You’re planning to work from home for long?” Taehyung asks, tone is slightly hushed, perhaps not wanting you to hear yet you can still hear them.
Jimin glances at you slightly and you quickly pretend to be so interested in Jungkook’s story who’s sitting beside you, talking animatedly.
“I have to take care of my wife.” He says quietly and your heart swells from hearing that.
“Are you.. okay now with Jimin hyung?” Jungkook suddenly asks quietly beside you, taking you off guard.
You frown slightly. You remember Jimin saying only Taehyung knows about the reality of your marriage with him.
“We all know about it now. Jimin hyung himself told us all about it while you were unconscious for days.” He says.
Jin sits on the edge of your bed and hands you a slice of apple he cut and you nod at him gratefully. “Don’t blame him. I think.. he just wants the best for you that’s why he seeks us for some advice.”
You slowly nod. “He’s.. making an effort.”
Hoseok then suddenly comes to join the conversation as well. He softly calls for your name. “And we’re sorry about having you to watch all those.. you know.. back in the warehouse.”
You flinch a little. They all seem really nice, friendly and harmless. But the fact that they are a group of mafias, has more experience of killing people than you’ll ever know makes you shudder. You don’t do well with violence.
“Yeah Jimin’s too caught up in the moment. He should’ve not let you see that.” Jin says kindly.
“Or perhaps someone should’ve covered her eyes better.” Hoseok says, side eyeing Jungkook, making him puff in irritation.
“Oh come on, that’s not fair. Blame Jimin hyung for not controlling himself. He’s the stupid one.” He complains.
“Who’s the stupid one?” Jimin asks, nearing where the conversation is coming from. He takes his seat on your left and Jungkook immediately shuts his mouth.
“So, when can you be discharged?” Hoseok asks.
“If everything’s okay, this weekend.” You smile at him.
“But you still can’t do anything heavy right? A gunshot is still a gunshot.” Jin says.
You nod.
Jungkook smirks. “Huh. No sex for Jimin hyung then.” He says and you choke on the apple you’re eating and cough too much. Everyone looks at Jungkook first then you then Jimin then anywhere else and there’s suddenly an awkward tension in the room and you hope the ground would swallow you whole at that moment.
“It’s okay. There’s plenty other ways.” Jimin says suddenly and your eyes widen. He did not just say that!
“What the fuck hyung! So gross!” Jungkook says while the others are desperately trying to hold their laugh.
You’re thankful you’re now off the heartbeat monitor because if all these happens while you’re attached to the machine.. the doctor would probably come running.
The guys bring you so much laughter but now that they had left, you feel the soreness down to your toes. It’s late evening and you just want to lie back down but you also feel dirty since you haven’t showered or change your clothes.
You’re still in sitting position, your back against the pillows and you unconsciously moan when your head hit the pillow behind, eyes shut.
You could almost drift to sleep immediately if your entire body doesn’t suddenly become alarmed when you feel a hand coming up to your rib where the hospital gown’s knot is situated. One simple act of untying the knot and you’d be naked from top to bottom because you’re completely bare on the inside.
Your hand reaches out to grip his immediately, stopping his act. He seems surprised for a moment but immediately relaxes. “You need to change clothes and bathe.”
“You.. are not going to undress me. Or bathe me.” You say in all seriousness.
He rolls his eyes. “I’ve seen more than this.” He snorts and you flush all shades of red.
You try to say no to him changing your cloths or bathing you but he’s very adamant about it and you sigh in surrender. And it’s more likely because you’re already worn out and couldn’t take off your cloth on your own.
If your naked body somehow affects him, he surely does a good job hiding it. Perhaps your pride is bruised, a little.
All he does is just gentle and tenderness as he wipes your whole body with wet towel and you almost buckle in full embarrassment. Once the whole tedious process is done, he guides you to your bed, tucking you in as his body is flush against yours. His embrace is so warm against your cold blanket and you almost shut your eyes from the warmth.
He starts to pull away once you’re tucked in bed but you grip his arm tight before he could go away, eyes already fluttered close. He seems unsure at first but then decides to just hug you till you’re sound asleep. So he lets your head fall across his chest and silently prays you don’t hear his rapid heartbeat.
You lean close to him, as if pulled by his smell. You’ve always liked his smell and it’s your most favourite smell in the world.
You thought you only said it your mind but little did you know, you muttered it under your breath and Jimin being a few centimetres away catches on it, making his lips quirk up in a fond smile. His head dips down slightly and softly presses his lips against the crown of your head.
You fall asleep in his arms like that.

“Ok. So ive read fanfics and headcanons of yandere!Diavolo basically getting with MC to annoy or make Lucifer jealous. What if MC feels like Diavolo is doing this and try to say no whenever Dia tries to ask them out? Hes the the future king and rarely gets told no. I feel like he wouldnt accept MC's refusal.”
Yandere!Diavolo x MC. Thanks beautiful anon for requesting. And it ended up being gender neutral because it just did. Also ever so slight Barbatos x Reader too bc i errr simp-- Enjoy lovelies! <3
TW: Kidnapping, warnings of physical abuse, deceit, emotional manipulation, Diavolo being a bitch
“Are you afraid?”
You were seriously annoyed. Living in the Devildom, fun right?
Apparently not with the Prince around. Diavolo was nice, you supposed but very much arrogant.
So here you were, faced with yet another proposition.
“Look, Diavolo you’re nice but once again it’s got to be a no. Please understand that, I mean no disrespect.” You were a bit nervous, the way his eyes narrowed and his smug smile widened.
“Of course. But one day maybe you will give me a chance.” You forced a smile and turned to leave, wanting to return back to the house of lamentation.
“Oooh, MC you’re in a bad mood! What’s wrong?” As you walked into the kitchen to grab a drink, you heard Asmo quip at you.
“Nothing, nothing, I’m just tired...” You leant on the counter and sighed. “Come now, we both know it’s something more than that. You can tell me!”
“Fine, it’s Diavolo again.” “Eh? Again?” “Yep. He keeps asking me to be with him, and I’m almost certain it’s to make Lucifer jealous.”
Asmo tapped his chin in thought. “Hm, well that is a problem. I can’t help you, although you’re super lucky to have the future King after you. Maybe Lucifer can help?”
You blinked. “Hey that’s not a bad idea. Thanks Asmo!”
You hopped down from the counter and left, to hopefully find some help on the situation.
-
Knock knock!
“Enter.” You quietly stepped into Lucifer’s study, where he was doing goodness knows what.
“Ah, MC. Need something?” You sank into one of the chairs and sighed. “I need you to talk to Diavolo for me.”
The scratching of the pen stopped at once and Lucifer fixed you with a look. “Pardon?”
“I meant what I said. I have utmost respect for Diavolo, but at the moment he seems... He won’t take my ‘no’ for an answer in being his partner. And he won’t listen to me, so I was hoping you could talk to him?”
Lucifer paused for a moment, taking in the information.
“I see. So, you want me to discuss with Diavolo why you don’t wish to be his partner?” “Please.” “Very well. Next week’s student council meeting will--”
“I need you to do it as soon as you can.” Lucifer gave you a small smile. “MC, I appreciate the concern but I can assure you Diavolo means no harm. He is simply not used to being refused something.”
You stood up, and shook your head. “You don’t understand... Nevermind, it doesn’t matter.”
With that, you left.
After closing the door in annoyance, you groaned, heading back to your room. It was unfair! No one saw the urgency of the situation!
‘Who else can I talk to...? Lucifer will only talk to him next week, and I don’t think any of the brothers would want to talk to him...’
An idea popped into your head, and you grabbed your D.D.D.
Scrolling through your contacts you clicked on a fairly unused one.
Riiing... Riiing.... Click!
“MC. What a pleasant call.”
“Hey, Barbatos. Listen, I need to talk to you about something, but I’d prefer to do it in person.” “That is completely fine. Would you like to come over tomorrow?”
You sighed in some relief. “Yeah, yeah that’s brilliant. Thanks.” “It’s no problem. I’ll escort you, if you’d like.” “Mm, thanks Barbatos. See you tomorrow.”
You hung up and grinned. Why hadn’t you thought of that before? Barbatos could help for sure... right?
-
In the morning, at breakfast you informed the brothers of where you’d be going.
“So what are you doing today, MC? You could come with me to Devil’s Kitchen-” “Or you could come buy a matching outfit with me for Devilgram!” “Yeah, or they could stay in and play the new game with me? Only if they wanted, of course-!”
You chuckled at the brothers bickering. “Actually I’m going out today, so I can’t join any of you.”
“Oh? And where are you going?” “To spend some time with Barbatos actually.” “Huh?! Why are you hanging out with that butler?” “Mammon, jealousy isn’t a good look for you.”
“I just thought I would, because I don’t spend much time with him. He’s picking me up soon.” “Oh! Is MC going on a date?” “I very much doubt that, Asmo.”
You gave Asmo a side glare and stood up from the table. “I just want to talk to him, that’s all. I’ve gotta get ready, catch you later.”
-
“Alright, see you guys later! If I’m not back by this evening assume I’m dead. See you!” You stepped out of the building with Barbatos and he gave you that oh-so-polite smile of his.
“MC, you look nice. So what is you wished to discuss?” With one graceful flick of his hand, Barbatos had both of you transported to the Demon Lord’s castle.
It wasn’t the first place you’d wanted to go to, but if the time was spent with Barbatos on his own then it would be fine.
“Well, actually it’s about Diavolo- No, before you say I don’t want to talk to him about this. Believe me, I’ve tried.” You leant back into
Barbatos pursed his lips and glanced to the side. “I believe I know what this is about. Excuse my manners, I haven’t offered you anything. Some tea?”
“Oh, thanks.” He nodded courteously and stood up, leaving for a moment.
You glanced around, taking in the grand carvings in the gold ceilings, and how everything from the paintings to the threads of the cushion you were leaning on had some air of royalty to them.
“Here you are MC. I hope it is to your liking?” “Mm.” “Wonderful. Now, about your concerns. This is about My Lord’s... advances, isn’t it?”
You nodded, and sipped your cup of hot tea.
“No need to say anything, I completely understand. My Lord is a wonderful demon, he’s just new to this kind of thing. But I understand why you are uncomfortable, and I will talk to him about it, if you’d like?”
“You will?” “Of course, I’d be more than happy to oblige. MC, are you feeling well? You look a little pale.” He suddenly commented, and you noticed a strange feeling in your temple.
“Ah- now that you mention it, I feel kind of... tired... Wait- Barbatos what’s in this tea...?” You trailed off, your delicate cup clattering to the ground.
“I’m so sorry, MC. Out of all the futures I’ve seen, yours was one of the brightest until you came here... I truly am sorry.” Remorse welled in his teal eyes and you slipped forwards, sleep overtaking you.
Gloved hands caught you swiftly, but you didn’t know what happened after that. You could only imagine Barbatos carrying you to the grand room, removing your D.D.D from your possession and glacing wistfully back at you as he locked the door.
-
“Ahh, you’re finally awake! It’s so lovely to see your bright eyes again.” ‘That voice, it can’t be...’
Your worst fears had come true. Here you were, just woken up in the lap of the demon Prince himself. ‘Angels save me...’
“What... Diavolo..?” “Yours truly. How do you feel, darling? Terribly sorry about getting you here, Barbatos was rather reluctant about the whole plan but seeing the future is such a nifty trick, eh?”
You scrambled out of his loose grip and hunched up to the head board, golden like everything else in this fucking castle.
“You- he- He tricked me! Let me go, you can’t keep me here!” “I think you’ll find I can, being the future King and all. Come now, what’s with that expression?”
You glared at him, eyes fixated on sending a look of pure hatred. “You’re a monster. I told you I didn’t want you. You can’t just kidnap someone if they don’t requite your feelings!”
“Can’t I? You don’t seem to be correct, this time.” “You bastard!” You cried, and jumped off the bed, sprinting towards the door.
Of course it was locked, but that wouldn’t stop you from banging on it and screaming. “Barbatos, Barbatos please help me!”
“I’m afraid that won’t help you, MC. Barbatos is my servant after all, and a servant cannot disobey his master. As for you...”
You heard him stride across the room, and you turned to face him- only to wish you hadn’t.
“Are you afraid, MC?”
Diavolo’s usually wide smile had been replaced by a sinister grin, and he had changed into his demon form- a truly terrifying sight to behold.
“Not going to answer me? That’s okay, I don’t need you to.” You pressed yourself against the door, ready for some kind of agony, but it never came.
Instead, he picked you up and sat back on the bed, nestling you on his lap once more.
“I must say, it’s better when you don’t fight back.” You couldn’t move. You were genuinely paralysed.
All you could do was whatever he wanted, evidently.
“What... did you do to me...?!” “What an accusation, MC. I simply made the situation more enjoyable, wouldn’t you say?”
“The brothers will find me... The angels will find me too... You won’t get away with this..!” You hissed as he pressed gentle kisses to your neck, content.
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that. After all, they’ll be too sad to find that you left them, without even saying goodbye.”
“W-what?! I would never.... You cruel bastard!” Your eyes welled with tears, and he carefully wiped them away with his thumb.
“It’s okay, it’s okay. You have me, right darling?” “I don’t want you!” “We’ll have to work on that, but that’s okay... but that’s okay, if it’s for you!”
“Don’t... don’t touch me.” He sighed, pulling you closer to his chest and ran his hand through your hair.
“I suppose if you keep denying me, there will be consequences, but I’m sure you’ll be a good little human and keep quiet, right?”
--
haha this was long. and i may or may not be working on yandere! simeon and solomon right now so uhhhh shhh. i’m not a huge fan of Diavolo but the dynamic is fun. see you soon lovelies <3

Alpha Beta Charlie- A Frankie Morales Story
Summary: Frankie is a lonely man with a big heart. His life changes when a new girl comes into his life.
W/C: 4.1k
Warnings: This one is a little heavy. Lots of language, talk of poor mental health (Frankie has depression and anxiety), Frankie’s recovering from a coke addiction, alcohol is prevalent here, harm to animals, lots of talk of blood and injuries.
A/N: This story is different than I normally write. There’s no reader in the story, this is just a story about Frankie Morales and a moment in his life. Please note that this is darker as it centers around an injured animal. Be warned of that. P.S. some of my friends might see ur names in here :) thank u to all of my friends who helped me pick Charlie’s name, and to @ilikechocolatemilkh who helped me create this whole story!
Tumblr media
Frankie Morales is a kindhearted man. Anyone who meets him knows it instantly. He’s got a wonderful laugh that’s warm and inviting, and it’s often on display to anyone who chats with him for more than a few seconds. He’s caring, it’s clear, with big brown eyes that radiate compassion.
His friends would describe him more as an idiot. Frankie, who they call Catfish from their days in the military, insists that they’re the idiots. He’s the voice of reason in their group, making the rational decisions and de-escalating fights within their group.
That’s not to say Frankie is entirely sunshine and rainbows. He’s now several months sober from a long and grueling addiction to cocaine. It ruined him: it took away his pilot’s license, his everything in life. Flying helicopters was Frankie’s passion, but he’s recovering. He’s on the right track.
He had a girlfriend, who became his fiancée, and left him not long after he returned home from a dangerous mission in South America. It didn’t matter anyway; her child, who Frankie had dedicated all of his heart to before the birth, was revealed to be another man’s. As much as she resented him for taking the mission, he resented her for cheating and lying and holding the information back.
So now Frankie lives on his own. He resides out in a more rural town, not far from where Benny has his weekly fights and Will (also known as Ironhead) works with young military recruits. It’s been a couple of months, and it’s hard to be alone. Santiago pops into town once or twice a month, and it’s always the highlight of Frankie’s very being. His best friend brings light and laughter into his life. When he leaves again, Frankie’s small home feels massive and quiet.
He plays lots of CDs. He has bluetooth speakers all around the home and blasts his favorite songs. He’s learned how to cook and clean and has even learned how to bake a decent, basic version of a nice loaf of bread. He works as a mechanic at a shop in his small town’s center, working the odd hours that no one else wants, the hours where others want to be home with their families.
He’d considered different options to make the house more home-like, more welcoming. He tried his hand at gardening, only to find that he had the opposite of a green thumb. He painted the walls a warmer color, then painted them again. He was currently considering changing the colors for the third time. He’d burn candles that he thought smelled nice. He’d hung up a few photos of him and his friends, or his family. Nothing really worked.
A typical night for Frankie held one of two patterns:
-Night A: Frankie gets home from the shop at about 7:30, hands covered in grease and smelling of burnt motor oil. He gets in the shower and cleans up, then either ends up at Benny’s arena to cheer him on, or at the bar with both Miller brothers.
-Night B: Frankie gets home at the same time. He showers to clean himself, simply because he hates leaving smudges over his home. He cooks a nice dinner or orders takeout. He eats it on the couch and watches a new Netflix series. He gets sad and feels alone and drinks a beer, then a few more, to drown the sensation. He goes to bed early and calls into the shop to see if any of the morning shift workers want to go home early, because he can come in an hour or two before his shift. He claims it’s for the overtime pay. It’s really to avoid the loneliness.
Frankie likes patterns. He likes routine. It’s soothing. Maybe it’s a remnant of his military days, where not a second would pass without having a title affixed to the very second he was living in. Predictability made the hurt easier.
Tonight was an A Night. Frankie and the Miller brothers sat at the bar of McCreary’s and talked about everything and nothing at once. Will talked about the new girl he was seeing. Benny made lewd comments. Frankie smacked his arm and ordered another round for the other two, then nursed one beer for the entire night.
Winters were the worst for Catfish. He lived in the South, where snow was uncommon, but the dreary February weather stole whatever energy he could muster up and sent it up to join the gray masses that hung in the sky, yet never shed their raindrops. It gets dark early, another thing Frankie hates. It reminds him of the look on Tom’s face when he died. Of the way his bachelor home never made sounds unless he created them. Of the way the craving for one more hit of that devious white powder felt, the way it scrambled his brain until he thought it was the only thing that could take it away.
This A Night, which also happened to be an especially chilly Tuesday, Frankie drove home from the bar at 12:21. The backroads that lead from the suburbs out to the rolling hills are dark, with a rare streetlight or two illuminating a fork in the road that led to a house. The radio droned on, some old Waylon Jennings song that was threatening to send Frankie into a fit of rage and smash a fist into his dashboard. He turned off the radio instead.
Another car drove the opposite way, far in the distance. He could see the lights approaching, then dim slightly. Frankie turned off his brights, instead allowing the road to be illuminated just by his front headlights. He turns up the heat in his truck as a shiver runs down his spine.
Something is running across the road. Frankie can see it now. It’s far from him, but visible in the other car’s light. He slams on his brakes, his body jerking forward.
The other car doesn’t slow.
He slams his horn several times, for whatever is in the road and the other driver.
The thing doesn’t move.
The car doesn’t slow.
The car and the creature- oh fuck, it’s an animal- collide.
Everything that happens next is too quick. The car stops for a moment. Frankie whips the truck into park and turns on his hazards.
The other car stops for a moment. Frankie can just make out a silhouette inside. He gets out of his truck, eyes wide and frantic. He runs to the animal’s side.
The car drives off.
Dust swirls across the road as the car’s tail lights fade into the distance. Leaving just Frankie and his truck and the mangled mess of fur and blood.
“Fucker!” Frankie screams after the car. “You fuckin’ bastard! You didn’t even check, you motherfucker!”
He gets closer and realizes it’s a dog. Its fur is white and brown and so painstakingly red with its own blood, and it whimpers and cries and Frankie realizes the poor fucking thing is still alive. Whether it’s his caretaking or his military instincts that kick in, Frankie isn’t sure, but before he knows it he’s ripping off his jacket and picking up the poor poor baby, oh you little angel, he coos to it, wrapping it in the denim and setting it in his passenger seat.
It’s still whimpering and crying, and Frankie gets in the driver’s seat and grabs his phone. “Nearest 24-hour pet hospital,” he shouts into it, hands shaking. He doesn’t realize either reaction is happening. It gets the words wrong. “No, fuck,” he groans, shifting the truck into drive and whipping a U-turn. He types in the words as he starts to speed back in the direction of the town. He knows he shouldn’t text and drive and normally he doesn’t, but he’s a fucking former military helicopter pilot, he rationalizes with himself, he can handle this. He finds the directions and types them in and tears start dripping from his eyes.
“Hang in there, buddy, hey,” he says and rubs the poor dog’s big ears as they drive. “It’s gonna be 30 minutes. Think you can hang on for me?” he asks it, not expecting a response. He wants to check the dog’s sex but now is certainly not the time, not while he’s doing 85 in a 60 zone and the dog’s blood is seeping into his denim jacket and his passenger seat.
The tears are flowing freely from his eyes now, his heart breaking. He can feel the animal’s shallow breaths as he drives, and he sobs to himself. “Hang on, buddy. It’s gonna be okay, I gotcha. I’m Frankie,” he introduces himself to the dog, “and I’m gonna take real good care of you. You’re gonna be alright and we’re gonna get you fixed up and back to your owners.”
The drive takes 24 minutes when Frankie is flying down the backroads. Fuck if a cop sees him. Fuck blowing a tire. That can be cared for later, when there’s not a dying creature next to him. A steady murmur of ‘it’s okay’ spills from Frankie’s lips. He’s not sure if he’s saying it to the dog or himself. One hand firmly grips the steering wheel and the other never leaves the animal’s body. He comforts the poor creature, murmuring more reassurances the closer they get.
“Please hang in there for me, cariño,” Frankie whimpers, chewing his bleeding lip. “I gotcha. It’s all gonna be alright, bud.”
When he sees the hospital, he drives a little faster. He pulls into the emergency room area and parks in front of the door, turning on his hazards and running inside. There are a few veterinary nurses inside and they greet him, but their looks turn to fear when they see the denim-wrapped animal. “Please, please, Idon’tknowthisisn’tmydogitwasahitandrunandIpickeditup-”
“It’s alright, sir, come with us. Please breathe and tell us again,” a kind woman tells him with a hand on his arm, rushing him and the dog back. Frankie calms down after a moment and explains what happened. “It’s not my dog, I don’t know whose dog this is, you gotta check it for a chip-” he rambles.
“It’s alright, sir,” the nurse tells him kindly and takes the dog from his arms. Frankie clutches after it and a new woman pushes his arms down. “We’re going to take it back and operate on it. Would you please wait here for us? We’ll come give you updates as we get them,” she tells him, gesturing to the waiting room. He nods. “And is this your dog’s first time here?” She asks.
The tears come back, choking his throat as water falls steadily from his eyes. “It’s not even my fuckin’ dog, man,” he whimpers, worrying his lip between his teeth again.
The woman is still kind. “I see. Please, sit, Mr….”
“Morales,” he manages out.
She nods. “Mr. Morales. I understand you’re worried. Please just wait in here for us and we’ll bring you information when we have it.” He nods softly, grabbing a tissue from the front desk. He wipes his eyes and nose. “My truck is parked right outside, it’s in the way, I’ll go park it somewhere else,” he tells her.
“That’s perfectly fine, sir. You can even leave and come back if you’d like.” He shakes his head. “I’ll be right back,” he tells her and walk-jogs outside, getting in his car and bringing it around to park.
-
Frankie enters the emergency room again and sits in a chair. He worries and worries for hours, texting his group chat with the Millers and Santiago. He gives them a play-by-play, but only Santiago responds. He sits awake for another hour, nervously wringing his ball cap.
The dog must be alive, or at least be able to save, he rationalizes with himself. After a while, the worry fades and he falls asleep. Two hours later, no other patients around to disrupt him, he’s woken by the nurse who took the dog back. “Mr. Morales?” She calls out gently.
He jumps awake. “Yeah, yeah, that’s me.” He sits up from his slumped state, readjusting the cap from where it had been resting over his eyes.
The nurse smiles softly at him and sits in a chair across the waiting room from him. “The dog is safe now. We had to amputate her front left leg, and she had a lot of stitches, but she’s stable and looks like she’ll do well.” He lets out a sigh and her smile becomes more genuine. “You told us she isn’t yours?”
She. The dog is a girl. Of course she is, Frankie smiles a little. The smile falls as he remembers the fact again. “No, no. It was a hit and run. I saw it happen, the other guy took off, it wasn’t me who hit her, I’m-”
“Mr. Morales.”
“Right. No, she’s not mine.”
The nurse nods and writes that down. “Well, we scanned her several times. She has no chip, no identifiers at all. Our options now are to send her to some rescue or kennel of some sort, or you can take her home with you.”
His heart breaks at the image of the sweet dog in the front seat of his car going somewhere without daily love and affection. “She’ll come with me,” he answers before he can rationally think about it.
“Wonderful,” she nods, marking that down as well. “She’s looped up now on some drugs. We’ll let her sleep them off for a bit and then she’s all yours. We do have some procedures we’ll need you to follow, for caring for the wound and such. But after that, it should be all good. You’re free to head out now. We can call you when she wakes up.”
Frankie nods. “Yeah. Yeah, that would be great.” He looks down at his watch and notices how early in the morning it is. “Thanks,” he tells her with a genuine smile, taking off his cap and running his hands through his hair before replacing it.
- From that moment on, Frankie was enamored with the dog. He called in from work when the shop opened bright and early at 6:00 A.M.
“Hey Carol. It’s Morales.”
“You can stop asking if you can come in early, Frank. Just do it,” the woman chuckles on the other line. A loud slurp is audible- it’s the coffee she’s always drinking, the dark sludgy shit that she brews in the break room that Frankie can’t stand but she absolutely adores.
“No, uh. Actually, I was calling in to see if someone else could cover for me today.” He explains the whole story to her, wringing his cap between his hands. “So. I was kind of hoping I could take the day to look for the dog’s owners and care for her.”
There’s a beat of silence over the phone. “Of course, Frankie,” the older woman says kindly. “You got a real big heart, kid. Real big. That’s awful kind.”
He smiles a little. “Just doing what I can. Thanks, Carol.”
“Keep me posted, Catfish.” The woman hangs up.
Frankie’s in more comfortable clothes now. He didn’t sleep at all once he got home, waiting for the hospital’s call. He distracts himself, cooking a breakfast he only picks at, watching his new series halfheartedly on the couch.
The animal hospital calls him again at 7:30. He gets off the couch immediately and into the truck. There’s a bit of blood on the passenger seat, from where the dog wasn’t immediately covered by his jacket. It’s not a worry, though, he thinks to himself. He’ll get some stain remover and maybe a new and nicer jacket.
When he arrives, they usher him back to a check-up room. The dog is lying down but she wags her tail at Frankie, looking up at him with big brown eyes that could rival his own. “Hey, sweet thing,” he calls softly, and the dog stands and walks over to him. It’s pained, that much is clear, but she’s already adjusting to walking with one less limb. She rests her head on Frankie’s lap and he scratches her ears gently.
Some paperwork is filled out and Frankie leads the dog out to his truck with the leash and collar the hospital provided. He lifts her into the passenger seat and she snuggles in. The scent is familiar to her.
Frankie drives her to a pet store nearby, smiling over at her. She looks at ease with him, relaxed and trusting. Of course she is. This is the man who saved her.
He helps her down once they arrive and leads her inside. Her walking is pained, he can tell. “Aw, honey,” he frowns. There are carts right inside; Frankie sees the immediate solution. He scoops her up and sets her in a cart. Her tongue hangs out happily as they go through the store. “We’re gonna get you all kinds of fun stuff, huh?” He asks, scratching her head.
Frankie spares no expense for the dog. As they cross through the store, the cart fills: bags of food and treats, a new leash, and a pink collar decorated with donuts “because you’re such a sweetie, right cutie?”, doggie bags, and food and water dishes. Finally they reach the toy aisle. “Do you wanna pick your own toy?”
He picks her up and sets her down on the ground, unclipping her leash to allow her to explore the toy aisle. She meanders, sniffing toys here and there, even considering one big bone. A few moments later, she comes tottering back to the cart with a toy in her mouth. It’s a big plush hedgehog.  Frankie grins. “Aw, that’s a good one! Good choice, cutie.” He kisses her head as he puts her back in the cart.
They check out and drive home, and Frankie allows her to wander inside. “Welcome home. At least for now. I suppose I should put an ad out for you online.”
The dog doesn’t respond, just wanders around the house, sniffing the furniture warily and looking back at Frankie. Asking if he’s coming. He smiles and leads her to the couch, sitting down on it. “I know they say you shouldn’t let dogs on the furniture, but I think you and I can share.” She jumps up and Frankie praises her, giving her a smooch and earning a big lick in return. “Oh, pretty girl, I think you’ll like it here,” he coos to her. She snuggles into his side with a sigh and Frankie sighs too.
Over the next few days, he posts ads for her, but no one responds. He reaches out to people from the area he was driving in, but no one responds. After Day 4 of searching, there’s no response and he allows himself to sigh in relief. “You’re mine now, baby girl,” he coos to the dog, who’s happily panting and grinning.
During the first week, Frankie tries out different names for her. None of them seem to stick. He wonders if she ever even had a name before. Ada, Lucille, Thea, Sunny, Miki, Zulu, Fox, Pancake. None of them work right for her personality.
It’s not until late one night when Frankie’s coke cravings decide upon a name for her.
It’s 2:24 in the morning and Frankie is quaking like a leaf. The dog is cuddled up into his side on the bed. Wherever he goes around the house, she follows. He’s biting his lip so hard it’s drawing blood. Normally when he’s this anxious, when he yearns to call his dealer, he rides it out by balling his fists so tight his knuckles turn white. But his dog seems to notice.
She rests her chin on his hip, wagging her tail against the mattress with a steady thump. She whines quietly. She knows.
Frankie’s at least momentarily distracted. “Hey, beautiful, what’s wrong?” He asks her, scratching his head and rolling over to pet her. He’s still desperate but the focus shifts from the sensation of one last hit to the feeling of her soft fur beneath his fingers. She sighs happily and snuggles into Frankie’s side, and he starts to cry.
No one has ever needed him. Not his plants: they’re succulents. He deals with them once every other week. Not his former fiancée. She didn’t need him, just liked him for his money and his dick late at night. Not his friends. They had other friends to go to. No, this dog needs him, and it makes his heart feel like it’s going to burst.
Sitting up, Frankie turns on the television. He hits a random button to choose a channel, and Princess and the Frog comes on. He chuckles a little. “How about Tiana?” He asks his dog and scratches her ears. She doesn’t react.
It’s near the beginning of the movie. The relaxing music soothes him as the movie starts. The dog lies with her head on his thigh, happily receiving scratchies from her new father. Her head perks up when she hears a shrill noise from the television: Tiana’s best friend in her puffy pink dress.
“It’s okay, it’s okay baby. It’s just Charlotte.”
Charlotte. Her ears perk up and she looks at him. “Charlotte?” He asks again, and she looks at him in confusion. “Do you like that one? How about Lottie?” No response. “Or Charlie?”
The dog pounces on him with her one front paw and licks his face. Frankie laughs happily scratching her sides. “Is that your name, pretty girl? Is your name Charlie?”
The answer, it seems, is yes.
It’s funny, Frankie thinks. Charlie is the third letter of the military alphabet, after Alpha and Beta.
Before Delta.
She would be, he realizes. She’s more important to him than his Delta Squadron guys. More important to him than the terrible things he did in the military. She comes before Delta.
And that’s how Charlie got her name.
-
The guys finally came over to Frankie’s house on Night 9 of owning Charlie.
All of the men are dog lovers, and Charlie takes to Benny quickly. He gives her her favorite kind of scratches: one hand behind the ear, one hand on the tummy. “Yeah, that’s a good tripod,” he teases her as he snuggles her.
“Hey man, cut it out,” Frankie frowns and smacks his arm. “She’s insecure about it! Be nice.”
Santiago laughs. “Hey, you know what, Fish? This isn’t what I meant when I said that you should get a girl, but I’ll take it. Especially when she’s such a sweetie- oh hi, beautiful,” he coos as Charlie hops his way and licks his face.
Frankie shakes his head. “Isn’t she a cutie?” He laughs happily as he watches his dog. “I tried posting ads for her, but no one answered. She’s such a sweetheart, potty trained and everything. I can’t believe I got so lucky.”
Benny grins. “And all because we asked you to get a beer and you caved and said yes.”
“What the hell do you mean caved, Ben? I get beers with you two fuckers three times a week,” he laughs and shakes his head.
He’s been home alone with her all week, but he hasn’t felt as anxious as he normally does. Her companionship is all he needs, the way she snuggles up tight against him, the way her meal schedule motivates him to eat more. He has a purpose now.
After the initial excitement, Charlie finds her place sitting at her dad’s feet, panting happily and looking around the room. “She fits in well,” Will nods and leans over as he scratches her head. “She’s the newest member of our group, I suppose.”
“She’s much less work than Fish. Maybe we replace him with her,” Santiago teases and Frankie flips him off, chuckling softly.
This was a pattern that came to be known as the newly named C Night in Frankie’s head. These are the nights where they order a pizza or takeout and hang out in Frankie’s living room with Charlie. She’s the entertainer of the group, giving the men each some individual snuggles and wandering around the room. She’s funny, flopping onto her back at a human’s feet so that she can get tummy rubs, spending an absurd amount of time sniffing one specific spot on one man’s jeans. They all adore her.
Life improves for Frankie when he has Charlie. He works shorter hours, spends time brushing her fur. He sleeps at better hours and cares for himself better as a result of caring for her.
He takes her on a jog every morning. At first, he was nervous to do it. It’s been a long time since he’s been able to pass those Special Ops fitness tests. The thing that encourages him most is that Charlie is just the same speed as him. She runs along happily on three legs at the perfect pace for Frankie to match.
Frankie lovingly refers to her as his copilot. She loves riding in the passenger seat of his truck, letting the wind from the open windows run through her fur. She gets excited when she hears the word truck and demands that Frankie snuggle her when they’re on a long drive. She even fell asleep on his lap once, with her face resting in the curve of the steering wheel.
Charlie is Frankie’s baby, and Frankie is her favorite human. The two of them are each other’s soulmates, Frankie thinks. His baby girl, his fluffy baby, his cuddlebug. His girl. His one true love is his dog, his Charlie.
