a few notes about my portrayal of firefly and sam!

while we don't know firefly's exact origins yet - i do believe her and sam to be two distinctly separate entities that essentially became one. sam is referenced by silver wolf to be a 'mechanical lifeform.' sam is very likely a member of the bygone iron cavalry of the glamoth empire (led by titania -> fairies -> firefly references but that's just a thought) that has somehow survived all these years. the iron cavalry was instrumental in beating back the swarm initially.

firefly suffers from entropy loss syndrome - a disease that essentially would have her just. disappearing without proper treatment. what we know of entropy is that it often has to do with heat. what are sam's powers? heat. fire. he is said to create a permanent purgatory and some of the hottest flames to ever exist. it is interesting to think that in utilizing his heat - sam can likely keep firefly from succumbing to her entropy loss.

i think somewhere along the way (because sam was the first stellaron hunter member - whether firefly was included in that before hand or not, i'm not sure, but i like to think so) sam decided to throw his lot in with this strange girl. i'm not sure what made him make that choice - because by all accounts sam has been rumored to be the most violent and vicious of the hunters, the most dangerous, and yet i do believe he has intrinsically tied his existence with 1 pretty little bean from god knows where.

somehow - someway, firefly and sam became linked. i say this, however, with a caveat.

FIREFLY AND SAM, DESPITE THIS, ARE TWO SEPARATE ENTITIES - WITH THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS AND ACTIONS OF THEIR OWN.

that said, it seems like sam might be distinctly influenced by firefly's own behavior, and vice versa - so i do believe firefly is far more savage than she let us believe.

what they have formed is basically a symbiotic relationship - though sam's reasoning for allowing it remains a mystery - but i suspect it has something to do with his fascination with organic life, and for firefly it's about staying alive. together, they can fulfill each other's wishes.

i'd like to make note that sam was also the first stellaron hunter alongside elio, and again it's hard to say if firefly was a part of that or not. but if she was - she has likely known the trailblazer for quite awhile, and her affections extend incredibly deeply.

let it be known that i am headcanoning here - these are the thoughts i've parsed together from the story we've experienced, voicelines, and drops of lore here and there. so these are just that: headcanons, with doses of canon to back them.

Juniper and Punch are a very special couple, no matter the universe. They're both athletic nerds who like a good laugh, especially when the good laugh comes from something the other one said. They heard the phrase "the person you marry should be your best friend" and took it to heart.

Punch belongs to @twstinginthewind, so you can add whatever you think needs to be added. :3c

Who proposes?: I want to say Juniper proposes a little too soon, and Punch says he needs to think about it. They have an awkward phase as Punch is figuring things out. Juniper was just overexcited and spontaneous and didn't think about what she was doing, but they're able to talk it out and stay strong as a couple. When Punch eventually proposes, they're ready to go forward.

Who’s in the wedding party? Punch's sister Joker, and Juniper's brothers Aspen, Birch, and Cedar are for sure. Epel and Ruggie are also there, as they end up being good friends with both of them. Whoever else may depend on the timeline. They may not have "bridesmaids" and "groomsmen", just like. Friends.

Where do they have the wedding? In the desert at sunset, near where Juniper's family lives.

What is the wedding like? The ceremony is short, hitting its height just as the sun goes down and all the stars really come out.

What do they wear? Breezy desert-friendly clothing. Punch wears a light-colored suit of light material, and Juniper wears an embroidered cotton dress. Both of them wear ceremonial silver jewelry.

What is the reception like, if they have one? The reception is just as long as the ceremony is short. It's basically an all-night party around the bonfire, with lots of food and music and dancing.

Where do they go for their honeymoon? Punch takes Juniper up to the Queendom of Roses to meet other members of his family who couldn't make it, and show her around where he comes from. If it's hockey season, they're totally going to a game.

cant tell you how bad it feels to constantly tell other artists to come to tumblr, because its the last good website that isn't fucked up by spoonfeeding algorithms and AI bullshit and isn't based around meaningless likes

Of Alfred interacting for under five minutes with Danny, dabbing his eyes and going, “That is indeed Martha,” I WANT IT. I want Martha who was spunky and sassy and wanted to do good for her town the same way Danny wants to do good for Amity Park.

I want Martha who loved to take Bruce and the family out to star gaze because her baby had never seen the stars before, and the way his eyes light up like a mini galaxy takes her breathe away the same way that Danny feels when he turns his head up to the sky yearning for something he knew loved but doesn’t know what.

I want Martha who would literally find trouble in a paper bag because she can’t help her curiosity the same way Danny can’t help tripping over his own ghostly tail and making a mess of things before he figures things out.

I want Martha who would fight men who thought they held power, going absolutely feral from stress the same way Danny does when he’s tired of not being able to do his homework or pick up a vacuum against the wall to clean because ghosts.

I want Martha who loved the pearl necklace that Bruce had picked out for her birthday, and Danny reaches towards his neck and startles when his fingers only touch skin when he is certain there was something supposed to be there. I want Danny whose eyes linger on whites and pearls when he passes by open window stores in the mall, fingers itching to flick a nail against the smooth surfaces.

I want Martha who died bleeding underneath the hand of a gun, hoping to everything above that her boy would be safe, and Danny whose body burns at merely looking at the makeshift guns his parents create in the lab, his heart pounding desperately with a yearning to save there was someone she wanted to save the ghosts.
