I can't draw children for the life of me, but I'm using these two as test subjects until I get better because I love them.

I don't think I'll ever be over the fact that Aziraphale didn't look even one tiny bit scared when Crowley pinned him to a wall but looked absolutely terrified when an angel (his own side) pinned him to a wall. My boy knows who's his real friend. He's on their own side. Always.

Fellow lando/oscar fans, when did those heart eyes emerge between the two because istg at the start of the season they looked barely friends and I’m now convinced they’re practically in love. Like am I just blind or when did this shift happen??

There were so many wonderful moments in 5x19 to spiral over ("BABE", kisses!, "which you will", etc.), but Tim saying "There's no way I would've scored as well on the sergeant's exam without you" was my FAVORITE. It left me floored! His acknowledgement in the part Lucy's audiobooks played, as well as her encouragement and support is EVERYTHING.

if you need, come build your home in me (and you know i won't complain)
a/n: randy and ranboo bonding because i am entirely insane. tws in tags as well because i am doubly insane. also everyone say thank you sneeg mutual because i literally was about to sit on it for like another day at LEAST
Tumblr media
Ranboo felt Randy's gaze on their back again as they slightly shuffled in their spot on the single threadbare mattress. It was impossible to be silent on the old thing, though Ranboo had never wished more for it to be.
Ranboo had become increasingly aware of the fact that Randy didn't like them. Especially not when they were around Sneeg and Charlie. As the days wore on, Ranboo noticed more and more how Charlie would suddenly be asked to wash dishes or make coffee when he had been offering to take Ranboo outside. How Randy would sit between Ranboo and Sneeg to the point where reaching out in hopes of finding Sneeg beside them had become an exercise in futility. How it was just subtle enough for Charlie and Sneeg not to notice.
Not so with Ranboo.
It hadn't taken the youngest of the little ragtag group long to consider leaving. Or dying. Either would get them out of Randy's hair, as much as they hated that.
Ranboo didn't want to go. Now that they had a choice, they wanted to live. They wanted to spell out flower names for Charlie when the older described a new one he'd found and asked them what it was. They wanted quiet days where them and Sneeg would sit on the couch and listen to the rain and hold onto each other and just be.
Ranboo also knew they would never tell the others any of that. They knew Sneeg and Charlie already had every right to hate them.
And now that Randy was here, he had that same right. Ranboo didn't blame him, anyway.
That didn't change the fact that hearing Randy catch up with the other two and knowing he likely wouldn't give Ranboo a second thought unless they got too close still hurt like hell.
The first time trying to bandage themselves had been the worst. They'd made a mess of the already severely neglected bathroom in the RV, and they could only imagine the bloody puddles that were left after they tried to wash their face. It had reopened several of the wounds the box had left, and that was the one time they were glad to be blind.
Charlie had woken up before either Randy or Sneeg. That was the first time Ranboo had talked to either of the brothers in days.
He had comforted them after helping them clean up the mess they'd made of both the bathroom and themselves. Once again they woke up alone.
Ranboo had been left to wonder if they'd made that up out of loneliness.
That was another memory stored away that they would never bring up. Not to confirm or deny its reality, not to Charlie or anyone else.
And it made them tired.
Another day went by of much the same routine. Sit alone, stay away from Randy's children because Ranboo could only ever hurt them and everyone knew that.
It was eighteen hours later, after the RV had finally become silent (as close to it as Ranboo could tell), when they stumbled down the stairs and started walking in the grass alongside the highway. They didn't stop.
Over and over again it felt like, they tripped on stones and skinned their knees like a little kid or rolled their ankles in pits. Their legs got tired and their lungs hurt from the ragged sobs that tore at them. They could feel drops falling down their face, whether it were tears or rain or blood there was no telling.
Ranboo didn't know how long they walked. They'd lost track of how many cars had passed them and how many times they'd sat down to stop themselves from walking into the road until they calmed down enough to keep going.
Not that it mattered, their mind reminded them. Maybe if they were lucky they'd get sick and die and Randy wouldn't have to live with the person who murdered his kids. Maybe Sneeg and Charlie would feel safer if they knew Ranboo was gone or dead. Maybe this was the best option for everyone. Maybe they should've done this a long time ago-
"Ranboo!" a voice called, breaking through the voices in Ranboo's head the way the sun would break through rain clouds.
Except Ranboo didn't deserve to see these rain clouds break. Not this time.
So they stayed where they were, sobbing and crumpled close to the ground, praying that Randy would give up and just let them die.
But of course, like everything Ranboo had done in Showfall and after, they still screwed it up. They couldn't even run away without ruining it, they mused bitterly before they heard soft footsteps.
"Hey. C'mon," Randy's voice said, now almost above them. "Here, c'mon, easy. We gotta get home, you're soaked."
There still wasn't the same warmth in Randy's voice that Sneeg and Charlie got. For good reason, Ranboo reminded themselves.
"I- I'm sorry," Ranboo managed out, still turned towards the ground. Talking made their face burn, they felt more warm liquid running into the cold rain that streamed down their face, but they didn't care.
"I'm so, so sorry about Sneeg and Charlie, I didn't stop them from- I should've-" they stuttered, fists clenching in pain. They wanted to throw up. They wanted a lot of things, actually.
Letting Randy watch them break down like this had not been one of them.
A gentle hand slowly wrapping around their shoulders made them shiver initially at the warmth. They made an attempt to take a deep breath in, somewhat comforted by someone finally touching them after days of nothing.
"It wasn't your fault, Ranboo," Randy said around the lump in his throat, just loud enough for Ranboo to hear.
Ranboo already wanted to cry again, too. That was the first time Randy had said their name since he met them.
Randy sighed before continuing. "I know- I know I treated you like it was. It wasn't fair of me. I know how Showfall is."
They just slumped into Randy's side and cushioned their head with their hand so they wouldn't get blood on him. " 'm sorry," they murmured again anyway. It sent another pang through Randy's heart before he even had time to process it.
"Don't be. It's not your fault. I'm the one who should be apologizing."
Ranboo pulled away when Randy started running his fingers through their hair. Randy in turn let go of them, looking down to try to see what had happened.
"I think my face- just- still bleeding," they said softly. "Didn't want it to- y'know."
To their surprise, Randy let out a sympathetic laugh. "Yeah, no joke, kiddo. I don't mind, though."
With that added reassurance, Ranboo rested back against Randy. They still tried to keep their shirt sleeve between their own face and Randy's shirt, but eventually gave up out of exhaustion.
After another moment, Randy carefully scooped the teen into his arms. "C'mon, let's get you home," he said to the still occasionally hiccuping teen.
It didn't take long for Randy to do exactly that.
Charlie and Sneeg were both still awake when he arrived back at the RV with the boy in his arms. It didn't take them long to figure out most of what must have happened.
And if Ranboo ended up sleeping in the next morning when they felt Charlie and Sneeg on either side of them, that could stay between them and anyone who may have seen them open their eyes that few seconds.

Nefario comforting a crestfallen Gru after a tough day.
The thought of the young boy confiding in his new friend - this eccentric, gentle and deeply compassionate man - about his daily struggles and emotional insecurities is such an immensely sweet and heartwarming concept for me, I just really love all the avenues that can be explored with this.
Also, I have a feeling dr. Nefario is a great listener.  💙
