Okay so this one came from me watching that Harry and Meghan Netflix show and learning that they met because Harry saw her picture on a friend’s Instagram and asked about her. Obviously I needed to give that to Nick and Charlie.

When he refreshed his feed, a new post from his best friend, Tara, popped up.

The photo was a group shot, clearly taken when no one was ready. Tara and her girlfriend, Darcy, were close together, arms around each other and another girl. Nick didn’t recognize this girl, but she was tall and bespectacled and looked just as excited as Tara and Darcy.

Next to the girl was an even taller boy, probably taller than Nick himself, hair flipped out and under a beanie. And there, crouched below everyone else, arms outstretched and mid-laugh, was the most gorgeous person Nick had ever seen.

In reading this over again, it’s actually pretty okay and I may continue this sooner rather than later…

Hi! Can I also ask for two things from the first part of theTwo-Part Drabble Game, number 2 and 3, fighting while cuddling or cuddling while fighting?

this isn’t exactly the prompt, but it does contain cuddling and mentions of fighting

Stevie bounced on her feet. It was cold out, a gentle wind picked up blowing leaves and sticking to the folds of her coat. She’d knocked on the cottage door five minutes ago. Huffing, she pulled her key out. As soon as she inserted the key in the lock, the door swung open and revealed Patrick.

He wore a maroon sweater and soft curls framed his face. Patrick’s face was flushed and he held a beer in one hand. “Sorry, Stevie. I hope you haven’t been out here too long.”

She pushed her way past Patrick and into the foyer. “Longer than I would have wanted.” She took her hat and coat off. She heard the muted sound of the television. “Did you and David start the movie without me?”

Patrick came up beside her and handed her a beer. “Uh, actually David and Alexis are just finishing up a movie.”

Stevie accepted the beer and took a sip. “I thought Alexis wasn’t supposed to be here for a few more hours?”

“That’s what she told us, but we got a call this morning.” Patrick ran a hand through his hair. “Turns out her flight was in the morning and she told us wrong. When we picked up Alexis, she and David bickered the entire car ride back.”

“Mmm, I don’t envy you.”

He shrugged his shoulders. “They’re fine now. Come see for yourself.”

Patrick led Stevie into the living room. David and Alexis were cuddled on the couch, a blanket thrown over both of them. Alexis wore one of David’s sweaters, her head rested on one of David’s arms. She was asleep and as Patrick and Stevie walked into the room David lifted his head up and glared at them.  

Stevie grinned and put a finger to her lips. She sank down into the plush armchair she always claimed as hers when she visited. She watched as Patrick pressed a kiss to David’s temple and grabbed the remote from his hands to change the movie.

- david's silver rings bc i honestly just feel that silver suits him better and i kinda wish the engagement rings had been white gold

- the skort from start spreading the news which i swear i've had actual dreams about

- this one was actually tough for me but i think "You're gonna stay here and think about what you've done" just gets me. the moment isn't purely playful because he kinda means it and the FACE david makes...ugh

- this one was immediately between twyla and ronnie for me and while twyla is a literal angel, ronnie is funnier to me and i'm obsessed w the patrick/ronnie conflict

- i don't even know if i can say it's my favorite exactly but i've rewatched season 5 the most? it's my comfort season i think.

- you're my mariah carey for sure. it was such a sweet earnest moment and while i love the vows conceptually, watching them gives me secondhand embarrassment and if i was david i would have literally combusted

Thank you! I’m amazed I got this far, and to finish with a first class honours is mind-blowing. And I found out my degree is an art degree, while I would have called it business, also mind-blowing...

But I did make it and now I’ll get back to doing thing I enjoy. Which is making incorrect quotes.

Hi, timeline-ish question or maybe just something I didn't understand: Are we supposed to believe that Rose Video still existed as a video rental store until the business manager screwed Johnny over, even though the show seems to be set in the 2010s? Or was the family still living off the profits from when video rental had been profitable, and Rose Video was already a thing of the past?

i’ve always assumed it was already a thing of the past, yes. i just can’t imagine that rose video was still doing anything in 2015 or so. idk exactly what that looks like in practice--big corporate business stuff like that definitely isn’t something in my wheelhouse--but i assume that johnny maybe sold off his stake in the company before the video store industry collapsed or that maybe they had gone to a franchising model that minimized the amount of financial risk he would have sustained as the business waned or something like that.

Hi! David & Patrick obvs, number 36 (giggling during sex), combined with number 3 (forehead kisses) maybe?

He was so glad they finally had alone time. Patrick had appreciated all the help while they were moving in, not so much when they wouldn't leave and all he wanted to do was fuck his husband. Luckily for him, David seemed to have the same game plan and they were shooing everyone out thirty minutes later. 

David looked beautiful. He knew that David would argue with that statement saying he was sweaty, and sometimes made ridiculous faces but that was part of the charm. That and the way he would start chanting Patrick, Patrick, Patrick and he knew that was all because of him. He was the one who could make David a babbling wreck and as David's rings reflected on the lamp, Patrick started giggling. 

David lifted his head up, "Is there something you want to share here because I feel like I'm missing something?"

He slowly pulled out of David and maneuvered himself until his head was resting on David's chest. "I was just thinking about how happy I am," he replied, releasing a few more giggles. 

"And that's funny?," David said as he placed a hand on Patrick's neck. 

"I didn't think my life was gonna end up like this you know?," he absentmindedly started playing with David's chest hair, "like in theory yes, I could imagine being married or sharing a house, but I didn't know that once I had the right person I could feel this good. I've been thinking about it a lot this week I guess."

David leaned over the best he could to place a kiss on Patrick's forehead, "You're sincerity will be the death of me one day," he rolled Patrick over, looking down at Patrick he noticed his growing smile, "Now, we were in the middle of something that I would very much like to continue."

Patrick gripped David's hips, giving a teasing thrust up, "I think that can be arranged."
