Tumblr media
Context: In the peaceful village of Yuuie, you and your best friend, Katsuki, hope to catch the eye of the Alpha of your dreams. Kirishima Eijiro.
Note: This story is OMEGAVERSE. This story takes place in a historical non modern setting so please take note of that when it comes to the jobs in society that the characters take and how they act. Bakugou Katsuki is an OMEGA. Reader and him are AFAB but there is no smut this chapter so its unimportant right now
[Masterlist]
You rubbed your eyes as you slowly began to wake up. You carefully looked out the window as the sun began to rise. You let out a soft breath before carefully sitting up. It was another beautiful morning and no doubt that Hisashi would be waking up soon. He was almost like a rooster that way, and just as loud too. You carefully slipped out of your warm nest, moving towards the basin on your dresser. The mirror that sat there faced you as you got ready for your day.
It was almost time for the Spring Festival, which meant a bountiful amount of harvest. It also meant that there was a lot more work to do. It also meant that there was a recent buzz in the air of courting proposals. It was something that all the young Omegas were buzzing about.
You carefully tightened the tie at the back of your dress before grabbing a scarf and slinging it onto your head. You left your bedroom, trying to make much noise on the old wooden floors as you descended to downstairs. Entering the kitchen, you made swift work of grabbing eggs for this morning’s breakfast. Scrambled eggs would have to do for today. You made a mental reminder to make more bread rolls today as you quickly set on preparing breakfast for everyone.
“Oh, Y/N.” You turned around to see Hisashi tying his hair up into a bun. His eyebrows were raised in surprise as he looked around. “You already started breakfast.” He let out in surprise.
You chuckled as you moved a hand down. “Good morning, Hisashi and it’s fine. Really. I don’t mind.” You shrugged it off as you continued on breakfast. “Is Shota and Hitoshi awake?” You asked as you moved to mix in the eggs into a pan.
Hisashi nodded his head. “Yep, Shota should be down any minute and Hitoshi is waking up Eri.” He reported back to you, moving to get water over the fire to boil for tea. You focused on your cooking, trying to make sure that you didn’t burn anything. You hummed to yourself lightly, as the savoury smell of food started to fill the kitchen. “So…” Hisashi leaned his head to look over at you with a light smirk, a glint in his light green eyes. “Any Alpha tickle your fancy just yet?”
You looked over to him in a mixture of shock and confusion. He chuckled at the look on your face. You shook your head. “Oh God, no.”
Hisashi shook his head as he moved to set the table. “Oh I know that’s not true. You’re a young Omega. I’m sure there is at least one Alpha that has you raising a brow.” He stated truthfully putting the plates on the table for the family of five in the house.
As much as you hated to admit it, there was one Alpha above the rest that had capture your attention, a bit too easy in your opinion. He was something you found to be a once in a lifetime type of Alpha. Large build, tall stance, absolutely gorgeous and came from such a big and loving family. He seemed like the perfect Alpha. The perfect Alpha to mate with, to care for you, to give you the whole nine-yards.
But you also thought he was way too out of your league, but man could an Omega dream.
You heard a loud gasp as Hisashi slapped his hands onto your shoulders and turned you to face him with a bright smile. “So there is someone!” He let out excitedly, having noticed the change in your scent. You tried to fight on the flush that threatened to come to your face, as you moved to grab some tea leaves. Before you could even answer,
“If there was, I’d kick their ass before they even got to knock on my door.” Aizawa Shota grumbled as he walked into the kitchen with his hands in his pockets. The dark haired Alpha frowned as he walked over to sit in a chair. He let out a yawn as he sat in his chair.
Aizawa had taken you in when you were but a little pup and you parents had passed. Him and Hisashi were unfortunately never able to have pups of their own but they did love all the ones they adopted and took care of. You, Eri and Hitoshi. They were such good parents that you couldn’t help but be so utterly grateful for all they had done for you. He was such a good sire figure to you, no matter how stoic and serious he might seem.
You smiled gently at him as you carefully moved to grab his plate and dish out food for him. Hizashi placed a kiss down on Aizawa’s forehead with a chuckle. “Now don’t be like that Shota.” He stated as he put his hands on his mate’s shoulders. “I’m sure that whichever Alpha came to ask to court Y/N would be worth listening to.” Aizawa let out a disapproving grunt as he stayed as stoic as ever, making Hizashi chuckle as he moved to get a cup of tea ready for the grumpy Alpha (to be fair, Aizawa was always grumpy in the morning).
You carefully made a nice warm plate of eggs and a bun onto his plate before putting it in front of him with a kiss to his forehead. “Good morning.” You greeted him with a gentle smile, before moving to put the same contents on Hizashi’s plate.
“Mornin’” Aizawa grunted out as he started to dive into his breakfast. You shook your head with a chuckle. Alphas were all very much like that. All hungry big packs of muscle and strength, and even Aizawa fell into that category no matter how much he thought otherwise. Aizawa watched you with a spectated gaze as he chewed on the scrambled eggs you made. He moved to grab something out of his pocket.
“Morning!” A chirpy voice let out as she ran in first followed by a tired Shinso. Eri had a bright smile on her face as she moved to sit on her chair next to Shinso. The little seven year old pup was in an active pursuit of trying to gain some independence and do more things for herself, however most of the time reverted to asking Aizawa for help.
Hisashi chuckled as he sat next to your chair as you drew it out for yourself. “Morning sugar tart and morning to you too Hitoshi.”
The purple haired Alpha let out a low yawn as he nodded his head with a wave, before settling with a low grumble. You chuckled as you waved a hand to him. Shinso nodded his head, picking up his fork. “Thanks for the food.”
Before you could answer, a heavy sack of coin fell on the table near you. Your eyes instantly moved towards Aizawa who had laid it near you before returning back to his meal. He motioned towards you, silently telling you to take it. “Take it. You’ll need it for today.”
Your eyebrows furrowed as you looked to the sack of coins. You picked it up and opened it to look inside. Your eyebrows raised in surprise at the amount. “What is there to buy?” You asked wondering what on earth he could be asking you to purchase with such.
“Potatoes.” He answered bluntly. Under the table you heard a hard kick making Aizawa perk up with a grunt. He looked over to his Omega with a glare, however the blond seemed rather unphased by the occurrence. Aizawa rolled his dark eyes, knowing that there was no fighting with Hisashi. “Its for your dress.” He told you honestly, settling his eyes onto you. “The Springtime Festival is happening soon. You haven’t bought a new outfit in a while so we thought you might want one for the festival.” He informed you, making your eyes grow wide. “Of course I feel against Hizashi’s implications of you dressing to impress certain gazes,” He commented glaring at his Omega. “Is not what I agree with but…” He then cleared his throat turning back to you. “You may go for a fitting and all that this morning before your chores and errends.”
You were speechless, not because you didn’t think that Aizawa and Hizashi would ever do this for you, but more because you didn’t expect it. You always tried not to be too much of a bother. They didn’t have to take you in, but they did. They took care of you and swept you under their wing. They took care of you and put so much money in for you, which was another reason why you always made sure that your chores were always done for them.
To say you were touched was an understatement. You swallowed down hard and pushed a smile to your face, trying to ignore the building urge of tears to come to your eyes away. You bowed your head and nodded. “Thank you. I’m grateful.”
Aizawa waved a hand down not wanting your tears or reaction (probably because he didn’t want to feel emotional himself). “It’s nothing, Y/N. Just remember to buy potatoes at the end of the day.” He reminded you.
The village of Yuuie was always bustling with activity and people. It was a harmonious village built on honest hard work and ensuring the benefit of everyone in the community. The morning sun was already up and most people had already started in their chores or jobs. You carefully navigated the main road, leaving with the fresh new coin you were given this morning towards the Bakugou’s Tailor shop.
You tightened your scarf around your head. Making sure to cover your head from the sun. You weren’t entirely sure how you became friends with Bakugou Katsuki. He was much richer than you especially with the Bakugous working in tailoring and dressmaking. They were one of only two dressmakers in Yuuie and they did a damn good job at it. However, your friend, Katsuki was surely a character.
You carefully moved towards the door, entering into the cool shop. They had just opened shop by the looks of it, which was the reason why you were the only one here right now. You carefully put down your woven wooden basket filled with an empty metal milk cannister. You wiped your hands on your apron over your dress as you looked around. The cool room had cloths and fabrics lining the walls to choose from with kimonos, dresses, pants and all other sorts of clothing on stands on display for anyone to see.
“Mr Bakugou.” You called out as you looked around, looking for Katsuki’s dam.
Bakugou Masaru drew away the curtain from where he was from behind. His brown eyes widened in surprise at the sight of you. He had his sleeves pushed up allowing his hands to access things easier. He smiled at the sight of you. “Y/N, good morning.” He greeted as he walked over to the side door that led to the main house. “Katsuki! Y/N’s here!” He called out to his son before turning back to you. “How can I help you, dear?”
You stepped forward towards him. “I wanted to ask if it were possible for you to make me a kimono for the Springtime Festival.” You asked with a bow at your waist.
Masaru’s eyebrows raised in surprise at your question. He let out a surprised chirp but then a smile went to his face. “Well of course, I wouldn’t mind. Come, come.” He motioned you to the back where he was away from eyesight. You carefully followed after him. Here he had a wooden block in the middle of the room as well as some rolls of fabric strewn around. He quickly moved around, ushering you to stand on the box. “I was waiting for you to ask. Katsuki said you would need a new outfit as well but I didn’t want to impose or anything.” He waved his hands trying to imply what he was saying. “So tell me what you were thinking?”
“Uh...” You let out a gentle chuckle as you kept your hands joined together in front of you. “I’m not entirely sure. What do you think will look good on me?”
Masaru turned to look at you with his eyebrows furrowed. He tilted his head not entirely sure on what tone would look good on your skin. He hummed as he picked up a roll of black fabric as he lifted it up to your skin body. His eyebrows furrowed in concentration as he thought about whether or whether not it suited you the best. “Well… I think that maybe…” Before he could continue on you heard a door open rather violently.
“KATSUKI!” You heard a familiar loud voice come from the other side.
Standing in the doorway was your best friend who had his eyebrows furrowed in a frown, naturally of course. He was always frowning. His blood crimson eyes were stuck on your very form moving over you with precision and scrutiny. His eyes flicked to his dam before looking back at you. “No.” He shook his head in disapproval. “No, I have not been embroidering butterflies and flowers for our kimonos for you to go and choose a colour that isn’t right.” He announced as he marched into the room with his head held high with such surety in every step.
You chuckled at the sight of him. “Hello Katsuki.” You greeted him, already knowing how your bestfriend acts when he has set his mind on something.
Katsuki gave you a grunt as a response. He grabbed a roll of fabric off the wall, your favourite colour and one that suited you well. He quickly moved around, minding the skirt of his dress as he did so. He was dressed in a similar apron and dress, that suited his figure. The Omega carefully marched back over to you, holding it to your skin. He hummed as his eyebrows furrowed. He looked to his dam. “This one.” He stated confidently. “This one along with the white butterflies.”
Masaru nodded his head in agreement, seeing what his son was saying. The two Bakugou Omegas began to discuss your outfit for the Springtime Festival and you could barely keep up with them. Katsuki began to measure your body like it was second nature. Taking measurements with a tape and telling his dam as he moved across your body.
He turned to look back up at you, the blond Omega assessing your body and the image of how you would look on the day of the festival in the outfit he had in mind for you. He put on a proud smirk on his face with a knowing hum. “With what we have got planned, you and I, my dearest Y/N, will finally snag ourselves an Alpha or two.” He proclaimed boldly. “There’s no way we can stay unmated with how we’ll be dressing. We won’t be spinsters any longer, I’m tired of it.”
You chuckled as you allowed him to measure your arm’s length. “Katsuki, we’re eighteen.” You reminded him.
He scowled. “And still unmated without pups. We might as well head to the capital and give ourselves up to a nunnery.” He grumbled making you and Masaru giggle in amusement.
The two of you had presented at the ripe age of twelve, a normal age for pups and immediately you were thrown into the studies of being an Omega in the Village of Yuuie. You had come of age, and it was important for you all to know what it entailed. Same thing happened with the Alphas around your age in the village too. The Omegas were taught by Midoriya Inko and Hizashi, while the Alphas were taught by Aizawa and Todoroki Enji (since he was the Head Alpha of the Village).
You were taught all about medicinal plants and practices, about healing, taking care of pack members as well as midwifery. You were also taught about pup rearing, homemaking and what was expected of you as Omegas especially when mated to an Alpha. All chores and jobs, you shadowed, following along the older Omegas in the village like little… well… shadows. That was all done until you finally graduated your studies at fifteen as full adult members of the pack, fulfilling jobs and chores and waiting for an Alpha to sweep you off your feet and claim you.
It had been two years of this and Katsuki was already getting impatient. But to be fair… your best friend was never the patient type.
“Okay… I think that’s all I need from you Y/N.” Masaru told you with a gentle smile as he closed his little notebook and put the quill away. He turned back to you. “Come back in a week and I should have it ready and waiting for you.”
You bowed your head in gratitude. “Thank you, Mr Bakugou.”
“Where were you headed?” Katsuki asked you as he folded his arms over his chest.
You turned to him, motioning to the door of the shop. “I was heading to the market. I need to buy vegetables and get new milk bottles before doing my chores.”
At the mention of milk bottles Katsuki perked up. His face already said everything, that he was coming with you. Although you already knew he would, but it was amusing to see it either way. “Great. Lets-”
“Katsuki!” A loud voice echoed as the sound of heeled boots went through the open door that led to the rest of the house. Katsuki stopped talking as his facial expression hardened. You saw Masaru grow tense at the voice. Walking to stand in the doorway was the Alpha of the house, Bakugou Mitsuki. She looked exactly like Katsuki, it was uncanny. Her face was strewn into a disapproving scowl, harsh red eyes on her son as she stood in the doorway. Her cold yet fiery eyes moved to you and softened at the sight of her son’s best friend. “Y/N. You’re here early.” She spoke truthfully as she folded her arms over her white tunic shirt.
She wasn’t wrong. You normally came over to do some of your duties with Katsuki a bit later in the day when your household chores were finished. You bowed at the waist towards, customary of any Sire of a family. “Good morning, Mrs Bakugou. I came to order a new kimono for the festival.” You informed her.
Mituski nodded her head. “That’s good. Katsuki’s been fussing over when you would come order a new one.” She then turned to look back at her Omega son. “Katsuki, go and finish your chores.” She ordered, motioning for him to leave the room and get back to the main house.
He moved to clasp your hand which you tightened your grip on him in response. He lifted his nose as he furrowed his eyebrows. “I have to go to the market. We need more milk and tomatoes, right Pops?” Katsuki asked as he turned to Masaru.
Masaru nodded his head affirmingly, which didn’t seem to sit well with Mitsuki. With Mitsuki present at home and them having just opened up shop, it made sense to you now why Masaru didn’t have his bonded neck tie scarf around his neck. He swallowed hard but stood his ground. “Yes… I wasn’t able to get yesterday before the market closed so I asked Katsuki to go with YN now before it gets too busy.” He explained.
Mitsuki was silent as she looked at her Omega. For anyone who knew the Bakugous and how they worked, they would know that Mitsuki thrived off of control over her family. The blond Alpha frowned, her face twisting into slight disapproval almost as if she knew it was a lie as plain as day. She motioned to the door. “Go, Katsuki. Be back in half of an hour or I’m fetching you myself.” She stated, turning around to head back into the house away from the lot of you.
Katsuki waited a second before huffing, pushing out the smell of his sire’s glycerine scent out of his nose. He turned to you. “Let me fetch my basket and coin and we’ll be off. I’ll meet you outside.”
Which is what you did. You waited until the blond Omega showed up outside, closing the door behind him. He had a matching headscarf to you, keeping his blond hair out of his face too. He had his basket resting on one arm while the other took yours, keeping the two of you together. You smiled as the two of you set off deeper into the centre of the village.
The village was already starting to bustle with life as the villagers woke up and already started their chores and errands for the day. You said your good mornings and waves here and there, Katsuki nodding his head beside you as you entered the stone square of the marketplace.
“Winter is finally over.” You let out sweetly at the warm sun that already started to spread its warmth down onto your village as you and Katsuki walked side by side.
Katsuki hummed with a nod. “Thank the heavens. I can’t stand the awful cold.” He spoke truthfully, with clear discontent in his voice. Considering Omegas ran colder than Alphas, you often had to wear more layers in winter thanks to that, but Katsuki always managed to get himself a cough or flu no matter how hard he tried. He was practically sleepy the entirety of winter because of it. “Let’s pray the Spring Harvest will be good enough to sustain us further into the seasons.”
“Let’s.” You spoke in agreement. “However, I heard from Hizashi that Miss Inko said that Izuku has been very busy with tending to the farm, so she thinks there’ll be a great harvest this year.” You told him the normal femme to femme gossip and chain of information. It was the easiest way to know things without asking directly.
Speaking of Midoriya Izuku, the large thick skinned Alpha stood at the rather large stall, already selling vegetables that he had. The green haired Alpha had his hat on his head already but a small sheen of sweat was on his forehead, the sleeves of his shirt pushed to his elbows, showing how much work he had already done so early in the morning. Koda, an adopted younger brother of Izuku, carried around a crate of mixed groceries down the road away from Izuku back in the direction of the Midoriya farm.
You and Katsuki took a place in the back of the line, just two people away from the front. It didn’t take long before the two of you were facing Izuku.
The large Alpha smiled at the sight of the both of you, a white grin with sharp canines gleaming. He tipped his hat to the two of you. “Mornin’ Y/N, mornin’ Kacchan.” He spoke with an accent to his speech.
You smiled sweetly at the large Alpha who always smelled of rich fresh earth and paper. He was a pupmate of yours and Katsuki, only being two years older than the two of you, like most of the Alphas of your generation and an absolute sweetheart. He was one of the Alphas most of the dams wished their Omega pups would end up with. “Morning, Izuku.” You bowed your head to him.
Katsuki scrunched up his face lifting up his nose, but tilting his head away from the green haired Alpha, keeping his eyes down and away from the Alpha. “Deku.”
Izuku chuckled as he folded his arms. “Kacchan.”
Katsuki looked him over, noticing his attire. “You look cleaner than normal… that’s suspicious.” He let out with a slight hum almost as if trying to figure out why.
The green haired Alpha chuckled. “Ma’s busy helping Mrs Fujita. The new pup is due and I haven’t heard much from her so I’m running the stall till she gets back.” He explained, satisfying Katsuki’s suspicions. He raised an eyebrow as he put his hand on the small bit of table he could, leaning forward slightly with a slight smirk. “Why? You like me smelling like a bed of roses, Kacchan? Tickles your fancy?”
Katsuki scoffed with a roll of his head. “It rather irritates my nose, were I honest.” His answer made Izuku laugh making the blond Omega ease at the easy flow of conversation between the two. They had always been close, despite the difference in secondary gender and how much of a little devil Katsuki was to him when they were younger.
Izuku motioned in front of him. “What do you two fine Omegas need today?”
You pointed over to the potatoes. “Some potatoes, please and cabbage too.” You told him as you handed over your basket, taking out the empty milk cannister and holding it in your free hand.
Katsuki did the same. “Tomatoes.”
Izuku nodded his head, always moving fast and efficiently always making sure to give the right amount that nothing would go to waste and it was just sustaining enough until you would come back. You and Katsuki already knew the prices well enough to recite them with your eyes closed, which is how you placed the coin down in front of him. Izuku passed over your baskets, scooping the coin into the pocket on his right. “Where yall heading now?” He asked.
You motioned to your right further down the centre of the village, not too far to the Kirishimas store. “We’re just getting milk, next.” You informed him. Katsuki nodded his head agreeingly.
Izuku pulled on an almost smug smirk. “Tell Eijiro I said hi when you see him.” He teased.
That made both you and Katsuki tense for a second. Katsuki scowled as he turned his head with a huff, pulling you along away from Izuku. “Come on, Y/N. Let us go before this rotten piece of broccoli corrupts us.” He spoke boldly only making the only Alpha of the Midoriya family laugh.
He tilted his hat to the two of you again. “See yall at dinner.”
You waved over to him as you and Katsuki turned to leave. “Thank you, Izuku.”
“See you later, nerd!” Katsuki said his version of a goodbye as you both walked towards the Kirishimas store.
The Kirishima family were cattle farmers. They sold milk and meat, an interesting combination but one that seemingly suited them. There were a really well-respected family in Yuuie, having been one of the first four founding families of Yuuie and were some of the nicest people you knew. The Kirishimas, although a rather big family, were also a very good family that many couldn’t help but idolise, especially in hopes of marrying into.
For a simple reason as any. The Alphas.
You entered the cool store, where Yua was, putting away used cannisters and moving them into a crate to be picked up soon. The dark red-haired Omega with strands of grey, perked up at the sound of people entering, and she put a smile on her face the sight of the two of you. “Good morning, you two.” She greeted as she dusted her hands on her apron and smiled. “How can I help you two darlings?”
Kirishima Yua was a wonderful Omega who had such a loving and caring presence to her that you couldn’t help but aspire to be her one day when you’re older. She was a mother to nine pups, a devoted Omega to her Alpha and incorporated herself into the community. She always wore her black and red neck tie scarf to muffle her scent, it was something all mated Omegas did, keeping their scents for their Alphas and homes strictly. However, they say the stronger an Omega’s scent it, the more fertile and more wanted they are and Yua was the closest thing to the standard for what Omegas were meant to be.
You and Katsuki bowed your head to her. “Morning, Mrs Kirishima.” You greeted on the half of both of you. “Can we get two new milk cannisters, please?”
“Of course.” She let out with a chirp.
Katsuki and you placed your empty ones in front of her, sliding them over to her, already washed and clean for her. Katsuki gave her a genuine smile, always having found her like close dam figure to him. She was like that for everyone, just like Midoriya Inko. “How’s Tamami?” He asked about one of her younger daughters.
Yua giggled as she waved a hand down before taking the cannisters off the table and moving to put them in one of the wooden crates. “She’s well. Just adjusting to being an Omega after presenting but nevertheless, she seems really excited.” She informed the two of you as she reached to the back wall, picking up the two heavy and full cannisters of milk.
“That’s good.” You let out a relieved smile, hearing that she was doing well. She had presented just a week ago and you were curious as to how the little redheaded Omega was doing now.
Katsuki nodded his head, agreeing with you. “Very.”
“It is and-” Something caught her attention behind the both of you. Her face lit up at the sight of someone. “Eijiro, come put the new ones back here.” She motioned behind her.
At the mention of her only son, the two of you turned around to see him.
The big hulking Alpha entered the store holding onto a crate of new filled milk canisters as if they weren’t heavier than you or Katsuki. The large Alpha was taller than the two of you by a head and a half and dwarfed the two of you exponentially. In size and strength, you could tell that he was an Alpha of such a high calibre just like any Kirishima Alpha. Big, thick strong skin with large muscles and tall domineering stance. His large hands gripped the wooden crate easily as his ruby eyes moved over to the two of you. A scar ran over his right eye, fitting his image and large burliness.
You had to control your scent as you tried to not get distracted by his thick muscles or his savoury scent of sweet spices and something baking in an oven. He smelled delicious and your Omega couldn’t help but salivate at the sight of him. Katsuki always had to remind himself the same thing as he watched the large Alpha pause at the sight of the two of you.
He looked between the both of you. He smiled down at the two of you. The large Alpha had always seemed to have a preference for the two of you, something you didn’t seem to mind at all (you were both quite happy about it actually. He was an Alpha of few words some of the time, at least to the two of you, but you thought that might be a Kirishima thing.
He nodded his head with a grunt. “Morning.” His deep raspy voice, a voice that sent shivers down your spines and had your Omegas whining let out as he greeted the both of you.
You had to remind yourself to greet him back and not just stare like an idiot. You bowed your head to him, baring your neck slightly. “Good morning, Eijiro.”
It took Katsuki a moment as well before nodding his head and doing the same, baring his neck just as you, in submission. “Morning, Eijiro.” He greeted back.
Eijiro didn’t say anything more, an unashamed rumble coming out of his chest at the greetings from the both of you. The sound of his approval made you both feel a rush down your back, a flush to your faces at having pleased in some way. Remembering his dam’s instructions, he walked over to the back, doing as he was told easily, not bothered by the weight of the milk canisters. His long black hair fell down his back, thick and down to his waist, easily reminding you of his sire.
Yua watched wordless at the three of you, looking between her son and the two of you. She sniffed the air subtly, noticing your sweet scent along with Katsuki’s caramel and burnt sugar scent mingling in the air a bit more than it was earlier.
She hummed with a small smirk, before clearing her throat. “You know, Eijiro over here just finished his house on our property. He worked so hard on it with his sire and his older sister, isn’t that right, Eijiro?” She spoke looking back at her tall son. Eijiro paused for a second at the mention of his name and nodded with grunt, before continuing on with what he was doing. “And you know what they say,” Yua continued patting a hand on her son’s back as she smiled at the both of you. “An Alpha might have a house but it isn’t a home until he gets an Omega to make it one.” She stated with a nod to her head, like it was a well known saying.
Eijiro paused again, looking down at his mother with a slight tilt of his head. He wasn’t entirely sure where his mother was going with this conversation nor what she meant exactly. He did however notice the both of you listening to her and that was enough for him to trust that this was some sort of a fruitful conversation. He then saw Katsuki flick his gaze up to him. The blond Omega swallowed down hard but tried keeping his head up, trying not to win at what he thought was a staring game. Eijiro found it amusing.
Yua nodded her head. “Isn’t that right, Eijiro?” She asked with a bright smile up at him. “You would do nicely with a nice Omega, or two, hm?” She asked with a suggestive wink. Subtly trying to direct his gaze back to the two of you. “You’re already a grown Alpha, you need a wife or two.”
Eijiro looked up at two of you. You looked down away from him, seemingly flustered and not wanting to meet his gaze, and so did Katsuki who seemed like his ears were the shade of his mother’s hair. Eijiro set down the crate for a moment an walked around the counter over to the two of you. You both straightened up at the random occurrence as Kirishima stood in front of the both of you. He leaned forward between the two of you, still keeping a customary distance.
Something Eijiro always loved about the two of you was how your scents intertwined and moved together so nicely. They suited each other so well. Everyone in the village knew that the two of you were a package deal, which wasn’t uncommon here in Yuuie. Families came in all types of numbers and shapes and members. It wasn’t uncommon that in their community, Alphas had more than one Omega.
What Eijiro loved most of all was how your scents would smell so good mixed with his own. He closed his eyes with a rumble at the smell of your scents meeting together in the middle Katsuki couldn’t help himself, pumping out a bit more of his scent unconsciously. You tried not to get flustered, knowing that this was probably just Kirishima being an Alpha. Alphas did that. They sniffed. It was kinda what they did. It didn’t mean anything. You tried to remind yourself as he let out a louder rumble than before at the smell.
He stood back, trying to control himself. He let out a chuft out of his throat in approval. “Festival.” He let out lowly.
You were too clueless at whatever just happened to answer. Katsuki cleared his throat, ignoring the slight need to push his thighs together. “The Springtime Festival?” Eijiro let out an affirming grunt. “What about it?”
“Together.” Kirishima elaborated simply. “Go together. Three of us.”
It was Katsuki’s turn to go speechless too. You blinked up at him wordlessly, also in shock.
Yua let out an excited squeal as she clapped her hands. “How wonderful! That sounds like such a good idea.” She praised her son, moving to scratch the underside of his chin. Instantly Eijiro relaxed moving closer to her hand with a hum. “You know, Eijiro, Y/N and Katsuki are making dinner tonight. You do love their stew.” She reminded him, letting go of him.
At the mention of stew, Eijiro hummed as he made his way back to the milk cannisters he was putting away. He licked his lips at the thought of beef stew. “Stew.” He let out, already salivating at the thought of it.
You quickly grabbed your own milk cannister, slightly shoving Katsuki to jerk him back to reality. You both took your closed cannisters. “See you later, tonight, Mrs Kirishima.” You let out nervously.
“And Eijiro.”
She waved a hand. “Bye sweethearts.”
You stood next to Katsuki as the two of you stood around the fire. You stirred the huge pot of stew for the pack dinner. It made the great hall smell delicious and appetising. You hummed with a smile on your face at the pleasant smell. Katsuki moved to add some sugar into the large put keeping an eye on the bubbling stew and the potatoes that still needed to soften. He nodded his head with a huff as he moved back to the oven.
You and some of the other young Omegas of the village were getting dinner ready in a room that led into the main hall. You could already hear chatter of the hall slowly filling up with pack members. The little shadow Omegas, including Kirishima Tamami who stood at your side paying attention and taking note of your ingredients and the time it took, watched at a safe distance not getting in the way but being close enough to see all the action around you all.
“He got it just for me.” Ochaco let out sickeningly sweetly as she showed off a wedding present bracelet that Iida Tenya had gotten her. She stood with two shadows and Pony. She giggled at the piece of jewellery. “Honestly, he is so sweet to me. I’m moving in with him soon soon.”
Katsuki rolled his eyes. If there was something he hated more than someone flaunting around the fact that they were being courted, he hated Ochaco. Now Katsuki didn’t mind when someone was excited about being courted. He was happy for Pony when she was courted by Sato, and was all hands on deck when their wedding happened a few months ago. However, when it came to the brunette Omega, he couldn’t help but get ticked off. “Well, he won’t want to marry you if you end up burning the bread buns.” He hissed as he swatted her away from the oven moving to check on the bread buns that were golden and ready to be taken out not a second longer.
The brunette rolled her eyes as she grabbed two towels to help Katsuki take out the other tray of baking buns from the hot fire burning oven. “Oh, don’t be like that Katsuki.” She let out softly. “A bunch of bread won’t determine how he feels about me. Although,” She started as she moved to set the tray next to Katsuki’s as he took the cloths and threw them onto his shoulder with a frown. “I can’t say the same about every Omega though.” She let out snarky.
Katsuki stiffened for less than a second but glared over at her with a scowl. He reached on top to the many bread baskets, taking them down as he started to put the buns in them. “The fuck you saying, squirrel cheeks.” He let out lowly.
You paused for a second, sensing Katsuki’s rising anger as clear as day. You motioned to Tamami to watch the pot, knowing she had experience with her own dam letting her cook, so you weren’t too worried. She nodded understandingly as the small new Omega moved to where you were standing. Mei was silent as she moved to help Katsuki move the bread loves into their little baskets, making the work faster, but also releasing some calming scents to try and silently calm the situation.
Ochaco shrugged. “I’m just saying, you can’t get an Alpha by your cooking alone. Alphas don’t like Omegas with such rotten mouths or manners. You pride yourself on being the best and yet which Alpha wants you?” She stated glaring at him from the corner of her eye with a gentle smirk on her face. She turned towards the oven once again.
Katsuki moved to try and grab her, but you quickly stopped him, putting a hand to the side of his face. “Katsuki, ignore her. She doesn’t know what she’s talking about.” You told him into his ear as you and Pony held him securely, restraining the blond Omega from effectively clawing at Ochaco’s eyes. Katsuki had a vicious scowl on his face as he let out a hiss at her, Omegan canines barred as he stood in your arms. You glared back at Ochaco but did your best to focus on Katsuki. You directed his eyes to you, anger on his face but hurt in his eyes. Pony put her head to his shoulder, with a chirp trying to calm him down alongside you.
“Come on Omegas.” Inko spoke as she clapped her hands as she walked into the kitchen. The round older Omega walked in with her head up and green hair pushed back into a ponytail. “Is food ready? We got a hungry pack waiting.” She paused as she noticed the tension in the room. She looked over at a rather smug Ochaco and then to a fuming Katsuki. She frowned as she walked further into the room. She let out a dam like hiss, sound making you all look to her. Her emerald eyes moving around to the lot of you. “Whatever is going on, we will deal with it later. Your Head Alpha is hungry as well as the rest of the pack. Now get the food out into the hall.” She motioned from where she had come from.
You all nodded wordlessly as you moved to get things rolling. Katsuki moved to your side, carefully taking woollen leather muttons to try and stop the heat as you both grabbed hold of the heavy pot of stew. Tamami stepped back, having stirred the pot to make sure nothing would get burnt at the bottom. You and Katsuki gave each other a firm nod before picking up the heavy pot, lifting with your legs and your arms as you made your way out, Inko keeping the door open for the both of you.
You both waddled over to the serving station, ignoring the hungry stares at the sight of the pot and the waiting food. You both placed it down without much issue, being sure not to spill a drop. The hall was already filled with hungry loved ones and people you’ve known since birth. The Omegas that worked alongside you and the shadows moved along with you, moving in tandem to get all the bread loaves out and another huge pot of mashed potatoes. It took a few minutes but soon food was ready to be served. You stood next to Katsuki who masked his emotions on his face with a head held high.
The huge Head Alpha Todoroki Enji, stood up first, his first wife, a silent white-haired Omega stood with him as well as his pups, Natsuo, Fuyumi and Shoto. He made his way to the front with his large plate in hand. At the sight of the Head Alpha of the pack, you all bowed at the waist, head hung low as you said your greetings.
The large redheaded Alpha had his piercing cold electric blue eyes on all of you, before resting on you. He let out a grunt as he extended his arm. The grunt was permission to raise your heads. You carefully took the ladle and made swift work of plating the mashed potatoes for him. He then moved forward to Katsuki who added on the stew and then to Momo who plated a bread bun for him. With Enji having his plate of food, and making swift work of diving in to eating the moment he sat down, the rest of the hall made easy and quick work of getting up. You smiled and greeted everyone, the pups coming first as they were main priority, along with any pregnant Omegas and then the rest of the pack.
Once everyone had had their first servings, all of you who had cooked and served got your own and made your way to sit together, all the young Omegas you had learnt beside and were friends with, plus Ochaco, moved to your own table not too far away from the Alphas table themselves.
“I’m a bit worried.” Izuku said as he chewed on a piece of beef. “Rabbits don’t come up dead for no reason.”
Todoroki Shoto hummed as he nodded his head. The red and white haired Alpha, although being the youngest son of the Head Alpha was one of the more civilised Alphas of the bunch. He wasn’t big into the more physical work like the others, and was following Aizawa into teaching. He put a hand to his chin as he thought to himself. “We have already taken away all the bunny’s natural predators around the farm and the village, they should not be a problem then…” He spoke as he thought, gears working behind his heterochromic eyes. “Might there be wolves that moved into the area.”
Shinso let out a displeased sound as he took a bite out of the soft warm bread bun that he had.  “The watch never reported wolf tracks.”
“They stay away from the village most of the time, either way.” Kyouka spoke as she crossed her legs and looked around the table. “But it wouldn’t hurt to have them look out for tracks.”
Shoto hummed as he nodded. He then looked to Eijiro who was practically devouring the food on his plate. At the feeling of eyes on him, the wolf stopped and looked around the table. He let out a grunt, wondering what it was for, only making some of his friends laugh.
“Hungry, Eijiro?” Tenya asked amusedly, adjusting the glasses on his nose.
Eijiro nodded his head as he stuffed more stew into his mouth. He sat up and motioned down to his plate. “Y/N and Katsuki’s stew. Been looking forward to it all day.” He let out lowly.
Sero Hanta let out an amused laugh. The woodcutter, leaned back for a second as he tilted his head at the sight of the large black-haired Alpha. “You have your eyes on the duo then?” He asked amusedly. He received a low but short growl which only made the others laugh. “I’m just asking.” Hanta spoke, putting his hands up in defence.
Izuku hummed as he glanced at the Omega table to the both of you. “Katsuki and Y/N are cute.” He spoke making Eijiro stop midway as his ruby eyes flicked to the green haired Alpha next to him. Izuku perked up before looking at the other Alpha. “They are. They’re good Omegas, beautiful, would make good mates. However, they do go together, so if you’re going for them you gotta go for both.” He reminded him.
The others nodded in agreement. Eijiro hummed in agreement as he sat up, furrowing his eyebrows. “Like potatoes and beef.” He commented only making the others laugh.
However, Eijiro was actually thinking about it. It wasn’t that he didn’t like you and Katsuki. Quite the opposite actually. Eijiro wanted a mate. He really did. He just was often busy with work on the farm that he didn’t really have much thought about it until recently. It was often said that an Alpha who built a house would get an Omega less than a year later. Kind of one of his hopes right now.
Now from all the Omegas he knew, you and Katsuki had always been a favourite. You were close with his dam and anyone close to his dam had his respect. However, what he like about the two of you was how well you complemented each other and how much you suited one another. He loved Katsuki’s spitfire personality and his hard and honest work, he also loved your dedication to your family and the pack around you and your loving nature. It was perfect in his mind. His mother nailed the head in the coffin when she seemed rather eager this morning on pushing him towards the two of you.
He was suddenly very glad that he asked to accompany you two at the festival, he hoped that maybe if he was brave enough, he might just end up with two Omegas to hold and to claim by the end of Spring.

What BNHA Got Wrong: Actions and Consequences
Hoo boy... this fucking topic.
Actions and consequences are a rather simple concept, do something and expect something to follow up whether it be something good or bad. Very simple right?
Well in BNHA... it's completely twisted.
For example: Shota Aizawa and just how he acts overall.
This man literally plays god with the fate of his student's future in UA and has the fucking audacity to be all
"You all lost my trust and now you'll have to work on earning it back."
And then there's the way he treats Izuku as a whole when Bakugou is literally a walking red flag. It's fine if Bakugou goes around calling people mean nicknames and yelling die every ten seconds, but it's wrong for Izuku for not knowing how to control his quirk that he literally got a few days ago and for "supposedly" agreeing to fight with Bakugou after curfew.
Oh, and the guy's also a hypocrite for getting onto All Might for playing favorites but does it with Shinsou over his entire class.
Now none of this would be a problem if someone actually called him out on his bullshit and hypocrisy and be like
"Hey! You're kind of going against your own logic you placed and haven't done shit for this class."
But... nobody does. They literally treat him like he's this super genius that has done so much for these kids and is a second parent to them when in actually, he's a bum that sleeps most of the time.
Then there's Bakugou... do I even need to explain?
But one thing I WILL talk about regarding him is the difference in how people say
"Well he lost the Licence Exam and died in the war! Those gotta count as consequences!"
No, not really.
Those would count more as KARMIC consequences than something directly linked to the horrible stuff he's done.
Not ONCE do any of the characters call either of them out for their actions nor do they face any consequences for their actions, but they're PRAISED and looked upon fondly where the characters that DO face consequences doesn't deserve it.
I.E Izuku with the House Arrest and Sero with the final exam.

・Aizawa think you can handle your own but if you get hurt seriously then he babies you for your recovery period.

Round 4: Chara Dreemurr (Undertale) vs. Ken Amada (Persona 3)
Tumblr media
Propaganda below the cut
Chara Dreemurr (?):
They were constantly blamed for killing all of monster kind in the no mercy route, despite players choosing to go that route. People ignored that they sacrificed themselves to attempt to free the monsters from the underground.
----
everyone wants to blame their own actions (genocide route) on chara, who is a literal child. i don’t know how to tell you this but you are the one playing the game. it’s about YOUR CHOICES. chara is there is punish you for that, you killed the only family that ever loved them! how could they not be upset at that! also if you don’t mind, here’s a good video essay on the subject
youtube
Ken Amada (11):
y'all are all for "murder and revenge plots" until is a 10 y/o boy who watched his mother die and started to become conflicted after realizing his moms killer is a secretly kind traumatized teenager to the point where the 10 y/o boy attempts to kill himself by giving himself up to assassins.
bro he's 10.
----
ken amada is such an interesting character with the unfortunate circumstances of having little screentime and atlus deciding to ruin his reputation forever by giving him a romance choice in the fem protag route. ken is a child who lost his mother at NINE. nobody ever believed him when he said that she was murdered, and that he saw who killed her. hes miserable, and all everyone around him does is give him sympathy while hes suffering and was forced to grow up before even going into middle school. hes angry and determined to get revenge on the person who killed his mother, and he doesnt even see the own value in living anymore beyond getting that revenge. hes more mature than most of his peers, and is desperate to be seen as an adult.but at the same time, he is still a child who likes superhero shows.
----
OH GOD WHERE DO I START
First there's the normal "The fandom hates kids" complaints of "He's so whiny" "he's so annoying" "oh my god kid just SHUT UP" y'know, the typical fandom stuff that makes you wonder if these people have ever talked to a child in their life
Second, there's (spoilers)...
October 4th, and the ENTIRE FANDOM is calling this kid a murderer.
For context, the moment in question doesn't necessarily paint him in the best light but its still understandable. Your team is going on a mission while Ken and another character named Shinjiro are away. In an alleyway, they have a talk where it is revealed that on that night a year priar to the game, Kens mom was killed in that allleyway by Shinjiro's Persona (Which, by the Rules of the Game Lore, basically means By Shinjiro). Ken tried to tell the authorities, the authorities didn't believe him because Magic Reasons and the death was ruled an accident.
Of course Ken is Fucking Pissed and wants revenge
However, because of Talk, he ACTIVELY CALMS DOWN, and realises "Hey, I probably shouldn't kill someone. Despite them, y'know, killing my mom"
HOWEVER REVOLVER JESUS COMES IN AND RUINS EVERYTHING BY SHOOTING SHINJIRO. AND LIKE, IF YOU PLAY P3P YOU CAN /AVOID THE DEATH THING/
AND EVERYONE BLAMES /KEN/. AND ONLY KEN.
And third (yes, there's a THIRD) IS THE FUCKING FEMC ROMANCE THING. WHICH JUST...SHOULDN'T HAVE EXISTED IN THE FIRST PLACE. BUT NOW HE'S "SHOTA BAIT" BECAUSE WE HAVE TO BLAME THE CHILD FOR THE AUTHORITY FIGURE COMING ONTO THEM 😒

What I think is annoying with how critics are handled in universe they are painted as straw men, and that is SO bad when you are trying to prove your point in an argument. Instead of trying to see the other side, and look at your OWN argument with a critical eye, and trying to see the other side's point. Or they get "called out" for what they're doing or it's a comedic moment. Like, Monoma could have been an excellent character. Monoma calling out 1A's shit, and getting them to rethink their stances is an interesting idea. Like, what if one of them has a not so great moral idea, and Monoma calls that out. He can still act weird, but just to paint Monoma as basically 1B's strawman against Bakugo critics and just dumbshit he sees around him is just wow. Like when Kendo was telling Dekusquad a vantage point that 1B could have used to one up 1A, dude was literally right???????????????????? It's like those fan comics of character A defending character B while the one in the wrong is portrayed via a speech bubble or gray humanoid thing. But it's just in canon format. God, it's so annoying. Why do people only get called out via characters Horikoshi likes?
Oh 100% agree with this. Rather than actually try to engage with the arguments/criticisms the other side has, he loves painting them as straw-men and belittling them.
One big example is that furry fat cat guy who mentions that it’s over for Endeavor when Dabi revealed what he’s done. The dude’s drawn to be such a caricature of a stereotypical loser that we’re not supposed to take what he says seriously.
Neito’s another example. When he criticizes Katsuki he’s always painted in such an exaggerated light when doing so to the point no one’s supposed to take him seriously, and is always proven to be “wrong” despite being right in his dislike for Katsuki.
The journalists and civilians who criticize the heroes and U.A are seen as pests, vultures, ignorant, and people who believe/dish out straw-man accusations. As a journalist, this offends me. Yeah, there are journalists/companies that are vultures looking to push one side of the story, but to treat a profession that’s not only saved lives but uncovered corruption with such sustain makes the “good guy” look worse in comparison. In addition, despite Hori trying to paint them as in the wrong, all these journalists were asking the right questions and all the civilians had very rational thoughts about the heroes who’ve failed them. Rather than acknowledge these points, Hori has Shota or whoever’s his mouthpiece of the chapter make them look like idiots… even though it backfires and anyone with half a braincell can tell Hori’s arguments collapse when even slightly challenged.
When Rikido and Fumikage harp on Katsuki for not changing, it’s treated as a “haha funny” moment rather than an actual callout.
The prison guard who questions AFO about something and tells the man to actually give him an answer instead of the typical “AFO knows everything” is also treated as a gag despite that being a good criticism of AFO as a villain.
In conclusion, rather than meaningfully engaging with the arguments against his themes and story, Hori relies on painting critics as straw-men and cartoonishly stupid people to make a point. This would be fine if he was pointing out how dumb racists are or something along those lines, but when trying to convince us that the your side is right, this strat fails spectacularly against anyone with somewhat of a brain.

Shinso Angst!! He feels like there is a connection with you but it's one sided and he is delulu, ending with a broken heart
Okay, sorry for the wait. This ended up being over 18 pages, so I decided to break it down into three separate parts. So, I'll post those between working and posting my other requests and such. But for now, I hope you enjoy the first chapter.
Tumblr media
You were like an angel. An unwavering force of determination and kindness. With the wave of your hand and a bat of your eyelashes, you had others at your feet as a God or Goddess should. You also happened to be the source of his inspiration, fueling his desire to join the hero course. “To be part of their world, would make me...complete,” not only that, but to have you as his was his ultimate goal and he’d do anything to achieve it. An audible sigh escaped Shota as he hunched over in his seat, his hand pressed against his forehead.
Even through the long strands of hair that would normally obstruct his vision, his stare was directed at Hitoshi. He already knew by the stern expression of the boy’s face, and his stiff posture that there was no possible way to convince him otherwise.
However, that didn’t mean he wouldn’t try. He took a deep breath and leaned back. “Love isn’t a motivational factor to want to become a hero,” he said, his tone harsh but still holding a hint of concern for the young boy before him.
Hitoshi clenched his jaw, knowing better than to argue despite the strong urge to do exactly that. Instead, he closed his eyes and took a calming breath. “That may be,” he replied, “but...” Shota interrupted him with a groan, and once again placed his hand against his forehead.
‘Is he too far gone to be reasoned with?’ he wondered. Not that he necessarily blamed love for everyone’s problems. But kids were impressionable and impulsive. Sometimes they had to learn the hard way, as much as that broke his heart. And in cases of heroes falling in love, it was even worse. “Be careful,” he said, standing from his seat.
He slipped his hands into his pockets and carefully approached, glaring down at the boy before speaking again. “Love always ends in heartbreak for heroes.” Hitoshi tightened his fists and soft cracks filled the air, but this small act didn’t stop Shota from leaning down, becoming face-to-face with the boy.
“You think you can handle that?” He asked, that hint of concern still evident in his voice and he received the boy’s glare in response. “I said yes,” he replied before glancing away but Shota noticed those deep purple eyes wavered with hurt yet determination.
“Since I met Y/n I’ve felt a connection,” he admitted, his cheeks turning the faintest pink. “I know they feel the same,” he stated and Shota raised his eyebrow. ‘Delusional,’ he thought. Nevertheless, he didn’t believe that Hitoshi’s ‘feelings’ for you were harmful.
Even if they were, he would ensure that nothing happened to you. He leaned back and clasped his chin. The rough texture of his stubble tickled the palm of his hand but didn’t distract him. “Do you believe becoming a hero will make Y/n love you?” He asked, he wasn’t trying to be negative.
No, rather he was trying to break the news to Hitoshi that you didn’t feel the way he claimed you did for him. Given that you were his student, he would have noticed if you had feelings for anyone. But as far as he could observe, you didn’t hold any affection for anyone.
Hitoshi glared at him before hissing, “Are you willing to train me or not?” Shota narrowed his eyes, even if Hitoshi’s desire to get trained in hopes of transferring into the hero course was to capture your heart, he couldn’t deny the boy a chance to prove himself.
After all, Shota himself had transferred into the hero course during his second year at Yuuei. He’d be happy to repay the favor if he could. He just hoped that Hitoshi would see things for how they were, and even if he didn’t, Shota would steer him in the right direction.
“Fine,” he said, giving a defeated sigh. “I’ll train you if you’re serious about being a hero,” he stated, “if you aren’t might as well turn and walk away now.” His face turned grim, and a dark and intimidating aura surrounded him.
This was an example of why he was considered one of the scariest teachers at Yuuei and had one hell of a reputation. However, Hitoshi was unwavering and nodded in response. “I am,” he had come this far and knew that once you found out he was potential hero material, you’d be his.
After all, you were the first person to believe in him. Of course, that was years and years ago. A smile came to his face when he thought about it. The two of you didn’t even know anything about the world back then, or where your futures would lead you.
But he did know that he would follow you to the ends of the Earth and do whatever it took to capture your heart. And so, he began his training under Shota, it was a struggle figuring out how to properly use a capture scarf at first.
Not to mention all the extra training he had to do, like hand-to-hand combat and regular exercises to gain muscle mass. Rumors began to spread about his progress, and that he was preparing to possibly transfer into the hero course.
He suspected the rumors started because Izuku and his friends spotted him with Mr. Aizawa one day. Not that it mattered, he wasn’t doing this for them. He was doing it for you, and it didn’t take long before he was given the okay to join a training exercise between Class A and Class B.
Mr. Aizawa informed him that based on his performance during the training exercise, he’d either stay in the General Studies Department or transfer to the Hero Course Department as he desired. However, before anything happened, Hitoshi needed to take care of something.
He had been thinking about it since that day when the two of you were small and he couldn’t wait any longer. He was certain you’d return his feelings, the two of you had a connection after all and nothing could break it. The only question was how and where he would confess to you.
From having observed you for as long as he did, he knew you were constantly surrounded by your friends. Izuku, Shoto, and Katsuki to be exact. He was envious that they had gotten so close to you while he barely touched you.
From the beginning, it seemed that you were miles ahead of him, and no matter how hard he chased, you only got further away. But this time would be different, he was going to catch up to you. This was the only thought in his head as students piled into the hallway at the end of the day.
Several of them brushed against his shoulders or squeezed past him to get to their lockers. As much as he hated that, he was focused on making his way to the Class A room. While his original intention was to confess to you, things took a turn when he peered inside.
His heart skipped a beat when he saw you sitting on top of a desk with one leg casually folded over the other. You were leaning back slightly, with your hands pressed against the desktop. Your gaze was steady and sparkled with a sense of happiness that he wished to bring you.
However, as predicted you were surrounded by your friends. At least Shoto and Katsuki, and the sight of them interacting with you made him frown and dig his fingers into the wood of the doorframe. “Yeah, Aizawa sure was something today,” you commented, laughing lightly.
“Hm, was he really that bad?” Shoto asked, being as naïve as ever, and while you could only smile at his childlike nature, Katsuki had another approach. “What the hell do you mean by that damn icy-hot?!” He growled, his spikey hair standing on end. His anger seemed to subside seconds later, however.
“His training exercises were fine, only the extras had a problem with it. Including that damn Deku,” he stated, crossing his arms. “If people can’t handle simple training assignments, they’re not meant to be heroes. Might as well quit now,” Hitoshi’s eyes widened at those words, and shimmered with recognition.
As strange as it was, he agreed with Katsuki. Nothing happened without action, and so, he’d follow through with his plans. Push himself to get into the hero course so he can be with you always. He’d show others that he had what it took and prove that he was the only man you should have eyes for.
After all, it was you who said his quirk was fine. His steps echoed through the room as he approached, and he ignored the looks he received from the students who were still present. He couldn’t help but smile when your head turned, and your eyebrows knit.
“Oh…” you said hesitantly, “it’s uh, you.” Katsuki and Shoto glanced at you before looking at Hitoshi. “What the hell do you want?” the angry blond asked, glaring at the purple-headed boy. Meanwhile, Shoto glanced at you again and leaned closer.
“You…know him?” He asked, his voice soft although he could feel Hitoshi’s glance on him and more than likely knew he had heard him. Still, you looked at him and placed a hand on the side of your mouth. “Hardly,” you replied in a hushed voice, “we went to the same elementary school.”
Shoto tilted his head. “Same elementary school?” He repeated, and although you were annoyed by his clueless nature sometimes, you nodded. “Well?!” You looked at Katsuki who was now standing in front of Hitoshi, you could imagine the look of anger and the snarl on his face.
Hitoshi, however, seemed indifferent and you found it slightly strange that he began to smile. It was twisted, like a villain who had caught someone in the middle of their web and a shiver went down your spine when he looked in your direction.
“I just wanted to say…” he slumped his shoulders, sighing. Every fiber of his being was screaming to confess to you but with Katsuki and Shoto present, he decided to say something else. “I’ll be transferring into the hero department soon,” his words weren’t spoken with confidence, but rather with a monotone coating.
“Huh?” You replied, raising your eyebrows. Shoto remained confused, and Katsuki was snarling his teeth. “Tch, what are you talking about, dumbass?” He demanded, pointing his finger at Hitoshi. “You aren’t hero material, it’s as simple as that. Accept it!”
Although you felt bad and knew that as a hero you should defend all kinds of justice, including when others bullied someone, you had noticed the odd way Hitoshi looked at you and that almost predatorial glance in his eyes when he did so.
‘Was he like that before?’ Thinking back, you couldn’t recall yet you also couldn’t deny the uncomfortable feeling that consumed you whenever he was around. So, you remained quiet, even if you knew it was the wrong thing to do.
Hitoshi growled, feeling his heart swell with anger, his eyebrows slanted, and his eyes filled with a certain hatred as he glared at Katsuki. However, his gaze then shifted to you, and all at once, that anger vanished, and the darkness that filled his eyes all but faded away.
‘Right…’ he thought, ‘I’m doing this for Y/n…not this idiot,’ he gazed back at Katsuki. “Heh,” that smirk returned to his face, and he turned around. “Well,” he said, glancing over his shoulder. “Guess I’ll show you what I’m made of,” his tone was arrogant, and made you knit your eyebrows.
“Mr. Aizawa agreed to give me a shot during your next training exercise,” he paused, letting his words sink in. “I won’t hold back,” Katsuki ground his teeth together. “Doesn’t matter if you held back or not, I’ll still beat you, damn extra!” He shouted, his nose practically seeping with steam.
Hitoshi remained quiet and walked toward the door. You felt a lump form in your throat when he paused and looked over his shoulder again, only this time his gaze was directed at you. The sight of his twisted smirk sent another shiver down your spine, and you let out a breath when he finally left.
“Jeez,” you fisted your hand into your hair while Shoto looked at you. “Is something wrong?” He asked, but before you could answer Katsuki shouted, “Of course something is wrong!” He glared at the two of you. “How can you two just sit there and act like everything is fine!?” He demanded, stomping his foot against the floor.
You sighed, sliding off the desk before grabbing your backpack and throwing it over your shoulder. “Doesn’t matter…” you said, trying to get the image of Hitoshi’s smirk out of your mind. “Let’s go,” you said, walking past Katsuki with your head hanging low and your eyebrows furrowed.
“Huh, wait…” Shoto half-heartedly held his hand out but decided at the last second to just follow you out of the classroom. “Pff, fine you two leave!” Katsuki called, not having much interest in walking back to the student campus now.
Even when the cool air hit your face and the sound of grass and dirt crunching underneath your feet echoed through the air, your thoughts were on Hitoshi, and his odd behavior. As much as you distaste thinking about it, his actions toward you were odd and you wondered if anyone else noticed the way he stared at you.
“Y/n,” Shoto called when he caught up with you and successfully snapped you out of your paranoid thoughts. “Huh? Oh…hey,” you replied, noting how his dual-colored eyes narrowed as if he were suspicious of something. “What?” you asked, finding his expression a little intimidating.
“You said you knew him,” he replied. “Who, Shinso?” You asked, raising your eyebrow. He nodded, and another sigh passed your lips. The sound of distant birds chirping caught your attention before you spoke, “Like I said we went to the same elementary school.” You turned your gaze to the sky, watching a few clouds pass by.
“I don’t remember much about him to be honest; he was always the kid that was by himself,” you shared before shrugging. “He was always upset about his quirk too, and the other kids made fun of him,” you said, “I talked to him before I relocated, but didn’t expect to see him again.”
You looked at him with a cocked eyebrow. “Did you think there was something more between him and I?” you asked. “No,” he replied, noticing the cluster of student campus buildings ahead of you. “But he was staring at you...I just thought...” he paused, deciding it was better not to push any more information out of you.
You frowned and lowered your eyebrows. “Yeah well…” you huffed before realizing. “Wait,” you grabbed his shoulder, making him stumble back and look at you with wide curious eyes. “You noticed the way he was looking at me?” As expected, your question was greeted with a confused expression.
“Looking at you? What do you mean?” You sighed, placing your head against your forehead. “Just…he gave me a weird look that’s all,” you shook your head. “Maybe it’s nothing,” you said, trying your best to shrug it off as you walked up the steps to the student campus building.
If you were being honest, you still wished that you hadn’t encountered Hitoshi again. It never crossed your mind that the two of you would decide to attend Yuuei. Even if you were in two separate departments, you wanted to keep it that way.
Unfortunately, you soon learned that Hitoshi wasn’t bluffing about wanting to become a hero student. Like many of your classmates, when Mr. Aizawa announced that Hitoshi would be participating in the training exercises between Class A and Class B, you could only look in shock.
“What?!” You hissed out, catching the attention of your classmates. Katsuki crossed his arms, unlike you he just looked plain annoyed. “Well guess the extra did it,” he commented before taking a deep breath. Like he said before, just because Hitoshi was trying to prove he was worthy hero course material didn’t mean he’d hold back.
“Mm…” you latched onto your lip, curling your hands into fists, and praying to whoever or whatever would listen that Hitoshi wouldn’t be on your team. “Now then…” Shota looked at Sekijiro and silence lingered between them before he looked back at the students.
“You’ll be placed into groups of three for today’s training exercises,” you winced, not that team training exercises weren’t your thing. But most, if not all the time everyone decided to go their own way when put into groups which kind of defeated the purpose.
Your eyes shifted to Hitoshi, who remained standing by the teachers. If that was the case, if you kept your distance from him then everything would be fine. To your dismay, the first team consisted of yourself, Katsuki, and Shoto while the second team was Hitoshi, Neito, and Setsuna.
The disgust on your face must have been prominent given that it caught Katsuki and Shoto’s attention. “What the hell is that look for!?” Katsuki demanded, bending his knees with his hands clenched into fists. You turned to him, wondering if you should mention the look on Hitoshi’s face.
That oh-so-smug smirk directed at you conveyed that he was already contemplating you to be his target for this training exercise. “Why are you shouting?” Shoto asked. “Mind your own damn business icy-hot!” Katsuki snapped, while you tried to smile.
“It’s nothing Todoroki, don’t worry about it, heh…” you felt terrible for lying, but what other choice did you have? You didn’t understand why Hitoshi was giving you these looks, or why he seemed so fascinated with you. But you did know that it had to end.
Whether his fascination came from the small interaction the two of you had as children or not, you’d make it clear that you wanted nothing to do with him. Not that you had anything against romance, but heroes simply couldn’t afford to fall into it.
At least not when their hero career hadn’t even started. Shota narrowed his eyes, glancing between Hitoshi and yourself. He was aware that Hitoshi hadn’t taken his advice seriously, and yes, he may have purposely rigged the match so you two had no choice but to face each other.
Something had to break, and if that something just so happened to be Hitoshi’s heart, then so be it. He was aware that this sounded cruel, unfitting for a teacher even. But the way the boy looked at you wasn’t so much with love, but rather delusion.
‘So, what will be your move to break that illusion?’ He thought, allowing his gaze to linger on you before motioning for Sekijiro to follow him. “The match will begin shortly, take your positions,” an eerie silence fell over the training ground as each of you looked at each other before running in the opposite directions.

“I need you to look at me, Shota. Shota, Shota, please.” You cupped his face in both hands, urging him to stay awake. The scorching temperatures of Dabi’s wild blue fire breathe down the back of your neck and particles of dust rub against your throat, but all you can see is him. A blinding ache throbs in your forehead and your limbs were covered with scrapes from pulling people from the rubble. It didn’t matter; nothing else mattered but him.
“Stay with me, darling, stay with me.” Exhausted, bloodshot eyes blink back at you and a calloused hand brushes up to cover yours. You push your quirk to work faster, faster, but Aizawa’s fading consciousness made it difficult as you could only heal while the recipient thought about something they loved. He’d coached you through powering your quirk solely on your own thoughts, but the progress was nowhere near what was needed to heal his broken body. For his survival, you needed him to stay awake. He’d lost dangerous amounts of blood after severing his leg, and you silently cursed him for his selfless heroism. “Damn you and your commitment to justice,” you sob, voice breaking but unable to muster any tears because it would break your concentration.
“Ambulance ETA five minutes; just hold on a little longer,” Manual reports, kneeling at your side and pulling beads of sweat from your face and out of your eyes. You nod in assent and whisper your gratitude to him before he leaves again to search for survivors in the city’s rubble.
Something felt wrong from the moment you parted ways with Shota, who refused to let you accompany Team Endeavor when they raided the hospital. In all the years of your private relationship, you’d never fought over something as significant as this, so significant that you’re screaming at the top of your lungs at him. You’d shook your head in disbelief when he turned his back on you, arguing that Team Endeavor needed to have a healer with them. You’d seen the damage Nomus had done firsthand, both to the city and to the man in front of you. Frustration met indignancy in your mind like tectonic plates, slamming into each other and lacing venom in your voice.
“You don’t think I can do it, can you?”
“Stop it–”
“No, I won’t. You don’t think I’m strong enough to be out there with the pros,” you continue, hissing the word like it was wrong to have in your mouth. “God forbid you forget that I’ve healed every single one of those assholes at some time or another, whether they knew it or not. And you still think that I can’t handle this, Shota?”
He won’t look at you. He still won’t fucking look at you. “Darling–”
“Don’t ‘darling’ me. I’ve proved on two fucking thousand occasions that I can heal at a level pros need, so why don’t you think I can do it? Because you’re embarrassed by me? Because you’re embarrassed by us?” His head finally snaps to look at you, eyes glistening.
“Because I need you safe!” His blank face finally breaks, twisting in emotional anguish. “I need you safe; I need you alive. I need you to be okay because I don’t know what I’d do if you weren’t.”
He’d held you so tight on the last night you spent together, like if you two just stayed there, time would stop and the morning wouldn’t come. Then, he was gone, slipping on his boots and wrapping his shoulders with binding cloth. You watched him get ready from your bed while the sky was still dark outside, and he kissed you on the forehead before walking out the door, whispering a promise to come back to you. Halfway between sleep and awake, you didn’t tell him to promise to come back in one piece.
And now, here he was, missing the lower half of a leg and still losing so much blood that the ground beneath your knees was starting to soften. Your shoes dig into the earth, tattered and bloody after your desperate sprint from the backline evacuating citizens to the heart of the conflict. You risk a look over your shoulder and see Best Jeanist straining against Gigantomachia bathed in the light of red and blue fire. The Nomus continue their assault on Best Jeanist, but you barely make out Lemillion and Nejire pushing them back. You caught flashes of blue, recognizing it as Shota’s student with the engines in his legs, and made note of a boy with a mop of green hair who looked in worse shape than his teacher.
“Ambulance! Clear out, clear out!” A hand came to your shoulder, ushering you back and away from Shota. You dodge the arms guiding you toward a separate ambulance, limping across the battlefield to the kids you recognized as Shota’s, the green-haired one, the spiky-haired blonde, and Endeavor’s youngest son; you push your quirk past its limit, conjure an image of Shota feeding a stray cat a potato chip, and heal the three boys as much as you can before paramedics catch you as you lose consciousness.
You’re awake much sooner than the rest of those involved in the battle and within hours can visit hospitals and heal others critically injured. When you receive word from Hizashi that Shota was finally conscious, God help any hospital staff that tries to stop you as you storm into the lobby and insist on seeing him. One more “Visitation is only permitted for family members, ma’am” away from throttling the lady at the front desk, someone calls your name from the hall, waving excitedly. It’s Sero, who spouts some bullshit story about being yours and Shota’s adopted son and drags you down the hall before any of that information could be verified.
“He’s in here, Miss Aizawa.”
“Oh, no, we’re not–”
“Oh, right. Well, not yet at least,” Sero smiles and then leaves you to enter Shota’s room.
And then there he is.
He’s wrapped head to toe in bandages and his eyes look a little worse for wear, but he’s alive, and the corners of his mouth turn up when he spots you frozen in the doorway.
“Hey, baby–” is all he gets out before you stumble forward and bury your face in his bandaged shoulder. His arms wrap gently around your waist and he takes a deep breath, more at ease than he had been since he woke up. You pull away slightly and scan his face through watery eyes, mentally verifying that he’s real and that he’s okay. Brushing a stray hair from his face, your fingers linger on his stubbly cheek and he leans into your touch.
“You promised to come back, but you didn’t come back in one piece, you foolish man.”
“Would you have preferred that I not come back at all–” he deadpans, but you place a finger on his mouth to shush him. “Right, touchy subject. I’m sorry, love… for everything.” His voice trails off and he looks away from you, face taut with guilt. “We lost. The heroes, the people, the students. I can’t express how angry I am at you that you dodged an ambulance and went to heal my students, and how grateful I am that you still healed me too.”
“Of course, love. And I’m sorry that I thought you didn’t believe in me. I know you do, and I’m sorry for lashing out. Plus, your students are really good kids, but if some of them are already starting to call me ‘Miss Aizawa,’ I think we might have to talk about going public with this whole thing sometime soon,” you reply, pressing your lips softly to his forehead. He closes his eyes and sighs, looking back at you with so much exhaustion in his handsome features that you wanted to murder anyone who got close. You must have looked terrible too, you realized, as Shota drew his eyebrows together in concern and moved you to lie with him on the hospital bed.
“Rest now, darling, I promise I’ll still be here when you wake up.”
“You better be, or else I’m dragging your dumbass out of the beyond and killing you myself,” you whisper before putting your head on his chest and relaxing into safety.

Hey, how are you doing? Firstly, i'll understand if you choose not to answer this ask since the subject is controversial and kinda heavy
We currently have at least two pedos in the story, like, actual pedos (the guy obsessed with Liliana and the creepy butler that i forgot the name) and then tappei's writing in some things is just... weird?
I get that subaru and beatrice are supposed to have a sibling relationship, but it just weirds me out
And he keeps adding loli characters with questionable designs too
What is your opinion on this? Its something i manage to ignore, but it still weird me out a little
hi anon!! :o thanks for asking how im doing pfft im doing pretty well - though i am a college student and its This Time of Year (end of semester) so im hanging in here lmao 👍
also ok as for the topic at hand!! yeah no i 100% hate it. ive been thinking about rezeros flaws lately because the further you get into watching/reading rezero the Clearer it gets. its mostly fine at say, arc 1, but by the time you get to arc 5 or arc 8 its like. What the hell. This again?? so yeah its 100% understandable to be weirded out and uncomfortable by it because tappeis writing is frankly Gross sometimes.
(okay also yes this ask has minor or major arc 5+ spoilers yes and also. You know. detailed discussion regarding rezero sexualizing children.)
yeah so tappei writes problematic things into rezero regarding both women and children especially, and while theres exceptions its like. very Prevalent in rezero. i talked about it a bit in my last ask if youd like to check that out!! but yeah like. i hate how children are treated in rezero. its very Problematic a lot of the time.
tappeis writing follows very similar patterns regarding treatment of children and women that you see in a Lot of other anime/manga/japanese media - and media in general, really, but im sure most anime watchers / manga readers will know what im talking about because its unfortunately That common. we're all seen this. like fan service shots, lolis and shotas, etc etc. but rezero is a little more insidious i think, just because tappei is capable of writing good characters regardless of age or gender. and theres Less of stuff like fan service - or at least rezero is a little less obvious about it or its just seen less in rezero, but thats also because media in general is so in your face about it and Unfortunately Common so rezero looks like a tiny bit of paradise in the middle of a barren desert.
i mean look at the amount of people who've thought rezero was a harem anime until they watched rezero - rezero seems like an outlier but thats only because its just a tiny bit less gratuitous and it still has a lot of good writing. and also because i am pretty sure the bar for media like this - especially media in rezeros genre (isekai) is Extremely Low. like depressingly low. and despite rezero being a deconstruction of isekai, rezero also contradicts its own damn messages sometimes about treating others like the People they are, respecting others Personhood, treating women well, etc. and its easy to see that the moment you look at some of otsuka's artwork and designs for rezero or if you look at all the rezero merch mainly based around the girls and Sexualizing the girls and its like. my god this is a little depressing to look at. rezero is just a tiny step in the right direction away from say, misogynist shounen/seinen media thats also weird about kids or something, but then rezero trips and falls on its own face after taking several right moves.
the problem is that these problematic aspects are still there, theyre still clear to see if youre paying attention, and often character arcs start well but then fall flat despite the good foundation. and then the problematic aspects hammer the already Poor/Inconsistent Writing into the ground which it makes it Even Worse.
like louis is a great character. shes fascinating, really. and then you hit arc 7 and she regresses immediately into the mind of a toddler so we only get to see her amnesiabaru/Suffering From Rbd arc in arc 6, her confrontation with subaru, and then BAM its arc 7 time and now she is an entirely different person????? i remember raging the further i got into arc 7/8 and realizing she hasnt gotten any development, she just changed instantly. it just feels lazy to me!! unless tappei proves me wrong and writes her developing but right now louis has spent two goddamn arcs being subaru and rems loli prop/daughter prop/a plot device to use in battle, basically. okay sorry i got passionate there but i SWEAR it gets on my nerves a bit. the louis/spica conflict now would feel so much more thrilling if she didnt have her weird half assed arc 7 development.
like if i was really in the fantasy world, of course i wouldnt vote to kill spica, shes innocent now. she doesnt know shit about her crimes, shes a whole other person now. she didnt do those things. she is an innocent child. i did a poll on this a while back actually haah and yeah a lot of rz tumblr, including myself, voted to let her live for this reason!! but also like. narratively speaking. i do not care about spica at all. shes a blank slate, shes just there to move the plot, she is taking up space in the plot right now and she does not need to be here forever. i 1000% want her dead hah. yeah shes this cute little kid now, but again, she got zero development. why should i care about her?? all the interesting things about her in arc 6, all the potential that couldve happened out of her gradually going from her arc 6 self to someone who genuinely cares about rem and subaru is gone. If we actually saw this change, personally id care more about spica and be invested in her character but as it stands im really Not. and i think if we saw her actually Develop a lot of us readers would be more invested to see this conflict out - not only because our Favs are fighting over it, but also because we’d actually care about spica. Like. im not sure how many people actually care about louis past arc 6, but yeah thats just my personal thoughts on it.
And also the Other big flaw with louis’s character is tappei once again being creepy regarding kids and. Okay im gonna show an excerpt from the arc 6 WN (iirc ch60 to be exact?) and yeah fair warning because it is once again sexualizing a child (louis). But also im putting it here in case anyone wants to see some vivid proof of rezero being weird about kids. Im not sure if this was cut from the LN version or not but the fact that it exists At All makes me want to put tappei on a watchlist.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And okay i know you might be thinking about how louis represents the sin of gluttony anyway and gluttony includes sexual or romantic desire too and how having louis, who looks like a child, say this makes it even more Offputting - like. Yeah. but is it Necessary? because making louis, WHO LOOKS LIKE A CHILD, say all this and then use descriptors like “expressed a bewitching smile unsuited to her age” - is this Actually necessary? You have to be careful writing this sort of thing, because a child/character who looks like a child saying things like this due to being, you know, Mentally Unwell, is different from Emphasizing What Theyre Saying By Sexualizing Them via the narration and descriptions. And why is the sexologist line there?? its just frankly uncomfortable, to an unnecessary extent, i think. I just dont think we need all this emphasis on louis’s body, louis’s apparent “arousal”, or how her smile is “unsuited to her age” (this is the narrative once again sexualizing a child), and plot-related sex/sexual content in rezero is kept to a minimum anyway so you could also literally just have louis be weird about “loving subaru” without the sexual aspect. Because she literally just said that she was aroused by him. she looks like shes twelve at most and then in the arc immediately after this one she regresses back to having the mentality of a toddler!!! and then shes subaru’s daughter there.
And again, i know that the whole point of this scene is to be off-putting and disturbing and wrong in all sorts of ways (and also subaru tries to kill louis a page later so like.) but i think if youre going to keep the appetite=sexual desire detail (which IS a good point about gluttonys nature, on its own), then this scene absolutely needed to be handled better than what we got when the character saying this is a child. you can write a child sexualizing herself because shes frankly Unwell or Doesnt Know Better, because this is fiction and you can write sensitive topics like this with proper care, but if you, the author, are sexualizing this child, then that is a Whole Other Thing.
or you can entirely dodge this whole debate over whether or not this is actually okay to write by making louis look older. but tappei went with this route once again in a sea of rezeros various child characters despite the fact that tappei then decides to link sexual desire to the sin of gluttony, which is a sin occupied in rezero by three children. I know ley has a very traumatic backstory, and the specific details are escaping me but iirc he was likely a slave or something along those lines, with implications that hes been abused by adults, so you could delicately handle what kind of abuse he Couldve unfortunately had to go through, and also of course roy and louis are clearly not okay in the head either, but. Once again. Children in rezero Not Being Sexualized in some way is a rarity. Unfortunately.
you see this pop up again and again and again. petra? Yeah iirc theres a side story where shes weird about subarus underwear. Correct me if im wrong on that but also i would not be surprised if that was a real side story. Unfortunately. Also theres Uncomfortable lines regarding petras chest.
according to rezero wiki, schult is… well iirc al makes creepy comments about schult being a shota (and of course this isnt really called out in canon), and theres also these two details about schult:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
also regarding sin archbishops who look very young, capella represents lust and yet she also looks like a child. i know the point of her design is to make her a bit grotesque, but you can get that point across without making her look fifteen years old at most. this is the sin of lust too. and shes already called “Mama” in canon—she doesnt need to look that young!!**
also side note about pandora. she also looks like a child, which—its okay with her, except for the frankly lazy outfit design imo?? why is she wearing a bedsheet??**
** another edit: its easy to see capella and pandora as women also, but again, tappei and otsuka In General keep mixing up short/young women and Children and it should be easy to tell if pandora and capella are children or young women or not. but i dont feel that its clear enough given tappei and otsuka’s Track Record.
and typhons design with the see through skirt is so creepy and disturbing that im Really glad the anime fixes it most of the time. heres the fixed version:
Tumblr media
but also the anime Really doesnt fix it as much as it probably should, because her dress is Still see-through in some shots. you can even see a bit in this shot—we dont need to see her lower body area like That!! this skirt doesnt need to be see-through!! and the bar was already in hell anyway because otsuka makes typhon’s skirt Really see-through.
Tumblr media
theres also this photo of typhons design and its Way better without that see-through skirt.
granted, there is some good child character designs—felt’s arc 1 design frankly sucks though purely because of the way her outfit is handled. like its Really bad. it takes only like one look to see that. but her arc 5 design is a Huge Improvement:
Tumblr media
characters like meili, schult, child subaru, etc have good designs too, but you know, this doesnt change the Creepiness regarding children, because this also applies to subaru and Some Lines about him in arc 8 iirc. if i find them again ill talk about it another time (or if someone else finds it feel free to add on to this post?) but yeah just. urgh.
regarding felt again, theres a scene in a felt camp side story where she wakes up naked in bed, post arc 1, after reinhard kidnaps her to his mansion. and yeah, the whole point of the scene is to show reinhard is kind of dense and bad at reading social cues because hes still trying to talk to her very civilly while shes covering herself with the bedsheets and she Literally just got kidnapped by him, but, say it with me, she doesnt need to be naked. she couldve woken up in bed in her usual clothes and the point still wouldve come across!! WHY is she naked??? shes fourteen.
and also like capella, liliana looks like a child. and of course theres kiritaka, as anon said, whos obsessed with liliana, and then theres clind, the creepy butler. and of course tappei has “deniability” because lilianas not Really a child (she STILL looks like one), and clinds not Really a pedophile, he just likes youthful souls!! (this is literally disgusting.) and clind may have interesting lore or whatever about how hes kind of involved with the sin archbishop of melancholy but i just dont give a shit about him when hes a pedophile that tappei keeps excusing.
also mimi? mimi is a Special Case.
the thing with mimi and her brothers is that its implied in the kararagi girl and cats eye side stories that kittypersons (??) are fully grown by age 1. theyre rescued from dying on the streets but they insist theyre “fully grown” (at age 2-3). they havent changed physically at all. and they dont change physically at all later, because now in the Present Day they all look Exactly the same as they did when they were 1, 2, 3 years old. did they grow mentally???? theyre like 14-15 in the main route. and then you look at aganau route from the lost in memories mobile game which takes place around twenty (??) years after arc 3, and mimi is a grown woman and she looks exactly the same as she did when she was 14 or 2 years old. and then this makes her romance with garfiel a little weird because hes a normal fourteen year old??? but mimis been fully grown all this time??? what??
Tumblr media
this is mimi. yeah, she and her brothers look EXACTLY this age their WHOLE LIVES.
and meili? yeah shes definitely one of the better child characters, though she does have an Extremely Traumatic backstory and has had a habit of copying elsa. this on its own is fine and understandable. elsa was her only support and shes a child, of course shes gonna copy elsa. though iirc she also copies elsa’s “flirtatious” aspects, which is honestly also understandable given elsa is a Questionable Influence, but this detail about meili’s character gets worse when you think about it in the context of all the other child characters—
why is it that all the children tappei (and otsuka) keep sexualizing are in the same age range? theyre about 9 or 10 to 14. louis stops being sexualized when she reverts to being a toddler and becomes subarus daughter. felt stops being sexualized when she turns 15 in arc 5. emilia is the main love interest to subaru and shes apparently “mentally 14”?? and shes tappeis favorite character too? but also mimis case is so weird because shes been “fully grown” since the tender age of ONE YEARS OLD?? well also i sure hope im wrong on this point but given the amount of child characters that fall in this age range and also how Often theyre all sexualized and also the majority of them are Young Girls—yeah its. its not a great look.
(and again a side note about meili again—tappei uses similar descriptors that he used for louis: that its “inappropriate for her age” and that she’ll “attract many men in the future”. tappei stfu. please.)
subaru’s lolimancer title is kind of funny. maybe. until you remember rezero being creepy about kids. and also like—i dont like the idea of tying a word like “loli” to the literal main character of the story anyway skdnd. theres just Connotations to it.**
**EDIT: i was told that “loli” is apparently a fan translation thing, while in japanese its “little girl user”, but in an inoffensive way (like Jojo’s “stand user”). make of that what you will!! (not great that the fan translation makes rezeros already poor treatment of kids Even Worse.)
and also—was subaru, al, medium, etc turning into children really necessary?
like in subarus case, its so he can have more ego, more confidence, more recklessness while being nerfed a bit and being mistaken as the emperor’s son—but at the same time, this just feels like a watered down version of the amnesiabaru arc to me where he has more ego, more confidence, more recklessness, and hes nerfed, but then he learns to love himself more. it just feels too similar to the amnesiabaru arc imo. him turning into a child feels very unnecessary imo and it doesnt look great when you remember tappei and otsuka’s fixation on children. literally arc 8 would be exactly or almost exactly the same if subaru was back to his usual 18/19-year old self. but he has to keep being a kid right now because Plot, apparently. then again if anyone disagrees with me on this feel free to explain your stance!! but yeah as of rn i just want subaru to be back to his usual age.
also tappeis weird about young priscilla/prisca and lamia but i havent read the ex novels about them yet so i cannot go in depth 👍 but just know you get nice lovely lines (sarcasm) like “flirty way she caresses her own thighs”. great!!! thanks tappei for fanservicing underage teenage girls once again!!
and again, treatment of child characters / characters who look younger than they are in rezero—this is so so creepy also as someone who does in fact look younger than my age. and im also Very Short (4’11) too. so like. thanks tappei and otsuka!! i feel very comfortable right now 👍
and women are often infantilized in rezero which you can. Easily connect to the pedophilia, yeah. theres also age gap romances in general, and i mentioned emilia already (yeah. emisuba is an age gap romance.), but theres also ram and roswaal, frederica and clind, anastasia iirc gets described Weirdly sometimes because shes a short flat-chested woman, and recently theres been madeline and balleroy having a small moment (that feels. Romance coded. iirc.) in an arc 8 chapter.
they look like this by the way:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
thanks tappei and otsuka once again for the creepy writing and designs that actively work against all the good parts of the damn story 👍
on a lighter note, i think beatrice in general + beatrice and subarus relationship is one of the better parts of rezero—iirc theres nothing creepy about it, and beatrice and subaru are very easy to read as a sister and brother relationship. theyve helped each other out in many ways, and theyve grown Very close by the time we see them in arc 5!! you could. Technically see their relationship as a father-daughter one too, but i dislike that take—not for bad reasons, but just because i feel like it doesnt fit them.
the thing with beatrice though is that shes simultaneously A Child but shes also like. 400 years old. so i do wish the narrative balanced that more post-arc 4–not in a creepy way of course. god no. but in the sense that shes mature in a lot of ways!! shes familiar with death and suffering!! shes intimately known Isolation!! that sort of thing. shes the one whos closest to subaru because of how he helped her in arc 4 (“choose me”), and also because she knows about his self-harm and heals his injuries. shes someone who can deeply understand subaru in a lot of ways in this sense, at least. the way they support each other feels more like a sibling bond to me and not a Parent-Child one just because youre not Really supposed to be leaning this much on your child for support. theres a power dynamic to a Parent-Child relationship, and beatrice and subaru are Equals.
plus echidna gaslight gatekeep girlbossed both of them, so theyre also siblings in that sense hah…
but yeah correct me if im wrong on that though regarding beatrice and subaru and im missing something?? but yeah as far as i remember and as far as i can tell, i think theyre actually one of the least creepy parts of rezero hah :,)
and then because this sort of thing is Unfortunately so common in media like rezero, we’re kind of conditioned to try and ignore it so we can keep reading or watching because its Everywhere. i still enjoy some of rezero, but its hard to ignore All Of This. and i think its important not to turn your brain off to it and recognize whats Wrong here, yeah. (unless it makes you so uncomfortable that you have to stop looking at rezero, which is very understandable.)
but yep. thats rezero for you.

4x02. This is a Sebaciel post. :)
Tumblr media
Sebastian? Complaining he has a lot on his plate? Careful, friend, you're becoming too much like a human. Also, you kind of signed up for this.
Tumblr media
Yeah, the trick is called sell your soul to a demon to avenge your parents' death and your own rape. Easy as that, hope that helps!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...
Isn't this just Grell in a uniform? or the Undertaker?
Tumblr media
This cracks me up. Poor Seb. x)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then they fucked. x)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hey! Where did *Professor* Michaelis go? Make it kinkier.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gods. The way they role-play. His real teaching method? SHOW ME. Show me Seb on his knees kissing Ciel's feet and making him blush as he trails up and closer to his crotch.
Tumblr media
They. <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like? Was I NOT supposed to ship them? The looks that they give each other. And Ciel is so quickly dressed, no doubt by Seb as well. And the way they wish each other a good night at the same time. Yaaanaaaa. These two are married in a way (as in Seb will have his soul & for now there's a contract binding them). Sorry, I'm not normal about them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The way Seb laughs at his reaction and teases him. This is them. Also, why is Sebastian looking so so slutty this season? The eyes, the hair, the clothes. THE LOOKS he gives to Ciel.
Tumblr media
Okay then.
Tumblr media
Another demon? Hey, I'm still traumatized by Claude. I don't like where this is going. I probably need to read this arc to be more prepared.
Tumblr media
Are they going full on comedy? I mean, that's funny, but not exactly this show's style? Also, can't he just become a big black blob and spy on them? He's literally a big void. Surely it's better than the human's form.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
YANA??? IS NOT A SHOTA ENJOYER??? LMAOOOOOO. They're at it again. HE is at it again.
Tumblr media
They give the viewer a moment of silence for the imagination to roam. And since the last time I read SebaCiel, it was sex in this thing? And I'm sure it was based off this moment? And when Seb turns someone on, it usually leads to sex? I'm thinking to that woman in the barn that he fucked on what, s1? Yeeeah.
Tumblr media
Oh, I have visions and ideas. The growling/moaning during this scene, too? Y e p.
Tumblr media
Oh, I'm glad to see him, but why are manga readers sad about his appearance? Tell me all the spoilers, please. Prepare me for the heartbreak, if you will.
Also, I low key expected the ending credits to be something extra and that it'll change, but the fact that it's an ACTUAL ending? Like, Seb catches him in the sky and gazes into his eyes while Ciel gazes back into his and they hold hands? That's gay af.

Funny thing that happened once
One of my older sisters, trying to get me to watch one piece: “There’s this one character that I really like, he’s named Zoro.”
Me, casually leaning against the kitchen counter: “Let me guess, he’s a tired older man?”
Her: “…How’d you guess that?”
Me, looking at her: “[sister’s name], I know your type.
She didn’t even know she had a type in anime men
Her: “…My god, I do have a type.”
Me: “Of course you do— two of your other favorite characters are Kakashi Hatake and Shota Aizawa”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also extra thing— am I the only one that thinks Ponyo’s dad looks like a redhead Aizawa? Just another conversation I had with her
Tumblr media
If you don’t know Ponyo, I feel bad for you./silly
But really it’s an older anime movie and it’s engraved in my childhood

Catching them staring
Tumblr media
Navi
Ft. - Aizawa, Deku, Todoroki, Hawks, and Bakugo
Warnings - Swearing, Hint of spiciness in Keigo's, tooth rotting cotton candy fluff.
...
Aizawa Shota
Tumblr media
° You were the new teacher at UA, you were teaching science to the students which happened to be only a couple doors down from his classroom. Aizawa only heard of you from his students, Kaminari and Mina going on and on about how nice you were. Often helping them raise their grades by tutoring them after classes.
° You were preparing to grab a coffee before your next class arrived, but you noticed Mina's binder was left behind on her desk. You hurried over to class 1a, wanting to catch Mina before her next class. Quietly entering during a lecture, you caught Aizawa's attention immediately. His lecture stopping mid sentence, as his dark eyes gazed at your timid stature.
° Denki greeted you from his seat, being shushed by both Iida and Jiro. You waved to the blonde boy, handing Aizawa Mina's hot pink binder. The one she thought she lost, so she had written on loose pieces of paper instead of her binder for notes. Despite being an introverted person, many students noticed that Aizawa was being quiet for a different reason... They all could see his longing gazes at you.
° His tired eyes never left your lips as you softly explained why you had to intrude his class, he reassured that it was okay and even sent you a soft smile. The class was stunned by his new persona, he seemed interested in your quiet conversation, was often seen smiling, and even laughed when made a joke about someone on the staff.
° The small chat went on for a few minutes, only the students up front were able to hear it. You admitted you had to get back to your class, knowing they'd be arriving soon. So Aizawa walked you to the door, waving a small goodbye before watching you walk down the hallway. God... Were you ever gorgeous, you've made Aizawa completely smitten in a matter of minutes.
"When's the wedding Sensei?" Mina teased, making her classmates laugh as a small tint of blush formed on his cheeks.
"Shouldn't you all be finishing up your papers?" Aizawa pointed out, still hearing small chuckles from around the room.
...
Midoriya Izuku
Tumblr media
° You sat at opposite ends of the classroom, yet Midoriya never failed to look your way whenever your attention was else where. Many other classmates have witnessed his staring, some even calling him out. You never noticed his eyes on you, too busy on your school work to care about anything else.
° You sat alone at lunch, reading a book as you ate. Midoriya still kept his emerald eyes latched onto you, he sometimes didn't even mean to start staring at you... It just happened. You were magnetic and he was a walking tin can, wherever you went his eyes followed. That is until Iida snaps him out of it, asking why he won't just talk to you already.
° While waiting by your locker, you noticed Midoriya and his friends walking down the hallway. While glancing towards them, you were caught by his shimmering doe eyes gazing towards you. Despite both of you heating up, neither of you looked away, his friends were in their own world as Deku got lost in yours. After what felt like forever, you tore your eyes away as the bell rang.
° Deku gained a bit of confidence after your silent interaction, instead of glancing at you every so often during training... He decided he'll actually talk to you for once. Catching you during a water break, he softly hummed for your attention from behind you. Midoriya bashfully complimented your techniques during training, even though you were only doing basics.
° You thanked him despite knowing he was only finding a way to talk with you, finding his bashfullness cute you decided to continue the brief chat. Both of you talking about heroes, hero costumes, all might, the entrance exam, and new upcoming heroes. Despite feeling relieved that he was finally talking to you, he was also a bit worried since seeing your smile and laugh made him fall even harder for you.
" I should get back to training, thanks for the chat Izuku." You cheered, rushing over to Momo who began waving you over seconds ago.
"You finally talked to l/n, I was close to talking to her for you." Iida commended, adjusting his glasses while he smiled at Deku.
...
Todoroki Shoto
Tumblr media
° You have caught Shoto's attention since day one, at first he thought your quirk was interesting, then he admired your techniques, then he admired you kindness... And finally he realized that he had a crush on you. Something he personally never thought he'd have until after high school.
° Uraraka was the only one who picked up on his longing glances, and small smiles whenever you were near. Which is why she was the first to tell you about the news, it was her job as your best friend after all. You thought she was overthinking it. Shoto Todoroki zoned out a lot, and he was definitely not the type to have a crush on someone. He was a stoic golden hero in training.
° Uraraka wasn't going to give up on her cupid game that easily though, oh no no no... She was going to gather evidence. With the help of Tsuyu and her camera, they followed around the youngest Todoroki in hopes they will find him being all lovey dovey over you. They found a few nice photos of him blantly staring at you with a shy smile, with his friends, alone, in class, no matter where he was his eyes were on you.
° Tsuyu and Uraraka placed the photos in front of you during lunch, both of them smiling proudly at their work. You were surprised for two reasons, the fact that they practically stalked him around school, and the fact that Uraraka wasn't overthinking it... Shoto was always looking your way. A joyful grin spread across your face, maybe this meant his liked you!
° Just as you were about to speak up about the matter, both of your friends hurried to hide the photos as they noticed a looming figure walking towards your table. Shoto stood beside your seat, looking down at you with soft eyes but serious expression. He gripped onto his gym bag, clearing his throat softly before greeting you and your friends. Shoto looked so cute without his usual cold demeanor, he came off as an introverted softie who was nervous talking to you.
"There is a group project coming up, and I was wondering if you would like to be my partner? You are very skilled in class, so I want to get to know you better." He asked, avoiding your eyes.
"I'd love to." You accepted, watching his heterochromic eyes widen in surprise. His fluffy multy colored hair failing to hide his reddened cheeks.
...
Keigo Takami/Hawks
Tumblr media
° Keigo was released from the hospital last night, bandages covering where his wings once were. You have been by his side throughout every sob, angry rant, and interview. Keigo couldn't be more grateful to have you in his life, it was touching knowing that he finally found someone who he could walk through the thick and thin with.
° The moment he walked through the door, he needed to repay all of the love you've given him over the past month. Passionate kisses, clothes spread across the floor, and a very sleepless night was what you both needed after such a heartbreaking and tiring month. Keigo took charge for the night, feeling the need to pamper you after all of the pampering he's received.
° 11:30am beamed red against Keigo's groggy expression, his eyes flickering open cautiously as the day light blinded him. Keigo didn't want to get out of the house at all today, all he wanted to do was spend time with you and eat some greasy take out. He turned his messy bedhead towards you, smiling gently at your soft snores against his pillow that you stole whenever you missed him.
° Keigo laid back down, shuffling closer to you so you'd huddle into his warmth. His calloused fingers running against the shape of your face, watching your eyebrows furrow cutely by the ticklish feeling. He's in awe as he looks at the love of his life snuggling into him, he never thought he'd actually find someone. Keigo believed the closest thing he'd get was a hook up.
° But here you were, slowly waking up as you wrap yourself around your muscular boyfriend. Once you opened your eyes, you were met with Keigo's soft warm gaze taking in everything he's seeing. Despite being a couple for two years by now, his loving looks never failed to make you flustered. Especially when both of you are huddled up against each other completely naked. Even if it flustered you, there was no denying that you loved every second of it.
"Kei you're staring." You whispered with a small laugh, only getting a quiet chuckle from your lovestruck boyfriend.
"I can't help it if you're always drop dead gorgeous." He teased, pushing you on your back so he could press kisses all over your face.
...
Bakugo Katsuki
Tumblr media
° Bakugo hates what has happened, you were Kirishima's best friend and recently one of Bakugo's closest friends. But his heart just had to get in the way of an amazing friendship, he can't help but love everything about you and it hurts like hell. It hurts because he knows deep down you wouldn't want to date the class gremlin, the one everyone was scared of.
° He knew he had a lot of baggage, even if he was strong in missions he knew he was weak when it came to love and affection. You would look better with someone like Kirishima, Sero, or even Denki. Despite loving you dearly, Bakugo thought you could do much better than settle down with a messy explosive gremlin. Which made him sad, and much quieter than usual.
° Kirishima noticed his best friend's odd behavior, Deku got a high score and Bakugo didn't even let out an annoyed huff... Something was wrong. Kirishima asked Bakugo privately what was wrong, begging him to answer honestly. Knowing that Kiri wouldn't let up easily, Bakugo admitted his crush in you. Shocking his best friend, he never would've thought Bakugo go would want to date anyone.
° Kirishima revealed that you may have a crush on Bakugo as well, telling his friend about the many times he's seen you fawn over him. Being the hype man he is, he told Bakugo to take a chance and ask you out. It didn't have to be face to face, it could be through a call, text, letter, or even someone else. He reassured that you would still be his either way, knowing how kind you are.
° Bakugo wrote a small letter with two boxes at the bottom, yes and no. He rushed to place the note onto your desk before class started, his heart hammering in his chest despite his stoic expression. His ruby eyes followed your body as you sat down in front of him, softly taking the note in your hands as you scanned through it. He watched you take out a pencil and scribble something down onto the paper, unable to read your expression since he could only veiw that back of your head.
"I can't wait for our first date then." You whispered, passing him back the note with your address written on the bottom.
"Yeah, me too." He commented, a smirk playing on his lips even though he was genuinely shocked you agreed to take a chance with him.

How to use strategy to follow the G1:
The first tip I am going to dole out is just pay for njpwworld. It's like 7 bucks USD and you won't be fighting for your life on the high seas. When signing up, use Google translate and sign up with the site in Japanese. Once you get logged in, switch the site language to English and you are good to go. For some reason the site bugs out if you try to register in English. 🤷
Secondly, NJPW posts all of the cards and the order they are in ahead of time. You can check on the schedule page. The results page on the same website will give you just that, the results. This is going to be key so if you are fast forwarding to watch just one match, you know where to stop. If there is a change in the card for any reason, they will announce it at the very start of the show, on Twitter, and on the website.
Now, you want to get a feel for the storylines? Your best bet is to watch the backstage comments. The only people that get in-ring promo time on these tours are the winners of the main event. Everyone else gets to be unhinged backstage. There are three places you can find the promos; njpwworld, njpwworld Twitter, and Youtube. They go up pretty quickly and get subtitled, but give the translators a day to get the subs up. YouTube will have them broken up by match, Twitter is by person, and njpwworld is all of them in one long ass video. Be warned: some people might do A Bit during the whole tour. Kenta absolutely totally didn't shill his book. ELP kept eating hamburgers. Jay White had the ToJay show. You get the point. It's wild. You'll find the ones you want to watch.
Now, if you are watching live, godspeed. The air times are always on NJPW Global's Twitter account. They usually have a few time zones listed. Your best bet is to just set a clock in your clock app to Tokyo time.
If you are watching live, there are no commercial breaks so you'll need to learn where is the best place to do bio breaks. You can always just go during a match you don't care about, but there are a few key times that always will work. The first is during Naito's entrance. Second is during Shota's entrance. Both of them take at least 5 minutes to get to the ring. Another good time is leading up to the start of a Yano match. This can be hit or miss depending on his opponent, but his in-ring intro is decently long. Another good time is after a match where they fucked up the ring or removed the corner pads. It'll take the Young Lions a few minutes to put it back and you get an extra cushion of time where you can miss the entrances for the next match and be fine.
Some miscellaneous tips:
Don't fuck up your sleep for this. It'll be tempting. It's not worth it. You'll enjoy the experience better if you just put it on when you have the time after work or school. The replays go up almost immediately after it airs so if you are using the subscription, you'll have it. These are 3 hour long shows. Just watch at your pace.
The NJPW codecs are shit so the video quality will be trash on the website. There is no way around this. Sorry. You just learn to live with it.
Main events and semi-main events will always have red shoes as a ref. How will you know it's him? Well you see, he wears red shoes. (and sleeves) He's also Shota's dad, so you'll hear some drama about that.
There might be nights where wrestlers are guest commentary! It's typically a surprise who it is, but you'll get to hear some interesting voices. Generally it's the native English speakers, but it'll be interesting. If Chris Charleton is on commentary, he will do live translation. (He's the Brit)
And my final tip:
Don't post fancams, clips, gifs, or screenshots on Twitter. God works fast but TV Ashai works faster. They will take your shit down fast. It's how TDE got their og account banned. (They don't know about Tumblr and let's not alert them to it either).
Enjoy the G1!

Loser Round 6: Maria Ushiromiya (Umineko: When They Cry) vs. Ken Amada (Persona 3)
Tumblr media
Propaganda below the cut:
Maria Ushiromiya (9):
She's really obsessed with occult and witch stuff and acts inappropriately when her family gets murdered because she was told by the culprit that everyone was going to the Golden Land (a super special witch afterlife where you get whatever you want). She also has meltdowns like any autistic child. Because of this, some Umineko fans say that she deserves to get abused by her mother.
----
People really do be saying that this literal nine year old who's been abused and neglected by her mom for her whole life is evil
----
Some people in the Umineko fandom have decided that she's annoying because she's a 9 year old with autism. Personally I think she's based. She has a hard life but still tries her hardest to see the goodness in everything. She's kind, even feeling sorry for a wilting flower and hoping it'll get better. She's a very smart young girl who just isn't given the proper love a child needs from their parents to thrive. She deserved SO, SO much better than the cards life dealt her. I mustn't talk too much else I'll get emotional but Maria is peak.Best autistic witch girl.

Keep you safe
Some fluff from your favorite heroes after a villain encounter
So yeah I kinda disappeared for a few months but I'm writing again! And I am obsessed with Shota and Hizashi from My Hero. I've noticed a lack of fluff of these two on Tumbler so I wanna write some fluff with them :)
Apologies for mistakes I'm too lazy to edit
(722 words)
You never think it’ll happen to you until it does, being a hostage for some petty robbery. It really made you realize just how helpless you were, especially without a quirk. Now there you sat at the police station, waiting. You heard the call of your name and looked up to see the only people you wanted to see. Hizashi and Shota.
“Y/n! Oh god, are you ok?” Hizashi took your face into his hands immediately, looking you over. You had a nasty bruise on your temple from where the criminal hit you to show he wasn’t afraid of being violent. It still hurt.
“I’m ok now that you’re here.” You put your hands over his, enjoying the warmth on your cheeks.
“Are you hurt anywhere else?” You could tell by his tone that Shota was angry but he kept his gaze soft so as not to frighten you.
“No, he only hit me once.” Hizashi ran his thumb over the bruise and you flinched.
“Let's get you home and put some ice on this. Nezu gave us the rest of the day off when we told him what happened.” Hizashi lifted you into his arms bridal style.
“Thank you.” You couldn’t find the energy to express how much them being here meant to you, you rested the side of your head on his chest and let tears fall.
Shota drove and Hizashi sat in the backseat with you, holding you close to him the whole way. “I’m so sorry we weren’t there. Y/n I’m so sorry!” He apologized over and over.
“It isn’t your fault, you’re both busy, I get it. It turned out fine.” Even your voice shook as you spoke, they both could hear it and Hizashi could feel the slight tremble on your body.
Shota was quiet the whole drive but as soon as you and the two men were lying in bed he clutched you close to him. “Fuck, I... I was so scared you wouldn’t be there when we arrived.” It wasn’t often Shota directly told you his feelings.
“Shota.” You didn’t know what to say, you were scared to.
Hizashi also had a firm hold on you from behind, he was uncharacteristically quiet. “Zashi are you ok?” You wanted him to say something, anything. His silence was killing you!
“How can you still worry about us when your life was in danger just an hour ago? We’re supposed to protect you and-” He was crying, you could hear it in his voice.
“It isn’t your fault Zashi, it’s not yours either Sho. I was so scared but as soon as I saw you I felt so much safer.” You ran your hand through Shota's hair and intertwined your fingers with Hizashi's.
“You’re too kind for your own good you know what? You're the one who was in danger and yet here you are comforting us. I love you so much Y/n, I don’t think you understand how much you mean to me, to us.” Hizashi kissed the back of your neck.
“I think I have an idea.” You giggled at the feeling. You felt his smile against your neck and kiss you again.
“Hey, Y/n. Let me teach you how to fight. I.. I think we’d both feel better if we knew you could defend yourself when we aren’t with you.” Shota’s sudden request surprised you.
“You’d take the time to do that? I really appreciate that Sho. I’d love to learn from you.” You kissed his forehead and he raised his head to look at you. You pressed a kiss to his nose and then to his lips. Finally, he smiled then kissed you on both cheeks then your lips.
You turned around and kissed Hizashi just as you did Shota, his forehead, then his nose then on his lips. “I love you both so much.”
“We love you too, so much.” Hizashi pressed a kiss to your jawline.
“We’ll do everything we can to keep you safe. We promise.” Shota rested his head in the crook of your neck.
“I know you will. I trust you both from the bottom of my heart.”
You spend the rest of the day sandwiched between them, You did get some ice on your bruise after your heart-to-heart at some point of course.

Hey there hope you are doing fine it is occurred to me that you are a huge lov Stan if it is not too much to ask could you give me a retrospective on your view of the lov and your opinion on them as they have grown and evolved and then your current opinion on where deku vs shiggy is headed thx.
I'm honored to be considered an LOV stan. Anyway, from the top:
Magne - Actually? Really enjoyed her for the time she was there. I think it would have been neat if her story tied into Aizawa, Hawks, or Nagant's somehow (meaning that they'd pursued her at one time or had been doing research on her specifically for a job - nothing super deep) to give her a little more focus and make the MHA cast seem more related and compact. I would have even liked her to live a little longer so she could do more LOV hijinks and show us more of that "big sis" title. I know some people don't like Magne or found it to be in bad taste that she died, but I don't feel it was a choice made in spite and I didn't have a problem with it, personally.
Kurogiri - Dark secret time: I actually do not really care about Kurogiri as Shigaraki's "caretaker" without the infusion of ambiguous Shirakumo energy and heart. I'm not a big "found family" person and I was never super into the takes of the major LOV fandom regarding this topic. Anyway, Kurogiri may or may not ever be exactly as he was as Shirakumo, but the more Shirakumo's presence is felt (even if he fights it and is like, "nooo I am loyal to Shigaraki! I don't care about these Shota Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada people!" because even then, it's still kinda the Shirakumo-heart-of-a-hero-loyal-to-his-friends OS running the show), the more I like him. I'm super stoked with the straightforward trope choices HK made for this character.
Shuichi Iguchi/Spinner - Spinner is so cute. I think Spinner is so, so cute and pathetic and sweet and wanting. God, he'll follow anything if he thinks it might make a difference. He is ready to lay down everything for Shigaraki even though he does not really understand him. He is so desperate to be a part of something, his heart is honestly in the right place when it comes to the individual members of the LOV, but every choice he makes or moment of self-doubt he has makes things worse. His heart is pure and every choice he makes takes him farther and farther from what he really wants. Please save Spinner. Someone, please save Spinner. Please love Spinner and help him do and want things independently of others and by his own direction and efforts. It can start small like getting him to grow and care for his own vegetables before he figures out what it is he'd really like to do or be.
Atsuhiro Sako/Mr. Compress - He kinda left it all on the floor when his moment came, so I don't have much to say besides I like him and of course he stole my heart when he asked me, the reader, to listen to his backstory before he bled out from ripping a hole in his own ass. In some ways, I like this a lot given that BNHA is a story-within-a-story, but in other ways I feel like this could have been more elegantly handled. I'm glad he lived and I'm excited to see him do more things outside of prison. He doesn't need to be in prison. That's just my opinion, though.
Jin Bubaigawara/Twice - Fantastic. Twice was always cute in that pesky-annoying way of any Deadpool Expy, but I think he's even cuter and softer of heart than Wade Wilson. I love how straightforwardly his backstory is told once we're allowed to see it, and I love - and hate - that his last thoughts were that Hawks had no right to pity/judge him as lucky or unlucky. His final "curse" to Hawks is powerful to me, particularly since it shows that, despite everything, Jin had people who actually knew him for who he was and liked him for it. At least, he had Toga. There's really a lot I could say about the Jin-and-Hawks situation, including how Jin's rejection of Hawks' conditions to let him live were also a rejection of Hawks and his choices, but I think those are the highlights. I really like that he got less goofy as we got to know him, but was never NOT goofy.
Himiko Toga - Dabi is a close second, but I think Toga is my favorite of the LOV. Hers is a classic female villain trope - crazy, jealous, horny, pansexual vampire blood-witch - but the story takes her completely seriously and asks what the FUCK is wrong with the situation of the world in order for her story to turn out like this. She's a classic, but better and with a human heart. So like, the thing about Toga is that she and her behavior doesn't really change - it's only the context that does as more is revealed about her. Also, her cutesy-yandere antics combined with Twice manages to actually make a funny pair rather than an annoying one. I mean, yeah, they're annoying, but it's in a charming way. If Ochako breaks her heart I'll fucking enter that manga myself and kill her. But Ochako won't do that because Ochako understands what she is doing.
Toya/Dabi - I am a big!!! Fan!!! Of Toya's dramatic ass! Pathetic! Pathetic! Pathetic! Any time I think I'm throwing a tantrum and being a spoiled brat, I think of Dabi and realize I've not yet hit rock bottom. From basically his intro, it was obvious he was a Todoroki and even more delicious that nobody in-story (not Aizawa, not Shoto, not Enji, not Hawks, not nobody) could figure it out even when he was soooooo desperate for them to figure it out and then got to reveal it! On TV! Oh, the drama! The spectacle! (Miss me with the "oooooooh it's not confiiiiiiirmed Dabi is a Todoroki" stuff, 'cause, c'mon you guys: this is the over-the-top-dramatic-irony manga.) That said, the tantrum is warranted - the thing he honestly needs is attention and acknowledgement as well as continued support. Dabi is my favorite Daddy Issues character. Cannot wait to see what his life looks like after his tantrum's over - which I think will happen. He's still alive in the manga and the Todorokis still have a long way to go even if he does kick the bucket by the end (he won't, though his lifespan might be reduced or something. There's gotta be blowback for becoming a charcoal briquette twice.)
Tenko Shimura/Tomura Shigaraki - I actually didn't give two hoots about him until we got the confirmed insight that he's a little boy in a 23-year-old body. I actually find Shigaraki to be the most boring of the LOV, but a lot of interesting things happen to him and he does a lot of interesting internal repression and exploration even with his limited understanding and context for his situation. I enjoy that his "enlightenment" is an artificial one that encourages destruction but opposes not only the status quo but any future creation. He's change and chaos, but only until the moment he succeeds, because then his destruction will be the stagnant status quo. Right now, he's got the otherworldly white hair like a Japanese demon or half-divine being and unlike Toya (who is totally a vengeful spirit and fire demon straight from hell) he's kinda suggesting a western angel, too. Must be cool to be the most significant and "perfect" white-haired anime boy in a series, huh. That's a lot of power, Sephiroth.
He's a great dragon-and-damsel rolled into one, and Izuku is going to save him with some help. It's as straightforward as that. After that, Tenko will probably want to become the definition of a true hero - not a Hero (as in the in-universe job), but someone proud of the legacy his grandmother and Toshinori tried to uphold while still desiring improvements. His destruction may be channeled into a real weapon of justice meant to meaningfully destroy the corrupt but with the goal to then make right what had been wronged. I wouldn't be totally surprised if he undergoes another quirk evolution and is able to create stuff a la Fullmetal Alchemist using the stuff he destroys/using the same stuff he would have otherwise destroyed. If so, it might be more apt to call his quirk something like "Flourish"/"Growth" or even "Improve"/"Surpass" rather than "Decay". The one thing I think Shigaraki can never really accept (though he will bide his time if needed) is stasis. Eventually, I think he'll become another intended successor of All Might, though frankly anyone in the series can and should earn that title at this point.

HEADCANONS REQUEST: ❝S/O with powers of Ope Ope no Mi.❞
Tumblr media
[ Fandom: Boku no Hero Academia ] [ Characters: Bakugou Katsuki, Aizawa Shota, Dabi ]
「Headcanons of Bakugou, Mirio and Aizawa with an S/O who covers their mouth to hide their laugh.」
BAKUGOU KATSUKI
♤ When Bakugou first receives a brief explanation of what you could do with your abilities, he didn't expect you to be a fighter. You talked about how you could create an aura sphere where you can exert complete control over the fabric of space. To make it simple, you referred to it as having the ability to 'operate' on anything within the spherical 'operating room'. Of course, after all this explanation, he still doesn't understand why you chose to be a fighter instead of a doctor.
♤ On top of being a powerful individual out in the field, you were also one of the top students in class. You were also someone with outstanding knowledge in the medical field. The spatial powers that you were born with allowed you to perform the most complicated and difficult surgeries perfectly with ease. Not to mention, you're capable of cutting someone's body open and removing organs without damaging any tissues, leaving scars, or causing the patient to bleed. To sum it up, you were like a different breed of your own.
♤ Your quirk is unique in his eyes and you always manage to amaze him whenever you're practicing your quirk. Not to mention, you always carry around a sword which you often use together with your quirk. You use it with your quirk which enables you to mutilate numerous things. As much as he hates to admit it, he stands no chance if he were to fight with you head-on. But a major weakness of yours is that usage of your quirk depletes your stamina and you often avoid long confrontations.
♤ Only starts falling in love after multiple training sessions. He thought it was probably because of how smart and powerful you were. He mistook his feelings for respect and admiration. But when he starts to get the urge to prolong your training sessions together, make sure you're alone together or get you on a date—he knows he's fallen for you, hard. Once the two of you get together, he's ecstatic but he doesn't let it show. Bakugou is just super proud of you and lucky to be able to call you his.
AIZAWA SHOTA
☆ God is there anything you can’t do? You’re strong in combat, capable for complex surgeries, a medical expert, and a talented swordsman. Aizawa sees you as a very strong and respectable hero. Though he doesn't work together with you, he knows of your feats and capabilities. As a teacher who works in UA, he doesn't go out in the field that much. The only time he gets to see you in action is through the news or when you drag him to train with you.
☆ Can never get used to how you fight, it's not every day you see villains with their limbs attached on random places or swapped around. He has little to no knowledge bout the medical field but whenever you're reading a book to educate yourself, he might join in and read together with you. Aizawa has once questioned your method of surgery, curious about how you actually do things and make use of your quirk in surgeries. To say he was surprised is an understatement, being able to conduct a surgery where no blood is shed—is just amazing.
☆ He knows that every time you use your quirk, you use a lot of stamina. After a villain fight where you’re forced to constantly use your quirk, you’d come home completely exhausted. On some occasions, you'd be called in by a local hospital to do surgery which sometimes requires you to stay till late at night. The moment he sees you trudging into the house after a long day, he'd buy you your favorite food for dinner, run you a bath and just do everything for you.
☆ Not the type to boast or anything but he's very proud to have someone so accomplished and strong in his life. He doesn't judge people by their quirks and he only fell in love with how attentive you were, always the kind one ready to lend a helping hand despite how tired you'd get after overusing your quirk. Although he gets worried every time you put others before yourself, he knows that you're capable of taking care of yourself. And he completely trusts you.
DABI
♡ A relationship with a villain is always complicated. He first met you by accident. Dabi broke into your apartment while he was hiding from people, injured and bleeding from his mouth. You didn't seem scared or anything which surprised him because he knows that he doesn't exactly look that friendly. Much to his surprise you forced him to sit on the couch and ordered him not to move while you gather the medical equipment in your apartment.
♡ Very amazed with your medical skills and your quirk. You were able to identify the main cause of his internal bleeding which was poison. What's more, you removed the poison from his organs with ease using your quirk. It was his first time seeing his own internal organs. Even though it was weird to see them in the hands of a stranger like you, he felt oddly at ease. On the other hand, you were surprised that he's not the least bit disturbed by your abilities.
♡ You don't really like overusing and relying on your quirk too much. But when you're forced to fight, you always handle everything with ease and manage to conserve your energy. Dabi is a sadist in general so he enjoys watching you use your quirk on your enemies. He'd hate getting you involved in the League unless you were a villain yourself. But if you weren't, he'd make sure to keep you far away from all that stuff.
♡ Overall, he doesn't really care too much about your quirk. He thinks it's pretty cool and interesting but that's about it. To him a quirk is only good if the person who possesses it can bring out its full potential. And he truly believes that you're one of those who have mastered the potential of your quirk. Dabi has seen you completely exhausted after using your quirk too much and would always rely on him to protect you during battle. He makes fun of you for it but he's always keeping an eye out for you to ensure you're safe.
