Shu Itsuki has a few bad habits, including the fact that he doesn’t realize how heart fluttering they can be

❝ Shu hasn’t quite realized it but he’s become attached to you in a strange way. Inadvertently, he’s made you a part of his daily routine, his dreams and ambitions…❞

…and his afternoon cafe runs.

ఌ Though his concentrated face while mulling over his stage designs are heart fluttering, the issue lies (as he would say) with y o u. ‘Ah, is there a hole in your chin? How did you get icing there? You’re this old already how haven’t you learned how to eat properly yet?’ Shu always presses your cheeks between his elegant fingers, takes his napkin, and wipes off the remains of your cinnamon bun while scolding you. His hands feel a little cold but soft and after knowing him for so long you can only hear the warmth in his voice. You can’t help but think it’s a little unfair—he’s already talking to you about something different while your heart is still pounding in your chest.

ఌ His bad habits also follow the both of you out in public. It looks like there’s a brand new craft store across the street from the cafe, though it’s wares look a little cheap it’s still worth a trip inside! You always have to walk a little faster to keep pace with Shu when he spots something interesting, smiling slightly while listening to him talk about how long lasting cashmere can be if you treat your clothing with care. When you can’t fast enough Shu finds himself sighing and grabbing your wrist to make sure you don’t fall behind. ‘It’s important for you to know these things! And you’re walking to slowly! How can you do your job properly if you can’t manage to make it from one end to the other without assistance?’ Because he’s still walking ahead of you, you can safely give him a lovelorn look, why does he hold your wrist but not your hand?

ఌ Possibly his worst habit rears it’s head in the small craft store aisles……besides openly criticizing the fabric and jewelry making supplies for being stiff and unmanageable. There’s many other customers looking for ways to begin their seamster journeys. Too many. Whether Shu is a repellent or you are a magnet—people just won’t stop bumping into you. The thread aisle, the button aisle, the velcro aisle…Shu begins to huff like it was your fault. Placing an arm around your side he pulls you out of the way of another shopper, bumping your shoulders together. ‘Won’t you pay a little more attention?’ As if you could in a situation like this. His soap has just the faintest scent of linen & peonies, even though he smells like laundry in an open field something about it reminds you of star gazing. The only thing keeping you grounded is the feeling of his hand around your upper arm keeping you out of “harms way”. It might be a blessing that he has a bad habit of not noticing when he manages to make you feel so flustered. ‘Stand right next to me. Ah, I can’t take you anywhere.’ …..He really has a bad habit of saying that, too.

Idk if you relate to this but the type of men I usually crush on irl are exact opposites of what I enjoy in fiction, in fact most of my anime man crushes are people who I would hate if they were real (jesus especially Kid, Violent angry men are so scary TT_TT) but the women are usually people I would date irl (Tashigi, Robin, Vivi)

Hmmm... In some cases yes, and certainly when I was younger yes. I would have to say that the people I'd be into in fiction would not be the kind of people I'd want to deal with in reality.

Now though?

Funnily enough my spouse is very much like Eustass Kid (minus the piracy and the murder), and honestly, since I know I can trust them, the loudness and general inclination of being irritated by other people, doesn't bother me. If anything it's actually kind of comforting.

If there's a need to be loud, I do not need to be the loud one.

But - and here's the key - there's trust there. Twelve years of life spent together and nearly 5 of that married - and not once have I been afraid of their loudness. It's never been directed at me. There's never been anger directed at me.

Now, I don't know that you could pay me enough to date someone like Doflamingo, but honestly, I'd give Crocodile a chance.

I think part of it is, when I was 20 I hadn't dated a ton of different kinds of people, but at this point in my life, I've dated quite the variety.

I've dated the arrogant peacock, the self-loathing emo, the boy next door who plays guitar and knows half the pot dealers in the city, the farm boy, the outdoor guy, the toxic dom - I mean, understand that the variety certainly had plenty of *bad* relationships in it xD

But - I guess to answer the initial question, lad or lady I can dig it, and overall personality means less to me than the part of them that's directed at me.

All Hallow's Read 2022:

Lowlights:

•I ran out of books again

• One of my neighbors goes really big on the decorations, so they definitely outshined and out music'd me heh

•I accidentally left like ten books under my bed so I had to RUN and grab them so kids could take them home!

• Some kids asked for non-fictiony books and I had none!! So I made a note for next year :)

•I got a few kids who didn't care about books and just took candy :c

•Some parents let their kids go up on their own, and they took books that were too old for them before I could stop them... They'll have something to read in a few years I guess!

•and the one that takes the cake: got some fifteen year olds who told me they didn't go to school (?? not sure if that's true or if that was their version of "I hate reading") I even offered them my "coolest" book, Red Dragon, and nope. Didn't want any! Ah well.

Highlights!!:

•A young girl said "when I read this, I'll think of you!" SO SWEET TT_TT

• A few kids, at separate times, saw the books and their eyes lit up and they went, "We can take a book?!" That was awesome :) Also got to watch as some kids ran back to their parents to say "I got a book!"

•As their kid was browsing the books, a mom told me, "He's been waiting for this all year! He said, 'we have to go to the book house!" I DIED RIGHT THERE.

• Lastly, my outfit was done on time, and despite my parents' hemming and hawing, they were excited to hear that all the books had been given away this year.

All in all, a successful All Hallow's Read! I learned that I need more books in general, more non-fiction for young readers, even more baby/toddler books, more MORE Goosebumps because they, as you say, 'sold like hotcakes' (as did the Scary Stories books, those were gone as soon as I put them out), and some sort of book case to make the books easier to see, and a light... something to think about for next year!

Had to get outfit shots after the fact because the night started earlier than I thought and I was RACING to get the table set up. And Ivy was my fairy friend for the evening!

Digging through my files and I came across this ahah. It was for shits and giggles, but after my recent posts, it has me reminiscing the og RE4 (well since RE4make comes out in 2 weeks) So I’m going to indulge in memory lane (and spaz about it so beware) in time of it releasing soon. I doubt I’ll play it because I don’t have time for games anymore, sadly. But, they are part of my childhood/teenagehood and it feels nice to reflect on nice things. That’s why I, or anyone, makes fanart, right?

I was still heavy in my DMC phase ever since I asked to borrow my friend’s DMC1 copy and afterwards he recommended me more games, RE4 being one of them since we spoke about how ‘’DMC1 was meant to be RE4 but it was too far from RE so it became DMC’’.   Anyway, I remember letting his burnt copy sit in my room for weeks until my brother came over one day and was excited that I had it. So I watched him play.. honestly, I thought I wouldn’t be good at it bc RE at that point took a turn toward what looked like an FPS to me (I was about to discover the joys of 3rd person shooters). Reluctantly, I tried it after more coaxing.. and it wasn’t until I smashed through the window of the village that I thought jumping out of windows and pushing people off ladders was fun. Nek minit; I was addicted. And I love that it was so long haha it never got boring! .....until I reached the labs...fk, as soon as I heard the regenerators; no, as soon as that goddamned unnerving soundtrack plays when you enter the labs! I remember I was too scared to play one night and waited for my brothers to come home because I was alone at the time lmaooo..   Ever since RE4make was announced that’s all I could think of; how much more scarier could they make those damn things!?!? TT_TT That brEATHING, UGH. And super chainsaw man in mercs also scared the fk out of me, I always avoided playing the water level hahah Well, that’s the scariest thing about it; encountering it the first time, wasting all your ammo on it bc it’s not dying and then not knowing how to kill it and it’s geTTING CLOSER. arghh it’s flailing toward me! IT’S BITING MEUDJGH And the death scenes made me adamant to not die, holy shit T_T;; But with those things it was scary af.. Also, I do not want to see my beloveds get decapped, thanks...not even Wesker ;_; unf Wesker <3 rofl.   ...But then you sell off the scope later cos it takes up space? and it was only really needed to fight those things anyway lol I was grateful that Ada’s campaign didn’t have those damn regens. It was too short though.. c: ...(God she is gorgeous in re4make... I really wanted her og VA to return though, sorry but for me noone’s voice can be as sultry as Sally Cahill’s unff...) And my god, I loved Saddler, his lines just made me laugh, he was such a suave/calm/cocky villain. I hope he’s as amusing in the remake. The exchanges between him and Leon too hahaa..(and Luis lol) But bc of all that, RE4 helped me grow the nerve to play SH. And I became a SH fan as well. And P-Head looking fineeee in the SH2 remake as well, Leon has some competition hurr  Ahem.. yes, RE4 is a damn good game.   Also, I wanna say lastly, re4make Leon looks like idk, the Cloud Strife of RE x’D He’s even more pretty. While RE6 Leon looks like what Dante’d look like if he were fully human, haha ....And no the pic isn’t me lol but his face suits Leon imo.

I wish I knew why or how Hanako can suddenly operate the Nowhere space elevator... even just using its phone is an exaggerated step-up from last time we saw him engage this space?

he’s clearly pretty stressed out by Yashiro being in there....

...much like in Hell of Mirrors, he gets scared when he can’t reach her quickly and directly.

... why does he suddenly have freaking perfect control of it all now TT_TT why can he control the elevator.... who gave him these numbers on a slip of paper to operate it.... why does he even know there is an elevator? 

the phone he uses is simply located in the counsilroom, and it grants him pure, crystal-clear communication, no static or dropped calls!

....but if he knew about this elevator, this phone, if he could summon them, why would Yashiro have ever been stuck ambling about after the tea party....? I’m certain his fear was authentic, so this isn’t a case of lying.... more like-- I don’t know what this thing is, with Hanako acquiring new skills behind our backs.

While I could believe Hanako ... simply learning a new trick or two and acquiring resources since the scary encounter with Yashiro trapped in the nowhere space... that doesn’t at all explain to me how or why he can now use Haku-joudai itself to summon the elevator directly to his position....

...... but this goes together with Hanako somehow now having the ability to personally erase Yashiro’s memory.....? 

I never quite understand this scene, otherwise.....

...why would Hanako have been obsessed with using Shijima-san’s powers, if he could mindwipe all on his own? Or am I misunderstanding-- would putting Yashiro to sleep in the middle of the Severance, have somehow made the overall mindwipe of Aoi’s memory apply to her? ... but the mindwipe doesn’t apply to the other bound & magical humans, suchas the Minamoto, or Akane. So it’s hard to imagine that being the case.

Yashiro’s bracelet given to her by Sumire, repels Hanako, stopping him from whatever he was going to do. He sighs, concedes to not being able to have this go as he planned, and then, switches his terminology to this:

..... so before he’s stopped, it’s “you’ll forget all of this (even Aoi-chan)”, and after he’s halted, it’s “some day, you’ll forget”. It sounds like his plan was to erase it himself....! Did destroying Shijima-san’s yorishiro juice Hanako’s sleep powers....?

It’s pretty normal for everyone to forget about a supernatural event after it’s over.... it happens in Clockkeepers, in The Misaki Stairs, and for everyone else during the Severance (Aoi’s memory is unwritten from their classmates, while all the victim’s of Yako’s rumor-switch are returned to normal, with people suchas Aoi having no memory of their time in her boundary). But if the group mindwipe didn’t apply to Yashiro for something like the Misaki Stairs, why would it suddenly effect her here...? Generally, she has a kind of special clearance for kaii stuff, much like the Minamoto clan. It’s Yashiro’s special status after all that enables her to leave from the far shore, while Aoi, a completely normal human girl, cannot return..... ... I just can’t think of any reason she’d just forget anything, unless Hanako forced it.

I feel like I still need to do a lot of rereading, turn things around, and also just wait, I guess... but if Tsukasa has gotten gradually more capable over the course of this manga, as a result of the yorishiro crunching, and yorishiro are essentially ‘batteries’ powering their mystery, then it would make sense for Hanako to be acquiring new skills.... and aouur, being reluctant to let Yashiro know about them, as always....

A glorious Bloodlines thought: Alma criticizes Isabela over some fault or other, only for Mirabel to jump to her defense with a surprising amount of vehemence. It would be such a short-circuit for Alma's traditional sensibilities. On the one hand, how dare her granddaughter talk back to her? On the other hand, an Alpha asserting authority and defending her Omega is the Proper Way Of Things.

ohhh yes! Mira getting defensive of Isabela (and also Luisa, but we're talking about Isabela) IS canon and I love that, she protecc.

I think Alma would be too stubborn to recognize Mirabel's merits and congratulate her for being a "good alpha". I think she'd mischaracterize it as Mirabel "getting aggressive when there is no need" (she wasn't being aggresive exactly, and there WAS a need to argue back). She tells her she's being immature, irresponsable and "getting violent", you know, like those scary alpha boys you hear about every now and then. She tells her it wasn't the time and place and that Isabela wasn't under attack, so there was no need to defend her, and it shows that Mirabel is trying too hard and doing everything wrong. So, something that should be a bit of an esteem boost (being able to protecc) turns into a source of shame ("overreacting", "getting aggressive", "trying too hard").

Poor Mira did everything right but ends up getting shamed for it TT_TT I frankly don't know if Isabela would dare thank her or reassure her she appreciate it, that she did the right thing, because she's so scared of Alma too... though it wouldn't surprise me if she ends up accting more affectionately later that day, especially if she's in heat, when her inhibitions are a bit lower, her concentration less sharp and she's more likely to make mistakes and get emotional...

i looked it up recently and i found a survey (of about 1000 US americans) that says 65% of people have mostly good dreams, and i was thinking about how when i was a kid i was like i’m soooo hardcore cause i only have scary dreams 😎 but these days i’m like. why can’t i ever have good dreams? i can count the number of good dreams i’ve had on one hand (and i can only remember two off the top of my head: flying through a sunny vine tunnel with stuffed animals growing on the vines when i was like 5, and when i was like 7 i had a dream about being chased by zombies, but then i went into a bakery and ate a chocolate donut, so that part was good). like why don’t i have good dreams TT_TT what about my neurotype means i have to dream about reliving high school exams/lunch periods, or being chased by a demon, or emetophobia? like what was it about my brain that made me like this akfnskfn i mean i’ve always been “””morbid””” and stuff, but that’s a chicken or the egg sorta thing...

Main 10 and Scholar watching a horror movie together

Alistair : completely focused on the movie. Jumps a little but doesn't scream. But halfway would check on you. Get you closer but it's a mistake for him. Then he can't follow the movie anymore and just thinks about how cute you are and how he could really sacrifice himself for you if you were in such movie.

Axel : keeps joking around about how bad it is and such because he is actually quite scared, which can be deducted from his nervous laugh. Get close to you pretending it's because you shouldn't be afraid.

Claire : so much blood. It really makes her feel bad. Tho she wants to stay till the end because she got the chance to watch a movie with you. Sits really close to you and shyly asks if she can hold your hand. Will end falling asleep on your shoulder.

Ellie : get amazed by insignificant details. Turns the whole movie into a comedy imagining a parallel story. Is the one scaring you because she jumps every time she sees a continuity error, even tho she doesn't point it out loud.

Karolina : not the slightest afraid till a jump scare surprises her. Can't prevent herself from grabbing you so tight that her nails hurt you. But dare to say she was scared and she will end your life. Tries to act neutral till the end of the movie but bounds at every jump scare.

Neha : doesn't have any interest for the movie, just focuses on you. Loves to see every of your reactions. Makes sure to put her arm close enough for you to grab her when you get scared. Will probably ask you to watch another one soon.

Raquel : constant switches between laughs and screams. Her screams make you scream too. It ends up pretty messy with you two jumping into each other arms whenever some scary stuff happens.

Tadashi : only agreed to watch such a movie because you are the one who proposed. However he starts to like it, half because it's not as bad as expected, half because you jump into his arms by yourself and oh well it would too mean to reject you, right ?

Tegan : likes it way too much. Is way too enthousiastic about every death, and knows most of the lines by heart already. Actually, he's maybe scarier than the movie itself. But seeing him having so much fun is more enjoyable than the movie.

Tyler : can't hide that he's scared to death. Even tho Tegan always makes him watch horror movie, he can't get used. Finds a way to make you sit between his legs and hide his face on your shoulder often. Can't even enjoy that because he's way too much into the movie.
