haha your little commentary on the type of cats 😭 I never thought of zuko as an orange cat but that totally makes sense (halloween cats) and Aang as a ginger cat like yes because of all their parallels omg but you hit the nail on the head with Ty Lee hehe

zuko is literally one of the most orange cat coded characters in all of fiction. unwavering dogged determination combined with heedless idiocy and a refusal to acknowledge how his surroundings and the basic laws of physics might impact his success in any given endeavor. and somehow he just keeps surviving despite that. marvelous

aang is one of those cats who isn’t really orange but is rather a pale ginger color. kind of sillygoofy but also gentle and much much smarter than your average orange boy

katara is a brown and white cat with black stripes, a fluffy belly, and little white socks. yes i do realize that i am just describing my cat. this is not a coincidence (aka the cutest sweetest cat in the whole world)

sokka is a black cat (obviously) but with a white belly and socks. and bright yellow eyes. like a witch’s familiar but if the witch was kinda chill about it

mai is a black cat but truly all black from head to toe. piercing green eyes. really sweet and purrs a lot but ppl avoid her out of foolish superstition

ty lee is a beautiful fluffy white cat with a perfect pink little nose who is just so gorgeous and entrancing. her favorite thing to do is show you her belly and then bite your hand when to try to rub it. but everyone keeps trying anyway bc she is the people’s princess

azula is a very shrewd and imperious fluffy grey cat who is constantly leaving dead mice and bugs in your bed. as a gift of course

yue is also a beautiful white cat but she lets you rub her belly. her favorite hobby is napping in a sunbeam on the windowsill

iroh is a sphynx cat who is clearly convinced that he is the most beautiful cat who ever lived, and because he demands to be treated like a gorgeous diva, everyone just somehow believes him

suki is not a cat she is a small yappy dog who is always getting in ur business

and toph is a very large rat who somehow just taught herself how to meow really well

I'm sure many of you are already aware of this, but in case I have any newer tumblr users, pet bill donation scams are very common on this site. If someone DMs or sends you an ask asking you to reblog some sort of donation post for a sick/injured pet, it is most likely a scam.

Below the cut, I have included tips to spotting a scam, and why I believe the post by 507-on-queue is a scam. @kyra45 runs an excellent tumblr scam awareness blog, and has more information and tips here about spotting pet scams. I have archived the scam post in question on my side blog here.

Here's some ways to spot these scams:

Age of the blog - most scam blogs are a week old or younger, they are often under a day old

Similar urls being used for multiple blogs - scam blogs are typically blocked/deleted rapidly, and the OP makes a new account with almost the same name

The blog bio/pfp are not unique

You can only access the dashboard view of the blog so the post archive cannot be accessed (for example, my dashboard view is this, but you can also visit my webpage view and see my 9 years of post history via /archive lol)

The blog has never interacted with you before

The blog follows you and immediately sends a DM/ask

The DM/ask is overly polite and guilt trips (they often ask you to reply privately to reduce digital footprint)

Images of pets can be found via reverse image search

OP's story is inconsistent or unrealistic

The Paypal link does not match the supposed country OP lives in

Most recently, a scam post has been going around about a sphynx cat named Draven. This has been done using multiple urls, including:

507-onqueue (current as of Jan 13th, 2024)

Here's how this blog meets our scam watch criteria:

The current blog (507-onqueue) is less than a day old (19 hours at the time of this post). The oldest post:

As listed above, OP uses multiple, similar URLs.

The bio of 507-onqueue is taken almost directly from another user (said user). Due to the same bio being used in previous scams, I suspect this is the same or related person to kappa-tundra/kappatundra (about this scam).

The blog follows and immediately DMs/sends and ask. From my account:

The ask from the account is very polite, guilt trips, and asks me to answer to the post privately. The goal of being so polite is to win your trust and lower your defenses. This isn't the worst guilt trip I've been in a scam (that goes to the child support scam from several years ago). By asking me to reply privately, they're attempting to reduce their digital footprint (making them harder to google) and disguise how much they are spamming asks.

The information in that post was taken from a private Facebook account (source). I found the Facebook account in question and confirmed that the information was taken from there. I do not want to share the page because I view that as a further violation of the Facebook OP's privacy. For transparency, the images of Draven are not on Facebook OP's page any longer, but there are several other identifiable pieces of information that make it more than likely that the claims of her information being stolen are true.

The ask is inconsistent itself with the name of the cat (Draven vs Indie). This is also nearly identical to another scam ask from user captbridges. This user was using a real GoFundMe for a sick cat to scam.

The medical paperwork in OP's post is for a veterinary hospital in Wisconsin. However, OP's PayPal is based in the Philippines. The country.x= part of the url indicate the country of origin of the account; PH is the Philippines. The local.x= part of the url shows that the link was localized to the United States (making the donation currency USD). (PayPal's information page about country codes).

Stay safe out there and remain vigilant, everyone. If you don't already know them, try to pick up some boolean operators to refine your google searches when checking for scams. The tumblr search function sucks, so this is your best bet of finding information about scams like these online.

Chapter Seven- The Gala

Summary- Secrets are revealed at the God’s Eye Gala.

Warnings- MDNI 18+ Female Reader. Lots of profanity. Alcohol consumption. Mention of edibles. Aemond being an idiot. Me continuing to know nothing about law school. Angst baby.

“You look so beautiful,” she says, smiling as she watches Baela look herself over in the mirror.

Her friend turns to look at her, a pretty smile on her face as she turns her hips and lets the skirt flounce around her. They had retreated to the second house- the one Rhaenyra’s side of the family have been staying in- in order to prepare for the gala together. It will be her first but Baela has been to more than a handful before and has been incredibly excited to prepare them both for this one. She had only the dresses Aemond had bought for her, still hidden away in their garment bags as she was too afraid to look, but Baela had assured her that should they be entirely hideous she was more than welcome to wear one of the gowns she had brought. There were no less than five options, all designer and all gorgeous, but as she sits on the bed with Moondancer, Baela’s hairless sphynx, in her lap, she can’t help the nervousness rising in her. As if all those in Driftmark will be able to know she doesn’t belong among them through sight alone, by smell.

This is an opportunity for her just as it is for Aemond, she tries to rationalize. She would have the opportunity to network, to get to know those who already worked in the field and perhaps impress them, if the opportunity presented itself, but she can already imagine herself saying the wrong thing, ousting herself before she even has the opportunity to be apart of it all.

Baela turns back to the mirror with a huff, fiddling with the off shoulder sleeves of the blue dress. “It’s not too much?”

“I don’t think so.”

She wouldn’t know, considering she has never been to an event with a black tie dress code but this dress seems right for the occasion anyway. As have the last two but she likes how the colour of this one seems to make her skin glow, complimenting her round features.

Baela stares at herself for a long moment, eyes scrutinizing, before nodding once. She thanks whatever god is listening for that, as they had reached the final dress and she wasn’t sure what they would do if she had run out of gowns. Probably raided her sister’s room with all the determination of a soldier. She’s more than relieved that is not about to be their fate.

“Okay, now you!” Baela announces, clapping her hands and making her way toward one of the garment bags. “I’ve been dying to see this. And to see you in it. Such a fancy brand name, it has to be pretty, doesn’t it?”

She huffs out a heavy breath, feeling more nervous than excited as Baela unzips the bag and pushes it aside, pulling the dress out with a dreamy sigh. Her fingers begin scratching Moondancer’s chin quicker as she unveils the dress as if it were a bride, shimmery emerald green silk tumbling forward. Baela runs her hand along the fabric appreciatively, her mouth gaping, corners turned up as she looks from her to the dress.

“Give me my cat, you’re putting this one.”

Her eyes dart from Baela to the dress before she sighs, lifting Moondancer from her lap and handing her over to Baela. She grins as they exchange, handing her the opened garment bag as she tucks her hand under Moondancer’s belly and shoos her away. She walks obediently into the bathroom, hanging the bag on the shower curtain rod and staring at it for a moment. She doesn’t know what she had expected but she is sure it wasn’t this. It looks too expensive to wear.

Or, at least, for her to wear.

Regardless, she sighs for the third time in as many minutes before pulling her shirt over her head, undressing down to her underwear before removing the dress from the bag carefully. For a moment, she thinks it looks so fragile that a callous or ragged nail would be enough to tear it, but it feels slightly more sturdy once its in hand. The silk flows over her like water as she lets it fall over her head, tucking her arms through the thin straps and turning to face the mirror. It’s prettier than anything she has ever worn and even without the zipper pulled up, she can tell it is going to fit like a glove.

Holding both hands against her breasts to ensure that it doesn’t fall, she opens the bathroom door and waddles out. “Could you help with the zipper?”

Baela pops up from the bed happily, coming behind her to pull the zip up and clasp the small hook and eye closure at the top before stepping back. Both of her hands come up, palms pressed together, and she presses them against her lips as she smiles.

“You look like a princess.”

“You look like a princess,” she says immediately though she can’t help but think they’re both right.

"And we're going to look even prettier once we're done. You’re wearing this one, I don’t even care what the other one looks like now. You couldn’t look more perfect.”

hi guys welcome to my ted talk, today we're going to talk about the Cats & Dogs franchise, which is obviously inspired by the Hannibal films... for some reason.

I could write about how the film's plots are similar, or about references and metaphors but I'll do much better and just compare Mister Tinkles with Hannibal Lecter, bc i think that we as a community need to talk about how the fandom ALWAYS draw Hannibal as a elegant sphynx when he is obviously this devil-looking creature

Most random thing but I love that you gave your Donnie a cat. He’s so cat lover coded and I just adore it! And making the cat a SPINX cat was just the cherry on top because yeah! This Donnie would totally have a spinx and adore it more than anything!

I think John would definitely be an Oriental cat if not that then probably a Burmese. Smart, quick on his feet and pretty loyal seems about right.

Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley

I think Simon would be a Norwegian forest cat or a British Short hair.. for obvious reasons dude is a fuckin Brit through and through. I chose NFC becuase they are bigger types of cats and used to harsh climates

Sergeant Kyle “Gaz” Garrick

For Gaz I chose an Abyssinian cat, they are pretty, usually have pretty eyes (like him) and are pretty smart and playful. Very Gaz coded

Sergeant Johnny “Soap” MacTavish

Johnny boy would be a Scottish Fold or a Siamese cat. They are very vocal, love people and are just a joy to be around honestly. Plus they suffer from pretty boy syndrome so… yeah

he hates those matted fluffy socks (he’s so me fr), the texture grosses him to the point he would try to trash it (ps. klaus took it from him)

five LOVES comforters, he just tucks himself in and just. sleeps so quietly you’d think he’s dead but he just. does not snore. (you’ve tried to worriedly wake him up once… all you got was an annoyed groan and a painful smack to the lips—)

he hugs himself in his sleep if he doesn’t have blankets (unless you’re in the picture, he’ll definitely just CLING on you) it started when he was in the apocalypse, sleeping by a wrecked mattress store with no blankets, he dusts off the dirty mattress, not bothered to find any pillows or etc, so he just tries to sleep through the cold night with his own warmth, too tired from the chaos… not ready for the days laid out for him

he seems like a cat person, but he actually not so secretly wants a dog (specifically a herder dog for a farm), its in his bucket list for retirement, he wants to play with the pup and have someone by his side after his family fell further apart (s3 ending), then he can go on peacefully knowing he wasn’t rlly that alone, at least fulfilling one want of his

^ however if he could get a cat, he would get a sphynx cat… reason? he wants to match suits and sweaters with the cat (his excuse to you is that he doesn’t want the cat to get lonely being the only one wearing the ugly sweater.. and the sweater is just a plain blue turtleneck.. not even your typical xmas atrocity….)

as a kid, he had a teddy bear named mr pennycrumb, which prompted him to decide to name his soon-to-be pet mr pennycrumb in the future

my boy kins “a lots gonna change” by weyes blood, especially the first stanza, give it a listen and you’ll see.. y o u ‘ l l s e e (though disclaimer, the singer sings the song in 1st pov and uses feminine descriptors… but for the sake of five, just switch it out in your head w masculine coded words)

now- with his identity, as a kid, what awakened him to discover that he truly feels more like a guy is when he saw addam’s family— let me explain myself: he resonated with gomez- as even though gomez is considered “weird” he’s still a perfect husband/gentlemen, his charisma and charm could leave some in pure awe- and all five could think the first time he watched the movie was “i want to be this guy” rather than “i’d want to marry this guy”

with gomez and morticia’s dynamic from the movie, he will definitely incorporate their relationship on how he wants to treat his own s/o, like how he acted with delores, he was all in love and sappy, speaking italian just for her, he definitely took inspo from gomez with all of that, i just know it!!!

in a relationship with you, he would also try to know everything you like, your fixations, hobbies- he appreciates your intellect with your interests, always making sure to listen as you ramble on as your own eyes twinkling with pure interest and he only smiles softly, smitten by the sight of your love for this, how knowledgeable you are, even if its a ‘stupid’ interest or just something so niche others wouldn’t understand, he would try to fully comprehend it- as if it were one of his equations, he would study it just so he can talk to you about it, and see the excitement that radiates out of you when you realize he’s actually interested in knowing, that it wasn’t just a lie to keep you talking as they did something else- no, you notice it- his genuine interest that you see when he talks about his own theories peeks out so clearly, even if he tries to not let it out

if you speak other languages, he will try so hard in learning them just so he can somewhat impress you (for fellow filipinos however…. he cannot pronounce manananggal for the life of me…. you once had him try to say it but it ended up taking half an hour full of his tongue twisting from both his accent and the amount of “n” sounds w the word.. so basically he almost chucked a translator book to the wall— so uh… take that headcanon and r u n)

with his type (romantically), i think he doesn’t have one honestly— its more on the idea that he cherishes anyone who would care for him and vice versa, for example, he finds his siblings ‘annoying’ from their actions, personalities, likes, goals, ideologies and etc, but he still cares for them becos they’re important to him, with you, he could care less if you were rough, brash, shy, not so outgoing as others or something ‘normal’ society wouldn’t appreciate, he isn’t normal either— he’s a guy with a bloody background and superhuman powers, why would he care that much? if anything he would only appreciate you, even if you’re the polar opposite or almost carbon copy of him, if he truly cares about you, he accepts everything about you, just like how he accepts how his family is just dysfunctional as he is

in the topic of relationships and sexuality— i also think that he’s in the aroace spectrum- specifically demiromantic and aceflux (for those who don’t know- demiromantic means that he feels romantic attraction once he develops a strong emotion connection) (as for aceflux, its when someone sometimes feel sexual attraction, but in other times they don’t feel attracted that way, its fluid; changes even)

^ with that said- though its a well-known headcanon, i think he discovered it when he feels uncomfortable with the handler’s flirtatiousness, knowing it was fake— he likes sincerity that are peeking through the mask— not just soft smooth words that sway everyone else, he wants to feel truly loved, especially with everything he’s experienced atp

and now for cough cough scenario headcanons… drum roll please……

five successfully going back to 2019 with ONE (giant) mishap: he’s back in his 13 yr old bod, pre-transitioned AND… he was technically closeted too so.. oh brother….. at least…… he was a late bloomer as a kid so he’s pretty okay that he doesn’t need a binder again.. yet.

HOWEVER, he definitely stole school boy shorts from the other boys’ childhood closets cos his old closet only has uniform w the skirts

he also mentioned that he refers himself as a boy to the rest of the umbrellas so bluntly his family just goes with the flow (they’ve witnessed far more bizarre things atp, they don’t dare try to question this cranky little shit)

five being so ANNOYED with his higher pitched voice again cos he hasn’t took testosterone yet at 13 (he took it once he was in the commission as part of ‘extra’ stuff in his insurance (cough the privilege of being the handler’s favorite cough))

he always— painfully itches himself every time, his fingers scratching his own skin as if he’s trying to get out of his own body, because he doesn’t feel right— he feels like he’s found himself in the different room; it felt wrong to him

with the body change in s1, when handler said he’d give him a better body, she definitely tries to poke him the fact that its a cis male body as a manipulation tactic cos she she knows about his gender dysphoria :”(

speaking of gender dysphoria, it makes his annoyance for being back at his 13 yr old even more prominent cos frankly, he feels like he’s not himself again, especially after finally being so euphoric fully transitioning and all- he has do it all over again, including the insecurities

: younger you (either stealing from your parent who’s a doctor specializing w gender reassignment or from a literal clinic).. just stealing testosterone pills from the cupboard trying to give it to pre-transitioned five— and five is just touched- almost tempted to actually take it, but he doesn’t take it- instead he blips, then puts it back but he still appreciates the thought :((

the euphoria of him wearing his first binder, his first suit, being finally referred as sir and he/him for the first time— right after- when he gets to look at the mirror, he feels so manly, and for once- he felt right in place, not as if he were a missing piece in the wrong puzzle

you referring him as your boyfriend, or husband even, he won’t admit it, but it puts the most giant smile in his face, and his ears go red just from it, not just he feels so honored, but its also cos he feels so validated by you, someone he cares about so much that he swears he could kiss you right then and there <33 (he doesn’t, but in closed doors, he slipped a little peck or two) (i just love this man sm i cant)

hi ok hear me out. new design/story challenge.

Step one:

Find four to five clan generators on perchance (or you can use clangen’s randomizer if you don’t want to do designs).

Step two:

Using the first generator, generate your clan’s name and any other details the generator has aside from connected characters.

Step three:

Using the other three or four generators, pick five of the list of cats you get from them and add them to the clan you generated in the previous step. You can use any method to pick them, it doesn’t have to be random so long as they’re randomly generated. This will get you 15-20 cats to mess with, and you can change their roles and ages to better suit whatever idea you have in mind for them.

Step four:

Design a story and/or look for the cats you picked. This can happen however you want it to, at this point you get 100% free reign over the challenge!

*Note: for cats outside the clan, add an extra clan or cat generator and pick any number of cats given between 1 and 5!

By the end, you should have an interesting group of characters with varied descriptions or even similar descriptions if you picked them meticulously! Here is my attempt under the cut:

Generator 1: Detailed Clan Generator by Raggedflight

Name: Harryclan

Territory: A large island covered in grassy hills with a river that runs through it, far from any other group.

Camp: Surrounded by tall grass and wheat, which makes up their dens. There is a large herb patch in the grass.

Landmarks: Abandoned Quarry (A huge, abandoned quarry filled with water. it is excellent for hunting and herb gathering.), The Blackbird Tree (An ancient cottonwood tree where many blackbirds live.), The Fallen Birch (An ancient birch that is entirely hollowed out, where many lapwings live.), and Tall Hickories (A large grove of very tall hickory trees that twolegs planted, where many smaller rodents and some foxes live.)

Common herbs: Borage, Dock, Lavender, Marigold

Rare herbs: Burdock root, Rosemary, Coltsfoot

Climate: Cool and rainy in newleaf, hot and sunny in greenleaf, warm and rainy in leaf-fall, and freezing in leaf-bare.

Ancestor meeting place: The Moonpool (A small pool surrounded by boulders, with a small river running into it)

Clan call: “Let all cats in Harryclan gather beneath the tallpile!”

Special traits: Good night vision, and can fall from heights with little injury

Notes from the rest of the info: A clan leader was recently struck down for disobeying the code, and there was a pair of old unsolved murders before that. The murders were of a leader and a warrior; the leader happened before the war and the warrior after.

Generator 2: The clan generator we’re all used to

Ravenpaw, Rookpaw, Thriftstar, Beefoot, Waxtail

Generator 3: A pretty one with neat names that provides a little depth.

Antflower— beige and creamy-white molly with odd slightly darker-colored spotting. Educated and compassionate, keeps her den clean.

Patchpoppy— Tawny sphynx tom. Balanced and quiet.

Furledbrook— Warm brown cat with a jagged scar across their face. Disciplined and critical, the healers like them.

Twistblossom— Creamy white ticked tabby tom. Irresponsible and cheerful, wants to help everyone.

Sniffpaw— flea-ridden, creamish-orange cat with half-lidded gray and hazel eyes, a burn scar on their throat and a very short plumy tail. Wants to be named Sniffleaves; talented and easily annoyed, loves to decorate the camp with seashells.

Generator 4: A generator that provides kits and cat ages. Note: the leader it generated’s warrior name was fishfish and i love them for that.

Goldeyes: Aggressive, dull, swift tabby blue-grey tom, with a blue muzzle, and light green eyes. 59 moons old.

Thundersky: Stubborn, irritable swift grey molly with a blue-grey paw, and kind orange eyes. 56 moons.

Brokenbreeze: Caring, lean white she-cat with dull blue eyes. 39 moons old.

Larkkit (dust): Nice, affectionate, and diligent lean orange molly with green eyes. 5 moons.

Snowkit (flame): Brave, caring, and malicious small gold tom with kind blue eyes. 2 moons.

Generator 5: another with cool names, and also options for what generates!

Sparrowwish: Spotted golden molly.

Minnowthistle: greenish-brown tabby jack.

Morningwing: Black-and-white tom with a crooked jaw.

Risingstripe: Solid grey molly with pretty hazel eyes.

Downswan: yellow molly.

MY INTERPRETATION OF THIS:

Our main character, Patchpoppy, is a former kittypet once named Patches who was brought to the island by twolegs exploring, and ran off thinking they would look for him. They did, but he didn’t know that because he was never found. He wears a tattered shirt that helps him insulate and keep from getting melanomas, as he is a sphynx. He is trying to figure out who killed the leader and deputy before Poppystar, Thriftstar’s predecessor who was struck down for encouraging kits to fight and train before their 6th moon. He’s already asked Thriftstar many times about the incidents he keeps hearing about from the elder Risingstripe and her recently retired mate Downswan. His best friend is Morningwing, and multiple cats in the clan make fun of him for his lack of noticeable fur and his dirty green sweater, though Morningwing says it looks nice on him.

Thriftstar is always shutting down questions about Poppystar and whether or not she was the murderer, usually saying something like Poppystar could not have killed the leader before her, Muckstar, or his deputy Rootslash, as the events happened while she was on a moon-trip to the quarry for resource gathering. And no, it wasn’t the foxes they were at war with at the time, either, because the bodies held the scent of cat.

Patchpoppy eventually finds something important at the old crime scene, which has been abandoned for a few years because the cats are afraid to go to the spot they found both leader and deputy violently dead at. It’s an old, worn collar, something the cats of the clan shrugged off because it didn’t register as something other than a scrap of cloth to them. Patchpoppy used to have one, though, so he immediately recognized it, and brought it to the camp, declaring that there must be a murderer somewhere on the island who would have had the collar as theirs.

The cats all brush off his theory, as no one has seen a kittypet other than him in moons…

… Downswan and Risingstripe seem wary, however. Maybe they know something?

Character notes:

Ravenpaw is Morningjaw’s apprentice and why morning is not as present in the story as the best friend usually would be.

Rookpaw is Thundersky’s apprentice.

Sniffpaw is almost a warrior and is Sparrowwish’s apprentice.

Antflower is their healer/religious leader, Thriftstar is the anxious leader that Poppystar manipulated into being her little puppet, and Brokenbreeze is the deputy.

Minnowthistle, Downswan, and Risingstripe are all dating and retired.

Goldeyes wants Larkkit to be his apprentice.

Furledbrook got their scar in a fight with a fox.

Snowkit is not really malicious in a grown way, more like he just constantly plots to annoy and pester the warriors because he thinks it’s funny.

Beefoot and Waxtail are mates and the token straight couple. Larkkit is their kit.

Snowkit is Waxtail’s younger half-brother (They are Thriftstars’s kits, and his partner died recently of an illness) so the nursery is a little awkward right now because Snowkit is growing up with a niece older than him.

the remaining family trees are ambiguous rn because i dont wanna think about making an isolated clan on an island work

Thriftstar’s mother was a LaPerm that left him with the clan.
