Every year on Christmas my grandma used to make me a pair of wooly socks. The last pair she ever made for me were red and sparkly and I love them very much. This year we didn't do Christmas presents, or really celebrate at all. But out of the blue, the grandma of my support kid knocked on my door with a pair of white, knitted socks and a card that said "Merry Christmas from Granny". And she didn't know, but it meant the world to me.

Not writing a full analysis right now but Max has an anxious attachment style which is why she broke up with Lucas so frequently in season 3 because him begging for her back validated her need to feel wanted and like he wasn’t gonna leave her.

In season 4, they had a healthier version of this in which she pushed him away more intentionally but he made it clear that he was there and would still be there whenever she was ready to come to him.

I love watching the quiet, everyday character growth in the anime.

Hajime is probably born, and definitely raised, as an overachiever and knows he is difficult to get close to.

I love watching him realize that he can be ambitious and aim for perfection and be the smartest guy in the room and his friends will stick with him. And then he can be imperfect and not know the answers and be rather dense at times and his friends will still stick with him.
