i see this jason todd who actually looks his very young age (instead of the 30yr old man that comics like to portray)

and feel my heart breaking just imagining bruce beating him up, almost killing him, mind-breaking him, and just overall being a total piece of shit father towards him.

a huge chunk of the reason why people don't view bruce's actions towards jason as abusive or wrong is because jason doesn't look his age. he's drawn to be this 35yr old father of three who looks even older than dick (and way too on par with bruce) that people see their fights as one between batman and any of his regular rogues. when they fight, it just looks like batman is fighting a man his age and not an actual young person. it doesn't look like batman is fighting his son who's barely even drinking age (and who def wasn't drinking age in utrh). their fights are portrayed in a way that eliminates the very real power struggle between them.

this applies to jason's entire character as well. a lot of people don't sympathize with how he died or his actions as robin or his fights with the other bats because he doesn't look his age. he always looks older and scarier than everyone else. tim has many sympathizers from the titans tower incident because jason just looked like a grown man fighting a 12yr old (even tho i disagree, tim was built and like 17 lmfao).

anyways, i just wish comics would actually draw jason to look his age, which literally ranges from 19 to early twenties. he's young- so young, and it's so annoying to see him drawn and written as someone older than even bruce.

#the way everyone in jason's robin run saw him as this adult despite him being 12-15 #like what the fuck #just because a child has experienced more than the average adult doesn't make him any less of a child #it's like the typical groomer thought process #if jason was shown younger in arkham knigjt for example there'd be less people calling him whiny #they showed 15yr old jason's torture scenes like he was a 25 yr old #he should've been shown as the small child he was #it would've put more perspective into how cruel and fucked it was of the rogues to torture a literal child #and then bruce almost killing him in rhato...#now imagine if jason looked his age there #honestly this all just feeds into the idea that jason feels too small for his big body #imagine being this tiny kid growing up and then dying and coming back to life as this tank #arghhhhh!!!!!#jason todd #red hood #batman #jason peter todd #bruce wayne #jason todd deserves better

Can I PLEASE get a fanfic where a crime podcast had gone over the death of Jason Todd-Wayne and how very abrupt and publicly vague the story was during the press release. And now Jason is pissed bc Bruce is forcing him to lie low bc Jasons highscool yearbook photos are currently being passed around all over the internet and people will definitely recognize him if he's out in public.

Like do you guys realize how crazy suspicious Bruce would be if someone else just digged a little deeper? How the autopsy reports are either not allowed to be public, heavily edited, or just straight up the truth and you just have to dig around to find it. All 3 scenarios are hella sus bc either way Bruce Wayne is hiding something.

Anyway we all know how unethical some crime podcasts can get and I can see a scenario where they shine some light of speculation towards Bruces way and how he has to play damage control until this entire thing blows over.

Jason’s kid: *inhales*… Look what Millie did to me…

*minutes later*

Inspired by another post I just read that I can't find now:

Conner Kent is a clone of Clark Kent, but instead of using Lex Luthor's DNA, they used Jack Fenton's.

Why? Let's pretend lex Luthor's DNA didn't work because of reasons (maybe kryptonite exposure? In Smallville, that's why he's bald). Jack is an absolute tank of a man, that's reasonably intelligent, and remarkably similar in appearance to Superman (strong jaw, blue eyes, black hair, really tall).

How did they get Jack's DNA? 3 ideas.

1) Vlad. He got some of Jack's DNA because he was planning something, but ended up giving it to Lex/Cadmus as payment for help on one of his schemes.

2) Jack sold his sperm to a sperm bank for money in University. Cadmus probably didn't start their cloning tests with the rare and valuable Superman DNA that they had. They bought some samples from sperm banks off the black market.

3) Jazz and Danny were actually conceived through IVF/the Fenton's used a surrogate. Let's face it, Maddie's got some weird body proportions. Her torso is thinner than her thigh , so it's not unreasonable for her to have some medical issues.

Result: It comes out that Jack is also Conner's Dad.

Jack: Heck yeah! New child to love and teach about ghosts!

Maddie: Honey, aren't you worried that he's a clone?

Danny: At least this one's not mine.

Maddie: What are you talking about?

Jazz: Being a clone must be so invalidating to his psyche. I'm going to need new psychology books to help Conner through this tough time.

I'm not saying Jason attacking Tim titans tower is actually all that brutal, cause it's not. And physical fights aren't uncommon for siblings. And that you can make jokes about "peak sibling behavior" and that its funny.

But I hope the people saying this understand that siblings beating each other so badly they have scars and bruises that their parents should have intervened. Like. You understand that right. Children sending their siblings to the hospital is bad, and as a parent you need to do whatever you can to stop that. Do you get that.

I have a headcanon- (not in the actual comics but yknow the bat fam fandom)- that in his robin days Jason would wish that he'd get hurt on patrol so that Dick would come to the manor and comfort him.

He thought since Dick hated him, maybe if he got to be a big brother in an event where bruce was absent, they could bond.

The first time Jay got shot, he woke up in the cave infirmary and looked around to find Dick, who wasn't there. What he did hear was Dick yelling at Bruce over the comms.

That day, he also realized that Bruce didn't care if he got hurt, only that it could have been prevented. The only one who cared about Jason for Jason was Alfred. And thats why they have such a close bond.

Anyways. Enjoy some Jason todd pain

Okay, so angsty AK! Jason X reader idea…

Jason is waiting in his cell, all beaten up, bloody and in agony…

Suddenly, Joker bursts in and tosses a girl to the ground near his feet…

Not just any girl… but Jason’s crush from school… Y/N L/N…

Joker then goes into detail, saying after he disappeared from classes, she organized a search party for him with many fellow students. But she got too close to the truth…

Thus, Joker brought her there…

Cue Jason becoming protective of her and Joker figuring how to take advantage of this new ‘soft spot’…

Cut to moments later, when Joker finishes his daily session, Jason and Y/N are just talking… wondering in fear, what is gonna happen to them next…

(Maybe, a little ending with Arkham Knight! Jason and Y/N being married and have a kid on the way, just to add a crumb of fluff to the angst)
