As an elucien shipper, I don’t like tamlain. But the theory video you were ranting about was polite and articulate - and, with all due respect, you glossed over the most important points. I can respect elriel, but it’s a little ironic that you call yourselves the ship with the most “canon” evidence, but then turn a blind eye to the several canon connections between Elain and the spring court (or try and make Rosehall fit into it…)

But that video now has almost 30k likes. Go on tik tok, reddit, ig, facebook - everyone ships Elain with Lucien or Tamlin, and Azriel with Gwyn or Bryce, and even Eris. I saw a poll today on fb, and Gwynriel had over 1000 votes, while Elriel had 53 💀 The fact that people are rooting for these ships, *even when* elriel has more content thus far - speaks volumes about how many people don’t want it.

So it’s fine if you ship it, but it makes no sense to get on this app and continually act in disbelief as to why the majority of the fandom has a different opinion to you, bc for a while now, your ship has never been the most popular in the first place

It does fit 💀 I don’t need to ‘try’ and as for ignoring ‘canon evidence’ linking Elain to SC - I assume you mean, in the first book when Feyre says Elain would love it, and in the latest book when Nesta says ‘Spring Court was made for someone like Elain’. I ignore nothing but I also take into consideration, how Elain has said herself that Night Court is her home & she is thriving there. How Feyre has stated on more than one occasion, that Elain likes the work of gardening (so what would be the point of her going to spring where it is maintained by magic) & how Elain smells like Jasmine, which is what night court smells like. Other than those two instances & the fact Elain likes flowers, what else is there? The dress? Firstly, it seemed planned to me but let’s work on the assumption it wasn’t - NONE of the inner circle like Hewn City. But they all love Velaris. And where was she seen glowing in the very next chapter? So if that’s the case, should we say that Nesta belongs in Day Court because they have the best library? Or the Feyre should belong to a court with the best art? No. I don’t think so. People will see what they want to see. As for me getting on an app and acting in disbelief - who are you to police how I react to information I’m seeing? I’m coming onto an app, trying my damn best to tag correctly (which apparently isn’t good enough either) to talk to other people who ALSO can’t believe what they’re seeing. If you believe it good for you. And again, believe it or not, SJM isn’t gonna care wether you lot want Elain with Azriel or not. Just as she doesn’t care what I want, she’s going to write the story that makes the most sense to her - and at the moment that looks like elriel to me.

this is random but I think it’s funny, so I was lurking some Harry blogs that are literally dedicated to disproving his relationship with Olivia is fake, and it’s just so hilarious to me, like they literally think every relationship that Harrys been in that was high profile is PR, like for one blog I asked a general question on anonymous that was like “do you guys think haylor was PR purely based off the Central Park and NYE stuff or is there something else” and someone responded and linked a video off tik tok from some girl that had a third eye view ig from the Central Park thing and they were like, yeah Harry was away somewhere and Taylor was taking pictures with fans and they were only at the zoo for 10 minutes and said the paparazzi were strategically placed, and they were like “if you were in a relationship why were the paps there and why were you only there for only 10 minutes? PR?!!!” And I’m like……uh probably bc theyre high profile celebrities in a public place in one of the most well known cities in America and ppl recognized who they were, followed them around and somebody tipped off the paparazzi??? Like are y’all dumb?? 1+1=2. Like I’m not ignorant or blind to the fact celebrities do enter pr relationships for attention and financial gain, or that they call the paparazzi on themselves for set up scenarios to push a narrative to the media. But considering what WE know (we meaning the ones that know the tea) it’s literally not rocket science why they were photographed and their logic is so stupid it’s funny, like most of their logic is purely them looking way too into stuff and trying to play detective gadget, like one of them even had “degree in journalism” as if that automatically makes them an expert in PR and relations with celebrities like girl….

Oh and also they all love to push this idea that Harry just gets dragged by the collar in to PR relationships, and it’s always one sided, and he always looks miserable and the girl is the only one benefiting and Harry never acknowledges them and my thing is Harry is grown, yall are treating this man like he doesn’t have bodily and mental autonomy as if he doesn’t choose to be in these relationships with ppl, not saying any of them are fake or not, but my thing is y’all stan Harry based of his authenticity correct? So why’re you stanning somebody that you wholeheartedly believe consciously chooses to be in supposed fake relationships (apparently since he was 18), and when he gets negative attention for it wanna be like “aw poor baby, that fake relationship really took a toll on him” and I’m like that’s HIS own fault, like y’all constantly demonize every woman he’s with, calling them derogatory names under the guise of “she’s actually a terrible person so it’s justified” when most of the time it’s just misogyny. Like with haylor they’ll be like well Taylor benefitted bc she got material to make an album and I’m like you bitches must be dumb and have selective memory, like she was relentlessly degraded and harassed by not only 1D stans but the media and her peers to the point where she felt like she had to be single for a yeah so she didn’t get called a slut, like they really don’t know how bad that mentally fucked with her resulting in her having an eating disorder and her constantly being self conscious about her current relationship and thinks every person that enters a relationship with her doesn’t want to be with her, but yeah it’s poor Harry cus he supposedly looks miserable standing next to someone he chose to be with and chose to be public with. Sorry for the rant but uh whew 😅

THE POINTS YOU MADE. Whew. You stole most of what I had to say right out of the orifices of my brain, but I so agree. It’s such a ridiculous concept that every move celebrities make relationship-wise is somehow related to PR, as well as sad/disturbing and extremely insulting. I’ve seen people who are fans of Harry and/or Taylor say this shit too, and I’m like

1) Do you realize these two celebrities have always been very famous? They do not NEED PR, paparazzi were following them everywhere anyway

2) You’re attacking their integrity and saying they would sell themselves like this for albums. You’re cheapening their artistry by saying it comes down to PR.

3) I have to wonder what these people think is “real” if what they consider fake is just...two people on a date trying to be normal despite of the high-profile nature of their lives. Part of me questions the integrity of their own relationships, if they even have any (majority of the scrutiny comes from jealous or disillusioned “fans” projecting their own fucked up sexual fantasies involving themselves or someone else with Harry/Taylor. It’s very hard for them to come to terms with the fact that these people have real lives & that their disturbing fantasies are fictional, so they...just don’t. They find pseudo-truths in everything to cater to their fanatical lies. I once had someone say their PR class in university used Haylor as an example (the fuck kind of university they were going to I never got to know)...They scream “fake news” and go running in the opposite direction).

I totally agree with you when you say they probably left places in 10 minutes because there was a shit ton of paparazzi and they were two very young people in the spotlight trying to mediate in that grey area between “I really like this person, and I don’t want to hide because it makes me feel like I’m doing something incriminating and wrong,” but also “the relationship is fragile and we have to protect it from ruthless people who think our stardom gives them monopoly over our lives.”

Celebrities! They’re just like us.

You were very active on social media. As a model social media really gave you the free exposure that kept your name on everyone’s lips. These days, a girl had to use every tool at her disposal, and social media was a massive tool. Your management team thought it didn’t hurt you, so they allowed it. Of course, there are some things you kept off of social media completely, and sometimes you teased at.

At the beginning of yours and Chris’s relationship, both of you thought it was a good idea to keep things quiet. You didn’t want the hoopla about being his “new fling,” and he didn’t want you exposed to that kind of negativity. He knew his fanbase was insane. For the first year and a half of your relationship, it was kept so quiet that no one but your families knew what was going on. By the time the public got wind of things, you and Chris had been together for two blissful years.

Today, at almost three years in, your relationship was not a secret. Everyone knew how crazy Chris was about you. He was not quiet about expressing his love for you, and he was not shy about posting pictures or little snippets that were about you. You two were crazy in love and had yet to get out of the honeymoon phase. When you got the message from Scott, you didn’t think anything of it. When you opened the link attached, it brought you to a Tik Tok page.

The girl was whispering to the camera about doing some sort of prank. She was going to walk into the room naked while her boyfriend was playing video games to see what he would do. You watched her drop the towel and everything and prance into the room. As expected, it took her boyfriend a whole of ten seconds to look at her and one second for him to drop the controller and approach her. When the video ended, that started your descent down the rabbit hole. You watched video after video of girls and guys doing the same thing.

Almost all the videos of the girls doing it ended just as how you’d expect. The videos of the guys doing it were mostly met with giggles, but a few you could guess what happened after the screen darkened. Thus started your wheels. You spent the next ten minutes trying to come up with a plan. You didn’t need a reason to be naked in your own house, but you wanted optimal results. You could pretty much imagine what was going to happen. You got on IG and posted a quick live.

“Hey guys it’s your girl Y/N. I hope you guys are well. So, I just got sent a video from one of my favorite humans on this earth, and it gave me a wonderful idea. I’m bored, and you know what they say idle hands do the devil's work.” You gave a sinister smile.

“Tune into my Tik Tok for just exactly what I mean. Bye, guys.” You blew a kiss to the camera and ended the video to post it.

A message came in from one of your friends.

MSG Simone: What are you about to do now?

MSG: Nothing, just mess with Chris a little.

MSG Simone: That poor man. I know he’s about tired of you during all this free time.

MSG: LOL. 😂 I know you’re right. TTYL.

As you were finishing up formulating your plan, you scurried downstairs looking through the rooms of Chris and your Boston townhouse. He wasn’t anywhere you expected. When you got to his office there he was behind his desk.

“Hey beautiful,” Chris greeted with a smile as he reached out for you.

“Hi, baby.” You approached him and allowed him to wrap his arms around your waist as you sat on his lap. Chris moaned and nuzzled his cheek onto your breast.

“Perfect attire you have there,” you pointed out, nodding to his half-dressed state. He wore a short-sleeve fitted Henley and his boxer briefs. He snorted.

“What? I think this is the perfect attire for where we are. Don’t you?” He nudged his hips up, sending his half-hardened member on your ass.

“Woah, calm down.” Chris trailed kisses along your collar up to your neck and your ear. Once there, he softly nibbled and sucked your earlobe. He was doing such a good job distracting you that you didn’t feel his hand creep underneath your tank top to grip your breast. When he gently pinched your nipple and rolled it between his thumb and pointer, you groaned. With his free hand, he trailed it into the front of your lounge shorts and quickly found your clit.

“Fuck.” You sighed out and closed your eyes, enjoying the feel of his hands on you. His moan was like a croak, and you knew what he wanted.

“Nope. I did not come down here for this.” You got off of his lap and took a few steps away.

“Come on. You’re really gonna say no to this?” He motioned to his lap where he was hard enough to proceed until he reached peak hardness.

You bit your bottom lip because are you kidding, your man was a whole snack, and he had dinner right before you. Shaking your head, you focused.

“I’m gonna say no. I wanted to know what you wanted for dinner.”

“I’m looking at dinner and dessert.” He rose his eyebrows, and you couldn’t help but snort.

Turning your back, you saw the perfect spot for your phone. Playing it off and knowing his eyes were focused elsewhere, you poked out your ass a little while you planted your phone, ensuring it was recording. When you turned to him, he looked ready to pounce.

“Fine, since you won’t tell me seriously. I’ll make whatever.”

With that, you turned and walked out of his office. “I know you want me!” You smiled at his cocky but absolutely true statement.

When you got back upstairs and calmed yourself down, a message came in from Chris.

MSG Chris: About to hop on this Zoom with the group. You wanna come join me?

A wide smile spread across your face. You couldn’t have planned this better.

MSG: No, I’m going to hop in the shower.

MSG Chris: Ooh, want some company?

MSG: One track mind. Didn’t you say you were getting on Zoom?

MSG Chris: They’d understand. We can reschedule in an hour. What else do they have to do?

MSG: Keep it in your pants. I’ll shower alone. Tell them I said hi.

MSG Chris: Boo!

This was perfect, you thought. In order to make it a little believable, you answered a few emails and got a little work done in order to pass a little time. After a good fifteen to twenty minutes passed, you got yourself primed and ready by stripping down, grabbing your towel, and just adding a little natural colored lip gloss and making sure your hair looked right. After being pleased with your reflection, you felt the nerves. This could go either way, but you were more than sure he would be embarrassed.

As you walked down the hall toward Chris's office, your excitement returned. You couldn’t wait to see his reaction. The closer you got, you could hear the voices from the Zoom. You heard Mackie, Pratt, RDJ, Scarlett, Seb, and Hemsworth. They were carrying on as if the zoom was nothing. They were laughing and everything. You also heard the sound of the tv. They were watching some old boxing match. This was a modern-day bro’s fight night and chill. You shook your head.

Before you walked into his office, you took a few deep breaths and dropped your towel, and walked inside.

“Aw come on, that was clearly an easy takedown he should’ve--,” Chris paused midsentence and just watched you enter the room. In one hand, he held his beer bottle, and the other was raised in the air to the TV before him.

“You alright, buddy?” You pinched your lips at RDJ’s inquiry. He sure was not alright.

“Uh—what’re—what’re you doing?”

“What?”

“Is that Y/N?” Scarlett’s excitement fully came through.

“Hiiiiiiiiiiii,” they all exclaimed in unison. Chris didn’t look as if he were breathing.

“Come on, dude, let us see her. Don’t hog her all to yourself,” Pratt groaned out. Chris gulped.

“Nope, you can’t—can’t see her. uh-uh.” You smiled and walked further in going in front of your phone, knowing that the angle wouldn’t show anything.

“Jesus Y/N.” Chris stood, and everyone on the zoom shouted out.

“Woah! No one wants to see that!” Hemsworth’s protest was loud.

“Put that thing away!” Seb mimicked the vomiting sound.

“What the hell is going on, man!” Mackie just sounded through with all of it.

You couldn’t conceal your laughter anymore and busted out.

“Wow, okay, so I’m gonna go, guys. I have some work to do here.”

“Ewww, work?” Scarlett sounded disgusted.

“Please mate, we know we’ll see you in ten minutes,” Hemsworth teased.

Chris dipped down and looked into the camera of his laptop.

“Ha, that might be how they do things down under, but here in the Evans house, work doesn’t end until me, and my woman are thoroughly drenched if you catch my drift. Later.”

“Wow, dip on us for some pus—,” Mackie’s sentence was cut off by Chris, closing the laptop and damn near pouncing on you like the predator he was. You screamed and ran out of his office, but you weren’t quick enough before he scooped you up and threw you over his shoulder. You laughed the entire way back to his office.

“Where you going with all of this running from me?” Chris attacked your neck and dropped his head to your nipple. You moaned and got lost again before you remembered.

“Wait, wait. My phone.”

“Nope, you don’t need it. I need your hands free for what I want you to do.”

“No, Chris, my phone. It’s recording.”

“What?”

You pointed to your phone on the ledge underneath the wall mounted tv.

“Why is your phone there and recording? Did you want to make a video?” He wiggled his eyebrows again, and you laughed again.

“No! oh my god, it was a Tik Tok thing. Walk in naked while your boyfriend is doing something to see his reaction.”

Understanding washed over Chris’s face before he laughed.

“Wow, so this was all a little trick?”

“Stop recording, or this will turn into a very different video.”

Chris’s eyes darkened, and he smiled widely. “Guess it’s turning into a whole different video. I’m not stopping anything.”

You stared at each other, and you could tell he was serious. Chris pushed you back onto the desk and plopped your legs wide open and got to work.

“Oh, fuck!” One lick and everything fell to the wayside. You could edit it out after all.

I believe I randomly found one of their parenting videos on Instagram and I immediately was drawn to that style of parenting and liked the conversations I was able to have surrounding it, but I also really liked how they specifically spoke on these topics. There are other people out there who discuss the act of “gentle parenting” and things of that nature that I’ve caught from time to time, Tori was just one of the first ones that stood out to me. I have no kids, but now I see more of this kind of content than your average single person, with no immediate plans to change that and start a family, ever thought they would. It’s all just so fascinating to me and I think it’s helped how I view kids, as well as even my regular relationships.

I officially follow them on Instagram, but I mainly consume their content on TikTok, however they also have a website with more things, they’re involved in, like a podcast with their partner.

During a Hasnabi stream one day, Hasan was reacting to a “based small business owner” from Tik Tok and I was like this is interesting and my world view is definitely attracted to this. The way that she runs her business is a very, I think she’d call it Communist, or a Socialist kind of way, one where everyone has the same take home pay and they profit-share and there is unlimited PTO..... and if I knew anything legit about the fashion design world I would send in my application to join the rest of the applications that they have to ignore because they are fully staffed at the moment. I eventually started watching more of her content and just started learning little bits of stuff from her and it’s been a great time. The system is completely messed up and broken beyond repair, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t have to find a way to live inside it’s walls and I’m grateful for people like this who drop their knowledge, even if I only catch some of it.

she wanted to hide her real identity at first for like safety reasons but then as she became more and more popular she kept lying to hide her shady ass past bc she’s definitely been arrested a few times for like possession and petty theft/shoplifting type shit and also she doesn’t want anyone to know that she grew up poor, and that all of her money doesn’t come from a trust fund like she says it does

and that’s because most of her money comes from scamming and blackmailing rich men ! also from being a sugar baby but generally most of her money comes from being manipulative and using her looks for evil. she always jokes that her job is literally jus being pretty !

she got most of her ‘fame’ from instagram and other social media, and she’s done a little bit of modeling but more than anything it’s just like being the face of a campaign or a brand ambassador or smth bc she’s too short for the runway so u know like mostly print stuff.

since her fame doesn’t really come from like ... talent ( i might make her a singer again later but for now she’s just Pretty ) she’s always doing crazy shit to keep her name in the press, whether it’s feeding into dating rumors or starting public fights with people, she’s always just trying to stay relevant and get attention ( plus the insta engagements lead to more sponsorships and brand deals sooo... all press is good press to her )

she is so selfish, and will always put herself first in any situation. she literally will throw u under the bus or take advantage of u without even thinking twice ok she’s so used to being manipulative and self-centered that she doesn’t even realize she’s doing it sometimes

that being said she’s super charming and tries to keep a bit of a balance with her reputation, like people expect her to be pretty erratic and unpredictable, but she tries to at least seem nice most of the time so that she isn’t just like... universally hated. she’d much rather be hated by a small group of people that have a reason to hate her but have a mostly ok public reputation, ya know ??

and some people definitely have good reasons to hate her bc she takes advantage of / steals from her rich friends a lot ( not her good good friends but like acquaintances )

if you actually manage to get through her walls tho she is a super loyal friend and will literally do anything for u, it just takes a lot to get there like she doesn’t open up to a lot of people and is super super selective of who gets to see her be vulnerable and express her true emotions. like how she’s really feeling bc she can fake cry on command so she can be tricky and make u think she cares when she rly just wants something

she’s also a huge partier and much more pleasant when she’s drunk or on drugs, except for the times when she gets too drunk and will pick a fight with anyone who is unfortunate enough to cross her path.

she’s very toxic in relationships and therefore never seems to stay in them long, but also dating people / making people think she might be dating someone more famous than her is one of her favorite techniques for getting attention, so she tends to jump around a lot and have those awful on again / off again type relationships

she’s also bi so her ass is rated e for everybody

a lot of times she pretends to be dumber than she really is so people don’t suspect her of being the manipulative mastermind that she is, and also she’s so good at lying that sometimes even she believes her own bullshit. she also purposefully keeps an air of mystery about her, especially when it comes her her childhood/background type stuff, she’s just really vague and will usually change the subject when it comes up

Is Lizzo Contrary to Body Positivity?

Let’s discuss!!!

Lizzo got into this controversy for sharing her juice cleanse routine on Tik Tok. It led to Lizzo trending all over Twitter with many expressing their disappointment of her dieting and her falling under the pressure of having a smaller frame due to the music industry. This controversy influenced my question-Is Lizzo contrary to body positivity-and is an extended conversation from my YouTube video about Lizzo’s brand. Before I provide my thoughts, here are others thoughts on the situation.

My Take

The controversy was very ridiculous and pointless, because Instragram influencers and models promote flat tummy teas and diet smoothies constantly, yet I don’t see a huge outrage for them “influencing unhealthy eating habits” or “promoting diet culture”. Lizzo just shared her juice cleanse routine and stated that if others were interested, then be advised by their doctors, She’s simply showing her lifestyle, such as dieting and exercising, so it made me wonder: when Lizzo is excercising and dieting, but she says she loves being big and plus-sized, is that contrary or against body positivity?

Anti-Body Positivity??

Before that tik tok was posted, she shared a video and the caption read.

“Wild to see the body positive movement come so far. Proud of the big girls who gave it wings. My body is changing but I’m gonna keep appreciating it from every angle.”

She’s been hinting at going through a weight loss journey and explains the tik tok of her disliking her body. After posting her daily juice cleanse, she posted the results of drinking the juice cleanse each day, basically to see her weight loss progress and explain that the juice cleanse helped to combat her gastrointestinal issues.

In response to the juice cleanse backlash, Lizzo intended that the juice cleanse was specifically for combating her gastrointestinal issues and to balance her body since she was eating and drinking a lot on Thanksgiving, but it was not for dramatic weight loss.

Based on prior posts I believe that Lizzo was trying to lose weight and I think she’s on a weight loss journey. It’s ridiculous that Lizzo has to explain herself when she exercises and diets, because other people are insecure of thenselves and projected their insecurities onto her. I don’t understand how its problematic that someone who is plus-sized is exercising or dieting, these are basic things included in our lifestyle and daily activities. Weirdly, she’s put on this pedestal of scrutiny and controversy for innocent things, because she’s plus-sized; yet other people are not held to the same task as her😕

What is Body Positivity?

I’ve seen posts from people who are a part of the body positive movement that criticized Lizzo for doing the juice cleanse. Many of them stating that Lizzo was being anti-body positivity, that she’s promoting diet culture and a toxic body standard. However, based on the concept of body positivity, shouldn’t Lizzo’s choice to juice cleanse, diet, exercise, etc be respected, especially since been done safely and been advised by her doctors.

Lizzo did nothing wrong, but people guilted her because they are insecure with their weight and body. Instead of personally dealing with their issues (counseling/talking to close family + friends), they found an excuse and scapegoat for their issues-Lizzo. Lizzo is so idolized and celebrated for being the face of plus-sized women and body positive movement that people started a controversy due to possibly losing their “plus-sized queen”.

For instance, one tweet from the pictures read “I’m going to miss seeing a body that looks like mine living wild and free like I want to”. It was so weird reading that, because Lizzo isn’t the only plus-sized figure in the media; she’s making it seem like Lizzo is the last big girl in the world🙃.

Another tweet reads from the pictures, “I think the disappointment lies in a lot of us (especially fat, black women) seeing ourselves in a woman who was so proud and confident in her body. It made us want to do the same to ours”. Once again, an insecurity, which should personally be worked on. Lizzo have been motivating and encouraging her fans to appreciate and love their bodies on numerous occasions. Lizzo can be an inspiration, but she can’t be the ultimate reason for them to embrace their bodies. It should be something that their comfortable in achieving, not just because Lizzo said so. Also, she never promoted anything negative about her body and that tweet made it seem like Lizzo just completely disregarded body positivity and said fuck body positivity.

As stated previously, this is an extended conversation from my YouTube video about Lizzo brand and I wanted to understand the opposing perspective. In fact, this whole juice cleanse controversy, along with other headlines and trending topics about Lizzo last year, inspired this video. I noticed how her brand, body positivity, have been affecting her brand since she’s came in the music scene with Truth Hurts. I would appreciate it if you watch and comment your thoughts on that video and this discussion (also subscribe and share my content as well😏).

I’ve basically concluded that this “controversy” was taken waaayyy out of proportions and was only “controversial” because Lizzo is plus-sized. I’ve seen many people on social media who celebrate their weight loss journey or completing healthy diets. In addition, I’ve seen people who celebrate and embrace being plus-sized. So the outrage for Lizzo’s juice cleanse was so hypocritical and dumb asf.

Overall, it’s an individual choice on what they want to do to their body. If you’re comfortable with being big, fat, plus-sized, then just do that. If you’re exercising or dieting to reach a certain goal, then do that. I understand the media and entertainment industry in general have always promoted one body type, which isn’t realistic for everyone. We all come in different shapes and sizes, so it should be represented thoroughly in the media, which is the purpose of body positivity.

However, it is unfair for Lizzo to be scrutinize for every little thing, whether exercising or dieting, just because she’s plus-sized. For instance, Lizzo was trending because Saweetie was eating junk food and people were like “but if Lizzo did that”. Literally, this situation had nothing to do with Lizzo, it was so uncalled for and unnecessary. Why not make that conversation about plus-sized individuals overall rather than just singling out one plus-sized person???

Lizzo always promotes self-love, encourages her fans, and advocates for body positivity, but the minute she does a juice cleanse all that gets thrown out the window and people from the body positive movement turns on her. A very weird and dumb situation. Interestingly, Lizzo expressed how she’s tired of being the brunt for all plus-sized women and how fame has amplied her personal struggles (like this stupid ass juice cleanse controversy). So the only thing I have to point out on the age thing is that on famous birthdays it says hes 30 but he’s allegedly 33. I’ve seen many people sus famous birthdays is wrong on people’s age so not sure he is the one to say I’m actually 30 or if they just have it wrong. The ig page c4houseupdateroom has the tik tok. The girl that reached out to bry is actually known in the 5sos fandom it’s tabitha she’s the one who looks like arz and from what I remember stalked him a lot but I could be wrong on that part because I know that info came from people who hated on her for looking like arz

Yeah, I’m not sure on the age thing. People on Twitter have said he’s said he’s 30, but they also haven’t linked anything to show that and I don’t know of any specific moments where he’s said his age off the top of my head 🤷🏻‍♀️

Episode #241: Reading from The Thirteenth Hour on Exercise in Seclusion and the Start of Like a Hood Ornament 1

On this week’s show, I thought I’d touch on the topic of exercise, specifically what you can do if you happen to be isolated (either due to a global pandemic or imprisoned for other reasons, like Logan in one part of The Thirteenth Hour, which we’ll be reading from shortly.

As it turns out, there’s actually quite a lot you can do even if you can’t go to a gym. Although being quarantined does not necessarily mean you can’t go outside (the virtues of short duration outdoor physical activity is something we discuss briefly though a scientific paper – see the abstract below), you can do a remarkable amount inside, even if you have little to no equipment. I’ve done a version of the workout that inspired the little passage in The Thirteenth Hour for decades. That workout was really nothing special – just having been the body weight exercises we did in martial arts classes and other calisthenics I recall from an old Canadian Air Force fitness manual I had as a kid that we probably got at a garage sale. If you’re interested, Arnold Schwarzenegger put together a similar routine that is available for people to access here.

Here’s the passage from The Thirteenth Hour:

They’ll break you if you let them. I wasn’t the strongest person out there, and though I always had hope, now I had purpose again. I started from the beginning, with my body, the only way I’d learned how. Every morning, after I woke up, I would wash my face and clothes, if they needed washing. Then I did calisthenics – pushups, sit–ups, stretching – like I had done when I was in training. My muscles felt deconditioned from lack of use and malnutrition, so much of my strength had left me, and everything was more difficult now.

It’s hard to take it slow when your never–resting mind can envision all the things it’d like your body to be able to do once more. But in the end, sometimes it’s best to just get busy trying and spend less time thinking.

When I could comfortably walk around my cell and jog in place, I slowly motioned through the different hand–to–hand combat techniques that I had learned during my training. Who knows, I thought, if I make a break for it, I’ll need those techniques the most. After a few weeks, my stamina began to reassert itself, allowing me to wage ongoing battles against that cloaked magician, Klax. Whenever I felt myself growing tired, I saw his form in my mind and practiced harder.

More than once the guards rushed into my cell, thinking that I had collapsed or died because I was lying face down on the cold stone floor. I was actually just resting, but my guards had grown somewhat fond of me, they said, and didn’t want anything bad to happen to me. I was never sure if they were telling the truth or not; I’ll bet Klax would have had their necks if they had been so careless as to let me kill myself without his being able to see.

My agility came back last. The cell was not large enough for much, but the ceiling was high and my boots were padded, so I figured it was worth a go. Pretty much anything is, though, after you’ve been cooped up in the same room for weeks.

I tried standing on my hands again, at first with my feet resting against the wall to accustom my arms to the change in weight they’d be frequently bearing in the near future. Then handstands without the wall. Then handsprings, and finally, aerial techniques. As for the latter, the first few times, the guards must have heard the sound of my feet slamming into the stone floor because they came running. They saw what I was doing, took it as a suicide attempt, doubled their checks on my cell, and, of course, made me stop at once, lest, by golly, I crack my head open on the hard stone floor. I was too far into my regimen to really care what they thought, and it just meant I had to practice when they were asleep or weren’t looking. And try to land softer.

There were a few times when I did go overboard and missed beaning my noggin on the stones out of sheer luck. It goes with the territory … sooner or later, everybody ends up bailing in midair. One minute you’re in the air, next thing you know, your jump seems off or things just feel weird, and if you have time to think anything at all, that’s about when you think some bad words, along with “this could hurt.”

But I knew that once I regained confidence in my body and what it could do, I would stop bailing. I knew my body would get used to being in strange positions in the air again, and I knew the best way to not get hurt was to go all out on each technique. I just wasn’t quite there yet, resulting in a few midair problems and hard landings on an unforgiving stone floor. I hurt an ankle after a bad landing – an easy thing to do if you’re practicing on a hard, uneven surface like the floor of my cell – but thankfully escaped anything worse. Luckily, I had a good set of boots – one of the few things Darian’s Army did right – that were light and flexible with thick, padded soles meant to withstand miles upon miles of marching and other abuse. Later, Aurora found me a mattress, which she intended for me to sleep on (which I did, of course), but what she didn’t know was that it was the mat I used to soften my landings.

So I finally took the plunge and created a little profile on Tik Tok. To be honest, I don’t get 95% of the stuff on there, but it has some videos of people making stuff and doing flips, so that’s enough for me. I mainly just use it to post some videos of the resin minifigures I’ve made. This is the backflip animation whose frames are above.
