Let’s just say Rayla having her arm protectively in front of Callum is a great sign that the Rayllum arc is going to go/ be paced out precisely how I want it to be.
Season 5– rebuilding the friendship
Season 6– rebuilding the romance
Season 7– full season of them as a couple again

Honestly, I cannot stop thinking about the moment in “The Guy That I’d Kinda Be Into” in BMC where Jeremy & the Squip say “absolutely!” at the same time because well, hang on.
So the Squip is supposed to tell him what to do/say & then Jeremy repeats it BUT in the song they say “absolutely” AT THE SAME TIME. It’s the one & only time (until the end) that Jeremy makes a conscious choice for himself after he got the Squip.
Jeremy was just 100% himself w/o the Squip telling him what to do/say. Which means that he really likes Christine for all of her adorkableness.
And I don’t know what to do with that information. 😵🥹🤗

"i think you have the prettiest smile in the whole world."
Lucas was staring. He couldn’t help it. Max was smiling openly for the first time in weeks and he was staring because it was quite possibly the best sight he’d ever seen.
Dustin had made some stupid joke—Lucas wasn’t really paying attention—but it had gotten a snort out of Max and made the redhead smile. She deserved that at least. After the Mind Flayer, after Billy, after Vecna, the coma, and whatever the fuck else she’d gone through, she deserved it.
“-cas. Lucas!”
Lucas was torn from his thoughts at the voice. He blinked a few times and noticed the Party giving him quizzical looks.
“Sorry, sorry.”
“Jeez, man. We thought…y’know,” Dustin said, trailing off. Lucas did know. He wished he didn’t.
The Party hung out for a few more hours until eventually everyone’s parents or siblings (or pseudo-siblings in Dustin’s case) came to pick them up. Max caught Lucas on his way out, a small grin on her face that nearly sent Lucas staring again.
“Hey,” she said.
“Hi.”
“So… you wanna explain what that was about earlier?” Max prompted, tilting her head.
“No clue what you mean,” Lucas said, shrugging.
“You staring at me like I’d sprouted wings or some shit,” she said, chuckling.
Lucas snorted, looking down a bit before turning to look at her, his voice softening. “I just.. I think you have the prettiest smile in the whole world,” he nearly whispered.
Max froze, her face nearly going as red as her hair. She stammered for a bit, grasping for words before seemingly coming to a conclusion. “Screw it,” she said, lifting up onto her toes to give Lucas a short, chaste kiss that sent both teens blushing like cartoon characters. “…See you tomorrow?” Max asked after a few seconds of silence.
Lucas was staring again, this time his eyes wide instead of smitten. “Y-yeah. Yeah. Tomorrow,” he said, smiling. Max returned it, turning on her heel before hopping onto her board and gliding down the street towards the trailer park.
Lucas watched her go, running a hand through his hair.
“God, you two are sickening,” a voice piped up behind him. His little sister was standing off to the side, her arms crossed and an exasperated look on her face. Lucas rolled his eyes before making his way over to her, ruffling her hair gently before hopping into the car with his mother.
