people will be like “[describes a neurodivergent trait without actually calling it that] isn’t this thing men do so stupid? all the ladies in the replies know what I’m talking about #feminism”

We do need to hype up balding the same way that we've hyped up body hair and men's tits and other things that are considered unattractive - if going grey in your youth is hot [yes, very] then so is going bald

tbh i will always sympathize with any young girl going through a "not like other girls" phase because it is almost always born of an environment where femininity is treated as frivolous and vapid while simultaneously shaming that young girl for any part of her that does not conform to rigid gender roles.

We respectfully obeyed, to cling to.
Chopping wood, drawing water, I’ll do anything for you
I’ll give you my arms and my eyes
I’ll give you my life
Without forgiveness or atonement
Once again, thinking about the Parallels and Hector's devotion to the people who accept him.

its quite ummmm dumb how the mere mention of ableism has become an invitation of mockery and unimportance, treating the act of saying something or someone is ableist provokes people immediately using that as an "oh they are making an excuse, they are calling random things ableist because they dont like to read" (i.e. someone pointing out that, yes, there are disabilities that make reading harder or are less motivated to do so, and it is treated as them being purposefully obtuse or dumb, which is ableist.)

One thing I've come to realize and appreciate as an adult is that sometimes when people are amused by my autistic traits, it's not malicious or condescending, but fondness because they care about me and like me, and my quirks and awkwardness and autistic traits are part of that. Like. Once I realized that, it's actually kind of nice

Came across a "comedy skit" where random XD girl meets fedora reddit guy something something, and the hate some people have for autistic people is actually scary to me. Like not just weird, but frightening. I hate this world so much
