Wait, why are you against people tagging with transandrophobia?
cause it's an incredibly useless word at best. or, it's people trying to invent "reverse transmisogyny" at worst (and I'm assuming I don't need to explain why "women oppress me for being a man" would be a bad take, especially in this context, right?). the term "transandrophobia" literally just doesn't describe any real axis of structural oppression, so I don't want people tagging my posts with it cause it annoys me lol (especially when people add the tag to posts that aren't even transmasc exclusive?!?!?!)
to clarify further (since I'm assuming this ask is in good faith, and I don't want to direct any hostility towards you specifically I promise): literally everything that's described as "transandrophobia" is just transphobia. there is no reason to label any of those experiences as something being felt specifically at the crossroads of transphobia and androphobia/misandry, because in case this isn't obvious: androphobia/misandry does not exist. no one is oppressed for being a man, and (in this context) they're only oppressed for being transgender. so ie: it's just transphobia. no societal man-hating here lol.
this is different than terms like transmisogyny, which exists because it is a real crossroads of oppression that does necessitate a label to describe. a woman who experiences both transphobia and misogyny needs a word to describe how both of those oppressions overlap.
so, simply put: you are not oppressed for being a man. being a man does not worsen any oppression you face. therefor, shoehorning "andro" into the already existing term "transphobia" adds no tangible depth nor additional purpose to the label - other than it being a weird and out-of-place "men's rights" thing
I'll say it again, "transandrophobia" is literally just trans meninism. and I wish I could express sympathy here as a fellow transmasc, who also faces the very real transphobia that's directed towards transmasc people, but tbh... I don't know how anyone above the age of 16 is falling for it. like, bro it's trans meninism. c'mon. :/
in before anyone pulls that "but being a man is inherent to my transgender identity! when people are transphobic towards me, it's because I'm calling myself a man!" card. to which I'll say: 1. again, the word u are looking for is just transphobia, like you are literally just describing a real and recognized form of transphobia. and an experience that affects more than just your one gender, I should add. trans men are by far not the only trans people who are hated and mistreated for identifying as their real* or chosen* gender. (*whichever descriptor the individual prefers). nor are they the only ones who are hated and mistreated for having masculine traits, physically or otherwise. in fact, I would go as far to say these two experiences are probably near universal among trans people facing transphobia, even if we face them with some variability. acting like this is solely or more harshly directed towards trans men is a very narrow worldview to have. and relatedly 2. yes, being a man may be inherent to your trans identity (it's inherent to mine too). but me being a man is also inherent to my homosexual identity. you can't separate the homophobia I face from the fact that I'm a man who loves men. but does this mean women oppress us men for being men (androphobia!), that women could never ever relate to my experiences, and I need to coin the term "homoandrophobia" ASAP because I'm clearly being oppressed so much worse than lesbians are, with their womanly privileges? no, obviously not. assuming u have a basic understanding of gender politics, that's clearly just pinkwashed incel shit. and it would be extremely stupid and misogynistic for a man to claim with sincerity, regardless of their marginalized LGBT identities.
yet that's exactly how "transandrophobia" truthers sound. and it's misogynistic as hell. I know transphobia hurts, but you don't need to reinvent meninism to talk about it. thanks for reading, sorry about the length, no one ever ask me of this again or I'm just sending u this post okbye✌️😗
