I know no one asked, but I have exactly zero (0) people to talk about bkdk with irl so here you guys go

My BKDK Journey

Yes, this sounds stupid, but my god it’s been almost three years of an absolute rollercoaster of feelings and denials and tears and revelations…

and if you don’t mind, I’m gonna rant about it.

To start off, i wasn’t always a bkdk shipper.

I shipped izu*cha at first (not saying it’s a bad ship btw; it’s actually quite cute. im just afraid people’ll be mad if I accidentally invade their tag lol), primarily because I assumed that would be the ship that became canon.

But also, my veryyyyy leasttttt favorite character… was Bakugou Katsuki.

When I tell you that I would’ve loved nothing more than to somehow spawn into the bnha universe and punch that brat in the face— AGHHHHHHHHHH

Now this wasn’t all his fault: A) I watched the dub first lol, and B) he reminded me of someone that i was not in a place to stand up to at the time, and his constant anger, yelling, and harsh treatment of Izuku—who i began to relate to—made me hateeee him.

There was a time when I literally said “if he died, I wouldn’t miss him.” <- this was later proven false lol

So, I was watching the anime dub with an absolute animosity for our resident deuteragonist, but on top of that…

I was watching it with a friend with a crunchyroll account who lived in another state that I was visiting and staying with for two weeks, so by the time i had to go back home, we’d only gotten up to the part where All Might was getting Inko’s permission to let Izuku stay at the UA dorms.

Anddddddd in my drive to consume more bnha once I got home, i somehow stumbled across an Instagram account that posted bnha sub episodes divided into parts,

but they only had season four and onwards.

Sooooo I never saw the second half of season three… more importantly,

I NEVER SAW DEKU VS KACCHAN 2!!!!!

(I will say that I had seen a couple photos/edits/etc, but I never knew what had been said, or why they fought)

At this point in time, I’d been exposed to a lot of the fandom. My fyp on both IG and Pinterest were filled to the brim with all things bnha (because this is what happens when one has a hyperfixation), so I saw a lot of stuff.

Especially fanart.

This is where I started learning about the different ships.

I saw a lot of the side character ships and thought they were adorable (kamijirou, todomomo, even kiribaku), but then I saw some with Izuku.

Izu*cha was a given for me. I didn’t think there was a single person that didn’t ship it. But then I started seeing fanart of ships like tododeku, shindeku, and bakudeku.

And my first reaction to finding out that people shipped my beautiful baby sunshine boi with the person who bullied him for years?????

HELLLLLLLLLLL NO

So with my (unknowingly) limited knowledge of their relationship, i was very much an anti (i never spoke out or anything, i just reallyyyy didn’t like the ship lol)

(And then, you know, I started to see all the bkdk hate online and kinda went “okay not touching that”)

But that began to change…

August 2021

…after I saw a manga leak for the first time.

I was scrolling thru my feed and all of a sudden. BOOM!

I was like 😧

IS THAT IZUKU?????

And i looked in the comments and yes it was.

I checked out the page and found that they had an entire account of manga leaks and was so happy.

I quickly began to read from the very bottom of that account, and it started from right about where Izuku first began his vigilante arc (i had no idea how much was in between then and where I left off on the anime, but I was willing to read it lol)

And so I waited diligently for the leaks every week (a practice I have continued to uphold lol), until one day, i came across an untranslated series of panels from the latest chapter. I looked at it and it was of Katsuki and Izuku, facing each other in the rain (you know the one). I knew the leaks would be coming a day later, but I wanted to look through them anyways, so I did.

I didn’t understand a word they said, but the pictures and imagery of them as kids then middle schoolers then where they were now seemed so touching…

And then I came across a pair of kanji that I recognized.

I was like “wait WHAT???”

I zoomed in and went “that— isn’t that—? That’s part of Midoriya’s name, right???”

And then I was like “wait a second… omg that’s Izuku, isn’t it. That’s the freaking kanji for Izuku.”

And it was!!!!!

So inside I’m having a mini freakout cuz—

Bakugou just called him IZUKU

Fast forward to the next day, and I looked at the translated version, and found out that not only did he call him Izuku,

Freaking

APOLOGIZED

And I was like “huhhhhhhh”

What happened between now and the most recent anime episodes for this to occur???? For Bakugou to do a complete 180 and apologize????????

Well, I finally got my answers…

November 2021

…when I started reading the manga.

I started from the beginning, cuz I wanted to see Horikoshi’s art style and the extra drawings and all the other stuff…

And when I tell you that Katsuki became a whole new character to me—

First, I read everything about early-on Bakugou— without hearing him yell in his dub voice—and realized “oh wow he really is just a kid with issues and a worldview that he’s now having to change.”

Then, I finally read what happened in that space between moving into the dorms and the beginning of season four (most importantly, DvK2).

Cried.

Then, oh then, I got up to where season five ended and the rest of the manga began.

. . .

Funny thing: back when I read the leaks to ch322, I remember thinking to myself, “huh. what did Bakugou mean by Shigaraki making swiss cheese outta him?”

😦

THE WAY I GASPED

AND THEN CRIED

OH MY FREAKING GOD

That was the moment where i truly ceased to hate Katsuki cuz holy character development batman

Then, of course, we see them in recovery

And then the vigilante arc and apology scene *sobs*

And then I was caught up.

(Btw I finished the entire manga up ‘til ch334 in just over a week. I read for nine days straight. During the school year. My emotions were all over the place goodness gracious I could barely concentrate.)

So that’s how I went from being a Bakugou hater to going “you know what he’s a complex character and he’s slowly becoming a better person” and realizing that he was now one of my fav characters and therefore cursed to die but I’ll talk about that later

Was I now a bakudeku shipper?

Hah nope.

December 2021

I began my dive into the true essence of any fandom: fanfiction.

Over the course of winter break, I had started off with fics that had no romantic pairing (I just wanted to see my boi Izuku), but then somehow stumbled across Mastermind: Strategist for Hire and then read the entirety of the For Want of a Nail series (shoutout to Clouds btw ❤️) cuz I was like “ok whew no bkdk fics” which was my mindset at the time.

But somehow (I can’t even remember how I found it) I came across a bkdk fic. It was called For Want of Izuku’s Toe Joint by Talavin (okay now that I think about it there’s probably a simple explanation lol).

I don’t quite know what compelled me to start reading it, but I did.

And I really liked it.

But not in the “I’ve been converted” kinda way.

It was like an “I shouldn’t be enjoying this why am I enjoying this?” kinda feeling. Like my head says no but my heart says yeah.

A really really really really guilty pleasure.

So, from that day on, whenever I came across any form of bkdk media, I would simultaneously feel discomfort and yet an odd sense of satisfaction.

A snippet of my daily life:

Me: *comes across bkdk fanart on pinterest*

Me: eww

Also me: *stares at it for like five minutes straight*

Me: who even likes this?

Also me: *saves pin to my mha board*

Me: not my ship

Also me: *scrolls down to more like this*

Bless my heart I was in such denial.

Bit of a timeskip, but nothing of note really happened in those last six months so here we go.

We’ve gotten to the point in the manga where the final arc is underway and Bakugou is about to KICK SOME BUTT

He’s revealed his Panser Strafe support item and I’m gushing about it to my friend (she kinda fell out of the fandom but still tolerated my rants bless her)

Oh, side note: it was then that I also expressed my concern for Bakugou’s “alive” status

Utterly gobsmacked. Cried. Disbelief. Horrified. Confusion. Anger. Went through the five stages of grief and then some.

Sometimes I hate being right 🥲

But the good thing that came from this was that my positive view of Katsuki only grew after seeing his utter faith in Izuku (and his thoughts being on him in his final moments???? 🥺🥺🥺)

And it was at this point in time where I could admit to myself “you know what? i see it. i see the appeal. i wouldn’t mind this actually becoming canon.”

Did I think that it would actually become canon?? No.

I don’t know how I thought Izuku was gonna react to seeing Katsuki’s body on the ground, but GOOD LORD IT WASNT THAT

Even sweet little blind me realized “oh wow he like really feels intense stuff for Katsuki huh”

(But some things I missed—cuz I was still a bit wired for izu*cha—were shigarakis implications “yeah u looooove the present I got u” and the freaking HEART that blackwhip caused??? when Izuku reeled himself back in???? like how did i miss that i read that chapter like fifteen times??)

So this is all to say that I’ve missed any and all actual bkdk hints up until this point. I finally lifted my head out of the izu*cha fog when…

…Ochako and Toga had their chat about romance.

The first actual hint was when Ochako had told Toga “I’ll give you my blood for the rest of my life.”

Little blind me became a bit less blind that day, cuz I was like “um. ochako? that— that sounded kinda like a proposal. like. a marriage proposal. ochako??”

And then those chapters just kept getting better!!

…got Tumblr!!!

Everything was downhill from here folks.

In the best possible way.

I came across some analyses of what was going on with togachako, and consequently led me to some bakudeku analyses. I read them and my goodness they made so much sense.

Like not even just personality-wise!! Those metas brought in actual things Horikoshi said about wanting to go outside the norms of shounen (and about not liking the Naruto ending 💀), and compared bkdk to tropes in different works of fiction, and even discussed how bkdk made sense narratively. They properly convinced me of the ship.

And then for good measure, I reread the manga in its entirety thru a bkdk filter, and lo and behold things took on new meanings and my eyes were opened.

I totally and irrevocably shipped them! And I actually thought they had a chance at being canon!!

(And then I binged so much bkdk fanfiction omg you wouldn’t BELIEVE like I read the ones with the highest kudos first and then just picked the biggest collections I could find and read down the line

It was like being on drugs like each fic gave me more dopamine than the last I was so happy oh my god)

And then finally, the day came.

The answer to “is bakugou alive yet?” became a yes.

We screamed. We cried. We jumped for joy. We told bakugou antis to suck it. But most of all, our bkdk hearts soared to see our boys make eye contact with each other for the first time in over a year 🥹

And from that moment on, I truly began to believe that bkdk would indeed become canon.

And so, this concludes my 42672288 page rant about how I came to be a bkdk shipper.

“What the fuck are the nerd and Icy Hot doing in my room?” Bakugou growls, glaring at his grinning redhead flopped across his bed.

“Hello to you too, Kacchan.” Midoriya snickers from Todoroki’s lap on the blonde’s desk chair.

“Fuck off! Eijirou?!” Bakugou snarls, wanting answers now. They were wrapping up the year, and the blonde still hadn’t learned his limits so was one ill-placed back-talk away from reverting back to early first year and exploding someone. He just wanted to come back to his room and cuddle with his shark-toothed idiot, but instead, his two biggest rivals were occupying his desk chair looking way too smug to do anything but piss him off more.

He breathes before his palms can start crackling.

“Calm down, Bakubabe.” Kirishima smiles fondly. “They’re here for you, or rather to talk to you. Remember last month when Mina and Denki snuck booze in and you ended confessing a bunch of stuff when we got back to my room?”

Bakugou stares at him for a moment, gears obviously turning before it seems to click and his ears go red as he pointedly avoids looking at Midoriya. “What about it?”

“Well, you’ve been working yourself half to death as usual and both of us can tell you’re about to go off the deep end so I thought you would benefit letting off some steam,” Kirishima explains as he coaxes his angry blonde to sit next to him, holding him close when he does.

Bakugou does not cuddle closer when fingers start running through his hair.

“What do they have to do with that?” The blonde huffs.

Kirishima’s grin turns wicked. “Your one-sided childhood crush wasn’t so one-sided. Thought maybe we could both take you apart, and help you relax?”

Bakugou’s head shoots up so fast he narrowly misses smacking into the redhead’s chin as he stares at him wide-eyed and blushing. “You fucking told him?!”

“Bakubabe, Midobro told everyone during truth or dar- You were in the bathroom,” Kirishima remembers. “Well, I can promise I wouldn’t have said shit to anyone unless I was sure.”

Bakugou pouts at him before huffing. “Whatever.” He glares at the bi-colored boy behind his childhood friend. “What’s he doing here then?”

“Izu is my boyfriend. I think I should be in the conversation even if I won’t be in the bed.” Todoroki speaks up from where his chin is resting on the greenette’s shoulder. “I’m completely okay with all of this by the way. My only condition is that I get to watch. Izu almost exclusively bottoms and is really soft as a top.” A smirk. “The amount of tension between you two though? I wanna see what my baby looks like when he goes feral.”

“Sho!” Midoriya scolds, freckles standing out against his red face. “He didn’t need to know that! No way is he gonna let me top now!” The shorter boy pouts.

Bakugou, meanwhile, is a similar shade to his boyfriend’s hair as he takes in what the taller boy says and his mind goes wild from there. The other three in the room turn back to him when he lets out a strangled groan.

“Bakubabe?” Kirishima questions, trying to get a look at the blonde’s face and smirking when he sees the look in his eyes. “You like that idea don’t you?”

“Sh-Shut up, Shitty Hair!” Bakugou huffs, glaring at the smirking fire and ice user and his wide-eyed childhood friend. “...I’m not against it, but boundaries need set first.”

“Really, Kacchan?!” Midoriya grins. “You’re really okay with it?!”

“Yeah, sure, whatever. Ei is right. I’m stressed as fuck and could do with giving up some control. Boundaries first though.”

“No, of course! I assume you still have your notebook?” The greenette is practically vibrating with glee.

The blonde flushes at being exposed, but gestures for Kirishima to fish it out of the drawer. “Yeah, I still got it.” He grumbles, tossing it to the nerd. “...I guess Icy-Hot can look too since he’ll technically still be involved.”

“So you’re okay with me watching then?” Todoroki asks as he ends up being the one to catch the book when Deku fumbles it and opens it curiously. Heterochromatic eyes widen when he realizes what he’s holding and stares at Bakugou in shock. “Is this a book of kinks?”

Bakugou flushes darker but nods in answer to both questions with a mumbled yeah as Kirishima grins proudly. “It’s made communication so much easier when bringing things up. I have my own list now, too.”

Todoroki seems to be in shock as Midoriya is now reading the open pages.

“Are those plans for an Endeavor cuckolding fic?” The greenette asks, immediately snapping his boyfriend back to the present.

“A WHAT?!” He yells, reading closer. “Endeavor gets exposed-already invested...Jeanist shows him how to-. Why are you writing porn about my dad?! ...Send it to me so I can return some of the trauma.” He mumbles, now invested in looking through the pages. “I assume the highlighters are the stoplight system?”

Bakugou nods, fiddling on his phone until Todoroki’s dings. “Yup. Shows what I like, am okay with, or curious about, and will not do under any circumstances. Sent.”

“Thank you. I will make sure to not read it first. You’re not okay with someone fucking Kirishima without you then?” Todoroki hums as he notices the kink is red.

“Mine.” Bakugou snarls.

“Fair enough.” The taller shrugs, turning the page. Midoriya is already reading half the book ahead, lifting the pages to see.

“I knew you were lying when you said you were fine after the slime quirk!” Deku cries out when Todoroki flips to Bondage.

“...No wonder you were feral during the sports festival. I’m sorry I judged you.” Todoroki frowns.

Bakugou just shrugs as Kirishima holds him closer. “I’m okay with some of it. It just requires a lot more preparation and boundaries.” He grumbles, surprising himself with how comfortable he is sharing this stuff.

The other two furrowed their brows but chose not to ask right now.

They went on reading, piping up when something piqued their interest.

“So praise and degradation?” Todoroki asks. “Am I allowed to talk then or would you prefer I stay quiet?”

Bakugou blinks, even more, surprised at how considerate the other is being before thinking about his question. “I never thought I’d be in this situation so I don’t know. I don’t know you well enough to have feelings for you, but your monotone is kind of relaxing… I’ll tell you if it’s making things weird. As I said your voice is relaxing so if you want to help with aftercare, I should be okay with that.”

“Relaxing.” Todoroki hums. “I will probably stick to praise if I feel the need to speak at all. I don’t know what Izu will be like so for all we know a balance might be needed.” He shrugs.

“I seriously don’t know why you’re so insistent that I’ll go feral.” Deku pouts. “I don’t go feral.”

Everyone in the room stares at him stone-faced. “What?!”

“Muscular,” Kirishima speaks up.

“Moonfish,” Bakugou adds.

“Literally tried to help Iida murder Stain.” Todoroki hums.

“Rescuing me at Kamino.” Bakugou.

“Once Eri decided to help, Overhaul stood no chance.” Kirishima laughs.

“Me during the sports festival.”

“What about-”

“Okay! I get it! I’ve gone feral before!” Midoriya isn’t even trying to hide his pout as the other laugh at him. “No cuddles for you.” He glares over his shoulder as he wiggles out of his boyfriend’s hold, earning a pained whine. “And you.” He points at Bakugou. “Better be ready to not walk.”

Bakugou turns scarlet and his palms crackle. “I’d like to see you try, Shitty Nerd.”

Something passes through Midoriya’s eyes, and Bakugou shivers when he realizes the hole he’s dug and he can’t wait.

“Challenge accepted.” The greenette smirks. “Friday after exams?”

“Sounds good to me.” Kirishima grins as Bakugou nods, refusing to speak out of embarrassment of what sound might leave.

“Works for me. Can tell father to get fucked...I hate that sentence after what I was just exposed to.” Todoroki sighs. “Not that my input is as important, but I really want to watch.”

“Awesome! Gives us a few days to think and talk more!” Midoriya grins, back to being a ball of sunshine, before smirking as he looks Bakugou in the eye. “Can’t wait.”

Midoriya pulls Todoroki after him as he leaves the room, door clicking behind them before Bakugou finally lets the strangled noise leave his throat.

“Are you trying to kill me, Shitty Hair!” Bakugou yells, flopping back on the bed and grabbing a pillow to scream into.

All Kirishima could do was laugh as he pulled Bakugou into a cuddle. “Come on, let’s relax before you subject me to studying hell.”

“You better not fucking think cuddles will get you out of it either! We finally got you into the top 10 and I’ll be damned if you drop out of it!” Bakugou snarls, even as he sinks into the redhead’s hold.

“I know, I know.” The redhead chuckles. “But cuddles now, JSL later.”

Bakugou puts up no further complaints.

“So he’s definitely goading us, right?” Midoriya asks the day before everything is supposed to happen.

All week, Bakugou had been bordering between being a complete brat and peak seduction, and Midoriya just wanted to make sure he wasn’t losing his mind for no reason.

“He gets like that whenever he wants to frustrate me so I’ll destroy him so yeah definitely, Midobro” Kirishima smirks as he takes a gear off his shoulder.

“How do you not have a constant boner?!” The greenette gapes quietly. “He’s even being nice to Sho and I think I caught them play flirting which is not a sight I thought would be so hot, and yet I had the urge to drag Sho away by his tie and have him tease me like that.”

Kirishima’s eyebrows shoot up as he let out a shocked laugh. “I haven’t seen that yet, but then again he’s been thinking about this since you were preteens so chances are you’re being tortured so you’ll return the favor. ...confirm that of course, but that’s my guess.”

Midoriya groans into his mouthguard. “You two might have to make do with Sho. I might die before tomorrow.”

The redhead could only laugh at the greenette’s suffering. “It’s one more day. He’s not going to let you die before he gets the chance to test your strength quirk.”

It’s at this exact moment that Bakugou chooses to walk past in nothing but his jockstrap, and Deku suddenly looks like he’s ready for Christmas with how fast his face flushes red, a strangled squeak leaving his lips.

He doesn’t miss the smirk that decorates the blonde’s, nor the heated look thrown over his shoulder.

“Oh, it’s on, Kacchan.” He smirks before turning back to the redhead. “It’s odd how feral he is being on the Ace-spectrum.”

Kirishima just blinks. “I thought for sure you’d already have notes upon notes about that sort of stuff already. I mean I have no room to talk because I had the same idea at the start, but bro, you’re the research nerd.”

Midoriya raises a brow while trying to figure out if he should feel insulted or not. “...Explain?”

“I thought the same way when we first got together and was tiptoeing around everything related to sex because I was terrified of making him uncomfortable and him leaving. That’s honestly the main reason I’m so grateful you two are so similar in your detailed notes and fanboy natures because he eventually got pissed at my ‘pussy footing’ as he called it, and just gave me what is basically a kink dictionary. Hell, Urban Dictionary would probably cry if they saw the level of detail in that thing. He eventually made another notebook on sexuality for me because I had a million questions that, despite writing porn, he was too embarrassed to answer.” Kirishima rambles as he starts getting back into his uniform. “Like, bro, you yourself just called it a spectrum and that’s exactly what it is. Some demis may be just as uninterested in sex as ace people, while others just need a strong foundation of trust before they’ll even entertain the idea. Then you have BakuBabe who’s the second one except he got his foundation and took off running.” He finishes, getting his tie in place.

Midoriya blinks, before looking thoughtful as he stands there in his boxers. “That makes sense. We were at war when he came out so I guess I just never got around to researching.” He nods resolutely before grinning. “Thanks, Kirishima.”

“No problem.” Kirishima gives a toothy smile. “Now go get your boyfriend off of mine. I know damn well mine started it, but I have no clue why yours is entertaining it.”

He laughs as Midoriya whips around to see the smirking duo with Todoroki having Bakugou crowded against the locker. “You’re not the only one who has a little shit for a boyfriend,” Deku grumbles as he goes to drag the two-toned boy away. “Why are you like this?”

“Is it riling you up?” Todoroki asks bluntly as he’s dragged to the toilets.

“I’m not answering something you know the answer to!” The greenette squeaks, choosing to ignore the smirk decorating his boyfriend’s face.

Kirishima and Bakugou meanwhile are cackling at the two.

“Why you gotta taunt him, Bakubabe?” Kirishima snickers.

“You know exactly why, Shitty Hair.” Bakugou laughs.

“Menace. Absolute menace.”

Todoroki hesitates, still feeling guilty, but decides to trust the blonde’s boyfriend and does as he’s told, helping Kirishima rearrange them so Bakugou can be curled into the human heater, the warm hand resting on what is sure to be a sore back later.

Eventually, Midoriya slinks over as well and they form a little cuddle pile around the blonde, whispering, and cooing to get happy noises out of him. After about half an hour, clarity begins to return to red eyes, and the blonde yawns.

“Wha habend? (What happened?)” Bakugou slurs, rubbing his eyes sleepily.

“You dipped into subspace, baby.” Kirishima whispers, still petting blonde locks. “Feel better?”

“Mhmm.” Bakugou hums, curling further into the muscled space heater next to him. “Thang you.”

“Any time, baby.” Kirishima kisses his cheek.

“Should I now?” Todoroki whispers awkwardly.

“If you want?” Kirishima nods.

The dual-haired boy nods. ��Bakugou?”

“Mhmm?”

“Sorry about the cockwarming thing. I know your book said you don’t like gagged and you were out of it, and I know you did it ourself, but-”

“You’ve been dating Deku too long.” Bakugou cuts him off yawning. “Stop rambling. It’ okay. You gave me the option not to, and I chose to...Thank you though, but stop panicking.”

Todoroki blinks, ignoring Izuku’s offended huff but gives a small smile. “If you’re sure.”

“Positive. Now shush. More human heating pad.”

“Is that all I am to people?”

“Yup.” Bakugou and Izuku quip in unison, Izuku bursting out laughing as his boyfriend pouts.

“Brats. The both of you.” Kirishima laughs, kissing his boyfriend again before kicking the soiled blanket away and pulling away long enough to reach under the bed for a clean one. “Come on, I don’t think he’s going to stay awake long enough to clean him right now. Naptime.”

With that, they all arranged themselves so Bakugou had contact with everyone and drifted to sleep, all thoroughly fucked out, but more than willing to try that again.

Summary of the Ultra Stage musical 4 (opening day version) part 1

Hello!! GATHER AROUND.... i will write random thoughts about the musical 4, which was basically a bakudeku fest. I will try to stay in order. Apologies for typos, i wrote this in my phone.

So the start was the end of All Might, with a recap of Deku's story focusing on bakugou and one for all! All Might was also under a yellow or orange and green light. After this point All Might was mainly represented by an empty light (often deku and bakugou one side of the other). The recap has no old songs! Everything was new! In general, even in the rest if I remember the only re-used song was the theme of the "deku saving bkg".

The musical starts with the parents! We see Inko (adorable!!) talking to all might and in the background we see Jirou's parents. Mitsuki was amazing!! And she and Masaru were hyping each other up when they left the stage! I could not tell who was playing her tho.

Aizawa reprimanding the class was super scary! And bakugou looked sad the whole time. As far as I remember, no scene was cut. Also iida and ochako were always interacting it was so cute! there was a funny skit with Aizawa and Mineta, before the rooms!! THE ROOM SONG WAS AMAZING. Each character got a focus, and some had the rooms projected but others actually had physical rooms (small). Deku's was just all might posters, iida was a row of glasses, and KODA HAD BUNNY BAKUGOU. As in, Koda had a bunch of plushies and then Bakugou's actor hopped out, in a giant white rabbit suit and he hugged Koda. It was HYSTERICAL. Also a lot of characters interacting during this number it was hard to follow everyone!

Momo's bed was also dragged majestically on stage which was pretty funny!

After, the students met the other schools for the license exam, and Kirishima had to stop bkg from picking a fight. SHINDO was amazing. He blinded people with his smile, so aoyama tried to do the same and shake kirishima's hand while blinding him with his own smile, but it didn't work! Aftet this there was the quirk training, where the cameraman came really close to show us AM's teacher book.

There's a scene during the training where deku is watching bakugou, and only them are illuminated. Bkg is training, and Deku is talking about bakugou. Uraraka is behind Deku, a bit in the dark looking at him look at bakugou, she takes a step towards him and raises her hand to reach for him when AM and the other students come in and interrupts her. It's so similar to the Camie scene later, where she starts saying "deku -" and then the exam starts. Very strange! But that's how it felt! Btw, half of the musical was just deku and bkg staring at each other's, the only ones under the light, staring at opposite sides etc.. Okay next, we have also kirishima's new costume! The special effects for their quirks were so good, especially Mina's acid.

Five Random Things About GreeNade I've Thought About.

(I've been stressing over the KOSA thing so I didn't feel like working on this,so it took me a few days to get over my anxiety)

A ton of little things I noticed but are probably a coincidence:

1.When Deku was getting out of his girl phase it happened to be around the time he sorted some of his feelings out with Katsuki in Dk V Bk part two. (Also,Bk "complemented" Dk too.)

2.Shigaraki is the biggest GreeNade shipper. Why you may ask? His most recognizable part of his costume design are hands. And what's GreeNade's whole thing? Taking each other's hand. Also,he kidnapped Bakugo too,and that helped with GreeNade's relationship development. Shiggy GreeNade shipper confirmed. (AFO gets second place because he doesn't dress up for the part. Btw,this one is just crack,it's just a thought that's come to my mind.)

This Bakudeku\Dekubaku shipping Bastard.

3.Monoma has a perfect gaydar when it comes to GreeNade. I mean,this Mother Fucker knew insulting Bakugo would piss Deku off. If Ochaco were the true love interest then by that logic he would have insulted Ochaco to trigger a response. But,nope,he did not.

look at him,like,he's smug about knowing Deku's gay as hell for Bakugo.

(Also,something I completely forgot was Monoma did bring up Deku's other friends! Monoma even says, "You won't even take a glance at your allies? How cruel of you!" Obviously it was all tactics to distract Deku and make him slip up,but,Monoma so much as speaking an ill word of Bakugo makes Deku grow fucking TENTICALS! LIKE THIS MAN BROKE THE LAWS OF HUMAN ANATOMY BECAUSE SOMEONE SO MUCH AS INSULTED BAKUGO! And you expect me not to ship them? Like,dude. Also,a comparison I've never seen someone make is how similar Monoma and Compress are. And they both made Deku's feelings for Bakugo increasingly clear in the early chapters.Also,their mannerisms are very very similar,even the way they word things.)

4.Bakugo and Deku are complete poplar opposites in personality and design. They literally have the opposite eye color on the color chart. Bk,has spiky hair,red eyes,sharp shaped eyes,his face is also sharp ,and Dk,has soft curly hair,green eyes,that are round shaped,his face is so soft it looks like a baby. (Also,Bk doesn't have freckles,so that means that they're faces are even more opposite)

5.Here's the last one: Bk and Dk aren't just a cute complex well written dynamic,but,they're also aesthetically pleasing to look at. Thanks to how different they're designs are it makes them looks interesting and cute. They also have the best color palette to go with they're designs. Like one of my personal favorite things is the hair. Especially because of how pretty the ash blond and seaweed green look together.

Look how pretty they are. They just look like they belong with each other.

honestly I feel like cahiers are decent with posca because theyre not really absorbent and posca marks tend to sit on the page as opposed to soaking through anyways. umm i wouldnt like... use it to do a whole posca piece or anything but i use poscas just for pops of color in my sketchbook pretty often and it holds up ok. sometimes u can see the shadow of the color through the paper bc its thin but thats mostly it. i took pics of some sketchbook pgs and how the back of the page looks so you can see for yourself ( cw for bakudeku LOL ) ...theres a lot of like.. normal brush pen ink and india ink that penetrates the paper more like even compared to the black posca

I feel like I’ve probably talked about this before in another ask post but i dont really think about style because its one of those things that artists should try to change depending upon intention, what you’re drawing and what you want to communicate etc. what people often recognize as style are quirks that an artist maintains throughout changing their subject and approach.....ANYWAYS. thats all to say my style probably just comes out of normal stuff like looking at other art and thinking “I want to do that” or trying out different mediums and methods and settling with whatever feels the best LOL. It’s always changing & growing! Because I’m always learning new stuff!

Theres a lot! I really like the scene when daisukes lying awake in bed thinking abt how ken’s heartbeat felt. And the scene when they have a sleepover and ken wakes up first and looks over to daisuke sleeping LOL idk subtle stuff you can read very clearly as like burgeoning queer moments.. theyre recognizable from my own queer childhood and i love that in a kids anime. also at the end of the series when theyre fighting the final boss dude and ken grabs daisukes arm to ask him to jogress but hes shivering and daisuke just turns to say “youre shaking....” and in revenge of diaboromon when ken goads daisuke into endurance running by taunting him about soccer LOL (jock romance). but one i rly want to mention is theres this youtube video about how ken and daisuke’s honorifics change over the course of the series and how significant it is when they switch over to first name basis and honestly i think about it a lot THEY HAVE GREAT SCENES!! I love ken and daisuke

Ships are ruining My Hero Academia

---Rant---

If your an anime lover, you might already know that most anime fandoms are...toxic. You know the phrase "PLUS ULTRA". That my friends is the legendary "Boko No Hiro Academia". One of the most popular animes of all time.

...

And one of the most TOXIC fandoms of all time. Why might you say? Well, to share the truth, I love Bnha. It was my second anime after Dragon Ball Z. The moment I watched it for the first time made me addicted. However, I have been seeing some controversy around the internet about Bnha. I even took peeks inside Fandom and Reddit Discussions about Bnha. Most involves ships.

My biggest complaint about this fandom base is that many MHA fans ship "ships" that look like they won't work out even if they were canon. Give "BakuDeku" for example. In case you don't know, Bakugo and Midoriya (Deku) had a history from childhood to teenagers. Bakugo bullies Deku only because he was quirkless and weak. But over the course of the series, Bakugo has started to warm up to Deku and even apologized for his actions. BakuDeku sounds like a good ship...right?

To answer that question, yes and no. Yes because you can make this ship work. No because people ruins the ship by doing inappropriate stuff to them. They are teenagers for God sake! Thus, they make Uraraka the bad person! (Canonly, Uraraka and Deku is an obvious canon ship.) They even make Deku look weak or cannot do anything, made a feminist version of him (or the one that looks like an uwu cat), etc. I JUST CANT-

(On a side note: I ship BakuDeku before, but when I realized how the fandom is treating it, I stopped. So, I went onto another ship called BkDk friendship, a ship where they are close friends.)

To make matters worse, people like SHIPS FLIPPING ALL MIGHT AND DEKU!!! JESUS CHRIST!

People even simps way too hard on certain characters that they become fangirls/fan boys and make a MHA as their "girlfriend" or "wife". Cringy right?

If this keeps up, the fandom will just ruin the entire show for others. But to point this out, ships are okay to me and I support them...but if you were to make it toxic, that's not okay. There are other reasons the fandom makes it toxic but, I don't wanna go further. However, My Hero Academia is a good show and is worth watching. I suggest stay away from the fandom and stay on the positive side of its fandom. That applies to every show btw.

I awake and all i can see is darkness. " where am i ." I say to myself not expecting and answer but i get one. "Sorry snowflake i can't tell you." I recognize that voice. " wait are you ...... Shoto!!?!?!?!?" He takes the bag off my head. " wow snowflake you guessed it have i ever told you how smart you are." He goes to stroke my cheek but i turn and bite his hand. " oww" He slaps me. i start to cry. " oh snwoflake if you behave maybe i wouldn't have to hit you." " well if you would not touch me maybe i wouldn't react." He hits me in the stomach. I feel like I'm about to throw up. He starts to beat me up more hes a alpha and I'm just a weak omega.

✨️A month later✨️

Shoto still beats me everyday and he keeps saying he loves me and hes going to beat me till i get it in my head that i am his mate and only his. Today tho felt.... different a good different. " do you understand that you are my mate or will i have to beat you more." I don't get to answer before i hear an a door break down. " ZUMI WHERE ARE YOU!!!?!?!". I hear suki scream." HELP-" suki comes in and sees me but also sees shoto. " you took whats mine.... YOULL PAY FOR IT." ( sorry this is so cringey ) shoto takes a g*n out and points it at my head. " i suggest you do what i say or poor little omega zumi will get it." " No i will never do what you say." Before shoto can shoot or hurt me further Kirishima-kun ( is that how it works idk ) comes up behind him and grabs the g*n. The last thing i see is being carried by suki with him telling me to keep my eyes open.

Katsukis pov:

We were looking for zumi for days on end and i was getting so stressed out. It was my fault that she was gone. What kind of a mate and alpha am i if i can't keep my omega safe. Ive not slept or ate at all. One day after a month of searching we finally find her. To say i wass happy was an understatement. We find an abandoned shack and we here screaming from inside that sounds like zumi. I yell for her" ZUMI WHERE ARE YOU!!?!?!?" she starts to scream for help but gets cut off by me busting in to find her chained to a chair with a lot of bruises, cuts and, scars. I was beyond furious. Todoroki takes out a g*n and points it at zumis head. " i suggest you do what i say or poor little omega zumi will get it." " No i will never do what you say." Before todoroki can shoot or hurt zumi further Kirishima comes up behind him and grabs the g*n. I grad zumi out of the chains and try to get her to stay awake. She ends up passing out from blood loss.

Zumi pov:

A few days later I wake up in a hospital to find suki sleeping holding my hand tightly and my dad sleeping in a chair. I shake suki awake. " hey wake up suki " " five more minutes " " but don't you want me to give you a well deserved kiss." He bolts awkae scaring me a bit. I see tears well in his eyes. " zumi you're awake." He kisses me and i kiss him back the kiss is very passionate but gentle and his lips are so soft. * clears throat * i pull away blushing i had forgotten my dad was here too. " you hurt her bakugo and i will not hesitate to. k!ll you deal." "Deal sir." The door opens and the doctor walks in. " ahh i see your awake do you feel alright" " yes i feel perfectly fine." " Mkay let me run a few test on you and if they come back good you can go home." After the docter ran a few test and they all came back good we went home. " ok you two i have work to do ". "Mkay dad." I kiss his cheek. Suki nods at dad and both go up the stairs to my room. " what do you wanna do?" " i wanna do you." " then whats stopping you?" He seems shocked at my answer but recovers quickly. Smut ahead if you no like then you should go He grabs my waist and throws me on the bed. I giggle as i flop on the bed. He gets on top of me and kisses passionately but rough. He t@kes of my sh!rt and my p@nts. Leaving me in my undergarments. I break the kiss p@nting "Hey what about you i can't be the only one." He laughs and t@kes of his sh!rt and p@nts. Suddenly my br@ was ripped off and hes kissing down my body everywhere leaving h!ickes. I mo@n at every kiss. He takes off my p@nties painfully slow. I pout " stop te@sing me." " if you want me to stop then you have to beg." He rubs my wom@n hood lightly. " please d@ddy " " what was that i couldn't hear you." 6 months later we had a beautiful baby boy named izuku bakugo ( you see what i did there hehe ) he has my hair and eyes but both of our personalities. We couldn't have been happier.

you know I wonder how much of the reasoning behind girls and women in anime fandom shipping characters with the Goku/Vegeta dynamic so much (Naruto/Sasuke, BakuDeku, etc.) is because of how girls aren't encouraged to play sports or engage in competition in the same way boys are. I may be reading into things but I think, as someone who was raised as a boy, when I was a kid I was always just able to draw from my experiences and think "oh so Sasuke and Naruto are like me and my best friend who is just as good at basketball as me" so I never assumed it was romantic at all.

Like I think the amount of parallels shounen battle anime and manga have to sports is more than just this, but I think the pretty obvious purpose of the Goku/Vegeta dynamic is to highlight sportsmanship and improvement by competition, both of which are super important to a healthy mindset when playing sports as well.

If you hadn't had the concepts of sportsmanship and improvement by competition shoved down your throat as a kid, though, and were instead taught that "sports are for boys, dance and play with dolls instead" then yeah it really does kinda just seem like two anime boys who just have super passionate feelings about each other for no reason, which of course must mean they're in love.

There's definitely something extremely passionate yet usually fully platonic about having someone who is always just as good as you at a competition you enjoy and improving together with them. That's probably where a lot of young boys forge their best friendships, and a lot of young girls probably miss out on it and never really learn how powerful a friendship like that can be.

(this isn't to say i think it's wrong to ship characters with this dynamic btw, I'm mostly just trying to wrap my head around why these ships are so popular with female demographics, even when compared to other mlm ships)

you know what. i think this was just hilarious.

i was scrolling through my insta feed, as one does? when i come across some young izu//ocha fanart. it was cute and the art was good, don’t get me wrong, but it was the fact that they used a certain scene. a scene that we all know very well. none other than the infamous Bakudeku Scene ™ where izuku reaches out to bakugo in the river. this was showing izuku in bakugos place and ochaco in dekus place, and it was implied to be romantic.

My problem with finding longer fanfics is that I have very low tolerance for drama and conflict in fics, they’re mainly my little escape to soft happiness, but I would honestly love it if more people wrote 20+ chaptered fics that were just silly SoL, fluff, getting together, just, some plot ofc, but not like, a constant scary threath?

BNHA Chapter 335 “Dammit I Didn’t Want it to be Her”

So yeah someone spoiled me on this chapter’s big plot twist. Dammit. I’m not disappointed per se....but I feel like there were more interesting characters for this.

But first, Momo and JIrou finishing each other’s sentences.

BAKUDEKU BEING BAKUDEKU. Either Deku really does have Love Goggles on or Kacchan is way sweeter in private with him now. MY GOD I NEED TO SEE THESE TWO ALONE TOGETHER NOW.

THE CREW. Damn. Deku just looking at Kacchan with his usual “sugoi” face, Todo looking at Deku like “hey I tucked you in with a blanket and all where’s my love goggles”. I JUST NEED 1A CHILLING NOW.

Oh but Tomura! So who’s he ranting at now? All for One? HE SHOULD BE DAMMIT

MY PROBLEMATIC BEST BOY TOYA. Oh my god I love him so much. “I’m so done with this shit ya’ll. Revenge is stupid, I’mma go do something else with my life.”

Oh yeah and the plot twist. So I’ve followed traitor theorists for years who have been chatting about who it could be. Many pointed to the nearly conclusive proof for Hagakure back in the Class Rep voting arc when her vote was absent from the ballot, insinuating she was off stealing deets on the USJ. So I guess she was. Which ok. At least it makes sense. BUT DAMMIT THE UA TRAITOR ARC COULD’VE BEEN SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING IF IT WAS A CHARACTER WE’D SEEN FOR MORE THAN TWO MINUTES YOU KNOW?!

Anyway I’m less excited actually about this twist than oddly about what Toya, Tomura, and 1A are up to. I kinda hope Toya and Tomura are both getting fed up with AFO’s shit by now and considering pulling an enemy mine with the heroes to beat him, since both Deku and Todo kinda want that to happen. Or something. Oh and the usual 1a Antics are welcomed btw.

BAKUDEKUMOMO hcs because I have brainrot

Hi...I read @amurderofcows’s post with izumomo hcs (which were sweet and adorable btw...y’all should go check them out) and my mind was immediately “yes but make it bakuizumomo” because I have severe bakudeku brainrot at all times. So here are my bakudekumomo hcs in semi-chronological order.

- Izuku and Momo will simp over Katsuki together while studying or having a snack.

- They’re all huge nerds, so they have study dates all the freaking time.

- I feel like their academic strengths and weaknesses balance each other out, so they know exactly who to go to if they’re struggling with a specific subject, and by studying together they all become unstoppable exam passing machines.

- They all have a massive rivalry over who is going to be top of the class. (This is mostly between bakudeku, but Momo is a tough contender and both boys are scared of her.)

- Katsuki is the most clingy. He’s usually in the middle when they cuddle together.

- Izuku “give him back” Midoriya is the possessive one. Whenever he sees someone flirting with his significant others, he’s there with an arm over their shoulder and shooting a fake “get the hell away from my gf/bf” smile at the culprit.

- Momo loves spoiling her bfs with expensive, yet thoughtful, gifts.

- The boys love taking Momo out on fun dates to arcades or parks and seeing her face light up with the new experience.

- In their third year, they’re the big three and EVERYONE knows they’re together.

- Momo is the most reasonable out of the three, but the boys have definitely rubbed off on her because she has no qualms about throwing down with anyone who insults her bfs.

- Katsuki and Izuku are the dumbass duo of the relationship, but they are REALLY GOOD at banding together to take down any asshole that harasses their gf.

- Izuku is the tallest of the three (183 cm / 6′). Katsuki complains about this a lot, but he loves how protected Izuku’s hugs make him feel.

- Katsuki and Momo are about the same height, but Momo is a little taller. (Katsuki is 173 cm / 5′8″ and Momo is 176 cm / 5′9″) This difference actually does annoy Katsuki a little bit, but not enough that he’s vocal about it...he still gives the warmest hugs out of the three and capping at 173 cm when he was 16 doesn’t mean he’s any less of a badass.

- Katsuki and Izuku are a registered hero duo. Momo is an independent hero and a symbol for female empowerment. The boys had offered to register as a trio (because fighting together is part of their love language), but they were very supportive when Momo wanted to build her own image and be an inspiration for little girls.

- Katsuki and Momo are more introverted, so when Izuku goes out with the Dekusquad, they stay home to drink tea and cuddle.

- On the days that the Bakusquad manages to drag Katsuki out of the house, Izuku and Momo tag-along. His significant others being there make him feel more calm and controlled around his boisterous friends.

- Katsuki and Momo love going shopping and dressing up together...especially when they get to see Izuku’s face go red when he inevitably gets flustered over the beauty of his significant others.

- When they’re older and start thinking about kids, Izuku wants the child to be Katsuki and Momo’s biologically because he doesn’t want their child to have to deal with being quirkless. Katsuki basically says, “Fuck no, if we’re having a kid they’re going to be a freckled nerdling like you.” As the boys are arguing, Momo, who had already said she was fine with carrying, is thinking about a blonde haired, green-eyed, freckled child with Izuku’s smile and Katsuki’s swagger...there had to be a quirk for that, right?

That’s it! I probably could have come up with more, but this is getting really long. It was kind of refreshing to do something that wasn’t bakudeku for a bit (though it was frustrating that I had to redo this because I pressed F12). This might get continued later, but it probably won’t. Maybe other ot3 hcs??? ...We’ll see

unpopular opinion: I don't have one honestly? I think the only *maybe* unpopular opinion is in regards to Touya and saying that I think he needs to return to his family and have a real relationship with Shouto, live with him under the same roof, etc.

favorite thing about them: His awareness and his ability to connect the dots on things. During the whole UA traitor plot, the solo-Deku arc when he figured that AM and Deku were out together and that it was going poorly, when AM had crossed out the fourth OFA user's name and quirk and figured it meant possible bad news for Deku.

least favorite thing about them: Hmm, he's not very likable for the entire first half of the series for me tbh. I mean I LIKE him because I knew where his character was going, but he was not a likable person. Idk, I'd say his explosive anger. He could chill out a bit (still kinda blaming Aoyama after finding out what happened....like, chill).

favorite line: don't have one, haven't paid that much attention to him to get one

brOTP: I've enjoyed watching him and Midoriya get over their hurdles. Their relationship was one of my main investments when I first got into the series. Also, this picture just screams sibling energy:

So I mean, BakuDeku brOTP. Just not romantically.

OTP: Listen....I have one. And it's the person I think may actually be Bakugo's endgame (couple wise, since.....everyone will likely get paired off, it's just how it is). But I will not say it until closer to the end of the series. I am so sorry but this will die with me unless it becomes canon LOL. It's a girl btw.

nOTP: Aside from the one I have in mind, I don't really like any Bakugo ships at all. So I guess all of them.

random headcanon: At the end, he and Tomura's personalities are gonna clash and they're gonna piss each other off a lot. Like....I can just see it so clearly, and Midoriya is in the middle like ಠ_ಠ

unpopular opinion: He is not an innocent angel who did no wrong, nor is he the devil who deserves no mercy. There doesn't seem to be any in-between for him in the fandom. Also, imo his redemption arc has been well-done. The way he was Put Through It™️ over and over again as a result of his god awful behavior and the way it slowly led to him chilling the fuck out, I think it all tied together nicely!
