Honestly shoutout to Steven Universe for the representation of malachite and abusive relationships because it holds up really well and is still like one of the only abuse narratives I’ve seen that portrays how like. Abusive relationships aren’t as simple as “evil abusive person was constantly Mean and Bad to nice victim” like. Lapis is a realistic victim. She refused to leave the relationship because she longed to have connection with someone and she liked feeling as though she could have control for once, even though she really didn’t. She wasn’t nice and innocent, she felt anger and resentment and liked taking it out on Jasper. And despite how horrible it was, she deeply misses Jasper because it was the longest and deepest relationship she’s ever had with anyone and she didn’t know how to function without it

But Lapis is still a victim and we’re meant to care for her and understand where she comes from. She chose to stay with Jasper to keep others safe from her harm, and because she thought she herself deserved the abuse as a way of making up for everything bad she’s done. Jasper reminds Lapis over and over that she is a monster and that’s why they should be together, because Jasper is the only one who understands her. And when Lapis finally rejects their relationship, she mostly states it through what she herself felt and has done, saying that she didn’t like the person she became in that relationship and she never wants to feel like that ever again. It’s messy and complicated, just like how actual abuse is

Maybe I should make two more that aren't shiny #just to have variation lol... an entire army of tiny aishas..... #The little house is so bad lol I hada headache at that point and kind of just wanted to get everything over with #(I bake the clay all at once so I had to get the smaller ones done to go with the main one) #and was like.. zero effort into making things line up or measuring at all. one window on one side is like twice as big as on the other lol #but I think from afar ifnot examined too closely it's still kind of cute. The birds were also just random like 'what can I shape out of thi #s small blob of clay I have leftover' etc. I did actually put irridescent eyeshaow on the pigeon but it just doesnt show up in photos ToT #The other bird is not anything in specific... some sort of random fantasy creature bird with slight purple on it's wings or something #The strawberry is exclusively just a quickly done accessory for the birds.. I wanted them to have a little meal to share #even though I dont know if birds eat strawberries #the last picture in the set is them all sitting on a shelf (the most well lit place I could find) but looks weird #since it has all of my avocado pit eyes in the background......... ominous backdrop for such peaceful little creachures.. #you kind of cant tell what they are from that angle though i guess lol

I got these shoes from someone recently but thought they were way too plain looking, so I set out on a quest to customize them with some sharpies and charms and miscellaneous ribbon I had in my craft drawers. Mostly sky themed (clouds, rainbows, rain, stars, etc.) because that's my favorite aesthetic, but I had to include some cat imagery as well, of course lol.

#also honestly had NO IDEA that real converse have that star logo on the INSIDE not the outer part??? why the hell would you want it on the #inner portion where nobody can see it?? my entire life I always would have sworn it was on the outer facing portion.. #I think these would be perfect IF they were just slightly taller (top part higher above ankles instead of just weird hard material digging #right into your ankle whenever you walk) and if they were actual good platforms. they're so short. It's good that 'chunky' shoes are gettin #more popular as they've always been my favorite Look ever since I had these shoes with roller skates that pop out of thebottom (not heelys. #but like. before those. it was two whole entire roller skate wheels like a normal pair of roller skates) and the bottoms were so tall and #clunky and it made my feet look giant (because it had.. entire wheels in the bottom pockets lol). so #I've alwatys been into the aesthetic but . still I find a lot of the 'brands jumping on trend' are too short of platforms #OR they're plafrorms with a raised back/heel/wedge which to me is not aesthetically good and also makes them exceptionally uncomfortable to #wear compared to just plain completely flat chunky platform bottoms. ANYWAY.. if these shoes had a 3 or 4 inch platform I think they'd be #cooler. however for what they are it's still fine! and I like them more now that they actually have some sort of anything to them and #aren't just plain white. The weird thing is that the material it's made out of (maybe some sort of leather or something) absorbs sharpie? #the color changes over time. You draw a mark and then leave it for a few days and it either fades into being barely there or has changed #colors. so I had to go back in and redo parts. ALSO the shoe chains are so funny because I did NOT have the right tools for them #I don't have the stuff to make bracelets or open and close the little rings. they're held onto the shoe with just safety pins and the actua #little rung things that hold the charms on half of them are like broken or the metal is just jam smushed together bent and warped hhbjhjhb #I actually like the back a lot where there's the irridecent star thing hot glued on there. it's cool and shiny. and the clouds #are sparkly on the main parts of the shoe though I'm not sure how well it shows up in pictures #ANYWAY... shoegs..... If I were rich this is one of the things I would definitely custom order from craftsman #why would I spend like thousands of dollars on plain ass shoes that are just expensive because they're a Luxury Brand when I could literall #like pay people to create me custom shoes to my exact specifications?? I could have like 5 inch flat platform boots with fur andclouds #and cat shaped holes in the bottom with LEDs in them with pom pom and charms and etc. etc. etc. Like as gaudy and excessively over #decorated as I want lol.. No but like it actually is a big Issue that they Shiny Locked all the returning legendaries in the Indigo Disc DLC

Nintendo/Gamefreak/The Pokémon Company know there’s an entire dedicated subset of fans who’s goal is to collect Shiny Pokémon. Shiny Hunting is already a process that truthfully is so tedious and lengthy that not everyone can do it. You have to have a lot of patience and be able to have a lot of time available (it can be done alongside other things but you do have to pay some attention to the game still) and they still go out of their way to make this nearly impossible.

Shiny Locking didn’t even exist until gen5 and for a while they only locked the current new Pokémon while previous ones were still huntable. It’s even more ridiculous when most of these Pokémon are available as Shiny in Go (and if it’s some weird way to try to people to play Go, well not everyone can do that for multiple reasons, but especially when Niantic ignores making the game more balanced for all player types)

Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, and Mew have all been around for 27 nearly 28 years. There is no reason to Lock them anymore (especially considering Mew can only be legitimately hunted by buying a Japanese Copy of Emerald or paying for the All in One #151 research in Go)

Did you know Manaphy, a Pokémon released in Diamond and Pearl has been around since 2006?? Do you know how many times it’s been available as shiny??? Never. Seventeen Years and the only way you can legitimately obtain a Shiny Manaphy is by getting a copy of Pokémon Ranger and moving the Egg around until the codes will be right.

There’s no reason to keep locking Legendaries, especially the regular legendaries. If this is about them wanting to keep them for giveaways that’s stupid. Wait and hope the one you want is available as a gift and if it’s not sit there and wait some more.

At the very least they can leave the regular legendaries unlocked and save the Event/Mythical Pokémon for giveaways, but even if they do that they have to actually give away the Pokémon. God knows when Hoopa, Volcanion, Marshadow, Zeraora, Zarude etc etc are going to be given away again

Thought about how if you wear a headlamp outside at night, all the sparkles in the grass are tiny reflective spider eyes (personal experience with camping) and with his mirror lenses being reflective, it sparked a mental image of scary spider man in the dark with his 'eyes' being the most visible thing by torchlight (or spell light). If you want, maybe something with pretty spiderwebs in the background because Spiderwebs! Are! Cool!
