What is the character's love language?

((As you didn't specify a character, I'll just do Victor, Alice, and Smiler as the main three:

Alice: Her main love languages are Quality Time and Acts of Service -- she shows she loves people by spending time with them and doing things for them (which, given she's generally more involved with people inside her head than outside it, is a big deal). If she loves you, she wants to be around you and helping you out!

Victor: His main love languages are Acts of Service and Gifts -- he shows he loves people by doing things for them and getting them presents (I suspect the latter comes from growing up with a mother who was often placated with presents from his father when she was in a mood). If he loves you, he wants to help you in any way that he can and give you things that he thinks will make you happy.

Smiler: Their main love languages are Words and Physical Touch -- they show they love people by telling them and touching them (I imagine they're a big hugger). If they love you, they want to say the words as much as possible and hold you nice and close!

Now, while Victor and Alice have a love language in common, Smiler doesn't share one with either of them -- fortunately, I think being told how much they're loved suits Victor and Alice fine, and honestly I think Physical Touch does count a bit as a love language for Alice -- in that, if she DOES love you and trust you, you get touch privileges. It's a big thing for both Victor AND Smiler the first time they're allowed to hug her. And I actually do headcanon Victor as a bit of a cuddler, so yeah -- it's all good between the OT3. :) ))

Ok, genuine question:

I suspect one member of the groups i listen to is the same type as me. Is there a shortcut or is it easier to know if someone has the same type as you? Like as if you had a radar to people of your type?

But does he look like you when it comes to behavior or functions and stack? Bc you have to remember you can't type based on how someone acts - someone's functions are spotted when you ask the why and the how of their behavior.

If you type based on behavior you're not only mistyping the person but stereotyping the type in question. In you case ISFJ: closed-minded, very trustful, very caring, submissive, etc. These are NOT things that usually makes ISFJs be ISFJs, bc everyone of any type can be like that (even ENTPs, which are the opposite type.)

What makes ISFJs be ISFJs are using Si-Fe-Ti-Ne in their function stack. That's what you have to look for.

When you say he's "so much like you", is it because everything he does scream Si-Fe-Ti-Ne to you???

Does he look for comfort and security, staying is his comfort zone, having a large data of facts that are proven to be the best data, staying away from anything new and unreliable, chaotic and unreal because it's important for him to feel secure with what he knows it's more trustworthy (dominant Si - inferior Ne)? Or does he do that for other reasons? Does he do that bc of Ni reasons? Any other function reasons? See the motivations behind his behaviors.

Also check if his alleged Si is dom or aux. You have to see if his Fe is there as a tool and as a scale to the Si, not the opposite. See if he seeks out for the community (in this case the group he's a member of) to raise the sense of security and knowingness (Fe supporting Si = ISFJ). If he tends to repeat patterns proven to be the most efficient to make people get to social harmony, seeking the security and routine and physical things that bring "cozy" feelings bc he judges as more important to get that sense of "my group is feeling well" (Si supporting Fe = ESFJ), it's likely that you're mistyping him.

In case of an unhealthy type check if he seems to be in a Si-Ti loop as well. He'll completely ignore his Fe in this state. Same for grips. Look out for Ne grips as well.

Heartstopper is so sweet, I just finished binging the show in one sitting, and honestly I'm just so happy for the kids and teens of today for having shows like Heartstopper or Julie and the Phantoms or Teenage Bounty Hunters or Love, Victor, just to name a few from recent years, that all feature several queer characters, at different points in their coming out journey and self-discovery, with different obstacles, but with a lot of heart and care put into the characters and their stories. We’ve reached Winter Saturday in the Chill Valicer Save, aka New Year’s Eve, aka the last update I played before the Infants Patch and Growing Together! And I’ve managed to keep it to just 65 pictures this time around. :p Look, I don’t know what to tell you about the updates lately, I just have a LOT of stuff I want to take pictures of with these three.

Anyway -- we start with simultaneous pooping. XD Look, I’m sorry, I just thought it was funny that Alice and Kelly ended up using their respective toilets at the same time. A little more seriously, the big event of the early morning hours for these three was Victor handling spirits in the house by giving them gifts! While Alice took care of business and then settled in for a few extra hours sleep and Smiler worked on modding The R.E.F.U.G.E. upstairs, Victor ventured downstairs to offer one of his dipped candles to the little weird glasses ghost who had appeared by the stairs. The ghost accepted this with a question about whether this made them boyfriends and if they should kiss (dude), but then disappeared -- leaving behind ANOTHER bizarre idol! Wow, so now the gang has THREE! I had Victor just put this one in his inventory -- yeah, perhaps I could just start selling them to oddity collectors, but it feels nice to have one on-hand in case of emergencies, you know?

After that, he and Shadow had some breakfast together in the newly-remodeled kitchen -- but when the specter hanging out in THERE proved to be a little too distracting (dang specter sprinkles everywhere), I decided Victor needed to banish them with a present as well. But as he was out of candles, he had to make something from scratch -- so why not try making some lovely apple jam? Despite nearly forgetting what he was doing halfway through to try and talk to the spirit (please don’t, we do not need ANY more fires), he did successfully finish a good batch -- and the specter appreciated the jar it was giving, leaving behind a lovely glass of Soul Sip for Victor to try later! Victor is definitely starting to get the hang of this “medium” thing, I think. :p

While all that was going on, Alice and Smiler eventually came downstairs themselves -- Alice to give Kelly a little affection before moving onto painting, while Smiler decorated the place for New Year’s! Nothing too complicated, just a nice bit of stars bunting for the roof and lights for the fences. :) Though, honestly, if I was going to do this again, I’d do it the other way around -- feels like it makes more sense. Ah well, next New Year’s!
