(🔴) ... DIVE STUDIOS X ENHYPEN [ JAY JAKE AND SUA ] !
💬nia notes: since this was incredibly long , i only added the parts where sua would speak or someone would speak to or about her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"boys and girls welcome to the daebak show , today i'm 3 incredibly talented and incredibly good looking people , they're from a group that you've probably heard of , that you're probably a fan of , and im a fan of them as well , ladies and gentlemen please give a big warm welcome to jay and jake of enhypen."
the trio clapped doing there group intro. "well guys welcome to the show , im glad to finally meet you guys , in person." eric said. "the last time we met was over the phone , on like a zoom call."
"sua this isn't my first time meeting you." she smiled. "but this is my first time with you on the show." she nodded , laughing. "yeah , we saw each other in busan , at the restaurant , with my sister." she said.
"so jay is from the states , and jake is from australia , but sua you're from new zealand , where you born there or did you move as well?" eric questioned. "i was born in new zealand , and then i moved to korea when i auditioned for enhypen." she said. "and does your family live here or are they still in new zealand?" "my mom's mom still lives here , and so does my sister , but the rest of family is in new new zealand."
"sua , what was the biggest surprise for you on tour?" eric asked. "uh , i think seeing all the fans from different countries, it was crazy." she said. "it's like , thousands of people are coming to see us preform , like people actually paid a lot of money to see us sing and dance , it was wild."
"growing up , did you guys always wanted to be musicians , like what inspired really inspired you to become who you are today?"
"sua weren't you gonna be a neurosurgeon?" jay asked , eric turned to you confused. "excuse me." she laughed. "how-how did you get here , how do you transition from that to this , were you like in college for it?"
"actually no , when i was a child i was studying really hard and that was the plan , but it went left and i started doing opera." that just made him even more confused. "her timeline is just the most bizarre thing." jake said. "it's not that crazy." she said. "so how'd you get to this point , im so intrested."
"my sister actually auditioned for i-land , and she wanted me to do it , and i did , thinking like there are thousands of people there's no way im gonna make it." she said. "but you did?" she nodded happily. "and now im here." she chuckled.
"are your parents supportive of what you do and encouraging of you being kpop stars?"
"my mom is , my dad he's more so on the realistic side." she said. "what do you mean , if you don't mind explaining." "well , as you said to jake , this industry is really cut throat , and he knew coming into this , i had no idea what i was getting myself into , and it was a chance that i might not make it , and still now everything change like that." she started. "and he's just like he's not belittling of it , but i think he'd rather i'd be studying to be a doctor." she explained. "ah , okay."
"do you guys remember your first audition song?" she thought about it. "i think it was here by alessia cara , it was the easiest song i could mesmerize quickly."
"have you had a moment , where it was like , uh , i think i want to give up? have you had those moments yet?" "i don't think it's like i can't do this anymore." she said. "but i often use to question myself , like is this the right decision? am i doing the right thing , i think that's how it is for me."
"what were you first impressions of each other?" "well everyone saw sua the first day we started filming the show." jake said. "oh really?" eric said. "yeah , and it wasn't shocking or anything because we knew it would be a few girls there , but it's just we've never seen her before even when training." jake said. "sua why is that?"
"that's because i avoided everyone as much as can." they all laughed. "like not even in a bad way , but in a , im gonna embarrass myself in front of these people , and i refuse to let that happen way." she said. "how'd you manage to do that?" she shrugged. "i guess no one was really looking for me , i was only there for four months , before the show started." she explained.
"well when you first talked to them , what was your impression?" she looked at jake. "can we talk about this?" he asked. "i mean i guess , we have before i think." she said. "what , what is it?" eric was intrested. "well me and jake didn't have a good impression of each other." she said. "really?" he said. "why not , you guys seem pretty close?"
"we are now." jake said. "yeah , now of course we are , but when we first met , it wasn't that good." she spoke. "why?"
"she's starting to realize it , when she's nervous or like in a situation that she isn't familiar with , she can sometimes come off as cold and i guess , i was a bit immature and i took it as like she doesn't want to be friends , so it's immature now that i think about it but it's way different now." jake explained. "yeah , i see now looking back , i didn't have this like look of don't bother me , but trust me i didn't really mind and i just don't think he saw that." eric nodded. "what a mature way of thinking?"
"and what did you two think of each other?" he pointed to sua and jay. "when i first talked to jay , i thought he was so cool." she admitted. "the way he carried himself , i just though wah , so cool." she said. "what about you jay?" he looked at her. "she was definitely quiet when i saw her , so i thought ah she must be nervous , but when i talked to her , i quickly realized she talks just as much as i do." she rolled her eyes. "i could never out talk you."
"okay , i heard you guys have a bunch of rules for your dorm , 7 rules for the enhypen dorm." he showed them the picture from en-house content. "ah those." she chuckled.
"are these all still in effect." "yeah they still are."
"sua still breaks the shower rule." she rolled her eyes. "it must be true , you rolled your eyes." she laughed. "not shower , i try and get up before everyone does , it's just that hair and make up does take forever." she said. "her skin care takes like 10 minutes alone." she nodded. "it really does , and my hair is thick so it takes a while to dry , make-up i do in my room so it's really just my hair."
"you all seem close , but if you had to chose one member to travel with , who would go with?" eric questioned. "sunoo." she said. "sunoo is just so fun to be around , he would make the best out of it." she explained. "i really want to go on vacation with him one day."
"what about shopping? would you also choose ni-ki." she shook her head yeah. "he also gives good advice when it comes to things like that , like if it's something that he knows won't be flattering he's like noona , put that back please im trying to help you , saves so much time because besides sunghoon these guys would lie to me just to get out of the store."
"what are you guys afraid of?" "spiders." she said. "oh im terrified of spiders , i will cry." "there was a spider in her and she slept in the living room for 2 days." jake brought up the embarrassing spider story. "2 days , why didn't anyone get it?"
"we tried , we couldn't find it , heeseung finally found it and got rid of it , but she wouldn't even go in to get clothes without someone." she blushed. "not my best moment."
they were talking about the I-land ghost. "where you scared sua , of the ghost." she shook her head. "a little , i think i was more so scared of the stories the other members would tell , because i haven't had any experiences with it and i was scared it would one say pop up on me."
"uh sua you actually have solo music , that you write and produce yourself." she nodded. "i do , i have three." she said. "that is so cool , when did you start producing?"
"i think in 2020 , i wanted to get into it because i thought it was cool , so i asked for help and then i released raise your glass as like a tester and people loved it , so then i went to release idoll and then recently it was love you twice." she explained. "that's so cool." she nodded. "i even got to preform idoll at our concert and jay taught me the chords on the guitar so i got to play." she said.
they played a quick game of rapid questions before they moved on to the album exchange.
"you three are the first to ever get this album , because it's not even out yet." he handed them the album. "thank you so much." she bowed , taking the album.
after going through the albums , unfortunately it was time to go. "is there anything else you want to say?"
"sua?" "uh , thank you for saving us , it was so fun , and engenes i can't wait to see you guys on tour , love you."

favorite color(s): Red, purple, but I like all colors
favorite flavor(s): I have a huge sweet tooth, so I'd say chocolate and also fruity flavors like bananas and strawberries.
favorite music: Honestly, I think I can say that I listen mostly everything. I've come to the conclusion that I don't really care about the genre, if I like a song, I like it and that's about it. And that's why my playlist is a mess, especially when I put it on shuffle lmao
favorite movie(s): It's so hard to pick, there are so many good ones! But I recently watched Tokyo Godfathers, that one automatically jumped in my top favourites. I also really liked Grave of Fireflies (even though it's quite a heavy movie), Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, The Handmaiden (let's go lesbians, let's go), Perfect Blue, Everything Everywhere All At Once, The Jigsaw franchise (and honestly, I think the 10th movie might be my favourite), The Fear Street Trilogy, Coraline, What We Do In The Shadows, Train To Busan
Honorable mentions: I think Gremlins is starting to grow on me, especially the second movie because I love that the production team didn't take it all too seriously, I do like when some movies are self-aware how silly they actually are. Also shoutout to The Sadness. Am I ever going to watch that movie ever again? Probably not, it was a very disturbing movie. But this is not your usual zombie movie, if I can even call it a zombie movie, which surprised me? Like, it definitely does have those elements of the apocalyptic zombie genre but turned it completely over its head by making the infected actually aware of the things they're doing but not being able to stop it. Again, it is a disturbing movie, it's not for everybody. I personally don't see myself watching it twice. Plus, finding out that the director has said something like that he wanted to focus more on the "fun and the gore" other than anything else in a Q&A did sound quite sussy to me given the heavy topics and the ways the movie could be interpreted. Idk, as philology and literature major it just keeps getting confirmed to me that most, if not all works of art, no matter in what form, have something to say and they deeply reflect the time in which they were created, and there's always the subjectivity of the viewer who interprets it in their own way (like hell, even the superheroes in movies these days most likely take a whole lot of inspiration from Greek mythology, if you really think about it). Some people have mentioned that the director might have answered the way that he did as to not stir up controversy since it was at a festival, but I can't say for sure, I wasn't there to see the interview myself and this is already getting really long so I will stop now, you can make your own conclusions.
favorite series: Courage the cowardly dog, The Scooby-Doo franchise, Are You Afraid Of The Dark (I'm talking about the 90's series, I haven't watched the 2019 revival). Do I remember anything from them? Kind of, it's been a very long time since I've watched them. I kind of want to rewatch them because of it. But they sparked my interest in all things spooky when I was a kid so I feel like they deserve a place here. Some of my other favourites include: The Untamed, Serial Experiments Lain, Steins;Gate, Semantic Error, Another, My Roommate is a Detective, Wellington Paranormal, What We Do In The Shadows, Hellbound and Sweet Home (I do recommend reading the webtoons of those two, though), Death Parade, The Silent Sea, Color Rush, Squid Game, My Beautiful Man, Good Omens, Our Flag Means Death, Alice on Borderland, My Name, Yellowjackets, Theatre of Darkness: Yamishibai
last song: Ruler Of My Heart by BL8M & Rubyeye & Unknown (Till The End) by AKUGETSU (Alien Stage OSTs) (tw for blood and a bit of gory imagery in the MVs for anyone who wants to check them out). Also can I also just talk about the 1st Anniversary Remixes of those two songs too!!! (here and here, audio only). Just *cheff's kiss*, I love those songs so much, I want to eat them. The story all these animations is quite interesting, the animations themselves are very well done too. How can I describe it. The story kind of takes that deadly game trope (like, let's say in the Hunger Games and Alice in Borderland), but make it about people being forced to be in a singing competition against each other to survive and they are being judged by aliens. From what I know, I could be wrong, the main way of storytelling is through the MVs on the VIVINOS YT channel so it does require a bit to analyze (there is a bit of a additional info on the official website and on the wiki, I'm sure), so if any of that sound interest you, I would recommend checking it out
last series: Choco Milk Shake
last movie: The Cat Returns
currently reading: So Long, And Thank for All The Fish from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books. I'm so happy of how much progress I've done on reading those books compiled in one huge book, I'm halfway through the series now. And honestly I want to read it for as long as I can because I really enjoy it, it's so fun, I love the absurd situation the main characters fall into while the big question of the meaning of life, the Universe and everything looms over them. This would definitely go in one of my top books I've read I'm sure.
And I also have to mention the webtoons that I'm reading because I love them very much too: Hand Jumper, The Blind Prince, Lore Olympus, Zombie X Slasher (I don't know in what kind of direction this one would go, but so far so good!), Everything is Fine, Flawed Almighty, Homesick (I love love LOVE this one! The art style and everything is great), Never Ending Darling (I know that it's gonna end in like 2 days officially once the last episode is available to read for free, but damn, what a ride this was. The concept of this webtoon is terrifying), Omniscient Reader, My S-Class Hunters, ZOMGAN (also quite an interesting and honestly refreshing way of making a story about zombies), Nocturne and The Guy Upstairs
And special highlight to: There Are No Demons. This webtoon? An absolute nightmare fuel. I find it very interesting that the artist Nemo Nullus makes 3D models first and then draws over them. I wasn't so sure how to feel like it when I first saw it, this was the first time I've seen anything like it on webtoon, but I quickly grew to like this art style, the kind of weird realism and uncanny valley really add to the stories. And the stories themselves are very scary because these are things that could actually happen, and have most likely happened in real life too, especially that first story with the stalker. This webtoon has made me feel things no other horror/thriller webtoon has made me feel, I feel like I want to crawl out of my own body when I'm reading it, really.
currently watching: Nothing in particular, just random YT videos. I do have some shows to catch up on that I already mentioned here.
currently working on: Mostly focusing on studying a bit more for my exam on monday. But once I'm done I'll be back to doing more stuff here, hopefully ❤️

Well hello folks! It's that time of the year again! And here's my 2023 movie list, keep on mind I actually made the effort to watch movies I have never seen before, even though they're old... so even if you already watched them because they're classics, I didn't until now.
I actually need to get some books to read but for now binged all these days to watch 31 movies & series in a couple of days.
1. Mask Girl (K-Drama, series)✅⭐⭐⭐⭐
Okay this series was amazing. I've been a fan of Orange Caramel even though they're now disbanded, so seeing Nana back on the scene was so cool. But that's not all, honestly:
* Insane plot, made me gasp a couple of times and I've been into K-Drama for a while now so...
* I was actually rooting for Kim Mo-mi the whole time, but also I couldn't find myself to hate the other characters because the actors are so good<3
* Did I mention Nana is there?
* It has so many layers and many points of view which makes it so interesting to watch
I'm not saying anything else because I highly recommend this one.
2. The Platform (movie) ✅⭐⭐
A bit boring at times but quite interesting too. I watched it because someone recommended it to me. I was so disappointed with the ending but at the same time I understood why it finished the way it did. I'm not going to watch it again though. Definitely hated it.
3. Scream (movie, 2023 ver.) ✅⭐⭐⭐⭐
Since I already watched the original one. This one was awesome. I loved the original cast coming back, and also, Jenna Ortega 😍😚
4. Suspiria (remake)✅⭐⭐⭐
I got bored lol it is aesthetic but not a lot. I prefer the school on the original movie. Like, it's so pretty...
Actually I got, really bored at some parts. I wanted the whole ballet concept to be more... macabre and beautiful. They could have put anything else and the idea would have been the same.
I enjoyed the dance. But it's not classical ballet. I'm giving it an extra star because of the aesthetics. It's not creepy or scary. Just another film. Some parts are awesome but mostly... bland.
5. The Deep House ✅⭐⭐
I think, I was disappointed. It's one of those old school movies, you either love it or hate it. I ended up disliking it a lot because it felt kind of lazy. There was no message behind, there was no reason for me to actually care about them as characters, and BTW, the dude there, he was sooooo toxic. I ended up hating him the whole movie except for his last moments. I really don't recommend this one lol but here you have me, trying to find something different.
Well, sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't.
6. Doctor Sleep ✅⭐⭐⭐⭐
I need to be honest, he's still one of my first celebrity crushes. So I might be a bit biased. But I loved the movie. Before you say anything to me, I have watched The Shinning already.
7. Gothika ✅⭐⭐
I might as well be honest. I saw this movie when I was a kiddo. But I had a lot of nightmares about it. Still, now I got to watch it fully. And I realized that it's not as intense as I thought it was. I mean, yes. It has some scenes. But I'm a Hannibal Lecter and Criminal Minds fan now lol it's kind of difficult to get past that.
8. Dreamcatcher ✅⭐⭐⭐
It started pretty average and I was expecting nothing from it. But it got better. And really scary. I hated the bathroom scene but also loved the whole movie.
9. Only Mine ✅⭐⭐⭐
Scary but because it's based on a real story. The movie is pretty decent.
10. Train to Busan ✅⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Was so cool 💕 😢 more than scary it was inspiring me a lot. IDK how to explain it. But I'll be watching it again because *feelings*
I think it's becoming one of my favorite horror movies.
Tumblr media
11. Annihilation ✅⭐⭐
Mmmmm I fell asleep. Had to watch it again. And it was not that interesting. I loved the colors though. If I have to say anything about it lol 💤😴
12. Psycho (1960) ✅⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tumblr media
I can't believe it took me so long to watch this one!!! I love this movie I swear. It's such a good one. It's not as scary as I thought it would be but I think that's a "me" problem lol since it seems like I'm so used to scary things nothing really scares me anymore.
However, the suspense was so in point and I can't even believe that I was holding my breath. Like, how? This movie is so old no? It should be boring and all that uh? Well it doesn't matter. Hitchcock definitely knew his way around. It caught my interest and hold me captive till the end of the movie. I didn't even start scrolling my phone or got bored!
Sure there are a couple of plots that can be "fixed" because we now have better phones and technology, but the whole movie it's timeless. It definitely holds. I loved it. A lot. That can't be said of several other movies and tv shows.
13. Constantine ✅⭐⭐⭐
Not really scary. But really cool. I was having a crush over Tilda Swinton the whole time lol sadly she doesn't get to have a lot of screentime but I repeated her scenes for a while before going to the next movie.
14. Beowulf ✅⭐⭐
By now I'm getting tired AF of bloodbaths. Like it's not even scary. It's disgusting and tiresome. I want to see something else. I really did not enjoy the movie. I'm starting to realize that binging on a certain genre can desensitize a person and it certainly feels like I'm way over it. I remember the movie but I can't remember anything that is worth of comment. Except, maybe... that Beowulf is an asshole, so is the king, and apparently the next king will do the same thing and everyone there deserved what happened to them except ofc the people in town and kids. I don't think I liked the story or movie at all. 💀
15. Disturbing Behavior ✅⭐⭐⭐⭐
Okay so James Marsden and Katie Holmes are so cute together. And they're literally kids here. It was a bit awkward lol but I enjoyed the movie. It's kind of interesting and definitely talks about how society pressures you on behaving in a certain way. All that while making a scary movie. Which is why I might've ended up liking it a bit more than the others. Interesting how parents were so on board with this behavior too. Anyway, since I'm on a marathon I don't really have a lot of time to analyze it as much as I usually do. I probably won't be watching it again, but it's a good movie to analyze and enjoy for a while. For real.
16. The Exorcist (original) ✅⭐⭐⭐
Now we're getting serious lol or not...
Honest reaction
Before the movie>> I'm so scared of it 😭😿😱
During and after the movie>>> wow... It's so... meh 😑
I was a bit distracted during the whole movie. And it's not that scary. Just sad, long, boring and disappointing. Nothing else to comment.
My brother said that I needed to appreciate it a bit more since it's an old movie, but honestly... I prefer Psycho to the Exorcist. Like, I get it. Old movie. Different type of special effects and all that. But still, the whole thing, even the characters feels kinda flat? Nvm the spoilers. I received a similar amount of spoilers from both movies and I still enjoyed Psycho more. I did laughed a lot. But it's not supposed to be a comedy movie 😭🤣
17. 12 Monkeys ✅⭐⭐⭐
TT~TT okay? I really cried for a while. And I had to take some days off because of this one. I started watching other series, kdramas and stuff that made me laugh and forget about this one.
18. Ghost Ship ✅⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tumblr media
I remember seeing this one everywhere when I was a kid and my parents trying to make sure I didn't watch it. One of the reasons I finally got my hands on it and watch it lol
I really enjoyed it. I was so sad about the girl on the ship. And I usually do not like slashers but somehow I ended up loving this one. Definitely is going to be one of my favorite movies from now on.
19. The exorcism of Emily Rose ✅ ⭐⭐
Boring at the beginning but interesting after 30 minutes into the movie. Which in a way, it's not good lol but let it be. I was thinking to call the Winchesters all the time.
Mmmm I think these two are one of the reasons I stopped disliking horror movies.
Tumblr media
The other one would be Fi from So Weird
Tumblr media
Which TBH is the original reason I stopped disliking ghosts and monsters. I joined Fi team first before Supernatural. Supernatural was me being edgy and sarcastic all the way, especially on my worse days. But Fiona, she's the one I truly aspired to be. Now I think I'm a mix of both and it's okay. I still prefer Fi over the Winchesters because she gives everyone a chance to be. I mean, I love the brothers a lot... okay not the point of this lol sorry... Ummmm I think you can see I got distracted while watching the movie. 💀🤣
Interesting though, a mix of lawyer-ish fight with "medical terms" and all that in a demonic possession case. Different P.O.V. sure. It definitely makes more sense than the Exorcist where the story ends without anyone (no cops, no lawyers, no other authorities) involved despite several people dying.
"Touched by the hand of God" they said. And believe me when I said "ew" during that part 😭🤣 I wasn't even trying to be funny. Seriously though... there's only one thing I despise more than movie slashers. Religion, especially inside movies. And inside books too. I was so disappointed by Susan's problem when I found out what it was about. I also spent almost my entire childhood inside several Catholic and Christian schools. Most of the time being bullied by everyone there. Please lol I can't stand them (I do realize that not everyone is like that but it left a huge trauma on me so I can't stand those things.) The fun part is, I don't have anything against religions. Just against hypocrisy and lack of comprehension. Still, it's okay for a movie. One or two hours of it won't be bothering me so much. Didn't scare me. But made me uncomfortable. I wish I could hear more about Dr. Adani (?) P.O.V. though.... I believe I will have to watch Heroes (series) for a similar take on that.
20. The Barcelona Vamp ✅⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was... triggering. And not about vampires. But about CP and apparently a real case. Obviously Hollywood has its own take on this so I can't say anything about it until I do my research on the real deal. But the whole movie was interesting and also very, very triggering. Really scary. Some scenes were too uncomfortable to watch so I had to pause it several times. Why? These things are so so close to us and people, sometimes people we know, keep hiding these things from us. Maybe the Barcelona Vamp was innocent. Maybe it wasn't. The only thing that it is true is that nothing like this happens without another one getting involved too. Another one keeping silence. Someone refusing to act. That's how bad it is. Not the movie ofc.
I love the use of color and the use of black and white too. It's definitely a good film. The dialogues... they were too realistic. Sadly. I have known people that say things like that. That keep blaming it onto the victims no matter if they're 40 or 6 years old. Don't watch this movie if child abuse triggers you. While it is not graphic it definitely makes you uncomfortable. And it should. Another thing to say about this movie: the original language is in Spanish. And when I saw it on HBO the English subtitles were lacking. So were the subtitles in Spanish. So either you learn/practice your Spanish or you'll need to find CC and the mp4 file too. To make sure you get it otherwise you'll be missing half of the story.
21. Dracula (1979)✅ ⭐⭐⭐
Okay the whole time I was so into the aesthetics. But sometimes I found it funny. Mmmm but I decided to give it a go because it was an old movie. Honestly it wasn't that bad. A bit cringe but kinda okay. The aesthetics were really pleasing tho.
22. Army of the Dead ✅⭐⭐
I started watching it because... it looked fun. Zombieland type of fun.
The OST is awesome. I'm not taking this movie seriously. I don't know why... oh yeah okay... now I kind of understand why.
Okay it has a lot of tits and a lot of blood in the very beginning. If this is how's gonna be... or not. Oh... it gets better after the first minutes 😜 A bit of character development...
I like this idea of zombies being strong and somewhat more fast. Like Korean zombies.
I fell asleep. Again... *sighs* this is ridiculous. I'll have to rewatch just... I'm not sure...
I'll be back. Let me do a quick rewatch.
Zombie tiger Valentine was awesome. Smart zombies? Cool!!
I think I'm bored...
I mean, it's a cool movie. But I prefer Zombieland.
Tumblr media
They're supposed to be great at shooting, so why do they spend so many bullets on killing one zombie if they already know to aim for the head?
I'm rooting for the king. He actually seems decent.
Ohh no they killed his baby 😭
They should pay for it.
Okay... okay, wait a second lol I'm getting an idea...
Why there are no movies with zombies as main characters where the humans are the bad ones?
I mean, we have all what it takes: Usually someone, a doctor, trying to play God, and making a human turn into zombie. The whole zombie apocalypse goes on because they kill the family of subject Zero and all that.
This movie deserves another star just cause the OST is really awesome. Seriously. I'm not going to give it one more though lol the whole thing was quite disappointing.
23. The Fall of the Usher House (Netflix series) ✅⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Okay I saw this whole series in what? Two days? The adaptation was incredibly well done. I'm aware that the story on the book is different but I quite enjoyed the show. Although it's quite graphic. So there's my trigger warning ⚠️ if anything lol honest question, do we need trigger warnings for horror movies?
Carla Gugino's still one of my unexplained crushes, she is still as beautiful as the day I saw her for the first time, does she have a fountain of eternal youth hidden somewhere? Anyway, it surprised me how good she's within the horror genre. To be honest I haven't followed her in years but now she captured my attention so I definitely will be paying attention from now on.💕
I actually screamed during Tammy's death. Her acting is truly on point. It made me feel everything that the rest of the Ushers couldn't. Considering how tired and how much I've disassociated these weeks to be able to watch horror movies every day, I think you can say she's the best of the best.
Ironically, she wasn't even my favorite character but Aunt Madeleine and Camille who I felt they were so alike. And in a way I kept admiring them. And also Lenore but for different reasons. Still I felt captivated by the whole series. Aunt Madeleine monologue is wow! But Tammy's death and the way it was presented to us, I truly felt like I was inside with her. Grieving and feeling all that. I couldn't stop watching despite how much I wanted to.
24. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein✅⭐⭐⭐
It made me jump several times 😭🤣 but I can't quite put my finger on why... maybe because it was raining while I was watching the movie. Maybe because the timing was so on point every time the lightening strikes inside the movie, the same thing happened here...
Anyway this is my first time watching Frankestein and the aesthetics are so good 😍💖 also.. Helena Bonham Carter is there!? And considering how good Kenneth Branagh was playing Gilderoy Lockhart I really found hilarious and on point sawing him play Victor Frankenstein too.
25. #Alive✅⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐
What a movie! I wonder if this is tied to Train to Busan and All of us are Dead. I mean, technically it's not. But the fandom can always take upon it and make it a thing. It has happened before lol right?? Please someone needs to make it a thing 😭 even if it's just a fanfic or something. I'll be so happy.
It keeps reminding me of coronavirus 😭
The guy is a good person but... why is he eating such a big ramen? He should be breaking it into small portions lol he really does not know anything about survival. Poor thing 😕 I shouldn't be laughing so much about it but... he's really stupid at times. If he survives it'll be a miracle lol
Oh... she's cute 🥺 kind and smart. She's going to die lol
They are so lucky to have each other. 🥺😭
Oof!
Okay... let's start counting how many times he actually screwed it off lol
Every time I think he's about to screw it off, he saves her lol and I like their dynamic so much 🥺😭 like, not really shipping them. Just, rooting for them and loving their friendship. That's a friendship right?
OMG she's so cool...
No way... see? This is why I enjoy Korean movies so much... their plot twists are insane...
🥺😭💕
26. Freaky✅⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tumblr media
O.M.G. it's definitely one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Scary but original. And funny. I loved it. Great characters. Awesome development. Good acting. Made me laugh a lot and I was rooting for the heroine. But also... aw 🥺🤧 that ending... And the beginning! 😱💕
27. A nightmare on Elm Street ✅⭐⭐⭐
It's a great movie. Seriously. But I had to pause it several times because I felt sleepy... really sleepy. Which is so weird because I usually don't feel like that while watching a horror movie.
Anyway I found odd watching Johnny Depp as a kid 🤣 but I was rooting for Nancy's character all the way.
28. The Wizard of Oz ✅ ⭐⭐
Aw... cute singing...
Toto what!? 😱 Well...
I'm not sure I liked the movie lol it felt like.... why are they singing so merrily about the death of the witch!? I feel like they're so mean 😭💀
.... Did Glinda just decided to make Dorothy part of her beef against Elephie? (Ignoring the musical plot ofc) they're so mean lololol
Pretty sure lions and tigers are not part of the forest 😭🤣 okay maybe there are tigers on the rainforests. But pretty sure you won't find one... in middle of the forest. Nvm. I realize it's supposed to be a movie... sorry about that lol
Ohhh that last part when they are all together, facing their worse fears together. It's so cute.
I love the hourglass. It's red!! 😍 so pretty.... the movie is cringy lol but the songs are catchy. The red shoes are marvelous too 😍
And that's it. I don't like this movie lol but the songs are awesome.
29. Cirque du Freak ✅⭐⭐
Ken Watanabe!? Josh Hutcherson, John C. Reilly, Salma Hayek and William Dafoe!? How come I didn't watch this first!? 😭😱 looks so cool...
The intro is so long... but kind of interesting lol
I was eating... lucky me, I don't really get nauseous or sick of watching gross things. I used to watch Dr House or Hannibal when I was a kid while I was eating. That's how strong my stomach is lol
... Is it just me or Evra looks a bit like Ross Lynch here? I love Ross Lynch.... maybe that's why lol
Being honest it was below average. But I also liked it. So... the stars do not say how much, because then it'd be a 3 or 4 but the movie deserves only two.
30. Suspiria (original)✅⭐⭐⭐⭐
The aesthetics are so 😍💕
Did I mention I'm a Dario Argento fan? Okay, I'm a new fan lol like, I'm barely starting with his movies and all that, but still, he's the only one who has actually made me feel so excited and terrified at the same time. Like actually screaming and keep me horrified for several minutes. I loved Phenomena with Jennifer Connelly. Suspiria seems like a dream and a nightmare at the same time.
She looks like Lily Collins 😳
God... the aesthetics... that blue, and those walls... 😍💖
It's actually ballet! 😭😚
The music gives you an actual headache...
Are they trying to drown her!? That diet seems so... lol still... I wish there was a school like that. Minus the bloodbath ofc
lol I like how Susy prefers to sleep before spying on the teachers. I'd be pissed irl because there's nothing better than a mystery but... the movie's making me laugh a little with that. I think they're putting something on her food though.
Okay Susie's definitely taking pills to sleep, you do recognize the signs after a while... I'm surprised I didn't notice before... but Sara keeps shaking her so much it's impossible for her not to be awake unless she's on drugs 😭
Omg...
Okay... the ending was a bit disappointing. But also good? Still, that makes me like the remake a bit more. Ummm... I think I like both movies now. I'm keeping this on first place because the aesthetics and music. Some parts are dark but nothing big if you're into horror movies. Still... I think I want to watch it again because of the aesthetics. *sigh*
Tumblr media
31. (No title. I'll be watching a movie with a friend 😚💕)
🦇✨ 🎃 ✨ 🎃 ✨ 🎃 ✨ 🎃 ✨ 🎃 ✨ 🦇
My take: I'm usually a person who likes horror movies. A lot. But... I'm so tired of them RN so I definitely took some horror movies out to make it a bit more light and that's why I ended up watching The Wizard of Oz and Cirque du Freak. And I still ended up hating them lol that's how tired I am. I'm about to puke already. Seriously. Someone please get me something else to watch lololol
I am now looking for the original books of Oz after watching Return to Oz and The Wizard of Oz (which tbh I never saw the original one until now, but several animated ones, and I always found them so creepy I could not even.)
I'm definitely not going to watch horror movies in a while. I'm so done with it. Also, this is why I was struggling so much and couldn't find another movie to make it 31 to the point I almost fall asleep with most of them. I can't feel a thing with most of them. And I love Suspiria. I'm not going to watch anything else after this movie. Not right now at least.
I did enjoy the movie with my friend. I think it's one of the best things. Just because I spent almost 2 hours with that person. That already makes everything 1000% better.
Things that I've learned:
* I hate slashers, unless they're really good or do not have so many gory details. Or it's a bit more "elegant" lol idk how to explain it, except for me liking more Hannibal than a random freak with a knife. You guys get it no?
* My favorite Halloween movies are with ghosts, but I prefer psychological thriller movies.
* I can endure religions on movies but I hate them with passion.
* Monsters are not my thing because they usually are so brainless and so are the people around them trying to kill or run away from them. Use your brain! (This is why I'm a Ravenclaw -.-)
* American zombies suck. They're slow and boring. Please do not mention to me War Z. Korean zombies are awesome and they're the only reason I started watching zombie movies 💀 I like them fast.
* I will root for the brainy and most sassiest person in the room. If this one is killed I will root for the killer.
* I don't think I'll be celebrating Halloween with horror movies next year lol but who knows right?
* The winner of this list would be: Psycho. And in second place I'd be picking Freaky cause I really enjoyed that movie.
* I'm growing less and less fond of Halloween the more time it passes (not the idea itself, death and undead will never scare me but the whole horror show puts me a bit.... off now. I'm starting to understand my own roots a bit more too like being fond of this time of the year because it ends but not because of the horror, ya know what I mean? I'm getting old I think. Or maybe I'm coming back to the person I used to be.)
* Most horror movies and series lack of character development or something that makes it attractive and lets the audience feel compelled to root for them. That's why many people started rooting for the monster. It lacks humanity. They're just bloodbaths. It's boring.
* It took me so many hours to think of my costumes, design something somewhat decent, pull all the pics and watch movies at the same time 😭 🤣 it was fun but I won't be doing this again.
* I love autumn 🍂🍁🍂
* Somehow I'm more in touch with my feelings right now.
* Some movies and series actually made me feel inspired to go back and write!
* I really, really love autumn 🍂 it's just this cozy, nostalgic feeling. I'm trying not to cry whenever I see the sunlight through the leaves. 🍁

Ask Game please. 🙏
2, 4, 8, 9, 12, 14, 15, 16, 21, 26 and 35.
It's alot I know but the list is full of great questions.
Thank you for the ask! Some of these were answered elsewhere, but you gave me a lot to work from <3
2. Why do you write fanfiction?
Answered here!
4. Are there any writers that inspire you?
Answered here!
8. Which character(s) do you find easiest to write?
Answered here!
9. Which character(s) do you find most difficult to write?
Answered here!
12. Tell us about a WIP you’re excited about.
Currently I'm working on a bunch of Halloween fics! The ones I'm most excited about are an Erasermic Train to Busan AU and a Barduil fic where the Bowmans are about to fall victim to an ancient omen of death -- and have to seek help from an unorthodox source. Here's a little snippet:
Tumblr media
14. What’s your favorite fandom to write for?
Answered here!
15. What’s the weirdest fandom you’ve ever written for?
I have done a lot of writing for the Redwall fandom! For one specific character in the Redwall fandom, to the point where that character's tag consists almost entirely of my fics. They're not bad fics, but there's a reason I made a new Ao3 when I started posting Tolkien.
16. Any guilty pleasure trope(s)?
Anything hurt/comfort, verging on whump. I'm also into anti-hero/anti-villain characters and sometime in the last six months I became a repentant villain simp. But my favorite trope is always going to be good old mutual pining/it's requited, they're both stupid.
21. Favorite pairing to write for? (platonic or romantic!)
Barduil, although I doubt that surprises anybody. I never run out of ideas for them!
26. Is there anything you’ve wanted to write, but you’ve been too scared to try?
I've always wanted to write a mystery, but I'm not very familiar with the genre! Plus I tend to blend genres a bit, and I worry I would get sucked into romance or horror or action and forget that I'm supposed to be writing a whodunit.
35. Ramble about any fic-related thing you want!
My biggest flaw as a fic writer is my inability to let stories go. Almost everything I write turns into an expanded universe of some kind, up to and including my recent venture in to villain-simping x reader fic. I think I don't like saying goodbye to settings and characters I've enjoyed, and my mind can basically always generate new nonsense to put in a word document. I've been thankful with how patient everyone has been with my inability to just leave things alone!

ɢᴇᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴋɴᴏᴡ ᴛʜᴇ ᴍᴜɴ
Tumblr media
ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴍᴀᴅᴇ ʏᴏᴜ ᴘɪᴄᴋ ᴜᴘ ᴛʜᴇ ᴄᴜʀʀᴇɴᴛ ᴍᴜꜱᴇ(ꜱ) ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴀᴠᴇ?
I used to RP him a long time ago on a forum. I also wrote (am still writing technically?) a fanfic. RPing Cloud again here on Tumblr was another way to exercise my creativity.
ɪꜱ ᴛʜᴇʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ʏᴏᴜ ᴅᴏɴ'ᴛ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴡʀɪᴛᴇ?
PWP, mpreg, coffee shop, forced ships or shipping without solid backing (regardless if it's canon or not, I won't do it), OC family members (especially if they're suddenly found in the attic/secret room/seclusion), and certain... eccentric kink setups. There's probably more that I can't think of right now.
ɪꜱ ᴛʜᴇʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ʏᴏᴜ ʀᴇᴀʟʟʏ ᴇɴᴊᴏʏ ᴡʀɪᴛɪɴɢ?
Conflict (psychological or physical), slow burn, consequential setups, what-if AUs (within reason) or aftermath of canon events, or just making Cloud suffer emotionally and mentally. _(:3」∠)
ʜᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴜᴘ ᴡɪᴛʜ ʜᴇᴀᴅᴄᴀɴᴏɴꜱ?
They come as they please. My headcanons tend to be little tidbits of Cloud's habits, his mentality, or his upbringing. Some are pretty unique (to the point I can tell when someone steals it; I caught someone before lol) which I'm glad to have, because it adds a bit of spice to my interpretation. Overall tho, they just come and go whenever it strikes me.
ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡʀɪᴛᴇ ɪɴ ꜱɪʟᴇɴᴄᴇ ᴏʀ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴘʟᴀʏ ᴍᴜꜱɪᴄ?
Silence.
ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴘʟᴀɴ ʏᴏᴜʀ ʀᴇᴘʟɪᴇꜱ ᴏʀ ᴡɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇᴍ?
As I read someone's reply, I get a vague idea of how I want to respond, and then I just start writing. Nowadays, rp isn't based on planning. It's inspirational, so I let my creativity do whatever it wants because unlike a fic, you have to cooperate with your partner and there's no guarantee that what you have planned will come out IC. And I hate forcing Cloud to do something that doesn't seem IC just because I want XYZ to occur.
ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴇɴᴊᴏʏ ꜱʜɪᴘᴘɪɴɢ?
If it works. It's not a priority for me. If I do feel like it has potential, I'll reach out to my RP partner to check for mutual interest. I can write Cloud shipless if my partner doesn't want it; doesn't bother me at all. I do it all the time.
ᴡʜᴀᴛ'ꜱ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴀʟɪᴀꜱ/ɴᴀᴍᴇ?
Mustang.
ᴀɢᴇ?
Old enough to legally drink and play the lotto.
ʙɪʀᴛʜᴅᴀʏ?
November.
ꜰᴀᴠᴏʀɪᴛᴇ ᴄᴏʟᴏʀ(ꜱ)?
Blue, black, red.
ꜰᴀᴠᴏʀɪᴛᴇ ꜱᴏɴɢ(ꜱ)?
I like a bunch of music, I don't think I can narrow it down to a single favorite.
ʟᴀꜱᴛ ᴍᴏᴠɪᴇ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴀᴛᴄʜᴇᴅ?
Train to Busan.
ʟᴀꜱᴛ ꜱʜᴏᴡ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴀᴛᴄʜᴇᴅ?
Queen of Tears
ʟᴀꜱᴛ ꜱᴏɴɢ ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪꜱᴛᴇɴᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ?
Atlantis - Seafret (I'm going to cheat and share a playlist)
ꜰᴀᴠᴏʀɪᴛᴇ ꜰᴏᴏᴅ?
Breakfast and coffee.
ꜰᴀᴠᴏʀɪᴛᴇ ꜱᴇᴀꜱᴏɴ?
Fall/Autumn. (That sweet spot right before winter but not too cold yet.)
ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴀ ᴛᴜᴍʙʟʀ ʙᴇꜱᴛ ꜰʀɪᴇɴᴅ?
A bestie? Uhhh. Well, I do have friends. Kinda hard to favor one over the rest. *strokes chin*

The Real Zombie Fungus That Inspired HBO’s ‘The Last of Us’
Humans will probably never face a fungal apocalypse, but in the insect world, mind-controlling fungi can pose a serious threat
A virus quickly turns humans into ravenous monsters in classic zombie tales like The Walking Dead, World War Z, and Train to Busan. But The Last of Us, a new HBO series based on the same-named computer game, breaks a few rules.
Tumblr media
For one, the human hosts that the pathogen lives in are not "undead"; they are still living. Furthermore, a fungus, not a virus, has infected them.
Additionally, the fungus really does exist. The makers of the game have claimed that a scene from the BBC's "Planet Earth" documentary series, in which a fungus takes control of an ant's mind, served as inspiration.
Of course, the show contains some fantasy elements. According to David Hughes, an entomologist at Penn State University who provided advice on the video game, the idea that a mind-controlling fungus could one day annihilate humanity is unrealistic. Kasha Patel of the Washington Post reports this.
However, other portions are motivated by actual science as well as theories concerning climate change and disease that researchers are currently debating.
Mycologist Matthew Kasson of West Virginia University says of the fungi in the programme, "It's not far-fetched for me."
According to Benji Jones of Vox, an Ophiocordyceps fungus infects a bullet ant in the "Planet Earth" clip that served as the game's inspiration. As the fungus develops inside the insect, nearly half of its body is transformed into fungus. However, it doesn't harm the ant's brain, giving it the ability to control how the insect behaves. The ant is directed by Ophiocordyceps to climb a branch, where it perishes. As the fungus develops from the ant's head, it may more easily disperse spores and infect additional victims.
According to Joo Arajo, a mycologist at the New York Botanical Garden, 35 species of Ophiocordyceps are known to affect insect behaviour, and scientists predict hundreds more are still undiscovered.
However, experts are not worried that these fungi may infect people. According to Charissa de Bekker, a researcher at Utrecht University in the Netherlands who specialises on "zombie ants," "they're very species-specific." And compared to these insects, humans have extremely different bodies.
Tumblr media
Nevertheless, a couple of the show's themes still apply to scientists today. One is that human fungal infections are poorly understood and challenging to cure. Every time we breathe, we inhale fungal spores, although most of them are safe, according to de Bekker, who spoke to Vox. Few hundred of the 1.5 to 5 million species of fungi that exist, most of which are dangerous to immunocompromised individuals, cause disease in humans.
According to Kasson, fungi are more closely linked to animals than they are to plants. It's challenging to fight them without also fighting ourselves. Therefore, they must develop specialised kinds of substances that can eradicate the fungi without endangering the host.
Microbiologist Arturo Casadevall of Johns Hopkins University told Wired that "humanity should be investing more in knowing about what is the largest kingdom on the earth."
The Last of Us also makes the argument that the planet's warming temperatures played a role in setting the stage for the fungal invasion. According to de Bekker, most fungus prefer temperatures that are lower than those experienced by humans. According to the episode, as fungus adjust to a warmer globe, they might be more prepared to infect people. Researchers are
Ilan Schwartz, a researcher at Duke University who focuses on invasive fungal infections, tells Roxana Hadadi of Vulture that the claim that global warming has enhanced a fungus' heat tolerance is not absurd. It hasn't been demonstrated. It's just a theory, and things are moving along at a moderate pace. However, it is feasible.
One example is the theory that the fungus Candida auris, which threatens persons with compromised immune systems and is resistant to several antifungal medications, has adapted to human body temperature, according to the newspaper.
The University of Texas' Dimitrios Kontoyiannis, a mycologist, tells CNN that there is no need to fear because a broad fungus pandemic is unlikely given the way human infections propagate.
Schwartz tells Vulture that despite the show's concept, there are many more important issues in the world.
However, the present worldwide pandemic may make humans more vulnerable to fungi.
According to things like Covid-19 and other viruses, "maybe a larger section of the population will be immunocompromised, predisposing us to eventual invasion by these generally prevalent fungi," Kasson tells the Ringer.

Album ranking for 1/6 by sunmi! 💞
ABSOLUTELY!!!!!
Tumblr media
1/6 by sunmi is one of the best releases of the year it's a fantastic mini and all the lyrics are written by sunmi!! she put a lot of heart into this album she worked very hard and wrote about very personal topics and the production is great!! most of them she made with frants who she works with all the time.
1. 1/6 - gets me where i fuckin live!!! sounds like slightly more polished west coast bedroom pop/new shoegaze!! "take my pressure to the moon" fave lyric i love lyricist sunmi and i love how much she loves the moon!! and the song is about like the haziness of mental illness and being medicated for mental illness i love sunmi so much.
2. sunny - ppl r saying this should've been title track but then we would've been robbed of the high concept y2k teen zombie movie mv so i'm ok with it being an excellent bside. a classic summer song!! it's so fun and retro and koreans love the song sunny by boney m and the joke is that sunny sounds like sunmi she always does little wordplay things like with tail meaning both a cat tail and the corner of a smile. fave lyric "where ru going little turtle".
3. you can't sit with us - a relatively out of place track for this mini but excellent chorus and it's perfect for the mv with the video game noises and retro sound and the mv is so extraordinarily good i don't even care. it's such a good use of movie references just like tail was. the combination of teen girl movie and zombie movie visual tropes is inspired. and this mv was expensive as fuuuck they got the train to busan/kingdom team on this!!! for probably a 1 day rehearsal 2 day shoot!! and sunmi's vocals r very strong here!
4. borderline - she made a whole song about her experience with bpd and dropped a special mv for it before even talking about it publicly i literally have so much love for sunmi and her journey as an artist under an immense amount of pressure with her good girl image and how she's become more open and honest in her music and how humble she is about the amount of creative control she has now i love herrrrrrr.
5. call - these last 2 r skips for me but this is a v sunmi song, it could be on a couple of her other albums and fit in. it's a p american sounding pop song esp the background synths and it's the kind i don't like. the last line of the prechorus is my fave melody from it. the lyrics kinda go hard tho my fave is "throw away everything u have and come back to me, then i'll think about it and spare your life oh" SUNMI WITH A GUN ERA!!!!!!!
6. narcissism - not super into the sound but the lyrics are very very good they're very open and vulnerable. fave lyric "i shrunk myself into the mold that you built" like damn she is going so hard with this album!!!!! i love her!!!!!
thank u for the request!!!!

It's no surprise that Hollywood frequently draws inspiration from Korean cinema and TV shows, but their lack of effort to conceal it is particularly evident following the global phenomenon of Squid Game.
A scenario like Crash Landing on You set at the Mexico/USA border? How is that even remotely comparable to the intensity of the South Korea/North Korean border crossing experience?
And now, they're even planning a remake of Train to Busan.
It's infuriating how they insist on remaking these incredible Korean productions, shifting the focus to English as the primary language, English-speaking actors, and American cultural nuances, instead of giving due recognition to the original non-American creations.
Moreover, we do know you guys can't read. Translating everything into English won't conceal that fact. We're onto you.

Monstober Day 26 - Zombie
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains. - Seth Grahame-Smith, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
----
Ah the zombie, the mindless hoard always in search of more brains. The word describes an undead corporeal revenant, created by reanimating a corpse in some way.
The original zombie is a bit different than the ones we think about today. The concept can be traced back to Hatian folklore, where corpses could be reanimated by sorcerers through voodoo as mindless creatures forced to do their master's bidding.
Once the idea was brought to Europe, it captured the imagination, spawning the zombies of fantasy fiction. These were usually mindless and controlled by magic.
Then came one of the biggest turning points in Zombie evolution - the 1954 novel I Am Legend, which would go on to inspire one of the most Iconic zombie films. No, not the Will Smith one. I'm talking Romero's Night of the Living Dead. Though the word zombie was never used in the film, it became the blue print for what the modern idea of A zombie was, slow, shambling, and most importantly, contagious.
It was at this point where zombies went from fantasy horror to sci-fi horror. No longer were they puppets of some great power, but casualties of some great disaster. A radiation leak maybe, or a plague. You can almost feel sorry for the modern zombie.
If all monsters mirror a human fear, the zombie really pulls it's weight, particularly in American culture. Depending on the story told, it can represent the fear of decay, alienation, atomic fall out, disease, and most chillingly, the fear of something eating away at us from within - and not always the zombie virus. How many deaths in zombie films come from paranoia?
But there's an upshot to all this. The zombies that evolved from Romero's interpretation represent inevitability. There isn't always a cure. There's a good chance our heroes will succumb to the horde at some point after the credits roll. But they're also a testament to resilience. That in the face of this crushing inevitability, we can, on an individual (and in the best stories, societal) level, do our best to survive.
If you're interested in knowing more about how zombies reflect culture, check out the article "How the zombie represents America's deepest fears" by Vox, Accented Cinema's video on Train to Busan, or just play Resident Evil until you wanna cry 😂
