I'm not sure why crispy chickpeas aren't everywhere as like a top ADHD snack because they are:
Delicious (so you will actually seek them out/want to eat them)
Crispy (a good stim for texture people)
Easy to make (super hands off, they just roast for like 30 minutes while you do something else)
Healthy (it's literally just beans! Such protein!)
Versatile (you can switch up the seasonings if you get tired of one flavor; you can also put them on/in a bunch of different dishes)
Cheap AF & forgiving of your timeline (a can of chickpeas won't go bad in your pantry if you don't have the energy to make something with them this week)
So here's the resippy.
Cooked chickpeas (I usually use one can)
Olive oil
Salt
Paprika or curry powder or rosemary or your favorite spice (optional)
Steps:
Drain and rinse your chickpeas.
Dump them onto a towel or paper towel and rub them dry a bit.
Remove any loose skins. If you're feeling extra you can remove all the skins; this makes them slightly crispier. I do not find this to be worth it.
Put them on a baking sheet (lined with parchment paper if you want to save yourself some cleanup). Toss with a drizzle of olive oil, a generous pinch or two of salt, and your seasoning.
Roast in your oven. I usually do 400°F for about 25-30 minutes, but this is pretty forgiving and you can do 425 for 20 minutes or whatever you want to do
Taste a chickpea. It should have an audible crunch. If it doesn't, put it back in until it does
When done, taste for seasoning and add any additional salt or seasoning you want. Proceed to devour them.
These are best fresh, but I still like them later on (if I don't eat them all right away). Store in an airtight container for a couple days at room temp or a few days in the fridge.
Enjoy!!

For all you monster lovers out there...
I don't know how many of yall read webtoons, but there's one called Jungle Juice, and it's about this guy who gets spliced with the DNA of a dragonfly, giving him dragonfly wings, and he ends up going to a college with a bunch of other insect people to hopefully cure his condition and defeat the people who mutated him. . .
And I just gotta say, for you monster lovers out there, it's pretty good imo
Suchan and Hyeseong especially 👀

yarra/aloy for the ship ask mayhaps? :3
TIME TO SET THIS SHIP A-SAIL (with next to NO info) LET'S GOOOOO
who is more likely to hurt the other? Aloy tends to get Big Mad at other folks' stubbornness (try looking in a mirror, Champion)--she has the capacity to say some pretty scathing things while Yarra, though harsh, is more deliberate and measured with her words. Aloy's got a particular way of stinging that would get to Yarra, I think. Yarra also tends to assume the worst in people, which would make Aloy's unthinking words cut a lot deeper.
who is emotionally stronger? Lol, these two are similar in that they're both struggling with A Lot of Pressure under the surface. It's implied that Yarra's spent a longer time coping with it, so I'd assume she's got at least a head start on actualization there.
who is physically stronger? Sorry Aloy, it really looks like Yarra's a brick shithouse of muscle and you've got some chicken legs. Yarra wins.
who is more likely to break a bone? Her own? Aloy. Someone else's? Yarra. (hey, it's better than killing them.)
who knows best what to say to upset the other? I think they're a pretty even match for hurting with words. Boot to my ass, though, I'd go with Aloy. Sharp tongue for sure.
who is most likely to apologize first after an argument? Yarra. She's a strict leader, but a good leader, and good leaders are able to admit when they're wrong (as in canon). The same would apply interpersonally.
who treats whose wounds more often? They treat each other's wounds at the same time, and that's something that can be so personal hrrGNGhHh
who is in constant need of comfort? Aloy 👀👀👀👀👀👀. Yarra is a fantastic person to lean on.
who gets more jealous? Yarra, for sure. Paranoia is one of her weak spots. Could see that being an issue.
who’s most likely to walk out on the other? I feel like Aloy is the easy default answer here, but I could also see Yarra breaking things off as a matter of pride if things ever got bad.
who will propose? Yarra. Some delicious Tenakth custom. My brain's rotting.
who has the most difficult parents? nobody in this gotdamn series has parents
who initiates hand-holding when they’re out in public? Neither--they keep their physicality pretty private.
who comes up for the other all the time? Yarra, always talking about the Nora Seeker/Champion/Desert Flame who rode on the Wings of the Ten. Basically, if yer smoochin' Aloy, yer talkin' about her a lot.
who hogs the blankets? Yarra. Severe tough hardened Desert Clan Commander sleeps like a little baby.
who gets sadder? I think these two get way more pent-up and frustrated than sad.
who is better at cheering the other up? Yarra. Did you ssseeeeeee how soft she was with that child?! One shoulder touch and a few gentle words and Aloy is melting.
who’s the one that playfully slaps the other all the time after they make silly jokes? if Aloy makes one more Meat joke, Yarra might playfully slap her right into the melee pit for a round or two
who is more streetwise? It's Yarra's business to know how the "streets" work in the Desert Clan territory. WAY more attuned to Tenakth custom. But I think any difference here is pretty negligible, as Aloy learns quick.
who is more wise? They both have a lot to learn from each other, and that's what makes them a spectacular match.
who’s the shyest? Both are a little....intense. Definitely no shyness.
who boasts about the other more? listen. If a certain Clan Commander is getting down with the one who flew on the Wings of the Ten, she's talking about it at every opportunity she can. Respectfully. With a sneer.
who sits on whose lap? Aloy moving to sit in Yarra's lap while Yarra smirks, O K A Y?
