Oh I'm aware of that and how that expression came to be. This account has posted couply things about Sam and Kmew before, some other couples too. So that's why I'm thinking they took a sarcastic piss out of the whole "They're lesbians stacy"-thing when they worded the caption as they did to this very specific pic 😂

What colors do you favor in your writing? Which show up the most? If you color-code your characters at all, which colors are the most prevalent?

Hey hey! I forgot to answer this yesterday, so I'm getting to it today.

I'm actually a big fan of color coding things. TTRPG characters, writing characters, and characters who are both (like a good chunk of my Lake Wonder characters) all get a specific color with specific vibes and reasoning. I think Tiff's is the most obvious-- bright, neon green, the kind that looks great under black light. She's a character who spends a lot of time in the woods and a lot of time doing "weird science," her best friend and stepmom are both aliens, and she's haunted by pine needles-- it's a green, and it's going to be bright.

I actually have assignments for basically everyone that I'll put under the cut, but, to answer the questions: I think, in my writing, greens, purples, and blues show up a lot. It's kind of funny, because blue is my absolute least-favorite color. I absolutely love warm colors (my favorite is orange), and I know they came up a fair few times in Impish, but it usually falls into camps of cool colors and oversaturation, depending.

As for color-coding, I know I've assigned teal twice, pink at least twice, a couple oranges, and more than a few greens. Apparently I made a list forever ago, so there's going to be an amended version of it below the cut.

Lake Wonder:

Tiff Sheridan: neon green

Denny: either a rusty or mac and cheese orange

Zane Shade: light shade of red

Stacey Blake: the most feminist shade of fuschia-pink you can muster (post-zombification, gray-pink)

Bloodsaw: dark red (almost black)

Laura Mandarin: gold (was originally a soft purple, but gold fits better)

Kay Clark: cherry red (yellow is also important)

The Aetherium:

Alf Armstrong: a very rich teal

Feminist Icon Gwen Krantz: a faded, crusty teal (like her hair)

Note: they're both teal on purpose! Canonically, it would come from Alf just having an affinity for the color and Gwen's hair being a semi-permanent washed-out teal, but it's also a little link between them, since Gwen's kind of their aunt! (Gwen as kind-of-aunt to both Alf and Indy is delightful to me. Imagine your aunt being wizard Tony Hawk.)

Carter Arcadia: "mellow" red

Valentina Valentine: magenta

I saw that Luigi’s Mansion 3 was severely lacking in lesbian ghosts so I helped to fill that void. Anyways, say hello to my new ocs, the skater ghosts! Stacey, the calm and graceful ice skater and Vex, the hotheaded cocky roller skater. They’re married. In terms of hostility, they’re... kinda neutral? They start off being incredibly hostile and nasty upon first appearance, messing with Luigi similarly to the magician triplets, just with actual taunting dialogue. However, they’re optional to catch. You initiate a boss battle against the two of them at the end of the floor, but once you defeat one and you begin to suck them up for good, a cutscene happens. The other girl rushes in and slams into Luigi, setting her wife free, but also sending the elevator button flying. Luigi proceeds to accidentally pull off an impressive set of skating spins, tricks and moves while floundering about to try and grab it, impressing the two of them and leaving them gawking at the sight. They apologize and decide to give Luigi the button out of respect for his “skills”. You CAN go back and suck them up, though, but it isn’t too hard. You only have to suck up one of them, because the other rushes in to try and pull her wife out of the vacuum, only to get dragged in as well.

yeah we've been dunking on flo for awhile now for how she's chosen to cover sam/kristie. that post bronze medal photos were a genuinely sweet moment of consolation and she turned it into salacious tabloid stuff, especially by bringing in social media and youtube fan speculations.

kristie, nor sam, has ever really talked about their relationship beside briefly on the podcast with her sister. flo seem to think it's fair game just because they post on their personal instagram. I dislike her, and her brother who covers the dash, and I wish the whole they're lesbians stacey thing would die already.

Yeah I have actually seen some of her other crap just hadn’t copped the name. You’ve put that really well, that’s exactly what she’s done. Yes, it was a really sweet moment, also pretty sad when you think about it. But that’s the best moment of the year? Like why is she writing journalism as if she’s a 14 year old fan girl. It’s just wrong on a lot of levels.
