I know it's not a very detail request but I love lando streamer and I NEED more of that. please 🥺😭🥺
Back from Dinner (Date) - LN
Summary: Lando not only hard launches but rocket launches his date on stream after having got home only their first date and brought her back to just spend more time in her company.
Firstly I am a slut for streaming Lando, especially in his form from this stream and I will be doing another Lando stream fic purely bc I have another gif at the read to use.
Lando never considers himself to be so easy, and when Pietra said she thought she had met the perfect girl for him and wanted to set the two of them up. He agreed and was going in thinking the girl would be sweet but there'd probably be no connection.
But it took a seconds to fall hard for her.
"Are you sure? I really don't mind just going home." Y/n states as Lando leads her to his car. "Especially if you have plans. I don't want to get in the way."
"I won't be on the stream for long and I want to get to know you a bit more." Lando assures her, though he knows his streams are usually a few hours long at least. "Unless you want to go home. I understand if you do."
The last thing he needs to do is scare the poor woman especially when he's only so eager because he has realised how much he likes her in the past couple hours that they've been getting to know each other.
It's already heading towards late in the day and Lando does actually have a flight home to England tomorrow. So really he just wants to make the most of having her there.
When they get to his apartment, y/n smiles looking around clearly being raised as the type to look but not touch.
For some reason though, she really brings out Lando's urge to be a complete gentleman so he moves over gently helping her out of her jacket before he smiles at her as she turns to face him.
"So how long have you lived in Monaco? When Pietra said I'd have to come over here for the date I really didn't know what to expect. But Monaco is...so tiny and pretty. Living here must be quite nice." Y/n states as she looks out his window to the view. "It's pretty different from London."
"For the best reasons." Lando confirms making her smile. "Um...make yourself at home, feel free to explore everything. I'm going to run and get on the stream. Come get me if you need anything. I promise not to be too long."
"I will. Thanks."
Now Lando could message Max and say that he won't be on because the date has came home with him. But instead he gets on the stream and sits down.
"Oh, I got some of my helmets from the season guys. Should I go get them?"
He gets up moving through to get the helmets finding y/n is looking through a few of his trophies before she turns looking almost caught.
"What you doing?" Lando smirks making her smile a little, flashing her teeth innocently.
"Nothing. Just exploring." Y/n shrugs then looking at him. "What are you doing?"
"Grabbing my helmets. Could you help carry them in? The camera is angled away so it won't see you."
"Yeah, of course." She nods then smiling as she picks up two of the bags and carries them with him before she follows his actions and places them down. "Is that it?"
"Yes, thank you." Lando smiles kissing her cheek, not being quite so confident about just planting a kiss on her lips though the thought crosses his mind.
The mic only just picked up the female voice and his chat has exploded with questions.
"Alright, I'm back." Lando smiles while reading the chat and laughing as y/n walks out, walking in the opposite direction that she'd came from walking to explore the spare room of his apartment. "Let's show the helmets I have got."
He ignores the chat going through the stream until he decides to end it with Max getting annoyed and shouting at him for his over-dramatics.
"Also, will you give your chat some hint at who that female voice is because now they're asking me in my chat?"
"Yes. I was waiting till the end so I could introduce her then leave the stream." Lando grins, he knows the risk. He knows he has to protect her after he does this, but he already checked throughout the stream and her social medias are all private and she is pretty much just a normal person. Which makes sense since she isn't a social media influencer or famous in anyway. "Y/n?"
"Wait, are you really doing this? Are you actually doing this?" Max questions making Lando grin and look at the camera while y/n appears looking wide eyed and slightly confused.
"Come here."
"No fucking way are you doing this."
Lando smiles as she steps into frame.
"Everyone wants to know who helped me with the helmets, are you alright introducing yourself?"
"Oh uhhh...yeah, sure. Uhh...hi everyone. I'm y/n, just been snooping around after we had dinner."
Max is vocalising his thoughts very loudly, clearly in disbelief while the chat is going so quickly that it's completely glitching.
"I can't believe you've done this." Max states making Lando laugh.
"Alright, you know who the voice was. She was my date, we had our first date. But we're going to go because I've already made her just sit around my apartment-"
"No. I had fun snooping." Y/n grins as Lando leans into the mic.
"Alright, bye Max. Bye chat, you guys have completely messed up the chat so I don't even know what you're saying anymore." Lando states then cutting it all off and turning everything off before he looks at y/n who smiles brightly at him. "That went well."
"Yeah?"
"And you really are ok I sort of just ditched you?"
"I may have enjoyed inspecting your fashion after I helped with the helmets so trust me it's all fine." She nods while Lando laughs and sighs leaning back in his chair, unknowingly giving her an intimation to sit on his lap, though he's certainly not mad about her getting comfortable there. "So how does all this streaming stuff work?"
"I mean really this is all just for gaming, the only stuff added for streaming is the mic and the camera." Lando states sort of feeling himself begin to fall pretty hard for the young woman. "I can show you are some point. Maybe not today, but definitely when you're here again."
"Oh...so I'll be here again?"
"Yes."
He's taking a risk being so forward, but she is definitely not mad about it and seems almost impressed by his ability to make the decisions and show exactly where is mind is on the two of them.
"What is your thoughts on my fashion choices then?" Lando asks making her smile, her hand adjusting the unbuttoned top of his shirt.
"Mmm...it's pretty good, but the skinny jeans have to go."
"I know...I know, I don't wear them anymore I promise."
"If you know that, you probably don't even need the girlfriend effect."
"So you're my girlfriend now?" Lando smirks finally watching her get pretty shy and she almost looks like she's about to leave. "Because...I think I should be your boyfriend."
"Ok." She nods quietly while he grins at her and she leans in kissing him clearly trying to gain back some confidence. "You are pretty fun to be around and I've snooped enough to trust you're not a serial killer or going to like lock me in a room and never let me out."
Lando has to take a moment to appreciate that it's terrifying to be a woman going on a date and while he thinks of himself as harmless, the fact she is even having these thoughts cross her mind makes him want to do everything he can to make her feel safe.
"No. Though I do like to always have your attention." Lando smiles while moving to kiss her shoulder while she smiles at him. "Do you want to stay the night? Completely innocent. We can watch movies, eat...I'm out of the season so I get to eat whatever I want."
"I don't think I can turn down a movie night."
"And you can set in the girlfriend effect from the go because I still need to pack up for home" Lando offers making her grin.
"That sounds really fun." Y/n grins, with her eyes lighting up a little from the offer. Lando could tell from the moment he saw her, she likes fashion and clearly enjoys the sort of "timeless" fashion that continues to look good through any and all trends and eras of fashion. He'd definitely be happy to trust he entirely with giving his wardrobe the same sort of effect. "Do you stream a lot?"
"Since I got more time on my hands. Yeah. But when there's races and stuff, usually I'm not home enough and when I am home, I just want to do other things or game without an audience."
"That's cool. Next time I'm going to like...watch...once you tell me how I can watch it. Is it on twitch or do you just stream on YouTube or something?"
Y/n's clearly opening up a bit more, letting herself ramble excitedly with all sorts of questions about his streaming, which is actually quite nice since usually people burn him out with questions exclusively about F1 and his driving. Or they try and poke into parts of his life he hasn't shared as much.

It’s hard to ship anyone w Dazai bc he plays his cards so close to his chest and is always wearing a mask amd deflecting, that Chuuya is really the only one it ever feels like he lowers his guard around even a little? Like, he starts acting like a dumb kid again sometimes around Chuuya, and maybe some of it is an act too, but it doesn’t feel like it? And the history helps immensely too, bc w their history there’s only so much Dazai could hide from Chuuya bc Chuuya himself was there for a lot of it. Also the trust! Dazai puts so much trust in Chuuya that Chuuya will understand him, I feel like he doesn’t really think anyone else will
it's actually very easy to ship dazai with people considering a lot of the popular ships in the fandom outside of the top few are just Dazai x somebody else.
but the reason skk is the *biggest* dazai ship, I think, is definitely because of the history between the two. Dazai's very much a character who lives in the past despite trying to move forward into the future. He relies on his connections to the Mafia even though he's trying to separate himself from that world, he spends time brooding over Oda's grave instead of hanging out with new friends, he constantly calls back onto his old mannerisms. This isn't to say Dazai's a static character though.
Anyways i think Chuuya being a person from his past would provide stability for Dazai. We know he's affectionate with Chuuya in a way his isn't with anyone else, we know that he looks back at their time together with fondness. We know that Chuuya remembers Dazai as the silly dork he secretly is instead of the detached and cruel mafioso that other's remembered. We know they've got inside jokes and play video games with each other and have nicknames for each other. There's also the fact that they fundamentally understand each other more than they even understand themselves.
At the very least, you can say that Dazai and Chuuya were best friends. There's so *much* history. So yeah skk is easy to ship, but it's also satisfying. Best friends to lovers is a satisfying dynamic but also flavor it with vague rivals to lovers seasoning and that's what skk is.

Personal canons are the canon everyone has created based on the canon and fanon content they've consumed.
Expansion not necessary. I just wanted to add my thoughts.
1. Examples range from wanting to wrap his drinks in a web before drinking them to wanting to fall asleep curled up in the back corner of his closet. No, it doesn't matter which Spider-Man.
2. This one is just my perception of the two. There's nothing I can actually tell you about this other than the vibes seem to match.
3. The headcanon of Poison Ivy eating mostly meat is fun. (Not fully carnivore because I think she'd also eat plants because it's necessary to eat both to be a healthy human and can be healthy for the environment if done in moderation). I decided to combine it with Danny Phantom for this because I haven't seen anyone do it before. So, Ivy being mostly carnivorous and Sam being ultra-recyclo-vegetarian would be appalled at each others diets.
4. Cyborg's connected to a supercomputer created by a more scientifically advanced society, while Barbara is a human (I specified her because she's the best Bat at hacking.) Her being the best hacker in the universe is a stretch at best. There's gotta be computer languages she's unable to decipher because it's so different to any on earth. (I don't think anyone from earth should be able to hack cyborg or the mother/father boxes.) If your supercomputer can be hacked by the equivalent of a preteen with a 2010 samsung who doesn't even recognise the coding language you used, then you didn't create a supercomputer. (Mother/father boxes are sentient, autonomous computers btw.)
5. Young Justice was good. Great. It just seemed to stop caring as much about having the new audience learn about the characters after season 2. I wouldn't know who Razer is if I didn't watch Green Lantern: The Animated Series. I stopped having emotional connections with the characters by season 4 and they stopped wrapping up storylines in an emotionally fulfilling manor after season 2. As someone who never read any comic books except for Spider-man/Deadpool and a few green lantern ones and one batman and spider-man crossover, I don't care about the characters they shove into the show and expect everyone to care about.
6. I get it. The "he won't stop if he does it once" was only in one comic (apparently) and the comic was written by someone that (apparently) most of the fandom doesn't like. I don't care. Every reason he has for not killing is valid and coexists. He collects reasons to not kill like it's gold and he's a dragon. The only reason that is invalid and can't coexist is that he doesn't care enough about the people that could get hurt or killed to permanently stop people like Joker, Bane, or Scarecrow.
7. It makes sense if they were the two to get touch starved easily. Dick grew up in a circus where everyone was presumably pretty tight knit and Tim grew up in a home where appearance mattered more than feelings. But also they happen to be the characters I like to torture.
8. Strange is petty and I 100% believe that Tony started it. (Stephen is finishing it though.)
9. Freddy Freeman can't walk without crutches and flies in the comics. (I haven't read them, tho) I feel like it's erasing disabled peoples' struggles when they just give him the ability to walk in his hero form. Let him be a little flying guy who never touches the ground.
10. It's a comic thing again. I just think it's more interesting. (I found pages of captain marvel comics in google images and tumblr.)

"Working on The Winchesters for the past year has been such an incredible honor. The fandom is so immense and passionate for this universe. They've been so accepting and supportive toward the show, it's made the entire process a dream. It would be a shame not to continue exploring the vast world we've built and grown to love so much. There's so much opportunity for new storylines and perspectives on the Supernatural universe."
Meg Donnelly
"I've learned so much about myself working on this show. The Winchesters is a beautiful story of stopping at nothing to help the people you love. There is so much more of this story that needs to be told and it would be honor to keep playing such an iconic character like Mary Campbell."
JoJo Fleites
"This story is worth fighting for because everyone can relate to these characters in some way, shape, or form. They are universal and timeless and they speak to so many people. I love that people see themselves in Mary, John, Carlos, Lata, Millie, Ada and all of these other characters. We want to keep telling the story and I specifically want to keep inspiring those that may not feel represented, such as people of color, the outcasts, the LGBTQIA+ community, and so on. It means a lot."
Nida Khurshid
"Continuing the legacy of the hugely successful show, Supernatural, has not only been humbling and thrilling but also a way for me to represent my heritage proudly through the character I get to play. Fighting for what you believe in whether it be saving the world from monsters or standing up for your friends, I believe our show can inspire that sense of courage and direction to fight for what's right in a world that needs it."
Demetria McKinney
"This show has been such an incredible bridge, not only in connecting the Supernatural origin dots, but bridging the gap between day-to-day and fantasy. Stepping away from life for a moment to recharge is something I don't take for granted. The added bonus of doing that in a space that is familiar (in its Supernatural nature) and mysterious (in its own right) isn't something you get to do often. The array of characters made everyone feel they had a place in this space. And I loved living out these stories with this cast and crew! Thanks for all the support you all gave us! We hope we get to play again one day."
Bianca Kajlich
"The Winchesters has been one of those 'lightning in a bottle' experiences. From the cast's very first dinner all the way through to the final few scenes of our season, we bonded over our shared desire to tell this story in our own way. We became a family within a family within a family! And from our family to yours, we believe in this story, this universe, and all the fans that light the way for us."

An announcement
I have work today, so discussion and analysis of the episode is still on hold. I have something to say in advance, though for when I do get started:
For my own sanity, I will not be discussing the cliffhanger.
tl:dr Until more episodes are released that can give us more context for the last few seconds of "Wanted," I'm not going to be crafting any theories or making any predictions or doing any analysis about them. Because trying is just going to frustrate me and I want to actually enjoy this show.
spoilers below
The idea of Victim returning to the series was always something that I've always had mixed feelings about.
I wanted to see the character again in some capacity; have one of the other sticks discover his former, brief existence, or have some sort of mental connection between Victim and one of his Becker-born fellows be established, or have the animator consider Victim's involvement in his own past, or at least have Victim's one-time presence be acknowledged by the series in some way, even if it doesn't expand into an actual plot point.
That was my best-case scenario: that Victim's short life be consciously addressed or referenced in-universe by the current cast. I'd be content with whatever effects rippled from that.
What we've gotten is more than that. More than Victim's role in the overall narrative being understood and acknowledged by the other characters.
Victim himself has returned, to take up a new role in the narrative.
And what I'm feeling is...mostly apprehension tbh.
The fandom has done so much with Victim. As far as a canon basis for personality, he had by far the least for us to work with out of any AvA stickfigure, so we all poured our own ideas and thoughts and nuances and pursuits into him. No two fans' Victims are alike, but there are still patterns of popular interpretation to be found. Victim being gray. Victim being in the void. Victim being a ghost. Victim having a funky relationship with code due to partial-deletion/recovery. Victim reincarnating into Chosen or Second.
Over the course of this new season, a lot of that is going to be permanently branded as alternate characterization, because Victim will be getting canon established for himself.
I can live with that.
But just because I know it's coming doesn't mean I'm ready to pack away what we've made on our own just yet.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm eager to see what Alan does with putting Victim in what seems to be a villainous role. Alan has already done such intriguing things with the stickfigures who are identified by archetypes, and how these characters alternately embrace and defy different aspects of the in-universe titles they've been named with is something I look forward to seeing more of with Victim.
At the same time, though...a petty part of me still isn't over the kerfuffle a bunch of us had two years ago when some people in the official discord server decided that Victim as he appeared in AvA1 was canonically evil.
AvA1. The episode where he gets disparaged and unmade. Where he had to fistfight a cruel god two minutes after being brought to life, and when he had the audacity to almost win he was punished with cessation of existence.
And...apparently that made him evil, in some people's eyes? I didn't get it then, and I still don't get it now. But perhaps you can see why the hints toward a villainous role for Victim in upcoming episodes have me a little on edge.
I've seen "evil Victim" done well, I know it's possible. SammyXD's incredible Ghost in the Machine comic is foremost in my mind, but I can name at least two other examples. I know it can be done.
I just hope it's worth it.

Do you think this makes it sound doubtful that beth will return? This is the first 6 episodes review
Okay, so I've read about 10 of these review articles over the past day or two. I get that it doesn't say we'll see Beth, but I actually think it sounds VERY promising. A lot of what me and my fellow theorists have been saying for a long time now is already being confirmed.
I'm going to combine several Asks into one post so I can gather all my thoughts in one area. I'll also insert some of the articles in case you want to read them yourself. Just keep in mind that they do have a lot of spoilers.
If you read across all the articles out there, some of them clearly are loving the Daryl spinoff, while others are much more negative and hate it. (Most of them seem to harbor negative feelings toward Norman and TWD in general, so I wouldn't take their words too seriously.) But you start to notice similarities between the articles. Most of them talk about the same things in the series, and we start to get a lot of hints toward what we'll see.
It's true that they don't mention Beth and some go out of their way to say that there are no other familiar faces from TWD. But keep in mind a couple of things about that:
1) I think that's aimed toward the Carylers. They're so sure we're going to see Carol at some point, and to me, it doesn't sound like we will. Or, if we do, it will be at such a last possible secondn to kick us into season 2, that her presence will have absolutely no effect on season 1.
2) Several of the reviewers have said that AMC swore them to secrecy when it comes to episodes 5 and 6. So, they've said some general stuff about how amazing episode 5 is gonna be, but overall, they can't say anything about what they saw in those episodes. So even if someone big showed up (Carol, Beth, Rick, Shane, lol) they wouldn't be able to say.
And I think it's SUPER significant that AMC would swear them to secrecy about those episodes. When the show literally leaked Troy's return 15 minutes after the FTWD Coda with the "mysterious" person, why would they demand that those receiving the screeners not reveal anything about the final two episodes of the Daryl Spinoff. Sounds all kinds of promising to me.
But there's plenty more. Let me just mention some things that stick out that seem to confirm we're right about smaller things (i.e. not Beth, per se). If you read across all the articles, there are actually a LOT of spoilers for the first few episodes. You can piece together a lot of the story from what's said. Yet, there's nothing about Carol, as I've already mentioned, and nothing suggesting a Daryl/Isabelle romance.
I did read one that said there are some "romance tropes" they use between the two of them, that are sure to get the Daryl shippers all fired up, but we don't actually hear about a relationship.
To me, that just means we'll see more of the same. Just as with Connie, just as with Carol, or Rosita, or just about anyone else he's had friendships with, he will be close to Isabelle and they'll connect on a deep level. Because of that, we're sure to see some Daryl/Isabelle shippers spring up, and the more angry people who ship Daryl with someone else (we all know who they are) will be on the warpath.
But I think if we were truly going to see a Daryl/Isabelle romance, it would be apparent in some way from these reviews. Even if they didn't come right out and say it, they would be frustrated that something is going to happen to inflame the shipping wars and would say so.
Another thing certain shippers were saying is that the leaked pictures of Daryl near the moose crossing sign were just down the road from the Commonwealth and were a scene where Carol caught up with him before he left the states and they had some kind of interaction.
That's proven to be false. We're now being told by the screeners that he's in Maine, very far from the Commonwealth, and Carol is nowhere in sight. To those of us to *actually* follow the details of the story and the symbolism, this has a lot more ties to Tales of the Walking Dead's Davon episode. If you haven't watched it, I would highly suggest you do. We're hoping to see some obvious ties to it in the show.
Of all the articles I read, this may be my favorite. It just gushes about how good Daryl's spinoff is, and has lots of good clues in it. But yes, the line you mention, Nonny, really stood out to me.
If you read carefully, it says Daryl will be asked about those he loves, and being Daryl, he's fairly closed-mouthed about it. But they specifically entangle that idea with him saying, or almost saying, a name that will break the internet. The Carylers, obviously, assume it will be Carol. But would him saying her name break the internet? I don't think so.
Exactly!
It doesn't make sense that Carol's name would break the internet. He already told Carol he loved her before leaving the CW, so it wouldn't be anything new. The names of any other character (Rick? Judith? Michonne?) wouldn't either because the audience knows they're out there somewhere. To break the internet as the reviewer suggests, it would have to be someone we don't know about (most of the GA doesn't think Beth is alive) or something we haven't heard Daryl say before.
So, here's what I'm guessing/hoping for. What if someone (Isabelle, I'm assuming) asks Daryl if he's ever been in love? Now, it says it's an "almost" name drop, so maybe he doesn't actually say Beth's name, but mentions a girl he once ended up alone on the road with or something.
That would be sublime. 😍
And naturally other shippers think he'll refer to Carol. But here's the thing. Let's say--you know, just for kicks--that he IS talking about romantic love and he DID refer to Carol. I still don't think that would break the internet. Sure, the Caryl shippers would go absolutely ballistic with triumph and joy, but remember that, while they're very loud and vocal, they're just a small part of the internet. Most of the GA doesn't know who they are any more than they know who we are. And I think the after TWD viewer who isn't part of the ship wars would just go, "huh. Okay. So they finally had Daryl say he was in love with someone." And then they would shrug and move on. Because most of the GA wants Daryl to find a happy ending, but they don't care overly much who it's with.
Now, obviously I DON'T think he's going to say Carol's name, in a romantic or any other capacity. My point is just that no matter how you slice it, Daryl saying Carol's name would not break the internet, so that can't be what the reviewer is talking about.
But referring to Beth would be completely different. We've never heard him talk about her before. And if he talks about feelings he had for her, well, even the average viewer remembers his and Beth's storyline (AMC has certainly kept it in the forefront of most people's minds all these years) and would have an emotional reaction to Daryl talking about her, and even more so if he says he loved her.
Now, of course this is all speculation one way or the other. We have no idea what he will actually be talking about in that scene. Again, this is just what I'm guessing/hoping for, because it's the only thing I can think of that would "break the internet" as the article says.
So, I've already addressed most of this. I'm not getting the Daryl/Isabelle romance thing at all when I read the articles. Again, just read them very carefully. It says there are set ups that feel like romance tropes, but it doesn't actually say there's a relationship, and the same thing could have been said of Connie and plenty of others.
As for the happy ending, I really think we'll see something of that by the end of the first season, but remember that the reviewers have admitted they can't talk about that. But even if we don't get a total Daryl/Beth reunion in S1, keep in mind that Judith's line about his happy ending probably spans the entire spinoff series.
And if I'm right about him mentioning Beth, (yes, still a big IF right now) well, there's no reason to do that unless they're foreshadowing her coming back into the story.
So, as always, we'll have to wait and see what the episodes bring us.
Can reviews be misleading? Yes. Definitely. And I don't even think it's always done purposely on the part of the reviewer. Sometimes yes, sometimes, no. But we have someone who has seen the show and is trying to reveal it without spoiling it. Each reviewer has their own thoughts and impressions and biases that naturally leak into their reviews. Some of them don't have English as their first language. Some of them are Caryl shippers, and that will make their reviews sound a certain way.
So, you just have to keep in mind that these reviewers are human beings with their own insights and opinions. And while that might make their review come off as misleading, it's really just that they have their own interpretation of what they're seeing, just as we do. Whose to say who's right or wrong? (Except we're totally right. 😉😁😇)
Overall, I've really enjoyed reading all these articles and harvesting clues and insights from them. I'm more excited for the Daryl spinoff than ever and still think it is leading to Beth. And we'll get episode 1 in just a few days. (Yay! 🎉)
Xoxo! 🍁🍂💓

What do you think about the possibility of El and Will not being exactly twins but half siblings? Maybe Lonnie was in the MK Ultra project for money and had an affair with Terry Ivis, so El was born. His sperm was affected, and Lonnie had another child with Joyce, who was born with repressed/hidden powers (I'm considering Jonathan was already born when Lonnie's balls were chernobyl'd). Then Lonnie took Will to the Lab a feel times for test, but they concluded he was born powerless, because he appeared to be a normal kid.
Upon coming across twelvegate, I did initially go down this rabbit hole! I made a shit-post about the possibility of Lonnie being both Will and El's dad, but more recently I've expanded on that evidence in an ask, discussing why I basically don't think that is the case anymore.
The main thing that makes me so confident about this, is that I'm certain Terry isn't El's 'mama'. Like pretty much 100% certain.
There are a few posts where I discuss this (here, here, here) so definitely check those out if you want a deep dive to better understand where I'm coming from with that claim.
To be fair, I did not subscribe to this up until recently. It was as if my brain blocked me from even merely considering the possibility that Terry isn’t El's mom because of how tragic her whole situation was. And so it felt almost insensitive to even speculate, I guess?
But as of now, after actually going back and watching her scenes for myself, as well as flashbacks featuring her that resurface in future seasons, I think that if anything Lonnie is a roadblock to the truth, in the same sense that Terry is. Because the evidence that Terry isn't El's mom is too alarming to ignore. Like, once you see it, it becomes very obvious they've always been trying to hint this to us, as subtly as possible, and they did it successfully bc it went over everyone's heads.
And so since Terry isn't El's mom, and there are certain details tying Terry to having some sort of connection to Brenner (ie Papa/Mama, Bonsai trees, Hopper's line about Terry's 'relationship' with Brenner), then it's very likely that, in the original timeline/universe or whatever we want to call it, Terry could have worked closely with the lab in some capacity, though ended up supporting Joyce’s claims over allegations about the lab and experimentation, ie. the article at the end of s1 including Joyce/Terry's testimonies. And so she was basically a confidant to them who went against the lab and was lobotomized for it and placed in a scenario that blocked out the truth very conveniently for them, while also essentially punishing her.
And when it comes to Lonnie... That is where it gets very complicated. Because I think it's likely that in the OG timeline, Lonnie was not the greatest guy. I think there was a lot of scary subtext surrounding him harming Will in s1 and it's possible that this dude has been given the role of their father in this timeline, which in the original timeline he is not. He's essentially Stranger Things' very own Biff.
This does make me very intrigued about what is going to be revealed in 'The First Shadow' play coming soon. We're said to get the backstory for not only Joyce and Hopper but also Lonnie and Bob (and Henry) apparently, so that is making for some interesting potential Back to the Future parallels from Marty’s parents’ 1955 timeline vs Willel’s parents’ 1959 timeline. Also the synopsis being young Joyce Maldonado and Jim Hopper dealing with the shadows of the past...
Arguably, it is crunch time. We're approaching the final season and this is a revelation that a lot of the audience are probably not going to be ready for, despite a lot of the hints in the details. I presume they wont have much time in s5 to rehash the mysteries of the past, beyond glossing it over, and so this was honestly a perfect way for them to go back and give context for what is to come in a really unique way that is canon, but without having to cram too much into s5 like they had to for s4.
I do think that Lonnie is very likely to return in s5. Though he referred to Hawkins at its most tame as a hell hole, so idk if he would be running back there during an apocalypse, seeing as everyone else seems to be trying to get out ASAP. It is possible though, and yet I just really don't think his arc is about this series long secret that he is both El and Will's father. If anything I think the revelation is much darker in relation to what truly happened to him and El, possibly in relation to the lab, as he could indeed have been an MKUltra volunteer like you said. It could also help to go read up on some of the cases/allegations put against MKUltra back in the day bc, though it is quite disturbing in parts, it could very well hold the answer to at least some secrets seeing as this is partially based on a real life program that did exist back in the day.
If Lonnie was their dad, I think he would have been a lot more prioritized in the overall story over the seasons, and yet they kind of introduced him in s1 with only a couple references to him in passing since then. If anything it's giving we do not want to give this character too much acknowledgement in the story.
I think a return for him would perhaps look like the storys way of revealing to us that he is not actually their father. Either via flashbacks to the og timeline or perhaps vecna visions at a point when we’re still assuming this is Will’s dad. I do think he very likely is connected to the darker secrets behind what really happened though, related to Will and El's original disappearances, leading up to them in the lab presumably.
I won't claim to understand the memory/time-loop nonsense, because I think that it could also have a lot to do with Will's powers related to time and therefore probability perhaps, which ties really well into the whole X-Men 134 reference. And yet, obviously, I feel like it's too much to try to be certain about which angle go at it, despite having a lot of the pieces to perhaps figure it out? Bc we can guess all day what Will's powers will look like, but we still don't really know for certain? And so going too far beyond that feels like too much guessing to me.
I will say that what makes me even more confident about this theory, even more than the Terry evidence, is just the heaps of evidence connecting Will and El from the very beginning, and how that also connects to Joyce and Hopper more often than not.
If you're open to looking at evidence related to the whole Joyce + Hopper = Willel twins + Jon ? gate (?), or even just how byler also fits into this, bc tbh a lot of the evidence connects, these are a few posts below that might peak your interest. And this isn’t even all of it.
This is the MAIN one so if you read any of them, read this (first and foremost)
Twelvegate Evidence going back to s1 and oh so many unanswered questions
Twelvegate Evidence going back to s1 + Willel Twins
Deer Imagery following The Hoppers/Byers Family
David Harbour cryptically changing his IG pfp to twins, multiple times before S4 dropped:
The fact that Star Wars' big plot twist was that Luke/Leia were twins... That the Duffers are twins... That Noah Schnapp is a twin... 'IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT (MIKE), THEY'RE IDENTICAL'...
El: Me? I'm twice as happy now *cut camera to estranged twin Will opening van door for him and El*
The Wright Bros
Parallels between El being confronted, with Will standing by frozen
"She missed her dad. We all do."
El and Will reuniting at Nina and the remaining timestamp is 12:00
"Mom!"
I will alway say that I am subject to be wrong. The only thing I'm very confident about now is that Terry isn't El's mom, and it just so happens that everything else sort of falls into place after that.

20 Questions for fic Writers!
Tagging myself via @lucky-bishop because I'm half bored, half a bit loopy on benadryl... And same suggestion; if anyone else wants to do this, say I tagged you <3
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 73?! Wow that surprised me.
2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 403,636
3. What fandoms do you write for? These days, mostly Teen Wolf, but I've written a lot for Merlin, Percy Jackson, BBC Sherlock, Gundam Wing, and assorted others over the years.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
1. Acts of Man (Merlin/Arthur, Merlin): On the morning of their Annual pre-Christmas Dinner, Merlin is shocked to find out that Gwen thinks his boyfriend, Arthur, isn't good enough. But after a glimpse into Merlin's quirky flat, Gwen realizes that she might not have the whole story.
2. Nightmares (Jason/Percy, PJO): Percy feels lost and alone after returning from Tarartus. And if that's not bad enough, he can't sleep without having horrifying nightmares. Luckily for Percy, Jason is the one person not avoiding him, and the one person that has offered to help.
3. Looking for the Thing We Lost (Stiles/Peter, Teen Wolf): But the thing is that Stiles had already been forgotten by everyone.
4. Here I Am (Stuck in the Middle With You) (Jason/Percy, PJO): Percy and Jason's mission gets derailed when they find themselves trapped in a room with no way out. Luckily, they find a way to pass the time…
5. Know How A Man Becomes a Beast (Stiles/Peter, Teen Wolf): Peter took a steadying breath and stepped into room. He held up his hands and walked forward slowly, the way he would approach any wild animal. “Stiles. It’s gonna be ok.”
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Yes, I try to, even it take a while -- at least on my newer fics. I haven't gone back to things from like 10 years ago to reply to old comments that I missed, but I try to keep up. I want people to know I appreciate the time they've taken to read and react to my fic, and you never know if you're going to connect with someone new and make a new fandom friend.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Give Me Pure Energy (Stiles/Peter): the alternative season 2 where Stiles craves some normalcy and befriends a new kid in his econ class, only to realize that maybe they both want more from each other than just a simple friendship.
This is a super darkfic anyway, and has the kind of ending that's happy only if you're ok with all the awful things that Peter does during the fic... but generally, I like my angst with a happy ending so this is the best I can do.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Oh gosh, so many of my fics have happy endings... that's how I like em... uhhh. I'm going to go with one of my all time favorites:
Stuck Between Stations (Stiles/Peter): the one where Peter and Stiles are stuck in a time-loop inside The Wild Hunt.
8. Do you get hate on fics? I have been so lucky to not get much hate. If people are talking about my work behind my back, it's not getting back to me. And aside from an odd comment or two, I've gotten through about 20 years of fandom without having to deal with random hate.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? yes. I've written m/m, m/f, f/f, and, I think an m/m/f once... but I'm into all sorts of things and have fun writing about it
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I have in the past; a Harry Potter/BBC Sherlock x-over that got abandoned. I've also done a few prompt challenges that lead to crossovers/fusions like SPN meets MJN Air, etc.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? god, I hope not!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, I have been so lucky to have a few of my fics translated into different languages. It's always such an honor, and I give full permission for people to translate my work as long as they connect it back to mine on AO3.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? I have but it's been ages. And I think there may be someone *cough*@punchedbymarkesmith*cough* that would be great to collaborate with if an opportunity presented itself...
14. What’s your all time favorite ship? Steter it would seem. I've been reading and writing it since 2016...!
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I fully intend to finish It's Only Forever, but I've used some of the ideas for it in other things, so I know it will be hard to get back into where I was going with it. I don't want to abandon it, but it's been a few years... le sigh.
16. What are your writing strengths? I think I'm pretty good with dialogue, especially banter. I think I'm also great at taking a small detail from canon and using that to world build something different.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Oh, that's easy: action and mystery. I really wish I could write a good casefic or mystery plot, and I just can't. I have to distract and misdirect at the end... I have to do the same with the action, too.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I don't trust myself. I might confer with someone who speaks that language if it was really needed, but I would probably do something like:
"Wow, I can't believe you survived that helicopter crash," he said in Spanish.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Gundam Wing, followed my Newsies and Harry Potter.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written? I already gave a call out to Stuck Between Stations above, so I'm going to have to go with:
At This Truth We Have Arrived (Stiles/Peter): Five years after the death of Laura, Peter returns to Beacon Hills only to be confronted by the truth that the pack has moved on without him. But the fact that everything he once knew has changed isn't necessarily a bad thing; not when there is someone like Stiles who is so full of possibilities.
OR as my WIP notes for this fic say: "Peter is curious. They do something. Murder murder. Sex sex."

During the actual events of the Squid Memes fic (if I ever actually manage to write one) the first time Paige is gonna be properly mentioned is during "The XMAS Discovery"
'Cause like. Squidmas is a Thing, so even if Meggy doesn't know some of the particulars of Christmas since she...honestly doesn't know jack-shit about human culture starting out, she'd easily be able to figure out from the name, the time of year and the similar decorations that the two holidays are mostly the same thing in different flavors, but Mario mistook her confusion over the "weird spelling" for flat-out not knowing what was going on, and she just couldn't bring herself to correct him after connecting the dots both because he seemed so excited to be able to share this with her and because it helped distract her from the fact that Paige has been who-knows-where for months and this is the first Squidmas since she was five that she doesn't get to spend with them.
At some point during the episode Mario actually does find out that Squidmas is a Thing (probably from overhearing Bob mention getting Squidmas gifts for his "nieces"), but he waits until after they've finished their little Christmas Tour to gently call her out on it, and her admitting why she didn't speak up is the first time she's told him or the audience that she even has a sibling. As you'd expect, Mario does his best to reassure her that wherever Paige is, they're probably doing alright, and thinking of her just as much as she is of them.
Of course, now that he knows she's got a younger sibling he wants to hear all about them, and besides maybe remembering happier times with them will make the unhappy present without them easier to cope with, so with the festivities ongoing in the background the two of them stay in the quiet corner they found and swap stories about younger siblings and past holiday seasons...
...as the scene gently transitions to a snowy night sky to a nightmarish hospital-like facility deep beneath the waves of Inkopolis Harbor, where a certain agent with familiar eyes fends off a horde of oddly-colored Octarians, and takes a brief moment of rest to check the date and contemplate a photograph they and their sister took together only a few weeks before they dove into this hell.
"Merry Squidmas, Megs."

semi-continuation to my last post.
this is very long but believe it or not i've already condensed it a lot from my first draft lmao. i've divvied it up season by season. this is basically a summary of mike and el's respective friendships, as well as their friendship with each other. i've tried to be as objective as possible.
season 1: mike is fiercely loyal to all his friends, and considering how strained his family situation is they're probably the people in the world he holds closest. he's shown to be willing to do just about anything for his friends, throwing hinself off a cliff for dustin and sneaking out in a storm to look for will, and they're his clear priority. when he brings el in he offers her his friendship in return for her help in finding will. she has never had a friend before, so she contextualizes what a friendship is supposed to be entirely from what he shows her. despite bonding a little, they can't communicate in much depth and ultimately know little about each other, although mike shares much more than el. most of mike's positive feelings about el are based on awe about her powers, and most of el's positive feelings about mike are based on gratitude.
overall, el and mike are tentatively friends, but don't know each other well.
season 2: mike is upset about el being gone, and while he has hope that she's still out there he doesn't really act on it like he did with will, although to be fair it's been almost a year and he saw her "die". this season mike yet again revolves around his friends. he's constantly looking out for will, but doesn't treat him too differently. they continue the trend of being the most honest with each other, which was softly established in the first season, and carries through the rest of the show. mike is jealous of max when she first appears, as she captures lucas and dustin's attention. by the end of the season, though, he comes around to her. el doesn't make any new friends of her own this season. she watches mike, but can't talk to him, furthering the gap between them as el has effectively known mike for a year but mike has really only known her for a week. she meets kali, but doesn't spend long with her and doesn't connect with her gang. el is also jealous of max simply because she sees her getting along with mike. when they reunite mike is understandably furious that they were kept apart, but they don't interact much.
overall, while they don't really speak, mike and el seem set up for their relationship to deepen in the gap between seasons 2 and 3
season 3: despite seeing each other frequently for 6 months, mike and el don't seem to interact much outside of kissing. they also still don't seem to know much about each other, and mike can't even begin to think of what el would like as a gift. mike does still hang out with lucas, will, and max, but he barely sees dustin even after he gets back from summer camp. he spends most of his friendship time with lucas, but even this centres around advice on getting el back. will is mad that mike isn't prioritising his friends anymore, and when he snaps mike lashes out before immediately apologising. the damage has been done, however. el finally makes her first friend of her own free will when she starts to talk to max. despite having had 6 months they somehow haven't bonded properly before. within only a few days of friendship, el is already much more emotionally open than she is with her boyfriend of 6 months. el tries to bring emotional honesty into her relationship with mike, but mike dodges it awkwardly, even as she's leaving hawkins indefinitely.
overall, despite having had ample time before and during the season, el and mike fail to actually strengthen their friendship at all. they aren't quite strangers, but even though they met a year and a half ago they've barely progressed past acquaintances.
season 4: mike's friendships are all over the place, as are his motives. he is still very close with dustin, and has newly befriended eddie and at least gets along with the rest of hellfire. his friendship with lucas is suffering due to mike's resentment over lucas joining the basketball team. max has distanced herself from the group, but mike still pays attention to her. meanwhile, he and will have barely spoken since the end of s3 and their relationship is severely damaged. mike finally apologises to him, and by the end of the season their friendship is mended enough that will comes to him about his feelings on vecna. el, meanwhile, has made no new friends, despite trying. this is clearly deeply affecting her, and she feels the need to lie about it to mike. she has will now, and while we can assume they're fairly close we don't see them talk beyond a line or two. we don't see mike's letters to el but we know that he's still avoiding emotional honesty with el. he won't tell her he loves her even when she breaks down and begs him, and it takes will sacrificing his own love confession to el and then prompting mike for him to finally say it. even then, he's not exactly saying it to her face as she can't reply. ultimately el's concern for max, who is still her closest friend despite an unknown amount of contact between the seasons, is what prompts her to break free. el and mike do have a sweet scene before mike's confession, where they behave more like friends than they have since season 1. after his confession, though, el starts avoiding him, and mike seems unusually unbothered by it.
overall, their friendship has only grown more strained, as it has been filtered through lies and intentional distancing. when they do start to platonically bond, el seems to cut mike off after his confession.
in conclusion: while they were building a frienship in the first couple of seasons, ever since they started dating this began to stagnate. they are each substantially closer with their friends than they are with each other. they are increasingly dishonest with each other, worsening as the seasons continue, despite the fact that the first thing mike taught el about friendship was that friends don't lie. if they stay together, there's absolutely nothing indicating that their friendship will ever recover or develop.

hi can i. can you please map out your bulletin board list on how you think ronance will become endgame. because i also have a bulletin board map in my head and i want to compare notes :)
this is so cute i'd love to! @wrought-tweaks also requested this so :D
im going to first go through all the info i've collected as well as inferred (even though my inferences aren't fact, by any means).
so first, lets consider the undeniable truths. in terms of canonical possibility, i genuinely think ronance's chances are pretty high. not only has robin's sexuality been confirmed - something that rarely ever happens in most shows - but there's also the interviews over the last few weeks that lead me to believe that vickie is probably not going to survive the next volume:
call me pessimistic but i really don't think this is going to end up well. if i were to predict vickie's outcome, i'd say we're going to get confirmation that she is also queer (perhaps through vecna) and then she'll die.
there's also this interview about robin's love life in season 4, whichhhh call me crazy but is kinda???
its obviously not confirming anything but 'a story that gets built' reeks of ronance to me, because i really do NOT see any story happening between her and vickie. vickie's barely even been in the entire season, and robin's screentime has largely revolved around her interactions with nancy. its a little fishy.
so if we're assuming that vickie is dying, and there's going to be a shift of some sort in robin's story, then we also need to consider nancy's whole love triangle going on, which - this is a major source of concern for me tbh. but! let me sprinkle some more interview crumbs that are telling of the possible outcome of that whole mess:
i think it's like 50-60% safe to say stancy won't happen in the end if i were to go off of this, but i'm not the type to put all my eggs in one basket, so - i'm not entirely optimistic about it. what sucks, though, is that i've pretty much scoured the internet over the past month (the autism hit HARD after s4 dropped) and there has been absolutely nothing about jancy's future aside from charlie talking about how jonathon was probably having thoughts about breaking up with nancy. jancy might actually stay strong. still, im trying to look on the bright side :')
there's also this tid-bit from natalia which i might be reading too much into (or i might be overestimating the duffer brothers' attentiveness to her character) but:
like come on. this shit reeks of the whole murray scene where he's like "you like steve. but you don't love steve." tell me not?? i feel like it'd be a little redundant to have her going for steve or jonathon when they've both done very questionable things over the last few seasons. realistically though, her answer leans more towards stancy not happening rather then jancy not happening. jancy has been holding up pretty strong overall, which - good for jancy nation tbh but i don’t exactly think jonathon is the best partner to her either considering the incident with him taking photos. call me crazy but if i were screenwriting nancy’s love story i would be taking this into consideration. who knows, though.
now, all the interviews and articles aside, i'm just gonna be real with you and say i really find it hard to believe nancy would go back to steve. she has been wronged by him and she has wronged him, too. not only that but i think she might connect him to her guilt over barb's death, which i posted abt before. if i were to predict the outcome of that whole weird tension between them during volume 1, i'm betting my money that it's not going to go anywhere.
jancy, on the other hand? iiiii don't know. i think jancy is really one of the only things holding ronance back from actually sprouting and becoming something canon. what i WILL say though is that if nancy were to see jonathon now, and who he has become as a character, i rlly doubt she’s going to look at him and be like “yeah i want to continue dating him” lol
that aside, if we're talking my predictions for ronance if they were to actually, really happen, i don't think it's going to happen this season. in a perfect world where things went like how they do in my insane little head, i think there'd be a few embers of something more in the second volume, but nothing would be acted upon just because it'd be too poorly timed for both of their characters. robin is best friends with steve, who's clearly not over nancy/has some sort of residual connection to her that he might be confusing as romantic, so her feelings might be stifled by that. nancy is still with jonathon, and even though the two of them are struggling relationship-wise, its all just too vague to make out what will happen with them. still, if some mutual interest were to be hinted at in vol2, it'd probably be a while until they come together. it might even be right up to the end of the show until we see anything come to fruition in my opinion.
i'd probably be able to tell you my sure-fire prediction for their potential future after volume 2, just because we'll definitely get a solid answer for nancy's whole love triangle fiasco by the end. either way, robin's whole love progression that has been alluded to is verryyyy suspicious and nancy's love life is just entirely too shaky for jancy or stancy to hold up.
pls feel free to dm me/submit your own bulletin board to my inbox if you'd like! i love hearing other people's opinions/predictions/theories for robin and nancy, both individually and as a pairing. ty for giving me an excuse to basically info dump sjkskjgjk <33333333

6, 12, 30, 31, 49, 50 and 79 for the ask game?
6. Is there a battle nexus? Is it a respected facility or operated by criminals?
Yes there is a battle nexus! In terms of respectability and the legality its a little iffy. The battle nexus is an underground yokai fighting ring, run by Big Mama and connected to her hotel chain. The issue is that its a yokai owned, run, and visited business, and yokai societies that are so closely connected to human society, like those in New York, aren't able to be closely organized enough to have things like "laws", only "rules", and there's no one to enforce those rules really, people only follow them for the sake of self preservation (exposing the yokai world to humans would royally fuck them over)
But back to the facility itself. Mama does technically do things "ethically", as long as you thoroughly read your contract with her before signing. There is no way to get out of the contract once its signed though (poor Hueso, he'a a prime example of this. He isn't involved in the fighting ring but still, he knows better than most how much a Big Mama contract can ruin your life). The fighting itself is brutal, the only limitation is that you can't kill (Mama would lose so many fighters and potential signees if she allowed that), its an absolute bloodbath in there. Aside from the terrifying fighting, painful and potentially permanently disabling injuries, and the inescapable contract though, the life of a battle nexus fighter is pretty great, Big Mama knows how to make her show ponies want to prance, y'know? They all get private rooms in her hotel chain (unless they try to escape), and a large amount of luxuries (unless they try to hurt staff or guests), and they can live pretty good lives (unless you hurt one of her children. That is the only way you'll escape a contract early. Some have purposefully chosen to go this way though.)
12. What is the main villain's motivation?
The Krang want to enslave the planet and use its residents and its resources to make more bodies for themselves! They're a hivemind (just one mind, last hivemind of the species, entirely by choice on their part) who are practically immortal as long as they keep getting new bodies, and having a lot of them makes enslaving planets much easier (they don't like to keep the bodies of those they've enslaved, too cramped, and its been proven that some species can escape and cause problems). They've learned in the past that a loud hostile takeover (especially without adequate numbers) can cause annoyances like "rebellions", and one species in particular, the Salamanderians, even managed to build a resistance to their control and force them off the planet, so yeah, slow and subtle. And the easiest way to do that is find the planets most compatible mind, one that could work as a conduit, if they can get into this mind and spread through the population through them, takeover is a piece of cake.
It just so happens that the Hamato family line are the last yokai-human compatible link, even witches (yokai-human hybrids, not at all uncommon) aren't good enough, it has to be a Hamato. And unknown to anyone who isn't from the Bad End timeline, the perfect Hamato is Angie (Michelangelo)
30. Is there a Venus?/31. Is there a Jennika?
Yes! Two of a trio! Venus, Jennika, and Lita, are the only survivors of the Bad End timeline, and they're the kids of Lee (and our OC Julie), Raph (and Mona Lisa), and Angie! They, along with Usagi, are at the core of the chaos in season 2, where the present Hamato family have to prove to the Time Court that they will properly take in the future children and bind them to their timeline (not an easy thing for Angie, as zeir daughter is.....well there's a few major ethical dilemmas with her creation)
49. Are the turtles the same species?/50. Are the turtles the same age?
Nope and nope!
Lee is the oldest, 15 in the prologue and 23 in season 2, and she's a spotted turtle.
Angie and Donnie, the twins, are next, 14 in the prologue and 22 in season 2, Angie being the older twin and Donnie being the younger twin, they're pink bellied sideneck turtles!
And Raph is the baby, 13 in the prologue and 21 in season 2, they're a white morph Mississippi map turtle!
78. Tell us something you want to share about your au/iteration!
Hard to think of one specific thing, but we really wanna emphasize the farmhouse arc! Sooooo many big things happen in this arc, including the mutation of one character, the introduction of a certain baby girl, the end of the coma arc + recovery from said comas, and the introduction of the yokai ocean cave village! So many events to talk about, it makes it hard to talk about the events themselves!

Soooo a few people called me out as toxic for requesting "Maddie beat up Eddie" as toxic. Mea Culpa as I was being dramatic; but I think the "beat up" was a bit much and exaggerated what I really intended. Not going to delete the post, but you guys were right.
But as a Buddie suggestion, I think there could be some real heft in the Buddie story line if there was a protective Maddie v. Eddie moment in the story. Indulge me a moment while I set the stage:
Let's say somewhere near the end point of S6b (placeholder S6E15-16), Buck has been injured and has been recovering with the Diaz boys. There's been a lot of mutual pining, but no movement. They're best friends and current roommates - but they've been both wanting to do something. After a grueling shift, Buck and Eddie are having a few beers on the couch. There's a moment and Buck touches Eddie's hand. Slowly, Buck goes in for the kiss - but at the last moment, Eddie pulls away and the kiss lands on Eddie's cheek bone.
Buck pulls back, horrified, apologizing. Eddie says it's fine, and tries to touch Buck, but Buck bolts out of the house and runs (he's recovered by late season S6b but has stayed at Eddie's past being recovered) back to his loft.
Then next episode (called Fireworks) people are popping off. All of the calls are related to fighting or romance. Once couple has to be rescued from a bathroom they snuck in together. Eddie calls Maddie to ask if Buck is alright and Maddie goes over to see Buck in a funk like he was post-leg injury: self-pity, can't get out of bed, whole 9 yards. Maddie doesn't understand exactly what happened other than Eddie is involved.
Maddie meets up at the 118 and they are doing sparring practice at the gym. Maddie canonically has done that with Buck (it was in Season 2 or 3) and Eddie had the whole fight club arc. Plus, the verbal/physical sparring trope is a tv staple. Maddie is paired up with Eddie and basically starts interrogating him through the sparring.
While Eddie starts by giving Maddie nothing but his own shutdown routine, Maddie is playing the protective older sister, verbally hitting Eddie with "Buck always feels like he is alone, he only feels like he truly has you and me." Eddie pushes back that Buck makes his own choices. Maddie starts sparring a little too hard, pushing Eddie for what happened between the two of them. Eddie says "things just happen." Maddie swings, Eddie misses the block, Maddie connects with Eddie - right on the same cheek where Buck kissed Eddie.
Cuts to: a few hours later and Chim sees Eddie with a black eye he teases Eddie that Buck gave him the black eye. Eddie responds: “No, your Buckley did this, not my Buckley.” Chim says something something about Buckley's being difficult, but how hard he's fought to find Maddie. Chim says something something about "but, you know, you're right. Buck is your Buckley" and Eddie breaks a little bit.
Buck phones in to Bobby to say that he has to emergently transfer to a different station. Buck is afraid he's ruined the team by making an unrequited move on Eddie, but doesn't say that to Bobby. However, when Buck calls, Bobby mentions about Maddie and Eddie. So Buck feels he needs to go down to and apologize in person, not for Buck, but for Maddie. Buck comes down with the transfer request papers and sees Eddie with the black eye; he starts trying to apologize for Maddie when -- the alarm goes off.
It's one last call for Buck with the team at a fireworks factory that is burning down. There are several stations responding and the 118 is not leading the incident. The whole team feels sidelined, the situation it is dangerous but others are leading the evacuation. Even Hen & Chim are not even being asked to check on the rescued workers. It's a hurry up and wait situation and it's unbearable with Eddie and Buck both there - both together on the team, but both holding back and both hurt and being kept away from the burning building, which would just give them something positive to do.
Buck finally turns to Eddie. And says he's sorry. Eddie asks if he's means he's sorry for running away. Buck says no - he's sorry for what he did (and in front of the whole 118) says "I'm sorry for kissing you." Buck launches into an explanation that he's leaving and Eddie doesn't need to worry and typical Buck over explains.
Eddie is rocked. "You're leaving us? You're leaving me?" Buck starts saying he has to - but Eddie interrupts him. "Stop running, Evan. Don't run from me." He says he doesn't know how he's supposed to handle it, but, yes, he loves Buck too. Buck doesn't understand but Eddie walks over to him and kisses Buck right on the mouth. As they kiss, the fire finally gets to the fireworks - and the factory blows. Streamers shoot up into the air and it's all fireworks high in the air around Buddie's first kiss.
Would make for a good season 6 finale...

Little post-S2 AU that lives in my head where Barnaby and Yuri become buddy heroes after Kotetsu retires. 😊
Yuri wears a modified version of Tiger's mask and Barnaby wears a modified version of his suit. They owe so much of their healing, hope, and change in mindsets to him and want to pay tribute in that way. Kotetsu’s definitely at home cheering them on, perhaps even with his whole family 😊
More info and general trivia about this AU under the cut:
If you're wondering, Yuri's new hero name is Blue Moon. He chose this to move away from his old persona and its poor (and also self-degradating) reputation, to commemorate the rare event of his healing he never thought possible, aaaaand because I thought it would be funny if he had some superficial contention with Karina over having "Blue" in his name too lol
Barnaby's is Wild Bunny because, at last, he's usimg Kotetsu's suit and has finally accepted that nickname. Also, I just like the idea of Kotetsu getting jealous that everyone is calling him Bunny now leading Barnaby to eventually change it something else (will come up with that name eventually)😆
Barnaby has become quite skilled with the wire and has been training with Kotetsu to work on upper body combat (punches, grabs, etc.) so that he can take some of the strain off of his leg. The suit also helps, more specialized for punches than his old one.
Yuri uses his fire to warp, fly, and phase through walls to ambush criminals as well using it to create barricades to aid in capture. He has good control over his fire and no longer aims to kill or gravely injur. He also puts those canonical first and skills to use when necessary.
Unsurprisingly, the two get along quite well due to their shared interests and deep understanding created by a bad past. They've become good friends and, though at times he feels undeserving, Yuri gets on well with the other heroes too.
Agnes has taken on Yuri's former role (which he can no longer hold due to conflict of interest) and one of her crew members has stepped up into his place. Yuri chose her as his successor himself because, having worked with her (they we buddies to me even if this season didn't show that) and knew her love for HeroTV and dedication to the heroes and was quite impressed by her plan to debut them as vigilantes.
Kotetsu, Barnaby, and Yuri all work with her to attempt to reform the hero system and make it more ethical and sustainable.
Public opinions are very mixed on Blue Moon, especially after bring connected to his civillian persona, but neither Yuri nor Barnaby care about their reputation at this point (both had already seen the lowest of the low reputation wise before they teamed up anyway), they are both devoted to helping others at any costs.
Yuri will not allow himself to become a walking billboard, but he had accepted a few brand deals and sponsorships, giving most of the money to the worthy causes such as the orphanage Barnaby volunteers at or support groups for those who lives have been affected by the murder of a loved one. Yuri himself also attends one of these support groups (Barnaby joining meetups on occassion as well) alongside weekly therapy.
Yuri does not enjoy riding on the double chaser though, to Barnaby's relief, it means he never asks to drive. When a chase ensues, Yuri prefer to leave the chaser to fly as opposed to separating and driving on his own.
Barnaby and Kotetsu still hang out regularly and finally had their dinner date (and several more followed)
Kotetsu has found other ways to be a hero such as helping the community through volunteering and campaigning against discrimination. He has thrown around ideas of becoming an EMT or volunteer firefighter but he is giving it more thought before making hasty decisions and allowing himself down time with his family.
Bunny and Moon usually place somewhere around the middle of the rankings but they keep working harder to improve ever day and help as many people as possible.
And lastly, Yuri's signature catchphrase was rejected so he has been working on a new one... to no success, theyre all terrible and make the other heroes groan. He'll keep working on it though!

legend of vox machina season 2 episode 12: The Hope Devourer OR LAIR ACTIONS
my partner went "he's dreaming" literally immediately
I can't figure out what that is on the mantle. brain says probably a dildo of some kind, given that that's anal beads and a flogger hanging over the wood hopper
the painting from brimscythe's lair, lute, more sex toys, dragon tooth?
the painting of them that makes me cry despite vax looking Like That
the troll dick is also on the mantle
not sure whose helmet that is in the case tho
a painting of the keep :(
I can't figure out if that purple book on the shelf is supposed to be anything
me: why tf is there a cameo of a cha - CHAIR
three guesses whose children these are
both the characters and the actors
is that the damn reward poster that led them to fighting umbrasyl in the first place
not fucking kraghammer
okay given that they said the runes they've used other places translated into real language, what are the odds this book actually says something
also is that keyleth's ring she got from kerrek or
it's me, I am the person that one animaniacs skit was talking about
that morph from kaylie to vax was actually really smooth tho, props
"we need a skyship to catch them" percy just really wants a skyship
not the tail slap
stop shittalking the dragon in midair
okay but How tho
heheh, ass-id
grog whaling on umbrasyl like a piñata, if he hits it enough his friends fall out
grog crater 3.0
and now he REALLY doesn't have any bones
studiously looks at notepad so I don't have to look at broken bone
this episode just hits all my major squicks, it's Great :)
that sound effect was 100% unnecessary
I don't know why I love vax's "oh no" so much but here we are
it's the raven from the intro!
WINGS
and now vax can fly 400 miles an hour and throw 67 daggers at once
keyleth: you're so beautiful
vex: you get fucking WINGS what the FUCK
I love the little scuff marks on Bad News' scope
"there's no such thing as luck" oh? oh mr. vax "almost got the Lucky feat banned from matt mercer's table forever" ildan?? is that so???
mr. "gave sam reigel shit for not using the halfling feat to reroll natural 1s for two entire campaigns"??? no such thing???
"yup, we're dead"
"we're hurt but so is umbrasyl" smash cut to umbrasyl healing himself
did you just hang up on thordak
"another ominous mountain lair" that's okay it's your favored terrain
[keyleth] flirting: I don't want you to die
as everything from the past 48 hours clicks into place for pike
the Kamaljiori head was a low fucking blow
(little sad we didn't get more about Scanlan and Kam. mb next season)
if I had a nickel for every time Vax went ahead and got caught by an enemy he didn't expect to be in the room and couldn't get past them to escape despite having a perceived physical advantage, I'd only have two nickels but it's weird that it happened twice
HEY you're only supposed to be able to use those once a day
I! Love! the colors! in this lair!
I already love greens and teals so that kind of gradient on the acid effects is targeted at me specifically
"YEP still broken"
the way I broke in half when someone pointed out RQ broke the connection between the twins
"we're splitting the party?" again?
"drop him" drop it, drooooop iiiiit
THE EAR TWITCH such a weird thing to be my favorite trope but here we are
if I had a nickel for every time a powerful enemy used one of vex's siblings as a shield -
I just love the delivery on percy's "get us the FUCK out of here"
vax about 45 minutes late with that "chenga"
"she doesn't control my destiny!" "no, you do" no fate only wyrd
I'M THE JUGGERNAUT BITCH
LAIR ACTIONS
grog has just been Through It these past couple-few days huh
me having to defend scanlan's character arc to my roommate bc she was actively getting bored with Canonically A Coward Scanlan
umbrasyl that is CHEATING
I think if vax says "fate" one more time I'm gonna just leave the room
the way umbrasyl froze at scanlan's voice, chef's kiss
I fucking love the harmonizing with the sword
(another reason umbrasyl probably wouldn't have been able to wield it properly) (besides not having thumbs)
I was almost convinced we were moving up Bard's Lament
"your daughter would have been proud" rest of party: his what now
(I know she was whispering, it's just hilarious to think that's how they found out, like the fucking destiel meme)
"you're ALIVE, motherfucker?!"
mansion time, MANSION TIME
we all precipitated!
if you're not part of the solution etc etc science joke
"and I believe in you" mala: that's just sam and liam
wilhand's new lockeeeeeet
someone pointed out the ptsd percy must have had during this whole scene
an enemy infiltrating his home, his friends and family collapsing in front of him…leave this boy alone
vax I don't know why you thought that'd work
"mind your manners" hehehehehe
see, it WAS sleeping gas
so yennen's been dead at LEAST since they came through from the keep, right
I still cannot hear liam in vorugal and it's driving me nuts. I know it's got all the reverb and shit on it, and he's also fucking gollum so it's not like he's always 100% recognizable, but also I have a reputation to uphold
thordak: I got kids I need this job
LOVE ending on the cracking noise, so fucking good
[shakes internet until season 3 falls out]

I honestly felt SO uncomfortable with Riverdale the last few episodes.
Like yes I know after the past few seasons we should be used to a whole damn plot being abandoned ONCE AGAIN - but this; this is actually useless!
I love the visual aesthetics and the 50s being a setting. But that's about it.
We have zero connection to the whole time travel universe thing, which I honestly thought would be picked up with the help of some tiny hints like ,,hey, btw, y'all are in a seperate dimension". But no. Where tf did angel tabitha go??? Was her saying her goodbyes to jughead just a tool to jump into this new setting with no plot connection at all?
And yes, I get it that the actors are WAY over eighteen, but as we all should be VERY aware about, they are playing MINORS again.
And personally I believe the show is doing a very poor job at not sexualizing those minors.
Yes, I know of the small details like Veronica demanding the bikini and heels performance being banned and the actual sex scenes being censored. I STILL believe this is not okay.
It just takes over. So many referenxed are made and so many conversations suddenly all have to be sexual. Like, really? Is that necessary?
Yes as a teenager you are allowed to experiment and do everything you want to as long as youre comfortable with it and do not hurt anyone else.
But constantly showing - again, they are MINORS in this universe - these characters in underwear is just not okay. There is no need for these scenes to be actually played out.
If they wanted scenarios like this, why not leave the age normal and just put them in the 50s universe? Ooor was the point, dare I say, to let these charachers represent minors again???
The industry is a filthy place. I say that as someone who works there.
People who let this be shot and shown do NOT care about teenagers getting representation or having a sweet little plot about haha, teenagers think about sex all the time its so funny and just for the plot cuz it used to be like this in the 50s for real, they allow it for different reasons and it worries me.
And besides the fact that the lack of continuity really triggers me - suddenly all the episodes have their own plotline and barely have to be watched together anymore - we have several suggestions for an orgy, yes in a sexual way, which I totally do not find funny in this context.
The characters are cool and I love some of the relationships, but the repeatingly unnecessary everyone-with-everyone for 0.39393 seconds just feels like they wanna feed the audience a bite of everything before the last episode.
I am also against cencorship. But the casual mentioning of cannibalism??? In the comic books??? Yeah i would understand that this would have to be banned. Or at least marked to be only sold to adult readers. Yes, the point was that basically everything should be banned and that would be too much, but the way they've thrown some of those topics in so casually and making the bad guy say "protecting children is our number one priority" as if because of his other unreasonable things this would also be unreasonable does not sit right with me.
And btw, the musical episode was a pain to watch. Nothing new there.
I really didnt take riverdale seriously for the past seasons, but right now i feel like we need to take that exact point a little more serious.
