(Sorry, I know I sent a lot of questions already so feel free to ignore this one akdks)
How do you feel about truth serum tropes? I think it has a lot of potential for angst scenarios - not sure which HH character would be the best "victim" though... It's a tie between Angel Dust and Alastor for me!
I spent WAY too long with Jin Guangyao and Mu Qing as my blorbos of choice in their respective fandoms to not have some strong feelings about truth serums as a concept, ehehehe. I actually fucking love truth serum tropes, but I am also phenomenally picky about them.
The key point for me is that I do not enjoy them as a comedic premise! I want truth serum to be tackled with as much seriousness as the character it's being inflicted upon would see it with. Being forced to reveal your secrets - the secrets you're keeping for your emotional well-being, for your safety, for your reputation - is deeply fucked up and traumatizing. It's an extremely vulnerable position to be in depending on the character it's done to!
Bonus points for trope subversion a la a character being dosed with truth serum and the people close to them understanding that this is deeply fucked, and promptly doing everything they can to ensure that it's not taken advantage of.
I don't know if there is any Hazbin Hotel character that would be as satisfying to truth serum as Jin Guangyao, but here are a couple of ideas:
Angel Dust gets popped with it and is pretty good at spinning his words into innocuous glib comments that he thinks are totally fine jokes to make about his situation, except he doesn't realize that everyone is just growing increasingly horrified as he goes on because his normal-meter is so broken
Lucifer gets dosed and it just kinda shoves all of his self-deprecating dark-as-fuck-but-as-a-humorous-cope thoughts from the inside to the outside sans filter and it's just a magnifying glass onto how not okay he is that whips away his thus far semi-successful attempts to keep it together

Wolfwood's arc in TriMax is all about him questioning the world, the ideals he's held all these years, all while wondering if he's good enough—for the world, for his god, for Vash, for the children he protects.
Even in his dream sequence, he can't have it all. Wolfwood so wants to be Big Brother Nico again but believes his hands are stained in blood and cannot be washed clean. He cannot put away his "work," even in his own fantasy.
We've seen Vash running away from his past and him realizing he cannot escape—and then we see Wolfwood with the same realization. Both of them believe there's no true redemption, that they're both lost, that they can't be anything more than what they've been turned into.
They're still going to fight for a better world—but one that doesn't include them in the end. They both recognize the necessity of donning their monikers and doing their duty, but that means leaving any peaceful life behind. As Vash had to cast off Eriks, Wolfwood says goodbye to Nico.

instagram keeps recommending me these terrible reposted "low calorie" switch infographic things with it now being january, but jokes on them bc after having survived years of disordered eating & calorie counting when I was younger I can take one look at the images and know the calorie count written below them is bullshit, ain't falling for that
don't fall for the january diet bullshit pals, it's a scam and most of the posts and infographics ain't even correct

the fun thing is that feihua are certifiably insane about each other but fanghua are the ones who are actually fucked up (and i adore both dynamics)

I had a thought for an AU for tibyim:
An alternate universe where whoever cursed the Wanderer- after seeing her do everything possible to save The Dreaming and numerous others- sees this as her redeeming herself and changing her curse into a gift where she can still walk dimensions but is able to do so painlessly and is finally able to have a home. Her moniker changes from The Wanderer to The Traveler.

Inspection!
What is actually in your chocobo saddlebag?
[context: I just put that frog in there and realised I'd need to actually make space now if I ever wanted to invest in anything else ever again and then began actually examining what else was there]

I'll miss you, horrible little raccoon Elias, but it's time for a different creature to get the icon privilege.
Speaking of, I'm thinking my fox tails/animal tails/fur and critter brushes will be this month's big reward!
The fox tail brushes are puffy color changing pressure sensitive brushes that let you get the basic shape/painted poof in with one stroke. Choose a light color as your main brush and a dark as your secondary color and then apply gentle pressure>hard>gentle for white tip and big wintry coat taper.
There are a few more different styles than my test sheet here, including (ragged fur, puffy-scared fur, more watercolor looks and other fur effects)

hey fellow chronic pain sufferers/people with joint issues, have any of you found something that helps with pain while standing? like in lines and on public transport and stuff?
I can't stand for more than about 2 minutes at a time without my whole spine, along with my hip and knee joints, starting to seize up and if I have to stand longer than about 5 minutes I will end up on the verge of tears tbh but I can't always find a seat and people are assholes about giving up a seat for you when you "look healthy". I can usually just about keep it together until I can find somewhere to sit, but it always fucks up my whole day with pain flare ups while sitting or walking to the bathroom etc. which I normally don't struggle with. I'm on a waiting list for a physio appointment to try figure out if/how I can strengthen the muscles etc. but if y'all have any advice in the meantime please help

Playing the dnd version of Red is actually interesting to me because the context of their memory loss (or... lack of context i guess) really informs how they view romance and relationships and how they choose to live their life once they do regain their memories, and ir facilitates a lot of character growth.
Red in the game never goes through an amnesiac period, so they've just got to content with the immense weight of all their desires suddenly being freed and fed by the party, vs their entire life of Torment And Bad Decision Making.
Basically what im trying to say is this bitch needs to get hit on the head.
