i think its neat the way donqui is the kind of person who seeks comfort in a casual way as to not be questioned vs ishy who just. doesnt seek comfort because she cant risk being questioned? which also links in the way they deal with trauma and stuff.... i think that in a way, donqui's expressive nature could help ishmael seek comfort in her company without necesarily having to admit she wants it, and warm up to the idea she actually likes spending time with donqui

They're back, Pitches! As promised, here is part 2 to the Chaubrey drawing I posted for Day 2 (which you can find here!), aka the Bonus Post for today's prompt! That's right, folks, today I'm bringing you TWO rarepairs for the price of one! (Or, well, technically three if you count the Jeca nods in this one, but they got their own pair of days so we're letting the others shine here!)

As I mentioned in the first post, the background Chaubrey storyline from my little pocket AU is that they get together over the course of planning Beca and Jesse's wedding, culminating in them finally revealing their feelings to each other at the wedding reception. This is the moment that all is revealed! The Bellas collectively decided to do a reprise of that iconic original mashup from the empty Barden pool as one of their performances for the reception, with Aubrey and Chloe taking the leads once again (and with everyone wearing their Bella scarves on their left wrists in honor of Beca 🥺). And what a perfect song choice for the pair of them! 🥺🥺 This is THE Chaubrey song for me tbh, so you know I had to give this to them! Then, after the performance is over and they've given each other enough heart eyes to give an elephant diabetes, they sneak off to actually talk and verbally confirm that, yep, I was singing that to you babe, turns out I'm super into red heads, who knew???

And then they definitely get caught making out 20 minutes later 😂 Fat Amy is gonna be telling that story for years to come (including at their wedding a year later, because Chloe definitely caught the bouquet and, well, sometimes the universe gives you a sign and, who are they to deny the universe something?)
