So, felted this old mushroom hat I knit in the wash. I knew it would felt, but it was either wash it in a machine several times or throw it away.

I think it would make a good project bag, but I want the mushrooms to be right side up, so I'm not sure whether I will cut off the crown and sew it to the brim and then crochet a few extra inches on top, or just leave it as it is and crochet along the brim to lengthen it instead. My first thought was a drawstring but given the depth and how thick the colorwork is, it would be such a fucked up looking bag. Either way it needs a lot more length. We'll see...

finished that spin! hopefully i'll get it skeined off today and washed up tomorrow 🤞

my supervisor doesn't look totally convinced, but he gets mad when the wheel stops moving, so might have just been sulky

the yarn inspector, who is allowed to look only with his paws and *not* his claws or teeths, seemed more satisfied

and that's it for that one. given that it was slightly thick and thin and i didn't weight out the fibre before starting, i think the five metres difference in bobbins was very good, actually. (the purple yarn on the purple bobbin and royal blue on the blue are leaders.)

excited to see how this goes once it's after being washed.

The new meds I'm on have, as far as I can tell, caused my hands to be very weak, to the point that I can't tension this thin sock yarn :/ I'm in the gussets of sock 2 but the sock is definitely bigger and a thinner fabric.

Im... not positive what to do (whether to frog or not, or maybe just switch to a worsted weight project?) Other than tell the doctor this shit is not good.

Perhaps odd question: Is hypothermia a thing for Leo? Considering he's colder than average, in the colder months can he get hypothermia and die? Or frostbite?

He’s actually more susceptible to it than most, even though he can come back from it. The cold does Not agree with him. There’s a reason his casual outfit is a winter coat, after all! He gets chilly :(
