i need to share the absolute fucking Experience i had playing minecraft tonight. i'm gonna be emotional about it for days

so me and my friends like to play on this server that's pretty much just a bunch of minigames. one of them is Murder Mystery - of a group of - i think its 13/14 people - one person is randomly selected as the murderer (spawns with a sword), the other as the sheriff (spawns with a bow). the rest are innocent. the innocents can gain a bow by collecting coins. no one knows anyone's status unless the player shows their sword/bow. i'm doing a quest where, in order to get points, i need to kill the murderer.

so as the game start countdown begins, me and my pal are checking out this Red Link skin. it's pretty neat! we're all crouching and punching at each other, as one does. i feel a connection form with Red Link. we're buddies now. we're in this together.

so we're all running around the map. every time i see Red Link, we crouch and punch at each other. the game is going fine, we're having fun. i'm delighted that i've made a one-game friend.

then my friend says that Red Link is the murderer, and i literally have a hard time believing it. Red Link? my Red Link? no, they must be mistaken. we were together at the start. they had ample opportunities to kill me. it can't be Red Link. but whoever the murderer killed was the sheriff, and i needed to complete the quest - picking up the sheriff tombstone grants me the bow.

so i run, trying to find it, and i turn the corner.

there Red Link was, standing at the end of the hall, by the tombstone, with a sword in hand. i froze. i was so upset - not Red Link! not my dear companion! i was so sure that was it.

but i walked forward anyway, thinking that maybe if i dodged around them, grabbed the bow, and turned and shot fast enough, i could get them. the thought was actually distressing! Red Link didn't put the sword away. they watched me slowly approach. we stood on either side of the tombstone, and i expected Red Link to cut me down. i was well within reach of their sword.

Red Link calmly, still looking at me, moved to the side and past me. i panicked and grabbed the bow, ran to the corner, turned and drew - Red Link was already at the other end of the hall, running away. i didn't want to shoot, but i needed the kill - who knows when i'd get an opportunity to complete the quest again. it's a tough one.

i missed, thank fuck, but man. i was in shock. i thought i was a goner.

then, after the game where awards are given - the murderer, who killed them, who collected the most coins - i went up to Red Link and crouched. they crouched back.

then they left the game.

#IM STILL WAILING #you know those movies/shows where a character befriends a dangerous wild animal / monster #and later the monster goes on a killing spree #but then it stops before killing the character that was kind to it. and spares them.... yeah.... this felt like that #it felt wild as fuck #ive never had that happen... kindness is real.... #red link if you're out there. i'll think of you fondly and often #the joy turned disbelief turned betrayal turned shock turned bittersweet euphoria #i knew that id never see them again... i was right... #but yes. this felt Important. i needed to share!!! #i was very emotional!! as my buddies can attest!!! #i talked about it until we said Goodnight! #absolutely unprompted #the relief i felt when my arrow missed... #i wished them luck in my head! even though i knew they'd probably die! #what would have happened if they hadnt i Wonder #what if i was the last one alive. would Red Link have killed me then? questions that will never be answered... #oh yes also one of my friends was also there for the Hallway Showdown and was spared #but! i will be honest! i tunnel visioned so hard that the entire world came down to me. that tombstone. and my dearest Red Link.

Tommyinnit x Streamer!reader

MCC on a different team than Tommy doesn’t go to plan

A/N: This is my first fic for Tommy/mcyt so I hope you like it (and please request for them)

Warnings: Language (lots of it)

For this MCC, you and Tommy were on seperate teams. Scott decided that since you two went public with your relationship, he didn’t want anyone to have to deal with both of you on one team so he split you up. You two had been on the same team in the past so neither of you were upset at not being together for the tournament.

You were on Yellow Yaks with Wilbur, Phil, and Shelby and you guys were third with only two more games left. If your team did well enough, you could make it to the top two and play in Dodgebolt. 

“I think it might be hole in the wall,” Phil said as you all watched the chickens move about the voting arena.

“Nooo,” you whined, “I want to get to the other side. It’s more fun.”

“But we’re better at hole in the wall,” Phil countered, “It’ll put us in a better lead for the last game.”

“Or, we can save it for the last game and pop off,” you suggested. 

You watched as the in-game chat started counting the chickens and then the chosen game flashed up on the screen, “Yes!” you yelled, startling everyone, “Okay okay, just remember on the building ones to build up high first and then bridge. You’re less likely to get knocked off that way.”

You were halfway done with the game and you were sitting in the top ten. The past three rounds, you had gotten knocked off and your chat had informed you that it had been Tommy each time.

“Chat, does he have it out for me or what?” you asked, reading through all the messages saying it was Tommy who kept knocking you off, “Listen, we had an agreement we wouldn’t go easy on each other but I didn’t think I would have to tell him to not fucking target me. If he does it again, I’ll kill him.”

You umnuted on Discord and explained to your team what was happening, “Tommy is being a dick,” you said, “He keeps knocking me off. Chat is saying he’s purposely targeting me.”

Phil laughed at your complaint, “I’m not surprised.”

“Philza Minecraft. He is the reason we are losing. You should be more upset,” you said, pouting.

“Y/s/n just punch him back,” Will said.

“You know I don’t need an excuse to do that,” you said as the next round started. It was a building one so you built a pillar and started bridging across the platforms. From the corner of your screen, you saw the familiar pixels of Tommy’s skin coming closer to you.

“Oh no you don’t you bastard,” you mumbled under your breath. You tried to move away from him but it was too late. You tried to fight him off once he got close but it didn’t work. You got knocked off into the void.

“Tommyinnit you fucking dickhead prick!” you screamed, way louder than you anticipated, “I know where you fucking live and I will fucking murder you.”

“Everything okay over there?” Phil asked in the moment of silence that followed your rant.

“Does it sound like everything is okay? No Tommy fucking hit me off again. I need to go yell at him. I swear to god I’m going to commit murder or arson or both.”

You managed to keep your cool for the rest of the two rounds but as soon as you got back to the main lobby, you grabbed your phone and called Tommy.

“Tommy fucking innit. What the fuck? You kept hitting me off. Each round. Six times in a row. What the fuck!” you screamed through the phone.

Tommy had to quickly mute on discord so no one else on his team heard your angry rant. He tried hard not to laugh as you were yelling but he let a chuckle slip.

“Are you laughing at me?” you asked him.

“Well technically yes but also no,” he said, trying to cover himself.

“What does that mean?”

He changed subjects, trying to get the heat off of him, “Are you really upset with me over the game?”

“Not really but don’t you dare target me again like that,” you threatened, “Or I’ll make you come to America to visit. I won’t come to Brighton anymore.”

“Okay okay I won’t,” he said, holding his hands up in defense.

“And you also have to win me a stuffed animal from the arcade,” you added.

“Fine,” he replied, “I’m sorry.”

“You better be,” you grumbled, saying goodbye before hanging up on him, “I’ll murder him chat,” you said to your viewers, “Unless he does win me that stuffed sloth I wanted. Then he’s forgiven.”

Of course, everyone knew you weren’t actually that mad at him and you were just overreacting for the content. Yours and Tommy’s fans know that you wouldn’t let a video game competition break you up or cause an argument.

In the end, your team finished third behind Purple Pandas and Tommy’s team, the Red Rabbits. For Dodgebolt, you immediately got the red foam finger and cheered for his team.

His team didn’t end up winning so you had to take the chance to bully him a little on Twitter before you two called and you made sure to tell him how great he did and how proud of him you were, which he returned.

KakuriPierrot (Admin)

- Prefers either Uri or Pierrot as a nickname

- Admin of the Server and father figure to everyone

- The kind of guy who would pull up to a McDonald's drive thru and order himself a single black coffee

- But then he'd loop back and let the kids order what they want because he'd feel guilty

- Exceptional redstoner, exceptional builder, disaster when playing survival on his own

- He's decent at PVP though

- Very protective of server members, to the point where he can be a bit overbearing (he means well though)

- Has a poker face but when the emotions hit him, he is an open book

- He is the calm and sensible type but can also be an airhead at times

Interrorgator

- Prefers to be called Gator as a nickname

- Redstone expert of the server

- They are the equivalent of DocM77 when it comes to both redstone and breaking Minecraft as a whole

- Very dramatic in personality and are kind of a smartass at times

- Godly in redstone, decent in building, decent in Survival (whether on his own or in multiplayer) and they're good at PVP, mainly one on one

- The kind of person who complains when you ask for help but then they go above and beyond to help you with whatever issue you may have

- Undeniably soft for their friends and has no shame when admitting it

- Expert Builder who makes large builds and calls it a 'starter base' (Just imagine Boatem Scar or Pearl, that's the kind of builder she is)

- He is homeless and doesn't seem too eager to make his own base so he'll bunk with whoever is available

- He will pay you back with anything you'd like within the mines or what he obtained from his constant wanderings

- Metals like iron, copper or gold? You'll find a chest in your kitchen that filled with stacks of the raw metals. Need Diamonds or Emeralds? He pops into your line of sight, hands several Diamonds or Emeralds to you before he disappears again

- He is just gone almost the entire time he's on the server, often disappearing for days or weeks before reappearing again without warning

- The ghost of the server

- An expert in PvP, whether one on one or by group, bad redstoner, Decent Builder (or so he claims) and an amazing Survivalist, both in solo and multiplayer worlds

Realmvanquish

- Prefers Vanny or just Van as a nickname

- Explorer and Builder, also the kind who makes big builds and claims it to be her starter base but then she never makes another build ever again

- Disappears frequently to explore but will stick around to make farms and such

- She also goes out of her way to 'beautify' the area around other people's builds (with permission, of course)

- Has a villager farm set up for most of her materials as well as a few autofarms for things she can't get through villagers

- Is not afraid to get her hands dirty and will work hard as long as the end goal is worth it, or if it's hilarious enough, really depends on the mood

- Decent Redstoner, Pro Builder but is just very lazy, Decent Survivalist and a Decent PVPer, mainly in groups but can hold her own if one on one

- Prefers to use long ranged weapons like crossbows, bows and tridents rather than close ranged weapons

Mind_Ctrl

- Prefers Mind or Cat as a nickname

- An all rounder and a casual player, almost never makes any major projects but is more than happy to join other projects

- Is mostly here to vibe and shall vibe alongside you

- Has like three to five dogs and would often take them with them whenever they go somewhere that's bound to have mobs

- The resident prankster, will target anyone and everyone but if his pranks cause any damage, don't worry! They'll help out with the cleaning process and will replace anything lost.... Most of the time at least..

- Good Builder, Good Redstoner and amazing Survivalist. He can survive just about anywhere as long as he has a tree and some access to water

- Decent PvPer who prefers to set up traps instead of doing face to face confrontations

PeppermintP

- Prefers Pepper or Pat as a nickname, he'd still respond if you call him just about anything as long as it's from his original gamer tag

- PVP expert and bloodthirsty psycho who mastered redstone for the sake of causing even more conflict via traps

- Nothing stays alive when he's within the vicinity with the exception if his servermates make it clear that he can't kill them

- Goes hunting for Woodland mansions a lot for the loot so they're stacked when it comes to Notch Apples or Totems

- He is THE Scary Dog Privilege™

- Feral and will snap at anyone who approaches him but is as sweet as pie with their servermates

- Pro PVPer, Pro Redstoner (mostly for traps and such), Pro Survivalist, Decent Builder

- They have mastered the use of any weapon and miscellaneous items that can kill if used right

- Very fond of TNT Traps and will use it at any time he can

It is hard to describe what kind of "stupid" Ilija really is. But I think this (REAL) event from 1991 explains it really well: First day the war begins, he kidnaps Bosnia's boss at the airport, because he gets too excited to fight his first war ever. Then EU people come, surround him, and he simply lets him go… no ransom or whatever… just… jesus christ

Snorts cedevita

Blind patriot who will probably grow out of it. His strong "politically incorrect" beliefs are a revolt against his parents. He tends to over do it and be against literally anything that his parents stand for. Something like:

Enis: These grapes are so good. I love grapes. Ilija: I will sacrifice my entire life in order to destroy every grape plant on this planet.

Hates his parents, but Idriza is definitely not as bad as Enis. Enis doesn't even know how old is he, but he still tries.

He hits his dad. His dad beats him back with a belt or with a slipper.

"Independence? Yeah you know I may not be on the map but structure-wise I'm basically a real country. I have these two big trading partners, too. No, not like China or Germany, I trade CS go skins."

He hasn't got a lot of friends. He pushes normal people away with his obsessions - one for warfare, other one for Serbia.

I wouldn't say he is as nationalistic to push away any Bosniak friends. But when I look at their politics… He might. (The life of a nationalist is bound to contain some level of isolation. Problems of closed social circles: one can be safe in them, but then terribly sensitive to the open world)

Has shown his Minecraft world to Idriza. It was titled "Markale 1994". Since then Idriza has stopped taking interest in Ilija's free time.

Has successfully nicked hand grenades from his dad many times before. He keeps them under his bed "for emergencies".

There is a strict firearm, fireworks, explosive or ANYTHING that makes an explosive sound/may harm someone/may scare someone prohibition for him. The clerks don't sell none of these to him in request of Enis.

Especially BANG SNAPS. He keeps getting them from somewhere and startling his parents all the time. Enis searches him and his room repeatedly but never finds anything.

Also those mini dynamite sticks (noisemaker firework) you light up and throw at someone. (I used both of these back in the day they were awesome)

If you've seen Trailer park boys: remember when Trinity gets addicted to cigarettes because her dad smokes next to her so often? Then she gets caught smoking cigs, at like, 9 years old. Ricky (her dad) then decides to quit smoking with her and they wear the nicotine patches together and stuff and it's just so cute and definitely a thing that would happen with Enis and Ilija.

Nicotine HC: Idriza HATES the nicotine smell. Ilija is 16, he is allowed to smoke, but he doesn't - just because Enis does and he doesn't want to be like him.

RELATIONS

Literally no one in the whole world has ever heard of him or know who he is, but he thinks everyone does know him and that they think he is "cool and badass".

He loves Russia but Russia treats him like a flea (he has no idea who he is).

Serbia tries to lie himself into thinking Srpska is just a product of Alcohol Withdrawal Delirium. Srpska is not real and only appears when he has been sober for too long.

Herzegovina cares for him (as in feeds, dresses) but is otherwise cold and bland to him. Enis balances that out, bringing some fatherly fun in, some sleaze.

Most definitely a seljacina (villager mindset). There is no way he can compete with the level of Belgrade for example, he embarrasses himself often.

I know everyone despises Srpska and thinks he is an idiot, but I think every self-respecting yugotalia fan should always remember that it was none other than HIS army that accomplished the longest siege of a capital city in the history of modern warfare.

So when he might be really flawed, he has a lot of potential when he puts his mind into it. He has "ancient warrior" in his genes. It's just that his environment doesn't let him to fully flourish.

He was surprisingly cool back in the day, for example during Ottoman Empire and AHE, he had important strategic hubs and a couple of military fortifications (of same importance).

Keep in mind his capital is the 2nd largest city in Bosnia, not Herzegovina's.

Under his moron facade he is actually capable of achieving great things, proving he takes some great traits after his real dad. Unfortunately, though, bad traits tend to dominate over them...

Whenever he gets in a fight with Enis he whips out that fact, or just shouts random, made-up things and presumptions containing words like mujahideen or jihadist.

A/N: I’m literally so excited to post this I love him so much just. Look at him. Also might be kinda dry bc I haven’t watched the movie in a while but oh well. Not pandemic specific, this could also be read as you two just finding new hobbies. Switching between using his birth name and “American” name bc yannow I feel like it’s important to acknowledge both.

Something you and your boyfriend had noticed in the recent years was that time had a unique way of passing

So fast, but simultaneously dragging on

Very early on you noticed you needed some new hobbies

In reality, it took you and Shaun a week to get burnt out on nearly every video game you owned

Smash Bros? Got repetitive. Animal Crossing? Creator block. Minecraft? After you threatened to break the Xbox (you were blown up by a creeper after just finding diamonds), he decided it was best to hide the controls.

Which led to you sitting in the kitchen in the middle of the night, eating some leftover pizza

“What do we do now?”

“Beats me.”

Cue the brainstorming session

The two of you paced around the small apartment, trying to think of new things to try

Let me get this straight though: Shang-Chi can absolutely cook. The issue is more of whether he wants to or not.

To say it shocked you was an understatement

He ended up taking the food to the park and having a bit of a picnic after stretching. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect; the temperature was amazing, with the hint of a breeze

No matter how mundane the rest of the world seemed, nature remained untouched. Flowers were blooming, leaves in all shades of green, and the wildlife positively buzzing

Yoga was tranquil and relaxing — until the breeze picked up too much and made you lose your balance

The sight of Shaun with his hand out had you at a loss for words. “Wow, falling for me that hard?”

You could’ve stayed in that moment forever. It was quiet in the park, but even if it wasn’t, that wouldn’t have mattered. The lush green leaves danced in the background almost pointing you towards the face of your beloved.

For the first time in ages, he just looked… peaceful. Looking at you had earned that reaction.

Soft beams of light danced over your skin, highlighting the color and (freckles/imperfections/etc). The color of your eyes a brightened hue but still full of life — a great contrast to how everything felt lately.

The moment felt gentle, and fragile. Like something that could shatter if you moved on too quickly. Everything around you began to blur until it dissipated completely, leaving the two of you in the pure white energy.

His face leaned in closer, enough for you to practically feel his smile.

“I think we should really hop on the ‘plant gay’ bandwagon, don’t you think?”

“Shang-Chi, you’re lucky I love you. Because you just completely butchered our moment.”

He was right, though. Afterwards, your shared space became full with different plants. All colors, shapes, and shades.

ooooh And the World Says looks like such a cool premise!

OHHHH thank uuuuuu!! Admittedly this is the concept I'm most excited for :'D the current summary I have for it is "In which Foolish is almost a god and Dream is the world. They meet somewhere in the middle." which. not to toot my own horn but ohhh I love the phrasing something abt it is very satisfying lol.

but yeah the whole premise came from me wanting to use Minecraft mechanics and game limitations as a core part of the story. This idea that all of the divine characters know that their world is made of code is just ugh, so juicy to me. C!Foolish essentially being a tool made to fix glitches and crashes is just a fun idea to me. fun fact: I was inspired by "How to Save the World" by talkingsoup, which is a really clever undertale fanfiction that uses game mechanics as a core plot device.

"No," Death's voice is hard, immovable, "the world's lifespan and his own, they're connected. Intrinsically tied together. One cannot exist without the other. Dream cannot breathe air without the server running, and the server cannot run without Dream breathing. Do you really think it was just a coincidence that the server ended at the same time Dream's last life did?"

Death shook her head, "To move him to a different save file would do more than kill him, it would erase him completely."

"That's-" He bites back his frustration, irritation blooming inside his chest, "I can't just leave him."

Saw a vid about supersons and Minecraft and it was so stupid and wrong what in the world makes you think Damian would be killing everything even in peaceful mode like wtf. Anyways here are some TRUE SUPERSONS MINECRAFT FACTS NOT CLICKBAIT 100% REAL (plus Colin bc he’s my son now)

-They argue about what mode they should be in: Damian argued for hard mode bc they’re built like that and jon agreed but he just wanted to fight smh. Colin was the only with common sense bc he knows they’ve never played Minecraft before and starting in hard mode would not only be difficult but boring if they won. They go normal

- Jon is the miner, Colin gathers the food, Damian builds the house

-Damian gets lost because he refuses to pull up coordinates and his memory SHOULD help him but he is so entirely laser focused on collecting materials that by the time he’s done he doesn’t even remember what biome he just came from 💀

- Damian goes above and beyond for the house ok; he will only mine for that, and Jon hates it bc Damian finds veins of like 8 diamonds and will only take enough for his pickaxe and axe. He will NOT share bc he needs a backup

-Jon spends DAYS in cave systems and he’s actually much better at finding mineshafts than anybody should be. He finds dungeons and dies immediately bc he turns the player around to inform Colin and Damian as if they’re all physically there

-Colin thinks it’s fair to keep inventory or go creative to get special loot back, Jon thinks it’s not. Damian didn’t care until he realized turning creative or cheats on means no achievements. The option is never considered again.

-Colin kills the sheep for the beds and a few chickens then immediately begins to set up the most intricate and complicated farm you’ve ever seen. Yes he’s a redstone guy. Understands it deeply in a way Damian and Jon are too scared to ask about. They always mine any redstone they see for him.

-Colin likes Diamond the most, Damian Iron, and Jon Gold (Damian tells him he’s stupid bc it provides 0 protection and Jon is like “but I look so good tho” and Colin calls him tacky

- Love villages and villagers and trading all of them

-Damian tames an iron golem. Nobody knows how and an investigation should be launched bc that’s not a game mechanic but whenever anyone asks Damian shrugs and the other two say “it could sense his gentle nature :3”

-They never actually defeat the Ender Dragon whenever it gets too close to that they find an excuse to create a new world and start all over bc they don’t rlly wanna finish it (they say they’re saving that achievement for a special occasion)

-Jon is Steve, Damian is Alex, Colin has a new skin everyweek.

-They find servers based off of cities and will pretend to be the cities heroes 😭

-Got kicked out of the Gotham server for calling their portrayal of spoiler inaccurate and refusing to change their skins (they were the birds of prey)

-Damián is currently building a whole BludHaven since there wasn’t one available. Hes going to leave it open where Dick can see so he doesn’t have to do something gross and mushy like go up and tell him about it

-Damian’s aim is TRASH in game and he can’t survive a single night. Not bc he can’t figure it out he just wants to have fun man he does not care about these mobs; if the house is already built and he’s just sprucing up the farm he will get killed over and over he doesn’t care

-try to go to bed at night but Jon is in the caves and forgot his bed, Colin died and lost all his shit before setting spawn so he has to find them now, and Damian doesn’t really feel like it bc Patricia (the chicken) is far more Interesting than a bed right now.

-Damian’s favorite mob is the spider and his least favorite is the creeper. Colin’s least favorite is the Zombie and his favorite is the Skeleton. Jon says his favorite is the creeper but it’s actually the Enderman, his least fave is the skeleton bc they ALWAYS kill him since he refuses to make a shield.

-Colin turned too fast and thought Jon outta the corner of his eye was herobrine. They abandoned that server immediately.

-Colin’s inventory is always overflowing bc he always thinks he might need literally anything he’s ever seen. Damian WOULD be the same way but he just has an entire chest room where he hoards everything. Jon does not care he will throw away a diamond pickaxe if the endurance bar is less than half bc it ruins the aesthetic. Never has what he needs when he needs it.

-none of them like going underwater but Damian and the only one who likes the desert is Jon. The only one who will go into the nether first is Colin (as in the other two will only go after Colin has torches, pathways, any signs of life in there. Matter of fact most of the time they refuse to go unless Colin’s found a fortress and made it easily accessible). They line up anything they need to get from these areas so they’re all branched off at the same time.

-Colin has an actual diary in game that he updates as if it’s real. Damian has one in Colins chest just in case someone else enters the server.

-Jon has 50 dogs and calls the cats too difficult and annoying to tame. Damian kills him. Colin has like 20 cats and is always begging Damian to get him more fish. Damian actually only has a few select animals as he prefers to let them roam around the yards he builds (catered to their home environments ofc.) noticeable ones include: Richard the Golem, Duke the bumblebee, Patricia the chicken and her mate Penelope, Joshua the horse, and Cassandra the parrot. (He has so many parrots guys it’s insane)

-none of them have the actual game sounds on they hate the music and it gives them all headaches. (Not projecting at all) They all listen to Lofi while playing or some shit. They have never gone a session without getting killed by a creeper at least twice.

-they tried to play hunger games once and they just got bored. Now bedwars and speedrun? That’s their shit. DO NOT play against them in hide and seek bruh they get together and start revolutions to kill the seekers they’re so annoying 😭 they’ve gotten banned so many times but they ask Barbara, and then Vic when she gets tired of it, to unban them.

That’s kinda it idk

Family bonus:

-They have one server where they don’t do much for friends and family to play. Nobody else is really all that interested in Minecraft but they see the kids playing and wanna fuck with em so 😕

-Jason’s a flower collector, he gets privileges bc he knows exactly which flowers Damian wants in front of the house and acts accordingly. Cass is this way when It comes to woods and Duke when it comes to carpets and paintings.

-Damian wants to let Dick play but he’s wary bc dick has been killed by Duke the bee so many times and his final straw was when Dick hit Richard the golem on accident and killed it instead of letting it kill him. He’s banned. Richard II was then tamed.

-Tim isnt banned but he doesn’t play bc he saw Colins redstone minecart rollercoaster thing when he was first starting and offered suggestions until Colin got fed up and chewed him out so bad he quit.

-Duke adds something new to the mansion (built by Damian and Steph who apparently has an eye for decor) everytime he goes and it always fits in seamlessly. He is the only sibling allowed on one of Damian’s servers that’s not the family one. He cherishes this. Dick could have the privilege but Damian still hasn’t forgiven him for Richard I.

-Cass doesn’t play often but when she does she LOOOOVES enchanting. She will do it for hours and get the best ones for their main armor and weapons and then really specific convoluted shit for fun. Her goal is to have one sword/chestplate/etc. for each enchantment available on item frames in the manor.

-Steph doesn’t fuck with Minecraft but she goes in to dye the sheep and change the names of everything. Damian bans her. She bribed Babs to let her back in. Damian names a cat after Barbara and snitches when Steph changes the name. Steph mentions that the cat wasn’t taken care of and was used for this purpose. They are at a standstill.

-Kon likes to blow everything up and he banned himself after he made Jon cry. He only goes into the server to fight mobs and give loot as a peace offering. Damian has forgiven him, Colin hasn’t.

- Clark and Bruce go in once and speedrun the entire game, defeat the ender dragon get every achievement etc. worst mistake bc the server is now creative friendly. There is nothing friendly about it.

-Every single person will get on Colin’s roller coaster and go “weeee!” The entire way. He’s flattered.

-The death count on that server is astronomical. Almost all of them are accidents.

01. how were you first introduced to aphmau?

My first introduction to Aphmau was (unfortunately), from her appearing in someone else's video, probably a Do Not Laugh.

02. favorite main character, side-character, ship, and villain?

I'm going to go with Minecraft Diaries for most of my answers bc that's the series I'm really fixated on. Favorite MC is Laurance, favorite side character is Castor, favorite ship is Laurance X Table, and my favorite villain is Zane (there's literally no competition he's better than everyone else)

03. which characters do you think deserve better? which characters do you think deserve less?

Laurance deserves SO MUCH BETTER! Also My Street Blaze deserves better, both of my boys were done absolutely dirty. I know this is popular opinion, but Aaron deserves less. He frequently got in the way of other characters arcs because he got so much focus in both series.

04. what are your favorite episodes/scenes?

I don't remember episodes very well, but the scene of Laurance confessing after he gets out of the Nether is permanently burned into my memory. Shortly followed by the entire scene at the end of Season 1 in the Irene Dimension, that whole sequence was just *chefs kiss*

05. favorite minor character? like barely a fraction of the fandom acknowledges them but you adore them?

I will forever die on the hill of Katelyn's brother Kasey being an absolute sweetheart who deserves the entire world. He has maybe 20 minutes of screen time in total and I would end reality for him.

06. what are your favorite and least favorite skins?

Ooh, I'm a really big fan of Nicole's skin, especially after the time skip in season 2. I think my least favorite is probably most of Aphmau's skins where she isn't wearing a dress. Her outfits just are not it.

07. best dynamic in the series? like, whenever these characters are onscreen your brain just explodes?

Me literally anytime Vincent and Laurance are on screen together. I seriously would watch an entire series of Vincent and Laurance talking about Shadow Knight stuff, love, Cadenza, Meteli, whatever they want to talk about, I want to hear it.

08. alternatively, what's a dynamic you really want to see in canon?

I'm kind of upset by the lack of friendly rivalries in the series. There was some of it in Phoenix Drop High, but I feel like most rivals in the series take themselves too seriously. I just want Blaze and Aaron to have a very goofy friendly rivalry where Blaze keeps trying to "overthrow him" and they just get into wrestling matches together.

09. personal bias aside, who do you think is the best written character and why? 

This is a hard question to answer because they're all written badly at some point or another, but I think Dante is the most consistent. Like I can't think of a scene where Dante does something and I went "Dante would never do that", which I can't say for most characters.

10. what is your ideal ending for the series?

For Minecraft Diaries, it's either the tragedy ending where Shad wins and takes over the entire overworld and everyone gets turned into shadow knights, or Laurance's rebellion actually works and he's able to successfully quell the calling and go back to the life he deserves to have with Garroth. For My Street it's ending with Season 2 because My Street peaked at Season 2, I don't know why they bothered to make more of it. (Season 3 is fine I just really like Season 2 agsgfhfh)

11. do you have a rewrite, character reinterpretations/redesigns, or any aus? if so, is there anything you'd like to talk about or snippets you want to share? 

Hooo boy do I! It's not that big of a deal, it's only OVER 300k WORDS (which is double the length of the fucking Iliad). The main idea is essentially me writing Minecraft Diaries but I inserted a single OC just to see how much she would shake up the series and oh my Irene does she shake up the series. My favorite thing she does is that she's a catfolk that's from Tu'la, so Tu'la, Mephina, and the lore around those subjects gets focus from early on in the story instead of showing up out of nowhere in Season 2 with little consequence.

I keep wanting to share this story but I'm still very bad and awkward about sharing OC stuff so like... I don't. (Please tell me if you would be into reading bits of it I need validation)

12. which roleplay, excluding minecraft diaries and mystreet, is your favorite? (my inner demons, mod mod world, meteora valley, etc.)

Definitely My Inner Demons. It's a bunch of silly self-indulgent nonsense that's incredibly padded and infuriates me sometimes, but Leif is one of the best characters to ever exist and MID is better than almost everything Aphmau has written for that reason alone.

13. have your sentiments towards any characters/ships changed over time? (for instance, you didn't care for them at all but now you're obsessed with them, or you used to love them but it's faded over time.)

I remember really liking Aarmau as a kid, but my mood on that ship has definitely soured over time. However, my love for Garrance and literally any other gay ship in this series has only grown. Shout out to the ship of Nana and Katelyn, I literally adore it so much.

14. if you could choose an opening and ending theme for the series, what would it be?

Uhm... I don't actually know. Like, I'm tempted to say Faster Car really was the perfect intro for My Street, especially in Season 2 (the best season), and MCD shouldn't really have an intro if you ask me. As for ending themes, always the classic Call Me Baby by HeatlyBros, that ending just holds such a vibe that I can't really explain but it captures the sound of Aphmau series very well.

15. alternatively, if you could choose a theme song/ost for your favorite character, what would it be?

MCD Laurance is literally Curses by The Crane Wives, followed shortly by The Moon Will Sing also by The Crane Wives.

16. favorite blogs, artists, and writers?

Ashdgfdf I've been here for like a week and a half and I don't know anyone's names I just think everyone here is neat. Shout out to @laurencezvahlslefteyebrow though, their Laurance's Choice rewrite hurt me.

17. any headcanons you're attached to?

In an aphverse server I'm in we discussed the headcanon of Shadow Knights having doll like qualities to them (like Gene having a cracked porcelain doll face, or Laurance sometimes acting like a lifeless doll when he spaces out for too long) and literally every time I think about that headcanon I make it progressively worse in the best way possible. I'll probably make a full post about it at some point because it's living in my head rent free.

18. is there anything about the fandom you dislike?

A lot of my issues with the fandom is just lingering trauma from those truly feral early days when I was active back in the mid to late twenty tens. Nowadays I think my only complaint is that I don't see enough Blaze content. We need more Blaze content.

19. which character would you like to cosplay as?

Travis probably. Either that or Blaze.

20. you can only change one plotline in the entire canon—what would it be and how would you alter it?

I would completely alter how Aaron was handled in Diaries. I truly think he had so much potential, but his character got boiled down to just being Aph's love interest. I would have him have more interactions with characters that aren't Aph, showing new fascets of his personality, such as seeing him give advice to Cadenza about being a young Lord, or training Travis in combat and lecturing him about how to properly utilize his different strengths and weaknesses, showing how observant and calculated Aaron is.

And also I would completely rewrite Season 2 Episode 95 (which I've done twice now)

21. have you ever had a crush on any of the characters? (and do you still have one?)

...I've had... A few... (looks at like literally almost the entire cast of MCD and MID) But I have totally moved on from all of those and I definitely don't daydream about any of them, especially Laurance or Blaze anymore. I am. Normal.

22. who's the character that you most identify with and why?

Blaze because I too am a pansexual, polyamorous, head-empty stoner who really likes Garroth's thighs and thinks Dottie is cute.

23. you get to design an official aphmau game! assuming money or time wasn't an issue, what would that look like? (for example, a visual novel, TTRPG, fighting game, etc.)

I would LOVE to make an MCD themed TTRPG!! Like, I might actually make one where you can drop any of your characters into a sandbox-ish version of the world and get to explore Ru'aun and the lore of the Relics, or the political warfare of the world, or maybe you just commit war crimes idk. I just think it'd be fun.

24. if you could design your own line of merch, assuming money or time wasn't an issue, what would you choose?

An entire line of plushies of the characters in a similar vibe to what Youtooz plushies look like. Variations for characters who exist in both universes, and if they're a Shadow Knight, Relic holder, demon or have any other alternate forms they also get plushies of these forms. Imagine a little chibi angry SK Laurance I would literally cry

25. aphmau got a cafe collaboration! what food/drink do you think your favorite characters would be?

Blaze is like a very caffeinated energy drink that doesn't look like it should be real, Garroth is a very classic kind of iced latte with the faint taste of lavender, Laurance is a sugary coffee drink that tastes like you melted vanilla ice cream into a hot cup of coffee, Travis is also a brightly colored energy drink but specifically like a frozen slushie version of said drink.

26. you're tasked with writing an official side story/spin-off roleplay (like void paradox, mermaid tale, upside-down story, etc), what would that look like?

My Street but instead of giving it a plot related to Diaries, it's really just a goofy slice of life series and each mini-arc focuses on different characters living their lives from their perspective, probably starting around Season 3. Just My Street but it doesn't take itself seriously and also everyone is gay.

27. what's something really interesting that you wished canon decided to explore more? alternatively, what's something interesting that you wished the fandom acknowledged more?

I really wish that Diaries focused more on the agony of relic holders and how it effects their lives in different ways. Like, where's the existential crisis because you're starting to lose your sense of self as you bond with the relic and become more and more like its previous holder instead of yourself? As for the fandom, I wish we acknowledged Blaze more.

28. if you could ask jess one question about the series and receive a direct answer, what would it be? 

What the actual fuck were you thinking while writing, recording, editing, and publishing Minecraft Diaries Season 2 Episode 95?

MCC30 Red Rabbits Skins!

Is MCC less than 24 hours from now? Why yes, yes it is. I am once again cutting things quite close. I’m pretty happy with how these turned out though, so it works out.

If this is the first post you’re seeing of mine, hi! I have made a lot of CaptainSparklez’ team’s skins, ever since MCC14 (links: MCC15, MCC16, MCC17, MCC18, MCC19, MCC21, MCC22, MCC23, MCC24, MCC25, MCC28). On occasion I’ve also made skins for other teams, such as the Red Rabbits of MCC Rising. Feel free to share this, just tag this post so that it links back to me. Thank you! Ok, more below the cut.

I’m using my reddit username as the signature, don’t worry I’m not stealing from anyone.

I did the math. As of this post I have made 65 MCC skins (although one of them was a barely different variant so it’s more like 64). If that sounds like a ridiculous number of minecraft skins, imagine how I feel. Of those skins, fourteen are of CaptainSparklez. Oh and as if this is the reverse of MCC28, I have not made skins for any of these players except for CaptainSparklez. 

Look I tried very hard to avoid overalls. I know that both of the Captains just had skins with overalls thanks to the minions from last MCC. Unfortunately it’s a really cute look for the Red Rabbits. I was loosely inspired by Technoblade’s bunny skin from Origin SMP. The rabbits aren’t that different from the MCCR rabbits I made. A little smaller, as I often do for iterations. There’s also a carrot on the front because rabbits. 

No shading again this time. But I actually don’t think these skins look bad without it. Why is it half the time I don’t do any shading and they still look good? Well, anyways, time for individual breakdowns.

Starting with Hannahxxrose. Hopefully I’m getting the name right. I wanted to keep the roses. However I actually had to add roses on the other shoulder because it was looking unbalanced with so many roses on the one and not the other. Like most long haired skins, I had to shorten the hair to show off the rabbit on the back and the carrot on the front. I actually had to lengthen the sleeves to make them more visible under the roses.

Next up, Sapnap. This skin was very hard because I wanted to add something that was visually similar to the original skin (as I often do, see the roses above). But Sapnap’s skin is actually pretty simple. I ended up settling on longer sleeves. I think it works pretty well. Oh and I made the bandanna red of course.

Like Hannahxxrose, I also had to shorten CaptainPuffy’s hair. I also recolored the hat to be red. I did keep the little ornaments as gold because I thought the accent looked nice. And I knew form the start that CaptainPuffy had to keep the epaulets. Actually like Hannahxxrose I had to length the sleeves here as well. Just poor planning on my end I guess.

And finally CaptainSparklez. I had to add the coat again. It’s just a signature CaptainSparklez look, really. I had a bit of fun with rounded coat sleeves this time. And I shortened it again. The hardest part was deciding what color to make the coat. A darker red would’ve looked nice but the coat needed to match the rest of the team. Hopefully it’s not too pink. Oh and two tone glasses because that’s fun.

1.) What’s your favourite sims death?

honestly, the classic, putting a sim in a pool and then taking out the ladder. theres no common sense to the action it's just genuinely so funny.

2.) Alpha CC or Maxis Match? 

technically im maxis mix, but i tend to lean very hard to maxis match clothing.

3.) Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?

no not really. if i want them to loose weight i'll have them work out

4.) Do you use move objects?

if you dont use moveobjects, i think legally we can consider you clinically insane.

this is so hard... ummmmm, probably like better build buy. i spend a good amount of time in build mode and use debug/live edit objects a ton when i build, so it's pretty useful.

i think it was get to work, i even bought it in a physical case thingy and i still have it lying around somewhere. (as well as seasons.)

hmmmmmm i dunno if this is a take that's been more common these last few months or if it's just a few posts that got too popular, but i've been seeing a lot of fans who seem to enjoy... hating the dream smp? i've seen SO much stuff along the lines of "can this just end so i can stop watching it"/"x character is the only redeemable thing left"/"i don't know why i'm still here"/LOTS of writing crit that is more bullying than it is constructive

and!! well!!! i wanna counteract that!!! bc i think a lot of us have forgotten what makes the smp so special. like, remember the start of it? at a time in history when all popular media was tropey bad hollywood, or poorly written netflix, or capitalist ceos maximising on hollow rehashed uninspiring tales—when every piece of media on earth is censored or altered or otherwise made palatable—the dream smp was there. loud and bold and new—and so much FUN, dammit!! remember why we loved it? because it was fun! because it was a bunch of friends having fun! friends that weren't tied to a parent company, that weren't forced to write or say anything at all, and did it anyway—for fun, for love, for the joy of entertaining their viewers. it was silly and messy and dramatic and ripped from hamilton and breaking bad and everyone loved it, everyone put on the lmanberg skin and enchanted their gear and got ready for war. like yeah the dream smp is brilliant acting/portrayal/whatever, but we can get that anywhere else. what the dream smp had, and continues to have above all else, is that it's fun. you can tell the creators love doing it, even though they don't have to. it's got actual heart to it. people love watching it. i love watching it!! i love that it's messy and retconned and so clearly a mosaic of a dozen or so amateur writers trying to do the best they can!! i love how hard they try to make it good—seeking out inspo from fan designs, working with people outside of the cast, coming up with things they find interesting or new. and i j—the dream smp above all else to me is fun. and a lot of people seem to have lost that. it shouldnt be painful for you to watch, yknow? it shouldn't piss you off so much that you're desperate for it to end. this is a story that sprung up in the middle of some of the most dreadful events any of us ever experienced—and when it did, it made quarantine something worth remembering. and i'll always cherish that. ofc people are allowed to feel what they want to feel, but. i think we all sometimes need to remember that this silly minecraft roleplay is here to be the weird silly lovely messed up thing it is, yknow? i think we need to love it for its messiness again. i think we need to remember to have fun

hi bee, long time no see, I promise I didn't vanish just life happened ya know. fair warning though I am really tired rn so anything I type here may not make sense. anyways, finally got around to reading chapter 24 and the amount of excitement I felt when I read 'blue sweatshirt' and instantly knew it was a Connor cameo lol he fits so well as club owner. and oh boy do I not trust eret for almost no reason other than it is eret and allyships with her always last as well as styrofoam plates in a microwave and just the general off vibes they give off (possibly related to the first part who knows). also, love the fact that Tommy simply forgot that he drugged wilbur and then made him take surprise flight lessons, that's just generally really funny at least to me. sidenote, I really enjoy the ways that you work cybernetics into the characters in a way that keeps everyone human-looking but also resembling their minecraft skins, it's really smart and seemless. ok I think that's all for right now imma go lay down now :]

when was the last time you cried? i think it was, i finally watched into the spiderverse for the first time like two months ago seeing all the hype abt the sequel, and when the big sad emotional climax moment happened, the one during the big fight, i was crying, not silent leaking eyes maybe sniffling a bit, like full on open mouthed sobbing. shit just hit me rly hard, that movie's so good

what sports do you play/have you played? netball, softball, cricket, bit of tag rugby, loads of rounders, street hockey was my fav out fo em i was pretty ok at defending (all of these r from when i was still in p.e. classes in high school idk if that counts but its what i got)

how tall are you? last i checked 165cm (like 5,5 in the other measures i think)

favorite subject in school? hmm. probably either art or english. though i only rly got an appreciation for english when i did this additional gifted kid project thingy and rather than just literally tell us an interpretation of a text to memorise for an exam the teachers gave us a bunch of analytical lenses to choose from to analyse a text and i was like "yo wait interpreting meanings from the text is kinda fun when you havent got bitches in your ear telling you 'ok so this is exactly what the author meant and you just need to memorise that and write it in the test'"

dream job? i honestly have no idea. i wouldve said author once but i enjoy doing it for fun, i dont think id be able to make smth publishable and if i somehow did i feel like itd ruin it. if i had some kind of like repetetive but simple task and i just had to do it over and over, maybe listen to music or a podcast or smth in one ear i feel like so long as i earnt a decent amount id be cool with it. i am a simple little guy my dreams amount to 'eh id like to do some cool stuff :]'

i’ve had a thought that perhaps a chair that has a sculk sensor as the seat in minecraft would be epic 😅

Concept time

I'm gonna use lee dream here because god he's just fun to write. If we’re thinking sculk I imagine in this specific scenario or concept I’m thinking up the dteam were just messing around together and trying out different build’s with the newly discovered biom (new update) Sapnap thinks it’d be funny and even possibly comfy to sit on these weird little sculk things.

Anyways Dream wants to try out this cute little seat/furniture thing and sits back into it. Just the sound of him sitting down causes the sculk to activate and all of the sudden his entire upper torso is now absolutely being wracked with ticklish electric currents. But the sculk is so soft, and he can feel him self sinking down into the material making it hard to get up.

The feeling itself is reminiscent of a pulsing heartbeat, kind of like how you can sometimes feel your pulse when something is throbbing in pain. And it attacks you nerves directly, meaning its not like you can feel anything physical on your skin, just the buzzing vibrations.

Dream just like immediately tenses up and begins cackling while Sapnap and George look on in pure confusion. The feeling is so sudden and intense that it takes him maybe 3 solid seconds to realize it tickles. His brain is just so confused and his body is just reacting asjdfhlaksdhf. Finally he finds him self melting into the sensation, not even having realized before that he enjoys the feeling of being tickled. He starts complaining through his laughter how bad it tickles and thats when his friends finally figures out what the hell is happening.
