This is how I'm able to play the game with just Astarion and my Durge. I start the conversation, he hides. When combat starts he's able to shoot safely.

(Made a third account on my switch to replay BotW, cause one’s my main, the other is for charting the course of the fanfic, and I’m still coughing up a storm from my asthma attack so I feel awful- not to mention all the mom stress, though she’s doing a lot better today which is great- and I just wanna play a relaxing game that I most likely won’t talk during except to go, “Link, no-!” When he runs out of stamina and falls off a cliff.)

I know people make posts about "I think Tumblr is giving me a skewed idea of what Armored Core 6 is about" with all the shitposts about Walter and Ayre and the eroticism of mecha and transhumanism but you have to understand that the game is actually like that. You get far enough in and you get to have a simulated mecha duel with your telepathic girlfriend that is framed like a sex scene. There's no exaggeration.

The evolution of Astarion's opinion of Jaheria.

When you first enter her house:

You know, I never dreamed our noble Jaheria would be such a terrible, terrible mother.

It's nice to see heroes as awful as the rest of us.

Then you find the Scroll of Timeless Body that promised immortality, and how Jaheria has been tempted to use it so she could continue fighting (in her view, living):

Immortality is only as good as the life you are living. An eternity of luxury sounds a lot better than an eternity of struggle.

I'd have thought time would dull either, but I suppose I should know better just to argue with an immortal.

And then, after Jaheria leaves the scroll to continue her work with you:

Jaheria has steel in her, I'll say that. It's not easy to walk away from immortality.

Most people would have held on to that scroll for as long as they could bear to. And probably a century or two longer than that.

So all this makes me consider: Does Astarion regret his choice to become immortal? Perhaps definitely while he is a spawn, but what about as the game progresses? At the end as a free spawn? At the end as an ascendant?

I'm not sure yet myself.

In the middle of my Golden Deer playthrough and Ashe and Felix’s B-Support is so wholesome I’mma cry. Holy frick.

Glenn used to read Felix stories?? 🥺 That’s so cute. And so sweet. He was such a good big brother to Felix. My heart. Felix loved his brother so much and vice versa.
