Marichat shippers talk a lot of smack for being the side of the fandom making the majority of those creepy ass smut fics about literal fucking 14 year olds.

So, I think there is a fine line here, and not all smut written about fictional teens is automatically creepy. That being said, I do know a lot of old MC (and even the blue ship) smut was very clearly written from the pov of someone who wanted to self-insert into Marinette for the sole purpose of banging Chat/blue boy, which I would count that as being creepy. Just depends tbh, but yeah, I don't understand where MC is the sin ship came from bc MC has always been the silly shenanigans ship with a side of the saddest conversations you ever did see in the show ship. Like if you compare MC's first episode with Ladrien's first episode (I say episode rather than interaction bc Ladrien technically interacted in The Mime). Literally Marinette was quietly making fun of Chat the whole time behind his back in Evillustrator. Meanwhile, Ladybug looked Adrien Agreste in his fucking face after he said, "Can I put my clothes on first?" And said, "If you must. 😏😏" Bitch? Hello????

Personally I like the idea of Chat Noir being clueless in the sense that he thinks something's wrong with her when she actually starts coming on to him -- she clumsily flirts while blushing and he stares for a moment and then checks her forehead and asks if she's sick. After all he didn't even catch on to Thirstybug being so blatantly in to him in Kuro Neko, so when she's blushing around him he's just thinking like "why would Ladybug be flushed around me, there's no way she's flustered, we're best friends and we're so close that there's no way she'd be flustered around me and she's already made it painfully clear that she's not in love with me, clearly she's acting strangely because she's caught a bug (haha) and needs bed rest"
