THAT'S IT! This is a Janet Drake Defense Post
As may be obvious, I spend a lot of time reading fanfic. And there's this trend that drives me nuts, and it's villainizing Janet Drake.
I'm not gonna say she's an A+ mother. She's not. She chose her career and adventures over spending time with her child much of the time. But fandom portrays her as some rich pompous ice queen, which is never shown.
Janet Drake mostly appears in the story Tim's introduced, and in the story she dies.
So, let's start from the top: Haly's Circus.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This event is the only time we see her really interacting with Tim before her death, but it shows that at least when he was young, she was an active part of his life. She was worried about bringing Tim because it might scare him. And then rightfully scolds her husband for being sexist because Jack Drake actually IS a jerk.
Tumblr media
...I don't like the art in this comic. Or that the writer doesn't know how kids speak.
But Janet is being supportive of Tim's clear interest in Dick's performance.
And then tragedy strikes and she acts like, y'know, a mother.
Tumblr media
Her priority is getting her son and herself out of there.
Also worth noting that the Drakes sent a copy of that final photo of the Graysons TO Dick, which is how he has it at all. If both of them were stuck up pricks, would they even bother sending a photo to a grieving child performer they hardly know? I can't imagine Jack really bothering, but I don't see why Janet wouldn't.
And then, by the time she's dying, we know that Tim's parents have been away for a very long time, he never knows where they are, but they've communicated enough that he knows that they've been fighting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They're passive aggressive to say the least. This marriage is clearly not working anymore.
EDIT CUZ I REMEMBERED A THING:
It's worth noting that this is a time before smartphones. This comic was released in 1990, which was when pre-paid mobile phones had just started existing. Coverage isn't universal NOW, so back then it was even less, and Jack and Janet are archeologists (or archeologist adjacent?) so they're going to be in less developed and populated areas most of the time. It's unlikely they'd have consistent access to a functional phone that could call the states to talk to Tim regularly.
This isn't to defend their absence, because fuck that, but it's to give it some context. I don't think they were trying to ignore or abandon Tim. Communication was just not readily available and Janet seems to get wrapped up in work...and Jack's an asshole.
Also for note, Janet is probably the one sending Tim postcards in the first place. It being signed "Mom and Dad" is what makes me think that. Jack would have put himself first if he wrote it, it woulda said "Dad and Mom". That's admittedly pure speculation, BUT IT FITS SOOOOOO
My thought is if this were made modern, Janet would be sending extremely scattered texts and Tim would get next to nothing from Jack unless Janet prompted him.
END EDIT
(Fair warning, this story is a few levels of Yikes, but I'm gonna stay on topic)
Bad guy Obeah Man does...something? to the pilot, and they crash, and he has a group of people kidnap the Drakes and their assistant Jeremy.
Tumblr media
Danger really puts some things in perspective, for Janet, at least. And that continues for her. Jack is a bit delusional and in denial, thinking he has any control of the situation.
They are tied up and filmed for ransom, their assistant killed right in front of them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jack just keeps raging, but Janet is having regrets. Notice how she doesn't cry until Tim is brought up. Could be nothing, could be something.
And then she dies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her only other major appearance is when Tim is having a fever dream from the Clench and everything is kind of okay for a minute.
Tumblr media
Tim very clearly loves his mom. And we may not get a lot of characterization for her, but she's not cold or callous like people write her constantly.
And now, we finally have a little more about her as of Batman 134.
I haven't really been keeping up since the Gotham War stuff because What The Fuck Was That My Guy, but I recently saw this specific comic.
The multiverse is fucked up again, some way some how, and Bruce is lost (again) and Tim has to get him back (again). This time, Tim is going in after him. But he doesn't end up going straight to Bruce.
He goes to see an alt of his mom.
Tumblr media
Tim missed her so much that he ended up going to her before Bruce.
And her immediate reaction is to run up and hug him. Does that look like a mother who doesn't love her son?
Tumblr media
"Do you have anyone to take care of you?"
"I don't know how this happened, this miracle...but I just know, in my heart of hearts, it was to show me...that every version of my son is a good one."
Tell me again that this woman is heartless and didn't want her son, I fucking dare you.
Tumblr media
And we get more meaning to the name "Robin" and a little crumb about Tim's grandmother. As a treat.
This is all to say, please stop writing Janet Drake as a cold, heartless bitch.
Small final note though: Jack Drake is, in fact, a shitty person and a shitty father. He does still love Tim and Tim loves him AND THAT IS NOT UP FOR DEBATE, but the relationship is a mess. If either parent is actively abusive, it's 1000% Jack "smashed a TV because my son wasn't listening to me and threatened Bruce Wayne at gunpoint" Drake. Probably part of why the marriage was falling apart.
Anyway, yeah, let's retire the "Jack and Janet Drake are Bad Parents" tag and replace it with "Jack Drake is a Bad Parent" and "Janet Drake's C+ Parenting" or something.

Hey im actually curious if you can rate it from 1-10 how much is possessive and jealous enhypen members?
so i already described the way they'd act when they're jealous here, but i'll rank them and give you some additional thoughts i've gathered recently.. since that post is a few months old 🖤
mtl possessive and jealous enhypen member
this is all just according to tarot and my observations.. pls take it lighty! ᰔᩚ
Tumblr media
#1 jake 9.7/10 so.. i kept on debating between him and sunghoon. however, the reason i put jake as no 1, is because he's a lover who's likely to be more emotionally attached to his s/o. in addition to that, his mars is in nonconfrontational libra. this can make him much more passive-aggressive, he won't enjoy openly displaying his jealous nature and will struggle being direct about it. he's someone who will just hold long grudges (scorpios and their lifetime lasting grudges 🥹), find ways to pay you back by making you jealous too.. it's all a bit more dramatic and complicated for him. but it's neck on neck between him and hoon.
#2 sunghoon 9.6/10 the more i read on sunghoon, the more shocked i get about his intensity in love. he's a member who can get much more scary in relationships, since there is such a gap between him as a person and as a lover. he seems to be a big push and pull lover, someone who might give off the first impression of a pretty free-spirited and light-hearted guy.. but boom have him spot his s/o with some other male figure, the man's eyes will turn dark. his energy is pretty heavy whenever i do love readings for him, meanwhile in other readings it can be pretty comfortable.
#3 jay 9.3/10 jay is definitely incredibly possessive. he's someone who holds a lot of responsibility over keeping his loved ones safe and sound, he's very very protective and territorial. his ideal scenario is for you to never leave his side, so that there isn't even the possibility for you to get hurt or be treated badly. this deep desire to never let you go anywhere can definitely express itself in an overly possessive manner.
#4 jungwon 6/10 so, jungwon isn't really the easily jealous or overly possessive type, but he'll feel pretty let down if you manage to get him to that place. i've known a guy with very similar placements to him (aqua ☼ virgo ☾ aries ♀), and he's very easygoing and accepting in general.. however, in love he's immensely passionate. jungwon gives me that same vibe, he's someone who's quite picky and has high standards. so if you manage to date him, he'll expect you to be "all in" and just as dedicated to him as well.
#5 sunoo 5/10 sunoo is a gemini venus.. he isn't really someone who gets jealous a lot, since he usually doesn't take love or relationships seriously enough. but, i remember reading for him, and seeing that he can actually get pretty hurt about people betraying him. i think he kinda stands in his own way by seeming so blasé and unattached to people, when in reality there seems to be a deeply rooted desire to make more meaningful connections, and not just run away from them. i do believe he just needs to mature a little more in order to realize and embrace that.
#6 heeseung 4.5/10 so, heeseung is a very understanding and patient lover. he's someone who's willing, even eager, to put in the work needed to improve his relationships. even when obstacles arise, he isn't really the type to get discouraged or overly emotional about it right away. let's say he caught you texting some other guy.. rather than getting all jealous and vengeful, it's likely he'll just calmly ask you about it without jumping to any conclusions. however, one of his problems in love, can often be the high standards he has for himself. he can be prone to immediately look back on himself, in a more negative manner and blame himself for not having done enough to keep you happy enough. like every problem somehow goes back to him, in heeseung's eyes.

Rollo-senpai,
First of all, I wish you a happy birthday. May it be a good time for you to reflect and improve even further.
I remember you expressing an interest in some of the books in the library during your past visit of Night Raven College. While it is indeed impossible from your current location to borrow them -- and, more importantly, return them-- I thought it appropriate to give you something along that theme.
So, here is a collection of 11 books, telling the story of the Righteous Judge, in pristine condition. I found it to be an interesting read back when I borrowed them. It is not the edition available in the library, but hopefully it will be to your taste.
On another note, I would like to compete with you in an equestrian race someday.
Give my regards to your vice-president and your aide for me.
Riddle Rosehearts.
If anyone is wondering why Riddle specifically gifted Rollo 11 books, I believe it’s because the original written version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame was contained in 11 volumes of varying lengths. Anon was most likely making a reference to that.
Anyway <3 I love writing passive aggressive dialogue... (It's not much of a fun reaction from Rollo if Riddle isn't actually there, so I decided to change the ask from a letter format to Riddle being present and speaking to him.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"May it be a good time for you to reflect and improve even further."
Rollo pursed his lips.
Riddle was straightforward with his wishes, but there was no mistaking the underlying sternness to every syllable he strung together. After all, he had been present when the City of Flowers was burning. He and Rollo exchanged strained, knowing looks as the tower of tomes changed possession.
"Thank you for the new reading materials. I've been looking everywhere for this series," the birthday boy said, setting the books down on a nearby table.
He was just as selective with his own choice of words as Riddle was with his. The room and everything in it was glass, and he and Riddle, the occupants tiptoeing to avoid shattering any of it.
"I was not aware that you too had an appreciation for history."
"Of course I do. Learning history is vital to ensuring that we do not repeat the mistakes of our ancestors--or our own blunders," Riddle emphasized. "... I'm certainly no stranger to the concept."
Mistakes?
Rollo bristled.
He didn’t make mistakes. He was staring at one—a miscreant that had toppled his grand plans. Boiling venom rose up.
"How fortunate for you that you have access to Night Raven College's extensive archives," Rollo purred snidely. "You have ample opportunity to study its materials to reflect and improve even further."
Riddle's face collapsed into a frown. "Well! Perhaps it would do you some good to study a bit more yourself."
"Bold words coming from the man who claimed to have the equestrian abilities to outperform me--only to fall short. Now you come back challenging me a second time in hopes of regaining glory. Before making such demands of others, might I suggest partaking in the act of introspection?"
"We were neck-and-neck in dressage, and you know it!!" Riddle snapped, his cheeks heating with anger. "You were no more or less skilled than I! We stood on equal grounds. Next time, I swear to defeat you and demonstrate the strength of Night Raven College's Equestrian Club!!"
"Fufu, I would like to see you try." Rollo smirked, spreading his arms out. To the layman, it may have appeared like an invitation for a hug--but no, Riddle saw it for the taunt it truly was. "I refuse to be defeated by the likes of villains like yourself."
“Villains…!” Riddle huffed. He aggressively shook his head. “I almost feel sympathy for those in your student council. They’re blinded by whatever heavenly light they’re convinced you exude. You are nowhere close to reaching that pinnacle!”

my persona 5 ocs: the crow's nest (aka a glorified pthieves hate club)
warning!!!!!
this post contains spoilers, as well as every other post related to this one.
by clicking the "read more" button, you are agreeing to spend a good few minutes reading my walls of text and thus giving your soul to me forever and being forced to read even more text in the future.
will you sign the contract?
cool, thanks.
the crow's nest is an au of mine featuring my (very cool!) ocs about our favourite goro akechi creating and leading his own ragtag group of outcasted teenagers to help take down the phantom thieves! through a bit of online chatting and human experimentation, akechi manages to gather SIX whole allies!
let's start with the first one, who isn't actually an adolescent outsider, but akechi's cute coworker.
Tumblr media
that's right. a robot cat. with cannons built into his arms. akechi felt the same way, don't worry.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
his name is lysander. like akechi, he was made to be a hitman sneaking around in the metaverse. but unlike akechi, he was made by rich people. then he was given to even richer people to turn him into a killing machine that makes snide comments every now and then.
as you might expect from a robot, lysander is very robotic. unemotive, dedicated to his routine, unable to grasp concepts like wordplay and human phrases, starts speaking in a southern american accent when magnets are brought near him-- that's just a lysander thing, actually.
akechi's not the biggest fan of his new coworker. he's a great assassin, so akechi's just a bit jealous of him. he's not a very good conversation partner, so akechi's rather bored of him. but he's a cute kitty, and you wouldn't hurt one of those, would you?
lysander uses both weapons and a persona in the metaverse, and for the people who have absolutely no clue as to how a robot could have a persona (probably because they haven't played the earlier games. no shame to you), i have an explanation.
but i don't remember it. whoops. maybe when i make the post about the infodump about their deal in the metaverse, i'll have recalled it. for now, just trust me, there is canon lore that supports this possibility.
it's not like they're ALL robots anyway. onto our next—fleshy—ally!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is roxy okanoue. the witty and playful yet formal and intellectual girl akechi met on a forum, the leader of the Official Phantom Investigation Team (the lame OLD name), and the most passive aggressive asswad you will ever meet.
roxy puts up the front of a fun-loving, good-natured girl who's just living out her youth, but it's a little too late for that to be her truth. around her team, which she considers private time, she's much more jaded and quick to irritate. she really values her role as a leader, but any criticism towards her, genuine or not, will get a "haha, you're so funny" or a slight jab at your self-image.
her and akechi verbally agreed that they would both lead the crow's nest, but neither of them actually do. it's a subtle back-and-forth consisting of backhanded comments and not-really-compliments that tend to derail the serious group discussions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
meet bunki kuboyama, the shujin academy newspaper club member so unpleasant that the only other member considers him dead to her.
bunki is the one with all the attitude. where roxy is subtly malicious, he will not hold back on ranting to you about just how unflattering those colours are on you. he's very keen on voicing every thought of his, actually, which means he expresses a lot of—frankly, unwanted—opinions. it doesn't even matter if he wasn't in the conversation before, because he is now. and god he will not shut up.
akechi isn't fond of bunki's nosy nature, and especially not how much he insists he tells him about his private life outside . but bunki's failure to grasp the concept of fun makes him good for serious discussions where he brings in his actually good ideas, and he's within literal inches of the real phantom thieves, so akechi won't curbstomp him. not today, at least.
another one of bunki's good traits is that he's observant with a good eye for details, which makes him a plausible navigator in the metaverse. but that's another post for another day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
next is chifuyu oishi. he was born in a back alley dumpster and raised by feral dogs.
okay, not actually, but it would explain a lot about him. chifuyu is loud, aggressive, and his temper is as foul as spoiled milk. however, if you're trustworthy in his eyes, he'll have an undying and unconditional loyalty to you, as well as the impression that you'll always answer his pleas when he pesters you about his latest big bang burger craving.
unfortunately, akechi turns out to be the main target of said pestering because he's a "rich, famous celebrity or some shit like that, yeah?", and thus has to pay for his meals. akechi feels like he could really be doing something better with his time, but... whatever stops the bomb from going off, i guess.
chifuyu's fixation on combat makes him a useful asset in battle, at least. he's good at following commands, except for the ones telling him to take it easy, meaning he gets injured. a lot. nothing he's not used to, though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
introducing the girl who would probably be very upset to learn that she needs an introduction since she expects everyone to know her already, kiyoe hino!
kiyoe comes from a family of old wealth. you can tell, because she brings it up in every sentence. she's excessively prideful with lots of badges and trophies and medals in all kind of competitions to justify it. kiyoe likes to believe that she's composed and elegant like a princess would be, but if one dares to question her she will become extremely upset and petty.
akechi finds that she's rather hard to work with, seeing she has a tendency to follow commands from nobody but herself, but all it takes is a bit of bargaining and boot-kissing and she's willing to help out. it's not something akechi wants to do, but he has to, otherwise he's lost an ally. and knowing kiyoe, if she's not in the crow's nest, she'll probably try to find some way to take the phantom thieves down herself, disrupting the others' plans in the process.
that said, she definitely could if she tried hard enough. kiyoe isn't the best at managing her emotions, but she is cunning, calculated, and a good strategist. her intelligence is a great weapon if used correctly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and last, but not least, is etsumi fukunaga. she's an ex-ballerina with a personality as fragile as a flower, making you wonder how she wound up with these guys in the first place.
well... "fragile" can mean two things in her case. either delicate, dainty, and precious... or very, very unstable.
etsumi is a sweet girl, sure. she's soft-spoken and a good listener and an obedient teammate. but put any pressure on her, and she will crack. it's difficult to have a productive conversation with her because it can never be her fault, she's the victim, and she only ever does good. etsumi also has a tendency to think aloud, and her thoughts are... violent. graphically so.
but akechi actually likes her. her crying can be annoying at times, but she's extremely dedicated to eradicating the phantom thieves, follows orders without resistance, and it's quite obvious she looks up to him.
etsumi's previous experience in the art of dance makes her a capable fighter (and an elegant one, at that) as well. she also offers good morale, seeing as she's the only one on the team without a stick up her ass.
if you've read this far, it means you gave me enough time to suck your soul from your body. it's mine now, and now you have to read more oc posts in the future.
i sure hope that's not something you'll complain about. i hope you enjoyed learning about them, and thank you for your time! bye now

Thank you for your kind reply to my ask 😊
You are absolutely right about the night in El Mesón de San Diego. He didn't even want to introduce her as his assistant, he was that ashamed to be seen with her in public even when it wasn't on a romantic term and was solely work related in front of all those people. What was he thinking asking her to go back afterwards? He even asks her if she thinks he is embararrassed to be seen with her because he refused to kiss her in front of everyone. Me thinks it was because he was acting as if she was not there since they arrived forcing her to have to introduce herself. Part of me wonders what would have happened if she had ditched Armando there after finishing her phone call to Nicolás and taken a cab home 😂😂😂 too bad she had to return his cellphone.
Before, I think I was also referring to the part where Betty storms off and Armando chases after her. I remember they were getting quite a few glances their way by the time she tells him that he cannot force her to stay because he cares way too much about his image and about what other people say. When he goes after her, I think he punches (or slaps?) a table and even collides with someone on his way out, and there were many people looking at him and gossiping in the back. I can't remember if they told Marcela about their fight as well.
lots going on here regarding el meson ep. lets backtrack a bit.
im so sorry this is like, super long and i tried to edit it. but like, i couldnt. im all over the place here. read at ur own risk.
the reason they go to el meson is bc betty eavesdrops on his conversation with mario--mario tells him to 'take her out to dinner, take her dancing, make love to her. whatever it takes to get her do el balance'. and then says that betty shouldn't get so used to going to fancy places, that armando's already taken her to business dinners and cocktails. that that wasn't going to last forever for her, not just bc of marcela but bc of armando's image.
then she challenges him to take her to el meson--which he does. (but he doesn't want to). as u said, he doesn't even introduce her as his assistant. and betty herself is surprised by this. look at her face:
Tumblr media
at the very least she expected him to introduce her as his assistant. it's the bare minimum and he doesn't do it. so she does it herself.
the entire time inside el meson is betty challenging him and goes as far as saying that he has no problem being seen or publicly kissing beautiful woman, that it's just her he has the problem with.
this isn't the first time betty has brought something like this up.
the discussion of his public image vs her looks is something betty talks about that night at mario's apartment. she says he could never be with someone like her in public, she talks badly about herself and armando in that scene begs her not to talk that way.
betty does it again at el meson, but with a passive aggressiveness that armando doesn't know how to subdue. he's not being kind, he's not being attentive. he's nothing like the man betty was with at mario's apartment. mario says at some point that betty is testing him, in a way this was a test. she put this situation into practice and armando is failing. i think sometimes betty hopes to see the man she thought armando was before the letter and the date at el meson is another hurtful truth that that man doesn't exist.
so what we are left with now is a betty who's hurting and wants armando to hurt as well, to suffer at being by her side. he insists that something is going on with nicolas and betty's like 'okay i'll prove to you that's not true by kissing you' and armando is all too aware of the setting and doesn't want to kiss her there. he's actually thankful that marcela interrupts them with a phone call.
a big contrast to when they're trying to leave the picasso exhibit and marcela calls him and he's upset.
the fight you mention, the one inside where he hits the table--is bc after his phone call with marcela, he checks his phone and sees that betty never called her house. that it was nicolas she called. he becomes furious and he's like 'she wanted to kiss me but she's calling nicolas on MY phone'. he hits the table and yells at her, she retaliates. we know from here what happens. and yes ppl are looking at them. for a second, his anger and jealousy over the nicolas thing, take over and its not until betty gets up that he tries to stop her--
Tumblr media
armando's face here is one of quiet torment. he knows she's right. he's hurt by how right she is. he also realizes that this relationship is out of his control. there's too many things happening and he doesn't know how to salvage any of it.
He even asks her if she thinks he is embararrassed to be seen with her because he refused to kiss her in front of everyone.
he wants to go back inside and talk things out and she refuses, she does say (paraphrasing) 'it mortifies you to be seen with me' and he denies it and then he, imo, belittles her feelings when he says 'why? because i wouldn't kiss you in front of the whole world? because i wouldn't touch you in public?' not only does it belittle her, but he's also taking out his frustration at the situation betty has put him in.
he then tries to kiss her bc at this point the jealousy he feels takes over, however he keeps trying to convince her to go back inside with him bc he wants a do over. he wants to kiss her, he wants her to go back inside so he can prove to her he's not ashamed of her. but its too late. even after he acknowledges his behavior 'i know i wasn't the best person in there'\'ive always done things wrong'. he didn't just fail an unknown test, he failed her and himself.
it's another contrast to the night at mario's when he is able to convince her to stay with him, where he is kind and gentle and honest with both her and himself. (u know aside fm betty's tragic backstory).
Part of me wonders what would have happened if she had ditched Armando there after finishing her phone call to Nicolás and taken a cab home 😂😂😂 too bad she had to return his cellphone
nicolas convinces her to stay bc he has his own ulterior motives, but i think if betty really wanted to leave in that instant she could left his phone in the hands of one the waiters bc they all know him there. i dont think betty would have gotten very far, and he still would have ran out after her. probably gone to her house, as he is fond of doing.
and there were many people looking at him and gossiping in the back. I can't remember if they told Marcela about their fight as well.
everyone saw them fighting, even outside u can see ppl in the windows fm the restaurant. but all marcela is told is that betty was acting very affectionate with him. and she's only told this by one person. you're bringing up something very interesting--everyone protects armando fm his infidelities. everyone saw something that was not work related happening at el meson. everyone knows armando is a cheater. so seeing him cheating, even if its with someone that's not a model, it's like natural thing for them to see. and the only one that thought to tell marcela was monica and it wasn't even the whole truth.
also--the image thing that armando is so worried about--is all in his head, bc at the end of the day he's still a man with high class privilege, so even if he was out in public with betty being affectionate, he would still be protected. betty wouldn't. clearly bc marcela never blames armando for anything, not really. she always blame the women around him.
double standard sexism amrite? idk how to end this post.

If you have any, what are your Volleyball and/or Pink hcs?
OOUUUGH 14 year old me would've combusted with an ask like this lmaooo
But either way, I may not remember a lot of them nor really like some anymore but I'll try listing some so here it goes
For Pink:
-In my head she would most likely be capable of having fire powers, both because it sort of makes sense and is slightly hinted to be possible as well as I found it really cool
-She would probably really enjoy food and maybe grow an interest for cooking
-She's scaringly good at climbing
-She's pretty damn athletic, being able to perform impressive stunts and maneuvers like it's nothing, as well as being extremely flexible
-LOVES physical touch. She hugs everything and everyone and loves to be hugged as well. She rarely ever realizes when she's being overly affectionate
-Actually possess behaviors and mannerisms similar to a cat's (this sounds ridiculous but I thought it was super cute and somehow fitting. yes she purrs)
-She developed an aversion to the dark due to her time spent locked in the tower. This could go into the theory that the diamonds essentially starved her since gems are powered by light but I won't get into that here
-She got the Wombo Combo (autism + adhd and developed a special interest in earth things in general)
-She likes having her face touched and caressed :]
-She used to hide things in her hair, and since it was so dense and thick it worked really well
-Really Really REALLY hates being held, because it makes her feel small and vulnerable and that's a no-no for her
-She would looooove naps. she's an eeper and goes snork mimimimimi
-She likes to dance and do silly things for volley to watch. Seeing her laugh made her really happy, and sometimes she even participated in her performances along with the pebbles :D
For Volley:
-When she was first introduced to pink, she used to be a pretty quiet but compliant pearl, always following orders and all that. However, since Pink is a huge enabler (and has no actual idea of how much authority she has over any other gem), she slowly started to develop and show her true personality. She still comes off as nice and quiet, but is actually pretty sassy and quite the jokester too!
-She has a tendency to be passive-aggressive, but she either means it completely or doesn't even realize it. She would stab a bitch if necessary imo
-After joining Little Homeworld, she develops a liking for botany, as well as photography!
-If she ever got the chance, she would have defended pink from the diamonds and even argue with them about how terrible they treat her *stares at this concept art by rebecca sugar*
Tumblr media
-Volley isn't as favorable of physical touch like Pink is, but she lets her lay her head on her lap. She likes to rest her head on pink's hair also
-She likes to squeeze pink's cheeks because they're squishy and it makes her giggle (pink does not know how to feel about it)
-She likes being held and carried around by pink. it makes her feel closer to her (emotionally), and she likes being high up there and gets all sassy about it sometimes lol
-She really likes coffee :]
-Sometimes she likes to quietly sit and lean on pink, and of course pink doesn't know how to react to that, so she just lets her be. It's probably some of the most peaceful moments they have together before The Incident
-She is Such a showoff lmao
-She doesn't cry very often, unlike pink, the latter being much more of a crybaby
-And of course she's autistic too
-She used to take pride in being so close to her diamond, which the other pearls found utterly disgusting, but she didn't care because to her, being pink diamond's best friend meant way more than just being her pearl
Aaand we're done I think. didn't expect this to be this long LMAO
Either way, thanks a lot for the ask! I love these two a lot and really wish we got more of them

sorry this is long I just have an influx of feelings cause your writing is so wonderful I'm just??? aaaaaAAAAA so, i was seeing people talk about Salyra, and being passive aggressive and whatnot, and this was before I played the latest chapter myself. Sure, the revelation would potentially hurt/confuse the MC, and it was a route I took last chapter. WIthout context, I guess reading the asks you were getting, I was mentally preparing to see how badly Salyra content would hurt me (cause I love angst, so not actually hurt me but in that punch you narrative heart of course by god I hope I am making sense) like, when i played at the start, i ended up wanting the MC and Ahlf have a good bond cause i could feel the struggle but also concern (or maybe I'm just to emotionally easy and just wanted peace in the family who knows lol) so it ended with a high relationship value between MC and Ahlf. But with Salyra, I still remember the first time I went through and got the revelation that she was not only alive but had a new family like??? I'M SORRY W H A T NOW???? Tho I did tell myself if there was a good reason for why she did what she did maaaaaybe I'd go with the reconciliation if there was one. It didn't go that way I still made MC not come to a conclusion. Mainly cause well... IDK like I said maybe I'm weak emotionally. While I don't forgive Salyra's reasons as to why she did what she did (the disappointment, like man I know she was trying to protect the MC but...), the emotions and desire to reconcile just made me feel like I cannot have it actually be on a 100% "I cannot forgive you" route. (also the slap that Ahlf just really didn't tell the MC about her letters like... why tho I thought I liked you by the end now I'm just >:C) (also really like that you can make it clear you are fine with Rana and Denzor, it's really just Salyra's actions that what really hurt)
Thank you so much 😊💖 I'm so glad you're feeling so much just from my writing! It means a lot 🌼
Don't worry! You make perfect sense. I too am an angst lover that makes you die on the inside because who doesn't love a good punch to the gut every now and then? 😋
You're completely free to feel the way you feel about Salyra. The game isn't about making peace with Salyra or forgiving her and you'll never be punished for having an antagonistic relationship with her, so if you go in wanting to reconcile but then doing the opposite, it's fine 😅 I tend to have more fun writing the aggressive responses with Salyra than the happy/forgiving responses.
Danzor and Rana, while part of Salyra's new family, aren't the same as Salyra and will not be nearly as pushy 😋

So as I've said, I hate the prison/cop storyline in Crystalized. It goes on for way too long and is just inherently ridiculous to me, and it just feels like it goes nowhere, and detracts from stuff we actually want to see? I don't care about cops, they're the lamest, least interesting antagonists for the ninja to go up against. They're just so inherently incompetent and bureaucratic, but suddenly we have to take them seriously now? I can't take Hounddog McBrag seriously, and he's not funny, none of them are. They're just annoying.
I get wanting to create stakes with freeing Aspheera and getting her staff, but you now what I would've loved to see? We have the setup of that judge whose name I won't remember, and how he's super hard and whatnot. The ninja brace themselves for the worst... And he lets them off with community service, in the form of continuing their heroics.
Because we'd had the season start off with people mourning Nya, honoring her!!! Not just the ninja but the citizens themselves sending lanterns, and it's what contributes to Nya returning! You're telling me nobody had any thoughts about the fact that the ninja brought back their hero? When Crystalized showed the civilians almost upset at the ninjas' verdict, I expected there to be some sort of follow through, especially with the Nya tribute beforehand. Like we'd see the people of Ninjago band together in defense of the ninja, allowing them this one mistake after everything they've done selflessly, and for free, compared to incompetent cops who get paid with their tax dollars to fail.
I thought that must've been the reason for introducing that annoying mayor character, but then nothing really happens with him? There's just a gag about him running away and that's it. No aftermath or consequences to his career or anything. Why did I have to sit through this guy if we didn't have the common folk of Ninjago forcing him to relent and pardon the ninja on this one, understandable mistake. In fact it feels like Crystalized kinda just forgot about a lot of the mayor/cop setup in the latter half.
On the one hand, I don't want any more time wasted on that. On the other, don't bring it up if you won't go through with it either? Likewise, I had mixed feelings about the new ninja because...
It feels like the narrative is trying to make you hate them, but up until they start being bootlickers for the mayor, the audience has no real reason to dislike them? I was mostly impressed by the fact that some people actually took the ninjas' heroics to heart by taking up the same mantle, and doing a somewhat decent job at it too!
And yeah the ninja are jealous and salty about being 'replaced', but that just feels petty and insecure. Isn't it better for everyone that there's more ninja, more people going around to help? What if something happened offscreen during Season 13, when they were stuck in a mountain way up north? And it's especially hypocritical because like. Can you blame these guys for stepping up, when y'all had temporarily retired from being ninja; If not you guys, who else?
Like yeah there's some minor, passive-aggressive remarks towards our ninja about being old or whatever but like... Up until they're bootlickers, there's nothing morally wrong with them doing exactly what the ninja are doing. Just because they're not as good as the ninja doesn't change the fact that at least they're trying. So on the one hand, I hated the new ninjas' role in that entire prison subplot. But on the other hand, inherently, the concept of them is not as bad as the show makes it out to be, and it's interesting how Dragons Rising, with its different writers, doesn't have Arin be demonized for trying to 'replace' the ninja. Because he shouldn't be, of course.
And now I can't help but wonder if we could've had an alternate ending to the new ninja subplot where our own ninja realize there's nothing actually wrong with these guys and they shouldn't take it personally, it's not much different than Wu's self-pitying and moping about how he's too old and useless in S13. But at least Wu welcomes his new ninja, so OUR ninja maybe should've had a brief development in welcoming a new generation, to set up them maturing, this being the finale, and Dragons Rising taking place with a new cast?
But yeah; We did not need to waste so many episodes on that whole thing. You could've subverted expectations in a heartwarming way by having the judge explain how he had a loved one who almost died when Wojira flooded the city, only for Nya to save them, and as a result he can't blame the ninja for wanting to bring back Nya in their gratitude and love as well. You'd still have the stakes beforehand of the heist, but then it's wrapped up and resolved in a way that pays off earlier setup and ties everything together. And we could spend actual screentime like IDK;
-Nya and Pixal's dynamic and the fact that they're both Samurai X
-The villains interacting with each other more
-Harumi having more of a redemption arc
-Vania and Benthomaar adjusting to being royalty
-Vania having an actual conflict with Vangelis, which would help to expand on his characterization that fans found lacking in S13
-Literally anything else
I don't mind Sally, what she represents is actually really important but there are so many different ways they could've incorporated her, and even then she only takes up one episode. Everything else easily could've been thrown out. I know it sounds silly because I'm a grown adult getting salty about legos but tbf I started watching this series when I was a kid, and that’s how long it’s been going. And the writers are also adults who seem to want the fandom to take their stuff somewhat seriously so I dunno. I think part of the problem is that Ninjago has had some pretty good highs, so the lows hurt even more knowing we could be so much better than this.

So you remember the post you did about M4 being jealous? Well In rime’s part you said imagine if you made headcanons about Rime being jealous of mc because he still loves Felix. So I was wondering if you could actually write it ?
Here's the jealousy post in question
GN!Reader, mentions of alcohol, sorry it took me so long to get to this I have a really clogged up inbox
I mean we've seen the violent side of Rime's jealousy already, but what would a more subdued version of that look like? Maybe a Rime who's re-joined the Starsworn and has (reluctantly) accepted the fact that a relationship with Felix is no longer on the table?
And maybe he doesn't hate you for it anymore - how can he, when you went through so much shit to defeat LoS and save Astraea and protect Felix - but he's still angry. Still hurt. Still... Jealous.
Rime doesn't like being around you two. Or, specifically, around you. Sometimes he'll still spend one-on-one time with Felix (usually talking about some new spells they've been researching together) but Felix will inevitably bring you up somehow and that ruins it.
There are a lot of little ways Rime tries to one-up you. He's already a naturally competitive person so that doesn't help. Every little thing turns into some sort of contest, even when Felix isn't around.
He feels a little better when he manages to beat you but it always turns very hollow. You already won the most important thing.
Always passive-aggressive and/or sarcastic. Maybe not as much when Anisa or Felix are there, but still.
That being said he doesn't try to hurt you (anymore) and if you need backup, then he'll help you. He won't like it, and he might rub it in your face later depending on the context, but he'll help you.
Surprisingly he does not try to be underhanded and manipulate you and Felix into breaking up, but only because he knows it would hurt Fe.
Definitely makes it clear to you that if you ever fuck up and hurt Felix, he'll kill you. And if you and Felix ever break up, Rime is asking him out.
Which uh,, fair enough you guess.
Rime starts going to bars more. Sometimes it's with the express goal of hooking up, but usually it's just to get sloppy drunk and stop thinking for a while. There's more than one time Sage ends up finding him and dragging his drunk ass back to Fathom.
I actually think Rime and Sage get along a little better. While Sage doesn't exactly like Rime trash-talking you, he does like getting to see Rime's bitchy rebellious side.

wanted to talk about moon knight, as coming from a system.
most of this is copy pasted from a twitlonger i made, but i wanted to add some more here
tldr: moon knight was an incredible display of did and i'm glad we have media depicting it as such. however too many people refuse to research into it after watching, yet insist upon making jokes about it. it's tiring.
okay apparently im fucking stupid and you cant add a fucking post break from mobile so just take it all as is
very personal input
while i can't speak for the comics, i absolutely completely and thoroughly enjoyed moon knight.
media depicting did/osdd is few and far between and what we do have is... well we have never seen any that are /actually good/. so i was extremely apprehensive so start watching this but ended up enjoying it so much that i watched it (almost) all at once.
before i continue, as of writing this, this is san. there is someone in cofront but he doesn't care to add anything. the others may want to add their input later (specifically i want lira to write some because our relationship feels much like steven and marc), but i can't say for sure. so anyways — onto how i personally feel about moon knight and it's depiction of did.
marc. i understand marc to an almost startling degree — to the point where episodes 2 and 5 sent me into a panic attack but that's just... i have problems. amongst the six of us i know of, i can say undoubtedly that i am... disliked, to put it mildly. the end of episode 2 really struck a cord. i can't say i ever felt what steven did — anger, fear, disgust? but, that feeling of being trapped is one that i definitely know. when steven tells marc that he's ruined his life, he's terrible, he wished he wasn't there, etc. it was very personal. there have been many times in which an attempt to help — we focus heavily on kali and keeping kali feeling safe and stable — just didn't work out the way i thought it would. there are so many times that my attempts to help (and still most times i think whatever it was i did was the right call) were met with "san is ruining our life". the way they portrayed marc's anger, confusion, hurt, etc. to steven thinking that about him was... very, very well done. episode 5 too was... sheesh. marc's desperate attempts to keep steven from remembering the truth of what happened to them — not wanting to ruin the balance that they've created, the freedom of having a 'break' of sorts from stress through steven... yeah. Yeah. "you were never supposed to know. you got to live a carefree, happy life. isn't that enough?"
serious points aside, i think the banter was very nice as well. i like the cofronting approach to writing because it's something that i personally understand well because that is our constant. personally enjoyed moments like "if it comes down to it... kill the hippo, steal the boat" "NO?" because it reminds me deeply of lira and i. i think early on, the way steven so desperately tries to deny what is happening upon discovery and hating the idea of marc, is very... much like how i know kali still views me.
i can not comment on their relationship with/views of jake because, well, if we have alters we don't know of as well then... there's no way for me to write about those. heart emoji
i might remember more i want to say later, but for now my final topic will be: the way layla treats them when she learns about the presence of steven. i, personally, think it's very, very sweet. there is a level of understanding there that i so desperately wish we had received in the past. the initial "you must be lying to guilt trip me" response is understandable after all that happened between them, but i love how when she realizes that oh. no, this is for real. there was no teasing, there was no passive aggressiveness, there was nothing negative. there was this understanding that the man she loved went through something horrible and this is part of him. she never blamed steven either for when she thought marc killed her father, she never blamed him for anything the other did.
also i lied the final topic will be how i need people to stop babying them. using one of the scenes where steven fronts after marc has a literal breakdown in the street after being forced to confront his trama as a aww the poor baby:( type of scene. making jokes about "marcs other personalities".
im sure i will remember more things specifically that bug me to hell and back so i will edit this. i will add more. i will have the others add more too

For the ouat characters as mythical creatures thing I could also see Belle as a swan maiden 1) for much of the same reason Milah's a selkie but 2) it's different enough from a selkie that she's not just a copy of Milah and 3) it kinda fits her since swans are seen as very beautiful and elegant (and Belle is very beautiful (it's even mentioned in the name of her story - beauty and the beast) and has that kind of princess aesthetic and there kinda almost seems to be an aspect of some other characters treating her a little like a decoration (idk? it's subtle but I kinda see it?) which is what a lot of domestic swans are kept for) but swans in reality Can Fight You (and Belle is adventurous and not content being in a passive role all the time and actually is quite competent (at least... when the threat isn't coming from Rumple)). (And 4) one of my favorite Rumbelle songs (Writing on the Wall by Blackmore's Night) mentions swans (I mean what I'm not choosing this for superficial reasons not at all))
Okay so A) I'm used to getting anons and was having an existential crisis wondering how I was gonna tell someone I don't ship Rumbelle without coming across as 'SO DON'T SEND ME THESE' which isn't what I mean but 'I don't ship them so I hope I don't come across as hatey because I know how that feels please don't hate me' then I remembered how to read and saw your name and was all 'Omg good they already know how I feel! 8D' B) HI!! and C) I'm using letters since you used numbers :D
1) and 2) Oooo good points! (I know I told you how similar I find them, but yes, similar doesn't mean copy! So I like that idea.)
3) Ooo that IS fitting! (Yesss, I've always loved that, and that Belle means beauty, eee! Eight year old me's mind was BLOOOOWN when I was told that! It might have been the first time I actually thought about name meanings. I'd thought they were just sounds we called each other. Now I know better! For instance, apparently my name, Catherine, means pure! ...I was oddly offended when I found that out.) I can very much see where you're going with the comparrison and I can see it, too! Oh man, swans are scary. (One got aggressive with toddler me!) And sometimes Belle is scary. (Right?! (Right?!))
4) Oooo I haven't heard that song! I'll have to give it a listen to. (What I would never do such a thing either what do you mean.)
Thank you for your input!! And I agree, Belle is more suited to Swan Maiden than Selkie.

How Each Descendants Character Would Be As the Mastermind (Danganronpa AU)
Mal- If she were the mastermind, she would be less of a gremlin than I establish her to be in my previous Danganronpa AU post. She would have to be Descendants 1 Mal, coyly pulling everyone's strings but never seeming obviously antagonistic towards anyone. Like, she would use manipulation and passive aggression, but no clear bullying or accusations. Also, the whole thing was probably her mom's idea, and she's doing it to earn her mom's approval. That is to say, bringing down the other Ultimates was her mom's idea; the killing game itself was really hers, and she was happy to tell Maleficent of her plan until she realized she was actually going to have to do it. Her actions are being closely monitored by Maleficent at this point, so even when she feels quietly guilty about what she's doing to her classmates, she doesn't feel at liberty to do anything about it; she already made the mistake of giving her mother access to her class, and now she's just stuck in this plot. She does enjoy some of the deaths, violence, and conflict. If someone dies in a way she finds funny, she will fully have to leave the room so she can laugh without drawing attention.
When she gets found out as the mastermind in the final trial, she puts on an evil smile and gloats and mocks everyone, but she really is not happy to lose her friends. Maybe Jay remembers something she said early on that was actually a subtle warning or hint, but she still was helping Maleficent with the killing game at every step, and it's still her fault it happened. Maybe she gets a laugh-cry in, for old time's sake. Basically, she's tormenting herself almost as much as she's tormenting them, and Maleficent is behind a lot of it.
Evie- She would make a pretty sad mastermind, I think. She's not doing this because she likes it. She has some ideology that she's trying to promote or some end that she's working toward. She loves all of her classmates and hates to see them hurt and turning on each other. I feel like, in an actual Danganronpa game, this would be a case of "something something despair" being the full explanation. Just, she fell to despair at some point and felt called to share her despair with her friends and the world, out of some warped version of charity. She's very good at convincing others to join her cause; she definitely has a whole movement behind her.
When the class finds out that she's the mastermind, she lets them yell and protest. She just stands there with a sad look while they demand why she would do this. When they let her explain herself, she is quiet and miserable but unyielding. She fully believes that this had to happen; otherwise, she wouldn't have done it.
Don't get me wrong, I can imagine a version of mastermind Evie who is enjoying herself, but this is the version I most readily picture.
Carlos- He is a mastermind who is either having a ton of fun or feels nothing. He has the tech skills to pull off pretty much all of this himself. I think I best see him as a more stoic, Izuru-like co-mastermind with someone who's having more fun, so this could be a Mastermind Jaylos situation, or Carlos and Mal. Mastermind Carlos and Evie would be a situation where neither of them is having fun, but Evie believes in what they're doing and Carlos believes in Evie.
If it is a scenario where he enjoys being the mastermind, though, I see it having vibes of "genius who was never challenged enough finally doing something he finds engaging". Operating Monokuma, controlling all the contraptions in the school, running the broadcast, and all while being a participant in the game and interacting with everyone. His shyness isn't an act; he does get flustered being around them all, and he has to be careful not to accidentally say something he isn't supposed to know, and he is fully aware that they could kill him at any time. But he finds that kind of thrilling; with his intellect, he has never had to deal with the possibility of failure like this. When he's discovered as the mastermind, he rolls up in dalmation clothes and black and red sunglasses, laughing that they actually figured it out.
Jay- He would be a pretty laidback mastermind. He's the type of mastermind who would go, "Jeez, you guys are boring me. Can we skip this part already?" But he'd say it with a smile on his face. I feel like he is similar to Carlos, in that he thought up the killing game just to have some enrichment in his enclosure, so to speak. He's a smarter guy than he gets (or seeks) credit for, and he has a lot of unprocessed issues. With his looks and people skills, he can easily trick people into helping him set this up.
On the surface level, I think when he is revealed as the mastermind, he presents himself as enjoying the violence for its own sake (similar to Mal), but really, I think his reasons for doing it could be related to his plotline in Descendants 1: overcoming his "me vs. us" thing, practicing teamwork, and more broadly coming to terms with the idea that the world doesn't have to be an inherently combative place that is out to get him. If Jay in the Danganronpa universe has the backstory that I gave him in that other post, he could easily have come to the same survival mindset where selfishness is the only way to survive, and after spending some time at Hope's Peak and having this worldview challenged by these incredibly brilliant people who he's now built relationships with, he needs to see, once and for all, if cooperation can win out over conflict. If the world isn't dog-eat-dog, then they shouldn't kill each other, right?
He was curious what they'd do. They didn't fully disappoint him. The survivors who didn't kill anyone, plot against anyone, or get killed all interest him. But in the long run, they didn't prove that they wouldn't kill each other, and he didn't prove that they all would. It's a lukewarm result. What's he supposed to do with that? Well, all that's left is to give them the choice of whether or not to kill him. They've won the game, their friends are dead because of him. But they're free to go. All they would get out of killing Jay is vengeance. Will they do it? (If they vote to kill him, he won't actually let them; he'll just mysteriously disappear with his adversarial worldview reaffirmed. If they vote not to kill him, then he has some things to reevaluate. Maybe these people really are his friends! He doesn't even mind that they think he's kind of a monster.)
Uma- This could be a case of her mind just breaking from having gotten through so many horrible situations unscathed, causing her to almost compulsively start to engineer worse situations for herself out of survivor's guilt or some other self-destructive urge. Or it could be spite; maybe she's tired of the weird social darwinism with which the Danganronpa universe treats talent and wants to show the "normal" people of the world that Ultimates really aren't so special. So, Option A- she's gone through so much that she feels invincible, but in a bad way, and has become so inured to catastrophe that she has to find some limit to her talent, and she's using this elaborate killing game to do it; Option B- she hates how the Ultimates are placed on a pedestal over everyone else and feels like she's giving something to the broader world by exposing their flaws.
Harry could either be in on the plot from the beginning (like Mukuro), be told about it during the killing game and join her, or find out when everyone else does but joins her anyway because she's the one he's closest to. Or he died during the game, worsening Uma's survivor's guilt or making her cling more tightly to her conviction that she's making a noble sacrifice. (If he or Gil dies in the killing game, she is absolutely wrecked emotionally.)
Harry- Okay, there's a yandere option and an angsty option. Yandere option: He's the mastermind because he knows that Uma is the Ultimate Survivor and he wants to see her triumph over all the other Ultimates. Maybe he didn't think they respected Uma's talent enough when they were in class together, so he thought of a "fun" way for Uma's talent to shine over theirs. (As the Ultimate Assassin, he can get very creative, as far as ways to kill people. They didn't just give him that title because of his weapon proficiency; he has great planning skills.) He has full faith that she will survive the killings, and his ultimate plan is for some fire or explosion to destroy the building after the final trial, which he is also certain that Uma will survive. ("What about the rest of us?!" one of the other students demands. "Best of luck!" Harry answers, with a grin.)
Uma would be shocked when all of this gets found out in the final trial, and after he gives a very yandere speech to her, she pretends to go along with him but then puts an end to his plan and keeps him pretty much on a leash. He's cool with it; he's proven his point, and really he didn't expect her to be willing to kill them all.
That's one all option. The other option is that actually he's only the "mastermind" in the scheme of their class; really, he was hired by some third party before school started, to assassinate them all. He still was the one to come up with the killing game, because he's still ridiculously creative about his kills. He joined the class with the intention of doing this but struggled with this decision when he made friends with Uma and Gil. He went through with the plan but does everything in his power to protect them and feels really bad about the whole thing.
Gil- Himbo mastermind. Just conceptually, I already love it. This could be because of a worldview inherited from his father (and this is about to be wildly stupid, so buckle in). Like, his strongest human connections always came with an element of sport or competition, and he was never allowed to express emotion or fondness outside of those contexts, so when he finds himself really loving his classmates, his only way to fully express the emotion of it is by making them fight.
Okay, so there was that idea. He could also be co-mastermind with someone else, which I think makes sense; he fits well into "cheerful henchman" territory, and while he is capable of hurting people, I don't think the killing game is something he would come up with or set up on his own, in most scenarios.
Although, invoking the Obfuscating Stupidity trope and making him someone who can inspire enough loyalty to get others to help him set up the killing game by acting as a himbo does seem pretty cool. Like, a version of Gil who is genuinely chill and cheerful and fun to talk to, but he also easily comes up with the killing game and has no problem setting it up, so he can watch his good friends fight all around him.
I think any version of mastermind Gil comes with some cognitive dissonance as to his own culpability. Either it's a matter of him not being the one to personally kill the others, so it's not his fault, or it wasn't his idea to do the killing game, so it's not his fault, or it's really just the circle of life and animals kill each other in nature all the time so there's no reason to get too bummed about it. Yeah, he'll miss his murdered and executed friends, but it happens. "Why the long faces, guys? At least the rest of us are still alive."
Ben- I feel like this would also probably be a case of mind break. He's the Ultimate Moral Compass for a reason; if he's behind the killing game, something has happened to drastically warp his mental state to the point where he thinks he's doing the right thing, similar to Evie and Uma. He would be a very earnest mastermind; whatever logic led him to think that this is what he needed to do, he believes in it fully, and when he is revealed as the mastermind, he is serious about trying to make the others understand why this was right and good. He really does care about his friends! He hates that they think he enjoyed doing this.
Audrey- I immediately think of a Queen of Mean situation. I feel like that would be her vibe as the mastermind. Very "Bow, peasants!" But it took magical brainwashing to get Audrey into that mode in Descendants 3, so what would get her there in the Danganronpa universe? It could be a situation where Evie fell to despair but didn't go out of her way to spread it; she just despaired quietly and channeled it into her work as Ultimate Fashionista. But Audrey, as the biggest fan of her fashion line and a princess who was already kind of on the edge emotionally, feels Evie's despair through her work and is also thrown into despair, and she's way more...proactive...about it. And she has the resources of her whole kingdom at her disposal to share that despair with her Hope's Peak besties.
Or maybe it's not related to Evie at all. But I do think she'd have to be brainwashed to go Queen of Mean.
Otherwise, as a brainwash-free mastermind, she would be very prim and a lot like Sonia in SDR2; she's bubbly and sheltered and into dark topics. Human consequences barely register to her, because she was raised as royalty, and lives are just pawns.
Chad- I feel like if he were the mastermind, he wouldn't participate in the game as an actual player; he would watch arrogantly from the sidelines and enjoy the show. The participants wouldn't meet him until the end. From the perspective of the audience, he would be very visible, in that he would be the host and have Kuzko-style interstitials where he talks about the participants over a freeze frame and makes fun of them. The killing game is his way of proving his superiority and earning the world's attention. He isn't smart enough to get all of it done on his own, but he's rich; he can afford to hire smart people to make his vision happen.
He would basically be Junko's queen persona. I don't even know if he would bother to make it a secret from the participants that he's the mastermind; he might have portraits of himself hanging all over the school.
Lonnie- She would be having a blast. She doesn't even mind being found out. She still considers all the participants her friends, and she is super companionable with them. "Wasn't that fun? Come on, I kept it fun for you guys, didn't I?" She definitely had some reason for doing all of this, and I feel like it would be a situation where some worse thing was going to happen otherwise. Like, maybe she was tasked with killing all of them (again, by some third party) but decided to do this instead; maybe someone hired her to kill them, not fully grasping that a skilled swordsperson is not the same thing as an assassin, and she pretty much just went "lol sure" but did the killing game instead. Internally calculating that if she doesn't agree to kill the Ultimates, her employer will just find someone else to do it, so she may as well set up a fun competition where their lives are enough on the line to satisfy her employers while they still have a fighting chance and she gets to enjoy the sport of it all. Or something like that. Basically, it's a combination of a guaranteed worse outcome and her thinking a killing game could be cool.
Jane- I feel like this would be an inferiority complex type of mastermind. Kind of like her outburst at the end of Descendants 1; she feels less special than everyone else, so she seizes power over them. She has the organizational skills to pull it off. I think she'd be a Laughing Mad mastermind. Like Chad, she has no larger reason for doing this. Unlike Chad, I think she would remain a participant even as the mastermind. As soon as she is revealed, she might launch into some rant about how all the Ultimates think they're so great but don't have the basic overall competence that normal people have.
Doug- I almost want to say that he would also be an inferiority complex type, but thinking about his character, I think I see him being more like, "I surprised you, right? You didn't expect that?" Idk, despite the way I tend to think of the character, his actual in-canon vibes are more "Well, that just happened 🙃" than anything, I think. Like, he would calmly admit to everything once they accuse him, like, "Yeah it was me. And the results were fascinating!" He isn't really a chummy mastermind or a sad mastermind or a broken mastermind. This was pretty much a science experiment to him.

My finale watch continues, now with episode eleven. Can the writing quality of the previous episode persist into this one? Please? Pretty please???
Malcolm!Eddie visiting the CCPD. Are we about to get some answers about how he's alive? A lot of people are staring at him in shock. I wonder how many actually knew Eddie and how many have just seen his picture on the wall with the rest of the honored dead?
Chester - Evil cobalt isotopes took Barry away. Mark Blaine - Sounds like you guys could use my exact brand of smarminess.
I do appreciate that Blaine recognized he specifically needed distance from Khione and that Khione wouldn't have been able to give it to him if she'd had a method of contact.
Blaine - Barry didn't give up on me even at my lowest point which was this season and I never did anything to really prove him right. But I'm gonna do it now, guys. Honest.
Cisco name-dropped! Which is probably all he gets this episode. :( But at least they remembered him.
Iris remembering the timeline where Nora grew up without Barry. *sniff* Because Barry's been disappeared right before Nora's about to be born.
Oooh, the N!SF has possessed someone else.
Khione being all nature girl, but sadly she scares the people she saved. :(
So I like that they're leaning hard into the Cobalt Blue theme, but the N!SF's color is red, so making the N!SF blue when it's directly possessing people is... weird. Like... is the N!SF itself the real Cobalt Blue here and not Malcolm!Eddie? That's how it looks. It's just... the N!SF already had a color theme so this... it's gonna bug me for all the episode, I think.
Malcolm!Eddie's driver's license being blank at first is fun. He's starting to question his identity, so of course the official documentation is off (also that should be a state license, not a Central City license, but whatever). And it furthers the question of whether Malcolm Gilmore is a persona entirely made up by the N!SF to hide bringing Eddie back to life. He's not acting like he woke up with amnesia eight years ago, but he is starting to question his reality. So on some level, he has to know something is off even without the N!SF's little shenanigans.
So the scene of the lightning strike, having seen it twice now, definitely reminds me of Barry being struck by lightning in the 90s show. It hits Malcolm!Eddie through the window, knocking him horizontally across the lab. I wonder if it was an intentional homage since it resembles that so much more strongly than the scene from this show's pilot where Barry's struck.
I do like hearing about how much Eddie's presence impacted other members of the CCPD. Talking about how kind he was, making rookies feel at home. That's what made him such a beloved character in S1.
N!SF - OKAY THIS IS BORING DO SOMETHING ELSE! Malcolm!Eddie - O_O
actually it shouted FIND HER! - meaning Iris, no doubt - but there's Eddie finding out he has a legacy with the CCPD after all and the N!SF is clearly all upset that Eddie might learn something positive about the impact his life had with all these cops; someone wants to get on with its evil plan and Eddie isn't cooperating
(STAR Labs with it's gashes still intact, they're really gonna end the show having never fixed the building)
Khione - Sooo, I've learned how to be passive aggressive Blaine - You made people into plant monsters! Khione - I literally saved their lives. Blaine - I'm going to blame you for the pain they were in that was caused by the poison being expelled from their lungs.
I mean... I get that he's possessed by N!SF there, what with the glowy blue eyes reveal. But that was entirely in character for him. So that was a writing fail. If you're gonna write a possessed character being 'out of character' but it's entirely in character because they've been an asshole all season... then it's not going to get the viewer impact it needs.
I wonder what's up with the blue roses N!SF keeps showing.
I did always love that moment when Iris and Eddie chose each other over whatever Eobard was claiming was their destiny. Iris did choose Eddie over Barry in that moment, no matter how they try to spin things later.
SF!Nora to the rescue, protecting Iris and unborn-baby-Nora. I'm not a big fan of the more human-acting Speed Force, but I'm glad she got a chance to show up in the finale.
Malcolm!Eddie having a break down in Iris' office. But of course he wouldn't find any traces of himself in there, since Iris moved to that office long after he died. The pieces of him - of their relationship - she's kept are going to be at home.
Malcolm!Eddie is looking for pieces of Eddie in all the wrong places but that's because the N!SF wants to feed him a specific narrative. It needs Eddie to hate Barry if it's going to make him an Avatar. It needs to make Eddie more like Eobard. So I think that means I was right about Malcolm being a persona the N!SF created to fit Eddie into a mold closer to what Eobard imagined his illustrious family namesake was like.
Oooh, i like the way they connect Iris' message for Barry and the moment Barry expelled the N!SF from Joe. She's his lightning rod and even across time, that means something. Though I do think it's more impactful if that's something she chose to be after season one, not something that she's always been no choice about it.
SF!Nora summoning Khione was nifty. And now we're getting godlike power talking to godlike power. Regular girl talk. :D
Khione talking about the things she's done with her powers and I just wish we'd seen any of that. But we only saw a small part of it before the time skip which means so much of Khione's power development was told, not shown. That's not always bad, but in this case... it's not great. We deserved to see some of that development so that Khione being powerful enough to take on the N!SF on her own makes sense.
N!SF - You have to kill Mark to stop me. Khione - Okay. Turn to dust. Me - Leave him like that!
Of course, she reconstitutes him minus the Cobalt Blue crystal. So. We're still stuck with him.
Meanwhile, Iris is now in labor with mild contractions.
Iris - I thought Barry would be back in time. Barry - *appears*
lol
Iris being so happy that Barry's there with her in the hospital is so sweet.
Team Flash discussion in the waiting lounge.
Khione realizing she's going to have to leave. :( And then it's Barry who gets N!SF kidnapped again. perfect timing.
So now Malcolm!Eddie is digging up Eddie's grave, that breakdown is progressing apace. Though, huh, I guess I thought Eddie was only four years older than Barry and Iris. But turns out he's six years older, since his grave says his B-day is Jan 6, 1983.
So the Captain he talked to at the CCPD and who tracked him down during his little breakdown grave-robbery, isn't Kristen Kramer. It's Korber, one of the recurring officers whose name I only sometimes remember. Which makes me suspect this is happening in the future. Admittedly, I know the next episode Barry's supposed to show up in the future thanks to spoilers, but I guess I was thinking Eddie was in 2023. He's clearly not, though, so that's interesting.
First, it makes it all the more fascinating that everyone recognized him at the CCPD. Not just Korber, but everyone was staring.
Still not sure what's going on with those blue flowers the N!SF keeps showing? Are they purely thematic and symbolic of Eddie being coerced into becoming Cobalt Blue? Are there literal flowers somewhere?
So... that was not as good of an episode as the first one. The Malcolm!Eddie scenes were probably the best. Mark being possessed by the N!SF would have been more impactful if him being a hypocritical asshole who tries to control and manipulate Khione wasn't entirely in character for him. Khione's nature goddess powers were hinted at before but have undergone a massive tell-don't-show growth spurt that's unsatisfying even as seeing her get to be powerful is cool to see. Iris doesn't really get to do much because she's pregnant. Cecile doesn't get to do much because... honestly, she often doesn't get to do much. Allegra's knocked out to cut down on the number of characters that have to be juggled. And Chester really doesn't do much action-wise either.
There's a lot of stuff that just... doesn't happen in this episode. I'm not really sure how else to phrase it. There's just... lead up to nothing? I thought maybe N!SF was trying to make Iris vulnerable to Eddie's arrival until it finally clicked that he wasn't actually in 2023 (I mean, Kramer could have been on vacation) but that wasn't it. Honestly, there doesn't seem to have been much of a point to the N!SF causing trouble in 2023 at all. What was it even trying to achieve? We have the fight with Khione, but she curb stomps the N!SF so quickly that it's... it isn't really satisfying.
I dunno. I think even expecting this wouldn't be as good ep1, it was still... kind of a let down.
i think I'm gonna take a break, pop up some popcorn, and then get back to watching with episode 12.

hi my love. i bring gifts. ♥, ♢, ✂, ❣
gather around the campfire for story time meme.
i’ll do the first one last cuz u know what the story is lol but
♢ Has anyone ever tried to steal your blog? Your headcanons? Icons? All that jazz. sb who is long, long gone once stole my entire character when i was on my old blog JHBENGJHN right down to his character design and aspects of who he was and i know this bc it was an oc i had that was like drastically different than the canon character he was born from, so my portrayal was like... really really specific. i never confronted them or anything bc i didn’t rlly care enough to, but i still remember it being funny kinda cuz they took my black muse and made him a psd that turned him orange. ORANGE. 😭😭 IT’S REALLY NOT THAT HARD TO MAKE PSDS FOR BLACK CHARACTERS Y’ALL IT’S JUST NOT KJENRHMKJM PLEASE. anw they kinda just ended up fading away so there was no altercation or anything. they tried 2 blame me for getting anon hate once that was like “you stole UNiCoRN’S cHArACtErrr” but one of their friends outed them for sending it to themselves. 🤡
✂ A fandom that you feel isn't open and accepting? i don’t have much to say on this one, but probably the p*rsona fandom. i’ve met a lot of really really nice and chill people who rp in that fandom and i think i’ve heard it’s gotten better? but man the p*rsona fandom and the d*ng*nr*npa fandom back in the day were hand in hand with each other. it was always something.
❣ How salty are you feeling right now? honestly not that salty. i know i have some wild stories, but i need to stress that i’ve moved on from p much everything i talk about KJNERHKJNM. for most of this it has ACTUALLY been years. this is stuff that happened when i was much younger and put much more stock in my emotions on tumblr. i’m fine now. it’s all a little funny to me, aside from, like, the horrific stuff which isn’t funny but sure is a story to tell.
under the cut,
♥ What's the WORST thing that has happened to you rp wise? - oh god another one i- JKNMHKJNM how quickly can i summarize That One debacle. there was sb on tumblr i was friends with for a while in a small rpc who sent me homophobic news articles one night when i was sui*cidal due to some unfortunate politics tm happening at the time and so as u remember the entire small little community ended up cutting her off after that cuz wtf. found out she’d been pretending to be her own friend on another blog where she sent us harassing msgs about whatever after she got blocked. vagued us in her rules when she moved to other blogs but still passive aggressively followed & unfollowed us, sent us msgs, etc. yada yada w/e we all moved on but then a year or two later??? she popped up in another fandom and got anon hate abt whitewashing her black muse. blamed me for it & said my friends and i sent it (we did not, the person who sent it ended up taking responsibility) but not before starting a HUGE, HUGE public fight on our dashboards where she was literally @’ing us in posts and vice versa. unblocked her so she could come to my ims instead, immediately started crytyping and gaslighting me. closed my ims bc i decided actually i’d rather fight on the dash KJBNERKGJNM 😭😭 ended up having to write a callout that exposed all the times she’d been racist, homophobic, transphobic, + harassing/gaslighting us in ims and posts even after we’d all quietly blocked her and tried to move on. to this day i still think abt all the shit we had saved up over the year(s) proving everything and she still went off about us being the ones who were trying to defame her and harass her or whatever. that day made me feel like i was out of my mind. if you knew me back then on that blog and saw all of that i am so sorry, i put up with so much before it reached that point aaaaaaaaaa. i wish i’d handled it better but honestly i was still a teenager when it started n a young adult when it blew up and this grown ass (almost 30 yo??? iirc??) racist homophobe was coming for my throat i just didn’t know what to do kjnmhkhn feel bad for ppl who witnessed it. feel even worse for myself cuz i could’ve handled it in a way that hurt me less. the Trauma that experience gave me good lord.
NOT related to that ^ but more lighthearted, one time this person i was chill with messaged my literal closest friend at the time on this site and shit talked me to her. she proceeded to inform me of it bc we were like. very publicly good friends. idk what they were expecting. they got mad bc she “chose” me over them. it was so weird. and very funny kjnMKJNEMRHKJM

Fanfic Writer Questions
Was tagged by @jasminethetransvampire so I'll do this because I'm always passive-aggressively trying to get people to ask me about my fics on other sites.
Oh and what she said goes double for @kikicandoit and @vmunroe and @cubistemoji: you three can participate or not, I don't want to pressure you.
How many works do you have on AO3?
841, not counting individual chapters.
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
1,046,451
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Anything...though, according to my dashboard, I specialize in Homestuck, Chainsaw Man, Marvel Comics, Attack On Titan and Bleach. The most recent one I did outside of those categories was for an anime called Dai-Guard so...there you go.
4. What are your top 5 fics by Kudos?
Be patient with me, I don't know how to hyperlink:
For a while, the one-shot I was most proud of. With all its anachronisms and unapologetic crassness, I love this fic for being the first Kobeni/Quanxi fic I ever wrote and for fitting Chainsaw Man's aesthetic the most. I still maintain that this ship is the most likely to work in canon and their dynamic would work exactly like I showed it here. If there's one disappointment I have, it's that this isn't my most famous fic.
My longest chapter fic, the longest thing I actually wrote (counting my own goddamn novel) and probably the longest labor of love in the entire catalogue...and it's about a ship between a dead auxillary character and a supporting character. There goes my moral high ground to Ships That Pass In The Night...I worked on this fic every day, missing one for my birthday, and used a site called Mythica as a template for what to put in there. The concept is stupid, the plot is uneven, it doesn't really conclude so much as stop...and I love it more than anything. If I'm remembered for any piece of work, I want to be this. It's all my love for these interpretations of the characters put into one story. I will never regret uploading this.
Number 3 in the rankings. She's not my favorite but I'll give her this: she's earned it. Probably one of the darkest things I've written (counting Mamba Ugly) and one of my meaner depictions of Makima but either standalone or in my bizarro Chainsaw Man canon, this story shows exactly why everyone should fear the Control Devil. Talking myself up is weird; just read the fic if you haven't and tell me if you're creeped out or not.
...You know, I'm the one who wrote a mid M/M pairing for the yucks one day. I got what I deserved.
I don't really hate this fic so much I despise how it's my second most popular one. I pour sweat and tears into hundreds of F/F fics and this takes off? Really? Not Duty To The Party? I got literal death threats over that one!
Before anyone feels too sorry for me, my line of logic for this one was: "Pieck's pretty hot. It's a shame that there's not more yuri of her...how about I ship her with every named female character in the series?"
Yeah, all of them. The little girls crush on her or grow up to pursue her and everybody else...the tone shifts so I don't want to make anyone vomit but it gets pretty intense. This is kind of me at my worst, even compared to the above examples, so proceed with caution. I'm pretty sure this fic is only doing well because of all of the tags. It's definitely not the quality.
5. Do you respond to comments?
Constantly. Unless it's just "nice" or "emojis", I'll take the time to answer questions, say thank you or even just participate in good-natured dunking on me. I like questions about my headcanons and clarifying what happened in fics because I like to leave things ambiguous. If you're not just being an ass and or trying to get people riled up, leave me a note and I'll get back to you!
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
If not Bonus With No Pay Raise, it's probably Starved. The meanest I got to Kobeni and the most twisted I wrote Fami. Par for the course in how I write Makima though...pretty sure I killed Kobeni at the end but at that point, it was a mercy.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
The last part of Kobeni Has A Good Life, a collection of my Chainsaw Man Divergence series, has the one below called:
This gives me the fuzzies whenever I read it because I gay and it's a happy ending for Kobeni. Whatever happens next for her in this universe, I want to make sure she's content while doing it. And if you don't want to comb through THE ENDLESS DESERT that is KTQ, you're perfectly justified in stopping here.
8. Do you hate on fics?
I don't like the tags in a fic, I don't read it. Simple. I don't leave angry comments and I don't go and hate-read for the sake of it. When I see a fic that has a pairing or a situation that ticks me off, I just get inspired to write several more with my own tastes. That's my version of pettiness.
9. Do write smut? If so, what kind?
Tumblr media
Yeah.
I like intense stuff or, sparring that, weird stuff. Stuff that's fun to write and imagine, anything that gets me motor running or is entertaining to show through text. Smut is much easier for me to write so I write a lot of it, although I kind of want to more G rated stuff.
10. Do you write crossovers? If so, what's the craziest one you've written?
Tumblr media
Yeah.
Probably not the wildest crossover I wrote but this should fill you in on the fact that 1.) if I write a crossover, I probably put Homestuck in it and 2.) I like putting them in anime and Marvel. Speaking of:
Did you guys know there's a grown up version of Molly Hayes?
Tumblr media
This is the version I put with Homestuck characters in this non-continuity series. It's weird! Super weird!
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I don't think I have...but I get Spanish and Chinese comments on my fics sometimes so...maybe?
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nah but if I know the person, I'd be happy to.
14. What's your all-time-favorite ship?
For Chainsaw Man, I love my stupid made-up crack ship of Kobeni Higashiyama/Quanxi/Michiko Tendo. I'm also very partial to Powerbeni and AsaYuko. For Homestuck, I'm a basic Rosemary bitch who also loves the crossover ship (that only I am powerful enough to be privy to) of Feferi Peixes/Molly Hayes. I enjoy writing Mikasa/Historia more than I should and for Bleach...Sui-Feng/Happiness (re: any woman in the Soul Society...and Kanaya (see Crossover above...or just search for the fic. It's not hard to find.))
15. What's a WIP that you want to finish but probably never will?
Either the above mentioned Spice Rack or this one story about Terezi Pyrope and Molly Hayes traveling around and going on martial arts adventures. I had fun writing it but it wasn't getting attention and there was other stuff I wanted to do so I've just left it behind.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue, being "normal" about queers and portraying happy couples. I like F/F and M/M and while I get weird with it, I also want to show that weird can be happy. KTQ is mainly written for that purpose alone.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I rely on beige prose and can be too clinical when I'm trying to get through a scene. My smut scenes, ironically, tend to go by quickly because I rush through the actions to focus on the feelings. I honestly just like to show the characters hanging out through sex instead of putting it to paper, if that makes sense.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?
I use Google Translate and try to keep it simple. I dread the day someone in the comments tell me that I wrote complete gibberish...it's coming soon, I can feel it.
19. First Fandom you wrote for?
No More Heroes!
I wrote a couple of fics for No More Heroes, actually. It was my Chainsaw Man back in the day. I still love it now, especially for its music.
20. Favorite Fic you've ever written?
Three way tie between Alphabet, Closet Space and:
My first Homestuck/Runaways crossover, written when I was saner. It has typos, it's cringy, it's rushed at the end and YOU WILL LOVE IT OR I'LL DESTROY YOU.

I almost started throwing shit today and telling everyone what I really think
We talked about a calm and peaceful Christmas. But a month ago my Aunt ended up in the hospital. Several states away. She's been sick for no less than 2 years and has refused to go to the Dr. She had been taking massive amounts of Imodium. It was no longer working. She couldn't stand up without it not working. She and my Uncle left for their winter local anyway. Their WI ter local where no one is. No family or friends to help if they are in trouble. We'll it all hit the fan and surprise, she has cancer and is not able to travel home. I will spare the details but my Aunt and Uncle are in the running for a Darwin award.
All this is hitting my Mom hard because she has NO control. She HAS to have control. She calls it she can't ' help' but really she can't be there yelling at everyone and making a scene because her health won't allow it. But she talks to her brother nightly, and he apparently can't be bothered to get a notebook to write down the Dr names or what meds they want to prescribe his wife. Nope not heartless I am pissed at the stupidity. He literally said oh its another thing for me to carry.
Dude, if you want my sympathy because you love your wife so much, and now someone told you she is dying because apparently you were too stupid to notice before now, try not to tell me that carrying a fucking notebook to take notes about her care is too much for you!
He actually expects his sister, my mother, to take and maintain the information for him. My mother is not a well woman.
I know she wants to support him but fuck HE WANTS HER TO JUST DEAL WITH IT FOR HIM. HE COULDNT HELP HIS OWN MOTHER AND LEFT IT ALL ON MY MOTHER WTF
This brings us to Christmas. About 3 weeks ago my Mom decided our quiet 3 person Christmas was now a party.
She wants to have her niece over to give her something happy while her mother I so ill.
Saint, right?
Queue 3 weeks of how hard life is trying to get ready for party
3 weeks if what I have to do for party
3 weeks of my husband bitching that my cousin will bring her boy friend he hates to Christmas. Which includes 3 weeks of I'm not going
All while I must work to pay all our bills which include about $700 of beer a month and another couple hundred of cash back from grocery shopping to be used on scratch off lotteries
Did I mention I work in the 7th circle of Hell?
So we had the party. I got yelled at randomly for the sin of asking a question while my Mom was walking. Not a "wait I need to finish waht I was doing" A basic how can you be so fucking stupid as to ask me where something is in my house while I am walking through the kitchen. I got yelled at because I could not produce shredded cheddar cheese from one of the fridge bins. It wasnt there. I started to look in the other and got screamed at because I was looking in the wrong bin why wasnt I listening? She just sat down!!! Cheese was in the bin I was looking in. I got attitude for that. I did not move the cheese BTW.
There was some other drama that resulted in me being told that this is why one should always start early in case things go wrong (apparently I started something late). Don't remember what as I think I've begun to dissociate
People loved the party. I didn't put stuff away quick enough which I was passive aggressively told in front of some of the guests.
Also - this is the coldest Christmas in 30 years means. All the presents had to be distributed prior to Xmas because we may get snow ( we didnt) but basically, xmas morning was nothing. Just I got up late, and I didn't tell Mom that there is meat in Lasagne. So she had no meat. We talked. She got confused or forgot or whatever. She isn't having dangerous forgetfulness, just run of the mill she doesn't pay attention which is one of her lovable traits. Thank goodness the grocery store was open because the husband started bitching that I can't make lasagne with no meat. Vegetarians beg to differ Dear, but sure I will get dressed and run to the store in Xmas day.
Then I clearly didn't start dinner early enough. And my husband proceeds to tell I was using the wrong amount of sauce. Also my list of sins included:
Wanting to cook 2 boxes of pasta instead of one. Not getting a pot with a lid out for meatballs (we had meatballs, but I couldn't leave the meat out of the lasagne). He kept up a running commentary in the gas stove top as well.
I also had to help Mom operate Netflix because in 3 years, she still doesn't get it dispite multiple lessons and load pictures to Facebook, also 3 years and multiple lessons while making lasagne.
Cool cool - but I almost lost it
Everyone liked dinner. I did dishes.
And now the cable company is raising prices and I must read letter to figure it out. I 'made' her change cable plans. No no, my Dad died and I said she needed faster internet so if she needed me I could also work remotely at her house. I said I would pay. She won't take money. Cable compa y said - oh if you make changes you have to change everything (i.e. GOTCHA !! Pay us more that plan doesn't exist anymore and you can't just change your internet)
But yeah so now she has a plan price and the price increases are a la carte and not all components of her plan are in the a la carte list. So it's sorta impossible to see what the increase will be. It was determined that I HAD to read this tonight
Fuck I'm tired. And I don't know the answers but I really think a good scream is in order. Except that will wake everyone up and I don't have the energy to explain.
Merry Christmas
