Lore:

HC! Snail is a family of gastropods from the planet Exraterra. Snails are born in terrarium nests surrounded by their parents and their escargotiore (clan);

When Snails are old enough some choose to leave in little meteorite space ships to find humanoids to become their adopters, these escargotiores are called walks (Grian lore and my interpretation); They grow strong mutual bonds by imprinting (like Pokémon & Trainer "friendship");

Snails love annoying their adopter's friends, I believe this is because they can get attached to people really easily, but they use it as a form of reconn for the safety of their siblings (Grian's lore and also who wouldn't get attached to the hermits);

It has been documented that little G likes to eat buildings, materials include: rock types. They eat their meteorites (Gem's lighthouse);

Snails have the power to make duplicate illusions. But evidence is insufficient, documented once (little G seen at Gem's lighthouse and Doc's swamp at the same time);

Snail can teleport instantly if broken (When Grian broke them free from Gem's raft);

Little G is sometimes referred to as a fish, but we don't know if this is due to an unreliable narrator, or some hidden meaning (Grian called little G a fish when he noticed them on Gem's raft);

Snails can build very rudimentary things (Grian, Gem and Scar's stories)

Larry Jr is a Mega Giant snail, built by Ladypink and little G to prank scar.

Snails can be moved, we haven't been able to determine if this can be done by luring as well from picking them up, we believe it's mostly by picking them up due to the lack of a trail (Gem moving little G from her lighthouse to her raft and when gem rescued Ladypink Grian has also picked up little G multiple times);

Pleasure is not desire (though desire can be pleasurable)

Pleasure and desire are different systems in the brain. At the level of the emotional, mammalian brain, desire is known as “wanting” or “incentive salience”, and pleasure is discussed as “liking” or hedonic impact.

“Wanting”, in the brain, is a vast network of dopamine-related circuitry that mediates how motivated we are to pursue a goal. “Liking”, by contrast, is a set of smaller “hedonic hot spots” where opioids and endocannabinoids mediate how good a sensation feels.

Pleasure is stillness, savoring what’s happening in the moment. Desire is forward movement, exploring to create something that doesn’t currently exist.

Pleasure is a perception of a sensation. Desire is motivation toward a goal.

In a sense, pleasure is satisfaction and desire is dissatisfaction, because pleasure is enjoying an experience, while desire is motivation to pursue something different.

Consider the “wanting” involved in continuous, joyless scrolling on social media. You’re searching for something you can’t name, maybe for the reward of, at last, finding something that makes you feel good or that even confirms your worst fears. You want ... something. But you’re not enjoying it, you’re just following the urge to keep looking. Desire without pleasure.

What was filming like?  

We had a really good time on set. I had the great, immense, huge blessing of working with Charlie Cox, who is a really wonderful human and a very wise man and a very gifted actor. So I was in heaven for the whole time because I was like, I can't ask for a better time than this.

Do you have like a favourite memory from filming?

There was one scene with Charlie and I. We were in a house out in the sticks and we have a lot to talk about. We're like basically unravelling with one another, trying to come to terms with one another and come to an understanding. So there's a lot going on.

There's so many threads that are getting woven in this one scene.

Charlie and I went and rehearsed it with Sarah, the director. We got to a place within that scene that is like the magic of this job, it was freaking electric. We just got the emotional landscape of it. We got the intention, the intensity, we got the relationship, we got the lines. It was so much fun to shoot that scene.

It's what I live for because often in TV, you don't get that kind of time but they gave us that time for that scene. It was just electric and so much fun.

Would you like to do another series? 

Yeah man, of course. Absolutely. Matt is an amazing writer and human and the whole production team, I feel like there's a lot of good thought that gets put into the making of this show. It'd be an honour to work with those guys again.

I would work with Charlie Cox on anything at any moment at any time. He is just such a gem of a human being.

Do you think Charlie would make a good James Bond?

No. I don't think he'd make a good Bond because he has too much heart. You can see, he's a really good man and Bond can't be a very good man.

He's got honour and dignity, he's a freakin' ninja, you know, but being a good man isn't what he is. With Charlie, you can see his heart in his eyes. But maybe, he's also a very gifted actor, so [expletive] it.  

Maybe he was just putting this on because this is the character that he had to play. Maybe if he got given the chance to play by Bond, he would make a really badass ninja killer.
