Riddle- Handwritten notes lightly scented like roses ask you to come for tea, take him up on it. Spending time with you without the expectation of having to keep up with every single rule relaxes him immensely.

Trey- Icing on your nose, a teasing comment or two, and making your incoming complaining stop before it starts with a taste test. You're the one person he'll show off a little for, so long as its just the two of you.

Cater- Comfort, no need for the picture perfect smiles, the concealed, the makeup the filters- sitting in each other's company, holding onto the other as a reminder that reality is not quite as harsh as you remember since the other was a part of it.

Deuce- doting, anxiousness, fingertips brushing as bags are taken from your hands gently. Let him be who you rely on, let him show you he can be there for yoh the way he trusts you are there for him. Phone calls home, excited to tell his mom about you and memories you've made.

Ace- "You're an idiot" "I'm YOUR idiot", for anyone looking in they would think the two of you are enemies, but only at first glance. The silent communication as you lock eyes, his hand on your back to pull you away from things that make you uncomfortable, your hand on his shoulder to remind him when he should keep his mouth shut for his sake- a team. In private he needs to know that all the teasing is just that- so please hold him and play with his hair to remind him thats all it is.

Savanaclaw

Leona- "You look horrible. Come with me." Blunt to a fault, but it results in you in his arms, close and safe. Have you slept enough? Have you been taking care of yourself? He won't ask it out loud, but between his own stubborness and powers of delegation, he'll make sure you are taken care of. Soft purrs when you finally relax with him.

Ruggie- You don't remember packing any snacks, but magically there's one in your bag. He will never admit to it out loud, but he has a stronger stomach anyways. He can eat something else. You won't be going hungry, and that's whats important. You want to split it? Ah, damn maybe his stomach growling gave him away, but its that kind of kindness that made him want to look out for you. You're too soft!!

Jack- It takes a while before he's alright being openly cuddly, but he's always Right There. He always seems to know exactly what you need- the truth is he's been paying very close attention to you and your habits, and will ensure that you're happy as possible. You want to scratch behind his ears? He's not an actual dog- but fine. He'll bend down for you and pretend his tail isn't wagging a mile a minute.

Octavinelle

Azul- Solitude is something he's resigned himself to. He knows the tweels would turn on him on a dime if they so chose, and he's all but botched any other hopes at friendship. But for some reason you still seek him out. And for some reason, sharing his space isn't as bad as he thought it might be. Watching you sleep peacefully on his couch in his office makes him wonder what he did to make you feel so safe- but he's not complaining. Maybe you'd give him the same feeling if he could just get himself to try.

Jade- he's in awe of how little regard you seem to have for your well being. He just has to ask kindly and it seems you would follow him anywhere. As much as it nags in the back of his mind, he can't bring himself to act on any of his impulsive or intrusive thoughts. Especially when you listen to him ramble where others would ask him to stop.

Floyd- Throwing you. He's very physical. Maybe not throwing you or tackling you if its not something you cope well with, but its the novelty of knowing you'll come back. Whether its because of gravity or because he makes you laugh, you'll come back to him.

Scarabia

Kalim - Spontaneity. A blur of lines between what societal norms are for relationships, and just doing what makes you both happy. Life is so so short, so who cares if you hold hands or kiss each others heads and cheeks. Who cares if you fall asleep in each others arms. Let him explore with you, learn new things with you, travel with you. Life is better a minute at a time and he intends to spend as many minutes with you doing the things that excite the both of you as possible.

Jamil- Diligence. He pays attention to every possible detail. If you did the same for him, he may need a moment to process before accepting it.

Pomefiore

Vil- Political Incorrectness. So much hinges on what he says, how he acts, how he looks- with you he can speak freely. His opinions don't need careful wording. His disdain needs not be hidden. He doesn't need to sit like a lady nor eat like a gentleman. His laugh doesn't have to be his practiced melodic arpeggio but his real squawk. He trusts you wholly. Please reciprocate, so he feels like its ok.

Rook - Vulnerability. As much as he compliments other people, as hard as he works, he has never asked for praise. When he's in your arms, its quiet, almost like he didn't want you to hear him ask if you like him or you like what he says. Reassure him, praise him, and let him melt into you.

Epel - Having been raised on a farm he knows how to multitask and balance multiple responsibilities. He enjoys writing compliments on post its and slapping them onto you or around Ramshackle for you to discover- even if some of them are lightheartedly back handed. But his post its are also great to remind you when you have quizzes coming up or when you (mysteriously) need to go on another grocery run (for some items you've literally never had before but you know Vil wouldn't allow them at Pomefiore simply by the name of them).

Ignihyde

Idia- Hyperfixation rambler needs a listener. And its you. He loves the fact that if he doesn't feel up to talking though, you're perfectly happy just spending time in the same room together. But if you bring better snacks than he currently has on his room you Must Share. What do you mean he needs a real lunch first.

Ortho- baby brother!! He is still learning how to express love- or the idea of love to people other than his brother. But let him try!! He likes to "kiss" your forehead by bumping his face against yours, and makes happy little robot trills. Just tell him hes doing a great job. That's all he really needs.

Diasomnia

Malleus - journal entries he knows you'll never read. Beautiful black ink with a tinge of metallic forest green skillfully written in lovely calligraphy, lovingly filling the pages of his personal diary. Habits he has observed, his hopes for your future, and predictions of your past. Maybe one day he will read this to you, but for now he would rather spend his time having conversations to write later on. He will never let himself forget your importance.

Lilia- Silly silly old man. He wants to make every moment light, life is too short to simply dwell on possibilities, regrets and mistakes. Let him be the shoulder you cry on, so he can be the hand that helps you back up.

Silver - Dont lose faith in him. He knows that his narcolepsy can make it difficult to feel like he's genuinely there for you, but he swears to you he is. It's something he's still learning to navigate, please, just hold his hand through it all. He won't let go either.

Sebek - Gentleness. Its different coming from you than his father or Lilia or Silver. It's redirecting his attention from a minor incident to seeing his favourite bird. It's your hand squeezing his shoulder a bit before he yells so he has a moment to collect his thoughts. It's your honesty when he's fallen prey to another one of Lilia's tricks.

Bedtime routine:

Always has a cup of sleepy time tea before bed

Will force you to drink one too (because you both have no sleep schedule <3)

For nights where you both go to sleep on time, skin care routine

Hear me out.... I'm talking face masks, creams the full sends baby

Once all of that is taken care of y'all will eventually change into whatever you sleep in (Oliver-sensei outted Ike the other day for sleeping in only boxers lmfao but that's not relevant)

He will spend at least an hour reading in bed before falling asleep, be prepared with a sleeping eye mask maybe?

Or start a night time books club with him because he will not change this

He is a novelist after all

Once he's done reading and the glasses come off, one of two things will happen

He will fall asleep immediately

Or you guys will be up for the majority of the night talking about deep stuff

You know those sleepovers you have with your homies where it gets deep, that's what I mean

Regardless what time you pass out you are sure to sleep safe next to Ike!

Ike doesn't strike me as a guy who likes to cuddle in bed, if anything you accidently snuggle up to him he'll shuffle away from you

He sometimes will fall asleep at his desk which is a habit he only started since streaming, back when he was novelist he didn't have this problem for some reason

Ike sleeps with like one blanket? I hope you like the cold &lt;3

Bedtime routine:

I feel like Mysta's bedtime routine is a wildcard, you never know what he's gunna be doing to eventually end up in bed

You brush your teeth and he goes "OoOOoh I knew I was forgetting to do something."

Sleeping feels more like a chore to him then a necessity

You'll catch this man up at 3 am playing Minecraft and he'll still be like "Oh shit, is it bedtime?"

He's a piece of work to even get him to start to migrate towards the bedroom

Once he finally changes and lays down; he's kind of like Ike, where he'll immediately pass out or will spend hours talking to you

However the conversations are more like "Why is cheddar cheese orange do you think?"

GOOGLE IT IDK I'M TIRED

Once he finally falls asleep he 100% mumbles in his sleep, you find it endearing as you slip on a pair of headphones or earplug's

Opposed to Ike; you will wake up either cuddling or being cuddled by Mysta

Despite the struggle to get this man into bed, he sleeps better next to someone

Known to occasionally sleep walk

You found him in the bathtub one time it was kinda scary

He firmly denies this ever happened

Bedtime Routine:

Vox is very ritualist when it comes to bedtime

He's also a very sleepy demon and enjoys maximizing his sleep to its full extent

So with him it's very "no nonsense"

He takes a shower

Blow-dries and cares for his hair

He brushes his teeth (While still in a towel)

Again h e a r m e o u t....

He's a voice demon that came back to life, he has a skincare routine for bedtime (Still in a towel btw)

All luxury products of course

After that he change into something comfy

For some reason after all of that this man sleeps in mismatched socks like a sociopathy

Once y'all lay down he'll watch some stupid memes on his phone of a bit or do some light reading

There is no in between

Once he's done however he is out like a light, usually within an arms reach of you

It's funny because he insists it's entirely your doing

On the rare occasions where he can't sleep he'll get up and cook something

He says it helps him relax

The delicious aroma however wakes you up and the two of you share a lovely midnight snack

Luca tends to stay up really late

This is partial because of old work habits (if no ones awake to see you get rid of a body then it isn't a problem)

Luca like Vox though has bit of a ritualist bedtime getting ready routine though

Brush teeth

Change

Without fall no matter how late into the night (morning) it is

Once in bed, he crashes

The man is out like a light

I think because his bedroom is definitely his own space he feels at ease and can just doze off

It does help that he has a very nice bed I guess too

Once again you know you can sleep safe next to Luca, he wouldn't let anything disturb you

Like Mysta, Luca does occasionally talks in his sleep, but not nearly as loud as Mysta does

He doesn't strike me as the cuddling type either, i think if you tired it wake him up

Despite being able to sleep easily he also wakes up super easily

Again probably due to his pat

Fear not though, once Luca let's his gaurd down again he passses out pretty quickly again

Shu, like Ike, has a big cup of tea before bed

He swears up and down that drinking something warm before bed gets you to sleep faster

He's also diligent with his night time hygiene needs

Even though this was a common occurrence, Johnny asking you to a movie or Dairy Queen, you kept debating whether he just wanted to be friends or not. Johnny hung out with Pony and Dally all the time; maybe he just saw quality time as a thing necessary for his friendships? Or was Two-Bit and Pony correct in that Johnny liked you?

“Yeah! I would love to!” You said, never to refuse him. Obviously, as anyone would, you liked Johnny in a way that could only be described as a schoolgirl crush intensified by one hundred. “I’ll see you in English?”

“Yeah!”

“Great,” you waved goodbye to him, meeting up with Two-Bit in the halls of your school. 

Two-Bit, with a grin that stretched ear to ear, snickered out, “You, my friend, are an idiot.”

“Not this again,” you sighed.

“Listen, kid,” he slung an arm around you. “This is a clear as broad daylight thing. The fact that you don’t see Johnny Cade’s crush for you is shockingly sad.”

“Two, I know I have a crush on him,” you started, “but I don’t know if he has a crush on me. And before you argue, he just went to the drive- in with Pony two days ago. Why am I any different?”

“Because he went with Pony, Dally, and Soda!” Two-Bit laughed out loud at your blindness. “Three other people! I haven’t seen him asking Darry or me to the drive-in tonight. He only asked you. Kid,” he looked down at you, a brotherly sternness coming over him. “I have heard from Johnny’s mouth itself that he likes you. Just go to the dang drive- in and tell him how you feel! We’re all rooting for you!” His voice lowered, “though if you could wait two weeks, you would really help me win ten dollars…” 

You pushed Two-Bit away from you, scoffing. However, his words didn’t leave your head throughout the day. Through English, the walk home, and while you were getting ready, Two’s words ran through your head.

“Hey Y/n,” Johnny smiled when he picked you up at your house. 

“Hi!” You took Johnny’s arm, as a bit of a joke, while you guys walked to the drive-in. After a while of silence, Johnny looking over at you curiously as conversation usually flowed easily between you, you said, “Two-Bit said something weird. He said that he heard that you liked me?”

“Well, yeah.” Johnny was taken aback by the suddenness of your words and turned bright red but tried to play it off. “You’re a cool friend. If I didn’t like you, why would I hang out with you?” He chuckled lightly, rubbing the back of his neck.

YAYYYY ok. i'll start off with the demon soulmate ones (not specific to them) since someone else asked to hear about that as well. this is very long sorry

SO. all demons are born with a special kind of semi-immortality (able to be killed but unable die from age) where their lives are connected to a mortal soulmate(s). soulmate in this context has no inherent romantic or sexual connotations; soulmates can be strictly platonic, romantic, sexual, or anything in between. they dont even necessarily have to spend their lives with each other, it's purely the bond and the connections between their lives.

soulmate bonds exist from the moment all parties are alive, but the demon doesn't get the instinct to seek them out until the age of 18. the demon will follow this instinct and once they meet their soulmate(s), their lives will be connected from there on.

if the demon decides not to seek them out for whatever reason, they'll still naturally be drawn to them. however, if by bad luck or purposeful avoidance they dont meet their soulmate(s) by age 50, then they'll just Die. for this reason most dont avoid their soulmates but there are some who choose this lonesome dangerous lifestyle; choosing a set-in-stone 50 year lifespan over one tied to a mortal's lifespan, which could end up being cut short.

if the demon has already met their soulmate(s) before the age of 18, then nothing really changes. they still don't KNOW they're soulmates until they turn 18, and then once they do the connected lives come into effect.

these mortal soulmates have historically been humans, which is what led to the horned human variant coming into existence a long LONGGG time ago. these are different from demon-human hybrids, as over the years they've become their own subspecies. the horned human variant is still considered fully human, just with horns and a tail. this is what c!tommy is, while c!eryn is an actual demon-human hybrid. here's this old chart i made to illustrate the differences:

demon-human hybrids don't have quite as good of a sense for locating their soulmate(s) as full demons; they'll still naturally be drawn to them but won't really be aware of it until the bond has been forged, unlike a full demon.

^ this is all obviously expanded upon from bad and skeppy's canonical soulmate bond btw.

ANYWAYS so that brings us to labduo. (i forgot they were called that btw. awesome) basically they're soulmates, but as per the way this all works, eryn doesnt realize this until they turn 18. and that's when he's like ummmm tommy. i think we're soulmates lol. and tommy is like wot. rlly? ok. and that basically is it LOL. tommy lives with tubbo and ranboo in the future to me, i dont think eryn and tommy would be attached at the hip soulmates. eryn would probably go off on his own adventures and come back every so often to catch up, rest at the benchtrio house, etc. rolewise they're like the distant uncle who randomly shows up from time to time LOL.

when it comes to other hcs for them ummm i dont actually have a lot. i think they figured out they were trans around the same time, like pre-puberty, and that was something that rlly brought them together. eryn tried to cut tommy's hair and it was a disaster. for anything more read this comic i made a while back

for me tommy was just this scrappy kid who showed up at the village stealing bread and shit, until he befriended eryn and was taken in by eryn's mom. ive never given tommy's actual origins much thought, as i dont think it rlly matters to me. the thing thats important is that he was an orphan from a young age. as much as i think the lab stuff can be cool i think i do just imagine him to have had normal parents and. Something happened where he did not have them anymore. young enough where he didnt have memories of them or anything. idk

OH and rq to explain this doodle in the context of all this. its basically just eryn saying that it's a good thing all of tommy's trauma and deaths happened BEFORE their soulmate bond existed or else it would've happened to eryn too lol

Finished watching hazbin hotel and uh

Spoilers under cut plz don't come for me, I did enjoy the show.

Written at 3am not proofread or edited

While I did enjoy it, it was hard to actually feel any sort of attachment to the characters. I'll do research in a bit since I heard that Amazon Prime only gave them a limited amount of episodes to work with, but regardless, the pace was way too fast. I didn't even realize five months passed because it felt like it was only a week after Charlie's meeting with Adam.

Almost little to no showing of Angel Dust's and Sir Pentious' character development. Angel dust was more focused on, which makes since since he's the original resident of the hotel, the original sinner who agreed to the Hazbin Hotel project.

Yet it was Sir Pentious who got sent to heaven? Don't get me wrong, I think it's great he got sent there, however, in a narrative sense, it doesn't make sense. Throughout the episodes it was indeed that he wasn't a 'bad' guy, more so socially awkward who wanted a place in Hell but couldn't get one. But tell me, was a single episode, not including the last one, that Sir Pentious was the center of attention? Aside from being caught as a spy for Vox?

Aside from the episode where Charlie and Vaggie went to heaven for a meeting and they were watching ANGEL DUST? It was shown he had a crush on Cherri sure, that he was trying his best to get her attention/hook up with her but like... That didn't show me much about his character.

Just that he's a socially awkward shy mess around his crush is understandable, I was like that too. But that's it. Aside from the scene he got dragged into the 'sex room' after announcing he was going to have sex with everyone in the club/bar.

Keep in mind that this ep was supposed to be centering around Angel Dust back in Hell while heaven watched.

And yes, I know it was shown he would die for his friends but to me that barely says anything about a character at all. Just that they care about their friends which is usually the case for many people.

Imo, there was absolutely no hinting at Sir Pentious going to heaven. The series barely focused on him at all, even his eggs/minions were given more attention with Alastor.

Which, btw, are adorable and I wish they were shown more and interacted with the other characters more as well.

Enough about Sir Pentious - now let's talk about the Husk x Angel Dust ship

I like the idea, I can see it happening, and I'm so glad Vizipop didn't immediately get them together, if they are end game. I heard the Twitter said they were but I haven't looked at it yet so I'm not sure if it's true or not. But God, I wish we got more interactions between them. The chemistry is there, both platonic if they aren't meant to be a couple, and romantic if they are.

Niffty - I love you my little bug obsessed queen. But, while it was slightly amusing she was the one who killed Adam, it was also slightly... Disappointing? Like, all of this man power used against him and what killed him was Niffty? Obviously it was to take the audience by surprise, but it doesn't sit right with me. It held no substance - literally just Vizipop going "they'll never expect this!!" And that's it. Just to catch us off guard and was slightly taken as a joke before Lute went to him where the scene became serious again. Which would have been heart touching if their relationship was more drawn out. Show don't tell type of stuff. Which it was but not much.

Also, I did see a post that I'll most likely add here that said Adam most likely felt betrayed by the humans who sinned because he did so much for them as the original human, as shown by the line "ungrateful losers." Which makes sense and I kinda hope that is the case because he does seem very bitter towards the sinners who are, in some regard, still his people - they were still human, at some point. I really hope that they'll be able to show us in detail about how Adam was as a person rather than the Angel and original human known as 'Adam.' His character wasn't deep and it felt more like Vizipop needed a villain to shit on more than anything else.

The reveal about Vaggie being a former Exorcist was foreseen by many, meanwhile i thought she was the daughter of carmilla carmine because they look similar + implied military like background before the reveal + the duet they had when Carmilla was talking to Zetial and Vaggie singing about how she wants to protect Charlie or something. Ig they had the 'duet' because they were both about protecting someone. But I do like how Carmilla was like "bro it's so obvious you're a former Exorcist - the eye, the fucking angelic weapon you have there."

What I didn't like about the reveal was how Charlie just... Hated the fact she lied? I think anyone would be upset about that, I would be, but that's just it. She's just upset she lied which again, makes sense. But Vaggie killed her people, Adam even said she was one of his best girls. Meaning she probably killed hundreds if not more - and charlie wasn't upset about that part? She did question if their relationship was a lie, which makes sense, but the genocide of her people, the one that her gf took part in, wasn't mentioned after it was first revealed to her. That part was literally just... Thrown out the window. And on multiple occasions it was both shown and told that Charile, the princess of hell, loved her people. But it looked like the team/Vizipop decided to forget that part when it comes to the big reveal that Vaggie was an angel or whatever you want to call her.

I do like how In the end, the audience is reminded that Alastor is not a good guy. He's a horrible person, treating Husk like a pet and most likely only lets Niffy do as she pleases because he finds it amusing. Either that or they have a lot in common, and I do mean a lot. I wish this relationship between the three was shown more, developed more. But if I must add... Some scenes with Alastor... Truly felt like a Tumblr moment. Fan fiction. BUT I adore how at the end he's weak compared to some and that his deal is most likely the only reason he has any power at all. The mini break down he has? Beautiful. Prior to this he was shown and told to be this all powerful being until Zetal stepped into the ring, until Adam fucking bodied him which I love. He's a coward, he's awful, he's horrible but is shown to be able to feel attachment - I don't think he truly cares for the hotel staff. There might be a fondness but no real connection which is shown, thankfully instead of it just being told.

Then there's the discourse of his usage of Voodoo... I'm not properly educated in the practice so I have no right to comment on it.

Lucifer... My dorky little man... Beyond depressed just like me /j

I like him, love him even. But I was hoping he would be a bit more... Sinister. Instead he's a broken man who gave up on nearly everything but his daughter. Which I kinda like but also don't - it's a love hate relationship. But he's adorable so he gets a pass

Okay. I'm going to be the one who says it - I don't like Charlie's and Lucifer's demonic forms. They look nice, sure, but not king and princess of hell -like. It gives off Tumblr girl vibes which is fine. But I still don't like it. Literally uwu human cats. Which is adorable but adorable does not fit well with... Whatever this is. I wish it was more... Animalistic, barred fangs, skin stretching out, more like a demon you would typically imagine.

Also, while I do understand why Charlie didn't want to kill Adam it was... Bleh. Like girl, you already killer many of his Soilders why would you let their leader live? Idk maybe I'm thinking about it in the wrong way.

The three Vees/V's.. All horrible as ppl, especially Vlatoino, the other two as just as bad since they know what's going on and are either ignoring it or encouraging it. Vox is a slaty ex and Velveet(?) Is just trying to vibe but the other two won't let her.

Again, ironic considering what I write. As I always say - I don't condone any sort of abuse, sexual or otherwise, in real life.

Also did Lucifer sleep with Eve?

Why did Vizipop say him and Lilith were HAPPILY married when she's on a beach sun tanning in heaven and he's always 5 seconds away from jumping off the nearest building?

So many questions that will hopefully get answered in the 2nd season. And hopefully they'll be able to flesh out the characters and their backgrounds more, their personalities and how they either improve or decline as a person/character.

I have more to say but it's 3am and I'm pretty sure this is gonna get me death threats because hey, it's the internet. Just look at Twitter lol.

Please remember that I am not a film critic, I am just stating how I feel about it.

I watched it, enjoyed it, but still have icks about certain things with it, as anyone else would. Would I watch season 2? Yes, because I like the overall concept but I just wish they were able to do more with it.

I had someone ask if I would write for it, and honestly, I don't know. Maybe, maybe not, only time will tell.

CRK/CROB Valentine's Day HC 4-4

Final one!! Might as well get it done before the month is over, sorry it took so long.

As always, I'll be doing one Romantic, one Platonic, and Familial headcanons. I labeled them so no one can call me out for shipping children with adults (DISGUSTING).

Romantic- Wind Archer x Stardust

(I blame a fanfic for making me ship this, and I love it. Also, I like Zephyr of Life)

-Met at Galaxy Lake while Stardust decided to travel around Earthbread. Wind Archer thought he was a threat at first, but Stardust explained his story.

-Wind Archer gives Stardust a tour around the Millennial Forest, explaining the creatures and types of plants living here. Stardust is amazed by everything he sees.

-Secret meetings during the night, Wind Archer waiting for Stardust at the tallest tree in the forest

-Millennial Tree and Moonlight greatly approve of their relationship, the goddess of dreams happy that her brother has found someone to connect to.

-Not exactly used to nicknames, but Stardust likes to refer to Wind Archer "midday star' or " quiet yet gentle archer"

Platonic- Peppermint, Squid Ink, Mango, and Sorbet Shark

-Sea Squad!!

-All children of a legendary(besides Sorbet)

-Mango gives his friends free rides on his canoe, Sorbet pulls it along whenever Mango gets tired.

-Squid Ink keeps a trinket that reminds them of the other three. Peppermint: A blue seashell, Mango: a toucan plushie, and Sorbet: A pirate hat with teeth marks on it

Sorbet tells their friends pirate stories they were from Pirate and Captain Caviar. It sometimes spooks Squid a bit.

-Peppermint creates bubbles from their conch shell to cool off Squid and Sorbet on hot days while treasure hunting on islands.

Familial- Black Raisin, Espresso, Strawberry Crepe

-Spy x family dynamic

-Strawberry likes to be held when they're tired, so you'll find them either in the arms of Espresso or Black Raisin.

-Got to know each other once Espresso moved to the Vanilla Kingdom. Black Raisin was skeptical at first, but they noticed that Strawberry Crepe had taken a liking to them. Raisin got to know Espresso better, due to the good word Pure Vanilla put in.

-Espresso is Strawberry Crepe's magic goth dad and Black Raisin is their strong emo mother (platonic and/or romantic) Espresso and Crepe are working together to make Black Raisin a new arm. its going well.

-Both Strawberry Crepe and Espresso have bad sleeping habits. When Black Raisin finds one or both asleep (Espresso at his desk or Crepe near their wafflebots), she would put them to bed.

-Espresso and Strawberry Crepe stay up to see Black Raisin when she comes home from her patrols.

As Head Engineer of the Invincible II, Mark has a lot of responsibilities on and off the ship. Whether it’s keeping up with the ship’s many, many systems or designing machinery to help the colonists down on the surface, there’s always something for him to do, something for him to fix. And he likes it that way. He likes being helpful, being needed. 

Which is why he’s found himself here - doing laps around the Main Control console, checking the communicator on his wrist every few minutes, and trying not to feel helpless. 

Gunther and the Captain have gone planetside to deal with a mob of hostile animals that has been terrorizing the colony ever since they’d arrived. Normally something so trivial wouldn’t be a job for the Captain but they’d insisted, desperate to get their boots on solid ground. Mark had asked to go as well but the Captain denied the request. After all, someone needed to stay to keep an eye on the ship and the only other person on board with the qualifications was Mack and the Captain would die before they left him in charge. 

So Mark waited…and waited……and waited. 

He was sure it had been hours, maybe even days. The Captain and Gunther were likely already dead, fallen prey to the aliens who would surely leave nothing but their bones left to be found. What if he never sees the Captain again? Who will run the colony? Who will captain the ship now that they were gone? Surely he couldn’t do it. He wasn’t ready for that kind of responsibility, that kind of pressure. Would they even have the resources for a proper funeral? Who would be able to fight off the monsters to retrieve their remains? Oh, ye cruel fate! They were so young! They were so-

Mark checks the time on his communicator. 

It hasn’t even been an hour. 

So…maybe it’s not the animals he’s really worried about. Maybe, and he feels silly even considering it, maybe not having the Captain at his side makes him a little nervous. From the moment they had been elected by the Board for the position of Captain, they had never been very far away, overseeing every detail as the Invincible was rebuilt. Mark thinks maybe that’s why the original ship didn’t make it through its maiden voyage, there was no one else on board to rival his meticulous care of the vessel as it was being built. And sure, maybe the Captain couldn’t tell the difference between a plasma contractor and an electromagnetic thruster, but they did their best. 

And now, after what the two of them had dubbed the C.F.W.I. or Crazy Fucking Wormhole Incident, Mark made sure they were never more than an arm's width away. After everything they’d been through, he thinks he deserves to feel a little cautious, especially now that the two of them are…whatever they are to each other. 

Which is why, the second his communicator pings, Mark almost falls forward as he stops dead in what feels like his millionth lap around the room to read the message. 

Threat taken care of. Coming back up. Gunther needs minor medical attention.

Mark turns on his heel and sprints to the Hangar, stopping by the Medbay to let them know Gunther would be heading over shortly. 

Soon enough, the shuttle docks. The Captain steps out of the ship, supporting Gunther’s weight with an arm tight around his waist. Mark rushes over to his other side.

“You said minor medical attention.”

Gunther waves him off. “I’m all good, just a flesh wound and all that. I’m just dizzy from the blood loss.”

Mark sighs with a shake of his head and helps the Captain get Gunther to Medbay. Once they’ve dropped him on one of the cots, Mark turns to the Captain.

“Are you alright? Did you get hurt at all?”

“I’m fine, Mark, really. Thank you for the concern.”

He squints his eyes, looking them up and down before nodding. “I trust your word, Captain. So how did it go?”

They shrug. “Nothing we couldn’t handle. It was nice to get out on the field again, I missed the action.”

The Captain’s eyes are beginning to droop, eyelids feeling heavy. 

“Are you sure you’re alright, Captain?”

“Yeah, I just need to go lay down, I think. All this time in space has got me out of shape.”

“...Okay, but you let me know if there’s anything I can do for you, yeah?”

They reach out and stroke the side of his face gently. “Of course, Mark.”

It’s been four hours since the Captain left for their quarters and Mark hasn’t heard a peep from them. It’s unlike them to take naps, especially during working hours, so he decides to go check and make sure they’re okay. 

Mark stops in front of their door, pressing the little button above the scanner to ping them. When there’s no answer, he frowns, sending them another message from his communicator. After waiting a few minutes with no response, Mark decides to just go in. Maybe the Captain would be grumpy at him for interrupting their rest, but at least he would know they were okay. 

He presses his hand to the scanner and the door slides open. The room is quiet, too quiet. Usually, the Captain sleeps with white noise or one of the audiobooks Burt had recommended but there’s nothing. 

“Captain?”

Mark tiptoes into their bedroom, heart freezing in his chest at the sight before him. The Captain is curled up in a ball on top of the sheets, face unnaturally pallid. They’re trembling and when he gets closer, Mark is horrified to see all the blood staining the sheets. 

He cries their name, grabbing their shoulders and turning them onto their back. 

“Captain? Captain, can you hear me?”

The Captain raises a hand, trying to push him away weakly. 

“M’okay, j-just tired.”

“Like hell you’re okay! You’re bleeding!”

“Just a scratch, m’fine.”

“Yeah, sure you are. Why didn’t you go get patched up in the medbay?”

“Crew comes first.”

Mark sighs. Normally, the Captain’s care for the people under their command would be admirable if it wasn’t the reason they were practically bleeding out. He grabs the emergency first aid kit from the bathroom and sits down on the edge of the bed. Carefully, he pulls off their captain’s jacket and unzips their jumpsuit, pushing it off their shoulders. 

“Buy me dinner first,” they mumble.

He chuckles. “Once the colony has a place for me to buy you dinner, I will.”

There are three long gashes on the Captain’s side. Thankfully, they’re not as deep as Mark had originally thought, missing all their internal organs. He gets to work disinfecting the wounds, shushing them when they whine at the sting. Mark’s touches are gentle and tender, careful not to cause them any more pain. He stitches the wounds up with a practiced hand; a small benefit of traveling helplessly through an infinite multiverse - you have an endless amount of time and opportunities to learn how to patch up wounds. 

Once he’s done, the Head Engineer washes his hands in the bathroom and fills a glass with water, returning to the Captain’s side. He tilts their head up, helping them to take a few sips. 

“We should really get you to the Medbay, Captain.”

“Later. Just sit with me for a bit.”

The Captain gives him their best puppy dog eyes and he sighs with a shake of his head; they know he’d do anything they ask of him when they give him that look. Mark sits down next to them with his back against the headboard, running a hand through their hair. 

“You scared me, you know.”

“I’m sorry, I didn’t want to worry anyone.”

“So bleeding out alone is the solution? You don’t think that’s going to worry people even more?”

“Well…”

“Captain, you’re allowed to be cared for just as much as anyone else on this ship. And if you can’t let anyone else do it, then at least let me. I don’t know what I’d do if something happened to you. Well…I do know.”

“I’m sorry. It was stupid of me, wasn’t it? I can’t take care of the ship if I’m not at my best.”

“You’re worth more than your ability to take care of the ship, you have to understand that, right? Everyone on this ship wants you to be happy and healthy, not because it makes you a better Captain, but because we care about you. You’re worth caring about.”

The Captain doesn’t say anything at that, too lost in thought. Mark takes one of their hands between his and presses it to his lips. 

“Promise me, you won’t do this again.”

“But-”

“Don’t.” He gives them a stern look. “Promise me.”

“I promise.”

“Good, now seriously, we need to get you to the Medbay. The longer we wait, the angrier Dr. Iplier is going to be with me for not bringing you down sooner. You don’t want me to get in trouble, do you?”

The reason this is number one is because out of all of the relationships this is the one that is strictly platonic

Like yeah romantic relationships aren’t bad but

Out of all the relationships this one is the most demanding and pure

I mean not to spoil but Naomi is literally taken to the Entity’s realm and Denali is taken there simply because her need to find her friend is so strong!!!!

Like she doesn’t care that she’s being killed every single day

She’s just happy that she’s found her friend that went missing

And loves her friend so much that she’s willing to be permakilled to get her back home

2) Sebastian x Reader (When You Fall)

From When You Fall which is a Stardew Valley fanfiction

The least toxic out of the romantic relationships

And by least toxic I don’t think they’re toxic at all

Like even if there’s a little angst (there’s gonna be a little angst btw) they’re a strong couple

Actually makes each other better rather than making each other worse.

They love each other for who they are including all of their flaws and they would be number one if Denali and Naomi didn’t have a relationship that goes above and beyond.

Like what kind of person would help you through your depression?

A person that loves you that’s who.

Like 80 years from now the two will be old and grey and still acting as if they’re in the honeymoon phase

3) Eden x Eleventh Doctor (The Garden of Eden)

From an unpublished Doctor who fanfiction that I am in the process of writing

Here is where we’re getting into the ohhhh this relationship is kinda toxic really

And it’s a shame they’re number THREE on the list lmao what does that say about my writing?

They are constantly arguing (90 percent not in a serious way)

And Eden sort of sees the Doctor as a God due to how they met which puts him on a pedestal

BUT the relationship doesn’t start off romantic which I think is healthy for them

And they are both fiercely protective of one another due to how long she’s spent traveling with him

So while she does see him as a God it isn’t in a very obvious or serious way unless you can see inside of her head as she doesn’t treat him as such at all.

Also a very goofy relationship overall

4) Grace x Seth Clearwater (unnamed fic)

It’s an unwritten and unnamed Twilight Fic that I might post when I’m done with the whole thing lmao

The only reason they’re number four is that I think that him imprinting on her is taking away his choice

Like yes they would probably still end up together regardless of if he had the ability to imprint or not because they’re soulmates

But him having the trait does take away the ability to actually choose

Like it’s literally a one look and that’s it thing. It forces you to live someone platonically or not so he doesn’t have a say in the matter

BUT the two do genuinely love each other so so so much that after their angst is done they’re inseparable

Which again sorta toxic when it’s a codependent relationship but they actually RARELY argue

Seth is actually so sweet that again after the angst is done they might have an argument once every like 5 years.

5)Quinn x Spencer Reid (Baby Blue)

From my Criminal minds fic that is currently posted on ao3 that I am debating on posting here.

Actually they argue so often

If he hadn’t have gotten her pregnant in a one night stand they would have still met and would have a love hate relationship

Like without the baby they would be an enemies to lovers trip but instead he immediately and accidentally got her pregnant so now they’re stuck with each other

Do genuinely love each other and after they finally figure out that they have feelings for each other everything calms down

But with her being pregnant and them not being in a relationship and then the jealousy and miscommunication everything is just toxic

Like could they tell each other that they accidentally fell in love with the other and they wanna try to have a relationship?

Yes.

Will they?

No.

But again after the drama they’re actually a very affectionate couple that manages to keep their passion into their old age

6) Ashanti x Cárter Walsh-Kim (unnamed fic)

From my deleted twilight fic

While he isn’t a main main character he serves to be the Jacob of the plot but they actually dare and he doesn’t force himself on her or fall in love with her future child :)

They’re a healthy college age couple?

Kinda boring but not toxic at all until Emmett enters the mix

They’re stable and comfortable and honestly would be endgame if it wasn’t for Emmett

She loved him and he loved her not much else to say. They’re low because they break up lmao

7) Ashanti x Emmett Cullen (unnamed fic)

From the same deleted fic as above I might rewrite and repost

toxic because they can’t figure out if they wanna be together or not

Like actually they have a really good relationship when they’re not arguing and he’s being a wannabe Edward with his angst

Like when they’re not fighting a great comedic duo

And he’s her biggest supporter and she’s his.

And while I know I just compared him to Edward they don’t have the whole turn me I don’t wanna turn you drama like it’s a very easy discussion and decision

He’s literally just hung up on Rosalie and that’s where the drama comes from

And the arguing kinda makes some of his old human traits reappear

8) Fawn x Johnny Slaughter (Accidental Prey)

A Texas chainsaw massacre fanfiction that isn’t finished

Would be lower because he’s actually a murder and is keeping her hostage????????????

Like he’s forcing her to live with his murderous cannibalistic family

And he kinda abusive

But he’s genuinely in love with her (more like obsessed)

And hes the only reason that she’s alive

I can’t spoil the end but dude LOVES her more than Johnny in my other fanfics loves their partner more than just being possessive and obsessive

9) Bucky Barnes x Reader (Mr.Right)

From a deleted marvel fic that I haven’t finished and probably won’t until I get the urge

These two just absolutely JUMPED into a relationship without thinking about it

And tbh idk if they’ll last or not but they do currently love each other

It’s super middle/high school vibes but they do have a good relationship

He’s an assassin though

And has gotten them almost killed

And has taught them how to murder people

And is actually kinda a fucked up guy AND relationship because they kinda lose their mind.

But the reason why it isn’t is because Corinne is no longer stuck with him

He physically, verbally, and emotionally abused her

Forced her to kill their child because the police were close to catching them and a child would slow them down

Constantly cheated on her with victims after he kidnapped her and forced her to live with him and his family

He doesn’t really love her (he thinks he does) he really just sees her as a possession.

13) Peter Parker x Reader (the Beauty of You)

A marvel fanfic that I deleted that is a You AU so Peter is in the role of Joe lmao

While he isn’t abusive he is VERY manipulative which is mentally abusive

Has murdered people to get to Reader

Has threatened to kill them

They’re lower than Corinne because Reader is stuck with him like until they die

Isolates them from literally everyone and uses his powers to keep them isolated and needing him

Reader is also stuck with him for life

And this relationship is kinda romantic but the reader is being held hostage as some sort of slave

Like dude doesn’t actually love her just wants to keep his place

And unlike the other bad guys he literally has the ability to make them immortal

Like there’s no love at all, Reader is just possessed/enchanted to be okay with this.

Here's some AO3 statistics on my stories instead!

Under the cut of you're a nerd like me and morbidly curious as to what hits big in my fics specifically.

So, from my first fics on AO3 all the way back in 2016 to 2023, here's my top stories from kudos, which is a harder metric to hit compared to well, hits.

Btw, just realized that the by year filter is based on update not when it's written, so as long as it was updated in that year it makes the list.

As you can see this is also the year I got into Undertale. "We Are Falling" being my first Undertale fic with the zanny OC 'Tumble', AFAB nonbinary older sibling to Frisk. Mostly a story of crack taken more or less seriously.

Not at all surprised the HP crossover fic "Determined Magics" tops it cause well... It's HP and also written when the crossovers were very few and mostly drabbles. "Hopeful Magic" is the dropped sequel because I had no idea how to continue the story at a decent length and eventually forgot what little plans I did have. It was very hard to decide to officially drop it and I'm still upset it had to be done to this day.

Similarly, "It's going Tibia A Cute Time" was dropped for similar reasons because i started including more details I had no idea how to close out than when I first started. This one featuring an OC essentially raising the skeleton brothers. It was a whole thing.

"Sketchy as Hell" is actually my first romance fic and stars an OC named "Anna" in the AU verse "Underfell", which for the uninitiated is basically edgy Undertale. Wild times. "Colorful as Hell" is the sequel. It is in fact totally finished.

"Shadows in the Ice" just didn't have enough story and nothing I thought of would pad it out into an acceptable length for me, so it was also dropped after a very long time and much reluctant deliberation. At best, this story would be more of a short story. It is based off of a movie after all. Not a lot of plot to start with.

And this is for only this year alone!

Unsurprisingly it's mostly my One Piece one shots for the most part (specifically smuts).

But Sweet Child tops all of them, which honestly tracks, being a reader insert with different romantic/platonic ending with a few different characters. Some of which are still pending. A little surprised the Child AU version "How our Seeds Grow" also made it onto the top area of my list! Especially given how it's just one chapter but I guess folks love child inserts with platonic yanderes idk.

Quite surprised the FNAF fic "A Friend of Charlotte" is on here given how poorly OC fics tend to do in general but given the public nature of kudos and the way the filter works by year, I suppose this teen rates fic had a better shot. This one is about Blaire, teenage medium discovering the secrets of the pizzaplex from Security Breach before, during, and after the games events.

"Fireworks" made it to #2, which is mildly surprising but it is a smutfic about Ace and a reader insert so... Not that surprising.

"Twice Bitten (But not Shy)" being a sequel to a vampire Crocodile with AFAB reader insert smut so zero surprise that it's here.

"Sugar on Your Tongue" is another smutfic for One Piece but this time with Marco, Ace, Zoro, and Sanji in a foursome. Spicy. Zero surprise it's here.

And last on this singular screenshot (there are fics with less kudos under it) is "A Lone Melody" doing alright considering it's an OC centric fic in a massive fandom. All about Melody (half human half fishman) growing up with Arlong (and sometimes Jinbe) as she realizes not everything is as she thought it was and Arlong realizes there are consequences to being a racist prick with yandere-esque protective tendencies. Mostly. It's more about Melody though.

Just for fun, here's last year, 2022.

Unsurprised "Hopeful Magic" tops it, this is the year I dropped it and left a chapter explaining what little plans I could recall.

But yeaaaahhh... All of the 'new' entries are One Piece smut to my absolute non-shock.

"Aloe Kisses" Sabo smut with AFAB reader, "The Only Choice" yandere Ace smut with AFAB reader, "Riptide" yandere Jinbe smut with female reader, and "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" werewolf Ace smut with AFAB werewolf reader. Zero shock and awe here lol.

I... Wrote a lot of smut in 2022. It's easier to get a high word count than fluff, ngl, and I did several events that year with smut as an option that I cross posted. The werewolf Ace fic is one such smut specifically for the Halloween/horror themed event if memory serves!

If I had to say which one I had the most fun writing it would probably be "We Are all Falling" cause I was literally pumping out a chapter everyday after classes in college with my roomie (still bestie) reading over it. It was dumb, stupid fun. A real treat with a random, aggressive sense of humor that if you read it, you'd recognize my trademark writing starts real early. Including having unexpected villains, body horror, dramatics, and side eyes references to anime I've seen. Tumble was me totally uninhibited by anxiety and fear with a good dose of angst and the best of intentions. Also absolutely fed up with bullshit but strangely optimistic.

After that? I'd have to say my second favorite that's on any of these 'lists' would have to be "A Friend of Charlotte". I spent what had to be weeks crafting Blaire and her backstory. Her story is also the only one that I can more or less consistently hit a pretty high word count for chapters without feeling bloated, which is quite satisfying. A bit more mature of a story with some fun taken crafting a middle ground between the ludicrously dangerous setting of literally any location in FNAF with something that could actually maybe exist without getting shut down for being... Ludicrously dangerous for literally anyone in, around, or even thinking about. Definitely a little more kind to upper management than canon FNAF management who seem to view OSHA violations as a checklist and a challenge. Seriously, how the hell do you make body snatcher animatronics without a little bit of pause??? Why?? Why would you do that?!? (The amount of haunted animatronics is also a problem but arguably not usually a feature until Funtime)

You punch the wall in frustration, the feeling of blood dripping down your hands or claws doesn't compare to the frustration you feel with yourself right now. You hate that you're not in control of the situation right now. What else can you do? Where can you go?

"You, uh...you good?"

You hear someone ask a few feet away. You turn your head to see a long white-haired girl.

"Does it look like I'm fuckin okay?" 

You instantly felt guilty after saying that, your frustration got the better of you.

"Well shit, I was just askin-"

"No, no. Sorry, I was just frustrated is all."

She looks conflicted for a minute before pressing forward. 

"M..mind me asking what happened?

You pause before shrugging a shoulder.

"I just got down here and I have nowhere to go. I don't exactly know what to do either. It's all kinda shit right now."

The girl's eyes...well eyes analyze you for a moment before she sighs and outstratches her hand. 

"You should uh, come with me. My girlfriend owns this hotel, a place to rehabilitate demons to go to heaven. The housing is free an' all if that's all you really care about."

You squint at her, "And you're just gonna invite me like that? No other questions?" 

She pushes her hand towards you again. 

"Yeah well, Charlie would want to help anyone despite the situation. And you don't seem too dangerous. No offense..."

You smile in amusement before taking her hand, to help you off the wall.

- Lefty is a Calm and Manipulative Yandere that likes to observe their darling. Although they do show some slightly possessive and sadistic tendencies due to the puppet within them.

- The bear prefers to sit back and watch you from a distance for most of their obsession.

- Unlike the other salvaged bots you take in, Lefty is not that interested in tearing you to pieces.

- They prefer to keep you as company rather than a toy to play with.

- It can just be you and them within a calming silence....

- You could've taken in Lefty two ways.

- Salvaging the bot or buying them off the catalogue.

Anyway I wanted to ask some things to expand a little bit if you don’t mind:

How do Dreams friends react to him literally just…disappearing? He runs off with the bench trio, but do the rest of the manhunt crew learn where he went? And does Dream try to explain to them (especially Sapnap) that eating borrowers is wrong? i can imagine Sam just being like “oh yeah I know btw you wanna meet my little borrower partner?” and he just pulls Ponk out of a pocket

Also, kind of going back to Sapnap, will Karl and Quackity have roles in this au? Cause I can totally see them being two borrowers that Sapnap meets after learning that borrowers are sapient. It would be so hard for him to accept that he likes them (platonically or romantically if you like karlnapity), especially given that you said he ate borrowers as often as possible. He’d probably take the news of them being sapient the worst.

Also not really a question, but kinda odd how Phil and Techno knew what rovengers were when Tommy and Tubbo didn’t, I wonder they they hide their main predator’s existence 👀

Also, lastly, you’ve mentioned that humans were a thing in this AU, so are there any characters you plan to be human?

(quick warnings for vague mentions of hard and soft vore)

lemme clear up the second-to-last question first real quick: actually, no one really knew about rovengers. when tommy and tubbo first got taken, all they knew about were some particularly large tracks that were nearby. and even then, they weren’t 100% certain whether or not they were even related. it was only connected when those same tracks showed up when tommy and tubbo returned.

dream and ranboo had to explain what exactly rovengers were to phil, who then relayed it to techno. until then, they didn’t even know what they looked like, let alone what they were called.

now, back to the first question.

there actually was a scene i meant to add in the fic,,, but it had to be cut, since i couldn’t get it to look right. plus, it did feel like it didn’t flow well with the rest of the story,, at least not the way i was writing it.

it took place after dream stored the borrowers and his brother, as he was trying to make his way out of the colony.

he ended up getting interrupted by sapnap. sap, who had heard about the fight between ranboo and dream(somehow), wanted to talk to him, see if he was okay.

dream debated whether or not to tell sapnap, and the rest of his friends, about what he learned about borrowers, but hesitated.

he.. he knows they’re his friends.

but.. how would they react when finding out about borrowers? george and any were always pretty apathetic about them, leaning no particular way towards them, but.. sapnap…..

dream doesn’t tell him. he simply says he’s going on a walk to cool off some steam.

sapnap, at first, wants to go with him, but dream refuses, saying he wishes to be alone right now. hesitantly, sapnap agrees, saying that he wants to talk to him after he comes back.

dream puts on a smile, and says sure.

and then he leaves, and doesn’t come back.

anyway, my inability to ramble about anything without making it a mini-fic aside, yeah uh. he doesn’t explain.

first his father disappears without a word, and now his best friend, as well as his brother?

yeah… mans is not okay.

he ends up having to take over as leader of their patrols, now that dream’s missing, but sapnap assures everyone it’s temporary. dream’s gonna come back, maybe he just- got lost, or something. he’s gotta come back, surely.

(on one of these patrols, they end up finding a certain mossy-green rovenger, but that’s a story for another day.)

moving on to your second question, and — huh, i never actually.. shared anything about karl and quackity here,, huh didnkdbfid. i’m pretty sure i did in the discord server,,, but i guess i never put them here,,, woops!!

but uh- yeah yeah they’re here!!!! and indeed,, they’re both borrowers!

(skeppy and ponk are also here but you knew about the latter already djdbdkbdid)

they’re both bird-like borrowers — and, okay quick little tangent here i guess, there’s two types of borrower designs, ones based off real animals, and plain ones, with just pointed ears and stuff. why? uhh because why not, that’s why.

i have like a vague idea on how they all meet, but i’m gonna need to find a reason to justify why sapnap doesn’t immediately try to eat ‘em,, that doesn’t involve them talking dibdkdn.

or- actually maybe i have one? maybe sapnap hasn’t seen borrowers with wings before — maybe they’re a bit hard to catch, and even harder to keep contained.

sapnap ends up finding karl, and decides to keep him as a pet for a bit, a la dream kdndkdndkdn.

when he finds out they’re sapient…….. hoo boy……….

and now,, for the final question…

she lives in a house out in the woods — a house that happens to be the one where the borrower village is nearby!

she isn’t around often— she’s an archeologist, so she has to travel around in order to do her work, making her house a prime target for most of their borrowing trips.

(though, it’s not as if they have to sneak around the place if they want anything — she’s more than happy to give them a thing or two!)

okay first off i am so sorry for this like month late response... im currently a high school senior in the midst of college apps season haha so i havent had time to really do anything T__T my apologies again... and thank u for the questions! i will literally talk about mhyk for ages if enabled lol. word dump below

mhyk for dummies: mahoyaku is a pretty boy mobage. i am so sorry i just need to get that out there. anyways two things that *i* think that set it apart from other mobages is its not an otome so you cant date any of the characters AND its got more of a focus on non-romantic pairings i guess? idk if that makes sense but it does show and i do greatly enjoy the relationships (platonic, romantic, or whatever the fuck) between a lot of the characters since imo its very well written. even if i havent been keeping up with any of the stories. ALSO since its in a wizard universe they do some pretty cool things with gender... dont want to say they are nonbinary but the creator did confirm that gender works differently for wizards. Highly enjoyable. Also a lot of bisexuals but some of them embarass me

ANYWAYS its a wizard world... wizards are born as like um.. idk theyre pretty rare unless its hereditary i think but i would say out of 100 random human babies one of them is a wizard. this comes with neat perks like: magic! immortality as long as you dont get killed (tbf its very hard to get killed if youre magic but wtv)! trying to think of other perks but really i think thats it! it also has cons like: a lot of people fucking hate you for no reason if they find out youre a wizard! and if you make a promise and break it you lose all ur magic :(. wizards turn into mana stones when they die (pretty rocks, also the gacha currency which is really fucking funny), which other wizards can eat to gain power or humans can use to power magic tools. ppl wont find out youre a wizard unless you start using magic or youre there long enough so that ppl r like "Hey its been 50 years why is this guy not aging". (ofc u only STOP aging after u hit ur magic peak but thats only a fun bit of trivia that isnt super relevant? idk)

before i get into anything else: there are 5 countries (north, east, south, west, central, very creatively named ik ik). north is a brutal country, the idea of survival of the fittest is probably taken to the extreme there, although there are some exceptions. its "ruled" by whoever the reigning wizards are there at the time, which leads to some pretty insane northern wizards! so muchmental illness. east has probably the worst of wizard hating, very forested country and ppl there tend to be pretty isolated/keep to themselves but witch? wizard? hunts are fairly common there. probably worst place societally to live as a wizard. south is the nicest place to live out of the five sort of... i think in recent history the coal miners overthrew the feudal lords so the entirety of south is still sort of being actively developed, its kind of barren but also not? idk. wizards and humans live in harmony in south, but as a result, the wizards there are also known for being really weak and err... "softhearted" in comparison. western country is full of insane people. they also generally dont like wizards but if youre funny enough theyll enjoy you. western is sort of steampunky as a result of being like the idk tech capital of the wizard world. most western wizards are fucking insane but in a really benevolent and cute way. im skipping over an insane amount of worldbuilding btw HELP umm theres nuance to all of these places nods nods im kind of just giving the broad strokes here. anyways finally central! i love central. sort of the trading hub of the world. had a famous revolution led by wizards about 100 years ago and there was wizard jesus christ. anyways wizard jesus christ gets betrayed by his closest friend, his closest friend burns him at the stake, the revolution fails but then his closest friend rewrites history to portray wizard jesus christ as a saint and also to say that the revolution wasnt for wizards but rather against the reigning king by humans? i love central rev btw such interesting worldbuilding... sedespa and aapeli from my game aare from central rev. ANYWAYS thats probably the closest i can get to the mhyk for dummies < guy who didnt talk about the pplot or characters of mahoyaku at all.

also the moon is evil and tries to kill everyone once a year they call it the great calamity. not super relevant for my game but very relevant for mahoyaku.

Hey Mitch, what made LSS essentially choose your S/I's over Ashley? I mean, aside from the fact that LSS and your character are soulmates?

What caused LSS to fall out of love with Ashley?

[CW: Unreality, general spoilers for the 'Meet the Fishers' AU]

Three main reasons L.S.S. chose to be with my s/is instead of Ash:

Sals feelings for Ashley in his original timeline were based on a love-at-first-sight teenage crush. It's clear that those feelings lingered throughout high school and that Sal and Ash became closer as the years went by, but it's up for debate as to whether Ash returned his romantic feelings or simply had a strong platonic bond with him. I think Sal still had some hope that they would get together during the first half of CH4, but still very much cherished his friendship with her and was okay if that was how their relationship would stay. After the murders and subsequent events in chapter 5, I don't think a romantic relationship would have been an realistic option for them because A. Ash had taken so long to accept the truth about what had happened, believing Sal was mentally ill and delusional until it was much too late to do anything to save him despite all the crazy shit she'd seen going on beforehand (which probably felt like a betrayal, even if Sal understood why she didn't believe his reasoning before proof was staring her in the face), and B. Sal was dead and could only interact with the original Ashley through a telepathic link and inhabiting her own arm. I could see him feeling uncomfortable with basically being a parasite in Ashs body and not really wanting to overstay his welcome any time he popped back into his original universe (not that it absolutely couldn't work! I've seen some very creative and cute AUs exploring that dynamic 👍)

Even if L.S.S. got the chance to get together with alternate versions of Ash, I think he'd feel strange about going through with it, given his current relationship with the original Ash. It might be different if she had died, but just imagine him popping back to the original timeline for a check-in and saying 'oh yeah btw Ash I totally dated and made sweet, sweet love with you in a different timeline just so you know.' It would probably be really awkward for both of them (if not a total violation of their friendship), and he'd probably feel even worse if he did that and kept it a secret, so he just doesn't.

On the flip side, Penpal!Mitch believed Sals story (which was somehow way more insane-sounding than the original) right off the bat, accepted him for everything he was (good and bad), and showed him kindness and mercy despite being a complete stranger to him at the time. It could easily be argued that she was just a gullible true-crime fanatic with a passion for prison reform that ended up biting off way more than she could chew, but it still really touched Sal for someone to believe him and be unafraid of him, even affectionate with him, while knowing all the horrible things he'd been forced to do. Plus, she showed up at the right time- L.S.S. was experiencing his first big immortal rut (feeling isolated, misunderstood, that he was a failure and that there wasn't really a point in doing all this) when he got her first letter, and it gave him something more to keep 'living' for (besides the endless search for the original Larry and trying to take down all the different versions of the D.O.G. he comes across while universe hopping. It's a pretty thankless, fruitless job- can you really blame him for picking up what he thinks will be a nice little side quest to lighten things up a bit..?).
