do you think a communist can be religious at all? i'm a fairly well read classical-ish mlm but i'm also deeply religious. i make absolutely no concession to or apologism for organized or statal religion of course and think they probably should've been abolished yesterday but i'm one of those creatures who can't get through life without spirituality and hear a lot from other marxists that religiosity and marxism are an untenable configuration of beliefs. not having a crisis over my faith or my marxism by the way they're here to stay as an uncomfortable marriage, i'm just curious what your thoughts on religious marxists might be (and i get a feeling you'd question the fixation on individualism i'm probably hung up on a little bit here) since you're very well articulated and have a lot of interesting things to say.
in the same article i linked, lenin opines as such:
No number of pamphlets and no amount of preaching can enlighten the proletariat, if it is not enlightened by its own struggle against the dark forces of capitalism. Unity in this really revolutionary struggle of the oppressed class for the creation of a paradise on earth is more important to us than unity of proletarian opinion on paradise in heaven. That is the reason why we do not and should not set forth our atheism in our Programme; that is why we do not and should not prohibit proletarians who still retain vestiges of their old prejudices from associating themselves with our Party. We shall always preach the scientific world-outlook, and it is essential for us to combat the inconsistency of various “Christians”. But that does not mean in the least that the religious question ought to be advanced to first place, where it does not belong at all; nor does it mean that we should allow the forces of the really revolutionary economic and political struggle to be split up on account of third-rate opinions or senseless ideas, rapidly losing all political importance, rapidly being swept out as rubbish by the very course of economic development.
so, basically--it is lenin's position that historical materialism necessary leads to atheism if applied fully--but the 'question of religion' is a fundamentally unimportant one to the revolutionary struggle. so, yeah, i think a communist can be religious.
crucially, one of the arguments made in this article is that--again, under the view of historical materialism--all religions that currently exist are the result of the material conditions they developed under. as those material conditions are abolished, the ideologies (including religions) that arose from those material conditions will follow some generations later. so a revolutionary communist can be religious, but should expect (should a revolution be succesful) that their eventual descendents no longer be religious--at least in a way we can recognize.
while i think that abolishment of religion is a goal of communism, i want to draw all attention to abolishment as aufhebung, as a creative rather than purely destructive transformation. we may well see brand new religions develop under communism, or forms of old religions that are unrecognizable in substance because they are the products of totally new material conditions. ultimately we can speculate on but not truly anticipate the religious situation of the future!
ultimately i think that in the present any religion that does not impute any truths to the material is compatible with revolutionary marxism. as lenin said, unity in opinion on the class struggle is infinitely more important than unity in opinion on the soul or heaven could ever be

So You Want To Be A Librarian
Five and a Half Things You Should Know Going In
This is a post, first and foremost, about burnout. Being a public librarian presents a certain category of problems and attracts a certain type of people - namely, the problems of social aid professions and the compassionate people who go into them. The advice in this post comes from my own experiences as well as wisdom distilled from my parents’ combined 60 years of being in the sister passion profession of teaching.
Here goes:
1) Libraries are not your life. Not your patrons, not your programs, not your advocacy efforts. None of it. Repeat this to yourself, over and over, as many  times as it takes. If you want to survive - or even just be effective - in this line of work, you cannot reduce your identity down to just ‘librarian’. All the advice on work-life balance and establishing boundaries applies here, but don’t forget to think about the ‘identity’ part specifically, too.
1a) It’s going to be really easy to forget 1) when you’re in the warm, righteous, determined rush of feeling needed.
That’s a heady feeling and it’s going to make you want to ignore your boundaries. Sometimes, you will; that can’t always be helped, and breaking your own boundaries isn’t something to beat yourself up over when it happens. It’s a neutral fact that we’re wired to love the feeling of being needed, or we wouldn’t have lasted this long as a social species. When you come down from it a bit, ask yourself what parts of that experience were rewarding to you. Was it the type of social interaction - teaching, caring, giving? Was it a feeling that you had power over your portion of the situation, power to enact what you thought was right? Where else could you get those things if you needed, so that your job doesn’t have to be the only place you experience those feelings?
2) Most people are not going to remember you after they walk out that library door, so don’t do your job to be remembered by them. You’re probably in this job because someone in libraries had a huge impact on you when you were younger, but you need to recognize when and where you’re making your interactions about you and your own self-image rather than your patrons or your role in the community. This can be especially difficult with kids, since kids can be very intense and make you feel like you’re the centre of their universe. When this happens, ask yourself what need you are fulfilling for them and what that actually, concretely requires of you.
3) Suffering is not transactional. We live in a culture that’s built primarily on Christian values, and the biggest Christian story of them all is the success of sacrifice. Jesus, however, was special - that’s kind of the whole point, as I understand the thing. Basically, remember that the amount of blood, sweat, and tears that you put into something does not in any way correlate to the amount of enjoyment or learning or purpose anyone else gets out of it.
4) Understand the system. Where does the money come from? Can you trace it back, not just to grants from the city, but to the kinds of business and property taxes that fund the city? North Americans are brought up with this background noise of ‘infinite growth’ that you have to consciously tone down if you want to be able to assess a situation realistically. I had a boss once who told me, “When you’re presenting to council, always remember that the fire department is fighting for the same pot of money you are.” There might be more than enough money in the world to fund what you want - but is that money in your town? If not, can you bring it into your town? Knowing what your limits are can help you expand them, yes, but it can also save you from throwing yourself after a mirage of glory that simply doesn’t exist.
5) Everything takes more time than you think, even changes away from horrifying practises or towards things that are objectively morally right. Libraries exist suspended in a web of the relationships between multiple bureaucratic organizations, budgets only happen once a year, and most people don’t spend their working days thinking about their community’s library. You’re going to have great ideas for change, they’re going to be realistic and possible and just within reach, and it’s going to feel grindingly slow. Don’t get mad; remember the fire department. Everyone working with you to achieve this change has their own equivalent of the fire department in their life. Make sure things are moving, but make sure you don’t blame people when they’re not moving faster. It’s unlikely that you’re being obstructed out of maliciousness and even on the rare occasions you are, you will get more help from others if you don’t visibly assume it anyway. Make sure you’re using your anger against injustice to motivate you, not other people.

re: conflict is not abuse i think the criticisms of it as a standalone thing are generally correct & knowing the authors history i dont have a lot of sympathy toward the actual...... life story. as it were. thats being presented. but like i do think that we need to synthesize that kind of viewpoint into our general understanding of dealing with the fallout of abusive situations because like, obviously if someone spent years saturated in the whole like Believe Survivors & rehabilitate abusers rhetoric, and still came out of it like incapable of gracefully accepting when theyve been shitty to people and then changing the way they interact with the situation, then clearly that part isnt working. right. like its good to focus on the reality of a situation and not give infinite grace to someone who takes advantage of other people but even if removing them from a social group was 100% effective and had no consequences ever that still doesnt like fundamentally do anything to make someone want to change. like thats the kind of thing that makes you start seeing yourself as an unjust martyr whose experience is itself victimizing and needs to be presented to the world for pity and teaching. clearly. like my problem is that i dont think anyone does anything out of completely random cruelty like people think theyre doing the right thing when they do shit. and identifying that as abuse may be truthful and important but it doesnt connect anywhere between why someone is doing something, and what they did, and why the other person thinks they shouldnt do that, and what amount of both are right. this isnt clear or concise because ive been thinking about this for like months and months and its not a straightforward train of thought anymore but its a subject of personal regret in having lost a very close friend & lifeline & all of their social group because of that inability to connect when they were being awful turning into a nuclear fallout. like i knew exactly why they were doing what they were doing and i didnt see a boundary, then, between that understanding and having to conclude that it was justified. like i couldnt say that what they did was wrong because it Wasnt wrong in their position. there were plenty of other things that couldve made sense and not hurt but i wasnt like mature enough to be able to call that out in someone else and all i knew was what HAD happened. so all i could do was just leave. which is bad! nobody was happy with that outcome! they lost their pet and their prize and we both got called rapists to the rest of our friends, who believed it, and we had to just like continue living like that. i wish there had been some way of bridging the gap between why they felt like it had to be that way and why i couldnt live with it. but in that gap is always this like impassable warning siren that criticizing actions is equivalent to dismissing the reasoning behind it and trying to break their will, no matter how softly you tread around it. which ive been on the other side of because of my own actions & my own hypervigilance to being suppressed and it IS so powerful and unavoidable. like if any part of the community response and knowledge around conflict needs to be rehashed forever i wish it was about actually making anyone understand more of the situation because it feels like weve skipped over that and everything is about what singular action is appropriate to apply to every "conflict" situation without worrying about what the contents are or that like, all parties are human beings and not automata that exist to either senselessly enact violence or be subdued, or helplessly receive violence or be protected

The ask about a magical girl that got stuck in Homura's loop reminded me of an old idea I had; What would happen if someone wished for infinite potential? Would Kyubey just give it to her and it ending up in a situation like Madoka and Homura's time loops? Perhaps it just be a monkey's paw situation where it excruciatingly backfires? Another possibility could be that the albino rat bastard just gives them something completely random or something that has absolutely nothing to do with their wish, but I think that situation would just be disappointing for all parties involved... (Similarly to how Seika Kumi from Magia Record wished to revive someone but ended up with water teleportation)
This kind of question could possibly be applied to any wish involving infinity or an infinite amount of something but for now I'd rather just keep the topic to potential since the wish would basically be trading potential for even more potential.
I love how you all just choose violence all the time

Okay I need to scream to the void for a second here.
Please I'm begging you, apply leftist theory when thinking about the current AI art controversy.
It does not matter whether AI art is considered real art, whether an AI can be inspired, or whether AI art is good or bad. It does not matter. These are philosophical musings, concerned only with the metaphysical characteristics of AI. This is utterly pointless when it comes to the reality of the situation. Trying to push back against generative art by utilizing this kind of reasoning will only lead to disaster.
The material reality is this: There now exists a tool that can produce art at much higher levels of productivity than a human artist ever could on their own.
That's what's up. It does not matter what your personal beliefs about art and AI are. This tool now exists and you're never going to be able to cancel it out of existence.
It's so incredibly important that everyone realizes why the outcry against AI art is happening in the first place: A material reality underpins the anxiety of artists, and that reality is simply that a machine is about to make them unemployed.
What I fear is that artists in their fear, anger and frustration are going to push for rhetoric that will ultimately lead to a corporate monopoly on AI technology. And at least I, personally, want to avoid that future.
Now don't get me wrong. That anger and fear is completely justified. Just as it has always been for workers losing their livelihoods thanks to automation. But we need to be careful with what we ask for.
Consider this: After outcry from artists, legistlation is finally passed, decreeing that any and all art utilized in an AI dataset must be appropriately licensed for that purpose. Great! All is fair and artists are getting compensated! However, consider what happens next.
Amazon, with its approximately infinite amount of capital, starts paying artists handsome sums for said licensing. Now why would they do this? I can assure you it's not because they want to train an AI and then give that AI freely to the people.
Introducing Amazon's new Art Generation Service, to which you can subscribe to for the fair price of 590 bucks per month!
And would you look at that. 590 bucks is way less than the salary of a dedicated illustrator, how convenient for anyone currently employing an illustrator.
So with this new legislation, a thing that was supposed to aid artists, we've actually ended up screwing artists over anyway. AND on top of that, AI is now completely monopolized by multi-billion dollar corporations that can afford to pay for the necessary training data, because no individual or non-profit seeking organization can pay for the same volume of licenses. All because people were too afraid of a new technology in order to democratize it.
So what's the moral of the story here? AI art is all fine and good, shut up you whiny artists? No, the moral is that PLEASE THINK about the actual real-world material impact the things you're asking for will have in the capitalist system we live under. It will be all too easy to be short-sighted and accidentally end up with more power in the hands of capitalists.
AI should be kept in the hands of the people, it should not be gatekept by corporations, it should be ethically developed and deployed, it should aid people's lives. How do we best push for this under the current organization of the economy?

Dance, dance
Last month, I tried to come up with weapons centered around tauntkills and was met with limited success. As I stepped back to sulk, I took a look at the one weapon that is based around a taunt: the Medic’s Amputator, which generates a healing aura while you taunt with it. I want to see what we could do with a weapon like that. Let’s start with the Pyro, simply because the guitar taunt is suitably inspiring.
Guitar Solo Iteration 1 Pyro melee (+) Taunt to perform a sweet guitar solo, extinguishing nearby teammates and granting extinguished players a 3-second mini-crit boost (+) +20 health restored on extinguishing ally (+) Gain mini-crit buff after taunting (1 second for each player extinguished) (-) -25% swing speed
I did my best to make a useful ability here, but I may not have succeeded. My general sense was that I wanted the taunt to offer some kind of palliative ability instead of a general buff - if it gave, say, infinite mini-crits, then the Pyro would be encouraged to always taunt and never get to play. Unfortunately, it was difficult to find a conditional ability that also fit the Pyro as a class. While area-of-effect healing fits the Medic perfectly, the Pyro’s team support is usually proactive (reflecting projectiles before they hit) rather than reactive (healing damage already incurred). This doesn’t mean that there are no other options; it’s just that this was the best I could come up with given a few hours of brainstorming.
Anyway, as we’ve established, extinguishing flames is relatively situational. Moreover, opposing Pyros may find themselves shut down - and, if they make the mistake of giving the enemy mini-crit boosts, may earn the ire of their own team. We could make the extinguish apply to all debuffs (Mad Milk, Jarate, Mark-for-Death, etc.), but it’s still targeted mostly at Pyros. That’s unfortunate, both for the opponents and for the user. Let’s step back and look at a different class for now.
Hoedown Iteration 1 Engineer melee (+) On taunt: Do a hoedown, repairing nearby buildings [84 repair per second] at half metal cost (6 HP per 1 metal) (-) -25% damage vs buildings
This combines my Overclocker redo with the Amputator, letting you tank an assault on your nest... if the enemy doesn’t come in and pick you off, that is. You also have to have line-of-sight to your buildings to repair them; with the Amputator, that’s less of a problem, because it’ll heal anyone who starts within your vision, even if they move behind cover.
Does this make Engineer nests too bulky? Maybe, especially if multiple Engineers are placing buildings near each other (I’d also want to include the caveat that two Engineers dancing at once would not stack repairs, just for balance reasons). Note, though, that the repair rate (80/s) is slower than the Wrench (102 HP per 0.8 seconds) and the Jag (81 HP per 0.68 seconds). Moreover, it can’t remove sappers; it can’t overcome large amounts of damage, such as that of a sticky trap; and it depends on the Engineer’s survival. Sheltering behind buildings is an option, but explosions and especially fire can circumvent that, making the dancing player something of a sitting duck.
The real question is whether it’s fun to use this taunt. I think it could bring in some real tense moments, much like the Amputator does, without demanding that the Engineer always be using it. Being vulnerable to attack can be very stressful, certainly, but part of using this weapon is relying on teammates to keep you safe while taunting.
I can’t say for sure how popular it would be; as I mentioned, some players hate the loss of control that comes with taunting. However, I would hope that it brings elements of careful timing and high-intensity situations, making it a new, fun way for the Engineer to play. Do you think you would use it? Why or why not?

I'm no mathematician, but, wouldn't it be possible to make this task infinitely easier by dividing the countless numbers into various groups? The trick of it, time wise, would be to determine the minimum number of groups needed.
This does require us to make the assumption that, in this situation, we can communicate with all these people simultaniously, so as to organise and reorganise them as you like, asking them any question and what-not at your leisure.
So what's the gameplan here? Simple. We want as big of a group as possible to forgive you all at once in as few questions as possible. Then you go to the next biggest group that needs something more specialised before they forgive you, then the next biggest group with something even more specialised, until you're left with only a few stragglers that require something more specialised than could reasonably performed by even an AI.
For example, the first group you start off with would be "How many of you would forgive me right now?". There's going to be a non-zero chance that you've taken out a chunk of the people there. But where do you go from there and was that even the best opening question?
From there, maybe the next opening move is to divide the remaining groups into how long it would take for them to forgive you. Let's say for now, you split them between anything above a minute and anything below a minute. From there, you could divid them between anything above 5 minutes and everything 5 minutes and below. You go to the 5 minutes and below group. You divide them again and again and again in this manner until you get to the groups that will be willing to forgive you in only a second.
However, you've also set those groups up so that their "forgivenes timers" overlap. So, if three seconds pass, the "One Second Forgiveness Group" forgives you on the first second. The "Two Second Forgiveness Group" forgives you on the second second and the "Three Second Forgiveness Group" forgives you on the third second. In this way, you've organised every group so that every second another group forgives you. However, no matter how you arrange the groups, the "Two Second Forgiveness Group" never contains more members than less than half the "One Second Forgiveness Group", but never less than a quarter (I.e, if OSFG has 100 members, TSFG will never have more than 49 but will never have less than 25, but it can have any amount between those two, so the TSFG could have 36 members.). This applies to the "Three Second Forgiveness Group" and so on and so forth down the line.
Given a certain population size (X), and the number of seconds it took for them all to forgive you (Y), can you determine the minimum number of groups needed (Z) and, therefore, their likely population sizes (Q1, Q2, Q3, etc)?

Injustice is dumb not because "Superman would never do wrong!" but because Superman isn't an idiot and would never blame himself so hard after Joker killed Lois. Like yeah Superman failed to stop the deaths but he has zero blood on his hands until he murders Joker later but both Superman and by extension the audience are expected to believe that he does?
"Superman accidentally killed Lois Lane" no you idiot she died when a criminally insane clown and his equally criminally insane psychologist girlfriend performed amateur heart surgery on her and shoved a nuclear bomb into her chest cavity. There's no way she wasn't already fully dead by the time Superman got within a hundred yards of her. All he did was pummel her dead body into space. Fucked up? Yes, very, but it's not murder. There is no reason for Superman to act like the situation is in any way his fault, let alone for his view on killing to go from "killing bad" to "in for a penny, in for a pound" that quickly
Furthermore, Supes is fast but he's got just enough "fuck, should I kill? Killing seems bad. Also, did I just kill? Like, I want to kill, but I haven't killed yet I don't think" to get through for Wonder Woman to beat him to the punch and just kill Joker herself. Like Joker shouldn't have even made it to prison. If you think Batman could protect Joker from Wonder Woman long enough to even get him into a squad car you're wrong.
Not to mention, like. Batman canonically has contingency plans for this. For this exact thing? Like he just carries Kryptonite on him, at all times. And like yeah yeah batman vs superman yadda yadda, but Batman either has enough kryptonite on him to stop Superman from becoming a dictator at the drop of a hat after one (1) fight or he doesn't, and if he doesn't there are very few reasons Batman should survive the encounter, especially against a superman who's this unhinged. Batman's resistance would not have been this long drawn out thing.
And the parademons, are you kidding me? Batman and Superman's codes against killing very rarely apply to parademons, and if they do for Batman it's usually "I can't kill them but that doesn't mean I can't use my batarang bombs to explode them into Wonder Woman's sword or that exposed rebar or off of this really tall building" and for Superman it's more like "officer they few into my laser vision, they flew into my laser vision thirty-seven times." Why does batman care if supes kills a bunch of them? Why is this decision to kill the parademons seen as further evidence of Superman's descent into just. Endless amounts of murder.
And none of it feels like Superman, it just feels like Zod in primary colors. The only person on Clark's side who really feels like themselves in all this is Wonder Woman, so why isn't she the dictator? You're telling me wonder woman, in the face of a nuclear disaster, wouldn't just go "okay y'all aren't responsible enough to handle this, I'm in charge now." A dictatorial superman is infinitely more likely to just go completely ham with the phantom zone, which is basically killing, they're basically dead, and you can do a lot of things about prison abolitionism with the phantom zone, but like, if Superman does start killing people, I don't think he'd go so far as to kill a kid, like Shazam. Batman, maybe. We've had a lot of precedent for Batman really wanting to murder people but choosing not to because of either his gun phobia or the whole "if I start killing I won't be able to stop myself" thing, usually some combination of both. But Superman? Superman getting really indiscriminate with the whole murder thing takes away the nuance of why half the damn justice league is siding with him. Wonder Woman kills, yeah, but she's got like, standards about it. This was also, coincidentally, one of my many problems with Wonder Woman in Flashpoint Paradox (why is she homewrecking Aquaman of all people, she can do better than that). Wonder Woman is the Justice League member most likely to try to take over the world but as far as her killing code goes she'd probably be a few more rungs up the ethical ladder than ancient Greece.
Not to mention, Injustice has both cop batman out in full swing, and "please get therapy I'm begging you" batman... but not for Superman, which is. An interesting take, because although I hate cop batman on principle, the only reason a story like Injustice holds any weight to it is because of the complete history of these characters. Injustice Superman could've had dickish tendencies the whole time but we know he didn't because we know this is generally "big blue boy scout" superman up until he kills joker. It doesn't hit the same way if it's not. So we have the implied narrative of batman, up until and even after the point where superman fucks up, being cop batman based on how he treats clark. But then we get "go to therapy" batman when he teams up with Harley, you know, the lady who's half responsible for nuking an entire city and by extension Superman's turn to authoritarianism. Oh, but Superman, he's beyond saving.

My ideas for a Rabbit Miraculous Villain Fic
Okay, so to preface- this is an OC centered fic. It doesn't take place in the Established Miraculous timeline. It takes place in a world in which Fu lost Every Single Miraculous, and before any of the events of Miraculous Ladybug. (Call it world A)
The Villain used the Rooster to enhance the powers of a Snake-Rabbit Unification, and broke all three Miraculouses when travelling from world B to world A. He can't detransform, and if he leaves the now constantly-active Burrow, will swiftly feel the effects of the broken Miraculouses hit him like a truck.
The Villain, confined to the Burrow unless he wants to, y'know, die, is trying to track down the Big Two Miraculouses (Ladybug and Cat) to fix his powers up. He doesn't care who he hurts along the way- this isn't his world, after all, so does it really matter? The powers of the Rabbit and Snake aren't working anymore- he can't control when or where his Burrow leads, and it takes more and more effort to use it every time.
His initial goal was pure enough. He's from a world where most of the Miraculouses are used for evil. So, if he doesn't have allies from his own world, why not get them from another? And, in his desperate and declining mind, the plan can still work. He drags people from worlds C, D, E, etc, forcing them to help.
They can't go home unless they help him find the Ladybug and Black Cat. They'd have had varying experience with the Miraculouses, but given they all come from differing situations, much of it can't be applied here.
---
The Miraculouses of the Black Cat and Ladybug would only appear once- during the final battle. It's only when those wielders join the team that the Rabbit Villain dies, his Miraculouses are mended, and the Outliers go back to their own worlds.
I'm pretty set on the main character being a Fox Miraculous wielder, the only one here who's *from* World A. (Crossfox) He begins as naive and privileged, using the Miraculous for joyrides across the rooftops and not taking interest in heroics until he's thrown in the metaphorical deep end, his eyes forcibly opened to what happens in plain sight. He's a somewhat feared hero, creating terrifying Illusions to scare criminals into surrender. He doesn't get his hands dirty in physical battles, but he takes down some of the most feared people in his home city. When proof of his existence is found, numerous institutions lose their collective shit. Crossfox is considered the world's first superhero, and the fame inflates his ego a little before it is utterly burst by the Outliers.
He gets his ass kicked So Many Times by these people, because they are infinitely more experienced than he is. Eventually, he gets to talk to one of them, and they build bridges. Slowly, he wins them over to the side of 'Hey, maybe you shouldn't be causing masses of property damage and injuring completely innocent people.'
I think that a team of five, including Crossfox, would be a good amount. The only other Miraculous I definitely want to include is the Pig- it's another hands-off fighter, and its power can be formidable if used correctly. Fun fact: I briefly considered making her a second Fox, lol.
The Mouse Miraculous is also a likely candidate, since its user could be able to sneak in and out of secure facilities with its power.
Every Miraculous but LB, Cat, Rooster, Snake, and Rabbit are on the table for the other two.
The team definitely needs a proper fighter. I'm torn between the Tiger, Goat and Dragon personally???
A defender type would probably be useful too. Like perhaps the turtle or ox?
TLDR- Fox Hero fights a Rabbit/Snake/Rooster Villain who's trapped in his world and drags other people into his world to fight on his behalf.

Cannabis Drug Wikipedia
Hemp comes from the Cannabis sativa variation of the plant and is extensively used for industrial purposes, although the seeds have been cultivated as a meals. Hemp incorporates bast fiber and its physical properties are completely different from other types of hashish plants. Hybrid strains are created when farmers wish to take the best of both plants to encourage the growth of a superior plant. The breeding of several sorts of hashish plants is at all times experimental, and there are infinite variations to choose from relying on the type and strain of the hashish plant getting used. Cannabis indica crops are lower in THC and higher in CBD when in comparison with C.
Tumblr media
Forty-four percent of American twelfth graders have tried the drug at least once, and the standard age of first-use is 16, much like the everyday age of first-use for alcohol however lower than the first-use age for different illicit drugs. Smoking, entails burning and inhaling cannabinoids ("smoke") from small pipes, bongs , paper-wrapped joints, tobacco-leaf-wrapped blunts, or the like. In China, the psychoactive properties of hashish are described within the Shennong Bencaojing . THC and its major metabolite, THC-COOH, may be measured in blood, urine, hair, oral fluid or sweat using chromatographic methods as part of a drug use testing program or a forensic investigation of a traffic or different legal offense. The concentrations obtained from such analyses can usually be useful in distinguishing active use from passive publicity, elapsed time since use, and extent or length of use. These exams can not, nonetheless, distinguish approved hashish smoking for medical purposes from unauthorized leisure smoking. Commercial cannabinoid immunoassays, typically employed as the preliminary screening methodology when testing physiological specimens for marijuana presence, have different degrees of cross-reactivity with THC and its metabolites. Urine contains predominantly THC-COOH, while hair, oral fluid and sweat contain primarily THC. Blood might contain each substances, with the relative amounts depending on the recency and extent of usage. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration classifies marijuana as a Schedule I substance. This implies that it has no currently accepted medical uses and a excessive potential for habit. But suppliers could certify marijuana use to help with sure medical situations in states that legally allow it. Marijuana is amongst the most used medication in the United States, notably among young adults. In 2021, 35.4% of individuals aged 18 to 25 (11.8 million people) reported using marijuana in the past yr.
Hashish (marijuana) And Cannabinoids: What You Should Know
At excessive doses, mental results can embody anxiousness, delusions , hallucinations, panic, paranoia, and psychosis. There is a strong relation between cannabis use and the chance of psychosis, though the course of causality is debated. Physical results include elevated coronary heart fee, difficulty respiratory, nausea, and behavioral problems in children whose moms used hashish during pregnancy; short-term unwanted aspect effects may include dry mouth and red eyes. Long-term opposed results may embody addiction, decreased mental ability in those who started regular use as adolescents, continual coughing, susceptibility to respiratory infections, and cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. NBA 2K24 fans want a key MyCAREER mechanic changed, but new game patch ignores their pleas
Tumblr media
NBA 2K24 has already received a number of improvements, and it has only been out for a week. Patch notes v1.2 are scheduled to launch for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 14, but the publisher has already revealed their contents, which do not address the fanbase's top MyCAREER concerns. An official 2K Games representative revealed the full v1.2 patch notes for NBA 2K24 in a Reddit post. This update is exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and will take effect later on Sept. 14. While this patch is primarily and almost exclusively meant to improve performance on current-gen consoles, that didn’t stop commenters from showing what they really want—a change to the new badge regression system in MyCAREER. In brief, with this new badge system, your MyPLAYER’s badges could regress if you’re not using them while playing. For example, if you have a catch and shoot badge and you don’t shoot a single shot in your next game, your badge will regress. This could be halted by the use of a Floor Setter, which locks a badge at a certain level, which it can’t regress beyond. Fans aren’t thrilled by the mechanic to begin with, but reports that it’s not even working properly and badge regression could occur after games in which you have used them makes the situation all the trickier. The light at the end of the tunnel was actually provided by a community-discovered glitch that allowed the same Floor Setter to be applied to a potentially infinite amount of badges. While NBA 2K24 patch notes v1.2 do not address the general badge issue, they did shut down the Floor Setter glitch, so now players don’t have any way left to get around badge regression. The only hope now lies in the promised major patch that’s supposed to release sometime before season two, so within the next two to three weeks. We wouldn’t hold our breath, though. In addition to fixing the Floor Setter glitch, patch notes v1.2 mostly deal with bugs, performance and stability issues, and the occasional adjustment to in-game modes, like switching down the difficulty on some MyTEAM challenges. Here are the full NBA 2K24 v1.2 patch notes Gameplay - Fixed an issue that was causing physics to break when using controllable rim hangs in certain situations. The City - Numerous fixes to game stability in the City have been made. - Resolved a user-reported stutter when playing games on the RISE affiliation courts. - You can now properly join a friend in the Gatorade Rental Courts when using the Social Menu. MyCareer/Quests/Progression - Adjusted the Minimizer quest so it is easier for all player types to complete. - Fixed a rare issue that could cause a hang when loading into a MyCAREER save. - Addressed an issue that could prevent advancement to the second NBA season. - Resolved a hang when heading to the arena floor before NBA games. - Michael Jordan can no longer be passed on the GOAT tier list before winning your seventh championship. - Users can no longer apply the same Floor Setter to more than one badge. MyTeam - Resolved user-reported issues with games played after playing Triple Threat Online: Co-Op games. - Lowered the difficulty of Triple Threat Online: Co-Op games against the CPU to Pro. - Added the ability to select a lineup before entering Triple Threat Online: Co-Op. MyNBA - Resolved a hang that could occur in the Trade Finder menu when exiting and re-entering under certain conditions. - Fixed an issue that could cause the Warriors to get rebranded incorrectly going into future seasons in MyNBA. - Badge regression is what it is, but it shouldn’t completely demoralize you. There’s plenty that can be done to create the ultimate MyCAREER build, like having the smoothest jumpshot in NBA 2K24 or being able to dunk over the entire enemy team. You could also check out our tailor-made MyPLAYER center build if dominating the post is more to your liking. Who needs badges when you have 99 strength? Read the full article

Going solar is a rewarding experience as well as an environmentally friendly source of energy both for residential and commercial situations. Daylight continuously warms the earth providing an infinite potential for producing electrical energy. Solar energy has certainly had its fair share of skeptics. But after looking at the facts, it has become more clear that these solar devices are much more cost efficient than at any other period in time. You may be asking yourself, "Is solar power for me?". Therefore, let's discuss the bonfire involved with buying a solar panel system for your home or business.
Solar panels = Self sufficiency After such devices are installed, you will start living independently and no longer have to depend on public utilities. When power outages occur you will be the only resident on your street who has full use of their electricity.
Solar panels = Goodbye expensive electricity bill Amid the rising costs of living, gas and energy, electricity bills have become a crushing expense you have to deal with each month. Tumblr media
I have managed to generate a myriad of questions after arriving at a theoretical conclusion on a topic that can only be speculated about. Great.
The subject in question is a touchy one for many people. My views on said subject are likely much different than any you many have heard. My purpose is not to offend or sow doubt, I wish only to share what I learn and theorize based on what I’ve learned and what makes sense to me. At the end of the day, when it comes to matters of the spirit, death or purpose of life, none of us really knows for sure. Are we supposed to have all the answers though?
My first question, which led to this fiasco, was what is the point of life? Why are we here? You know, the usual. I am of the mindset that we can usually figure out the answers to these questions regarding the things we cannot see by looking at the things we can see. If you’re a believer of the Bible, Jesus said something similar; ‘The things not seen are evident in the things seen.’
For example; all things exist under the rule of the laws of nature. (The true god) One such law states that all things within our realm, end. So all things exist within a cycle.  So, using this same blueprint I apply it to death. (The unseen) This must mean that even death has a beginning, a duration and an end. I don’t want to get too deep into this, I’m simply illustrating an example.
I should say, I do not believe that we, as human beings, retain our individuality after death. It is my speculation that we become one with the source from which we came and, if anything, we simply become redistributed randomly as new life. Completely different beings. If any of this seems too far fetched for you or offensive, you should probably not follow the rabbit any farther.
Arriving at the beginning of the purpose of this article, I ask myself, what is existence? Or, what does it mean to exist? What is obvious to me is that the word exist is directly related to the word experience. This is because life is nothing if not a collection of experiences. I then wonder, can an entity say that they have truly lived if they have not fully experienced all there is to experience?
To put it another way, we as mortal beings can only experience a small amount of everything there is to experience. This is because of our profound limitations in the grand scheme of things. If you require an example, we can never know what it feels like to stand on Jupiter. Even the things we do experience are largely forgotten with enough time. Our biggest limitation is our mortality. We all die and are thus subject to time.
For us, a fairly long life allows for a miniscule amount of experiences. All of which are lost upon our death. Now, consider what existence could mean for an infinite being. Such as God. My next question was, can an infinite being say that they exist or have lived if they have not had every experience in every scenario in every place at every time?
Think about what God is… all power, in all places at all times. God is everything, all matter, energy, life itself. How can this all knowing being truly know all without having experienced it all?
This brings me to the question riddled conclusion to this situation, what if all of life is a wheel in the sky that keeps on rolling? For the purpose of God attempting to live infinite lives in infinite places through all of time infinitely so that instead of being just a concentration of energy in empty nothingness, this entity has found a way to exist the only way he could? By portioning himself off, putting tiny bits of himself into us (and other life forms surely) purely to make an opportunity to experience… everything?
You may be thinking, this dude is friggin' loco, but if you’ve made it this far, you are officially entertained. :) Plenty more of my strange theories to check out.
Thank you for reading and much love to you all!

Evaluation - Purpose
[Game] The direction I’ve decided to go with was an infinite dungeon crawler, with different weapons containing different side effects, whilst battling enemies that constantly gets stronger and stronger as the player progresses, the reason why I’ve decided to go this direction because I think that the players should do what they can to adapt to their current situation  with mechanics and items provided by the game, so in this instance, the players shall switch to their best weapon for that certain situation, ranging from being low on health or to finish an enemy quickly, travelling through an endless minefield of hostile machineries. Although this may sound like a separate matter to the concept or theme, however, it can be explained as it can be instead, to purposely show this, the theme and concept is the player attempting to prevent the singularity, although singularities cannot be altered, this creates an endless loophole, and the player in a hostile environment must adapt to their playing field and use the resources given. One thing that I really did need to change was that my original idea was that the player could actually win the game, by completing all levels and dungeons or levels, this was later on changed as the term Singularity is often described as irreversible. The reason why I’ve decided to walk towards this direction for this outcome is that realising that the game does not have an inventory system, it eliminates the point of having a linear game, this is because that having an inventory system in an infinite arcade like game can come across as useless, meanwhile linear games such as dark souls or elden ring is best with an inventory system as linear games provides items from quests or overworld items that they can carry.
Tumblr media
[Art] The direction I’ve decided to go with was sort of trying to connect tech wear, and futuristic clothing ideas, in which to show a sense of shroud. The reason behind this is that tech wear is mostly described as very efficient clothings, in which it contains many pockets, waterproof material and strongly supports flexible movements, this presents itself as the perfect fit for combat clothing, to respond to this, I gave my characters a tech wear like top and jacket to represent combativity. To add a futuristic element, I added light stripes to represent a similar sense of genji from overwatch, because the way genji’s outfit works is that he represents a cyber ninja, releasing a sense of futurism. I took this idea and applied them to my design, also for the same reason. All this collectively connects to the brief through the use of shroud and futuristic ideas. One thing I did need to change was many aspects from the first two or three designs, for instance; the first design was too exposed and it didn’t match the brief correctly, the second design showed only a small amount of sense of shroud although displaying clothing that rejects the brief, the third one had a strong representation and connection to the brief but was rejected by very minor elements from the brief such as footwear and lack of cloak like clothing. Generally I didn’t need to change the general idea of my design ideas, except for minor elements that I need to watch out for that might in some way reject the brief.
