How much do we as Americans pay for premiums every month? $200? $400? And that's to insurance companies. And when we need something done, insurance either pays a small amount, or doesn't pay at all because your, for example, $4,000 deductible hasn't been met.

Okay mister economics, try this. You go down to the liquor store and buy a candy bar. The candy is priced at 1.99, but you pay tax, so it's 2.29. Is that really that inconvenient? Well basically if you pay a monthly $100 candy premium, and you pay 2.10 for that candy, THAT IS AMERICAN HEALTHCARE.

The system of taxation for healthcare would not nearly be as high as the premiums we already pay, seeing as a lot of it could come out of the taxes we already pay with our paychecks. And then you'd have.....yes....FREE healthcare, because not receiving a $20,000 bill for a broken arm, but instead nothing but a fixed arm and a smile, I'd say that's as free as you can get.

Shut the fuck up with your "take economics" bullshit. Our system is a scam.

my thigh has been numb for months bc I have a compressed nerve in my spine and we couldn’t afford the insurance free chiropractic care that I need bc legal debt and bills and I don’t have health insurance yet bc 26 and my id is expired and now I need to get a new one and then apply for state health insurance and then when I finally get that at some point this year I’ll then have to find a doctor that’s not fatphobic and that I can hopefully convince that I need chiropractic care for my spine and they’ll get me a recommendation so my insurance can cover it hehe

My country just reached an all time low. They are voting to make surrogacy a universal crime (for those of you who don't know, a universal crime is something that is illegal even if done in another country) and I have been battling idiots and terfs (which in Italy are very much against surrogacy because fuck women but we still call ourselves feminists) alike all day because this is giving me nausea. I feel drained and hopeless for this fucking country and part of me is hoping my gf will get a job literally anywhere else and I can leave this dump of a place.
