i just had a Thought that im now super curious about because like... everyone creates things for different reasons and views those things differently at every point in the process, right? so as a little game, tell me in the tags/replies/whatever what your art is to you

ill go first: for me, writing is like a big puzzle/scavenger hunt that i get to design and then present to others to pick apart and find Patterns and Shinies and Connections, while drawing can either be plucking candies out of a bowl and savoring them, or, when connected to writing, it’s those innocuous set dressings that when you look closer have hints that could recontextualize everything, or could just be pretty exaggeration
