Kink List With Jack Hughes
Tumblr media
A = Aftercare (What they’re like after sex)
He's very gentle and considerate. He makes sure you are comfortable and satisfied before, during, and after. He's also open and communicative, so if there are any issues or things either of you would like to change, you can discuss them openly without judgement.
B = Body part (Their favourite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
His favorite body part of his is his legs. They're long and strong, and He always gets compliments on them. When it comes to you, he really enjoys a sexy and curvy figure, he likes how it fills out clothing in an attractive way. He appreciates the softness of your curves and the shape provided. He also likes how curves create a sense of sensuality that can be very enticing.
C = Cum (Anything to do with cum basically… I’m a disgusting person)
On your breasts - particularly there's something so satisfying to him about cumming on your boobs. He loves how they squish and jiggle as his load lands on them.
D = Dirty Secret (Pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
He would find it extremely sexy seeing you wearing his jersey would make him feel like you’re his in a very intimate way. It’s like saying, “I’m yours, and you’re mine.” It’s a visual representation of your connection and would be a huge turn-on for him.
E = Experience (How experienced are they? Do they know what they’re doing?)
I would say he's fairly experienced. He's had a few relationships over the years and has experimented with different things over time. He knows that he's not an expert, but I think he knows enough to be confident in his abilities.
F = Favourite Position (This goes without saying. Will probably include a visual)
Doggy style - There's something incredibly hot about having complete access to your body while being able to watch you squirm with pleasure.
G = Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment, or are they humorous, etc)
I'd say he swings both ways. When things are serious and intense with you, he can be very earnest and passionate. But he also likes to lighten the mood by making jokes or teasing you in a playful way. He's definitely more relaxed when things are lighthearted, but can switch into a more serious mode quickly.
H = Hair (How well groomed are they, does the carpet match the drapes, etc.)
He's definitely well-groomed, but whether the carpet matches the drapes is up to interpretation. Some people might say yes, and some might say no. I'll leave it up to your imagination.
I = Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect…)
When it comes to the romantic aspect of sex, he's definitely a bit of a hopeless romantic. He likes to be passionate and sensual, treating every moment together with you as something special. He enjoys the intimacy of looking into each other's eyes, stroking your hair, and kissing your lips. It's all about expressing his feelings and creating a connection with my partner that goes beyond physical gratification.
J = Jack Off (Masturbation headcanon)
Depends on how long he has to spare. If he's got a bit of free time during the day, he might masturbate twice or even three times. And if he's really feeling really horny or stressed out, he might even do it four or five times in a single session. But on average, I'd say he cums around two to three times a day.
K = Kink (One or more of their kinks)
For starters, he is into rough play – bondage, spankings, and all sorts of kinky stuff. He loves it when someone is helpless under his control.
L = Location (Favourite places to do the do)
He's partial to the bedroom, but there’s something about being out in the wild that’s really exciting. It’s a thrill to know that you might be caught at any moment, and have to be quick and discreet. He also loves hotels or vacation rentals with a nice view of the city. It’s really luxurious and adds an element of luxury to the experience especially up against a window.
M = Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going)
There are many things that turn him on, but physical touch is one of his weaknesses. He loves it when you run your hands along his skin or lightly caress his neck. There's also something really erotic about watching you slowly undress before him. The anticipation and the thought of what might come next sets his body on fire.
N = NO (Something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
He wouldn't do anything that made you uncomfortable or felt pressured into doing. He also wouldn't do anything that he wasn't comfortable with himself.
O = Oral (Preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc)
He usually prefers to give rather than receive, but he also likes to switch it up and receive occasionally. He thinks there's something incredibly pleasing about pleasing his partner. But there's also a lot of joy that comes from being pampered and treated to something special.
P = Pace (Are they fast and rough? Slow and sensual? etc.)
It depends on the situation and your desires at the moment. He can be fast and rough if the moment calls for it, but he's also skilled at taking things slow and making sure both of you are thoroughly satisfied. He can be very sensual and passionate when the time is right, too. He likes to switch up his style to keep things exciting and give both of you what you need in that moment.
Q = Quickie (Their opinions on quickies rather than proper sex, how often, etc.)
Let's just say that when the mood strikes him, he doesn't hesitate to take advantage of it. Maybe two or three times a week, if everything lines up perfectly for you both.
R = Risk (Are they game to experiment, do they take risks, etc.)
He loves trying new things in the bedroom (or wherever it ends up getting down) and pushing limits. He's always up for experimenting with different positions, toys, kinks, and fetishes. He can even be talked into some risky behavior from time to time, just for the thrill of it.
S = Stamina (How many rounds can they go for, how long do they last…)
He can definitely hold his own when it comes to endurance during sex. He's been known to go for multiple rounds without breaking a sweat. In fact, sometimes he'll intentionally push himself to the limit just to see how long he can last. It usually takes him a few minutes to recover before he's ready for another round. So yeah, I'd say he's pretty damn good at going the distance. But honestly, it's not about how many times he can cum or how long he can last – it's about giving you an unforgettable experience that leaves you completely satisfied (and maybe even a little bit exhausted).
T = Toy (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?)
Yes, he does own toys. He has a few vibrators and a couple of other things. He uses them on himself when away from you and on you when he's in the mood, he doesn't want to get too reliant on them. He would rather connect with you with just your bodies.
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
He loves teasing. It's fun to play the game, to build up the tension, and then to pay off the tension with an amazing release. He especially likes to tease you and to watch you go crazy with anticipation.
V = Volume (How loud they are, what sounds they make)
He can be quite loud, but he's not obnoxiously loud. He prefers loud, heavy breathing, passionate kissing, soft moans, dirty talking, and grunts.
W = Wild Card (Get a random headcanon for the character of your choice)
He doesn't mind taking charge or being dominated either. In fact, he kind of loves it when someone can keep up with him and makes him lose control. And if you have any kinky fantasies you wanted to try out, he's more than happy to oblige. So go ahead, tell him your dirtiest, most depraved desires.
X = X-Ray (Let’s see what’s going on in those pants, picture or words)
Quite large, standing at about 8 inches long when fully erect. The shaft is muscular and veiny, with defined bulges along its length that hint at my intense stamina.
Y = Yearning (How high is their sex drive?)
I'd say he has a pretty high sex drive - He's pretty much always up for some fun and can get pretty enthusiastic and passionate when the moment arises. Sometimes he might need a bit of a warm-up, but once he's in the mood, he's ready to go.
Z = ZZZ (… how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
He can fall asleep quite quickly after intimacy, usually within a few minutes. However, if you tend to stay awake for a little longer. You'll cuddle and enjoy the warmth of your bodies until you fall asleep too.

Swordswoman Showdown Round 3
Malenia (Elden Ring) vs Xena (Xena: Warrior Princess)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Better here in a "preferred character" sense, not "who would win in a fight")
Propaganda below cut
Malenia
She is arguably the hardest boss in any Fromsoft game.; She is the favorited boss of Animal from the Muppets.
"Arguably" the hardest boss in any fromsoft game? You don't even know. She is OBJECTIVELY the hardest boss in any fromsoft game. On march 1st 2023, a bit more than a full year since the game's release, From Software released the stats on the amount of attempts each boss took for the players collectively. As of march 1st 2023 Malenia has killed the players 329.000.000 times. That's 10 Tarnished every second. That's almost the entire population of the United States. Malenia is also an optional boss in a secluded area hidden away from everyone. According to PlayStation trophy statistics, only 37.9% of people who ever bought the game managed to even REACH Malenia in the first place. Which means among those 329.000.000 people she has obliterated were only the most dedicated of Fromsoft fans. Only 33.3% of people even managed to beat her. That number also includes everyone who beat her with summons, which makes her significantly easier. This means out of all people who bought the game on PlayStation 4 or 5 and reached Malenia which is about 3 million people, 377.000 just fucking dropped her, they didn't even do it with summons. Difficulty aside. Malenia is also extremely pretty and has the softest lips, her Goddess form looks like a painting. She fights with elegance and style unrivalled by any boss in the game, dancing through the battlefield with deadly, fluid motions. Malenia is also 256cm or 8'4" tall. Huge woman.
post let me solo her
#malenia is 8'4“ flat chested and broad shouldered#she kills you with incredible grace and poise#trans icon#id let her Waterfowl Dance on me and Infect Me with her Scarlet Rot...
#malenia is so dedicated to the sword it mends her failing body. she lives by fighting#her strongest attack is a technique that halts the progress of her terminal illness#i can never stop thinking about that. by all means she couldve rotted into a mile of mush before the game started#but she persists!! she persists!!!
#malenia blade of 15 layers of contradictory goals and personality traits summed up in like twelve total lines of dialogue#she's a stupidly good character but shes also a woman who did horrible things in a game with a deliberately vague narrative#so everyone just enters What A Bitch / Step On Me mode with her#as they are wont to do. the lowlives.#anyway what would happen if you hated yourself and successfully became someone who can do plenty of good#and yet the only way to live on and keep doing good would be to embrace the self who causes so much pain#but there's nothing left. so you wait and you rot and you keep telling yourself that you're still the self you love#and then you have to do it again. and now your conflictual agony is over because clearly you lost yourself long ago#and you look up knowing that you're the danger you've always feared you were. and you smile#and turn john eldenring into filet in 2 seconds flat
Xena
Warrior Princess
She wields a sword and chakram. Just had to submit a biconic swordswoman.
i love her. she made me gay as a kid. Anyway, her weapon of choice is her sword, she is obviously very good with it
#unfortunately i have to choose and i have to choose xena#a) utena had no warcry. b) xena fought gods. c) xena has kickass goofy comic book combat which is my favorite
xena didn’t just fight gods. she fucked up a girl’s life so bad that she (calisto) devoted her entire being to destroying everything that xena loved that ended up with calisto becoming a god in order to destroy xena, which didnt work because xena entombed her in lava. and then when xena and gabrielle encountered calisto in the (christian) afterlife (different from the greek one which they also fought her in), calisto dragged gabrielle to hell so xena became an archangel in order to save gabrielle and then sacrificed herself in order to undo all the harm that she did in calisto’s life and then when not!jesus (played by timothy omundson) revives xena and gabrielle, calisto impregnates xena with the reincarnation of calisto’s soul in order to end the cycle of hate. xena doesnt just fight gods. she creates and destroys them
#this isnt even mentioning her fighting julius ceasar several times#telling brutus that caesar is not his friend#xena and gabrielle’s souls reincarnating across centuries in order to kick ass and fall in love all over again#or the time xena became a god but tbh that ep is kinda ‘uhhhhh…..’ even if they did hire a consultant for it
#I think everyone here knows to vote for Xena. I think a couple people here might have some propaganda for Xena saved already#everyone remember that Xena/Gabrielle is CANON and that's a pretty big deal also#(does anyone have that Xena Loves Trans People interview around because that would also make good propaganda)7:47 PM

I’m rereading the Cat Wizards books, and I was wondering what the rules are for feline wizards competing in a game of hauissh? Are they permitted the use of magic, or is that frowned upon? For that matter, what are the rules on sidling, since in theory any cat might do so?
To start with, let's look at the rules. (Adding a cut here. Below is the full afterword, "On Hauissh," from the first book in the Feline Wizsrds trio, The Book of Night with Moon.
On Hauissh
This occupation of the People, described only briefly in the literature by ehhif writers (the most reliable and perceptive is Pratchett*) has occasionally been called a pastime. But such a characterization is similar to calling soccer, baseball, and American-style football “pastimes”—for which human beings have sometimes wagered and won or lost fortunes, ignored almost all the other important aspects of their lives, and occasionally died under circumstances both comic and tragic.
An exhaustive analysis of hauissh would be far beyond the scope of this work, but it seems useful to include at least a cursory summation.
The origins of the Game
Hauissh is of such antiquity that it almost certainly predates the time when felinity became self-aware. Its most basic structure implies a conflict over hunting territory between two prides, and most authorities agree that it evolved from this strictly survival-oriented behavior to a more structured but still violent dominance game between individual members of a single pride or (later) extended pride-community, with the loser usually being run off the pride’s territory, or killed. (Even now the biggest predators tend to play hauissh in this mode, considering the refinements of later millennia to be oversophisticated or effete).
It would be as difficult to determine exactly when feline self-awareness arose as it would to fix a period during which hauissh began to develop beyond concerns of food, territory, and power into the more intellectual and entertainment-oriented version now played by cats the world over. All the families of the People seem to have at least some knowledge of the basic concepts of the game on an instinctive level. But the demands and challenges of the modern form of hauissh require a great deal more of the player than instinct alone will provide.
The rules
There is no mandated maximum number of players of hauissh, though games involving more than thirty or so players in one session are likely to be considered “inelegant.” Most play involves no more than ten or twelve players, though, since some level of personal relationship is considered desirable among a majority of those playing.
Hauissh involves controlling a space—yard, sidewalk, field—with one’s presence. This presence, called aahfaui, is not a constant, but reflects aspects of the player's seniority, and is in turn affected by the space one is trying to control.
“Control” is defined by eius’hss, “being alone.” The minute a player can see another cat, the control is diminished slightly, but not in such a way as to lower one’s score. Control is diminished more if the other cat can in turn see the first player, at which point the first player’s score suffers.
A successful position is one in which a cat can see several others, without himself being seen. The beginner would immediately think that this could be easily achieved by being down a hole while able to see several other cats. But such concealment is not considered gameplay in the rules. A cat retreating to such a position, having previously been in play, is then considered out of it until once again exposed.
Many other variables may affect play. Most important of these is eiu’heff, a variable expressing a combination of the nature and size of the space being controlled. Nearly as important is hruiss’aessa, the location of the “center” of the game—the normally invisible spot around which the game revolves, representing (in more abstruse thought about hauissh) the Tree under which the Great Cat took his stance against the Serpent on the night of the Battle for the World, the battle by the River of Fire. The ultimate point of the game is not necessarily to reach or occupy this spot, but to dominate or master it, while also dominating as many of the other players as possible.
Feline nature being what it is, individual People tend to resist domination, even for the best of reasons. So it can easily be seen that any given bout of the Game will be prolonged and fairly stressful. Most play in hauissh is individual, “team” play being considered too difficult to maintain for long periods, and likely to cause what People call in Ailurin laeu’rh-sseihhah, an unhealthy shift in one’s nature toward a “foreign” style of being. (Cf. the German word uberfremdung, “overalienation.”) “Teamwork” in this context is seen as a distasteful sort of pack behavior better left to other less cultivated species, such as houiff.
Play begins when a quorum of players are determined to have arrived and to be ready to start. It ends when one player is deemed to have successfully “dominated” the hruiss’aessa and a majority of other players. A single such sequence is a “passage,” roughly equal to an inning in baseball. Passages are grouped together in larger groups called “sequences,” but there are no fixed numbers of passages-per-sequence, or sequences-per-game. Consensus usually determines when another passage is required to fill out a sequence (and it almost always is).
A detailed or exact description of how scoring is done is beyond the scope of this work. Scoring hauissh fairly and to all players’ satisfaction is difficult work, full of imponderables, and much more an art than a science. It is nowhere near as clear-cut as scoring in any sport with which humans are familiar... and frankly, if it was, cats would probably lose interest in the game almost immediately.
There are so many rules and variables influencing score—for example, weather, local conditions such as traffic or the passage of ehhif or other species through play, physical condition of the players, and total time of play compared against time actually spent making moves, to name just a very few—and so many of the variables and requirements are mutually contradictory, that scoring a bout at the end of a round or “passage” much more closely resembles a politely contentious discussion among Talmudic scholars than an umpire yelling “Yer out!”
To speak of how one “wins” at hauissh is a misnomer born of looking at the pastime through the human mindset. It is nearly as erroneous as speaking of “winning” at cricket—the human game that comes closest to hauissh in its (unspoken) expression of the idea that gameplay for its own sake is far more important than a result, of whatever kind. Like cricket, a bout of hauissh can go on for days or weeks, can be called on account of bad light (i.e., atmospheric conditions so bad that not even cats can see each other), and will often stop, repeatedly, for meals. It can also run up extravagant scores that sound really impressive when you talk about them afterward, but which are actually indicative of neither group really being able to get the better of the other, no matter how long the process continues.
The record duration for a single bout of hauissh was set in 1716 (the actual date being either in January or February, but uncertainty involved with the Gregorian calendar shift and its coordination with the People’s timekeeping makes a definite date unavailable). Six cats located in the town of Albstadt-Ebingen, then in the duchy of Württemberg and now in southern Germany, began a bout that lasted until 1738 and was completed by five of their great-grandchildren. The bout was forced to end in a draw because of a local outbreak of the plague, which killed what was judged a “threshold” number of the competitors.
The Game, to People interested in it, naturally has profound philosophical and even mystical meaning. One saying is that “Rhoua plays best,” the indication being that Queen Iau, in Her aspect of “Winking” Rhoua, can by definition see all People without being seen Herself, and that the Game is therefore a metaphor for life… which is (come to think of it) exactly what ehhif say about baseball, and soccer, and nearly every other sport down to tiddlywinks.
*in The Unadulterated Cat (Gollancz, 1989)
***
...So. As regards wizards playing the Game with other feline non-wizards: It seems likely that using wizardry in play would be seen as rude. I suspect that sidling, additionally, would put a wizardly Person out of play, as it would violate the rule about being seen. Hauissh, as the experts say, is exposure. Without that vulnerability, there is no Game.
When playing with other wizardly cats, though, there will almost inevitably be a whole different set of augmented rules determining what kinds of wizardry are seen as fair or permissible, and which ones aren't. If all bouts of hauissh are restatements in small of the Battle under the World Tree on the night when (as even ehhif documentation tells us) "the enemies of God were destroyed," then using wizardry in the great Game is an evocation of the deeds of the Queen and Her pride, and verges on the sacramental. Such conditions would seem to call for more wizardry, not less—wizardry being Her gift to felinity in dark sa'Rraah's spite. But of such bouts most People know nothing. The Whispering (as feline wizards call the Manual-style knowledge of wizardry that they have from Queen Iau's wise daughter the Silent One) would be the only source of information about gameplay and scoring "when lightning is bound into the Claw".

Who to submit and vote for pluralsswagbracket?
RISE MIKEY
Tumblr media
What makes him plural?
Well ofc his alters! And he has not 1, not 2
BUT FOUR OFFICIAL ALTERS/PERSONAS
And they all swag with the best scene of them
Dr feelings
Donnie: Uh, what is happening?
Mikey: Good Morning. I'm Dr Feelings. Welcome to my seminar, "Hug it out"!
Donnie: Dr Feelings? I thought you were Dr Delicate Touch.
Mikey: (evilly) Dr Delicate Touch feels nothing.(back to normal) Lesson one: Because I said so is not an answer. You need to learn a healthy way to express your feelings to your family.
Donnie: Yes, feelings. Hot, cold, sleepy, hungry - -
Mikey: (intterupts donnie by wacking donnie with his pointing stick)
Mikey: No. Feelings like anger. Remind you of anyone? (Shows a picture of donnie yelling at SHELLDON)
Donnie: Nope!
(Ominous music plays as Mikey gives him a suspicious look as he changes the channel to Splinter yells at Donnie, then he starts changing them all over as donnie slowly realises in horror)
Tumblr media
Dr delicate touch:
Mikey: Bullhop, we're friends. So this will be easy to say. YOU'VE GOT TO GO! HIT THE BRICKS SLOPPY!
Bullhop:What? You’re kicking me out?
Mikey:That’s right! You have been working a nerve hozer!
Honestly just have the whole compliations

Dr positive
Draxum:Baron Draxum needs the help of no one!
Mikey:Oh really? When I found you, were you or were you not living on the street?
Draxum: Maybe.
Mikey:Powerless because your soul got sucked out by the dark armor, wanted for crimes in the Hidden City and who set you up in style?
Draxum:(sighs) Dr. Positive.
Miley:That’s right. Dr. Positive. The one who’s gonna turn you from bad guy to glad guy. From sad heep to happy sheep. From devil to A level baby.
Tumblr media
Dr rude (IT WASN'T EVEN AIRED YET WE LOVE IT so just watch the whole thing (def not cos I'm too lazy to type the transcript)
youtube
Tumblr media
A couple even made fics on him having DID disorder
This is my favourite which even mentions one not said in the show of "ninja mode"
and this one mentions mikey's DID
Why would he have DID
"There are a variety of triggers that can cause switching between alters, or identities, in people with dissociative identity disorder. These can include stress, memories, strong emotions, senses, alcohol and substance use, special events, or specific situations"
Which MIKEY DOES (quote from rottmnt wiki)
"To deliver a harsh truth in his "Doctor Delicate Touch" method, Mikey often starts off being sweet, but quickly becomes angry and frank ("Man VS. Sewer").
Doctor Feelings uses his emotional intelligence to advise others ("Breaking Purple"),
and Mikey faces issues with determined optimism as Doctor Positive ("Repairin' the Baron").
And well dr rude wasn't aired and was only when he was pretending to be a villain
BUT myyyy personal hc is that mikey gets burnt out from his alters trying to keep the dysfunctional family together and try to stop the distancing and fighting, as well as, the villains.
So to cope, another alter slowly comes out as dr rude
But hey why would he have DID, isn't it usually from trauma?
Ya telling me
a family raised in the sewers
who hasn't seen anyone like them in several years
with a traumatised dad that's not emotionally available
and villains trying to kill you and your brothers regularly
not traumatising?!
As for the swag, honestly he speaks for them self (or selves). LIKE LITERALLY NOT EVEN THERE THAT LONG AND WE ALREADY LOVE THEM
Tumblr media
So y'all submit for mikey TO GET HIM IN FOR THE VOTES
@pluralswagbracket
Edit: MIKEY GOT IN
This is gonna be pinned till the whole thing over
Edit 2: IF MIKEY AT LEAST WINS AGAINST YOU KNOW WHO THAT BEAT OUR AUTISTIC TURTLE I WILL PUT MY DRAWING OF MIKEY ON MY SIDEBLOG @cray-who-nah-im-just-crazy-a-wip

a breakdown of opev reg’s style evolution because i felt like talking about it :)
PART 1: OGNI PARTE E VIVA🍊
in opev, regulus didn’t truly develop a sense of style yet. he was still trying to figure himself out, and figure out a way to express that in ways he was comfortable.
regulus mostly dressed for comfort in opev.
in the warm seasons, he’d wear a lot of loose button ups and t-shirts, shorts or swim trunks. he most of the time wore a pair of converse, and sometimes sunglasses. in the colder seasons, he wore standard cold weather things like sweaters, jeans, gloves, hats, etc etc. he also rewears outfits often.
there were times where he would show some of his personality in his outfits. the things he truly did style were: his hair, his jewelry (namely the star of david necklace), and the occasional band t-shirt. his clothes usually are cool tones, such as blues and cool greens, as well as neutrals like white and black. outside of those things, he dressed pretty generically.
i feel his style reflects the music he listened to at the time. opev regulus was on the new wave train from the start, being a fan of the talking heads and joy division early in their careers. while joy divison was dark in tone, talking heads was relatively upbeat and a more familiar band to regulus as they’d been around longer than joy division.
my inspirations for his outfits was, very unsurprisingly, elio from call me by your name. although i did stray away from the polo shirts, because i didn’t think opev regulus would really wear those. i wanted to keep a sense of put togetherness despite his lack of personal style by having him wear loose button ups a lot and take care of his hair.
there is only one instance in opev where regulus has a chance to dress up a little bit, and that’s when he and james go to an art gallery. regulus wears a button up shirt, jeans, and a jean jacket.
good elio references i looked at a lot for opev:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
PART 2: TEMPS SANS FIN🌃
i know we haven’t dived too much into the sequel yet, but oh boy do i have plans for his fashion there.
between opev and tsf, regulus has developed a true sense of self and a sense of fashion of his own. part of that was from his experiences in university, where he dated a musician named chiara who got him more into the new wave/goth music scene. another part was simply him getting older and living independently.
in the 70s regulus dressed for necessity and with a vague new wave influence, and in the 80s he expanded on that a bit.
i’d describe his 80s style as predominately new wave with a bit of goth and new romantics thrown in there.
he has kept with his loose button ups, but has traded his converse for boots and began to experiment a little more with accessories. necklaces, rings, and yes even earrings and nail polish have made their way into his outfits. he’s also began to use makeup, albeit just a little, when it comes to his eyes, reminiscent of the goth and new romantics influences he’s gathered.
his hair has changed over the years, and he’s started doing a variation of the wavy pompadour/elephant trunk hairstyle popular among the new wave scene as well as more mainstream scenes. i imagine the hairstyle to be a bit like duckie’s from pretty in pink, but mostly like elio’s hair in the epilogue of cmbyn.
as i said for part 1, music greatly inspires opev regulus’s style. in the 80s, his edge of goth and new romantics comes from the music he started listening to. he leaned more into goth in the 80s with his love for bands such as the cure (at least early the cure), depeche mode, bauhaus, echo & the bunnymen, and the smiths— he also kept up his love for joy division, while his passion for talking heads faded a bit as they wandered more into pop territory.
inspirations i have for regulus include: john taylor, steve jansen, a little bit of john koviak and robert smith, but heavy with the john taylor
photo inspo (most of which are john taylor. i’m sorry. his outfits are just almost exactly what i picture reg wearing in the 80s.)

Have you listened to interview Zane Lowe recently did with The National yet?
Yes, and oh boy I can’t wait for this one. Seems like she’s been getting at least some of her inspiration of “switching perspectives” from the collaboration Matt does with his wife. I love it when years of back and forth and hearing her talk about different perspectives comes to the forefront. But I’ll skip to the part you’re probably referring to (took the liberty of typing it out):
And speaking of collaborations, you know, Phoebe’s not the only one making an appearance on this record, we’ve got Taylor Swift, who I feel like The National expanded universe includes Taylor and I know you guys made an appearance on her track Coney Island, but talk about how that relationship made its way onto this project. It’s the first real National album in four years, everybody’s been off doing these projects, you know you and your wife did the stuff on Cyrano and Aaron’s been super busy with his own stuff and this feels like the first time that you guys are all coming back in the studio and brining those experiences with you. What was it like working with Taylor on this project?
Matt Berninger: Well, I met Taylor along time ago and we knew Taylor was a fan and eventually we got to know her and her work with Aaron was so brilliant, and I know that she was really interested in the writing process and how Carin [his wife] and I collaborate and so when the song The Alcott, when I wrote that and it very much is a perspective of one person sort of coming to try to reconnect with a one person in a space, a room like in a hotel bar and I’d written all that side of it and Aaron sent it to Taylor right away and I think she jumped right into sort of like the role of the other voice, the other perspective and like I was writing about my wife but it sets a scene of a person with a notebook writing in a bar basically and she knew exactly and fit right into that. So when it came back, all of a sudden this song I’d written suddenly has the other viewpoint or the other perspective added to it by one of the greatest songwriters of all time.
More on this:
So some listeners have been surprised to see the two emerge, in recent years, as close collaborators. After the pandemic interrupted Swift’s promotional plans for her 2019 album, Lover, she reached out to the multi-instrumentalist Aaron Dessner to help produce two new albums, Folklore and Evermore, the latter of which featured all five members of The National—whom she called her “favorite band”—in some capacity. The albums easily could have amounted to a credibility-chasing costume change: pop star goes coffee shop. Instead, they refreshed Swift’s style by pairing sophisticated, moody arrangements with a new lyrical approach. Rather than once again mine her own life for lyrics, she imagined fictional scenarios: a teenage love triangle, a murder conspiracy among friends, a romance between two con artists. Swift was availing herself of the freedoms, even imperatives, that men in rock and roll had long enjoyed—projecting moral ambiguity rather than wholesomeness and virtue.
Now it appears that Swift may have pushed the men of The National in new directions too. On the band’s latest album, First Two Pages of Frankenstein, out in April, Swift’s influence feels pervasive. It’s not just her voice, which she lends to the lilting track “The Alcott”; she seems to have taught them something about the mode of candid self-expression that she has mastered. In so doing, The National and Taylor Swift have become one of the unlikeliest and most productive synergies in contemporary music—the cross-pollination of a gloomy indie-rock fraternity and proudly sentimental, stadium-charming pop.
But the band guards against cheap inspirationalism by relying on the idiosyncrasies that have defined it all along. Its old motifs—romantic death and rebirth, sad saps saved by realists, drums that burst like flak cannons—now serve a new aim by acting as a reminder that empathy doesn’t come easily. Rescuing people can mean coaxing them to share how they really feel—and that process requires psychological struggle. On “Alien,” Berninger urges someone to “drop down out of the clouds you’re in.” A hint of conflict lurks in the line, acknowledging just how bracing such conversations can be. Real breakthroughs, these artists have shown in their work together, come from blunt and open exchange.
As Swift and Berninger sing on “The Alcott”: “I tell you my problems / You tell me the truth … You tell me your problems / And I tell you the truth.”

Stud Count — S/T (Smartpunk)
Tumblr media
youtube
Philadelphia’s Stud Count come on like tuff punks, but at heart, the band may yearn to craft tuneful pop songs. On this self-titled debut LP, you can hear Stud Count working through some of the themes and gestures that have informed successful pop-punk acts like Pup or fellow Philadelphians Modern Baseball: big songs about bigger feelings, with intimations of teenage unhappiness (even trauma) at metaphorical arm’s length; flailing or failed attempts at romance are narrated with more immediate dramatics. All of those bummer sentiments get articulated alongside major chords and melodic structures with plenty of hooks and slick guitar lines. And Stud Count holds a couple of ace cards in Norelle Green’s pipes and presence. She’s a born frontwoman (person?), and she’s figuring out how to move through her intonations and vocal affects with increasing assurance. “Through my Window” is among the most emphatic examples of those dulcet ambitions. She’s breathy-confessional, bouncy-urgent, icy-indifferent, sometimes all in the same verse — she’s not Debbie Harry yet, but she’s working on it.
Like Blondie in late 1977, Stud Count can still crack wise and play dirty (and this reviewer prefers it when they do). “The Way I Walk” and “That’s How (I Get It)” both clock in way under two minutes and capture Philly’s grit and pace. In the refrain to “The Way I Walk,” Green shouts, “Dirt! Dirt! Gimme the dirt! / Put me to work!” She just about transforms her subjection to the city’s unforgiving demands into assertions of her own power, and it’s exciting to hear. She doesn’t have the same range in this declamatory style; like Eve Libertine or more recently Jackie from Material Support, Green compromises her vocal modulations in the shorter, punchier songs for force and legibility, so you can hear the words — and not everyone can sing like Penelope Houston. It’s also the case that lead guitarist Max D’ambra can’t resist including some glib soloing. Even when Stud Count is playing fast and hard, the band wants to demonstrate its glossy chops.
They may be at their best when they attempt to synthesize the record’s dominant modes, exploring the challenging space in which pop’s pleasures effortlessly emerge from punk’s menacing slouch. That’s a hard trick to pull off. The Ramones were past masters of the form, but they far more frequently expressed poppy delight and punky venom in separate statements; seamlessly integrated songs like “Beat on the Brat” and “You’re Gonna Kill that Girl” are transporting experiences, precisely because of their rarity. Stud Count approaches that sort of gloriously subverted anti-hit tune with “Pleasure Center.” The hard stuff and the shamelessly sugary occur in rapidly rotating sections of the song, but that seems like a calculated move, expressing shifting “pain” and “pleasure,” and a lover whose perfect fusion of those two feelings remains a mystery. The song is smartly organized and delivered with pitch-perfect intensity. Stud Count may be more drawn toward pop punk’s sensibility, but they can punch and snarl, too. It’s pretty great when they land a clean shot; when you’re face down in the dirt (gimme it), you remember that it has its own peculiar sweetness.

How Can FC 24 Break Free from the "Meta" in Football Gaming?
Fans have criticized EA FC 24 for lacking variety and fun in gameplay. This article explores ways to break free from the repetitive meta-play style and enhance the gaming experience.
Tumblr media
The Staleness of Gameplay:
Players express their disappointment with each passing year as new additions fail to diverge gamers from adhering to the meta. Despite efforts by developers to introduce different playstyles, most players continue using the same set of tactics, formations, and techniques for guaranteed wins.
Changing Players' Mindsets Organically:
While some believe that EA's primary focus is making money and getting more players to buy FC 24 coins rather than creating engaging experiences for players, it's essential to consider potential solutions that could change the mindset of gamers. One suggestion includes encouraging players to use their favorite real-life footballers or themed teams instead of relying solely on meta choices.
The Link Between Gameplay and Rewards:
The addictive nature of rewards and packing mechanics perpetuates the cycle of chasing after meta strategies. As long as gameplay remains intrinsically linked with rewards, many players prioritize winning at all costs over enjoying diverse playstyles.
Embracing Personal Playstyles:
Some individuals have found solace in breaking away from chasing after meta trends by focusing on playing how they genuinely enjoy the game without external influences like YouTube tutorials or tips. By embracing personal preferences and striving for satisfying goals or hard-won matches playing "the beautiful game," they find genuine satisfaction despite frustrations with metagame elements.
The Role of Competitive Ranked Systems:
Implementing a competitive ranked system similar to rivals or WL might push some players towards adhering to the meta in their quest for better rankings. However, it is worth considering that games like League of Legends have shown that extra rewards are not always necessary for players to adhere to metagame strategies and strive for improvement.
To break free from the repetitive meta playstyle in EA FC 24's career mode, players need a mindset shift. Developers should encourage diverse team choices, while gamers should prioritize personal playstyles and self-improvement over conformity.

Rubrics and Beyond: Creative Assessment Techniques for Diverse Learners
In a vibrant and ever-evolving educational landscape, one size no longer fits all. Traditional modes of assessment are quickly being replaced by more creative techniques that embrace the diversity of learners in the classroom. In the quest for a more personalized approach to assessment, the use of rubrics remains a crucial tool. However, to truly cater to the individual learning styles and needs of diverse students, we must go beyond rubrics and explore a wider range of innovative assessment techniques.
The Power of Rubrics
Rubrics are valuable tools for assessing student learning. They provide clear criteria for grading assignments and projects, making the grading process more objective and consistent. Further, rubrics serve as a communication tool between teachers and students, clarifying expectations and providing detailed feedback on student performance.
The application of rubrics caters to diverse learners by ensuring fairness and transparency. It fosters inclusivity by providing each learner with an equal chance of understanding the expectations of an assignment, thereby reducing ambiguity and bias. Rubrics can also be differentiated to cater to various learning styles and abilities.
Beyond Rubrics: Innovative Assessment Techniques
While rubrics are powerful, to truly tap into the potential of diverse learners, educators need to employ an array of creative assessment techniques that go beyond the conventional. Here are some strategies to consider:
Performance-Based Assessments: Performance-based assessments involve students demonstrating their understanding by performing a task. This could include presentations, debates, role-plays, experiments, or even creating an art piece. These assessments give students the opportunity to express their learning in ways that align with their strengths and interests.
Digital Portfolios: In the digital age, portfolios can serve as dynamic platforms for students to showcase their learning journey. By including projects, reflections, multimedia presentations, and other pieces of work, students can illustrate their growth over time. This allows educators to see a more comprehensive view of a student's abilities, as opposed to a snapshot from a single assignment or test.
Self and Peer Assessments: Self-assessment encourages students to reflect on their own work, fostering a sense of responsibility and ownership of their learning. Peer assessment, on the other hand, promotes collaboration and enables students to learn from each other. Both methods can provide valuable insights into the learning process and empower students to become more active participants in their education.
Game-Based Assessment: Leveraging the engaging nature of games, game-based assessments offer a fun and interactive way to evaluate learning. Through games, students can demonstrate their understanding in a low-stress environment, fostering both motivation and engagement.
Project-Based Assessment: Project-based assessments ask students to apply their knowledge and skills to solve real-world problems. This type of assessment not only tests students' understanding but also their critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills.
Learning Journals: Regularly updated by students, learning journals document thoughts, ideas, and reflections related to their learning experiences. It encourages students to engage in reflective thinking, fostering deeper understanding and helping teachers to gauge the students' conceptual grasp over time.
Tailoring Assessments to Diverse Learners
To effectively use these techniques, educators must consider the individual needs and learning styles of their students. Some students may excel in performance-based assessments, while others may find their strengths in project-based learning. By using a variety of assessment methods, educators can ensure that they are providing every student with an opportunity to shine.
Moreover, involving students in the assessment process—through methods like co-creating rubrics or self-assessment—can increase their engagement and make assessments more relevant to them.
In conclusion, while rubrics are a useful tool in the educator's arsenal, they are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to creative assessment techniques. By moving beyond rubrics and employing a range of innovative strategies, educators can create more inclusive, engaging, and personalized assessments that cater to the needs of diverse learners. The goal is not just to evaluate learning, but to make the assessment process itself a rich, rewarding, and enlightening experience for all students.

REFLECTION 1
In the past lesson in Creative Writing, We talk about the Languages of Creative Writing that consist Diction and Style, Tone, and Figurative Languages. I know the definition of it while discussing it.in the recent topic or lesson,There was a lot of talk about what is included in the subject of creative writing there is the language of creative writing. The Creative writing, a form of artistic expression, draws on the imagination to convey meaning through the use of imagery, narrative, and drama. This is in contrast to analytic or pragmatic forms of writing. This genre includes poetry, fiction (novels, short stories), scripts, screenplays, and creative non-fiction.and there is also a discussion about the characters there are major characters, minor characters and round characters.probably also taught what character is and three examples of character character is A person in a literary work; People and animals who are involved in a conflict in a story. Characterization: The methods a writer uses to develop the personality of the character. Character traits: the individual qualities that make each character unique.probably also taught what character is and three examples of character.Major Character given much development, more conflicts to resolve, more background story and more action. Minor Character - has certain purpose to move a plot.Round Character - has a capacity to surprise you in a convincing and eveen in a inevitable way. These character are most mysterious, richer and deeper.and there is also the discussion about the Modes of Fictions that includes Myth, Romance,, High Mimetic, Low Mimetic, and Ironic. I can differentiate these 5 parts of this.: Myth is the one who has the ability that is superior in "kind" to other people, Romance is the type of story where the hero has the marvelous actions but who is identified as a human. High Mimetic is the one that has a capability that they are strong but when you group them into higher class, they are not superior. Low Mimetic is the one that has no capable power whenever group you brought them. And lastly Ironic, It is the one that where the hero has an ability or intelligence "inferior". I learned too the important things in writing a fiction that classified as Setting, Props,Plot, and Theme. I know also the difference of Central Idea and Theme.Man against man and a fight between two people. The man versus society conflict is when a protagonist has a strong belief against the majority of the community or surroundings and decides to act on it.The Man against nature this is a fight against nature like earthquake, typhoon the movie 2012 can be compared to this. last is Man vs. self conflict usually involves the main character's inner struggle with self-doubts, a moral dilemma, or their own nature.understand the other discussion. Next time I will improve my listening so that I can understand the lesson discussed by my teacher.

⋆✴ Creative Writing Reflection #2 ✴⋆
Tumblr media
Every day that passes in our life we have new knowledge that we acquire and discover, including the Creative Writing where we learn to be more passionate, creative, imaginative and so on.After ma'am Tricia explained us the Different Types of Writing, Genre's of Creative Writing, Language of Creative Writing and etc, she again discussed new lessons. First here are the Characters which means that they are not real people nor imagery and fictitious, developed by writes using attitudes and characteristics that is imagined and noticed. Along with is that we have a 3 different Types of Characters. It can be classified as Major Character, Minor Character, and Round Character. Second, is The Modes of Fiction but before we continue let's have a short preview. So when we say Fiction, It is a short novel, novella or even a joke that are inherently creative through imagination. On top of that,we also have here the 4 Modes of Fiction and they are the Myth where the hero is a divine being with an ability superior in "kind" to other people ,Romance where the hero has the marvelous actions but identified as a human being with an ability superior in "degree" to other people and to his environment, High Mimetic where the hero is a leader with an ability superior to other people and to his environment, Low Mimetic where the hero is one of us and Ironic where the hero has the ability or intelligence "inferior” to ours. Next, is The Types of Plots (It is the happenings in the story).
