This is going to be a little bit all over the place because I haven't had the time to sort through my thoughts and also haven't really verbalized them BUT

I agree, all the harbingers look so good! And then also I'm excited to see what's up w/ Pulchinella because he looks like a nice little old man but also he's most definitely not going to be- and the extent of that is something that definitely piques my interest. Also the fact that he is the one who checks in on Tartaglia's family?? So he certainly is able to be trusted in that sense, at the very least >>

I've been reading up on the wiki to just refresh over what we do know from official stuff (announcements, trailers, quests, voicelines) and boy am I excited to meet more harbingers.

I'm sure that we'll start to see/interact with/fight multiple harbingers per region now that we are down to the last four of seven but have 8 left to really interact with-

Uh--OH yesyes ngl I think that Pierro is def a Dabi situation (iykyk), like it's a theory but the theory makes sense when put up against what we know about Pierro as well as the history of Kaeya + all that.

It's confirmed that Pierro is the 1st of the harbingers, both in power and because he was the very first one to be recruited by the Tsarista herself. We know that the Fatui, Khaenri'ah + the Abyss have some aligned views, especially following that of the Cataclysm. We also know that Kaeya's father is very likely alive- not to mention all the design parallels + the mask over the right side (a whole other thing I want to dive into, since we know that Kaeya, his father, Dainslief, and the husks, were not effected by the curse of Khaenri'ah the same way that the rest were. tl;dr, I'm thinking that the curse is more of a mark in the way that is pretty much fanon atm--something going on with the color of the pupil, something that obviously marks them nodnod

but continuing w/ theories stuff, with Pierro's mask matching that of the Bloodstained Chivalry's set-

The general idea of the Bloodstained Knight is that he left to fight during the Cataclysm, went into the Abyss, came back alive, but was tainted by death and had turned his loyalty to the Abyss after seeing what happened to Khaenri'ah.

here's the excerpt from the mask, specifically:

As the Bloodstained Knight reached out to help a person in need after slaying the monster. The way she cowered in fear made the knight realize: He was now a monster himself. Tainted by the blood and cruelty of his drawn-out war.

"Shield me from the eyes" "Of those I vowed to protect." "And shield them the horrors I am bound to effect."

So the thing is is that, symbolically, if Pierro is Kaeya's dad, then the fact that he's wearing a mask that mimics that of the Bloodstained Knight's makes sense.

Basically!

Kaeya's dad wants to avenge or rebuild Khaenri'ah, the Abyss and Khaenri'ah join forces (?), he ends up working with the Tsarista but doesn't realize the change that has occurred with him (whether or not this is something yet to come, idk) in the sense that his original intent is now tainted by what he has done in the Fatui or indirectly caused by partnering with the Abyss (?), but then continues because he's too far gone and would rather shoulder the burden as much as possible

mmm I'll have to go back and go through this again or maybe do a more comprehensive deep dive into research,,,

but for now sodifhe yes

Father of the Child - Mason Mount

A/N: So I’ve made up the girlfriend completely, as I didn’t want to use anyone real. I’ve also realised I could work for hours on imagines, making them excessively long because I like plot, but I also want to get them out for you to read aha so I've kept this one short... but not sweet. Enjoy :) 

TW: smut, angst, accidental unprotected sex, pregnancy

The shock of seeing the two lines on the pregnancy test was not a feeling you had ever prepared yourself for. You had sat down on the closed toilet seat, staring at the stick in your hand. With your other, you ran your fingers over your face, settling at your lips. You repressed the urge to bite your nail that was positioned perfectly between your teeth. 

You wouldn’t cry - at least that’s what you told yourself as you wouldn’t have been able to tell whether it was tears of joy or fear. You were too young to think about children at present, and now one was in your immediate future. You’d hoped children would be in your future at some point, and that vision had been drawn much far forward for you to comprehend it rationally. 

What were you supposed to do now? Tell the father supposedly…

The father was your best friend, of whom you had struck up a casual relationship with as you found yourself becoming lonely in your singlehood, and him off the back of a break-up. It suited you both well. You were attracted to each other enough for it to be fun, and you both had agreed from the start that it would be a no-feelings-involved affair. What did you do when the father was also the famous and talented Mason Mount, midfielder to both Chelsea and the England national team? 

It had been a few weeks since you’d last slept with Mason, and in that time you’d grown to understand your proper feelings for him. Having casual sex had given you a way of being physically close with him, but inside you were craving more. 

You both had been too busy to see each other properly, and now this gave you a proper reason to see him. You didn’t understand why this was happening though, you had been so careful with protection and made all the precautions necessary. Although, you hadn’t given it much thought at the time, but maybe the last time you’d been together was the reason for this all…

“Mase…” You cooed, running your hands through his hair as he settled inside of you gently. Tonight was different, there was more feeling between the two of you, different than the typical sex you normally undertook. Mason had kissed you before trailing open mouthed kisses down your neck, sucking briefly on your exposed collarbone. 

You had even put the condom on Mason yourself, enjoying the way he rose to your touch as you massaged him between your fingers. Now the product of your endeavours was targeting your core, bringing the sensations right to the front of your being as you moved underneath Mason. 

It seemed that the gentleness was to be short lived, as Mason sped up his thrusts to bring you even closer to your climax. He began to move roughly, making you cry out in pleasure and pain as he gripped onto the skin of your back. 

Due to the intensity, it was over quickly and in your convulsions you slipped off Mason. He wasted no time in re-entering you, but it felt different - you were feeling him. 

You both were too absorbed to notice properly, Mason moving steadily and you continuing to cry out. The feeling was incredible, Mason pressing your body into the mattress like this. You didn’t want it to end...

Your hand stopped, pausing in mid air before Mason’s doorbell. A nagging feeling within you was screaming at you to turn back. But you knew Mason needed, and deserved, to know. And you needed, and deserved, his support. Mason had one of the kindest souls you had ever met, this may be a shock to him too, but you had no doubt that he would give you all of the support that you need. 

It was mid-evening, meaning Mason would hopefully be back home from training. But, you were left waiting. Waiting for at least a couple of minutes before he appeared at the door. 

He was… disheveled. That was the only word for it. Mason had to shrug the shoulder of his T-shirt back into his body, but he left his hair a mess, probably because he didn’t even realise it was such a mess. 

You were too caught up in your own thoughts to mention it to him. Starting on your practised speech of what you wanted to say to him. 

“Mase, I’m really sorry for coming around unannounced, but there’s something I really need to talk to you about, urgently.” Rain began pattering down behind you, forcing you to involuntarily edge forward towards the door, practically inviting yourself in. Mason instinctively stood to the side, allowing you in. 

You continued talking as you entered the house, hearing him close the door ever so quietly behind you, “I don’t know how to tell you this and I’ve spent all day thinking about it. And I’m so sorry that it’s serious but-”

“Mason, babe?” 

You froze as a female voice came from upstairs. Your blood ran cold, and not from the rain outside. You’d recognise that voice anywhere. 

“Mase, who is it? Tell them we’re busy.” Footsteps started down the stairs and into your eyesight strutted Mason’s ex-girlfriend, the one you had helped him get over through many passion filled nights. 

She was as disheveled as he was, prompting the thought of what they had been doing before you had interrupted them. Quite frankly, you didn’t want to know. 

“Oh Y/N, it’s you.” She came to a stop a few steps from the bottom, and you noticed she was wearing one of Mason’s hoodies, and judging by the fit, she was wearing nothing underneath. 

You were too stunned to do anything, many questions running through your head. Why was she here? Mason had completely gotten over her, no? And the dreaded question, had they decided to get back together? 

You were torn between leaving immediately, finding refuge somewhere else, and someone to release the torrent of emotions you were now feeling onto. Yet your feet were glued to the ground, unable to move you away from this awful scene unfolding in Mason's hallway.  

Mason had opted to remain passive, acting like nothing was amiss even though you could see there was unease behind his eyes. If you had been any more aware, you would have put it down to regret, or the sudden realisation that he had made a mistake. 

“Y/N, you needed to tell me something?” His voice was calm and collected.

Look After You - Mason Mount

Not a request I just wanted to write it! I was listening to Look After You by The Fray while I wrote :)

The paper pages between your fingers were soft as you turned the page on the book you were reading. You were curled under a fluffy blanket on the sofa, after creating a cosy atmosphere in the living room. Candles had been lit, the fake fire was on, and a mug of hot chocolate was steaming on the coffee table in front of you.

Rain was pattering against the window, which had been consistent for the whole afternoon and evening. The temperature had dropped dramatically in the past week, brought in from the beginning of autumn. You had been sitting content for around twenty minutes before sound came from the front door. Mason was finally home from training late. 

You heard him before you saw him. He had shuffled through the hall, throwing his kit bag onto the floor and then pushed the door to the living room open. 

Your boyfriend was so… wet. 

“Oh my God.” You said, unable to say anything else as you looked at the current state of your boyfriend. His hair was plastered to his forehead, he had a bit of mug on his jaw, which was quite cute, and everything he was wearing was soaked through. 

“Why didn’t you have a shower before you came home?” You asked, putting your book down next to your mug. You didn’t even bother to put the bookmark in. Unless you were imagining things, you were sure you just saw Mason shiver even though the room was toasty and warm. 

“I forgot a spare kit. I only had what I’m wearing so what was the point?” 

He sounded quite worn out, his voice gravelly and hoarse. It was clear the new weather wasn’t agreeing with him yet. Every year he worked outside in the winter, but whenever the weather changed quickly in autumn it took him some time to get used to it. 

“You need to change and get warm, love.” You told him, moving the blanket off you to stand up. You went to hug him before realising just how wet he really was. 

“I’m fine, I’m fine.” Mason said. “I’ll just get some food first.” 

He was not fine. But you weren’t going to begrudge him food - the boy looked like he needed it. 

Mason trudged off towards the kitchen, leaving you to watch him go. You winced as you saw several drops of water fall off him and onto the carpet. This was not good for him at all. 

You ran upstairs in search of a towel for him, and to get out some warm clothes for him to get into after he was dry. You pulled several pieces of clothing out of drawers and the big wardrobe and set them out on the bed. 

When you heard him cough, and then sneeze loudly, from downstairs you decided on a different plan. 

“Mason Mount, you're having a hot bath!” You yelled down to him, already knowing you weren’t going to take no for an answer.

Hurrying into the bathroom you washed it down before turning the bot water tap on full blast. He was only going to make himself worse if he didn’t look after himself, and you were more than willing to look after him. Mason was clearly so tired from the day that he needed you to help him. 

He had heard you shout to him, and you could hear him trudge up the stairs. 

“Mase, baby, in here!” You wanted him to come straight to the bathroom. 

His jacket had been shrugged off, so there was something in that. But even the jersey he wore underneath was sopping wet too. 

Mason looked a bit sorry for himself as he allowed you to undress him. Sweet scents of florals came from the bath soak you had added to the water. Steam was curling from the water and flooding the room with heat. 

Mason’s skin was cold under your fingers. No matter how much you touched him you couldn’t warm him up alone, you needed the water’s help. 

When all of his clothes were lying in a heap on the floor you leant down to put your hand into the water to test the temperature. Hot, but not too hot. Perfect. 

Mason hissed slightly when he came into contact with the water. You worried briefly if it was too hot, and the difference in temperature would shock his system, yet he happily lay back submerging all of himself below the waterline. When Mason surfaced again his hair was wetter, but at least it was warm water. 

You sat with a hand trailing loosely into the water, watching your boyfriend sink down into the water to settle on his back. Colour was slowly coming back to his face from underneath the facial hair that had been allowed to grow over the past few weeks. 

“Join me, please.” 

You smiled at him, very happy to comply as you’d been wanting to, but you didn’t want to crowd his space. Undressing yourself, and creating a new pile of clothes on the floor, you sank down into the water with Mason. His arms came around you to hold you to him, your back relaxing against the muscles of his torso.

😭😭😭 Hearing we are closing in on the end of the campaign makes me so sad. I won't be able to watch live since I'm in the middle of busy season for me, but I'll make sure to keep this doc updated.

I remember the second Essek was introduced I was hooked. We had little information on him and hardly ever saw him, but the attitude and bravado he had was so memorable that I couldn't help but be drawn to his character.

Eventually, I started writing fanfic for shadowgast, and out of the need to remember exact details about every interaction with Essek, I started keeping this doc around sept 2019 (one of those fics i haven't touched since dec 2019 😬).

I figured every Essek fan would have a need for it as well and I was not wrong, so thank you everyone for enjoying this ride. Hopefully, I'll get to update the doc past the campaign wrap-up.
