Countryhumans as a species and so on...
Countryhumans are species apart of humans and they all have their "origin" forms.
Their origin forms, in the modern day show only during conflict,it can be a civil war or a full on world war. They increase their strength and stealth, also show some animalistic features, some grow fur or feathers, extra limbs, tails, wings or gain curtain power. This helps countryhumans have greater chances of surviving, even though they are already superior species to humans.
...
Long time ago countryhumans were humanoid creatures. With feathers, fur or sales covering their bodies. They also had different kinds of powers. But as the time passed and countryhumans grew more and more fonder and closer to humans. They started getting more human like traits. Which gets us in our time, where countryhumans are just like humans. Few exceptions still have wings and/or powers.
Now this is 100% fictional and a AU thing, but with help of some cough cough American money, EU started an investigation about the early countryhumans, trying to bring those genes back to 21st century. It did happen and first one to try that "medicine" out was Italy. Which was because he helped a lot with the project, but more symbolic, as he was once a home to and genetically connected to the Roman Empire (Big L to Greece tho, sorry not sorry.)
(I will do more of these cuz ya boy here has been in the fandom for almost 4 years and I have a lot of headcannons on my mind, also sorry I kinda spaced out and the two parts of this post are kinda?? connected I suppose,. I just have trouble writing/talking about one thing and not connect it with another.)

I once had a landlord offhandedly mention that his mother had set this house on fire before. He and his wife lived on the first floor, and i rented the third.
Apparently his mom didn’t like his wife. So she set their house on fire. The house i was living in.
He assured me that everything was fine now and that this was years ago, just kinda laughed, smiled, and said ‘You know how moms are’
Yes. I know how moms are. I know how fucked up moms are as well. I have known many fucked up moms and fellow children of fucked up moms.
Attempted murder through arson is not typical mom behavior, even for a fucked up abusive mom
Oh, and his mother lived next door 🙃

I'm getting so sick of major female characters in historical media being incredibly feisty, outspoken and public defenders of women's rights with little to no realistic repercussions. Yes it feels like pandering, yes it's unrealistic and takes me out of the story, yes the dialogue almost always rings false - but beyond all that I think it does such a disservice to the women who lived during those periods. I'm not embarrassed of the women in history who didn't use every chance they had to Stick It To The Man. I'm not ashamed of women who were resigned to or enjoyed their lot in life. They weren't letting the side down by not having and representing modern gender ideals. It says a lot about how you view average ordinary women if the idea of one of your main characters behaving like one makes them seem lame and uninteresting to you.

i've died on smaller hills, so i can't judge. but i do think it's funny whenever posts about the proper definition of a poor little meow meow circulate, considering none of them mention that the origin was a kpop fan's absolutely bonkers tweet about not being able to protect a full grown man who was getting backlash for including audio from the jonestown cult leader jim jones in one of his songs

I saw one scruffy older Cora-san design and had to draw my take on it immediately, with a bonus Law to fill space.
You can say a lot of things about One Piece Odyssey, but it did give us a Law & Cora tag-team fight in which Law shambled to the location of Cora's bullets and that is just objectively cool.

the infamous 'last sighting of a barbary lion in the wild' photo taken by marcelin flandrin (1925) haunts me to my core. there's something so achingly poetic about it.
