Sorry, I'm still on this. It's funny to me. And by funny I mean really sad actually. That it's always bisexual characters whose sexuality gets viewed as "up for debate." Like you have Harry Du Bois, a character who clearly expresses his attraction to his ex wife, who can ask Klaasje to "have fuck" with him within the first five minutes of the game, who is attracted to Joyce and keen to go on a date with Lilienne, but who ALSO gets flustered over the smoker on the balcony and his unbuttoned shirt ("he smells good. Why does he smell good?"), who fixates on impressing Tommy le Homme, who smells Kim's cologne and immediately calms down ("GABA receptors aflutter"). The "thrashed like a school boy" line. The "preferably a large man dressed in nothing but a towel, to thrash you while you're spread naked and helpless on a cool slab" line. The whole "bi-curious" conversation. The "it's good, but I'd prefer a man. A solid muscularity would support me better" line. The "muscles, I said muscles! I want manly-manly muscles". The line suggesting Harry's familiarity with bottoming?? ("Not many people know that. But you do. Go figure.") The way that sexuality interacts with class and expectations of masculinity and how that ties in perfectly with the games overarching themes, with the hope and the fear of the world surrounding him.

And even with all of that, somehow, it's apparently still up for debate.

Last week I mentioned the one oddball dinosauriform that had crocodilian-like osteoderm armor, so let's take a look at that one too.

Lewisuchus admixtus lived in what is now northwest Argentina during the late Triassic, around 236-234 million years ago. About 1m long (3'3"), it was an early member of the silesaurids – a group of dinosauriforms that weren't quite dinosaurs themselves, but were very closely related to the earliest true dinosaurs.

(They've also been proposed as instead being early ornithisichians, but we're not getting into that today.)

Much like its later silesaurid relatives Lewisuchus had a long neck and slender limbs, and was probably mainly quadrupedal, possibly with the ability to briefly run bipedally to escape from threats. Its serrated teeth suggest it was carnivorous, likely feeding on both smaller vertebrates and the abundant insects found in the same fossil beds.

Uniquely for an early dinosauriform it also had a single row of bony osteoderms running along its spine. Although it lived at close to the same time as the similarly-armored Mambachiton their last common ancestor was at least 10 million years earlier, and no other early dinosaur precursors with osteoderms are currently known – so this was probably a case of Lewisuchus independently re-evolving the same sort of feature.

The Princess' Dolls

After Danny has ascended to the throne of the ghost king, something goes wrong with his clone Ellie. Her form destabilizes again, and when they stabilize her, she's physically only five or six years old.

Danny takes to watching her, but looking after a half ghost child is a lot harder than it looks, especially when Ellie learns duplication but can't seem to figure out how to undo it for hours on end, and each clone gets bored really fast. To counter this, Danny makes Ellie a set of dolls, all modeled after the Justice League and various related figures. He even uses a special enchantment he learned to make sure the dolls stay intact no matter what Ellie puts them through.

Ellie loves the dolls and she and her clones have a tendency to put together large productions using them, ranging from superhero fights to sitcom stories to fairy tales to a few 'things' Ellie remembered reading online before she was de aged.

Meanwhile, almost every single Justice League member has been noticing some oddities as of late. They can hear voices from no where, they feel like something is touching them when there is nothing, their muscles sometimes spasm without cause. And, on occasion, they find themselves sleepwalking as they dream of a giant telling a story.

No one brings this to the attention of the other members until several members get knocked out on a mission, only for their unconscious forms to start acting out a play.

(Or Danny accidentally makes several Justice League Voodoo dolls and a young Ellie keeps playing with them)
