Zeref: So basically, Natsu never grew up... *very nonchalant as he sits at the bar in the guildhall*
Erza: (✿◠‿◠)*** *as tables and people are flying all around them* I'm so sorry this had to be your first Fairy Tail experience... *CRASH!* (✿◠‿◠)********* So very, very sorry... *barely restraining herself from Brawl Defusal at this point*
Zeref: *chuckles* My first experience...? You do realize I taught your guild's founders?
Erza: Y-Yes, well...!
Zeref: Not to mention, you were the ones to raze my empire. Alvarez has never been in such shambles. It's all in Invel and Ajeel's hands over there. Dimaria's retired... Brandish moved to Ishgar, apparently?
Erza: ......... *CRASH!* *SHATTER!* *SCREAMS OF "Uncle!"* (✿◠‿◠)*** You do realize you were literally asking for that ass-whooping...?
Zeref: *watches a barstool narrowly miss his nose as it flies past* Oh, I won't dispute that point. However, I'm pointing out the flaw of your apology.
Erza: Yes, well... *sees telltale lightning charging up in the atmosphere... too much to be from one mage alone* (✿◠‿◠)*** We weren't expecting you and our First Master to be sticking around, reincarnated. So technically, this IS your first experience... You're not an enemy anymore.
Zeref: Mmm... I suppose not. *watches Erza nearly bolts out of her seat once Natsu is blasted through a new hole in the ceiling* ≖‿≖ But truly... You need not apologize. You act as if this is my first rodeo with Natsu.
Erza: You knew him as a babe!!! ... And a little kid. (╬≖_≖)
Zeref: *gestures at the steady stream of lightning-flames spewing through the hole in the ceiling and nailing Laxus down below* And my original point that I labored toward...?
Erza: ......... (╬≖_≖)(╬≖_≖)(╬≖_≖) He's not... ALWAYS this bad.
Zeref: n__n *Gajeel and Natsu bash into each other midair, Dragon Force activated* He could be sweet, it's true. Well, I'm speaking of the boy who died... I assume that kind nature passed onto the Etherious Natsu, but I can't say I've had the distinct pleasure of confirming that...
Erza: ... You're exaggerating.
Zeref: He absolutely refused to listen to a word I said. It took Igneel to get him to learn reading and writing.
Erza: (╬≖_≖) I beg your pardon, but *I* taught him reading.
Zeref: And as Irene's offspring, that makes sense. :3
Erza: (╬ಠ益ಠ)I am not-
Zeref: ≖‿≖ I have several ways to confirm your lineage, Erza. It's useless burying your head in the sand.
Erza: (╬≖_≖) ... Regardless, I fail too see how my lineage has anything to do with me teaching Natsu valuable life skills.
Zeref: (❋•‿•❋) Simple. Natsu won't bring himself to heel without overwhelming force to make him respect you. Igneel knew your pains long before you ever did, but you're to be commended for guiding him down the right path.
Erza: And you couldn't "overwhelm" him on your own...? You HAD to dump him on a dragon? (╬≖_≖)
Zeref: Unfortunately, with the Curse afflicting me, the options were "love him to death" or take a compassionate Fire Dragon King up on his offer to teach Natsu. (❋•‿•❋) It fulfilled several objectives anyway.
Erza: *whole guild is shaking from everyone going all-out on each other by now* *huffs* (╬≖_≖) I just... There must be SOME way to calm him down. Surely we can't let him remain this way forever? *mostly irate about property damage and broken bones from these brawls*
Zeref: ... Well, I COULD suggest a possible stratagem. *nonchalantly sips tea*
Erza: (☉_ ☉) ......... *bolts up to her feet and Requips Purgatory Armor, brandishing a sword towards Zeref* You KNOW a way to tame his reckless tendencies?! (╯°□°)╯
Zeref: ... From a certain point of view. (❋•‿•❋) Lord knows I must do the same with Mavis whenever she gets... mischievous. Yearning for new adventures. (❋•‿•❋)
Erza: Zeref, I will not ask you again. (╬≖‿≖) What is this "stratagem"? I must know this. This could change EVERYTHING!
Zeref: Well, I certainly hope it would... Because you'll need to get...intimate with him. VERY intimate. ≖‿≖
Erza: ... Now when you say "intimate"... You mean head pets and hugs? (☉_ ☉)
Zeref: He's not a little boy anymore, Erza. ≖‿≖ You'll need to consult your "books" for those kinds of tips, I'm afraid.
Erza: Why would you even SUGGEST such debauchery?!?!?! (⊙▂⊙✖ ) Are you suggesting you and our First Master have been...?!
Zeref: Oh, we crossed that bridge over a hundred years ago, Erza. I'm told that's how August was born. ... And how his very belated siblings are on the way, as we speak.
Erza: *scandalized* (⊙▂⊙✖ ) Sh-SHAMELESS!!!!! Y-You have to be joking!!!
Zeref: *shrugs* Believe what you will. ... Just know that I'm a little sore at the moment, so I can't reel Mavis in. Apologies.
Erza: What are you...?! *whips her head around, seeing Mavis whip up a war strategy board* Who the hell is First Master going to war with?!
Zeref: No one. She's just making the brawl more strategically organized. (❋•‿•❋) ... If chaos can even be "organized". (❋•‿•❋)
Erza: *drops sword and hurries over to Mavis, waving arms frantically* F-First Master, please, no...! (⊙▂⊙✖ ) The guild is already in the red...!
Mavis: (๑╹ω╹๑ ) *tuning Erza out effortlessly* Zeref's going to need to punish me BAD for all the strategies I've got in mind for you guys...
Erza: ...
Zeref: Still sore, Erza. So. Good luck~ (❋•‿•❋)

MAGNOLIA, FIORE. YEAR X783. 6 MONTHS UNTIL THE ANNUAL S-CLASS MAGE PROMOTION TRAIL BEGINS. FIRST MISSION: Loke & Cana Alberona JOB TYPE: PARTNERS JOB LEVEL: Intermediate Description: Escort and protect the daughter of a high-ranking noble during a celebrity dance. Investigate rumors of suspected involvement of a Dark Guild. REWARD: 600,000 Jewels
█ ▌ ╰ *。 ☼  *゚ ╮ ┆❛ THE SUN: @shinebrightlikealion
Tumblr media
TENSIONS WITHIN THE GUILD WERE APPROACHING NEAR-CRITICAL LEVELS THAT WERE A HAIR-TRIGGER AWAY FROM SENDING EVERYONE TO A VOLATILE PEAK. This was expected considering that the S-Class Mage Promotion Trial was only mere months away. The annual tradition continued in a cycle that turned ceaselessly into a continuum for as long as Cana was aware of Fairy Tail's history. Which wasn't a whole lot, she had to admit, but hey, she made an attempt to learn. That had to count for something, right?
Today however was the worst time to approach the job request board. With only less than six months remaining in the year, Cana's search for jobs was becoming a frantic routine that bore little fruit. The card mage felt she was already several steps behind in the race to become a candidate for the trials. Rumors that circled within the halls whispered of anyone taking on a large number of jobs was considered an active participant, leading to the belief that anyone taking on a job would have a chance to become a candidate. It was only a rumor, but it was one that Cana couldn't afford to ignore. This was her chance to become a candidate-- and if she succeeded, she would become a few steps closer to earning the title of S-Class.
Wait for me father...I'll be beside you soon.
Determined steps crossed the threshold of the bustling halls and lead her to the request board. There was an unusual absence surrounding it, aside from Nab, who she greeted with a polite nod before briefly scanning the jobs posted. She didn't bother hiding her disappointment when all the solo high-value jobs were taken, instead a clipped sigh and a scowl summoned by frustration brought her mood to an all-time low. The only jobs that were available for consideration required a partner-- and while that was fine in theory, there was no one that she could rely on that she trusted implicitly to watch her back-- well, aside from Gray, but that idiot had gone off to do god knew what-- and then there was that guy, but he never seemed to be around, except when it was for training...
“ I guess we can count that as your reward for knocking me down. ”
Best not to think about that Alberona. You've got a job to do-- don't get distracted.
Tumblr media
Right.
Easier said than done.
BUT AS THE OLD SAYING FAMOUSLY GOES: SPEAK OF THE DEVIL, AND HE SHALL APPEAR.
❝Hey--❞ That unmistakable voice called to her, in the same dulcet tone that made her pulse beat and skin flush in phantom remembrance to a play that was only ( anything but ) casual. ❝--heard you were looking for a partner of some sort, for a mission?❞
Well, shit.
Word traveled fast she supposed, but it wasn't like she exactly kept it a secret either. Though if she had to pick who would be her partner, she supposed there were worse choices available. It helped that Loke was capable at least-- he was no slouch when it came to a fight, whether magical or physical either. So with a quick breath, the Seer cocked her hip to the side and cast him a scrutinizing sort of look before nodding.
Tumblr media
❝Yeah,❞ she replied. ❝I talked to Mira about takin' on a job, but all the solo missions are taken. She said the only ones left need a partner. Y'up for it?❞

a collection of my r.aven tail headcanons that i finally need to put Out Into The World
i. formed in X774, less than five years after ivan and rabastan were excommunicated from fairy tail. ivan was not with rab in that time.
ii. yes, it's there to be against fairy tail. however, it is also accidentally home to a lot of misplaced and normally ostracized people. a guild of people who were ostracized as peers, has magical abilities and wants a place to earn money and sleep. thats how you get people like nullpudding, who looks part blowfish but isnt a terrible person and then... kurohebi...
iii. its not an obligation to hate fairy tail to join raven tail. its just that upper management has quite the bone to pick with the GM of fairy tail. but in canon, we have seen some shady things from makarov so its not a stretch to say people affected by fairy tail and their decisions in a bad way tend to gather at raven tail.
iv. when they were a ~dark guild~, it was mostly that they weren't technically legal. they still operated like a normal guild does. they weren't out attacking people for money or anything. in fact, the towns around them often went to them because they knew they could trust the mages in raven tail to help them out. it wasn't always legal but none of it was actively harmful to entire communities. it's a big part of the reason why they weren't on such a high priority list for the council and how they were able to become legal when ivan finally did the paperwork. when he does that is dependent if its an au or not but in more closely related canon aus, it happens in X790.
v. speaking of the towns around them: there are three, as seen on the map below and where they are re: raven tail's location.
Tumblr media
vi. raven tail's location, up until they become legal is quite hard to track. ivan did this for obvious reasons. the reason being is that there are several illusioned raven tails around fiore for some time, set up by ivan. the one gajeel was at was once such illusion. it is harder to keep them up, but ivan switches where he puts them and tends to just hang out for a day in those areas. when gajeel found him, it was in such a place. before, in order to even see the Real raven tail, you needed the stamp. now, you still need the stamp to enter ivan's office and the private room area of the guild; but you can always see it. due to some guild regulations ew.
vi. during the war, raven tail took it upon themselves to help the evacuation of the three nearby settlements. they were able to move most of the citizens to their mountain base, safe away from a lot of the fighting. however, people were still lost due to the magnitude of alvarez's invasion. in a way, they benefited from the invasion being across the country. until, of course, universe one.
vii. there are flocks of ravens and crows around raven tail. they're sort of guild pets in a way that everyone, but mostly ivan takes care. the oldest two follow ivan just about anywhere if hes lets them and seem to have an uncanny healing abilities. ivan has yet to publicly comment on that.
viii. when it comes to sorcerer weekly, ivan tends to let his mages do what they want as long as they're not making fools of themselves. that's all he asks for. i'd say he's more or less open to interviews because he thinks thats a great way to get under makarov's skin.

I don't think I've seen anyone talk about this but there's a couple things about Phantom I want to talk about.
First of all, I'm curious how Jose came to despise Fairy tail. Cause although we only know of two guild masters, I doubt Jose is the second guild master seeing as FT has been around for about 100 years with Phantom forming close behind.
Now I'm not sure if this is fan speculation or canon but I have seen the wiki say that Geoffrey is an ancestor to Jose which would make a bit more sense on Jose hating FT if he's been raised to believe that his whole life. Geoffrey might be Jose's grandfather, maybe great grandfather similar to how Yuri is the grandfather of Ivan and the great grandfather of Laxus.
I can perhaps see Geoffrey choosing to continue his beef specifically with the Dreyar family as 1. Yuri is the only founder to have a kid that is known to the public as only Hades knew of August being Mavis and Zeref's. And 2. All the original founders are no longer around. Yuri is dead, Mavis is frozen, Warrod left and became a wizard saint and Hades formed a dark guild. Which would also lean in to Jose potentially going after Laxus alongside Gajeel and Juvia.
Cause Jose has already tried to fight Makarov and if anything I can see him teaming up with Ivan because they both hate FT. But you know what would hurt Makarov? Seeing one of his kids hurt. Jose knows this from the phantom arc and what better option than Laxus right? In Jose's head, Laxus would be the perfect target because he's both related to one of the original founders and Makarov himself. Gajeel and Juvia being targeted would be a no brainer. They'd be seen as traitors for moving on and joining FT. I wouldn't be surprised if other former phantoms were targetted as well seeing as all former members we've seen have redeemed themselves. (Juvia and Gajeel joining FT, Totomaru becoming a teacher, Boze and Sue seen supporting FT in Fantasia and a couple other filler episodes)
Second, Jose is definitely abusive to his guild. He lets them beat on each other with no regard for anyone being hurt, he actively praises Gajeel every time he mentions harming other people, He insults Sol, Juvia and Totomaru for losing to FT mages. Abuse is something that is learned so if Jose was involved with Phantom his whole life like the Dreyars with FT, it wouldn't shock me if we found out that was how he was treated or how he watched others be treated around him and started copying that behaviour.
Which leads into a question/theory I have. Do you think Jose planned for Gajeel to be the next Guild master?
Cause think about it right? Gajeel is considered the ace of the guild. He's the only S-class not to be apart of the element four. He's also the most destructive and aggressive.
Now I'm not saying the EF aren't bad, they all did things that they shouldn't. But Gajeel has the biggest offense list for just the phantom arc.
Juvia and Totomaru are the least offenders. Both had very short fights that weren't really that serious to begin with, Totomaru just being a wee shit and Juvia being distracted by her crush on Gray. Yes Juvia did kidnap Lucy but also probably would have completely missed her if Sol hadn't been there.
Sol and Aria are next as both came close to killing at least one person, Sol being Elfman and Aria being Makarov.
Gajeel did a lot more. He instigated the battle by destroying the guild hall and attack Shadow gear. He attacked Reedus and Loke. Kidnapped Lucy the second time, a lot more aggressively than Juvia did. He beat on her several times including in front of Jose and he was absolutely going for the kill in his fight against Natsu. Why else use a chainsaw that he had not used up to that point.
Jose is also shown interacting with Gajeel the most and praising him for things he's done. I wouldn't be surprised if its supposed to be like some kind of father son thing since Jose doesn't have kids and found Gajeel as a young child so he's just raising him how he himself was raised. Whatever kind of relation it is, its not a healthy one considering Jose actively encourages Gajeel's aggressive behaviours with the closest thing to scolding being that the person he attacked better not have been the target. Plus how Jose speaks reeks of manipulation.
But considering how he acts with Gajeel and how Gajeel himself acts, it doesn't seem farfetched for Gajeel to be picked as the next guild master. While FT picks based on multiple qualities, Phantom is focused on power. And Gajeel has a lot of it and his power is very unique too. (While we are seeing dragon slayers becoming a lot more common now compared to the beginning of the series which is a bit of a shame since I do miss that feeling when someone being a dragon slayer was unexpected and rare like when we first got introduced to Gajeel, Laxus, Wendy and Cobra. It was still a new thing and it was introducing two different forms of getting dragon slayer magic. Now there's (Including dragonised and dead slayers) 21 named dragon slayers which is more than what we've seen of a lot of other magics that are supposed to be common)
I do wish we could get more info on Gajeel's phantom days. Like how he came to be in phantom. It would not only be Gajeel backstory but give more insight to Jose and how he raised the kids in his guild (Gajeel, Juvia and Totomaru) compared to how Makarov raised his.
Like cool, Jose is a character made to be disliked, I get it. But why not give us more than that? Give us a reason for why he acts like he does. Why he doesn't like FT. Why he so desperately wanted to fight Makarov.
I dunno, Maybe I'm just a sucker for slightly fleshed out villians (Even though Acnologia is like my fav villian and he has no personality in the manga outside of destroy all dragons (His BS is anime only even if I like it)

AU VERSE INFO. THE BLACK SCALED LAMIA.
Tumblr media
GONE. NO MATTER HOW HARD HE TRIED. THEY'RE GONE AGAIN. It was almost a joke to him at this point, that no matter how much he loves and tries to protect them, he's bound to loose his family. Bound to be alone and without the ones he loves by his side. It happened again, and to the hands of demons once again.
FAIRY TAIL HAS DISBANDED.
LOST. IT WAS THE ONLY WORD HE COULD FIND AT THIS TIME. What was one to do when everything you have ever known was gone. He knew his old habits, and as much as he'd love to say he has grown past them, there was something so deep within him that knew that no matter how much he grew, how much he thought he had moved on, he will forever be that scared little boy who lost his entire world in a single night.
HE RAN. RAN FROM THOSE WHO STAYED. RAN FROM HIS PRESENT. RAN TO HIS PAST. It all happened so fast that he wasn't even aware he ended up in Margaret Town, in front of the only family he had left. In front of the one link that remained from his past, ever present and steadfast.
HE WAS THANKFUL FOR LYON. THE COMFORT AND FAMILIARITY HE BROUGHT. They would never lie and say they were the closest, but their bond was always there, and Lyon's willingness to home Gray and stay with him while he processed the loss of another family was something the younger Ice Mage could never thank the other for.
IT HAD BEEN ALMOST TWO MONTHS WHEN THE QUESTION WAS ASKED.
"Why don't you join Lamia Scale?"
──────────────────
1 YEAR TIME SKIP AU: Instead of Gray heading back to Isvan post Tartarous, Gray is around long enough to hear the news of Fairy Tail's disbandment first hand. The news absolutely shatters Gray, thinking he's loosing his family all over again, and in a moment of panic and fear ends up fleeing Magnolia and the rest of his guild mates, not wanting to see them leave. He eventually ends up with Lyon in Margaret Town, where the older Ice Mage houses Gray and helps him through processing Fairy Tai'ls disbandment.
After a few months of Gray living with Lyon and accompanying him on the odd jobs, Lyon puts out the suggestion of Gray joining Lamia Scale. Gray is extremely hesitant about this at first, thinking that he'd be moving on from Fairy Tail far too soon, but Lyon continues to be a voice of reason for Gray, reminding him that he does still need to make a living and have a life, as well as Wendy's joining of the guild.
Eventually, Gray does take up Lyon's offer. He's very stand offish from the rest of the guild, choosing only to really interact with those he knows ( Primarily, Lyon and Wendy ) due to his resurfacing trauma thanks to Fairy Tails disbandment. When Natsu and Lucy start going around to reform Fairy Tail, Gray is extremely stand-offish towards them, and almost seems like he's against the idea of the guild reforming. It once again takes Lyon talking some sense into Gray for him to finally reopen himself up to the two and go with them to collect the rest of the guild.
NOTE: Because of Gray joining a Legal Guild and actively partaking in jobs, the events of the Avatar and Gray joining Avatar Do Not Happen in this au.

FT x TW: NRC reaction to FT. Especially the boys
Tumblr media
Answering both of these in one go since it's easy to go back and forth with it.
Fairy Tail would take to the NRC boys pretty quickly, I'd say. A bunch of dudes with cool magic? Completely normal! Hey, would you like to have a knock-down drag-out spar?? So what if they're the type to run grumpy. Being told no has literally never stopped a FT mage before.
Really, I think the main thing that would baffle the FT group is the fact that it's a school. Formal learning? For magic? Nonsense. Sure, you might have a mentor, but you learn that stuff on the go, actively beating stuff up; fudging around and finding out, if you will. (On that note, the entire world of Twisted Wonderland would baffle the FT cast. First technology is a thing, and that's wild, but also? A structured society? Licenses? A lack of guilds? The Internet??? Completely baffling.)
Obviously some of them would be more intrigued than others. Lucy, for instance, would probably find the clear instructions and structure very fascinating, and try her hands at different magic. Levy would be thrilled that there's regular educational learning. Droy will be glued to the greenhouse. etc, etc
Meanwhile half of NRC would be immediately on edge because what are these friendship-spouting gremlins?? That's a little too much sunshine there. But a few knock-down drag-out spars later, everyone is having a chill time more or less. Both casts have a particular predisposition towards prioritizing their own over morality, and being chaotic gremlins. (With variations and exceptions, of course.)
For instance, while Natsu is open about his friendship, he would be the one challenging everyone and either beating their asses or taking it graciously when he loses, and there's a lot of respect to be had there after that. He's not a sunshine-and-rainbows kind of guy despite being protag shaped. And then on the same coin, Gray is calculating enough to prove that he and the guild are not a pushover. Similar deal with Gajeel, for that matter.
I could go on about specific people, but there's another ask that is better suited for that, I think, and that would also take forever. The main takeaway is that this would be an utter nightmare for all adults/faculty involved.

This is my translation of Mashima's sensei YT video, were he created Jerza's son. Take into account that even if I have made my best, it can have mistakes. 🙇🏻‍♀️
You can watch it here:
youtube
Btw, he is using a blue + scarlet outfit 😭 And a Grand Chariot in his chlotes, bc he is also loved by the seven stars 💙💜❤
Tumblr media
Translation:
Hi, this is Mashima.
This time, I'd like to talk about the characters Erza and Jellal, who appear in Fairy Tail.
If these two had a child, what would it look like?
I'd like to show you what they would look like if they had a child.
First of all, for those of you who haven't seen it before.
I'd like to give a brief introduction of the work and the characters.
Fairy Tail: This story is about the activities of various mages who gathered at the mages guild, Fairy Tail.
Erza Scarlet
The most powerful female mage belonging to the mage guild Fairy Tail.
She's a very strong mage, even stronger than the main character.
She is usually cool, but she likes cute things and has a little bit of a girlish side to her.
Her fighting style is to switch her armor at a moment's notice.
Jellal Fernandes
For those of you who haven't read it yet, this could be a spoiler.
This character has been through a lot.
Right now, he's in a relationship with this woman, Erza. They're attracted to each other. This two are a couple.
It's a very popular coupling and it's a very popular coupling abroad.
I've received comments asking me to draw their children.
I get a lot of requests on my Twitter feed.
I'm not the type to respond to requests -because- I get tons of requests every day, and I always want to write/draw about what I like.
I don't usually respond to requests, but... the idea of Erza and Jellal's child... I thought it might make a good subject for a video.
So I came up with this idea.
One thing to note is that just because the author drew it, it is not part of the official/canon setting.
This is for fun.
It is a self-parody.
I would appreciate it if you could remember that and enjoy it.
Now, let's get on with it.
First of all, I'm not sure whether to draw a boy or a girl.
My image is a boy.
For now.
Let's set the age at about 10 years old.
Let's do it as we draw!
First of all, let's choose the boy's hair color.
Erza has red hair and this Jellal has blue hair, so the child... I don't know... purple, maybe?
Purple, a bit simple, isn't it?
I'm not sure if it's that simple.
They (children) often take it from the colour of the hair on one of the parents.
If one parent has blonde hair and the other pink, the child's hair will be one or the other. (Nalu reference)
This time I'm thinking of mixing it up a bit.
Yes, I've done a rough draft.
I've changed the characterisation a bit.
I said earlier that she (Erza) was a cool character.
But as I was drawing...
I thought maybe an "honour student" character would be better. I made him a bit more like an honour student.
The reason for this is simply because... Fairy Tail is a work of art. I'm just imagining it, but there are a few characters that are children of other characters and I wanted to find a balance between them (balance of personalities).
It's a story that's incomprehensible to people who don't know it, but in my mind... I've taken the liberty of balancing things out a bit.
(TN: Mashima sensei had a mental image of how the next gen personalities will combine in a posible story, so that's why he made him like this, looking like an honour student)
I made it look like an honour student character.
Yes! Shall I go and put the pen in?
Yes! Yes! Generally, the body looks like this! (T/N: Not sure about this sentence)
Let's go on with the colouring.
And here it is!
This is what it looks now. I'll give him a name...
This is Justin.
This is Erza and Jellal's child.
I'm sorry to keep telling you this, but this is a self-parody/ just for fun..
Yes, if you understand that, please enjoy it!!
It's done!
And this is.
Jellal and Erza's son.
I thought it would be interesting to use it in derivative works as well.
I drew it for fun, like a child's setting, and this is how he turned out to be...
I've done it before with other characters.
If it does, it may appear in a second novel (TN: book/manga/ maybe nextgen spin off)  in the future.
That's all for this episode.
Thank you for watching until the end.
Please subscribe to our channel.
See you later!

RP CANON: SABERTOOTH UNDER JIEMMA
Sabertooth was built on the strength of its individuals, it had nothing to do with bonds between members or friendship. If you relied on others, you were weak, and if you were weak you were unfit to be a Saber. There were no friendships within the guild (generally speaking), it was cold and empty of feelings unless they were of determination to win or of arrogance/confidence in their power.
The guildhall was nothing but a place to stop by at and take a new request, no one ever lingered within it, especially not to socialise with other Sabertooth members. Laziness and inactivity were not tolerated, and if you stayed within the guildhall, it looked as if you were not working (and therefore, lazy). Because there were no friendships within the guild, there was no reason to linger anyway. It was not a social place, unlike the Fairy Tail guild where many members spend most of the day talking and drinking with each other.
Sabertooth members didn’t socialise with each other and therefore didn’t know all that much about each other (despite some of them knowing each other for years). Names, possibly magics, of each other might be known, along with rumors, but that was all. Saber’s kept to themselves even within the guild.
They weren’t allowed to fail or to look weak, they were taught to be strong and to complete their missions no matter the cost. It was a quiet, powerful, but lonely guild.
And compared to many guilds, Sabertooth was relatively new. In this panel, it is said that Saber wasn’t anything special in X784. To me, it was unknown by most, not strong or famous, struggling to find its way in a time where larger guilds like Fairy Tail, Lamia Scale and Blue Pegasus ruled.
And then Jiemma took over. He hailed from a neighbouring country and was a military man, known for his own might and skill in training others. He was a leader and only ever led the best, it was his job to take soldiers, security forces and others of that type and train them to become better. This was what he spent his years traveling around and doing, gaining a reputation of strength and superiority. Those trained by Jiemma Orland were the best of the best.
For three years, he used his military background and knowledge on the Sabertooth mages, kicking out the weaker members as he trained the remaining mages and enforced his rules and standards (see here, the way they stand in formation in a military stance). He ran Sabertooth more like a military unit than anything else, referring to (the) mages as soldiers, (he calls Natsu a ‘common guild solider’ here, and Rogue says here that Sabertooth members are ‘Master’s minions’, you get the idea).
He created a high standard for entry and because of this, the guild started to be seen as prestigious, with mages wanting to be good enough to get into it. With the standards for entry known to be extremely high, being a member seemed to be a special, exclusive position.
(During this time, I imagine Minerva is travelling the countries, getting experience etc, so there is a delay in when Jiemma takes over the guild and when she actually joins, as it seems to me that she and the others like Sting and Rogue all joined around the same time).
Jiemma still wasn’t happy with Sabertooth’s strength however and started to actively recruit mages he heard were strong (of course they still had to pass all his tests). By this point there were rumours about two dragon slayers that had formed a team. Jiemma sent Sting and Rogue an invitation to try join Sabertooth, they accepted and were able to get into it. Around this time, Rufus and Orga were also recruited and Minerva returned to her father and joined Sabertooth (ofc she had to pass all the tests too and they were made harder for her).
Sabertooth then started to consecutively win the Grand Magic Games, earning them the title of Fiore’s Strongest Guild four years in a row. The most time the guildmembers ever spent around each other was during each year at the Games. The five strongest mages didn’t always participate in the Games together but generally all watched.

This was requested on AO3 by NissArsil.
This is a Soulmate AU oneshot where the first words your soulmate says to you are written on your body. I think Soulmate AUs are nice, but I don't actively read them because they tend to border on aromanticism erasure. That's not to say that they can't be good, though.
Also, I'm honestly surprised at how many LaLu requests I've gotten. LaLu is more popular than I expected.
I hope you enjoy!
Slow Down, Lightning Bolt! (Laxus x Lucy)
Laxus sat at a table on the second floor of the Fairy Tail guildhall. The Thunder Legion was sitting with him like they always did when the four of them had no jobs to go on or anything else to do. Evergreen was fixing her makeup, Freed was reading a new book, and Bixlow was using Peppe to spy on people outside of the guild, so he appeared to be staring off into space.
Laxus stared down at the mages below. He could tell that a brawl was brewing. The dragon slayer looked down at his exposed inner right arm. The sleeve of his black dress shirt was rolled up to the elbow. He stared down at the words that were etched into his skin.
'Slow down, Lightning Bolt!'
Those are the first words that his soulmate will speak to him.
He wasn't sure why he was so interested in the whole soulmates thing, but ever since he's learned what these words on his arm meant, he's been listening for those four words. twenty-five years into being alive, and he's yet to hear them.
He seemed to be the only person he knew that wasn't very concerned about finding their soulmate.
Evergreen had already found her's in Elfman. Apparently, her soulmate's words are written across her stomach, saying 'look out for that chair!'
Bixlow had yet to find his soulmate. Their first words to him were on his lower left arm. 'Your little totems are so cute!' is what the writing reads. He didn't actively search for them, preferring to let his soulmate find him.
According to Freed, he doesn't have any writing on his body. When he informed his friends of that fact, he didn't seem to care at all, saying that he wasn't interested in having a soulmate. He just didn't care.
Laxus just wanted to find his soulmate before he got old. He sighed and rolled his black sleeve back down. He stood up and walked over to the S-Class request board. He scanned the four job requests that hung there. Not seeing a job request that sparked his interest, he turned around and walked past his three friends. Walking down the stairs, he approached the bar and sat down. Mira, knowing exactly what beverage he wanted, walked away to get him a mug of beer.
The blonde man rested his head in his hand, elbow propped up on the surface of the bar. He was bored. Unbearably so. He didn't have anything to do and honestly didn't even feel like taking a job. He wished that he had found his soulmate already so he could spend time with them. At least that'd cure his boredom.
Mira then came walking over, getting Laxus' attention. She asked him, "could you go to the liquor store and buy some more alcohol, Laxus?"
The Lightning Dragon Slayer sat up and dropped his propped-up arm back down onto the bar. He gave the woman in front of him a bored look as he answered, "doesn't that place close in an hour?"
Mira nodded. "I guess you better hurry. Do you know what to get?"
Laxus sighed as he stood. He accepted the jewel that Mira handed him for the alcohol and put it into his pants pocket as he nodded his head to her question. He walked out of the guild, into the darkening outside. I could use my magic, but I guess I could run instead. The exercise wouldn't hurt, he thought as he bolted in the direction of the liquor store.
As he ran past a series of apartment complexes, he heard a feminine voice call out the words that he had been waiting years to hear:
"Slow down, Lightning Bolt!"
Laxus skidded to a stop and whipped around to see a young blonde woman flattening herself against a closed apartment door. It appeared as though he had nearly run into her without realizing and she had flattened against that door to avoid being run over.
With wide eyes, Laxus took in her appearance in the dimming light of the setting sun. She had blonde hair that seemed to be made out of the sun's rays, her chocolate brown eyes appeared to be almost black, and she was dressed in a light blue, strapless dress that amplified her large bust. She seemed familiar, but Laxus couldn't put a name to her beautiful face.
The woman walked toward him with an amused smile. She waved a hand in front of the man's face, snapping him out of his reverie. Laxus blinked a few times before looking down at her. "What did you say to me, Blondie?"
The woman drew back her hand to hold it against her ample chest. She had gasped and stared at him in surprise, just as he had at her.
That is when Laxus saw it.
The pink Fairy Tail guild mark on the back of her right hand. Realization hit him and he knew who he was face-to-face with.
Lucy Heartfilia.
Lucy then spoke, "um...Laxus?"
Laxus shook himself back to reality. He responded, "yeah?"
Lucy then took a few steps back. She leaned down to pull up the hem of her dress just enough to show him her upper right thigh, but not her panties. She angled her leg so that Laxus could easily read the writing on her thigh, 'What did you say to me, Blondie?'
Laxus' eyes widened. That's what I just said to her. He then rolled up his sleeve as Lucy released the hem of her dress and straightened her posture. Laxus leaned forward so the other blonde could read the writing on the inside of his right arm, 'Slow down, Lightning Bolt!'
Lucy's eyes widened and she looked up at Laxus. Their eyes met and in that instant, they both felt a click. Now that they were here, they knew that they were meant to be together.
Laxus then suddenly remembered that he had been sent out by Mira to get more alcohol. He hurriedly said to Lucy, "be at the guild by ten in the morning tomorrow," then he used his Lightning Dragon Slayer magic to teleport to the liquor store.
As he picked out the bottles of alcohol that he knew Mira wanted and paid for them, all Laxus could think about was Lucy. All of a sudden his thoughts were taken over by her. He didn't expect it, but he also didn't hate it.

Cuddle Buddies
For Gruvia Week 2021: Day 2 - Warmth
Day 1 | Day 3 | Day 4
Pairing: Gruvia (Gray Fullbuster & Juvia Lockser)
Fandom: Fairy Tail
Genre: Romance
Word Count: 2,355 words
Summary: Gray doesn’t cuddle. But special circumstances *cough-Juvia-cough* might change his mind.
You may also read it on FanFiction.net and AO3! Check out my master list for other Gruvia fics.
Gray Fullbuster does not cuddle.
He'd like to say it was because he was an ice mage – he had a low tolerance for heat, regardless of whether it was coming from the blazing sun or another's warm embrace. It was just how he was made.
But the truth was, even if he weren't an ice mage, he still couldn't see the appeal of having someone's sticky, sweaty body squashed against him. How it can even be remotely considered comforting was beyond him.
He could pat you on the back, ruffle the hair on your head, and even sit beside you – but definitely no hugs.
Except if he absolutely had to.
Like, if it was a matter of life and, well, severe hypothermia.
And so, it was because of this that Gray found himself in one of the beds in the infirmary, cuddling with Juvia Lockser.
Whether he wanted to or not was already out of the question. After all, it was his fault that it had come to this, and he had no choice but to provide her with his body heat until her temperature rose back to normal.
"Feeling better?" Gray asked, absently stroking the soft locks of Juvia's hair as he held her close.
"Y-yes, Gray-sama. Thank you," she mumbled, her breath tickling the crook of his neck, sending shivers down his bare back.
Despite this, Gray didn't budge from his position. It wasn't because he was actually enjoying this. In fact, he could feel beads of sticky sweat forming on his forehead, neck, and chest. He was just worried that Juvia still hadn't fully recovered, that was all. After all, Juvia could be so stupidly selfless a lot of times, saying she was okay even when she clearly wasn't. He knew her enough by now to see right through her.
"Are you sure? You're still shivering," he whispered. Instinctively, he pressed her body closer to him, willing his warmth to transfer to her.
He felt Juvia push against him a little so she could look up at him. Her face was still pale, although he could see a little pink blooming on her cheeks. She also managed to give him one of her bright smiles without her teeth chattering.
"Yes. Juvia's really fine now." She moved her hands from his chest to his face, cupping his cheeks. Instantly, he felt warmth course up his face, though he wasn't sure if it was because of Juvia's hands or... something else. "See? Juvia's hands are warm now, thanks to Gray-sama."
He averted his eyes from her, feeling both bashful and guilty. "Don't be stupid. It's also because of me that you almost froze to death."
Juvia laughed softly. "Gray-sama is so dramatic! It was just part of training. Juvia will get used to it, don't worry."
After Gray discovered that he could actually use Juvia's water body as his weapon of ice destruction, the two of them wasted no time training their newfound spells. At first, everything worked the way they wanted it to, until Juvia started experiencing hypothermic bouts right after training. They eventually figured out that frequent use of Gray's ice magic on Juvia's water body made it difficult for her to control her body temperature.
They were already practicing the new spells for three days straight when Juvia had her first hypothermic episode. Gray could still remember how proud he felt after flawlessly executing Juvia Hammer when he noticed that it took some time for Juvia to reform her physical body. And when she finally did, all color drained from his face as a deathly pale Juvia reached out to him before collapsing, his reflexes activating just in time to catch her before her solid body hit the ground. His heart drummed wildly as he saw icicles clinging to her blue hair, her usual red lips now devoid of any color, her body shivering uncontrollably.
For a moment, Gray was transported back to that chilling snowstorm all over again, holding a lifeless Juvia in his arms. His blood ran cold.
He shook off the memory and carried Juvia to the guild's infirmary as fast as he could. The moment he placed Juvia on the bed, Wendy was already by their side, doing everything she could to raise the water mage's dangerously low temperature. Wendy mentioned something about using body heat to defrost Juvia quickly, and Gray wasted no time taking off the freezing woman's coat and enveloping her corseted body in his embrace.
Looking back, he thought he probably wasn't the best choice to provide body heat, but the thought of someone else holding Juvia was... well, he'd rather not think about it.
Someone must have called for Porlyusica because the next thing Gray remembered was the old lady checking up on Juvia, lauding Wendy's efforts, and telling him to continue what he was doing.
"Her water body is slowly heating her up, so she's going to be fine," the healer had said. "You can continue training your new spells so her body gets used to it, but don't be stupid and overdo it," she added, glaring at Gray.
After that incident, Gray was extremely hesitant to continue training the new spells. But Juvia was adamant about pushing through, claiming that it would be good for her to develop a resistance to cold as well.
Gray eventually relented, on one condition: that he would help her raise her temperature quickly with his body heat.
At first, Juvia couldn't believe her ears. Did Gray-sama just offer to hug Juvia of his own free will? But when Gray repeated his request while looking straight into her eyes and without blushing the tiniest bit, Juvia's confusion turned to bubbling happiness. She launched herself at Gray, muttering, "Gray-sama can cuddle with Juvia all he wants. We can start now!" It was only then that it hit Gray how incredibly embarrassing his request was, and he instantly turned a bright shade of red as Juvia continued clinging to him.
And so, cuddling after training became a routine for them, the afternoons spent sharing a bed at the infirmary becoming a common occurrence. All reluctance Gray had at the beginning was instantly erased every time Juvia would transform back to her physical body, trembling from the cold and seeking the warmth of his body. It wasn't as bad as that first time when Juvia looked as pale as a ghost – they were careful not to overtrain – but it still alarmed Gray enough to make him not want to let Juvia stray from his embrace for at least an hour until he could feel her body's warmth mixing with his.
"Still, you know you can always ask me to stop the training anytime, right?" Gray asked, staring at her intently. "I'm serious, Juvia. I don't want you overdoing things, saying you're okay when you're not. Promise me you won't lie to me about these things."
He was ready for her to tease him about how worried he was for her, but Juvia just gave him a sweet smile. She pinched his cheeks, earning a groan from the ice mage. "Juvia promises. Now, stop worrying so much. She's really fine now."
Gray sighed and loosened his hold on Juvia. She extracted herself from his grip, and Gray felt the loss of her body right away.
Juvia sat up from the bed and straightened her clothes. She looked back at Gray.
"Let's try again tomorrow?"
"As long as you're fine."
He would always be there to help her, anyway.
*~*~*~*~*~*
"Juvia Geyser!"
Activating her Sierra form, Juvia absorbed Gray's magic, causing her water body to shoot up like a geyser. Sharp spikes hit the tree branch they were targeting, breaking it in a clean sweep. Juvia then melted into a puddle and reformed her normal body.
"Nice, Juvia!" Gray grinned, running towards her. He was about to hug her like he usually did when she stopped him with a firm hand on his bare chest.
"Juvia's okay now, Gray-sama. It took her a while, but she can normalize her body temperature quickly now." She smiled from ear to ear.
Gray frowned, studying her for any sign of hypothermia. "Are you sure?" He touched her forehead underneath her bangs. "If you're cold, then –"
"Juvia appreciates Gray-sama's kindness, but really, she's fine," she reassured him.
"But Porlyusica said we should –"
" – keep training so Juvia can get used to it," she finished for him. "And now, Juvia has gotten used to it, so Gray-sama has nothing to worry about!"
After a pause, he answered, "Alright. Whatever." He started walking back to the guild when Juvia called out to him.
"Gray-sama?"
"What?" It came out harsher than he intended, and he caught the concern in Juvia's expression.
"Is Gray-sama mad at Juvia?"
No, he wanted to reply, because really, his mind was relieved that Juvia was fine. They could finally train using their full powers and without that cloud of worry hovering over him. He could stop going easy on her and go back to the way it was. They no longer had to waste hours of precious time just staying in bed, holding each other.
It was all good.
But why does he feel... angry? Why couldn't he stop himself from balling his fists and gritting his teeth from frustration?
Why did it feel so wrong?
Juvia's warm hand on his tensed shoulders shook Gray out of his reverie.
"Gray-sama shouldn't be mad at himself for freezing Juvia. It wasn't your fault," Juvia said softly. "You didn't have to go out of your way to help Juvia –"
"That's the problem!" Gray snapped, realization hitting him like a ton of bricks. "You always think you're a bother when you're not. You always think about others first without thinking about yourself and your needs! Tell me, have I ever complained about helping you, Juvia?"
She stared at him, confusion written all over her face. Finally, she spoke. "You didn't, Gray-sama. But Juvia didn't want to impose herself because she knew that Gray-sama's not the cuddling type –"
"The hell I'm not, but I want to!" he exclaimed before he could even think of his words. "It's not that I feel responsible for what happened to you, but either way, I want to take care of you. I want you to rely on me when you need to – no, not just when you need to, but whenever you want to. All the time if that's what you want. Do you get me?"
Juvia opened her mouth to speak, only to close it again. Gray's words finally caught up with him, and he felt blood rush to his cheeks. He fought the urge to freeze Juvia and run away to where his feelings won't catch up with him.
After a few moments of wishing that the earth would swallow him whole, Juvia broke the awkward silence. "Is this Gray-sama's way of telling Juvia that he's okay with being cuddle buddies?"
"Cuddle... buddies? That's not... that's... what?" Things just kept getting more and more embarrassing.
Juvia stepped closer to him so that they were mere inches away from each other. Unlike Gray, she didn't seem the least bit bashful when she explained, "Juvia feels like it's Gray-sama's way of saying he'd like to continue hugging Juvia, frozen or not. Is Juvia right?"
"Ye – no," Gray stuttered.
"No? Gray-sama doesn't want to hug Juvia?"
"No – I mean, yes! Uhm, what I want to say is, I don't mind it... if you want... not that I want to, but you – it's up to you! Whatever you want!" Gray finished, losing his cool every second. Tsk, he thought, why did she have to be so blunt about it?
Juvia just stared at him, obviously trying to decipher his jumble of words. Gray took the opportunity to redeem himself. "But you're okay now, right? You're not bluffing?"
Juvia shook her head.
"Okay, in that case..." Gray let himself trail off as he motioned back to the guild. He couldn't wait to go home, have a nice, cold shower, and just forget all the cheesy things he said today. Tomorrow was another day.
He turned around, picked up his discarded shirt, and wore it. He was about to walk off when he felt Juvia's arms circle him from behind, her warm and curvy body pressed against his back.
"Juvia... wants to hug Gray-sama," she whispered, every word a warm breath against his shoulder blade. "She's no longer freezing, but if Gray-sama meant what he said... she wants to rely on Gray-sama even when she doesn't need to. Just because she wants to."
Sometimes, he couldn't help but marvel at how Juvia could totally get him, even when he couldn't properly put his feelings into words. He smiled as he felt warmth spread all over his body.
Gray loosened Juvia's hands so that he could turn around and hug her properly. One of his arms wrapped around her head and the other one around her waist. He buried his head on her hair.
"I meant what I said," he said softly, inhaling the sweet scent of petrichor in Juvia's hair. He felt Juvia's arms tighten around him.
They stayed like that for a few beats before Juvia looked up with a smirk and said, "If Gray-sama wants a hug from Juvia so badly, he should just have said so."
Gray turned red and was about to deny it when he stopped himself. He wouldn't admit it out loud, but their after-training cuddling sessions had become a routine he wasn't willing to let go of yet.
"Shut up."
Juvia gasped as Gray swiftly carried her, bridal style, and walked to a nearby shade. He set her down with her back against the tree trunk and sat beside her. He put his arms around her and held her close to him.
"Gray-sama?"
"Hm?"
"Cuddling is nice, isn't it?"
For the record, Gray still hated cuddling. But if Juvia was his cuddle buddy...
"I guess... it's not that bad," he whispered as he rested his head on top of hers, hiding his flaming cheeks.
A/N: I honestly had a hard time thinking of a story for this prompt because I just wrote Winter Warmth a couple of months ago, but I’m glad I was able to come up with another (fluffy) idea for literally the same prompt. Just so you know, it might take a while for me to post the next update, but I’ll complete Gruvia Week 2021, I promise. 😊

Ok I want to know your take on the Magic Council. Because to me it’s one of the most inconsistent things in fairy tail. Like “the magic council is extremely powerful and fairy tails fears them” and “the magic council ain’t shit”, the council acts like a magic military but also guilds do all the actual work, the magic council holds significant importance and the magic council doesn’t actually do anything.
The thing that’s especially annoying to me is that the concept of the magic council had a lot of potential if it was explored and expanded on in a narrative way. If they had more structure and impact on the story. Especially if the effects of the council were mentioned throughout the story and not just brought up when narratively nessasary for some plot hole or something. I feel as if some great characters who were magic council members could of been written if the council was explored.
Anyway I want to hear your thought on the magic council. How would you fix it/redo it, anything, please. I’m begging.
What can i say except i wish the magic council was used more?
Like from day one it was established that the council is the main military force in universe and exist to monitor and police wizard and guild activity. They're also the ones who create and enforce laws regarding wizards as well as dealing out punishment.
They're basically cops for wizards only, and seeing as how in universe wizards only make up 10% of the overall population its interesting that theres a specific set of laws to deal with such a small percentage of the population (wizard racism? Its more likely than you think)
In universe they've even been around for a long ass time too. With them being noted as far back as Mavis' time a few years after the events of FT Zero (after the events of the second trade war where they passed the Interguild Dispute Interdiction Treaty which prevented guilds from participating in wars)
In my head the council is an extra branch of the government that exists outside of the jurisdiction of the royal family amd has far reaching influence to a few other countries outside of Fiore as well.
They have a large military consisting mostly of non magical people with few mages, they work to disband dark guilds, they confiscate forbidden magical items (they have the lullaby flute after that whole incident) alongside literal magical weapons of mass destruction ( face and etherion). To the general public they're a good force that doesnt sway under the influence of royal whims. To guilds they're a nuisance always on their backs.
But they do shady things. They plant spies in guilds to gather intel and to hopefully destabilize them into disbanding (I hesitate to think that Mest was the only council spy ever. I'd like to think that the council has spies everywhere in guilds). They use S class wizards as public examples of their power, see Erza being arrested in the way early series and do under the quiet shady research projects ( Brain from Oracion Seis was apart of the Bureau of Magical Development which did the experimentation on Ultear. While not canonically apart of the council i like to think that they are).
(I also like to think that Wizards who are possible candidates to become S class have to be tested by the council before the guilds can carry out their own trials. Because i feel as though the council should be involved in that process.)
Wizard Saints? Public figureheads to show companionship between them and the guilds but the saints only have power in title. Nothing more.
They're shady af, and who doesn't love a shady government in stories?
There could've legit been an ongoing thing in the background of the arcs of the council working to destabilize FT in the eyes of the public because FT is one of the few old guilds in operation present and is not only powerful but a inspirational figure that literally thrives on going against the law(wouldnt want more of those popping up would you?). If it goes logically others trying to follow in FT's footsteps will fall in line and be easier to control.
It could've gone on that the council got real close to their goal of tearing fairy tail down but due to the events of tartarus (see Jackal crazy murdering everyone) they literally lost almost all their forces and had to be built from ground up.
Mest, being one of the few original council members of a high position, gets promoted and having seen both sides of the situation from his spying days rebuilds the council by doing more work alongside wizards and guilds thus bettering the relations, law reforms, decomissioning the weapons of mass destruction, working with the royal family on stuff yadda yadda yadda resulting in good magic council in the end blah blah blah.
But thats just my 2 cents i suppose °3°

Ship Shenanigans
A/n: ohmygosh I’m so sorry about not being super active for a while!! School kinda sucks butt at the moment and I got smacked with a bit of writers block at the same time, but I promise that I’m on track and almost ready to post some of the requests I’ve been working on. I can’t promise my upload schedule will be as consistent, but I’m going to do my best to make sure I’m still putting out stuff, because I really love doing this and am so glad you’re reading what I write! Here’s a little Fairy Tail Natsu oneshot that I’ve had in my drafts to maybe hold you over. Hope you like it!
Pairing: Natsu Dragneel x Reader
Words: 1530
*******
Sitting in a chair on the boat deck, you fanned yourself with your hand. Strands of drenched hair stuck to your forehead, and you already started to regret not bringing any sort of shade on the vessel.
Why did Master Marakov make you come on the boat with the S Trial contestants again?
The rest of your fellow S-Class mages were already on the island, so why were you stuck on this stupid ship? Gramps said something about helping him control this year’s contenders on their journey to the guild’s island, but half of them were either dying of heat or of motion sickness anyways, leaving you unnecessary and miserable.
“Humidity sucks,” you complained, laying your head on your arms to stare out at the ocean.
“Not for Juvia, it doesn’t,” Cana stated, pointing to said water mage staring in awe at-
“GRAY! I DID NOT NEED TO SEE THAT!” you shrieked, shielding your eyes and turning away from the ice mage’s naked figure.
“It’s so hot…” the male groaned from the opposite end of the boat.
“Thanks, Captain Obvious,” glowered a nauseous Gajeel, head hanging off the side of the ship. Near to your sitting place, another Dragon Slayer seemed to have it just as bad, if not even worse.
“You think Wendy would use that Troia spell on me this time around?” Natsu groggily questioned aloud.
With his tousled salmon hair and permanent pout on his face, Natsu would have looked incredibly cute - if not for the excessive amount of times he had leaned over the boat to hurl. Everyone was very much aware of the boy’s hatred of vehicular transportation, especially yourself. Being one of his closest friends caused you to be quite knowledgeable of his motion sickness when you would go on jobs together. It had been a while since you’d seen it up close, though, since you were out working by yourself for a few months.
“She’s technically your enemy, though,” a lounging Loke pointed out to Natsu, referring to the trials about to take place.
“Sorry Natsu,” Wendy agreed sadly. “Hang in there.”
“That’s – okay,” the Fire Dragon Slayer gagged.
A pang of guilt shot through you at the poor boy’s state. Would it be wrong of you to try to comfort him, seeing as he was a trial contender?
When Natsu whined out with one of the most adorably pitiful noises you’d ever heard, you decided that you might as well offer him some company. The trial hadn’t started yet, after all.
“Hey, Natsu,” you spoke up, trying not to make any jolting movements that might shift the boat around more. He stared up at your concerned face with a pained expression.
Natsu drew out your nickname with a tone pleading for help. “Please help me out here.”
A fiery blush arose on your face. The Dragon Slayer knew that you always melted for him when he used that old name. Damn him for knowing that weakness.
“How do I do that?” you asked, slowly sitting down behind Natsu’s head. He was taking up the whole edge on one side of the ship, and you didn’t want to block the middle deck.
“I don’t know,” he whimpered.
“Well,” an idea came to mind as you spoke, “a woman I encountered during my last quest did something when I was dazed, but I’m not sure if it will work for you.”
“Try it, please, literally anything to get me out of this hell.”
You shifted forward from where you sat and gingerly lifted Natsu’s head into your lap. He stared up at your face with curiosity in his onyx eyes, and you gestured for his hands, which he lifted up in compliance.
You placed your index, middle, and ring finger of your right hand on the inside of one of his wrists and applied light pressure for about five seconds, switching over to his other hand before looking down at the pink haired mage for a response.
“Did it work at all?” you inquired softly.
“Yeah, actually. It’s not as bad now,” he sighed, body relaxing slightly.
“Good. I think you can try focusing on a fixed point somewhere on the horizon, or you could try closing your eyes if that helps instead.”
Natsu’s eyes fluttered closed and you couldn’t hold back your smile. There was that cute face, his relaxed features and easier breaths softening his expression.
“Why does the flame baby get special treatment when I’m over here dying?” Gajeel cried as he hung over the boat’s edge.
“I thought you said you didn’t have motion sickness, Gajeel,” you recalled. “If you do, though, just tell me and I can certainly help you out as well.”
The Iron Dragon Slayer grouched. “Nevermind.”
You sat on the deck and continued to hold Natsu’s head, occasionally repeating the same routine of applying pressure to his wrists whenever he started to tense up in discomfort. After some time of just listening to the gentle waves of the ocean, he opened one of his eyes to gaze up at you.
“Thanks for the help,” he offered a small grin, sharp canines just barely poking out.
You smiled back, gently patting the boy’s head. “It’s no problem.”
The pink strands of hair under your fingers were undeniably soft, just how they always looked to you - even in the most action packed of situations. Without really thinking of it, your hands started to weave gently through Natsu’s hair. The Dragon Slayer opened both his eyes at this point, surprised at your actions, but he was basically purring when you started to scratch gently at his scalp.
“Jeez, you’re really good at that,” he hummed, bringing on a warmth in your body that stood completely unrelated to the day’s humidity.
“You think so?”
“Heck yes; I want your hands in my hair for the rest of eternity.”
Your movements stilled for a moment, wanting to engrain that sentence in your mind as quickly as humanly possible. It would be a flat out lie if you said that you weren’t attracted to Natsu, so his words poked at your stomach and prompted it to flutter in all sorts of ways. The oblivious idiot didn’t appear to notice your embarrassingly flustered state, though, simply nuzzling his head further into your lap.
And honestly, that was completely okay with you at the moment.
“Did you happen to bring any mints?” Natsu inquired as you continued playing with his hair. It was pretty common of you to bring along some when you went on jobs with the Dragon Slayer, just to help freshen his breath if he got sick - which was quite often. You rummaged around in the bag that was slung across your shoulders with one hand, checking to see if you had left any in there before leaving the guild. Your hand brushed against a small metal container, pulling it out triumphantly. “You’re in luck, flame brain.”
Natsu sat up slowly to take a mint from you, popping it into his mouth as you ruffled his hair fondly. “Better?”
He nodded a bit. “Yeah, but I think I need one more thing.”
“I don’t know if I’ll have anything to help, but what would that thing be?”
Suddenly, Natsu looked over to the other side of the ship and pointed out into the ocean, catching everyone’s attention.
“Hey, is that Tenrou Island right there?” he called out, which caused everyone to shift over to search the horizon. You also turned your head in the direction to which he gestured, but didn’t make any movement to stand.
“I can’t even see anything, are you sure-?”
Before you could finish your sentence, Natsu had pressed a soft kiss to your cheek and instantly shut you up. You brought your face back to him, who shamelessly grinned at your shocked expression. “Now I’m good to go,” he quipped.
You just stared at him for a moment, completely unsure of what just happened, but as soon as you recovered you instantly grabbed him by his scarf and crashed your lips together. The unusual taste of mint mixed with a scent like smoky firewood was oddly intoxicating as the Fire Dragon Slayer kissed you back with a feverish intensity.
The moment was quickly gone after you urgently pushed him away, noticing Lucy turning back around with a slight frown pulling at her lips.
“Natsu, there’s absolutely nothing over there,” she whined, throwing her hands up in tired aggravation. “You gave me hope that we’d finally be able to get off this thing.”
“Oh my bad, I thought for sure I saw something,” he shrugged nonchalantly, laying back down and settling easily into your lap once more. The smug glint dancing across his eyes made your nerves go haywire, but you didn’t move a muscle until everyone’s attention returned to the unbearable heat radiating onto the ocean’s surface.
“Just because that just happened,” you murmured softly under your breath, “it doesn’t mean I’m going easy on you if I see you on Tenrou.”
He simply flashed a kiddish grin in response. “I wouldn’t dream of it.”

Ship: Freed x Laxus
Rating: Teen
Prompt: Two Bros Chilling in A Hot Tub/Lightning Struck
Summary: Freed knew he had a lot to learn about being a professional wizard, and when he was paired up with Laxus for a mission he expected to learn a lot. He didn't expect to spend a day with him in a hot tub, and he certainly didn't expect to get an entirely unrelated education about life and about love.
Notes: Hello everyone, happy Fraxus Week. For the two bonus days, I've murged the prmopts together to make a two-shot. The second chapter will be uploaded on July the 22nd. I hope you all enjoy it, and head over to @fuckyeahfraxus to see all the other content for the event.

Chapter One
Year: X782
Location: Magnolia, Fiore
Professional Wizardry was still new to Freed. He hadn't wandered into the profession without the expectation that he'd be forced to do things that previously would have been unthinkable, or that his life wouldn't change entirely the moment he had joined a guild, but he felt like he was learning a new aspect to his profession every day. His expectations of the job and the reality of the job was almost entirely different, and Freed found himself enjoying the challenge.
He'd thought he'd be on missions near constantly. He'd go to some place in Fiore, use his magic to fight off a monster or dark wizard, and get paid for it. He hadn't expected there to be a community attached to it, that they'd be such a rigid tier system of missions, and how missions could be anything from finding a lost item, to being on a team attempting to disband a cult. There was so much more, and it was all fascinating.
After his eighteenth birthday three months prior, the jobs that he was allowed to accept had greatly opened up. They were more difficult, presented him with a greater threat to his life, and he was relishing the challenge. He could have gone on those missions earlier, but he much preferred working alone. While he was accepting that being in Fairy Tail meant there was a certain level of comradery with fellow guildmates, and that with that comradery there also came obligations, he didn't see the point in splitting his finances with others while he was powerful enough to perform these missions on his own and take home all the money himself.
The exception to this was Laxus Dreyar.
Master Makarov had approached Freed on his birthday with a proposition. He was worried for his grandson, wanted someone to look after him, and wondered if Freed would mind occasionally attending missions with him. He claimed that, while officially the money would be split between them, Makarov himself would make up the difference for Freed so that he would be paid in full. Freed had agreed, and that had been that.
Up until that afternoon, Freed had not gone on any missions with Laxus. They'd hardly spoken, even with Makarov's assurances that they'd get along. Freed would only be on certain missions and that afternoon's mission was apparently one of them. Makarov told Laxus Freed needed training in more advanced missions, and that he should be the one to do it. Laxus hadn't argued.
Somehow, while attending to a supposedly A-Class mission, they found themselves in Magnolia's hot spring and spa resort.
It was surveillance, so the mission stated. The Rune Army themselves had place the job, stating that they believed that members of a potential dark guild were using the site to host meetings and plan attacks. The resort had been trying to get rid of the suspects but couldn't do so without putting their staff in danger, and having an army presence suddenly appearing would tip the dark guild off and give them time to hide all evidence. The Rune Army wanted mages from Magnolia who could plausibly be in the spa for leisure time, but could also defend themselves from attack, to watch them for suspicious activity. Freed had a feeling that Laxus had taken the job to have a day relaxing in a spa, rather than because he felt the Rune Army needed the help.
None of this would have been a problem for Freed – he'd long since accepted that what constituted a job was a wide array of things – if it weren't for the elephant in the room. Or to be more precise, the Adonis wearing nothing but swimming trunks in the room.
Freed was a professional, but he was also eighteen years old and in the presence of an undeniably handsome man. Nobody, no matter their opinions on Laxus, would state that he was anything but sexy. Tall, blonde, square jawed, barrel chested with a scar over his eye and a tattoo over his pecs. His abs looked to be cut from steel and his legs comparable to tree trunks and, well, Freed was only human. Laxus was distracting.
"So," Laxus suddenly spoke as he slung a towel over his shoulder. "I don't exactly know what Gramps wants you to learn from this, but I'll try and teach ya some shit. Surveillance rule number one: fit in with yer surroundings. You seem pretty good at that."
It was only a moment, but Laxus' assessing gaze over Freed's body was exhilarating. But unprofessional.
Laxus didn't seem to notice, and instead started to walk out of the locker room they'd both changed in, and towards the area where they were meant to be watching. Freed followed, making sure to look straight ahead, rather than give into temptation to check out the man's back and his ass, and it wasn't a difficult task. While Freed had no qualms admitting his attraction to the blonde, he knew where his focus needed to be put. The mission was important, not his hormonal desire for his guildmate.
"That's the door we need to watch," Laxus said as he tilted his head to the door. Freed knew that of course, but Laxus was speaking again before he could say anything. "Pretty open room, lots of vantage points. Where should we go?"
Ah, it was a test then. Good, a worthy distraction and hopefully it would nip any ideas that Freed was in some way Laxus' inferior in the bud. Freed looked around the room quickly, glanced towards the door that they needed to keep in their sights, and quickly made a plan of how the rest of the day would go. Strategy was his strong suit.
"The hot tub," He said firmly. "At least for now."
"Why only for now?" Laxus asked. There was no condensation in his tone, he was simply asking for Freed's reasoning.
"Staying in the same place throughout the afternoon would be suspicious. We know who the suspects are, but that doesn't mean they're the only people involved, so we need to look like regular customers constantly," Freed explained, speaking quietly as they walked further into the room. "As we've only just got here, it makes sense for us to use a facility instantly. Going to sit by the pool or at the juice bar would be odd, at least for now. The massage tables and spa treatments are too distracting, but the hot tub allows us to sit and watch without anyone questioning it. It'll give us the lay of the land without drawing any attention on us."
"And we both have to do it?" Laxus probed. "Wouldn't it make more sense to split up and cover more ground.
"Later," Freed dismissed. "We came in together; we'll need to do things at the same time at least once in a while. As I said, the treatments are distracting and as such we should do them one at a time rather than simultaneously. If we spend the whole day apart after we've arrived together, it'll raise suspicion. The hot tub is a good vantage point, and so a good way to be seen together while not losing an advantage."
Laxus thought for a moment, before nodding, clasping Freed on the bare shoulder, and giving him the smallest of grins. "Yer good at this."
"Of course I am," Freed retorted, and that seemed to make Laxus grin wider.
They walked towards the hot tub, which was at the back wall, attached to the main pool. As it was a Tuesday afternoon, only a few people were loitering around the resort and the hot tub was empty. Freed placed his towel on the handle provided and walked into the hot tub, soaking his entire body sans his head in the hot, bubbling water. His muscles relaxed instantly, and he felt himself slinking down ever so slightly.
"You ain't here to relax," Laxus said in a voice almost teasing as he climbed the stairs into the tub. "Eyes on the mission, remember."
Freed went to point out that, given Laxus was looking at him rather than at the door, he was just as distracted. But Laxus chose that moment to sit down, submerging his chest in water and spreading his arms wide. His left hand was close to Freed's shoulder, and Freed felt that it was an act of great resilience that he didn't give into base urges and watch Laxus as he adjusted to his relaxed, wet – very very wet – state.
"I will if you will," Freed eventually said back, looking towards the door. He missed how Laxus' gaze lingered on his body just a little too long.
They fell into silence, and Freed made a genuine effort to keep his gaze away from the man who shared the hot tub with him. He truly hadn't thought this through. He hadn't realised that, as good as Laxus looked from afar, he looked better up-close. Maybe he should have denied the request to join the mission. And maybe he should have worn a looser swimsuit…
"So," Laxus said after a while, looking up at the ceiling for a moment to crack his neck. "How much is the old man paying you to spy on me?"
Freed halted, and removed his eyes from the door and looked towards Laxus. His face only, of course. "Excuse me."
"Rule two, you gotta trust the guys you're working with. So don't bullshit yer team members," Laxus said with a little grin. "Answer the question."
"For every mission that I do with you, he'll cover all the money you take from it, so I'm fully paid," Freed explained. He saw no point in lying.
"Guess we're gonna be doing some well-paying missions together then, if we wanna bleed the old bastard dry," Laxus smirked, and it was an oddly alluring look on the man. Freed looked away from it, and towards the door again. "You gonna tell him that I'm onto him?"
"I'd rather keep the deal up, I can get good money doing this," Freed shrugged, and he saw Laxus grinning a little from the corner of his eye. He tried not to pay attention to the expression, and instead focused on a man who could fit the description of a suspect. The man walked past the door, but that didn't mean he wasn't who they were looking for. "Why did you agree to this if you knew your grandfather wants reports on you?"
"Because it's gonna happen anyway, might as well accept it," Laxus shrugged. "I knew he was gonna get someone to do it, kinda glad that it's you."
"Why?"
"Because yer interesting," Laxus said, looking up at the ceiling again and closing his eyes as he lowered himself deeper into the water. Freed's gaze flickered low on the man's abs for a moment before looking to the door again. "We get a hell of a lot of mages joining Fairy Tail. Lots of people who think they're tough shit and wanna become the next powerhouse. Yer the only person I think whose got a chance of actually doing it."
The compliment was flattering. Laxus had something of a reputation for being generally rude and selfish, and either they were exaggerated or Laxus was making an exception. Freed felt it was a combination of both, but he accepted the compliment without complaint.
"You know my magic?" He asked.
"I've been keeping tabs on you since you came here, yer interesting," Laxus nodded, wading a hand through the water absently and sending ripples through the bubbles. "People give the darker magics a lot of shit. They're idiots. You can kick ass, and you're not bad to be around. Pretty much the opposite of a Fairy Tail mage right now."
"Does that opinion extend to you?"
"What d'you think?" Laxus asked with a cocky expression that Freed found himself enjoying.
"I wouldn't be here if I thought you weak."
"Good."
They fell into a silence, with the bubbling water warming Freed and making his muscles loose and relaxed. He kept a steady gaze on the door, making sure to avert his eyes when someone walked into the room, so his staring wasn't too obvious. It was a worthy distraction, and one well needed now that Laxus had apparently been watching him for all of eight months. That, combined with the fact that Laxus was wearing swimming trunks and was less than five feet away, could all become rather an issue if Freed didn't focus on anything else.
"Okay, your turn to relax now," Laxus said, cutting through Freed's thoughts. His voice was a little more relaxed. "You can't stay lookin' at the door all day. You'll get a crick in the neck."
"I'll be fine," Freed dismissed.
"Doesn't matter," Laxus stated, shifting slightly to get closer to Freed. It was to get a better view of the door, but the body heat that rivalled the warmth of the water was a noticeable feeling and Freed tensed. "Rule Three: lean on yer teammates. Sometimes you'll need to slack off, that ain't something to fight against. So long as someone in the team is on full alert it isn't too bad a problem. So sit back, close yer eyes, and let me take over for a while."
Freed was hesitant, but Laxus was clearly taking over keeping his gaze on the door, and Freed eventually found himself sliding down to further cover his body in water, and closed his eyes as relaxation flowed through him.
When his mind began to slip, Freed found himself thinking that Laxus was actually rather helpful. Freed wasn't quite so arrogant to think he knew everything about wizarding work, and an S-Class mage would have things to teach. Laxus especially would be useful to learn from, given their apparently similarities in working styles. Freed would need to learn how to work in a team, even if it wasn't fond of the idea, and Laxus might know how to offer actual advice rather than pointless mantras like 'your team should be your family' and other nonsense he'd heard from Fairy Tail. Without lying about why he was there, his team-ups with Laxus might be mutually beneficial.
Perhaps relaxing wasn't too bad an idea, either. Freed's mind had been somewhat consumed by his work. Finding a place to live as a seventeen-year-old had been difficult, and he'd put in a lot of effort in getting rent on time. But now he got better paying jobs, that urgency could fall away a little.
With a bit of effort, he tried to push the fact he was on a job to the back of his mind.
Once this whole thing was dealt with, maybe he would invest in a pass for the resort. In his preliminary research for the mission, he'd heard good things about the facilities, and even though he'd only been in the hot tub as of yet, he felt inclined to agree.
Though perhaps Laxus' company was partially to blame for his mood.
Fairy Tail had sometimes felt like a lonely place. Their focus on friendship, family and their revoltingly sentimental ideas about goodness were nice in principle, but when you were on the outside looking in it could get under your skin. Freed knew he was at fault for his lack of relationships with his guildmates, but perhaps Laxus might be a good starting point. Ironic, given that nearly everyone had told him Laxus was off-putting and rude.
The bubbles sent a pleasant chill over him, and Freed felt his tenseness ebbing away. When he got a pass for the resort, he'd have to explore the idea of a massage. He'd never thought it appealing, but perhaps he could be convinced.
There wouldn't be much convincing needed if Laxus were the one massaging him.
"Shit," Laxus hissed, and Freed's eyes whipped open. A rush of panic filled him that somehow he might have said that aloud, but the idea was ridiculous. He looked to Laxus to see worry flickering over him. "The suspect saw me looking, I think he went to get backup."
"Are you sure?" Freed asked, mind suddenly back on focus again.
"No, but we made eye contact. He's suspicious of me," Laxus was clenching his teeth, seemingly annoyed at himself. "We can't fuck it up, the Rune Army don't take shit like this lightly. We need a distraction or to get out."
"A distraction will be easier," Freed concluded. "Does he know for sure that we're looking out for him?"
"I wasn't being careful. I was watching him for about a full minute without being subtle. Pretty sure he knows it's not a passing glance."
"But that doesn't mean you know what he's doing, it just means you were looking at him," Freed mused aloud. "What if we throw him off the scent, give him another reason for why you were so focused on him."
"The hell would that be?" Laxus growled a little, and Freed scanned the room. They were the only two people in there now.
"Maybe you wanted him gone," Freed thought, plans forming in his head. Many of them he had to dismiss outright. "Perhaps if he sees something he wasn't meant to see, he'll think you were looking at him because you wanted him to leave."
"What the hell would I wanna do that I wouldn't want him seeing?" Laxus snapped, agitation rising. An idea came to Freed. It was good, it would get them out of the situation no doubt, but it might have a few repercussions in the future. Many arguments both for and against it flung through his mind, and his indecision must have been obvious, as Laxus continued talking a moment later. "Rule four, if a mission's going to shit and you think you can salvage it, you do it. So if you've got any ideas, I'd love to hear them."
Freed went to open his mouth to explain his idea, but he heard movement from across the room and glanced towards the door. It was opening, and two more suspects were walking through it, stone-faced and angry.
Before he could second guess himself, he launched himself onto Laxus and began to kiss him.
It was a sloppy, energetic, and passionate kiss. Laxus was frozen for a few moments, but Freed forced himself to push on in the hope that Laxus was trying to understand what was happening. Laxus quickly started to kiss back, and a hand ran down Freed's back, pulling him close. Freed began to mess his hands through Laxus' hair, heart pounding and a ringing in his ears cutting through his panic. He couldn't think of how bad an idea this was, about how there were probably hundreds of other ways to deal with this, because rumours stated that the dark mages were powerful, and he didn't want to get into a fight he could avoid.
Kissing wasn't enough for his plan. People kissed all the time. They needed to get… intimate. Freed began to run his hands over Laxus' torso – damn was he strong – and he felt large hands groping at his ass in return. He gasped into the kiss, and forced himself to remember that it was just for the mission.
The sound of a door closing snapped him back to reality, and he glanced to the side without breaking the kiss to see the suspects had left. He pulled himself off of Laxus, to find he'd been dragged so he was straddling the man's thigh at some point, and turned away with a blush, panting quietly.
"Good plan," Laxus said, voice also breathless. "Think it threw them off."
"Yes," Freed agreed. He couldn't look towards Laxus now. He simply couldn't. "I'm sorry for doing-"
"Don't, you did what you had to do," Laxus cut him off, voice somewhat stern, which wasn't helping the situation. "I would've done the same if I thought of it, and you fixed my fuck up. So no complaints."
"Okay," Freed didn't feel any better. He stood up and reached for his towel, still not looking at Laxus. "I think I should sit at the juice bar for a while, we've been together for long enough."
"Wait," Laxus began, shifting slightly but Freed was climbing from the hot tub before he could reach for him. "This ain't- you don't have to leave on my account."
"I'm not," Freed lied. Because of course he was. Laxus might be straight, he might not like Freed, and he might not appreciate being kissed like that at random. "If we spend all out time in the hot tub, it'll look odd. It was overdue, more so now they've seen us."
Laxus looked ready to argue, but sighed and nodded. Freed walked towards the juice bar, fighting the urge to touch his lips. Electricity danced over them.
Kissing Laxus… it felt like being struck by lightning.

Fairy Tail fanfic ideas that won't leave me alone
Hey, so, you might have seen my headcanon posts. I started it especially because I have this idea of a "what if" that won't leave me alone. I might write it at one point, I might not. I might write it directly in English, or in French (French is more probable, though, but it might change, since I think it could be a good exercice).
I will add it in the headcanons posts later on, but since I watched the last episodes of Fairy Tail, I've had a lot of questions about Acnologia's backstory. And then stuff came to me and would not leave me alone.
I have several what if scenarios, all including Acno's romantic partner, because I love me some tragic romance stuff (I love angst and I also love "hurt and comfort" tropes, so...), with said partner being the focus, because I love me some OCs too.
Here are my ideas (in all of them, the partner had sustained heavy damage from a poison dragon):
What if they survived, but Acno discovered it a hundred years after his dragonification?
What if they survived but went crazy for a few hundred years because of dragonification and trauma and could not find Acno, but they found the time-travelling dragon salyers?
What if they survived enough to give birth to a child and raise them a few years, but ultimately succumbed to their injuries?
What if both the mother and child survived?
Depending on the option, the plot could change drastically when it comes to Acno.
Tumblr media
I also have an idea revolving around another OC (nothing to do with dragons or dragon slayers) that makes me think about the other countries of Isghar and working on world-building (my love ❤️) and calling out Mashima nonesense - it would be a completely different AU, that follows the original plot closer, but from the POV of a character that has no importance in said original plot, because they're not a MC in the adventures of Fairy Tail, which is also something I want to explore because I find the idea fun -, but that also integrates ideas coming from the Pradeshverse created by an AO3 writer called Desna1.
There are interesting ideas in their AU, but also a LOT (and I say A LOT) of things that either do not appeal to me, or that are still too steeped in patriarchal thought-processes (I very much dislike the objectification of M/M romance in there, the still very present objectification of women in a more subtle way, the idea that males need to be sexually satisfied with a woman to consider being in love with her, and their world-building when it comes to the mating instincts of the dragon slayers, just to name a few) to really work for me. Although the idea of Bixlow being Boscan is a thing that I already had thought about, and creating him a family is very sweet.
If you're curious, my character is actually Desian, but emigrated to Fiore with their mom, but, sadly, their mom died, and they were left in a country they were still not acclimated to and with the culture clash and customs that seem barbarian to them, and, in desperation, they joined Fairy Tail. But they were NOT happy about how the guild functions (because I have ideas pertaining to how Desian society and mages things work and it's very different from Fiore hoho). And that unhappiness led to angst, because you know I love my angst. I don't have a whole plot for this, meaning, I have a plot to like a year or so after the war with Alvarez, but it's not the end of the plot involving my character (who has a name that might change, because I need to do some research, as the nerd that I am, before really commiting).
So yeah, there it is.
I'm honestly very curious of what the Tumblr sphere thinks about such concepts, since it's the first time I've ever talked about a fanfic before actually writing it and I've just started involving myself more actively in fandom stuff.
I'm opened to criticism, by the way. You might have guessed that I'm already quite outspoken about my opinions and ideas (as much as an introvert and a Libra that hates confrontation can be, lol), so I ask the same of potential readers (although I expect negative criticism to be articulate and not just gratuitous negativity).
Thanks!
