“Logan!” Y/n exclaimed as she saw the blonde American walking through the paddock. She was seated with Oscar and Lily who looked at her confused as she ran to the Williams driver.

“Y/n!” Logan exclaimed as he wrapped his arm around her waist. “It’s been a hot minute, hasn’t it?”

“Of course! It’s not like we went out for dinner last night or anything.” She laughed, holding onto his shoulder.

Oscar and Lily share another glance at the sight of Y/n giggling with someone else. They knew that she was giggling with Logan was strange because she didn’t really know him, or so they thought.

The English girl furrowed up her eyebrows, feeling strange at the sight of the two. “Osc, is it just me, or is it weird to see her with Logan?”

The Australian driver hummed in response, stabbing the lettuce in his salad. Before taking a bite he mumbled, “Feels weird too.” They both let out a sigh while looking at each other. They both knew the feeling very well. It was jealousy. They couldn’t believe they felt jealous watching their friend with Logan.

Oscar glanced back at the two while Lily squinted as they watched Y/n drag her hand down Logan’s arm before hugging him goodbye. She turns around to walk back to the couple but pauses at the look on their faces.

“Why do you both look so pissy?” Y/n asked confused, sitting in front of them and grabbing her can of Red Bull that she had abandoned due to chatting with Logan.

“When did that happen?” Lily asked, a hint of jealousy in her voice.

“We’ve been chatting for a few weeks now. We hung out last night.” Y/n replied with a shrug. “We’re just seeing where this is going.”

“So you have a crush on Logan now?” Oscar asked as he took another bite of his salad. He did nothing to hide the sound of jealousy in his voice or the upset look on his face.

“Why do you both look so upset? I didn’t think it was serious.” She nervously chuckled and glanced between the couple.

Lily rested her hand over hers. Y/n hated how her heart started to race from such a small action. She actually had a crush on the couple. But due to a recent interview of Oscar calling her just a friend, she thought that if she got closer to Logan then maybe she’s lose her feelings or possibly make them jealous.

Clearly, she hadn’t gotten over her feelings.

Oscar’s voice snapped her out of her thoughts. “What’re you doing talking to other guys?” His voice was suddenly low. His girlfriend hummed in agreement, moving to sit beside Y/n.

“Why do you care so much?”

“Because we care about you, a lot,” Lily responds and wraps her arms around the confused girl.

The McLaren driver clears his throat, copying his girlfriend's action by moving to sit on Y/n’s other side. “Seems like Lily and I have newfound feelings for you. And I must say, they’re not platonic.”

She furrowed up her eyebrows again and scrunched up her nose. She looked at Oscar like he had just grown another head. “What the fuck do you mean? Weren’t you the one who called me a ‘good friend’?”

“Yeah, and he was stupid for it.” The British girl says with a smile, resting her head against her shoulder. “But he’s right. We both like you and to be fair, seeing you with Logan made us jealous.”

“That was the point,” Y/n mumbled causing the couple to laugh. Both of their hands moved to grasp hers, each taking one hand. Her heart rate began to pick up again as she kept staring between the two.

“So, give us a chance?” Oscar asked with his signature shy smile.

“I waited so long to hear you say that,” Y/n said with a smile, letting out a giggle as she squeezed both hands. “But yes. Of course.”

Lily smiled widely as she reached over to tuck a strand of Y/n's hair behind her ear, “Osc and I made you wait too long, didn’t we, pretty girl?” She said, looking over at the Australian before focusing back on the girl between them.

“Way too long.”

''Hello, everyone! I am here again, gracing you with my presence!'' Y/N greeted the thousands of people tuning into her Instagram live. 

She waved at the camera. ''I hope everyone had a great day or is about to have a great day, depends on where you live,'' she grinned, ''I'm here to live out my influencer life and unbox a package that has been delivered to me.'' 

Y/N grabbed the box from next to her so it was more visible on the screen. ''My good friend, Daniel Ricciardo sent me a box of his new wine collection,'' she showed the large logo to everyone, holding the box close to the camera, ''and I'm gonna try it out now.'' 

The young driver opens the package and picks out one of the three identical wine bottles. ''So this is called 'DR3 the Third Cabernet Sauvignon' and it was made in the South of Australia.'' She read the label out loud, an impressed look on her face. 

Y/N held the wine bottle up in front of her phone as if she were a Youtuber showing their viewers the make-up product they were using. ''Very, very pretty.'' 

She took the corkscrew that she had quickly grasped before starting the live and easily opened the bottle. ''This isn't my first time at the rodeo, guys.'' Y/N chuckled as she saw fans commenting about how she opened the bottle with ease. 

''Okay, let's taste this baby!'' Filling her glass with wine, she was excited to try Daniel's new wine. 

The young woman made several comedic attempts at seeming like a professional wine expert; smelling the drink and spinning her glass around. 

''Cheers, everyone!'' She tapped her glass against the screen of her phone. 

Y/N took a big sip from the wine, letting out a big ''Ah'' at the end. ''I love this! Holy Moly, Danny Ric!'' She drank from her glass again, immediately filling it up again. ''I'm a fan!'' 

She glanced at the comments, seeing a certain Australian man camping in there. ''Danny! You're here! I just drank it, it's amazing!''

Leo looked at his phone for a good second and then left it on his bed, unattended. he ran to your residence hall— it didn’t matter to him that it was quite literally on the other side of campus. he needed to hear you say the words he had been waiting to hear since he was fifteen. he’d always had a slight crush on you, mostly off and on.

But during the summer, he had fallen for you even harder than he thought he could. he never thought that he could love someone as much as he loved you. anyway, he was practically dying as he ran to your dorm! his hair was disheveled, and he was panting a bit. he wasn’t sure if he was sweaty because he was nervous, or because he had just ran to get to your dorm.

He knocked on your door three times.

You jumped out of your bed. you felt like throwing up from how nervous you were. you quickly slid on your slippers, and looked in the mirror before you opened the door for him. (making the poor boy wait). you adjusted your hair, making sure it sat right.

You took a deep breath before opening the door. you almost didn’t, but a voice in your head was telling you that you’d be an idiot if you didn’t open the door. your hands gripped the doorknob, and then unlocked it. leo was practically dying because you were taking years to open the stupid door. you finally opened it, getting met by a disheveled-sweaty-flushed leo valdez.

“Hi.” he croaked out, his voice cracking slightly. he felt like he was on fire, literally. he wanted this to be over with! well, no, that’s a lie. he just wanted to be your boyfriend already.

“…Hi.” you answered, your voice was quiet. you had an awkward smile on your face. you were praying that you would just drown at this moment. you’d much rather enjoy that than this.

He cleared his throat, and finally spoke after a long minute of awkward silence. The two looked at each other “I really… really like you. I.. Uh.. You obviously know that already, but I wanna tell you in person?” he said, nodding along with his own words. his hands went to fumble with the hem of his shirt, anxiously waiting for your response.

“I really like you, too.” You replied. you didn’t feel as nervous as anymore when he started to talk. you felt your face getting hotter, and your smile getting bigger. he grinned at you like an idiot.

He thought that he was dreaming when you said you liked him. The start of something. “Really?” He asked, just wanting to hear you say it again. He couldn’t help but grin like an idiot. He thought never in a million years that you’d ever like him! You were totally out of his league. you were so awesome, so pretty, and so sweet.

You nodded again, rolling your eyes. “Yes, really.”

I’m getting ready for tonight while listening to some music. I can’t stop thinking about marc though.. but I guess that’s a problem for in an hour.

Okay i’m finally ready and hear the bell ring, I look out of my window and see Liz. I run downstairs and open the door. ‘Hi future mrs Guiu!’ she says teasingly, ‘Liz oh my god shut up.’ I reply. I mean not that I wouldn’t like it.. but still.

‘Are you ready to go y/n?’ ‘Yes Liz’ I say and we start walking to the party. Luckily Mateo only lives like 7 minutes away from us. As we enter his house we see Lamine and Hector and greet them. We talk for a bit but then I really needed to go to the bathroom. ‘I’ll be back in a few minutes, bye!’ I say.

I’ve been at Mateo’s house a few time so luckily I know where the bathroom is.

After i’m done I wanted to walk back to where my friends were but then a guy walked up to me. He’s quite tall and attractive.. but nothing next to Marc though.

‘Hey pretty girl.’ he says.. oh my god what do I say!?!?? ‘Hey, i’ve never seen you before’ I reply. I suck at talking to guys oh my god. ‘I’ve never seen such pretty girls in Barcelona either’ ‘Oh really? There are a lot.’ I say, my god y/n am I trying to introduce him to other girls or something?? ‘Hmm I highly doubt it.’ he says and I notice he’s standing closer to me now.

I smile as we hold eye contact but then I look to my left.. from all the people I could see right now I see Marc. Marc Guiu. This world is plotting against me.

I see him looking kind of annoyed? But at the same time upset and mad. What do I do? Do I go after a guy that’s technically just a friend or do I stay here talking to a guy thats actually interested in me? The first option.

‘Sorry.. i’ll be back!’ I say to the guy who’s name I didn’t even get. I walk towards where Marc was walking and see he’s with our friend group.

‘Hi..’ I say. ‘You took long, thought you were making out with someone for a minute’ Liz says and I can see Marc getting more annoyed.. ‘Wouldn’t be surprised at this point.’ Lamine says jokingly and I reply ‘Don’t be mad at me because you cant pull Lamine.’

‘I’m going home, you coming with me Hector?’ Marc says all of a sudden. ‘Oh yeah sure.’ Hector replies. ‘Oh.. ehm, bye Marc.’ I say but he ignores me, maybe he just didn’t hear me.. but then again when the rest of the group says bye he does say something, odd.

A few hours later the party is done and me and Liz walk home. ‘Liz? After I went to the bathroom a guy walked up to me.. we started talking and he seemed interested.’ I say. ‘Oh my god really? Im so happy for you!’ ‘Thank you, don’t think Marc is happy for me though. He saw us and didn’t look too excited for me.. and when we both were back to our friendgroup he also looked annoyed and ignored me.’ I say. ‘You know what that means right y/n?? He likes you.’ You see, I really love Liz.. but sometimes she IS delusional because there’s no way.

The next day I wake up and luckily it’s still weekend. I open my phone and decide to text Marc since we were supposed to hang out today.

At that point Tim was rolling on the floor while holding his stomach.

After getting the tour, they sleep. The next day:

You felt your phone ring so you picked it up

cooking together

While cooking together, Karaku and Urogi usually do anything, but not cook. Urogi of course tries to help if he is asked about it, but it turns out badly. At least he tries. Karaku just eats and watches the others do something. Aizetsu and Sekido help y/n cook, but it usually ends up with Sekido getting dirty. Aizetsu is fine as long as he is not allowed to cut the onion, because the baby will then cry even more than usual (0((

Zohakuten does not participate in the cooking because he is still too young, but when he grows up he will be happy to help cook <3

Aizetsu

When Aizetsu has a nightmare or is just sad, he comes to you and cuddles with y/n while she cradles him like a baby. In the end they always fall asleep together 🥹

Don't ask me why but I think Aizetsu would watch Maya the Bee or Pororo. Just don't ask.

He probably wouldn't like games that are too violent, so he'd probably play some kind of peaceful and cute games

I don't know about his hobbies, but I think it would be drawing or jigsaw puzzles🤔

Kill me if he doesn't have a lot of soft toys in his room or he's not a fan of Hello Kitty

Urogi is definitely the type of child who jumps on his mother from a running start and hugs her tightly, especially when he misses her

He definitely has a little parrot, you can't convince me otherwise. The parrot has a cute name like "Kiwi"<3

I think we can all agree that he is a big fan of birds, so he would watch any bird documentary or bird cartoon

Bro rarely cleans his room unless he is reminded to clean💀

The most active among his brothers, so his hobbies would be related to sports, I guess

He must have had lice at least once in his life😦

Sekido

Sekido doesn't have much affection for y/n at first, but over time he gets used to her and often holds her hand

I think he's the type of kid who watches horror movies at night thinking he's old enough but then bro can't sleep alone so he comes up to y/n saying things like "Ngh, just Karaku keeps me awake with his snoring 😒" and it doesn't matter that they sleep in different rooms

He's not a big fan of hugs, but he doesn't mind hugging occasionally

He is the oldest among the brothers and he loves to lead them. When y/n can't calm them down, Sekido takes on the role of parent.

He mostly gets mad at Karaku and Urogi. "STOP GIVING TROUBLE TO MOM, IDIOTS!"

I think he would be the only one who drinks coffee with y/n in the morning. His mug would look like this. He doesn't really care which mug to drink from as long as no one touches his mug.

Karaku

Fully enjoys kisses on the forehead and cheeks before bed, and he'll be really upset if y/n ever forget to kiss him.

He has such a soothing voice, so if he reads bedtime stories for his younger brothers, then they immediately fall asleep

Karaku watches horror movies with Sekido, but after just a few minutes of the movie, he looks like "😰"

Bro thinks babies are found in cabbage

I think his hobby would also be related to sports, but besides that, he could collect a herbarium

As I said earlier, he and Sekido sometimes have violent outbursts where he screams and cries at the same time. After such situations, the poor baby asks for hugs on his own.

For some reason he gets jealous when his brothers try to stop him from hugging y/n. (Bro really looks like "😠")

I don’t know if you’re actually watching the Ahsoka series or not, but I was very curious on your thoughts on the newest episode, and the confrontation between Anakin and Ahsoka.

Bro traumatized her again. Lol. 😒🙃

I’m actually kind of satisfied that she showed a little resentment, but I still don’t like that she didn’t cuss him out or something.

Anakin not apologizing is infuriating at first glance, but I also think it fits his character.

It’s funny, if I think about it in a certain way: I wonder if Anakin himself views his “redemption” kind of the same way his fans do. He’s just like, “Why are you still pissed at me? I died stopping the Emperor, didn’t I?” 🙄

The only one I think he’d actually feel sad about is Leia, because of course he’d want his daughter to like him, but she never will now, because he fucking tortured her and blew up her planet.

You know… I don’t really view Anakin’s final moments as a true “redemption” in the eyes of the galaxy. George Lucas has a quote where he says parents are redeemed in the eyes of their children. I guess you could argue that Anakin redeemed himself in Luke’s eyes, but not the galaxy’s own.

And then there’s Leia, who will never forgive him or think of him as her father.

In a way, it’s almost fitting for Anakin, that each of his children represent something for him.

Luke represents forgiveness, and how it’s never too late to do the right thing.

Leia represents his mistakes and sins. As long as she lives, he’ll always look at her and remember the damage he’s done. She’d never let him forget it.

Which is funny, when going back to the recent Ahsoka episode, and how he was acting like a dick to Ahsoka.

Personally, I think he was purposely trying to piss her off to make her fight to not die.

Still though: he’s such a jackass. 😒

Anyways, I guess my main point is that I don’t view Anakin being a Force Ghost shows that he was “redeemed.” I view it more as a type of salvation. Like the Bible story where Jesus is on the cross with two other men next to him. And then one man decides to “believe in him” or whatever, and his soul is saved by the skin of his teeth.

This is kind of how I view Anakin’s act of saving Luke. His soul was saved, because he did a heel face turn at the last second. So The Force was like, “Good enough, I guess.” *Throws up hands*

Anyways, sorry for the long rambling. I hope you don’t mind the message. Haha. 😅 I just have found your blog really therapeutic, because while I like Anakin as the fascinating character that he is, it still just kills me how fandom woobifies him and blames the Jedi for their own genocide.

I don't mind this message at all, thanks so much for sending so many of your thoughts, this was great! It's going to be a long reply back, though, since there's so much to respond to and if you've been going through my blog, this probably won't surprise you.

I AM watching the Ahsoka show, I'm just putting my thoughts about it on a different blog to this one (this blog was created for me to be negative so I usually only review things on here if I KNOW I'm going to be negative about it, but I was hopeful I'd have positive things to say about the Ahsoka show lol).

I think I'm feeling RELATIVELY mediocre about the show. Like I don't hate the whole thing, I can see why it appeals to people, but it's not really hitting at what I would've wanted from a narrative perspective. It seems to be relying on fan service and pretty visuals rather than genuinely good writing to get them through. If you happen to be the fan being serviced, you probably like it fine. But if you are someone more like me, then you might be noticing that there aren't a lot of stakes, the character motivations are weak or missing, the two storylines aren't being spliced together very well, and the dialogue's just not that great. There's also several more nitpicky things that are really pissing me off about the show (the way they're treating Force sensitivity, Sabine being a Jedi at all for no good reason and how her character is being butchered, the very distant and aloof acting I feel like we're getting from everybody, and of course the requisite anti-Jedi bullshit that we can all expect from Filoni at this point).

But as for how I felt about Anakin and Ahsoka's scenes in the latest episode this week, I am personally of the opinion that it WASN'T Anakin at all. I know it's left ambiguous, so if people feel like it was truly Anakin in some way shape or form, that's fine, but I think it makes more sense to me personally that it wasn't. This is Ahsoka's manifestation of Anakin in a moment where she's literally drowning and emotionally at something of a low point and has to decide if she's going to live or not and that conflict plays out in her head the way we see it. I'm also open to the idea that this is one of those things where the Force "tests" the Jedi not unlike what we see happen on Ilum and Mortis and the Force is just utilizing Anakin's visage to bring Ahsoka's deepest fears out into the open.

What makes it interesting to me is that then we can look at the interactions as THIS IS HOW AHSOKA SEES HIM. Whether she thinks about it that deeply or not, THIS personality is how she remembers him. The immediate choice to be violent with her and test her fighting skills rather than talk to her more gently, the dismissive attitude he has towards her, the flickering back and forth between Anakin and Vader because she doesn't truly know which one he was most. He wasn't necessarily a great teacher and his way of teaching wasn't very Jedi-like, it's ruthless and merciless and unkind, and we see that reflected in their interactions in this episode, which could be a really interesting look at how Ahsoka still remembers him even if she didn't see it negatively at the time.

So him not apologizing isn't like... an indication of how Anakin might actually handle this interaction if it were truly him so much as just... Ahsoka being unsure sure if he WOULD apologize because she has no idea how much of him was Vader the entire time and Vader would clearly never apologize. I think the Anakin we see by the end of ROTJ probably would apologize at SOME point, especially if we're supposed to see him as redeemed and acknowledging/accepting of his sins, etc. But Ahsoka doesn't know that. Ahsoka probably kind-of knows through Luke that he turned back in his last moments, but she wasn't there for that, she didn't get to see it, and she obviously still has no idea what caused him to turn on the Jedi and become a Sith to begin with. Why did he come back for Luke and not her? Was it because she abandoned him? Did he just not care about her the way she thought? Was there something intrinsically wrong with her that he recognized from the beginning?

There's just too much uncertainty perhaps for Ahsoka to know if he'd actually apologize and she doesn't even necessarily need or want an apology so much as she just wants to UNDERSTAND. Because of course it leads into her doubts about HERSELF and whether being his apprentice (even for as short of a time as it was) has somehow influenced her to be more like him and if she should be worried that she'll go dark or cause a student of hers to go dark. If she doesn't know why HE made that choice, how can she trust herself? It's not entirely dissimilar to the statement she made at the end of the Wrong Jedi arc where she claims she's leaving the Jedi because if the Council couldn't trust her then she isn't sure she can trust herself, either. And now with Anakin going dark, she has to wonder if the Council saw something of that in her when no one else did, saw a future for her that she hadn't been able to see for herself yet.

I think personally I'd just rather look at this episode as the closest we're going to get to a "deep dive" into Ahsoka's psyche and character rather than try to analyze it as like "what does this say about Anakin." It's not Anakin's story anymore, it's Ahsoka's. Or it's supposed to be, anyway.

That all being said, I don't think it went far enough and I do dislike that we didn't get to dive into OTHER aspects of Ahsoka via other relationships in order to round out who she actually is. I don't think we know any more about her at the end of the episode than we did at the beginning. I don't think she really grows or changes through the episode at all. I don't know what the whole "choose to live" thing was about or how it connects to her overall arc because while, yes, she's obviously literally drowning in the moment, "choosing to live" is not something they've been exploring as an issue for Ahsoka throughout this season so far, so it didn't feel like this cool end to her character journey so much as just a really shallow one-liner made to sound badass without anything particularly profound behind it.

I think gffa said that one of the things you can tell about this show is that it's been percolating in Filoni's mind for so long that there's things he's leaving out because they're just totally obvious to him now and he's forgotten that the audience won't know some of it without being told or shown. If Ahsoka was depressed or suicidal or something like that, it never came across in the first four episodes. She barely seems to be struggling at all to me, personally. So maybe that's what Filoni wanted us to understand about her, maybe that was the intention, but it just didn't quite make it from his head into the writing or onto the screen.

And I keep going back to the Obi-Wan Kenobi show and the way they handled his character arc. They started him at a really low point where he's so CLEARLY depressed and just moving through life without actually living or finding any way to be happy. They spend so much time showing us how OUT of character Obi-Wan is in order for the pay off by the end and the slow growth of his character throughout the six episode story to feel satisfying. And while he's out of character in his depression, it's done in such a way that that's the POINT. We all know WHY he's out of character, we know what's causing him to be that way, it doesn't need to be explained because it didn't happen off-screen, it's literally the plot of an entire trilogy of films. It felt like a pretty natural extension of the state we last saw him in and it allows him the ability to actually have a journey that makes sense.

We've gotten NONE OF THAT for Ahsoka. Her relationship with Sabine is nonsensical and comes out of nowhere with zero explanation. Her weird thing about Padawans comes out of nowhere with zero explanation. Her aloof attitude is coming out of nowhere and does nothing to help us understand the state of mind she's in. She never seems to be acting SO out of character that it tells the audience how much she's struggling, but she's also SO flat that she no longer feels much like the Ahsoka everyone knew and loved from The Clone Wars. They're inventing new problems for her to have that make no sense instead of giving her a journey to actually deal with the problems she already had and hadn't gotten any resolution for. And they're unable to actually connect her problems from before into the Rebels storyline in a way that makes any real sense or feels genuine and meaningful for either Ahsoka or Sabine, so both storylines are getting half-assed and butchered in the attempt.

Personally, I think Ahsoka should've had a season set closer to ROTJ or even before it, just after she gets off of Malachor and 2-3 years prior to ANH, to explore her immediate reaction to Anakin's betrayal and have her overcome that on her own. Use original characters primarily, throw in Bail Organa or something if needed just to give her a quick plot, but let it be about AHSOKA. And only once her journey to finding herself is complete do we then move on to the Search for Ezra, which should be focusing WAY more on the Rebels characters than we're actually getting and should not involve any of the Rebels characters (except maybe Jacen) learning to be Jedi. Ahsoka would be a side character in this story because she has now had her story told and we can let Sabine and Ezra and Jacen and Hera be at the forefront of the story. (I also think we could've done something with Sabine that wasn't being a Jedi or her entire family being murdered off screen so she has an excuse to do a characterization 180 and act like a bratty teenager all over again.)

If I had to just change THIS episode a little, I have a few alternatives I've been thinking about. For one, I do just think we should've gotten to explore OTHER relationships beyond Anakin to emphasize the other things that Ahsoka is that aren't just "Anakin's Padawan." Rex, Barriss, Plo Koon, even Kanan or Ezra to try to make that connection to Rebels. She's been a friend, a commander, a rebel, a student, a mentor, an ally, a Jedi. She's been so many things that have nothing at all to do with Anakin and I think that might've been nice to explore as well. Yes, Anakin was important. Yes, she's fucked up about it. But that's not ALL THAT SHE IS. So I think starting off with her fears about Anakin is great, but then have her move on and sort-of go through it a little like Charles Dickens' A Christmas Story to show that she's more than this, too. This probably would've worked better if it had been a two parter thing rather than one 30-40 minute episode, depending on how many characters you wanted to throw in.

I also would've appreciated seeing her break and shatter at seeing Anakin. I wanted her to be ANGRY, to refuse to forgive him, to throw his betrayal in face. And then by the end of the episode, she lets it go. She's seen that she doesn't need to hold onto that anymore and it doesn't matter what choices Anakin did or didn't make, she's her own person and can make HER own choices. And so Anakin comes back at the end, and she's no longer angry. She can forgive him. I also would've wanted her to have been more snappy and frustrated and angry earlier in the season, as well, so we can TELL there's something simmering underneath that she's trying to keep repressed until it finally boils over in this episode.

The other alternative I came up with was the OPPOSITE idea where Ahsoka is basically just kind-of... in denial about it. She isn't acknowledging her own anger and pain and betrayal at all and she just wants to spend this time with Anakin the way they used to and Anakin is sitting there provoking her and trying to get her to break so she can let it all out. Eventually he gets her to admit it and get angry and yell at him and acknowledge her own pain finally so she can see how it's impacting her relationships in the present day. She's been trying up until now, but as Yoda's always said, sometimes trying isn't enough, and you just have to do or do not. She doesn't reject him at the end of this, but she can at least acknowledge what he did to her and how it's made her feel. You could even include some of her anti-Jedi bullshit in this and have her justifying Anakin's betrayal by saying the Jedi failed him the way they failed her and Anakin pushing back on that idea so that by the end of the episode, she can recognize that she's been blaming the Jedi because she's been uncomfortable with her inability to understand Anakin's choices and it was easier to blame the Jedi than live with that uncertainty.

I've discussed my feelings on Anakin's redemption a lot and they're definitely not in the majority. Personally, I just don't think he's redeemed at all. My definition of redemption is along the lines of "you can fix/undo the thing you broke/damaged" rather than just... "you decided to stop breaking things even if there's no way to fix it." It doesn't mean Anakin can't keep being a better person if he'd lived, or that he can't find redemption in more specific places (like Luke forgiving him for chopping off his hand), but that there is no redemption for what he did to the Jedi, to the clones, and to the galaxy at large. None. It doesn't matter what he does, it doesn't matter that he stopped himself and Palpatine, it doesn't MATTER. The Jedi and the Republic are still gone, the clones were still enslaved, the galaxy is still in shambles and traumatized from 25 years under the Empire.

You aren't the only one who's chosen to separate your definition of "redemption" from something else to make it make more sense. Someone else went for redemption being different from an absolution wherein you are just immediately forgiven of all of your sins because of one act or whatever, while redemption is the process of doing better. If that works for you, go for it. Personally, I just think Anakin isn't redeemed. He cheat coded his way into being a Ghost and the Ghosts don't make any sense anyway. I think it's definitely intended to represent his redemption IN THE NARRATIVE, like that's the point of the visual, but it just doesn't work for me, so I choose not to see it that way. It's ambiguous enough and the Force Ghost lore confusing enough that it's not that hard.

Your interpretation of Luke and Leia as the two sides of forgiveness is intriguing. I do think Leia could get to the point of forgiveness that basically looks like letting go of her anger because the man's dead anyway so there's no real point staying angry and understanding the history that may have led him to become the monster she knew, but that doesn't mean she has to LIKE him or ever consider him a father.

I think you could kind-of throw Ahsoka and Obi-Wan in there as different reactions to Anakin, too. With Ahsoka as someone who sort-of clings to who Anakin used to be and can't truly reconcile the two versions of him that she knew, and Obi-Wan as someone who rises above. Unlike Leia, he did know and love Anakin, but he is also able to let go of his anger and betrayal and accept Anakin for what he is now rather than pining for someone who no longer exists. And Ahsoka is the opposite of Luke as someone who also knew Anakin and loved him, but struggles a lot MORE with the revelation of who he was and his impact on her life. Everyone approaches Anakin and his relationship to them and his choices in a different way.

I wish the Ahsoka show wanted to explore any of that at all lol.

"Val, are you sure you are ok?" Silvia asks me.

"I am. I may not be able to breathe and all my joints hurt as if I've run a marathon, but I'm fine. Go and have fun."

"Ok… But if you start feeling worse, will you call someone?"

"I will, don't worry. Now leave" I say, moving my arm. Or trying to.

"Alright. Good."

"Silvia, go."

"I'm going, I'm going. I just hate seeing you like this."

"I'll survive. Now go."

"Ok. Try to rest, Val" she says, patting my head. "And maybe wash your hair."

"Yeah, yeah."

Five minutes later, someone rings the bell.

"Urgh" I groan, getting up from the sofa. "What did you forget now, Sil… Rosy!" I gasp when I see the person standing in front of me.

"Hello, Val" Pedri's mum smiles.

"What… what are you doing here?"

"I had plans to come visit next weekend, but Pedri told me you were sick, and I decided to come early and take care of you."

"That's… I mean…"

"He said you were struggling, that it was a really bad cold. When you are that sick you need to be pampered, and there is nothing like a mother for that. And since things with yours aren't the best right now…"

"Yeah…" 

"She'll come around, you'll see" Rosy smiles. "Anyway, can I come in?"

"Yes, of course. Sorry for keeping you waiting."

"Don't worry. This is for you" she says, showing me the huge bouquet of flowers she was carrying. "I guess you know who sent them."

"I do, yes" I chuckle.

"Who knew my son had such good taste, uh? He had never sent me flowers until he met you."

"Really?" 

"Yep. You've brought up the best in him, Val. I already told you."

"I… I…" I mumble, my cheeks on fire. Though maybe that's my fever coming back.

"Now, why don't you sit down while I put these on water? You need to rest."

"Yes, of course."

"I'm also going to make you some lunch, you've probably been eating really bad."

"There is no need, Rosy."

"I insist" she says. "I've come here to take care of you, and that includes feeding you. And I'm also going to make you some homemade remedies that I know will help with that cold."

"You are too kind" I say with a shy smile.

"Anything for you, Val" she replies, taking my hand on hers. "You are my son's girlfriend, the woman he loves the most. Well, the one he loves the most after me, of course" she laughs. "You are family."

"Thank you." Don't cry, Valeria. Don't cry.

"So go lay down on the sofa and don't worry about anything else, ok?"

"Ok" I nod.

"And oh, wait" she says, taking a box from the bag she is carrying. "He also gave me this for you. He said it would hopefully make you feel better."

"Thank you" I smile, taking it and sitting down while she starts rummaging around the kitchen.

The box is just one of the hundreds of Adidas boxes Pedri has around the house, but he's written my name on it and drawn hearts all around it. 

When I open it, it is full of my favourite chocolates and sweets. From kinder eggs to Mars bars and gummy bears. And under all that, there is a small photo album, P⁠♡V written on the cover. 

"So cheesy" I chuckle.

Inside it, on the first page, there is a note. 

You already know 14 is our number. And not because your team has 14 Champions League trophies. 14 is our number because that's the day we met. The day I met the woman of my dreams. And on this little album, I've put 14 of the many reasons why I love you and 14 photos of us together. From our first selfie together on my beach, that now is ours, to the last one the other day being silly when we were stuck in traffic. I hope they make you feel better and as if I'm there with you, taking care of you. My mum's cooking is good too, but nothing like your favourite kid 😉 Get well soon, Val. I love you 🤍

"Val, do you have a… Oh my God, Valeria. Are you ok? Why are you crying?" Rosy says, sitting next to me.

"Did you know that your son is the cutest human being the world has ever seen?"

"I knew he was cute, but that cute…" she laughs. "Did he make that for you?" she asks, nodding towards the photo album.

"He did. He put photos of us together and wrote under each one a reason why he loves me."

"Aww, that is cute. Very romantic."

"And cheesy" I chuckle. "But I love it. And him. I love him so much…"

"Oh, come here" Rosy says, hugging me while I start to cry. "He also loves you very much, you know?"

"That's what he says."

"And he doesn't lie. I'm his mother, I know him better than anyone. And I also know he couldn't have chosen a better person to spend his life with."

"Even if I'm older than him?" I say, moving to look at her.

"Even so" she replies, wiping away some of my tears. 

"I wish my mum would understand it the way you do. Because this is real. My feelings for Pedri are very real. You say I bring up the best in him, but he does the same with me. Never in my life have I felt more me than I do now, and it's all thanks to him. He has helped me find my true self, to be completely happy with who I am and my life. But my mum only sees the age gap and that he is a football player, though she didn't mind that when she thought I was dating Ferran. She doesn't see that I am the happiest I've ever been."

"But she will. She just needs time."

"That's what Pedri told me after that disaster of first lunch we had together, but... We've never had a good relationship, you know? I've always felt like she blames me for ruining her life."

"Oh, Val. Don't say that."

"But it's true. My dad left her the moment he found out she was pregnant and we've never heard about him again. She had to give up on her dreams and her career to raise me."

"And I'm sure that if I asked her, she would tell me that you've been the best thing that has ever happened to her and that she would do it all over again."

"I don't know…" I sigh.

"She would, Val. Because she's raised an amazing woman, one to be very proud of."

"You are gonna make me cry again" I chuckle.

"And I may cry with you too" Rosy laughs. "But you need to be patient with her, Val. You know this relationship isn't what people are used to."

"If I was dating a man 10 years older, they would not judge me this much."

"Oh, they would. But not for the same reasons."

"Yeah, true" I chuckle. 

"She'll come around. And if she doesn't, you know you will always have me."

"Thank you, Rosy" I sob.

"You're welcome" she says, hugging me again. "And since I'm gonna be something like your mother… You could do with a shower, Valeria."

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry. Silvia said that I should probably wash my hair, but I've been feeling so poorly that…"

"It's ok, don't worry" Rosy chuckles. "I've smelt worse, I have two boys, remember? But why don't you shower while I finish making your lunch?"

"Yes, of course."

"Perfect" she smiles. "Also, do you have a squeezer? That's what I wanted to ask you earlier."

"Yes, on the cupboard on top of the fridge. We don't use it that much."

"Once you've tried my magical remedy for colds you will, you'll see" she winks, her gesture reminding me of Pedri. 

"Thank you, Rosy."

"What for?"

For coming today. For taking care of me. For raising that amazing son of yours. 

"Just… everything" I shrug.

"Well, you are very welcome" she smiles. "Now go shower."

"Yes, of course" I smile back before going into the bathroom.

Fluster The Flirt

Leo knows plenty of things, even if Donnie likes to disagree. He can make plans, charm his way out of most trouble, and he's pretty confident in his ability to play medic. One thing he doesn't know, surprisingly, is romance.

So when he fell for you (and he fell /hard/) he had absolutely no idea what to do. So.. he did the only thing he really knew /how/ to do. Flirt. Badly Flirt.

Of course you had to catch on eventually. And fortunately for him, eventually would be sooner than he thought.

You were hanging in the arcade with the boys one saturday afternoon, when suddenly Leo was leaning himself against your back, and grinning that dumb fucking grin of his.

So you sighed, turning your head a bit to give Leo the attention he so obviously desired.

"Hello my wonderful and brilliant friend. How are we on this fine evening?" He asked, moving his arms to rest over your shoulders, just barely stopping himself from cuddling up to you entirely.

Raph gave him an odd look from across the room. "Leo, it's noon."

You watched as Leo's expression quickly shifted to a glare in Raph's direction. "Hush. Let them answer." And in an instant his attention was back on you, blinking up at you with his big puppy eyes.

You hummed, reaching up to gently pat Leo's arm, your silent request for him to remove himself from your shoulders. "I'm fine Leo. Just watching Mikey and Don play.. whatever they're playing? Honestly I haven't been paying attention."

"Well to fill you in!" Donnie cut in, right as Leo (a bit reluctantly) detangled himself from you, "Mikey is currently being beaten to a pulp by yours truly!"

"Not for long!" Mikey exclaimed, before pressing some long sequence of buttons, resulting in Donnie letting out a long string of indignant bird like noises.

You smiled and rolled your eyes at them, before turning back to Leo. "Yeah, that's what I'm up to. Barely paying attention to Dee's annoyed squawks."

"Hey!"

Leo hummed and nodded, both of you ignoring Donnie's offended exclamation.

"So.. what I'm hearing is, you're free to hang out?" He asked, leaning a bit more into your personal space.

You smiled and hummed, crossing your arms and tilting your head at him.

"I guess I am. Why? You wanna ask me out?" You didn't even realize what you were saying until it had already come out of your mouth. And instantly your heart dropped to your stomach, dread filling the empty space.

But then Leo's smile wobbled, and so did he. He almost fell forward, but quickly pulled himself back up to his feet, and if you weren't mistaken, you could've sworn you'd seen a blush on his face.

"Uh well, uhm, if you- uh-" he stumbled over his words, silently cursing himself as he tried to get out even a single sentence.

You blinked, watching as he averted his gaze to the floor between the both of you. And as he continued to stumble over himself, you came to a sudden realization.

He liked you. He liked you just as much, if not more, than you liked him.

You smiled as Leo finally pulled himself together enough to look at you again, a more nervous version of his usual grin on his face.

"Well.. yknow uh, it could be.. a.." he trailed off, and you hummed.

"Sure."

He blinked, looking at you with wide eyes. "..seriously?"

"Mhm. Sure. How does tonight sound?" You asked, watching as he slowly bobbed his head in a nod.

"Uh yeah- Yeah! Yeah sure! That's cool, great even, awesome!" He grinned, balling his hands into fists at his sides, just barely keeping his excitement in check.

"Cool, uhm.." you glanced over at the others, noting that they were all crowded around the arcade game, paying no mind to the two of you.

You smiled and turned back to Leo, "Meet me at the park by the library." You hummed and quickly grabbed one of Leo's fists, pressing a quick kiss to the back of his hand before turning and quickly making your way out of the lair.

You were too embarrassed to stick around, so you rushed home as quick as you could. But in your haste, you missed the way Leo gaped at his hand after you kissed it, the wide lovestruck stare he gave you as you scurried off, and the way he jumped and squealed and celebrated as soon as he was in the comfort of his room.

Surely the date you hastily planned would be one to remember, but for now you could both simply relish in the excitement and anxiety that new love brought.
