“Baby I know it’s super last minute but if you don’t mind and if you want, do you think you’d wanna be in one of the skits?”

Jack managed to say before running back over and changing into another costumes. He was out of breath from running around and all of the different costume changes but he loved it.

Jack was Hosting and Performing for SNL everything was hectic but a good kind of hectic the smile he had on his face never fell or left since the show started.

“You want me to be in a skit? Why.”

“Well I know how much you love watching the show baby and I asked Kenan and he said you can join one of my skits I’m in.”

“What will I wear? And I don’t even know the lines, I don’t even have lines actually.” Jack smirked and pulled out the perfect costume for you, your eyes widened before glaring at him playfully. He smirked and nodded his head slowly.

“Oh no I’m not wearing that no fucking way.”

“Come on baby I think this will be the perfect costume and it’s called improv baby just make anything up.”

“What skit is this Urban?” Maggie was beyond thrilled and proud of Jack this entire year he’s been winning and achieving so much she couldn’t be anymore more prouder.

“I think it’s the one that Jack dresses up as a giant tampon.” Urban laughed and Maggie looked at him horrified.

“A giant tampon? Out of everything, well that should be a really interesting thing to watch.” Maggie went back to talking with Jack’s grandparents while Urban and Sunni busted out into a fit of giggles.

“Oh it’s definitely going to be something very interesting to see.”

“Very interesting indeed.” Sunni added on.

“Okay, is everyone ready? Let’s go out there and do this shit.. by the way nice costume Y/N.” Kenan laughed and went back to the side of the curtain.

“See baby I told you this costume is the perfect costume and you kind of match with me.”

“I just hope Maggie doesn’t get a heart attack or something seeing me in this.”

“She’ll love it trust me baby.”

“Curtain is opening in 3..2..1.�� The curtain opened up, you watched how all the actors got “interviewed” and did their skits, you were beyond happy and proud of Jack he’s achieved so much this year, you knew he was super nervous about tonight but he’s been killing it so far.

“Okay Jack you’re going to go out first and then Y/N we’ll introduce you before you walk out.” Your started rubbing your hands down your costume something you always did when you were nervous, Jack noticed and took your hand in his.

“You got this baby I’ll be right there with you the entire time.” He leaned down and attempted to press a kiss to your lips but the giant string that stuck out of his tampon costume made it a bit difficult.

“We’ll save the kiss for later.” You laughed and he nodded his head in agreement.

“You’re on Jack.” Mike the director whispered.

“Tina! Remember we said we were wishing he’d show up tonight! And he did it’s a frat guy dressed as a tampon!” One of the actors on the show said as Jack walked onto set, everyone immediately erupted in laughter.

“What up! What up! Sigmaaa sigmaaa.” Jack yelled out loud in his frat boy voice, Jack had to take a second to pause or else he would’ve broke character.

“How are you tonight?”

“Oh, I’m chillin bro sigmaaaa!!” Jack yelled out loud and did the Shaka wave that all surfers do.

“Alrighttt sigma, but now I have to ask, how has the costume gone over?”

“Well you know women who are like smart are like disgusted by me but everyone else the vibe it’s giving it’s chilling and you know.”

“And do you have any plans for tonight!”

“Actually yeah I was going to go out and you know get into some legal trouble see a few baddies you know the vibes.”

“Wow well that just sounds amazing!”

“Y/N you’re on.” The director told you and you waddled into the set, here goes nothing. You told yourself.

“Did you say see a few baddies? You aren’t seeing any other baddies but me!” Jack and David immediately broke out of character and started laughing seeing you dressed as a pad.

Jack had to turn around because he simply couldn’t contain his laughter.

“Oh no what’s wrong Frat boy?” The “news” anchor asked Jack.

“I just.” He laughed “I just fuck I mean, Baby what are you like doing downstairs?” He laughed his cheeks turning a bright pink.

“Is that Y/N dressed as a pad!” Maggie laughed out loud.

“Is sure it.” Urban laughed.

“Babe! Like go back upstairs gosh babe I swear I thought I told you stay with Kevin?”

“You did! But all your lame and drunk friends were like totally messing up the vibe.” Jack sighed dramatically and tossed his hands up well somewhat did.

“You see I’m in a interview right babe gosh!! You’re always messing up the fun.” Jack was starting to break character he tried his best not to but seeing him dressed as a tampon and you dressed as a pad was honestly sending him.

“You know what I’m totally done with you!”

“Babe wait up! You know this tampon costume doesn’t make me walk fast.” Everyone laughed watching the two of you waddle off the stage.

“Wow you both did so good, especially you Y/N.” Kenan congratulated the two of you.

“Thank you Kenan it was actually really fun being out there.”

“I’m glad you had a great time, I’ll let you two change.” Kenan gave Jack and You a quick hug before going back on stage.

“Looks like you killed it after all baby, all that stressing for what.” You rolled your eyes at Jack and took off your costume before helping him out of it.

He sat back on one of the couches in his dressing room before patting his lap wanting you to sit on him and you did, wrapping your arms around his shoulders he rested his hands on your thighs.

“I’m so proud of you Jack you honestly have no idea, you’ve achieved so much this year and it isn’t even over yet.” He grinned and gave your lips a quick kiss.

“Thank you baby it means a lot hearing those words come from you. I just can’t wait for this to be over though.”

“Why is that?” A devilish grin appeared on Jack’s face.

“You should know why baby girl. I think once we get back to the hotel I deserve a little treat for all my good work.” You pulled back and placed your hands on your hips.

“Oh is that so?”

“Hmm what do you say?” You thought about it for a second just to tease and play with him before running your fingers across his chest, grabbing his face softly and making him look directly at you, your lips hovering over his.

“I say.. yes I’ll let you have a special treat tonight.”

Films that don't hide John's queerness

The problem with MOST biopic and Beatles/John Lennon documentaries is that they ignore John's bisexuality. As a rule, it's only talked about his interest in women.

Fortunately, there are exceptions to this rule <3

The Beatles Secrets: It's a docu about Beatles "dirty secrets" (ugh, what a cringe name): sex, drugs ect. 38:32 - Royston Ellis (a bisexual poet), talking about Hamburg years: "I took John back to the flat where I was living with a girl and she, myself and John, we spent the night together. And the reason for this was not just the sex side but I'd written a poem which John liked and in there was a line: "I long to have on black leather sheets and ride motorcycles between your thighs". Well, we didn't have any black leather sheets, we had to make with black polythene and black oil skins".

The Hours and Times: A 1991 drama film about John and Brian's journey to Barcelona in 1963. Christopher Münch (director and screenwriter) points out that this is his imaginary scenario. The main characters are presented in a very interesting and nuanced way. For example, Lennon is most likely queer and would like to try "something more" with Epstein, but ends up "only" kissing him, possibly due to internalized homophobia. He makes derogatory comments about gays also openly, which fits in with real John's 1971 statement : "The fag in me made me feel insecure". Here you'll find other interesting thougths about The Hours and Times.

3. Two of us

The film, whose director Michael Lindsay-Hogg, who knew the Beatles live, tried to present the Lennon-McCartney relationship in a nuanced way.

The elevator scene is very popular in the McLennon fandom: John and Paul tease by simulating a fight, and suddenly John grabs Paul and kisses him on the lips. Paul pushes John away and asks, "Is my name Brian?"

Earlier, I thought unequivocally that this scene depicts sexual harassment: a kiss without the consent. I still think so often. However, this can also be seen in a different way - the movie John and Paul flirt, touching, as the real Lennon and McCartney used to do. The kiss was part of this flirt. When Paul definitely showed he didn't want it, John didn't push. I don't know how to settle this.

That's why I prefer a different, more unambiguous McLennon scene. John and Paul consider accepting the SNL invitation. Paul isn't sure: "We haven't played together for ages!". John strikes him lightly with his fist: "Come on, it's like screwing! Once you've done it, you never forget it!".

This moment reminds me of this quote where Paul compares songwriting to sex.

What was your dream job growing up?

For most of my childhood, my dream job was to be a cast member on SNL. I was an EXTREMELY energetic kid (hello, undiagnosed ADHD!), willing to do a lot of weird, kooky stuff to make my friends and family laugh. My nickname in elementary school was literally "druggie," because a lot of kids saw my antics and joked that I must be "smoking crack." 😳 🙄 Ah, the 90s.

By the time I was a teenager, I was still very interested in performing, and I was indeed a theater nerd. But while I loved performing, I couldn't stand the politics of high school theater. I stayed in drama class all through high school, but eventually stopped acting in plays because the joy of drama was getting lost in all of the, ahem, "drama."

I grew up in a very musical household. My dad was a professional opera singer for years, and we had a grand piano in our living room. I sang in choirs all throughout my childhood (later on, I was even in choir for a year at the University of North Texas, which has a fantastic classical and baroque music program). I started taking piano lessons at 5 years old, switched to guitar at 13, and picked up mandolin at 17. I never excelled at any particular instrument, because I never cared much for the technical or music theory side of things. I understood the basics and I could read sheet music, but when I "practiced," I was noodling around with cool sounds and vibes, not pursuing some kind of Whiplash-esque level of craft in musicianship.

Thus, as my adolescent existential dread set in, my "dream job" morphed into being a recording musician. I was constantly writing songs. They weren't necessarily good, but I was prolific, at least.

My teenage years were also when my genetically-predisposed depression began to set in. I was a really, really depressed teenager, but I hid it very well. Except for in my music! All through high school I spent countless nights in school (yes, school nights🙃) where I would stay up until 4 a.m. writing and recording songs on my little digital 4-track. I played a lot of open mic nights and a couple ticketed shows.

This was back in the days of music myspace, and I had a teensy following on there. I made friends with other young indie musicians all over the country (Luke Rathborne and Samantha Crain are two who come to mind, and they're both recording artists to this day 🤗). Other musicians who gave me feedback would often compare my singer-songwriter sounds to some combination of Cat Power, Fruit Bats, and Elliott Smith. That probably gives you a good idea of the depths of my teen angst, LMAO. I stopped writing and recording music when I was in college. I didn't lose interest in music as a hobby, but I lost interest in making it my primary form of creative self-expression. As I got older I realized that music was incredibly personal for me, a tool I used to process my various life experiences, good and bad -- and once I realized that, I didn't really have any interest in pursuing a career in music.

Obviously the common theme with all of this is the element of performance! I've always been a creative extrovert, so to me it totally makes sense that I gravitated toward my current career - especially once I discovered that exhibitionism is a significant component in my personal sexual identity. Being in the adult industry is kind of the perfect combination of everything, because as an adult content creator I have the freedom and the fan base to (mostly) do whatever I want.

What you just explained is why I am always baffled when I see people shipping her with je in this day and age. From what we've seen she wants certain things in a relationship and he fell short or doesn't care to meet those expectations. Why don't they want my girl Z to be fulfilled in her relationship? Idk why some ppl are confused with Zendaya's love for him. He's nice-looking, he's successful, he has a nice body lol, he treats her right, he's like her BEST friend, he's charismatic, he's charming, he's not a bum, he works hard, he's a good person, and he isn't afraid of her success or letting her shine. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I would choose Tom ANY day of the week over JE based on what I've heard about him as a bf, and just what I've observed about how he treats ppl too. 🥴

He may have grown up and changed now days, so I won't hold smthg against somebody indefinitely, but to me, there's really nothing about JE that would make me choose him over Tom in a lineup lol.

JE doesn't even really seem like a kind person to me, which is smthg that I value first and foremost in a man... and just in people in general.

you gave me the hard question!! :( someone else asked me the same question so it's not as hard though, I won't have to narrow it down as much. Today's theme is resources! I am recommending @antiracist-tolkien because the blog has such a good collection of meta and general information. I go weeks sometimes not logging on or scrolling much and I miss so many good posts, so I really appreciate the dedication to running an archive blog of that sort! @tolkien-meta-library fills a similar niche; I'm so paranoid about missing The Definitive Treatise on something or other. I'm also recommending @expertsofarda because if you're not plugged into the silmarillion writers guild discord or don't already have beta readers or mutuals with niche knowledge, this is an excellent place to see who might be able to answer a question of yours. You don't even have to message ppl; just knowing who knows what means tag searching their blog might yield results.

6. Ship or platonic relationship that you got into because of the fans

I think this is a tie between hurin/morwen(/aerin) courtesy of outofangband and idril/tuor/maeglin courtesy of jaz-the-bard! polar opposite pairings, to be sure. The former is because I had no knowledge of the narn and had simply failed to appreciate how cool morwen is (I have since learned the error of my ways). The latter .... tfog was really hard for me to engage with personally for a long time so it was actually really nice to see what the rest of the fandom was up to in terms of putting the puzzle pieces together, deciding what to keep, what to modify, etc. It's about the balancing of it, I think? idril/tuor was not so interesting to me on its own, and idril/maeglin was unbalanced and sad. I think a lot of the ships I'm interested in are some variation of having deep interpersonal conflict but also deep love. shrugs. (I've given maeglin the curufin blorbo treatment - it's the being your father's shadow for me).

Umm I actually really like Maedhros (No one could guess from my AO3 works /sarcasm). I don't think bad takes are super unique to him as a character; greater popularity and greater emotional attachment are positively correlated with woobification, and greater popularity is positively correlated with more takes and thus more bad takes. *snl reaction image* he has everything: pain, killing instinct, self-destructiveness, appeasement, love, hatred, duplicitousness, self-serving nature, hope beyond hope, trans of gender. He's not the only one to have these characteristics, but I also like fucked up and evil men. I can't list any of the other feanorians bc they don't come close for popularity.

But to give a second, evasive, answer: I feel like I do talk about this a fair amount, but it always makes me super nervous to write/post trans porn because ... idk I feel like people treat it like it's extra-perverse or extra-explicit, but like. That's just my life. I am simply just vibing yaknow? Or just, generally explicit fic. Because on the one hand I feel like it's very revealing and I feel weird exposing my sex life to people - not because I feel inhibited but rather that people will maybe find it odd. And on the other, I feel like there's a kind of narrow window past which you go from "freak (appreciative)" to "freak (derogatory)" and that window is vanishingly small for unpopular characters, queer freaks (moi), and kink.
