Part 1 - Goodnight (Love)

Summary: Your partnered mission with Park Jimin doesn't exactly go as planned, and you can't tell if it's for better or for worse. Your friend, Jungkook, is leaning towards the "worse" side, and consequently, you are too. How can Jimin fix this if he doesn't know what changed in the first place? Or: Jimin was doing fine, then he met you.

A/N: Hi hello hey!!! Sorry this took forever, I had it all laid out but I've been running around like crazy everywhere and I hadn't had time to finish it. Here it is though! I hope this lives up to any expectations you may have had for the continuation of "Goodnight Love". The title (and the chapter overall) is inspired by Matt Maltese's album "Good Morning It's Now Tomorrow" and there's a reference from one of his songs in the summary jeje. Anyways, enjoy!!! A good night's sleep was highly unfamiliar to you. Which is why you considered that maybe you were still dreaming when you woke up this morning. Everything around you is comfortably warm: the sun softly hitting your face, the sheets soft on your skin, the arms wrapped securely around yo–

The arms wrapped securely around you?!

You tense a bit before all the memories of your previous day resurface.

"You're safe, okay?” Jimin's voice was soft, feeling the way his chest vibrates against your head that's now tucked under it only helped calm you further.

Everything around you felt warm and tender, lulling you into deep sleep.

The last thing your brain manages to process is a soft kiss on your forehead, and words that sound a lot like: "Goodnight, love."

Part of you knows that you should probably get up, that you shouldn't be letting yourself enjoy this, but opening your eyes and finding Jimin so closely – the thought of pulling away tugs at your chest.

You're not sure how long you spend silently memorizing the lines on his face before you feel him shift and turn.

This is your cue to hide, pretend to be asleep, or something, how embarrassing would it be if he caught you staring–

"Hi, Y/N. I know you're up."

Oh my god you're busted. You're gonna die of embarrassment, and the raspiness in Jimin's voice is not helping you whatsoever.

Knowing you can't hide from him any longer, you shyly peek out from his chest.

"How did you know I was awake?"

Jimin smiles at you before responding to your question.

"You tensed up for a while. And I can also feel you burning holes into my face with your stare."

Your feel your face burning from the embarrassment of being caught, and it gets impossibly hotter when Jimin pushes a strand of hair off your face.

He chuckles at your flustered state before pulling you back into him.

"You sleep well?"

You don't push him away when he tugs you even closer, instead you just nod your head yes at his question.

You truly did sleep well — probably the best sleep you've gotten in a really long time.

Waking up like this, it felt easy. Things have never been simple for you, but this, this feels simple, natural. Easy.

You like this side of Jimin. A lot.

Suddenly, you become aware of the sunlight filling up your room and remember that you're gonna have to get up and leave soon.

"Jimin?" You try to leave his embrace but he only pulls you into him again with a tired groan.

"We have to get up." You try and fail again.

"Just a few more minutes." Realizing that there's no fighting him on this, you decide to give in and get comfortable.

Neither you or Jimin want to acknowledge the feelings behind your want to stay like this as long as time allowed you to.

After a few moments, you reluctantly begin to untangle yourself from his embrace. The whine that leaves Jimin stops you in your tracks - why would he want to keep holding you?

You shake your head and refocus on the fact that you have to get up.

"Jimin, we really do have to get going now."

"But it's so comfy."

This guy was going to be the death of you.

"Come on, get up. I'll make breakfast and you pack."

A long sigh leaves his lips before he unwraps himself from you and sits up to stretch. The cold that greets you as Jimin's embrace leaves makes your heart fall uncomfortably, but its just because you want to keep sleeping. That's why. Mhm.

The rest of the morning goes smoothly, and you both try to ignore how warm your hearts feel at the domesticity of it all.

The car ride held the same softness, and it had you thinking that maybe it wasn't the hotel, or the mission, maybe this softness was growing between you and Jimin on its own, independent to circumstances.

Jimin hummed quietly as he drove, and you tapped along with your fingers.

Decidedly, you spoke up:

"Jimin?"

"Hm?"

"Can you do me a favor?"

"What can I do for you princess?"

"Can you um- maybe not tell anyone about what happened at the event? Y'know, with the guy?"

Jimin frowns at the implication that he would purposely go around sharing something so personal about you, but again, he understands that he's in no position to question you. It's not like he hasn't given you a reason to doubt him.

"Of course, don't worry about that."

"Thanks."

"I know we got off on the wrong foot but, I wouldn't do that to you."

You smile at him tenderly because you know, and he smiles back because he knows you know.

Once you arrive back at your designated building, you report to Seokjin and Namjoon right away.

They go over the files and any other information you two gathered while there.

"Great work guys. See, I knew you 2 would make one hell of a duo."

Namjoon's smile is radiant as he talks to you, and it draws out one of your own.

You don't notice how Jimin stops to look at you, his lips curving upward and his eyes sparkling; this is the first time he's seen you this happy.

Jin and Namjoon do catch it though, and they share a knowing look - something more had happened on that weekend, and whatever it was, it brought you two together.

"All right well you guys can go back to work. Nothing too heavy, just reformat some codes we missed over the weekend. Take your lunch whenever you want, and if you want to go home early just stop by and let us know that you're leaving."

"Thank you."

"No need. You both have worked really hard, if we weren't behind I'd basically force you two to go back home and rest."

You leave the office feeling satisfied; being reassured that you did a good job made you feel much lighter about everything that had happened.

"Well, I guess we gotta get working."

Jimin strikes up conversation, and it's a little awkward, but he finds it all the more endearing.

"Yeah."

"Oh, Y/N. I was wondering if you wanted to have lunch together? Today? Like at 12? It's okay if you don't want to, I mean, I know we just spent like 3 days stuck together but-"

"12 sounds good. I'll meet you at your office?"

"Yeah. Okay, yeah! See you then."

So much for being smooth, Jimin.

"Y/N! Hey!"

You turn around to see a happy Jungkook making his way towards you.

He was like your activation key for energy, having been friends for about a year now helped you grow comfortable around him, enough to show how you were feeling.

"Hi Jungkook!"

"What's got you in such a cheery mood?"

"How do you know that I'm in a cheery mood?" You challenge him.

"You were practically skipping to your office. It's obvious you're giddy about something."

"Oh, I'm just glad the mission went well. It's good to be back."

Jungkook smiled at your cheery mood, but you could tell he wanted to say something – he's never been good at hiding his facial expressions.

"You look a bit constipated, Kook. What's up?"

"Oh, nothing, I'll tell you later."

Your narrow your eyes at him, he knows you hate when people do the whole 'we'll talk later' thing.

"Seokjin and Namjoon told me I could take it easy today, I have time. Now, spill."

He sighs before turning to walk to his office, "come on."

He closes the door behind you and takes a seat on the couch in the room, motioning for you to sit with him.

"So, your mission went well?"

"Yeah, it did. I mean, it was rough in the beginning but we made it work."

"You and Jimin, are you like ... friends now?"

The way Jungkook is staring at you makes you feel as though you're a kid again, about to he told off by your parents over something that had excited you.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that. He actually asked me to have lunch with him today. I think once you break through his shell he's actually a really sweet guy."

Jungkook swears he saw your eyes sparkle when you mentioned having lunch with Jimin, and that only made his frown grow.

"Y/N, I don't want to pop your balloons but, I'm pretty sure Jimin's been spreading shit about you and how the mission went."

You feel the air leave your lungs in one go as you process his words, Jimin's doing what?

"No offense Jungkook but, how do you know that? He wouldn't do that. He promised it stayed between us."

A sigh leaves his lips and you refuse to let yourself falter; Jimin wouldn't do that.

"Was there anyone else from our company with you guys?"

"No. Why?"

"There's word going around that you pussied out of the mission and Jimin had to save both of your asses last minute, basically saying he did all the work and you just sat and watched."

For the second time in the span of a few minutes, you felt like the oxygen was sucked out of your lungs.

"Well, those are just rumors, right? We don't know if it was him who said those things."

"People have been mentioning the files and Jimin having to get you from inside the building because you couldn't do it. Who else would have all of that information?"

Oh.

"Well that's not what happened. He can spread all the rumors he wants because we both know that they're not true. Namjoon and Seokjin do too."

Jungkook shoots you a concerned look - you're taking this too well and it's throwing him off.

"So you're okay? You don't want to report it or anything?"

"Nah I'm good, it's not worth entertaining."

Jimin feels as though he might go insane waiting for you during his lunch break.

He'd gone from one extreme to the other trying to figure out why you haven't shown up.

Were you okay? Did something happen? Did you decide to blow him off? Maybe asking you to lunch was a mistake-

No. Jimin thinks. I am not going to assume the worst. I'll just call her.

He smiles to himself while thinking what a good idea that was.

When he calls you, he's not sure what hurts his ears more: the rapid beating of his heart, or the continuous ringing as you don't pick up the phone.

The line cuts off and his stomach sinks as he realizes that you hung up.

But Jimin knew better than to get ahead of himself, obviously.

So he decided that he'll just swing by your office.

On his way there, he can't help the jitters that shake through his body. He's trying to keep his brain from creating the worst case scenarios, but he's not sure he's succeeding.

The ring of the elevator shakes Jimin out of his thoughts and back onto the task at hand, but not before he runs into someone.

As he's about to apologize, but the man (who he now recognizes as Jungkook) is already walking away before he can even begin.

He knew you guys were friends and he hated that he knew that he probably knew where you were.

"Oh- Hi, sorry to bother, Jungkook right?"

Jungkook simply replies with a curt nod and moves to continue walking before Jimin interrupts him again.

"Um- do you happen to know if Y/N is in her office?"

He stops again in his tracks, but this time he sends a challenging look towards Jimin.

"Why do you ask?"

"Oh I just- we were supposed to meet up during our lunch break and she didn't show up. So I just wanted to check if she was okay."

"She's fine, you can go back to your own thing now."

"Oh is she busy? I can come back later the-"

Jungkook puts up a hand to stop Jimin's rambling, and for a second, stares him down.

"Look, I know you've been spreading rumors about Y/N and taking all the credit for your recent case, and she knows it too. So if you have any dignity left in you, I suggest you turn around and leave her alone and stop running your goddamn mouth. Do you hear me?"

Jimin feels his mouth go dry at the information that's just been laid out to him.

Someone was spreading rumors about you? And you thought it was him?

"I haven't spread anything though? I haven't even told anyone what went down except Namjoon and Seokjin and only because I'm required to. I don't know who told you that and who's been spreading shit but I would never do that to Y/N."

A bitter chuckle escapes Jungkook's lips, and if Jimin wasn't so caught up with the worry of you thinking he would do something like that, he'd probably cuss him out for it.

"You're more of an asshole than I thought. You can't even own up to your immature games."

"I just told you, I didn't do anyth-"

"I'm only gonna say it one more time. Turn your ass around and walk the fuck away before I do something rash."

Knowing that arguing with Jungkook won't get him anywhere, Jimin puts his hands in the air to signal his leave.

"Fine. But I know that I'm telling the truth. And Y/N will too."

Jimin spends a few moments (like 3 hours) debating back and forth whether he should text you or not.

Finally, he flips a coin.

The coin says yes.

Jimin: hey, can we talk?

Jimin: preferably in person, i need to clear some things up

Ouch.

It's at this point that Jimin knows he absolutely needs to find who spread those lies about you, and he needs to do it now.

Was there someone at the event that he didn't see but they saw them?

Did someone overhear the meeting you both had with your bosses?

But both of you were so careful with every little detail. How could have anything slipped?

Jimin paces around the room desperately trying to figure out what might've happened, when he remembers one thing he did amidst the panic:

Yeonjun. Jimin told him what was happening.

Oh shit.

But, would he do something like that? He doesn't seem like the type to stoop so low.

But it's a possibility, which means Jimin is at least one step closer to finding the root of the rumors.

Jimin: Yeonjun, hey

When you're not busy can we meet up

Yeonjun: yeah of course

I'll be done with work in about an hour

Jimin: cool cool

Meet me at the cafe across the street from the company building

Yeonjun: okay see you soon

Jimin has downed two entire cups of coffee while waiting for Yeonjun.

The more he thinks about it, the more it makes sense that he's the one that said something. (It also makes him angrier, if he wasn't taking deep breaths he's sure he would've broken the mug in his grip by now).

Just as he's debating whether or not a 3rd cup would make things worse, the bell of the cafe rings and he looks up to see Yeonjun walking towards him.

"Hey Jimin! Good to see ya! How's it going?"

"Hi, good, look I have some questions and I need you to be completely honest."

Jimin knows it's rude to just brush over formalities but he's frankly too bothered to care.

"You know the case I just came back from? The one with Y/N?"

"With the old dude and the files?"

"Yeah."

"Yeah. Why?"

"Did you say anything? Even any little detail?"

Yeonjun pauses for a moment, as if trying to make memory before he continues.

"Hm, I don't think I really said anything except when I talked to Leah. You know the one with curly hair in my floor? The one who has a huge crush on you? Yeah, her."

Deep breaths Jimin. You can't fight someone younger than you, and on your team.

"What exactly did you tell her?"

"She asked me if I had heard from you about how the mission went, and I told her that you were back and that I was checking in from the main building. She asked me how it went and I told her that it went well for you, but not so much for Y/N."

"What do you mean 'not so much for Y/N'?"

"I gassed you up dude. Told her how Y/N was too scared to just talk to some old man and you had to step in and do all the work."

"You said what?"

"That Y/N was too sca-"

"I heard you the first time, dipshit. Why the hell would you say that?"

"Well that's what happened isn't it?"

"No! Y/N wasn't 'too scared' she was in fucking danger! I couldn't just leave her there."

"All she had to do was flirt with a guy long enough to get into his room, how is that dangerous?"

Jimin was seeing red at this point. He's sure that if it were possible, smoke would be blowing out of his ears and nose. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"You're fucking kidding me, right?"

"I thought you didn't like Y/N. What's the big deal?"

Jimin absolutely couldn't stomach the words coming out of Yeonjun's mouth. He couldn't.

"What's the big deal? You wanna know what the big deal is? I don't know what Leah understood from your little gossip session but word got out that Y/N 'can't do her job' and I had to do everything for her. People are spreading rumors and talking shit. And even worse, she thinks that I started it."

Both men stare at each other before Jimin's anger reignites, and he continues on:

"Y/N did more than enough, she was so fucking brave out there. That old man that she 'just had to flirt with' fucking assaulted her. God knows what else would've happened if I hadn't gone up there. You give her so much shit but I know damn well that you don't have even an ounce of the willpower she has."

The tension at Jimin's words was piercing; harsh and sudden, taking the breath out of Yeonjun's chest.

"I- I didn't know..."

"No, you didn't. But you still ran your mouth, and now she's hurt and there's gossip running around the office. And it's your job to clean the shit you made up."

Yeonjun can only swallow the knot in his throat and nod as he waits for his next words.

"You have to apologize to her and tell her what you did. Personally. And if not, I'll just tell Namjoon and Seokjin myself, and the consequences will follow accordingly. Up to you."

As he finished his speech he began to stand up, signaling that he had gotten the last word; but before he can leave, Yeonjun's voice stops him.

"I'll talk to her. I promise."

Jimin pauses and turns around for a brief second and says, "Good. Let this be a learning experience. I know it was one for me."

And with that he turns around to leave.

You were still really hurt and upset, and knowing this, Jungkook invited you to stay over at his place, understanding that being alone in your state was a terrible idea.

Jungkook was soft and kind, a model of a good friend, and you were grateful, you really were.

But even as he made sure you were comfortable, asking what you needed and if you wanted anything, you couldn't help but wish it was Jimin taking care of you again, holding you to sleep so you can rest and let go of all your worries. Protecting you from the man in your nightmares and anyone who may try to harm you.

But he wasn't Jimin, Jimin doesn't like you, he made up shit just to make you look bad.

"Y/N? Hey, what's wrong?"

You didn't realize you'd started crying until you felt the couch dip next to you, your friend leaning towards you.

"I'm still so scared, Jungkook."

"Of what?"

"He was there. On the mission. He was there."

"Who was there?"

"Do you remember where I told you I was before I moved here?"

"In the house?"

"Yeah. He was there. From the house."

"Shit." This leaves Jungkook's mouth with a hiss.

"I'm going to kill him for making you go in there."

Quick to stop Jungkook's growing anger, you argue.

"I didn't tell him anything so it's not like he knew or did it on purpose."

You pause for a moment to recollect your thoughts before continuing.

"The reason why I'm upset about what happened with Jimin is because,,, for a moment I thought he cared."

Jungkook gives you the signal to keep talking with a nod of his head.

"When things started to get out of control, he went up to get me. He didn't even think about it."

"What do you mean?"

"He could've left me there by myself, or he could've just found a way to stop him and then not mention it but he took care of me. He was so kind and gentle. He washed my hair and he calmed me when I was panicking and he waited until I was asleep to sleep too, it felt like he genuinely cared."

This shocked Jungkook – there was practically no one that managed to calm you down when you were in panic, not even him. So hearing that Jimin, out of all people, was able to still your worries, had him rethinking the entirety of the circumstances.

After a beat of silence, you speak again. Maybe for yourself, Jungkook thinks, because your next words are uttered quietly;

"I feel so stupid for thinking he actually cared about me."

Jungkook, suddenly remembering the interaction he had with Jimin earlier that day, blurts out words without thinking.

"He was looking for you today. Jimin."

You turn to him with wide eyes, and he guesses that if he already started talking, he might as well finish.

"Near the end of lunch he was looking for you. I ran into him by the elevator. He asked me if I knew where you were."

Jimin asked for you?

"And what did you tell him?"

"That it was none of his business. He didn't let it go that easily though. Said he was worried about you because you didn't show up to lunch with him or something."

Jimin was worried? About you? He was waiting for you to show up to lunch?

"Anyway I told him off, it was pissing me off that he was acting so innocent."

"How did you tell him off?"

"Basically I told him that I knew he was spreading shit about you and that he should fuck off. He kept swearing that he didn't know anything and I gotta give it to him, he's one hell of an actor. Teared up and everything."

"But Jimin never tears up."

"I know. Which is why I'm saying; bro can act."

You sat on it for some moments before speaking again.

"Do you think its possible that maybe it wasn't him?"

Surprisingly, Jungkook actually thought about it before responding.

"Well I mean, who else could've done it?"

"I don't know"

Yeah, exactly. I know you wanna have faith in him but-"

"Its just weird to me."

"I know."

⋆ ˚｡⋆୨୧˚　˚୨୧⋆｡˚ ⋆

Jimin was losing any hope he had left that you'd be willing to talk to him. No matter how much he tried, he just couldn't get a hold on you.

You, on the other hand: wouldn't say you were avoiding Jimin, just more or less calculating your schedule to minimize any possible interactions.

No, you're clearly avoiding him.

You'd started showing up earlier to work so you could be safe in your office by the time Jimin usually got there, and you'd leave a little bit later than usual so you didn't have to run into him on your way out.

To make things even harder on him, Jungkook could basically be considered your bodyguard with how he was always trailing next to you.

It isn't until Jungkook noticeably leads you the other way when you're about to pass each other in the hallway that Jimin realizes that this is practically how it was before.

Before this mission, he had absolutely no significance in your life except that you thought he hated you. Maybe he was wrong to think that things would be different when you returned. And he doesn't know if it's for the best, but he's sure that it's not how he wants to go on.

Two more days pass by and based on the way you're still avoiding Jimin as best as you can, he figures that Yeonjun probably hasn't talked to you. He's not sure how much longer he can keep waiting on him to talk to you.

At this point, he might as well just tell Namjoon and Seokjin himself. He knows this should be one of those moments where Yeonjun matures and owns up to his mistakes, but he can't bare the broken look on your face any longer.

He's decided: he sends Yeonjun a quick text, "you took too long" and makes his way to the main office, barely knocking before throwing open the door.

"Namjoon, Seokjin. There's something I'd like to report."

⋆ ˚｡⋆୨୧˚　˚୨୧⋆｡˚ ⋆

"And please, don't be too hard on Yeonjun. He's not a bad kid, he's just a bit careless at times."

"We'll keep that in mind. Thank you, Jimin."

"If it's okay, I'd like to take my leave early today."

"Of course. Have a good weekend, Min. Fighting!" Seokjin giggles at his last remark, and Namjoon sends him another glare. (All 3 men in the room know that Namjoon secretly loves when Jin makes comments like that, but they'll keep that hidden for now.)

⋆ ˚｡⋆୨୧˚　˚୨୧⋆｡˚ ⋆

You were sitting in your apartment watching the droplets run down your window, tracing the lines they leave with your finger.

Thinking back to the conversation your bosses had pulled you aside for earlier today before you went home, you didn't know how to feel.

You didn't even know that Yeonjun was overseeing your task. Did Jimin keep that from you on purpose? Did he think it didn't matter if you knew or not because of his doubts of you? Was this planned?

But then you think back to the times you'd seen him in the office, what Jungkook said, how he'd acted before, maybe this was all a big misunderstanding.

Suddenly, a glimpse of the conversation you had with Jungkook resurfaced:

— "He kept swearing that he didn't know anything and I gotta give it to him, he's one hell of an actor. Teared up and everything."

"But Jimin never tears up."

"I know. Which is why I'm saying; bro can act." —

It felt like the air was sucked out of you as it started to sink in that Jimin was probably being honest when he was talking to Jungkook. Jimin, one of the few people to show you genuine kindness and patience. Jimin, Jimin, Jimin. You had to talk to him. You had to.

Everything after your realization grows muddled together; strings of you calling Jimin frantically asking for his address and hanging up before he can even respond, you getting on your bike, somehow making it to his apartment in one piece, knocking on his door and–

"Jimin."

"Y/N?"

"I'm sorry-"

"What-"

"I'm so sorry-"

"Woah, hey, hey. Come in. You're soaked- Did you bike here? Wha-"

"It wasn't you."

Jimin's eyes soften — he knows what you're talking about.

"It wasn't me."

You let Jimin finish wrapping a towel around you until he steps back to continue speaking.

"I'm really sorry for accusing you of saying all those things without even asking you about it."

"You don't have to apolo-"

"But I do. I should've heard you out before flipping out and assuming you would do something like that to me."

"Its not like I haven't given you any reason to distrust me."

"But you've also given me reasons as to why I should trust you."

"It's okay, I'm not mad at you at all I promise. I'm sorry that you had to go through all of this."

"It's not your fault."

"It's not yours either."

A silence washes over both of you, and as you stare at each other you realize that you'd moved closer to each other to the point where you could almost feel Jimin's breath on you while you were talking.

The soft feeling from that night at the hotel begins to reappear, and Jimin cuts through the silence to let it in deeper.

"Can't believe you ran all the way here."

He gently moves a strand of wet hair out of your face, and you think if you were in a cartoon, you'd be able to see hearts flying over your head.

"I can't believe it either."

You both giggle before Jimin squeezes your shoulder and grabs you by the wrist and begins to walk.

"You're gonna get sick if you don't dry up."

"Do you really think my immune system is that weak-"

Ironically, you're cut off by a sneeze and you don't know if you're actually sick or if you really heard Jimin murmur a "cute" under his breath.

He leads you into what you assume is his room, and he lets go of your wrist only to go rummage through some drawers.

"Here are some clothes, uhm- I mean, you should change. So you don't get like, sick or anything. You can shower if you want, or you can just change your clothes- whatever works best."

You giggled at Jimin's nervous rambling, but you were equally as flustered when he handed you his clothes and you realized that you were in fact in Park Jimin's room and he was giving you his clothes to change into.

Running into the bathroom and locking the door, you expected the swirling in your stomach to settle down, but when you saw yourself in the mirror, wearing Jimin's clothes, being overtaken by his smell, your butterflies came tenfold.

Get a grip, Y/N. What are you? A high schooler?

Again, Jimin wasn't any better than you were. You walked out of the bathroom and he could've sworn he saw the light of the universe before his eyes; his shirt looked so big on you, your hair was still wet and a soft blush covered your cheeks – you were gorgeous, and he was starstruck.

Finally snapping out of his speechlessness, he walks towards you and grabs a small strand of your hair.

"Your hair's still wet."

All you can do is nod: he is so close.

"You want me to dry your hair?"

"Yeah."

Now it wasn't just butterflies flying around in your belly, there were bees and hummingbirds buzzing in there as well; maybe that night wasn't just a one time thing, maybe you'd get to feel the gentleness of his hands flowing through you again.

"Come on."

He grabs a stool and walks back into the bathroom, and you follow.

It's almost funny – how natural everything feels. You sitting down while Jimin finds a brush and the hair drier, the way he cards his fingers through your hair, even the soft stares through the mirror, both of you blushing and looking away at any eye contact.

You almost fall asleep right then and there; how could a person you so new to you make you feel this safe? You're not sure, and Jimin isn't either, but you doubt it's a bad thing. It's not a bad thing at all.

"Not sure if it's too soon but I'd like to say that this hair thing might be our thing." Jimin says as he finishes drying and brushing your hair. You smile up at him and nod, and he's so close again.

"Hold on, you have one out of place." You think you might be becoming obsessed with the gentleness of Jimin's touch, or even just Jimin himself.

Jimin can't look away from you even if he tried. He's scared he'll cross a line that you aren't ready to cross over, so he's watching you carefully to see how you're reacting. He's convinced that seeing you like this is his new favorite sight; your eyes are droopy and your shoulders are slumped, you're leaning into him (are you even aware that you're doing that?), and it makes his chest swell with what might be a mix of pride and fondness. For you to feel safe enough to let your guard down, to forgive him even after everything, it makes even the colors of the room look brighter; you make everything brighter.

The room feels still – you swear that Jimin just looked at your lips. You know you've had your fair share of mind tricks, but for once, you don't think you've imagined this.

You know you aren't imagining this when Jimin's hand leaves your hair and trails from your cheek down to your chin: this is what you mean when you say you feel like you're becoming obsessed with Jimin's touch.

The way his thumb softly traces your bottom lip shakes you all the way to your knees, and, yep. He's looking at your lips. You want to blame it on instinct, the way you lean into him and look to his lips as well, but there is not instinct teaching you this. It's Jimin, your driving force. The driving force of the lick of his lips, the change in his eyes, his breath on your skin.

You always thought the movies were overly corny when they said that kissing someone felt like fireworks exploding or like bells ringing but now you think they were downplaying it.

Kissing Jimin makes you feel alive.

He feels that you're unsure, and he pulls away at the first sign of hesitation.

You have to stop a whimper from leaving your mouth at the loss of his on your own.

"Are you okay? With this, I mean." His voice sounds the same way it did that morning when he had just woken up and it makes you even more excited. So much so that you don't know what to do with your hands, so you clutch his shirt and move him closer to you while nodding.

Jimin doesn't think you notice that a whine actually leaves your lips, and it makes him chuckle before leaning back in. He would tease you just to get more sounds out of you but he's just as needy as you seem to be, surely even more.

This time you seem more sure, more intentional, but he still takes the lead. This time it is a bit funny, how in sync you are. His lips against yours, the push and pull of your bodies, it's intoxicating.

Suddenly the thought of having to go back home and being away from Jimin pops into your head and this time you do whine. You start to kiss him more urgently, and thankfully, he kisses you with the same hunger. You're standing now but your weight is almost entirely on him. His hands are firm on your waist and yours move to the back of his neck. It's dizzying, how electric this feels.

You're the one to pull away first, feeling breathless. Jimin understands, so he cups your face with both of his hands and internally he's fighting against the urge to squish your cheeks. Instead, he plants a kiss on your forehead then puts his forehead against yours.

"Stay the night?"

"Yeah.

You know you'll talk about it later. The misunderstandings and the kisses and the butterflies and bees, but for now being close to each other is enough. You have nighttime, and you have tomorrow, and time again and again.

For now, being close to each other is enough.

(Gender Neutral) Scenario ~ A/N omg this is not a weird request at all!!! Im very happy to do this one!!!! Recently i have been seriously considering converting but idk wher to start fjkhjf sorry for taking so long!! PLS LET ME KNOW IF I SAID ANYTHING INACCURATE DEAR LORD

Trigger Warning: Religious stuff obviously, other than that just Fluff!

Alfred supports and loves you completely! His country was supposed to be a land of religious freedom, and he will defend that right to his death, goddamnit!

He has some basic knowledge of the Jewish faith, but most of the information he’s been told is horribly Christianized. A lot of is inaccurate, but rarely downright offensive. So when you correct him, he’ll end up asking a million follow-up questions. Maybe just bring him next time along you go to synagogue…

Now, anyone whose friends with him, is gonna know just as much as he does. If any religious thing gets brought up, he’s immediately trying to educate the rest of them on Judaism. It’s cute but… he’s also maybe a bit too enthusiastic. It’s like trivia night but the trivia is just things you’ve told him about your faith.

As happy as he is to spend time relaxing during Shabbat, he may get a little antsy… and a little annoying. It’s probably all that capitalist wiring messing up his brain, he’ll get used to it eventually.

Arthur has never delved deep into any religion since… well… not since the BCs. So your religion plays no part in his feelings towards you, he’d love you the same no matter what.

Even if he develops some affection for your faith, it’s unlikely he’ll be open to converting. Nothing personal, he supports you completely, it’s just… he’s just found that being religious leads to much more conflict than he prefers.

But… if you want a wedding soon, he’s all in from the start. His country is known for their weddings, remember? And now the two of you will have to somehow throw the biggest Jewish wedding in the whole of Europe. Under your guidance, of course. Really, it’s just that Arthur wants to prove something about the two of you. But at least your family will have fun. Maybe.

Most of the holidays you celebrate, he won’t join in on unless you beg. He tells you it’s because he’s a protestant (he’s not,) but really he just feels like he’s intruding on your culture. But the days spent deliberately relaxing, doing nothing but eating traditional food? He can get behind those pretty easily.

Francis sees your Jewishness as nothing more than another fascinating piece in the painting that you are. If something is important to you, it’ll become important to him too!

Depending on your devotion level, he’ll try to support you as much as possible. But if your life revolves around your faith, he may get a little concerned. I mean, being devoted is great! But your health and safety should come first as well. At least, that’s what he believes.

He himself, subscribes to no religion. Throughout the centuries, he’s passed from one to another, even being Jewish for a decade or two! But… that was also in the 200s… and he didn’t really commit. But if you want him to commit this time, he is absolutely ready to.

Oh, and the holidays? He would love to join you in observing them. Even the one which involve worship, he’ll happily do it as well, if you would want him to. He’ll even make a bunch of food to bring! Having such a strong community is something that’s really important to him, so he’d love to share that with you.

Whatever you believe in, it makes no difference to Yao. As long as you don’t think he’s going to hell, he’s cool with it… oh, you don’t believe there is a hell? Even better then!

He has seen many different belief systems rise and fall, so he’s never been that religious himself. The only thing he’s ever truly believed in were the things taught to him at birth, and even then he questions. But whatever makes sense to you, he’ll go along with it as well.

If you’re uber-devoted, it’s one of the main things he admires about you. It shows your courage and the strength of your ethics. Both traits he shares with you! Just… about different things. But if you’re not super into your faith, that’s totally fine too. That just means he doesn’t have to do as much.

As much as he loves taking things slow and enjoying the little things in life, he’s quite the workaholic at heart. After a few Shabbat weekends, he’s itching to just spend time working on his home projects. All of which are… pretty intense.

This is absolutely wonderful! Ivan would love a Jewish S/O, as he really respects the religion and culture surrounding it.

Surprisingly, for an Orthodox Christian, he’s very familiar with the faith. Especially its history with his own religion. He rationalizes the differences between you as simply different ways to worship the same thing. Whether or not that’s accurate is up for debate, but either way, he supports you fully.

He’d love to observe Shabbat with you! Setting aside time, specifically just to enjoy the peaceful, domestic beauties of life… he completely understands why this would be a holy practice. He’s a little upset his own people haven’t caught onto that yet… why doesn’t everyone do that?

He’s… very enthusiastic about the concept of marrying you. Regardless of whether his church approves or your synagogue, he believes you two can mix traditions and have the most wonderful wedding. After all, nothing about the two of you is conventional in the first place!

While Feliciano may be devout himself to another religion, he has nothing but love in his heart for yours. Your differences only bring you two closer!

Always the romantic, he’s already planning your wedding in his head. And he wants it to completely align with your faith’s traditions! He’s had plenty of his own weddings before now, so he’d love to make it special for you and your family. He’s been saving just for a grand wedding like that!

Considering how strongly Catholic he is, he knows quite a lot about Jewish history. Religion has always been one of his little fascinations… so he’s very enthusiastic about learning about your faith. He’ll be a little awkward at first, not knowing which questions are ok to ask, but eventually, he’ll figure it out.

If you ask him to, he’ll observe some holidays with you, but most of the time he goes out of his way not to. Just in the same way that he tries not to involve you in his own practices. He doesn’t want you to feel like he’s overwriting your faith, and he’s careful not to intrude. He’s a bit overly sensitive in that way, but it means well.

While Ludwig himself does not care for religion, he respects your devotion greatly! Your beliefs harm no one, so he’ll happily support you in any way you ask of him.

Frankly, he’d probably be the most likely person on this list to convert. It reminds him of the faith his rulers have tried to instil in him, but in a more peaceful and traditional way that appeals to him. It wouldn’t take much of a push to get him all in-

Even if he doesn’t convert, he’s still nothing but happy to come along with anything you bring him to. He’ll be a little awkward, feeling out of place, at the start. But as long as you’re inviting him, he might as well get as much experience as he can!

Regardless of his current convictions, he’s unlikely to join you in observing any of the less vital holidays and practices. He’s still young for a nation and he’s quite the workaholic, so he’s always running from one place to the next. But if you get him to settle down and connect with himself more spiritually, it’d probably do him some good.

Kiku trusts you completely, so whatever religion you believe in, he’ll be right there beside you. Not in converting, per se, but he’ll gladly join you in any open celebrations or gatherings!

He shows his support for your beliefs in a… very Kiku way. He won’t bring it up often, but he’ll do a ton of research on his own time. You never have to remind him when an important holiday is coming up! He knows. And don’t worry, he’s got everything you need already. But will he come to synagogue with you? Well… maybe.

Frankly, I can’t imagine him being a marriage person. If that’s what you want, he’s totally up for it, but don’t expect him to do much planning himself. The one gripe he might have is just that he wants a small wedding… so hopefully, you do too.

i know it's dead o'clock and already xmas here on the EST, but i've been meaning to try to drop this holiday hc blurb since, idk, dec. 1st. anyway... this time of year is, uh, not great for lou, so i'm gonna cruise down a list of things main verse (here) lou does to celebrate/not celebrate:

honestly? she doesn't really decorate her home with anything festive for the season. her store gets a little bit of a holiday makeover, but that's mainly to not bum folks out and keep that cashflow coming. she tries to respectfully represent a variety of holidays without appropriation or misrepresentation. for example, the baked goods she gets daily for the store become more of different holiday favorites across religions, faiths, celebrations, etc.

she was raised in a christian home, and thus, raised with christmas on the main stage, but, in her adult life, she really does nothing to celebrate. her idea of a good christmas is a bottle of the finest whiskey she can get her hands on, excellent takeout from whatever restaurant around her is open, and listening to probably the saddest songs she has in her collection, ending with louis armstong's "what a wonderful world." if you don't know the story behind that, ask after the holidays. i don't wanna be responsible for bumming you tf out.

lou spends christmas eve and christmas day volunteering anywhere that needs help (think soup kitchens, shelters, children's hospitals). it's better than staying completely alone...

as she drinks her christmas night away, she drafts at least ten texts to eddie. all with words like, "i miss you" and such. one of these times she's going to accidentally hit send and screw up her little life in solitude.

she sends out anonymous holiday cards to folks she cares about, like the conlon family. anonymous because she doesn't want people tracking her down and surprising her, and in the case of the conlons, she still feels so much guilt over what happened to shaun, despite them (sans dom) never blaming her.

sometimes, very rarely though, she go out and get laid. because santa shouldn't be the only one coming that night. bad joke, i know, but it's hers and i'm gonna embarrass her for that.

that's all my tired, pneumonia-ridden brain can think of now. pls be kind to your local vinyl-selling drunk this holiday season.

That’s a can of worms. Most of the digimon OCs I’ve got are connected with an AU story idea that’s been percolating for a Hot Minute. Main things of note about the universe are that there are no chosen children, no canon characters, the human-digimon partnerships are due to an online game that [reason pending] ended up slightly connected to the digital world, but the digital world has existed for as long as the real world. Humans in the digital world are converted to something closer to a digimon, and ones that die there are treated as digimon and get egg’d, losing their memories in the process unless backed up via a digivice.

That is all to say that there is so much rattling around my brain about this world lmao. Anyway. There are so many ocs in this setting that i’m just gonna pick a few of em to info dump about.

Characters:

Rush

Keemon > Yaamon > Impmon > Wizarmon > Reapmon > Beelzemon. Self-indulgent reality hopper. Sometimes breaks things and/or makes things weird by yeeting themself into a reality. That noodley little impmon I drew recently.

The purpose of Rush is usually to be a living macguffin. In this case, they jumped into this reality, splitting off a new timeline because of the Major Change of there being a person where before there hadn’t been. The rules of the digital world decided to be strict about the Weird Thing that invaded, converting Rush into data and having them solidify as an egg, sans memories. Memories slowly come back as they digivolve, they end up traveling with a group of humans with their digimon partners, shit goes down, eventually the day is saved, yadda yadda yadda.

Rush-with-memories is a fairly even-keeled individual, having bounced around realities and dealt with plenty of Situations. Rush-without-memories is an inquisitive creature with little regard for personal space and a whole lot of confusion, once they get past the just-vibing stage they were in as a keemon and yaamon. They have thumbs, an ability to set things on fire, and little regard for how squishable they are (they learn, and shortly after also learn how quickly they can skitter on all fours. thankfully, pretty fast).

Beelzebumon - The Ratvatar (don’t call him that)

Demon Lord. Similar vibes to the Beelzemon in Digimon World: Next Order. Demon lords’ cores exist outside the realms of space/time, with physical avatars in each of the realities that can ‘respawn’ after a time if they are destroyed. The demon lords’ powers are split up among their avatars, so adding a new split makes them eeever so slightly weaker. Beelzebumon doesn’t care, the rest of the demon lords are displeased. The ripple that happened with the split let him wiggle out of the dark area so he spends most of his time taking in the sights and occasionally watching the shenanigans that a bunch of human children in the digital world are getting up to. Might give them a helping hand in passing, if only out of amusement of derailing the plans of the other demon lords.

He finds the fleeing-from-danger impmon, who is less afraid of him than whatever was chasing them. He lets them tag along for a bit, vaguely intrigued when they talk about the bits and pieces of memories they’re getting back. When they come across a little band of humans he herds the impmon towards them so he can go back to his preferred state of mostly-just observing. He’s the first one to figure out the little impmon is the reason reality got a little wibbly wobbly and made a new branch.

Kai & Storm

Kai- Human that would very much like off this ride, please. (to be fair, all the humans want off this ride at some point) Storm- Kai’s partner, Puttimon > Cupimon > Patamon > Angemon. Just glad to be here.

Intended to be the primary pov duo. Sheltered religious kid figures themself out in the digital world whether they want to or not. Have I mentioned this bunch gets stuck in the digital world for years? Cuz that’s a whole Thing when they get out and they’ve all aged like five years in what seems to everyone else to be [exact time difference pending]. Kai takes a while to warm up to Storm, since they didn’t play the game nearly as much as most of the others that got dragged in, and *gestures at the whole impromptu long, dangerous camping trip.*

Storm just wants his human to be happy and safe. Once he’s able to maintain his angemon form for longer than the length of a battle he spends most of his time as that, since it’s big enough to pick Kai up and haul ass if something dangerous sneaks up on them. Which, due to the maneuverings of some grumpy demon lords that assume the humans appearing was the cause of the split, is a fairly common occurrence.

Lawrence

Agunimon. Previously human, died in the digital world, came back as a digiegg. Regained most of his memories with time, most comfortable in his agunimon form (fairly human-shaped, has hands... useful things). Pretty fly for a dead guy. Ends up playing a bit of a guardian role for the human gaggle, leomon-adjacent but with less dying. He’s still a pretty vague idea, but I just think he’s neat. Big ol armored fire guy with horns, being used as an impromptu jungle gym for a bunch of kids and their tiny digi buddies.

Otherwise there’s a gaggle of other human kids and their digimon partners, to fill out the “a bunch of kids who played this game at one point in time who happened to be close to/in contact with their computers and got yoinked to the digital world” requirement, most of whom are background characters. Plus some mature digimon that take some pity on the kids and help them out, and at least one more human-now-digimon that doesn’t much care to prod around for old memories and is quite happy with how she is now, thank-you-very-much.

Pairing: Female OC x Levi Ackerman

Brief Summary: This story takes place a few years after the Fall of Shiganshina. Devon Alba is in her final year of the 101st Training Corps (844-847), due to her success as a cadet she gets the chance to meet Captain Levi. She doesn’t think too much of him until he catches her in the midst of doing something that she isn’t entirely supposed to be doing. But surprisingly, this leads to something unexpected...

Keith, Monty and Devon stood outside the girls bathroom. They’d all just finished their classroom studies for the day.

Monty was excitedly going on about the health benefits of several herbs he’d learned about in one of his survival skill classes.

Keith leaned against the wall, “Monty, can we please talk about something interesting? You're hurting my brain.”

Monty shut the book in his hands, “Sorry, just thought you’d want to know that rosemary leaves are good for wrinkles.”

Keith suddenly straightened, “Are you tryna say I have wrinkles?”

Monty grinned while Devon jabbed him with her elbow.

“No-he is not.” she interjected.

She wasn’t in the mood to hear Keith go on a tangent about his looks. Keith was very sensitive about the upkeep for his ‘beautiful’ face.

“If I have wrinkles just tell me.” he demanded.

“He’s just messing with you, beauty queen.” she rolled her eyes.

He glared before slumping against the wall again, “Not funny.”

He then grumbled, “My mom still wants to see you guys come by to get free facials.”

Keith’s mother was a beautician—which was a relatively new career path but it was slowly gaining more traction. It was also the main reason why Keith cared so much about his face.

“Psh—as if.” Monty declined.

“Your loss.” Keith looked over at Devon, “What about you? My mom wants to meet you.”

“Me?”

He glanced away quickly, “And Imada.”

“She’s already met Imada.” she stated.

He suddenly appeared flustered, “Yeah well…you're the only one in the friend group she hasn’t met yet so she’s curious.”

He then faced Monty, “You’d probably be interested to know that Imada is coming to get a facial on friday.”

Monty’s face turned beet red, “Oh.”

Keith tilted his head—his tone mocking, “Not too opposed to getting a facial now, are ya?”

Monty glared.

Keith punched Monty’s chest playfully, “When are you going to tell her, big guy?”

Monty shifted nervously, “I really shouldn’t have told you guys.” he mumbled.

Devon smiled a bit, “Even if you didn’t, it wouldn’t be that hard to figure out.”

“What?!” Monty exclaimed in horror, “Am I obvious?”

Keith chuckled, “It’s not a bad thing. It’s kinda cute. You look like a lost puppy around her.”

Monty looked like he’d just been electrocuted.

“Relax. It’s really not that obvious but since we know you—it is.” Devon corrected.

Monty ran a hand over his face, shaking his head.

“It doesn’t even matter. She doesn’t like me.”

“You don’t know that though!” she rebutted.

“I do know it.” he sighed.

“Oh please,” Keith snorted, “Devon, why don’t you talk to Imada and see what she thinks about him?”

“Um..”

“Wait-but you can’t tell her that I like her.” Monty added, looking petrified.

“Guys, I really don’t think I’m the one for this,” she complained. “If she asks me why I’m asking about you-which she will-then I’m gonna have to tell her.”

“But you can’t.” Monty insisted.

“But she knows when I’m lying!”

Before anyone could respond, Imada emerged from the bathroom.

“Hey guys. I just heard someone rip the nastiest fart I’ve ev—“ she paused when she saw all their faces, “What happened to you guys?”

“Nothing.” They all said in unison.

Imada folded her arms, “You guys are horrible liars.”

Keith slipped his arm around Imada’s shoulders, “You know, the regular dumb shit. Just told Monty that you were gonna get a facial at my Moms on Friday and now he wants to come along to fix his wrinkles.”

“Wrinkles?” she giggled. “He’s only nineteen.”

“Apparently stress can give you wrinkles.” Keith informed her.

Imada glanced over at Monty as she lightheartedly asked, “MonMon, are you stressed?”

“What’s there to stress about?” Monty responded.

“I can think of a few things.” Keith said with a devious smirk.

Monty shot him a look, “I’m gonna beat your ass.”

Keith winked at him, “Spank me, Daddy.”

Keith bolted a second before Monty ran after him. The girls laughed in their wake.

Devon glanced around once-more before slipping into the kitchen. She closed the door behind her with a relieved sigh.

“There you are.”

She froze-nearly going into cardiac arrest-until she saw Levi’s slouched frame sitting on the kitchen counter.

She was speechless.

“You going to stand there all day? I’m hungry.”

She swallowed-her mind racing with a million questions.

“You…” she trailed off.

He looked over at her and raised a brow.

“Never mind.” she muttered.

If he wasn’t snitching on her then she wouldn’t complain. The whole situation felt so bizarre. Captain Levi coming back to eat her food? She didn’t even think that was possible.

She walked past him to the food storage freezer. She grabbed a bunch of vegetables before plopping them down onto the counter besides Levi.

She then went to the pantry to retrieve onions and canned beans.

He glanced down at the array of ingredients beside him, “How many more vegetables do you need?”

Despite his monotone voice, his sarcasm wasn’t missed.

She flushed, “That’s all. The recipe for this meal actually has meat in it but I don’t have that so… vegetables will do.”

After that, he let her cook in silence.

Every so often, in between glancing at the recipe and preparing the meal she’d shoot glances at him.

He’d slid off the counter and moved his perch to one of the stools nearby. She’d caught him looking at her a few times. Other times, he kept himself busy by wiping down his personal knife with a handkerchief.

Despite his downcast countenance, she couldn’t help but notice how handsome his side profile was. His nose was quite literally perfect. His roundish face would’ve given him a more youthful appearance had his half-lidded eyes and ever-present subtle scowl not existed.

She shook her head, refocusing on the task at hand-which was to stir everything together. After a moment of doing that, she reread the recipe to make sure she’d completed all the steps before returning all the remaining ingredients to their designated spots.

When she returned from the freezer she saw Levi standing in front of the stove. The lid of the pot in his hand.

He was still peering down at its contents when he said, “It looks like shit.”

She rolled her eyes, “Does it smell like it though?”

She took the lid from his hands and placed it back over the pot.

“Give it five more minutes and it should be done.”

Five minutes later, they were sitting across each other in the same spot as yesterday. They both had steaming bowls in front of them.

She reached out to hand him a spoon.

He took the spoon, “You said this was chili?”

“Yes-Vegetarian chili but yes.”

For some reason, she couldn’t bring herself to eat just yet. She was too eager to see his reaction first.

He scooped out a small portion and raised it to his lips. He took a small sip before taking the whole spoonful.

She saw him close his eyes for a moment-as if savoring it-before nodding in approval.

She smiled wide—wanting to jump up and fist pump the air but she contained herself.

She looked over to see him staring at her with wide eyes.

“What’s wrong? Is it good?”

“Yeah, it’s—“ his brows furrowed for a millisecond before continuing, “It’s good.”

She tilted her head-wanting to decipher his expression, “Were you not expecting it to be?”

“Pft. Cocky already?” he noted dismally.

“What—“ she then registered how her question had been taken. “No. But…I suppose, since you did come back for my food instead of snitching on me I am more confident in my skills.”

“I can still snitch.”

She reached out to take his bowl, “I’ll just take that back-“

He swatted her hand away, “Get your filthy hands away from my soup.”

She gasped before narrowing her eyes, “Oh so it’s your soup now.”

“Last time I checked the only reason you got to cook in that kitchen today is because I let you. So, yes, it’s my soup.”

She stared in astonishment before scoffing, “Whatever.”

“Don’t be a brat.”

She gaped at his brazen words, “I-I’m not!”

“Whatever.” he mocked her tone.

A slight laugh left her lips as she blushed-realizing how childish she had sounded. She glanced up when she felt his gray eyes boring into her face. It would’ve felt like he was glaring at her if that wasn’t his constant expression.

He gripped his spoon tightly, “You didn’t eat yet.”

“Oh-right.” she nearly forgot to try her own chili in her excitement.

She ate a spoonful and hummed in approval. It was hearty and flavorful. Much better than the bland soup they were typically served. Though, she couldn’t fault the chef for not making chili because it would use up more than half of the rare shipment of vegetables to serve all the cadets.

He watched her eat. It was oddly satisfying to see her eat so…fulfillingly. Something about her poise made him see just how grateful she was for each spoonful. He’d seen people eat like that before…homeless people.

Has she ever been homeless?

That pretty blush returned to her face and she lowered her spoon.

“What?” he said, his voice tight.

She avoided his gaze, “I can’t eat when you're… looking at me.”

He was silent for a moment-assessing her reaction.

“What’s there to look at?”

Her eyes widened, “A-are you serious?”

“Very.”

“But you were literally staring.”

“Was not.”

“Were too!”

“Such a brat.”

A slight chuckle left her lips before she raised a brow, “I didn’t realize Captain Levi had a sense of humor.”

“Who said I was joking.” he said, his face completely expressionless.

She ran a hand over her face, “You’re impossible.”

She swore she saw the corner of his mouth twitch but her view became obscured when he turned his head down to resume eating the chili.

She fell asleep that night feeling rather giddy. It was quite an unfamiliar feeling but she let herself revel in it.

Cooking in solitude every night had been her little secret. A moment in time that she enjoyed alone. And somehow her little secret had become a party of two.

And surprisingly enough, she didn’t hate it.

In fact, she kind of wanted it to happen more often. It felt nice to have someone else-someone new-around. Especially someone she knew she could learn so much from. But-just like herself-Levi wasn’t exactly an open book.

A small part of her wanted him to be—at least with her, anyway. But she didn’t dare get her hopes up. He was one of her instructors after all.

The things I did by Lolo-ro fic review

Chapter by chapter, until i got distracted by the story lol.

Still fairly new to marauders but am loving it.

summary review: I truly adored this fic, probably my fave Wolfstar so far. I thought the worldbuilding was fantastic, as well as the characterization of baby Harry. Fairly angsty, but with plenty of fluff to make up for it. The raising Harry idea is becoming one of my favorite tropes, and this fic did an amazing job of weaving parenthood into a world that is still filled with complexities and evil, as well as lives outside of the main characters.

SPOILERS BELOW BEWARE

Chapter One

Again, the aftermath for Remus is getting me

So so so sad, and him believing Sirius innocent makes it worse

The traitor shit is horrible to deal with emotionally im sure

I am upset to realize just how much remus ignored harry in the books/canon

Like thats ur nephew fr come onnnn

Chapter Two

Aw he’s doing a good job as a dad

This fic is making him out to be very forgetful, fully forgot about both harry and Sirius

The pacing is much more clear in this which I enjoy quite a bit

Cutesy Christmas, cutesy harry

Literally obsessed with alastor moody he’s so fucking cool and we BARELY KNEW HIM in the books because of FUCKING CROUCH

This chapter was incredible, good baby harry, good angst, good FIGHT (love romantic arguments, make me nostalgic) (imy [REDACTED] we fought so cutey)

Ok I think I complained earlier about this, but it’s important for there to be conflict and issues when there’s this much trauma. Great plot choice. Also makes it 20x more interesting

Fuck Peter. I fucking hate Peter.

Chapter 4

Ugh stupid muggles messing everything up

Someone should try to kill them all off or something idk they’re getting in the way

But this is shaping up to have some LEGAL ISSUES which I LOVE because im a fucking NERD <33333

Harry is so cute. I actually prefer this to the last baby Harry bc he has sm more personality.

Almost forgot the meat of this chapter omg its good im getting distracted

Sirius and Harry together was a NEED bruh actually so cute

And I talked to you kate about this earlier but remus has been different in other fics and I do kinda like him in this one, he’s more depressed and stressed than normal, but the forgetfulness almost lends itself to aloofness in a way that fits him

I very much appreciated him being so kind to Sirius. While I understand him being pissed at him for thinking he’s a traitor, the man is in Azkaban, like you’ve got to chill out, talk to him about this stuff when you have more than 15 minutes and less dementors

Anyway that scene was nice, I like the idea of their little family

Chappy 5

Good shit again

THIS is the perfect chapter length, not so long I forget what happens but no so short I have to stop reading every five seconds to review

The werewolf prejudice is a big thing in this fic, im not sure how I feel about it. Obviously from an equality standpoint, werewolves should be seen as human. Yet, there is something to the idea that the actual transformed wolf is very dangerous. I’m worried the wolfsbane study will be viewed as Remus “hiding himself” or something like that, when it should be viewed as a solution to the one thing holding werewolves back.

This can’t be compared to real life discrimination. You can’t be like “so you hate minorities” because none of the minorities I know turn into wolves once a month bruh

Anyway, Dumbledore being morally grey-ish, making mistakes but always anti-voldy. He’s such an interesting character. I like his presence in the book as well. Hagrid should come back soon he’s so nice.

Chap 6

Permanent pass <3, so cute. Having to abandon muggle friends? Not cute. Fuck Dumbledore, but only like a little

Not a dumby stan or hater tbh hes just a little silly in both directions

I’m so conflicted on this situation. Yes, it SUCKS that Sirius thought remus was the spy, but it’s not necessarily damning. It’s likely he convinced himself of it because it was the most painful option so it must’ve been the truth. It seems like fear, almost, and jealousy of the wolves over him? Might be over analyzing and overomanticizing but that is what im seeing atm.

The teaching position goes fucking CRAZY man, If remus was my history teacher my life would be GOLDEN

Do you think remus lupin would be a good addition to upper H hall yes or no

Chapter 7

Jesus fuck I forget how sad all this shit is sometimes

To begin with, the teaching position seems great. I do wish Remus would understand that he’s qualified for it

Speaking of teachers, I would love to see who the DADA teacher is, I know its not permanent but still fun

Anyway, I think 7 kids would be the end of me. I love children, and I still relate to Remus far more than Arthur in that scene, there’s actually no fucking way.

Like yes give me a shot I cannot do it, the strong drink joke was a good cover because I am sure its Arthurs greatest desire

Also, love him just dropping interest about muggles, would love to see that chat actually play out but it seems unimportant

But maybe it’ll be how he catches worm tail …

Azkaban visit was good, Sirius is being less racist, and Remus is being kind. Wish they would love each other again already but slow burn wins <3

So Sirius FORGOT that he and remus broke up, which is CRAZY

There’s a whole lot of forgetting in this fic im realizing, very relatable

I would actually kill myself

I’m sitting here pondering how I would react in this situation and genuinely tweaking just imagining it

He needs to go break it off with him, he can explain, there’s not really another option for him. If he maintains this it’s going to end poorly. I’m assuming he’s going to do that anyway, as it creates the most drama and is fantastic for the plot

I do think Remus is underestimating the importance of being taken even somewhat seriously by the Wizengamot. I know it’s not what he fully wanted but it’s legitimate progress.

Chapter ten

WHAT DID I SAY HE’S NOT GONNA TELL HIM

This chapter INFURIATED ME

Also im gonna start skipping chapters bc otherwise the review will be long asf

Snape is a piece of work, obviously. Like Remus isn’t being shitty to you and you were a fucking death eater man. Also he despises children which is a red fucking flag

Unless its secretly regulus as an animagus that would be sick asf I saw fan art the other day where he was a cat and it was good

Moving on, im appreciating the slow burn on discovering Peter. Like they easily could have discovered him 3 chapters ago when remus was first there.

Chapter 11 & 12

Actually devastated reading this im going to be honest

Lots of shit going down, forgetting and memory issues are such an interesting plot device, it makes any part of the story unreliable, and confuses the reader just a little bit. It also creates a lot of dramatic irony, which can often be very sad and tragic

Also, order members calling voldy “Voldemort” all high and mighty is a bit strange considering that they all chewed harry out about calling him “He Who Shall Not be Named”

Snape stole the parchment read it and slipped a potion into lupins chocolate that he would give to Sirius to sabotage their relationship

Bc Dumbledore told Snape everything as his extra special spy obviously

Ok so I was wrong it was dementors again. And remus told Sirius about the breakup. Which is, the right thing to do I guess

This is so hard for everybody man, Sirius’ perspective is heartbreaking

At least it shows his chats with dumby, who happens to be the funniest person in this fic

Chapters 13 & 14

Reconciliation came a bit too easily but thats alright, I want them to be happy

The amount I would give to receive a cat for Christmas. I want that so bad bruh.

Ok at least they’re acknowledging how bad Remus is with dates

Okay him being a dog seems helpful, I do feel like that should have been noticed a while ago

Honestly am feeling a bit lost in the romance, long distance pining is not my fave but hopefully Sirius will be freed before long and they can be happy for once.

I just am so curious as to why they broke up, I know thats the point but it just doesn’t make sense

Also ignore my random theories I keep throwing about, I dont actually believe snapes cat is regulus or that Snape poisoned Sirius its just fun

Chapters 15-16

They explained the plan so I know it will go horribly wrong

Ok this is strange. The relationship dynamic has developed very differently than I thought it would. They really need to figure out this memory I’m sure it all a misunderstanding or some stupid shit like that

Someone thought someone else killed somebody else

Also why is this so mirroring to me and [REDACTED] from like July forward

Distant over text/parchment, not allowed to say I love you, basically only physical, guilt for things I couldn’t remember

The memories are throwing me for a loop. On the one hand, everything is devastatingly sad. On the other hand, they’re all being emo and need to get it together

Sirius getting “lost in his memories” is a cool idea though, I’m liking the new magic thats being explored in this fic

I need them to have a huge blowup fight. Like a massive fight that sucks and is terrible. I don’t know how they’d do it but I need it

Also I think I can take one more “oh poor Sirius” memory until I blow my brains out. Big whoop your plan failed and you were insecure about it, I’d reach out to the closest person to blame to. I blamed [REDACTED] for not winning an award at model un, not his fault. Sirius can blame Remus for his plan failing and have a moody moment then move on, trust can be rebuilt.

Last five chapters

Ok everything is happy again and the reunion went FANTASTIC

The one thing I feel like I haven’t commented on enough in this fic is Snape

His character is well done, he’s so mean and bitchy but not like completely evil which is just hilarious, I love his and Remus’s dynamic its very good

I also think his relationship with Harry is funny, and I’m glad it’s not as shitty as it started out.

“Harry, friendly and bright-eyed, took the opportunity of silence to lean onto the counter, put his face right up to the goblin’s, and say, “Meow.”

Remus pulled Harry off the counter, embarrassed, and plopped him on the ground. “Don’t meow at people, love.”

That is actually the silliest cutest thing I’ve ever read in my entire life. Literally would birth a child rn bc of how cute that is. Jesus fucking christ bruh

Can they stop making out in public. Like in front of one other person in public. Its so awk

I KEEP TRYING TO GIVE KUDOS THIS IS LIKE SUGAR BRUH SO SWEET

My criticisms are growing though, there are a few things im concerned about but im gonna finish the story before I discuss

Why can I not escape my Draco phase. One sentence about “the little Malfoy” and harry going on playdates and I RUSH to think about how that changes their school dynamic and how they treat each other and all this shit

Looks like they’re leaving some loose ends on purpose, telling not showing a lot here at the end tbh

I WANT A CHILD HE’S SO CUTE

This is the first time ive actually been obsessed with a child character hes ADORABLE

Gonna read the epilogue before writing my final review, but don’t want to take it in for my review

FINAL REVIEW:

Ok. Done. Having to write this a day after finishing because I fell asleep right after

My favorite parts

ANGST: very well done, miscommunication can sometimes be overdone but I feel like it worked this time. I loved how easily apparent the love that was still there was.

Humor: This fic made me laugh out loud multiple times. This was mostly Harry, but there were a couple of moments from the doctor guy and Arthur that made me giggle

CHILD: literally have never seen a child portrayal that was this good. Like literally from beginning to end it was good. I’m sure some people would read this fic and say 2 yo harry is too advanced, but he’s so bright and I feel like growing up with Remus would breed him to be a talker. The accuracy of the 8 yo and 11 yo at the end was good as well, it ticks me off when people fuck up ages of a child, especially one so parenting-focused as this

Depth of world building: I could truly see this world, like I understood the flat, I understood the weasleys, I understood the dorm at Hogwarts. The scene at their graves, everything was great.

Now my weaknesses

Some underdeveloped plots

Peter: they brought up having to talk to him, made it a big deal with getting a memory and then just abandoned it and said “remus had the perfect memory.” Then, the memory was SO MUNDANE. I’m sure the author just fucked up and had to figure something out, which is fine, just was a little dissapointing.

Poison: this is another where I think the plot just ran away from the author, but I was expecting something more than “Sirius asked them to fix it and they did”

Some(?) characterizations

Remus was perfect. Sirius was a little too nice, he’s volatile and little bitt crazy and I got less of that in this fic. Sometimes it was perfect. This isn’t really a criticism, more “it could be a little better”

Overall: 8.3/10

I truly adored this fic, probably my fave wolfstar so far. However, I know this is just because I love children and loved baby harry so much, so my rating is attempting to be unbiased.

Thoughts as a black person seeing the Hogwarts Legacy stuff

I’ve re wrote this so many times so I’m gonna stop fluffing it and build on point lates.

A main draw in for a lot of black people was the diversity. From the looks of it Hogwarts Legacy was able to capture a lot of black features and hairstyles accurately. A thing you still don’t see a lot in “popular” games less it’s the same 10 hairstyles.

I’ve seen loads of talks of transphobia but little to no talks of antisemitism and racism. While the transphobia gets the deep talks antisemitism and racism are usually added as tag on. And I know her transphobia is more prevalent especially on Twitter but I don’t think that means the other two should be talked about less

Brings me into my next point(WHICH IN GENERAL; NOT SPECIFIC) I think it’s an interesting to see how discrimination between (yt) lgbtq+ is handled compared to discrimination between poc/racism. This isn’t just a Hogwarts Legacy thing or a Harry Potter thing this is more widespread. You can say you don’t support Jk and majority of ppl will agree with you but you say the same things for idk Jefree Star(I have a better example but it’s for my next bulletin) and it’s the opposite

This one’s more for POC/black people who are watching this go down. A before I say what I’m about to say just know I don’t support JK nor will I be buying the game.

Does anyone feel sort of idk how to say it disconnect or non vigorous about the whole conversation. For me personally it’s seeing people go so hard on people buying the game, go hard on JK for transphobia, and then they will turn around and support a racist. MSI, Jefree Stars, literally one of the many yt ppl who have actively been shown to be racist on multiple accounts but are still shown to be in high regard of a mainly lgbtq+ group. And when black people say “hey don’t support xyz bc their racist” many times you’ll see people go “idc I’m still going to listen/watch them” and then you expect me to support you when dealing with a homophobe/transphobe? Not saying I wouldn’t but it feels…harder/frustrating.

I’m losing my train of though so before I totally forget I’m gonna jump the gun a bit. This is gonna be crazy and not favored by many. This is stupid but I have to say it. When it comes to something like Chik-fil-a that is a known costly restaurant that has donated to conversion camps(Ik this need to be fact checked but to my common knowledge it was true). And when lgbtq ppl were made aware of this many ppl responded “idc” “I still want to eat their” “joke” “joke” The jokes have continued even when ppl of conversion camp theory have come out and spoken how not funny the situation is. My point is I think that and Hogwarts Legacy shows a very similar pattern of lgbtq supporting something and giving them money even though they know the money is going somewhere that will harm ppl like them. But bc it’s not actively hurting them they support bc it gives them the entertainment/satisfaction or nostalgia they so desperately want. When it’s something racist, like Dollskill, you usually don’t see the same(I can only speak for the younger generation)

That was all but I’m really trying to open the discussion. This was written at 12:30am so it’s probably full of errors and nonsense. Also pls don’t be racist or rude. This just me brain blobing. It’s not a true reflection of me just some of my thoughts.

Hm great question… i spend tons of time in Central Yharnam & Old Yharnam.. they’re good. But for some reason the forbidden wood maybe ? I never found it really hard.

11. What impacted you the most while playing the game ?

The ambiance ? And way too much things but i will say the fight against the Wet nurse… Mergo really put le in pls 😂 i mean you have epic music and all and boom lullaby. + well i thought for 1s i would need to give a hit to the crib… i feel not well for some reason.

When and how did you discover the game ?

Alright! Finally i can tell the story >:)

Alright so in the summer 2020 I discover and played all the Kingdom Hearts games (ok I never finish Re:Com and I just watch the cinematic for it and 365/2days and Re:coded but basically I did everything else. It’s a bit complicated to explain the story and all if you didn’t played the game, it’s not as cryptic as Fromsoft but still ! I talk hours and hours about theories and made lots of friends ! It’s just we don’t have a main game since 2 years so it’s calm but when Kh4 or Missing link is going to release watch me go crazy !👀

BUT we still got the end of the two little mobile gauche game Khux and KHDR (Union X (cross) et Dark Road. With the BIG LORE (yeah almost all the lore in there) in may 2021 and the end of khdr (main antagonist backstory) in September 2022 (we were supposed to have it in 2021 ahhhhh) so it did prepared me well for Fromsoftware lore digging ;) really I love this series… the characters are amazing (especially in the mobile 2d gapcha game XD even the player !! And oh my gosh children died too… on screen (yes I'm not joking between Disney and magic there's Darkness lurking wink wink ;) ! I swear it’s crazy and mind blowing with the time travel and all and I’m gonna stop here I just lost everyone who don’t know anything about it XD)

The point is… THIS is the secret ending of KHUX

The one on the left is a new mysterious character, Sigurd. And the other one is Brain. He became my favorite character of the series afterwards. I love him ;-; the state represents Ephemera one of the other protagonist.

I can’t wait for Missing Link… i’m so hype for their story…

So after this and i spoke with a friends who played fromsoft games too and he talk to me about Bloodborne a bit. I saw a few thing and so I always told myself (even before the finale but even more after) if I were to ever played a soulsborne game i will begin with this one.

2022 arrived. I got a ps5 played ffvii remake after the original. Elden ring released but i didn’t knew if i would like it or not so instead well i buy Bloodborne. And i love it. ❤️

idk who you are and idk if i ever will but know that i think about you sometimes cause it makes my heart so happy that someone loves one of my characters so much even tho i get scared to talk about them more often cause i dont wanna be obnoxious, you are always amadeus anon in my heart and i love you pls come into my inbox whenever you want to ask about whatever i will try to answer quickly sometimes it just takes a while for my brain to feel ready but i will Always try to answer questions about my ocs

i will ramble about some of my characters under a cut i dont wanna flood anyones dash with my bullshit if they dont want it!!! anyone playing in a campaign with me..... proceed with caution if you read!!! even tho i am coming back to this after deciding i needed to be done and. i didnt say too much spoilery shit. i didnt even talk backstory much. its fine.

as for ocs im obsessed with i am Entirely Not Normal about my character nowell, i wasnt fully normal about him when i first made him, but at the time i was only really talking to my ex and all the parts of nowell that really made him Nowell to me were things he didnt want to discuss so i didnt get to explore him to his full capacity. i dont blame him since nowell is one of the darkest characters??? ive ever made???? in terms of the things hes gone through? i affectionately call him a walking trigger warning. but it still made me sad sometimes

now tho? when i was able to put him into a modern horror dnd campaign and i played him a bit before our current hiatus? where ive gotten to fully explore him and every single facet of him, good and bad? it really unleashed him fully in my brain and it kinda makes me really emotional. i fully developed his backstory out more than i felt i could before (because what did it matter before if i could never utilize it? had to dull him down to be easier to deal with and honestly i think thats had an effect on his character now too) and ive learned more about him, hes grown into himself and he truly is out here changing my brain chemistry. i love him so, so, so much and i have drawn him more than any other oc i have im pretty sure. hes my most drawn son and i really wish i was braver about posting oc art on my blog now a days like i used to be in the past because i love my art of him. im pretty proud of it and the way hes made me want to create again. i just wish i could do him more justice yknow??? g uh hes everything to me im holding him so so gently in my arms

and also my boy veth???? g o d i love him sm especially since i!!! recently got to confirm/drop a big lore reveal about him in my campaign thats been going for like 2 years at this point!!! my party finally knows hes the only survivor of the royal family of kuzania and thus the rightful heir to the throne and not the BBEG whose currently ruling! i feel So Free now that i can mention his princely-ness truly i do. hes just. so sweet and so lovely and hes everything i love in a character cause truly i just accidentally made My Type in a man and now its just veth. the only way he could be even more my type is if he was a tiefling instead of an elf but he makes up for that by being like. 1/4 platinum shadow dragon. and one day thats gonna pop out with him i know it to be so. i want him to be able to have a bit of a draconic-ish form because of how STRONG that 1/4 dragon blood is. im gonna work on it eventually, but im v happy with him hes so pretty and i adore him

he also recently canonically got with a PC in the campaign (hes a main story npc!!!) and im So Not Normal About Them theyre driving me up a wall and i literally cried over them earlier this week because my friend came at me with a fuckin baseball bat of an answer to a vague scenario/question i told them about cause im batshit and think about character scenarios every day of my life.

im also leaving my setting for that campaign open for friends who arent playing in it to make characters and throw em in and one of my friends made an au of a character she already had that im Deeply And Completely Obsessed With named creed to put him into this world specifically to date veth cause theyre obsessed with veth like i am their chara and we had joked like "aha what if we just picked them up like barbies and made them kiss just to see if it worked out" and now they are literally The Couple Ever. like there have never been 2 men who were more perfect for each other in this entire world and the way they have a fuckin grip on me. i have also cried over them several times. veth is a poly king and by GOD is he winning rn. we have made this au version of creed canon in stadalon so veth is gonna have TWO boyfriends!!!! perhaps 2 husbands! perhaps 3!!!! cause another friend has an oc to kiss him with!!! we shall see!!!!

guuuuh and also my vampire spawn shadow genasi/tiefling requiem??? recently hes been So Loud in my head. i specifically made him to romance a character my friend made (same one who made creed) named harbinger cause i saw him and immediately fell head over heels and begged her to let me kiss him and other friends in the call at the time he was shown immediately jumped on the bandwagon wanting to make characters in relation to him (2 of them made siblings for him, theyre triplets! and the other just decided to make the most normal man ever (a fuckin lie. theyre Not Fucking Normal) because of the triplets happening and me being like imma out-goth this goth tiefling and out came requiem) and the last friend in call decided hell why not make a whole campaign out of these losers just for this One Blue Tiefling Our Friend Made That We All Love.

in campaign shit is Constantly Happening but me and them were talking and she told me that harbinger is finally starting to get to a point hes falling for him and requiems already been there cause hes disney prince ass level falls hard and fast. im cheering and screaming and kicking and crying i love them so much we keep talking future scenarios for them and im so deeply in love with how soft and gentle and adoring theyre going to be with one another one day and i would die for them both.

plus i just. Love requiem sm hes such a big soft sad bastard and the fact that he loves and cares so fuckin deeply and hes so kind? so open? so genuine? was not in the plans when i first sat down to play him he was supposed to be more moody and a bit more intense than he is now. he held my face before i even opened my mouth to play him and said no. i am kind. i am patient and understanding and i was born to love and to take care of people. i have also cried over him. i love him so so much and im just guuuUUUH yknow what i mean.

anyway. ill leave it at those 3!!! or i will never shut up!!! i have more ive been thinking about a lot recently but i will leave it at my 3 most precious blorbos if you made it this far i adore you pls take all my love
