when i lived in ontario it drove me wild that most of the torontonians i spoke to barely knew that the maritimes existed but i was particularly flabbergasted when i'd mention a capital city and they still had no idea what i was talking about, simply because i believed that we'd all learned the provincial capitals in school so i (perhaps erroneously) assumed that people would know THOSE at least, but . am i anomalous for knowing the capitals of the provinces and territories ??? there's only 13 total ???!
