In all seriousness, I really do think it’s entirely plausible that Kazuki and Rei can (and/or will) fall in love with each other, but I don’t necessarily see them as suddenly looking at each other with attraction and having that “why am I having these thoughts about another man?!” panic moment that seems to be a common trope in anime whenever gay romance is involved. Their relationship isn’t that simple. No, I think it will happen over time in a more subtle way. And I feel like we’ve already begun to see this unfold.
In episode 7, we learn that Kazuki struggles with his grief of losing his wife and unborn child, all while feeling overwhelmed and under-appreciated for all he does for Rei and Miri. He then tries to have a night of fun by gambling and surrounding himself with women, all things he would normally enjoy. But by the end of the night, he’s still miserable. Then he has the conversation with his sister-in-law, and we find out that he feels guilty about moving on and finding happiness for fear of forgetting his past love. But she reassures him that it’s okay to continue living his life. It’s what her sister, his wife, would want. And a small weight is lifted from his shoulders. And when he finally goes back home, and finds a sick Miri sleeping peacefully with a clearly-worried Rei sleeping at her bedside holding her hand, we see Kazuki gazing fondly at the two of them. The look on his face says “These two are my happiness.”
And I think that realization will continue over time. Now that Kazuki no longer feels as guilty about moving on, I think he’ll start to really see Rei as family. As someone he can build a life with. Someone he enjoys spending time with. Someone he truly loves and cares for. And a day will come when maybe he’s out running errands while Rei is at home with Miri, and a woman starts talking to him. Kazuki doesn’t think anything of it at first, but then he realizes she’s hitting on him… and surprisingly, he doesn’t feel any particular way about it. In fact, his mind instead wanders to “I wonder what Rei and Miri are doing. I better hurry back home.”
And Rei… he’ll start to open up more around Kazuki, and show his vulnerabilities. He’s already started doing this with Miri, but I think we’ll begin to see him telling Kazuki more about his past. Maybe not even in a dramatic reveal type of way, but more so in off-hand comments or random stories that he suddenly remembers. And without realizing that things have changed so much, he’ll find that he’s truly enjoying his life with Kazuki and Miri, that he can actually laugh about things and feel relaxed. And one night, as he’s trying to fall asleep in his bathtub, maybe he’ll struggle to get comfortable. So he instead finds himself going to Miri’s room and curling up on the floor next to her bed, and quickly falling asleep. Kazuki walks in to find him, laughs to himself, and without even thinking about it, picks Rei up and carries him to bed. Not Rei’s bed, though. No, Kazuki subconsciously realizes that Rei needed the comfort of having someone next to him while he slept, so without a second thought, he brought Rei to his own bed. And when he went to lie down next to Rei, he was careful not to get too close. He didn’t want to disturb him after all, and it’s not like he had any other intentions but to simply sleep near each other. But the next morning, Rei wakes up to find Kazuki’s arm around him. And it doesn’t even occur to him to move Kazuki’s arm. Instead, he just looks at Kazuki’s sleeping face, feels the warmth between them, and thinks “this… is nice actually.”
And eventually the both of them will realize that they would do anything to protect one another, do anything to make the other happy. And maybe one day they’ll start to see each other in a different light. Maybe Kazuki will begin to notice the way Rei’s eyes light up when he gets a new video game, or maybe he’ll see that one piece of Rei’s hair that refuses to stay in the ponytail and think “hah, that’s adorable.” And maybe Rei will start to compliment Kazuki on his cooking more because he knows it makes him happy, or maybe he’ll take Miri shopping to find the perfect birthday gift for Kazuki but ends up getting several things because this thing reminded him of Kazuki’s smile, and this thing is Kazuki’s favorite scent, and this thing reminded him of that inside joke they had, and this thing…
So instead of looking at each other one day and thinking “why am I having these thoughts and feelings about a man?!”, I think they’ll look at each other and think “this feels right. This makes sense. Of course I have these thoughts and feelings about him.” Because at that point, the love is already there.

aang's not your typical warrior hero. he's a decolonial hero - a trickster one - in the mold of anansi (hugely reminiscent) and br'er rabbit. and that's why i love him
yeah!!! aang is very much a trickster who uses his opponent's aggression against them, sometimes without even lifting a finger ("ahoy! i'm admiral zhao!!!") and people who expect him to be idk. beowulf. are missing the fucking point. katara, on the other hand, does model the classical western hero more faithfully. unlike aang, who never wanted this responsibility, she is someone who fantasizes about being a hero, saving people, going on quests, etc. and her arc most resembles the so-called "monomyth" (i hate you joseph campbell) or "hero's journey." however, it is somewhat complicated by the fact that her apotheosis does involve her shedding that carefully constructed narrative she has told herself to survive in favor of expanding it somewhat, allowing for shades of grey that acknowledge the humanity of all involved parties, including herself. and then zuko is typically regarded as something of a byronic hero, although i'd contest that notion simply because so much of his character is about striving for a goodness that is just out of reach, rather than relaxing his code of honor out of moral lassitude (most of the time, stolen ostrich horses excluded). so it's not that they're not all classical heroes with very concrete and defined heroic arcs, but katara is the most [culturally] typical formulation of heroism, which is something that people largely refuse to recognize for the simple fact that she is a girl. alas.

Was looking though the birthday art and noticed that Mikoto has a split expression here, which is a motif we see alot in his character. The left side of his face appears to be more generally happy while the right side appears to be more shy and still smiling. I’m sure the right side is supposed to represent John here which makes me really sad as this is probably one of the only times we’ve seen him truly smile. And he appears more shy here, like he’s not used to this kinda stuff.

So. This scene. A few things:
Love the way it's almost a parallel to Viren and Callum's dark magic dreams in terms of the spotlight effect and of course potential light/dark symbolism. And of course that score tugs right on the heartstrings
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rayla is a character who places a lot of emphasis on memory in her dialogue and action, partially because memory is the biggest source and antithesis of grief, something she's experienced a lot of in various ways (and often as the sole carrier of her family's grief). Her blades are all she has to remember Runaan and Ethari by (no pictures or other people who knew them as she did, unlike Callum, Ezran, and Soren with their loved ones) as she says in 4x08; she had to remember her parents throughout most of her childhood and now her other set of parents as well, as she spent 2+ years believing she'd never see any of them again; her vow to always remember and carry Callum with her in Dear Callum; and last but not least her "Just remember me, okay?" to him in 3x08 as a parting request, particularly reinforced since the Silvergrove literally erased her. Rayla is a character who greatly struggles to actually put down anything she carries with her, emotionally. So it's heartbreaking but unsurprising that memory is a focus here as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then we get to the crux of it, which is just like all three of the parents that stand before her, Rayla has always put the world above her own needs and her own family, just as they put their missions and duty ultimately above her. It also nicely sets up the contrast between her and Callum in 5x04 as his response is the opposite to hers, as well as showing that Callum and Ezran are also her Family (and have been for quite some time). And I do also think that the memory of Rayla's parents here is what's helping guide her to her own conclusion to not spend any more time on the coins (and she does a very good job at masking her pain/grief about this season, much better than she had in previous seasons) because she knows, or believes, this is what they would do in her scenario. To prioritize the good of the world over their loved ones at the cost of great personal suffering. Speaking of costs...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The "at any cost" is a great motif callback to Rayla's repeated insistence on price paying ("But I'm ready to pay that price" in 1x06 / "But if I'll die, I'll just be paying the price they should've paid a long time ago" in 3x08) as well as her statement in 3x09:
Callum: We have one objective today: protect the Dragon Prince. Rayla: At any cost.
The fact it's about her literally coined parents is just a bonus, as well as the potential set up later of Rayla saying they have to stop Aaravos, at any cost, while holding an assassin's bow... (but that's for when the possession plotline comes back around I suppose).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Last but not least, the relative warmth of the vision sequence is taken away, as the apparition of her parents and their warm smiles fade, and Rayla is left alone holding the bow, but brokered by new resolve. And then immediately arrested seconds after she finishes crying. Poor girl can't catch a break

can you all IMAGINE being Vaggie???
you're an exorcist. You're supposed to kill demons. You're an angel. All you're life you've followed the first man, and heard tales about the dangers of questioning heaven. Tales about Lucifer. You know he's not to be messed with and that he's the king of hell. That heaven FEARS him to a degree.
then you show compassion to ONE demon once, against Adam's orders, and boom. Now you're cast out. You're stuck in hell. Oops this cute girl shows up??? She's taking care of you?? Clearly your intuition that maybe the sinners didn't all deserve to be killed were correct. She's nicer than a lot of people in heaven-WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS PRECIOUS BEAN IS LUCIFER'S DAUGHTER???
clearly heaven was wrong about a lot of things, so if the big bad lucifer has a daughter this sweet, maybe something is up with him???
And then you meet him, and like, meeting your partner's parents is already nerve wracking and this is supposed to be THE king of hell, THE fallen angel, THE GUY THAT HEAVEN FEARS and the first thing he does is completely flub his words out of excitement, mispronounces your name, hugs you and calls you pretty???
Tumblr media
like how weird is that to process????

ok I don't think we as a fandom talk about the way Vash cries blood enough
Tumblr media
we only see it once or twice from what I remember, the one definite time being here ^ when the puppet attack first begins & he's dealing with the emotional agony of seeing so many of his family turn into puppets.
so it's clearly something that comes out only when he's in severe emotional distress.
the interesting thing is that Wolfwood is fucking TERRIFIED of him bc of it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
whatever this moment is, Vash is giving off the same sort of oppressive energy that Wolfwood's experienced with Knives. it's the first time during their travels that he's really been forced to recognize What Vash Is. he knew it of course, saw him in Jeneora, but he's such a goofy guy it's easy to forget.
but whatever Vash is doing here, it makes Wolfwood Incredibly aware of what he is.
so the real question i think is What exactly is going on here? is it unintentional? is it simply a response to the emotional agony?
Vash isn't the type to indiscriminately terrify everyone in the vicinity on purpose. he wouldn't be doing this purposefully out of anger while Wolfwood's there. no, in this moment, he's not even angry at all. he's Distraught.
going from This
Tumblr media
to this
Tumblr media
in just a moment.
yeah. that's some fucking emotional agony. i dont think Vash is doing this entirely on purpose.
but THEN...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
as both Leonof and Wolfwood stare at him in fear, Both feeling his oppressive energy, Vash then lets out some sort of blast that blows against everything between him and Leonof. it doesn't destroy anything, doesn't even injure him, but it's a physically tangible effect that scares the Shit out of Leonof & spurs him into motion.
there may be some anger involved in this moment, but it's not the hair-trigger rage you would expect from seeing his family turned into puppets. it's something Quiet, something almost cold. he's distraught, Resigned, & retaliating just because he has to.
Vash hates all of this. he doesn't want to fight him. he fucking Knows this guy too, knew him as a kid, & none of this makes sense. but he knows that he needs to fight him, & doesn't have any kind of choice.
but he's not happy about it. not in the slightest.
#speculation nation#fanny reads trigun#fanny's trigun analysis#trigun#trigun spoilers/#trimax spoilers/#adding that tag for tag goers. since this is a very trimax moment.#im just fascinated by the implications here. there's so much we don't see about Vash's abilities. him and Knives both.#there's the implication that he can read people's minds in the way he sometimes responds to thought boxes#and also the entire mental conversation he has with Legato. NONE of this is brought up.#the way Knives created that tree. they obviously can generate vegetation just like their sisters. or at least Knives can.#Vash creates that barrier. which I see as an extreme manipulation of gravity to prevent anything from going through.#and of course there's the explosions. with the angel arm theyre huge.#but then we see at least once Vash turn his finger into a lil canon. aka it can be done in a smaller form#and also the implications of him just making Bomb Bullets? mini versions of his giant explosions? What??????#so it brings the question of What If they could do these things on smaller scales? would Vash be capable of minor manipulations of gravity?#would Knives be able to just generate a fruit in his hand?#so many weird little things!!!! and we have no idea!!!!!!#but ykno what me as a fanfiction writer my entire PURPOSE is to extrapolate from canon. which includes their weird ass powers.#aka im going to make assumptions from the little bits we see in canon and im gonna RUN with them#definitely looking to do something with This moment too. Vash's oppressive energy... it will Definitely be fun.

wdyt of you zoya acted in the taylor? can you write an analysis. thx!
Yeah, sure. Although she doesn't appear much but for only one page. And her behaviour was the same as in S&B. Jealous of Alina, Zoya wanted to be the Darkling's jewel and was desperate for his attention.
Tumblr media
That girl wouldn't even say "Good morning" or something. She would be unprovokedly cold and arrogant. And literally for no reason.
Really, it isn't that hard to be kind. Especially since her remark to Genya here is deliberately cutting.
Tumblr media
She doesn't want to show weakness.
Apparently, being one of the Darkling's favorites was very, very important to her and add the fact that she was in love with him and we have Zoya being distressed and heartbroken that she no longer has his favor.
(Also, my Queen Genya you dropped this 👑)
Tumblr media
Amen to that.
Tumblr media
(S&B!Genya was slaying and for what??)
I believe Zoya regretted that action of hers not because she felt pity for Alina and her injuries, but for the punishment she received.
Anything to keep her boss' eyes on her. She seems to depend too much on him.
I know that Zoya is treated like a girlboss in this fandom but, personally, I don't like bitches.
I can't stan Zoya when she seems from the very beginning to be arrogant, unlikable and mean. The Darkling was the center of her world and whoever threatened her position, she would squash and yeet that person.
And the whole sad background that Leigh gave her purposefully in Nikolai's duology didn't change my feelings for her at all.

“Will doesn’t need a relationship to be happy”.
This is something I’ve seen people throw out there as to why Byler shouldn’t have to end up together for Will to have a happy ending and that anyone who says otherwise is reducing Will’s character to his sexuality. I think it needs to be addressed why that view is simply ignorant.
First off, I don't care that Will is gay. Will Byers became my favourite character back in the first season when he had a total of like fourteen minutes of screen time. I enjoyed watching the cast's reactions to his absence, and the goodness of his character shown in the flashbacks we see. I remember thinking "how impactful he must've been on these characters' lives for his absence to drive the story for an entire season," and the more I got to know him in subsequent seasons, the more I liked him. So, when it was teased, implied and ultimately confirmed that Will was gay, I couldn't care less. His sexuality didn't change how I felt about him in any way, but it did change how his narrative could be perceived.
Will being gay is a core part of his identity. If Mike and Will were not the intended endgame couple, the duffers wrote themselves into a corner by how they handled Will's sexuality, because of the message they are giving by committing to that representation. Will being gay is not the problem. Will being gay, canonically in love with Mike, and willing to sacrifice his own feelings for a heterosexual relationship is the problem.
I, personally, am a big fan of "don't need to be in a relationship to be happy" endings. In fact, it's what I'm hoping for with El, and if season four had been handled differently, I would like it for Will too, but the fact of the matter is, that's not what happened. They built up Will's feelings for Mike over several seasons, even despite the distance (both figuratively and literally) between them in between seasons, and now they have to commit because the truth of the matter is, gay people do not have the same representation straight people have in media.
A heterosexual character could go through the exact same romantic arc as Will and still not end up in a relationship without it feeling like a cop-out simply because there is a lot more positive heterosexual representation than there is gay representation. It is essential to understand that there is a difference in the message being sent simply because of the character's sexuality. Whereas the heterosexual character's journey's message would end up being "sometimes it doesn't work out, but that doesn't make the love felt any less profound," the gay character's journey's message would instead come across as "a same-sex romance is not as profound as an opposite-sex romance." Will, especially, in the van scene, where he used his own feelings to promote El, would be telling the story of how the best a gay character could offer would be to sacrifice their own feelings.
Now, I'm not gay. Despite being ace (♠/♢), I don't even consider myself to be a member of the LGBT+ community (not that there's anything wrong with identifying as LGBT+ if you do share my sexual identity). But I understand the importance of good, and positive, representation of LGBT+ characters in media, as well as the damage bad representation, whether intentional or otherwise, could cause.
And ignorance is not a sin. I wouldn't disparage someone for not understanding the implications, but willful ignorance on the other hand is different. You don't have to ship Byler, but you should understand why the ship is important and why it not being endgame would be so devastating even after it's been explained to you.

is there anything more insanely insane than the fact that lupin calls himself a hero repeatedly in an exaggerated jokey way to the point that there's even a fucking song about it that's assumedly sung from his pov and yet whenever someone asks him if he's a good person he goes. mm. well. hm. well no not really. in fact i'd be rather disturbed if you thought i was in all honesty!

okay i KNOW toji is a deadbeat dad and i am not defending his decision to sell off his fucking kid 😭😭 HOWEVER! there is a lot more to his character, that decision, and his second death than that…
(i Rlly like psychoanalyzing characters if we haven’t noticed)
Tumblr media
okay SO!
his last LAST words r to his son, asking what his (last) name is. megumi says fushiguro and toji is RELIEVED BRO bc it meant megumi didn’t go to the clan.
“but like toji sold megumi To the clan? why would he be relieved?” bc deep down he RLLY didn’t want his son to grow up in that environment.
in the scene where he’s talking to naobito abt the proposition, toji’s wife/megumi’s mom has died. he’s in MOURNING and grieving and ppl do some fucked up things while grieving. not all of them morally right.
but mamaguro, as we like to call her, was his anchor. the love of his life and she was gone. it wasn’t necessarily that he Hated baby megumi, but when someone who managed to drag u out of darkness suddenly leaves, it’s no surprise when u go BACK to that darkness.
so he’s all alone here with a baby. a baby that is half zenin. a baby that can Very well be a sorcerer and possess cursed energy. so he calls up his good ol’ uncle naobito
again, i do Not agree with that proposition at ALL like it’s crazy to sell off ur kid especially soon after ur wife died 😭😭😭 but generally speaking from toji’s perspective, it makes SENSE.
in toji’s eyes, if megumi has cursed energy, he needs to be around those who ALSO have it. he’d have a wayyyyyy better life without him there and the zenin clan would treat him much better than they treated him. sure, they’re the reason he has that scar, but he was a non curse user. it made sense to punish him.
but ALSO isn’t it crazy he told gojo abt that sell to the zenin clan in his final moments?? like u usually don’t say smth like that unless there’s a REASON…i’m not saying anything but! there was a reason…there’s always a reason…
also also he literally killed himself in that dude’s body so he wouldn’t hurt megumi guys CMON!!!
tldr; very very Very flawed character, but did deep down care for megumi. in his own way . at his own time .

Kinn humbling himself before Porsche in this episode is the single best thing we’ve ever gotten from them as a couple. I mean, Kinn went against his own father because of his love for Porsche. He chose Porsche over and over again. When Porsche confronted him about the lies, he didn’t try to make any excuses. He just kept apologizing until Porsche finally gave in. Kinn didn’t care about his pride. He wasn’t going to allow his pride to force him to lose Porsche so he apologized and took responsibility for what he’d done. Even when Porsche tried to tell him that his life is simple and not as lavish as what Kinn is used to, Kinn didn’t care about any of that just as long as he had Porsche in his life. He can be happy anywhere as long as he has Porsche.
Kinn has been so soft for Porsche in the last couple of episodes and I can’t even put into words how feral it makes me. Kinn went from being the guarded mafia heir to being a lovesick fool willing to stand up to his own father for the first time in his life. Kinn legit didn’t give a single fuck about chasing Porsche and leaving the compound just to be with him. He didn’t care how it looked to his father; he didn’t care if it made him look weak in front of his father either. His love for Porsche is way more important than any of that stuff. I know we have more angst coming due to Korn’s lies and shenanigans, but there’s nothing that makes me feel as if Kinn and Porsche’s love for each other will be threatened.

I saw your post hihihi, could you write some Aran X reader headcanons? (◍•ᴗ•◍) Like how Aran would act in front of his beloved when he realised he has a crush on them?
hihi ! sorry this took a while, im a slow writer & ive been busy lol
okay so. tried my best. i went with the idea of reader/beloved being someone who works for the wvba but isnt a boxer, left it unspecific.
first few bullets are pre-crush/general hc stuff, then the stuff u actually asked for happens. im still figuring out how i wanna characterise these fucks so if it seems odd or ooc please lmk
aran ryan with a crush | headcanons! gn reader
cw brief mention of alcohol and vomiting. nothing huge, just mentioned in passing but slapped this here anyway. also penultimate bullet point is a bit sexual but again only brief, u can skip over it
Emotions aren't Aran's strong point. Most complex feelings he has are released in the ring--he finds bloody noses and bruised stomachs are far more interesting conversation partners anyway--and the ones that stay rooted deep in his belly are routinely sweat out or lost in the haze of a night on the town. Rinse and repeat ad nauseum. Wallowing in it helps no one, after all.
But sometimes, a feeling in his gut won't get chased away as easily as, say, guilt or grief. A stubborn sort of stabbing, not unlike himself, gets tangled in his belly, too stuck for his stomach acid to burn through when wild nights come back for seconds.
As much as his thick skull in the ring would have you think otherwise, he's not dense. He knows what crushes are, had more than enough in secondary school, and he's not oblivious to it nor the source. He doesn't even know you *that* well--yet--but that's never stopped the heart from wanting.
cont under cut
There's no real "moment" he realises, no build-up, just sitting exhausted after a match well-won, and being now too tired to now fight the butterflies swarming his stomach or stop his eyes from following you as you pass by with a clipboard. He hides his gaze with a swig of water, drinking a bit more aggressively than he needs to and spills half of it, and by the time he recovers you've disappeared. The buzz in his gut doesn't fade, just deflates, and his hand meets his sodden hair with a half-hearted groan. Fuck.
For a while, he tries to shove it down. Where knuckles and bottles don't work, brute force emotional repression just might. "Not ready" to be tossed into dealings of love again, he'll try convince himself. Should that fail it's "Grown men don't have silly little crushes, make a move or get over yourself."
He's not as good at hiding his emotions as he'd have himself think. Just as he can't help a cruel grin in the ring, smiles find their way onto his face before he has a chance to realise he's pleased. What he intends to be a subtle smolder looks more like a hyena after a successful hunt, toothy and wide, with red blood swapped for rosy cheeks. Of course, he then attempts to recoup and snap his head away with an exaggerated frown, leaving you to wonder if he was happy to see you or wants to devour you.
Its embarrassing. He feels like a fawn, unable to properly control himself or function as soon as you step in the room. He swears all he has to do is smell you and his heart spikes not that he'd know what you smell like.
Pre-match, he doesn't want to see you. Or during, really. This suffocating adoration that came from nowhere has choked him enough to messing up in the lowest stake situations--he still gets teased over the time he intended to pass you your drink and full-hand knocked it over in his flushed haste--he doesn't want to risk it coming to bite him when it really matters. He makes a point to not provoke the audience close to staff, at risk of seeing your face--perhaps disappointed, perhaps amused--and throwing his game off.
And in turn, post-match is his favourite time to see you. Though Aran Ryan being calm will happen when pigs fly, the rush of a bout serves well to at least temper his energy a bit. Not as erratic, or bouncy, and a bit more in control of himself. Plus any fuckups can be blamed on muscle fatigue. You dote on him as best you can, he's noticed. Asking if he needs anything, offering to ease the strain rippling under his skin... Another bonus of being all tuckered is his face already being red and sweaty, so he's in no rush to hide flush that creeps up his neck as you fuss over him.
He'll make a show, teasing you for wanting to help, and as subtly as he can try to delve a little deeper, find out more about yourself. Whether you're working his wounds or jotting down on a clipboard, your company is exhilarating. It makes him giggle laugh. The insane cackle of a man has never sounded so nervous.
As he learns about you, as you grow closer and start meeting outside of designated hours, he feels both at ease and more tense. Scared of scaring you off, as he often finds he does, but he still won't dial himself back for your sake. Wants you to see him bear all and like him anyway. So he checks. He does what he wants, does his best to not act too different where it matters, and simply... checks. Waits for your reaction. His intention is to see if he should pursue, so to speak, that you simply enjoy him and his company regardless of his reputation or persona or who he is on a genuine level. As well as if, yeah, he didn't need to yell at that guy like that, that was just uncalled for. He's perhaps not the best judge on that end, though.
Speaking of trying not to act different, well, everyone acts a fool in love. He can certainly try, but an early 20s man in a male-dominated sport? There's at least a few masculinity issues trailing aftet him. He can't help but puff his chest out like a bird of paradise when you compliment him, or flex his arm when you so much as graze it. Simply can't stop himself from saying how he could protect you if you're walking through a forest, or wanting to compare hand sizes, regardless of your size compared to him.
Aran Ryan is still Aran Ryan. While there is an extent of not wanting to scare you off, he's not holding back on the name-calling or insults, no mattet how playful. He may dig too deep into genuinely sensitive areas though. Maybe he's still in denial about this, trying to prove it to himself. Or he's just not that great at boundaries.
He's nearly tripped over his own feet several times. One time you managed to grab his hoodie only to also fall onto his back. Nearly died, he swears. Cushioned your fall quite nicely at least. He'll want to make a lewd joke about it, but gets embarrassed as it leaves his mouth because he gets a mental image so it descends into stuttering and ends up insulting you instead to cover himself. Brilliant work Ryan really making yourself look great.
Aran's a mess of a man. He's all over the place. Stuck between wanting to impress you and staying true to himself unabashedly, and he finds doing both is very difficult. Past lovers compounded that. And as long as his affections remain unrequited or secret, that's not really going to change easily. Maybe its comfort he needs, or just a helping hand. Maybe you should say something...
GOD im so sorry this is SO all over the place i qrote this over several days so my flow wasnt there and i dont wanna put too much effort into thesee. i. need to write down how i charactetise these guys stat so im uh sorry if this is shit. i would have a nicer ending to out a ribbon on but idk how to end bullet point hc stuff so. enjoyyy
AND TY FOR REQUESRTING !!! as much as im bitching this was fun to do !!! and also feel free to send more of these in !! i can do more like this or i can do thise ones that like its a scenario and all the boxers react to it those seem fun

And there they were, clinging desperately to each other among the ruins of Will’s childhood. Of their childhood, so violently ripped away. Crying, choking, drowning as the rain stripped them raw. Will held Mike as tears and rain water mixed, because if he didn’t have Mike then what was left of him? Of who he used to be? Will could hardly remember it himself, he didn’t think Mike could remember either.
Not after what he’d said. What he’d done. What they’d both done, in the Before, even if Mike had forgotten.
But Mike was here, here and holding him. Like he was truly just as desperate, just as scared to lose what they were as Will was.
Though Will thinks the pouring rain may have washed that away already. It was certainly trying to, pelting them both and soaking Will to the bone with every pained breath he took. Like simply being here was a crime. It probably was.
Will gripped Mike tighter, and Mike choked out another sob in response. Another muddled apology, too distorted by the overwhelming crash of water against the ground. Against their skin.
Will felt like the rain might wash Mike away too. Take away the very last piece of whatever was left from Before. Maybe it already had. Maybe that’s what that fight, what those awful words, had been for. To rip away the last piece of Will’s heart.
Maybe Will was clinging to a ghost.
Maybe Mike was too.
Maybe it was only a matter of time before they were no longer solid enough in form to hold. Before they slipped through each other.
Before they faded.
Before.
Clinging to Before, a poem of sorts, loosely inspired by @bookinit02 ‘s latest chapter of “slaughterhouse (an outlet mall)”

Another thing I noticed while looking at the birthday art!
Some of the characters actually have the birthday flowers that were assigned to them this year in their art.

I know that there are other birthday flowers for the characters but I can’t find them all and Kazui and Mikoto are the two I’ve found with matching flowers. There’s a lot of specific flowers in these birthday cake art and especially how the guys have flowers in their pockets it’d be really cool to find the connections. And this is interesting because that’d mean these specific birthday flowers were thought of and associated with the characters before this year. And milgram has a lot of flower symbolism and stuff (especially with Shidou) so when we see a flower, we know that it’s important and maybe could use it to analyse their stories more if we want.
