11. What is that one set you made that just won’t die? Well, I keep getting horny comments on this star wars gifset LMAO. Also this gifset I made for indiegamesource has the most notes out of ANY gifset I have EVER made.
19. What is your gifting process like? I usually watch a show or play a game and then find a scene that I like or a character I want to represent. Then I steal the scene from youtube or torrent it (or record it if its a game that i own). After that I shorten the scenes I want using the screen record on VLC media player. Then I rip the frames into photoshop, colour/sharpen, convert into gif. At this point I usually leave the post in my drafts because I like to post things between noon and 3pm so the gifset will wait until the next day. Then I pray the gif goes into the tags lmao
8. What gif trend do you hate? I haven't seen it in a long time, but I used to REALLY hate the ones that are super super dark to the point where I can barely see what is actually in the fucking gif lmao. I also don't particularly care for gifsets that use lyrics from songs in the gifs themselves, but i just don't interact with those posts. it's none of my business if people want to use their fave songs in their edits
29. Have you ever posted a set, realized you made a mistake later but it was already too late? I've had a few where I realized I didn't move my watermark to the corner so its covering someones like face or some shit LMAO but ive posted them anyway since I don't save my PSDs and I'm not remaking the whole set for one hoochie mama. I've also had a few where I noticed that things were oversharpened by accident
36. Do you gif with something specific in mind or do you just wing it? I typically have something in mind but that'll mostly just be a very specific scene for example one that made me laugh or sad. It'll also typically be like I want to gif a set showing off a character (for example, my recent Aqua from Kingdom Hearts gifset for gamingladies or my romanced Isabela from Dragon Age gifset). It's VERY rare for me to plan it down to colours or angles. I've had a few gifmaking friends who will specifically hunt down colourschemes like pastels only or they'll do only specific angles like faceless gifs. I don't get that detailed. I'm jealous of people with the patience for that though lol
43. Do you keep videos forever or delete them once you’re done giffing? I delete them LOL. I only have 2 terabytes on my laptop and I want to use that space for viddy gam.

ok well in no particular order except for this first one:
wings x arts and symbolism - i truly believe this is my magnum opus. i had sooo much fun with this much n i was honestly pleasantly surprised it did so well!! took quite a bit of research but it was rly i think probably the most fun i ever had making a gfx :') maybe i'll do a part 2 just around demian
jimin tour poster mockups - i've made a few tour poster sets now, but i think jimins' are still my fave out of all of them! i tried smt different than my hobi ones, and i think i was able to make smt rly fun and interesting that captured jimins' versatility rly well :3
hoseok hair colour compilation - again, ive done a few of these palette-type gifsets but i think hobis came out the nicest :3 i just like how the colours came out, the low contrast worked rly well to make the higher saturation not too jarring - one of my best colouring jobs methinks!
magic shop website mockup - THIS ONE....took too damn long getting it just right but i think it was worth it! i spent ages just trying to get the colour palette just right and i spent maybe a year on and off trying to perfect it, so definetly this is one i think had the best payoff :')
aaaaand finally, idk if this even counts lol and its kinda silly but this top 10 korean songs of the first half of 2020 set i made for a tag game :3 it was just for a tag game n i made it very quickly, but i rly like how the colouring came out and how nice it looks <3 now if only i could make a palette set this nice regularly :')

pangwave + words :: i can't choose between them which one i like better because they complement each other. ive said this countless times before but....... wave just found in pang something he never thought he would, especially after all he went through and all the walls he built around himself to stay safe, but know he feels this..... comfort, this safety within pang and he doesn't know how to deal with it, so he tries his best to show he cares through gestures and looks instead of words, since can't quite explain what he feels to himself. wave probably struggled a lot while navigating this relationship with pang but...... pang knows. he knows wave cares for and loves him because even if wave doesn't speak, his eyes tell. and they tell a lot.
earnpear + watine double date headcanons :: the LOVE i have for this post man. it's like my comfort post, everytime im sad i read it and i make myself laugh with my own dumb ideas and just how endearing this whole scenario could be if we were to ever have it :(

The Great Kiss Poll results are in...
Thank you to all 266 people who voted. I don’t think there are many surprises here, so let’s just get straight to the results. The winner, with 27.8% of the vote, was Bergamo. It is therefore crowned the most popular kiss. If you’re forgotten it, it looks like this:
It was very closely followed by the first kiss/the berm with 27.1% of the vote. Yes, you read correctly, there was less than 1% between them.
Most people gave a second and third choice. I had a play around with giving the different choices points and adding them up (e.g. 3 points for a first choice, 2 for second, 1 for third) but however you look at it, you end up with basically the same results.
The only slight difference in order is if you add up every vote- so first, second or third choice all get 1 vote. As you can see below, the first kiss gets very slightly more overall votes than Bergamo- therefore the highest number of people have the first kiss as one of their top 3 kisses compared to the others.
(The after midnight kiss is the least popular whichever way you look at it. I don’t like to judge but what’s wrong with you all? It’s not my absolute favourite but everything about that kiss is gorgeous. Call me by your name and I’ll call you by mine, Elio, Oliver, Elio, Oliver, Elio... let’s seal this deal with a kiss, Elio grabs Oliver, Oliver with his eyes closed, blissfully happy, Elio with his eyes open, rolling onto Oliver... The kisses feel so different to me. I find myself watching different ones at different times depending on what mood I’m in. The peach scene kiss makes me tear up. Bergamo almost makes me gasp for breath. With midnight/after midnight their being together just feels so right, after waiting so long. For weeks the garden scene was my favorite for the way Elio falls in to Oliver. And you can’t beat the anticipation from the first kiss. I love them

so i probably don’t have a single favourite thing that i looove giffing, but some of my top faves are moon lovers and doctor who,,, idk i just love giffing those ml bc of the lovely costumes and sceneries and also potential for angst, dw bc of the cOLORS and the BRILLIANT cinematography tbh

so im not sure smth inspired me to start making gifs as such, but like... lets see, way back in 2011 or smth when i joined tumblr dot com as a tvd icon blog (i kNOW)(my icons were bad and also poorly sized tho, funnily enough, the 200 sizes are used here today lmao) i followed a bunch of tvd blogs and saw lots of gifsets? im pretty sure thats the first time i actively tried to make gifs, and it was like... something for a fanfic, someone was like ‘id love to see an edit or smth of this scene in my fic’ and i was like i can probably do that no?
but i had seen gifs before that, just used more in graphics i guess

tbh idk if i have a specific style? That is to say ofc that everyone has a specific style and by extension so do i, but i don’t know my style... i guess soft sharpens lots of colors and late to the party when it comes to coloring trends? im not sure tbh

in fact i still have my first gifset bc that blog is saved, so: here
as you can see, it was.... bad. i had no idea about tumblrs allowed sizes in terms of either dimensions or file size (thats why the first one wont move rip), sharpen what sharpen, my coloring.... did i even use coloring? if i did it was after the way you’d color graphics, not gifs, and also....... listen i straight up didn’t scale it down. this was the size of the video. it’s just a crop. it’s not even a GOOD crop. i didn’t know how to crop to a specific ratio, either, so they’re all just attempts at getting the same width and height...
basically i was small
so from that to this (my latest gifset) i’d say.... a Lot right?
